Ryu looked on at Vega. He thought about the sick and twisted kind of person he was. Ryu remembered the events from over 10 years ago. The cage fight where Ken had almost died, the kiss Vega stole from Chun Li when she was sleeping, and the fight in Chun Li's apartment that almost killed her. It angered him.

"You made a huge mistake coming here today," Ryu yelled in between attacks. Vega was very fast and formidable. He managed to climb up a fence to catch a break from Ryu's attacks. Set in position, he jumped off the fence and made a connecting blow to Ryu's face, it knocked him down. For a moment Vega thought himself to be the victor of their fight.

"Don't get up anymore. You'll just look pathetic," Vega taunted. Ryu's anger had overtaken his rational emotions. He began to evoke the dark hadou. In an instant, Ryu rushed Vega and sent him flying with a powerful punch to the gut. He winced in pain. Again, Ryu attacked with such hatred and despise. As he was beating him black and blue, the townspeople caught his eye. He stopped for a moment and noticed everyone looking at him beating Vega senseless. Ryu realized what a spectacle he was making of himself. The dark hadou had subsided, leaving Ryu to think clearer.

In a nearby hospital…

Chun Li and Sagat were waiting for news about his mother in the waiting room. He kept pacing back and forth. Chun Li reassured him his mother would be alright and there was nothing to worry about. The doctor finally came out.

"Mr. Sagat, your mother is going to be just fine," the doctor said. Chun Li put her hand on Sagat's arm in relief. "If Ms. Li hadn't acted as quickly as she did, I can't say we would be having this conversation now. Count your blessings, Sagat. You may go in and see her." Sagat rushed to her room while Chun Li stayed in the waiting room. A few minutes later, Sagat came back out.

"My mother would like to see you. Would you please come back with me," he said.

She wants to see me?" Chun Li asked surprised. She got up and followed Sagat in the room. As she walked in, Sagat's mother bowed her head with her palms pressed together.

"This is my mother Dao. You two never formally met," he said. Chun Li greeted his mother with a wai.

"My son tells me you are the one who acted quickly to help save my life. I am sure he hasn't told you but my heart doesn't always cooperate how I'd like it to. The terrible shock of that horrible clawed man had my heart skipping beats," Dao explained.

"I'm just happy that you're alright. The clawed man is a very dangerous person," Chun Li explained.

"Again, I want to apologize for my son. I don't know what he has done to you, but I can tell from the fight you two had the day you arrived, he must have done something very terrible," Dao bowed her head and placed her palms together in a wai. "Please, forgive us."

"Mother, please don't meddle in my affairs!" Sagat interjected. Dao reached for Chun Li's hands and empathically held them. She looked into her eyes.

"Such pain you have felt. I can feel you've been through so much at such a young age," she felt.

"How do you know that?" Chun Li asked.

There are many things I can see without opening my eyes," Dao said wisely.

"Sagat is very lucky to have you. Please take care of yourself. I can tell you are a wonderful mother," Chun Li smiled warmly.

"And what of your mother?" she questioned.

"I never knew her. She died before I was old enough to remember her," Chun Li answered.

"Your father?" Dao asked

"Murdered by M. Bison," she said with a serious tone. Dao understood the sadness in Chun Li's eyes.

"You should get some rest, mother. Chun Li needs to get going now," Sagat pushed.

"It was very lovely to meet you. I wish you a quick recovery," Chun Li bowed and began to walk out. Before she could exit the room, Dao had one last thing to say.

"There is someone waiting for you," Dao quickly said. Chun Li turned and wondered what she meant.

"Who is waiting?" she asked.

"The boy by the river," Dao laid back in her hospital bed. Sagat tended to his mother and told Chun Li the drugs she was on might be making her say things out of the ordinary. Something seemed to resonate with Dao's words as she left the hospital. Chun Li wondered where Cammy was and how Ryu fared against Vega.

Back in the village…

Cammy made her way to back to Sagat's house. She saw the part that was burned and wondered what happened while she was gone. She began to look around for Chun Li, Ryu, and Sagat. Not being able to find them anywhere, she went to the police station. She walked in and saw Ryu talking to a police official.

"Ryu! What in the bloody hell happened to Sagat's house?" Cammy asked

"Cammy! Where have you been? Chun Li and I were very worried about you. We didn't see you anywhere during the fire and fucking Vega…" Ryu explained

"Vega? What does he have to do with this? Was he here?" A hot rush went through Cammy's body. She hated Vega with a passion.

"We can only assume he started the fire and attacked Sagat's mother. Chun Li is with them at the hospital now," he explained.

"Good lord, all this happened, I was only gone hours. Holy fuck!" Cammy couldn't believe all that had happened in such a short time. She wanted to see Vega. She wanted to look into the eyes of the man who she hated so much. "I want to see him."

"He's out cold right now. It wouldn't help anything, Cammy," Ryu said.

"We'll just have to wait until the bastard wakes up. I have a lot of questions for him," angered, Cammy left back to Sagat's house and Ryu followed.

The next morning the four fighters were sitting at the breakfast table eating.

"Ryu, excuse me if I skip training for today. My mother is getting released from the hospital and I will be taking her to her house," Sagat explained.

"Take as long as you need. We all hope for her fast recovery," Ryu put his hand on Sagat's shoulder to show his support.

"I'm going to the police station to question Vega," Chun Li announced.

"I'm going with you. Maybe I can get some answers out of that fool," Cammy thought about it all night. She was hoping to find out if Vega knew anything about her pregnancy.

"I don't want to see him again. I'll be going to the waterfalls to train if you need me. I trust you two can handle him yourselves," Ryu excused himself from the table, kissed Chun Li on the forehead, and left to practice his training. Sagat sat quiet at the table. Chun Li and Cammy could see he was fuming.

"If there's one thing I can remember from my days stuck in Shadowlaw, I know when something is upsetting you, Sagat," Cammy said.

"I'm going to kill Vega," Sagat rushed up from the table and began to run out the door. Chun Li and Cammy ran after him. It took both girls a mighty struggle to stop him in his tracks.

"Sagat, please, listen to reason!" Chun Li yelled. "We need to question him. He might be able to give us a lot of information."

"I need to find out more about my past and he might know!" Cammy pleaded. It took a lot on convincing for Sagat to stop his bout of irrationality, but he finally came to his senses and left to the hospital where his mother was.

At the police station Chun Li and Cammy went to the stall where Vega was being held. He was finally awake but very weak.

"Hey asshole, we have questions for you. Answer and maybe we'll allow you some painkillers," Chun Li said sternly. Vega tried to sit up but he winced in pain.

"Two delectable creatures coming to see me, how lucky is my day," he repled weakly.

"Cut the bullshit, Vega! Answer me this…," Cammy began, "What did Bison do to me?"

"You'll have to be more specific than that, Chiquita," Vega said.

"I told you long ago not to call me that! I know Bison impregnated me, Sagat has told me as much. What did he do with that child?" Cammy pressed further.

"Ah yes, the beautifully pregnant Cammy White. Such a sight to see and not even a stretch mark," he taunted.

"Where are the children Bison sent to be trained?" Chun Li asked. "We know Shadowlaw is still recruiting children for illegal activities!" Vega laid silent in his cell, he would not cooperate at all.

"Where is my child, Vega? You must know something!" Cammy banged her fists on the cell multiple times in anger. "Where? Where? Where?" Vega remained silent. "Motherfucker! I'll beat it out of you!" Chun Li tried to calm Cammy. Vega laughed at her which only angered her exponentially.

"Cammy! You have to calm down. This won't help. We can come back later!" Chun Li had to drag Cammy away from the cell. Outside the police station, Cammy screamed in frustration.

"I know that fucker knows something!" Cammy yelled.

"You should remember it's Vega. He won't be so easy to talk. There's got to be a way. I think we're going to have to let Sagat deal with this as much as I hate to admit."

"No! I can make him talk. I need to get back in there," Cammy tried going back in. Chun Li tried very hard to reason with her and keep her level headed. A monumental task but she finally got her to leave to police station. Exhausted, Chun Li left to find Ryu at the waterfall.

Chun Li looked around for Ryu and finally found him. He had climbed up the rocks and found a remote spot where the water was calmer and the trees grew high around it. She didn't want to disturb him practicing so she watched him from behind a tree. She watched him as he moved gracefully practicing his fighting moves. The way the wind blew his gi against his body showed his toned abdominal muscles, his hair blew around his face in which Chun Li could see handsome facial features, the light shone through the trees highlighting his masculine features. "Cammy had a really rough time. She's getting really anxious having no answered questions about her giving birth. Vega confirmed it and that's all about we got out of him," Chun Li explained.

"That must be frustrating…How are you feeling seeing him again?" Ryu knew Chun Li despised Vega with equal contempt. Chun Li shrugged her shoulders.

"I'm a little numb to everything. It all happened so quickly. I would really rather just practice with you." Ryu nodded his head. The two lovers moved rhythmically in the water. Their movements mirroring each other, the water splashed all around them. Ryu glanced at his wife.
