Tam's POV:
As I walked through Havenfield's pastures, I suddenly covered my ears at the loud voice."SOKEEFE IS CANNON!" I heard someone scream a few moments later before pure silence rang through the fields.
I walked over to the source of the squealing, which made me think of a certain teal-eyed girl with dark hair. I smiled at the thought.
I had simply come to Havenfield to guilt Sophie into telling Linh to stop forcing me to wear that pink "HAPPY SHADOW THOUGHTS!" T-shirt my sister had made.
Pink just wasn't my color.
Except if it was Biana's pink, with that shade of light-
Stop it, stupid brain, I shrieked to myself, mentally facepalming. My brain always went places I didn't want it to go. Especially to Biana's beautiful-
I once again shut the thought down.
I forced myself to become aware of my surroundings, before seeing a familiar brunette clenching her mouth with her small hand. If only I could hold it...
This time, I didn't even bother beating myself up, because I knew my heart would simply flutter harder when I saw her, and that my brain would keep thinking of her.
I smiled instead. My only smiles were only around the brunette in front of me; that was what I liked the most about her.
Biana Vacker and I were meeting out of nowhere, a pure coincidence. In case you thought I was stalking her.
"What are you so excited about?" I asked, curious of what made Biana look like she was containing a squeal every two seconds.
She turned around to see me, and her cheeks turned the slightest bit pink, making her even more beautiful.
Snap out of it Tam, she doesn't even like you back, I thought to myself sternly.
"H-hey." she greeted shyly.
I smirked at her. The motion revealed my sharp white teeth.
"Hey," I answered, my voice slightly wavering.
I stared at her for a few seconds, silent.
"So are you going to answer my question?" I asked, putting my hands in my pockets.
She tilted her head slightly.
"Which question?" she asked.
"Why are you so excited?" I asked again.
"Oh," she said, with realization painted all over her cute face.
I waited for her to answer.
"It's just that Sophie and Keefe are going out, that's all." she muttered.
My smile turned into a grimace.
"You mean Mr. Annoying got a date before I did?" I asked incredulously.
She laughed.
"Yep!" she teased.
'If only you could be my date.' I thought to myself, blushing the slightest.
"What did you just say?" Biana asked.
My eyes widened.
'Did I just say that out loud?', I panicked.
"Yeah, you did." Biana answered with her eyebrows furrowed. "Are you sure you're alright?" she added, brushing my bangs from my eyes.
Yes, we were that close.
I felt my eyes widen even more.
"I'm so sorry Biana, I didn't-" I was interrupted by lips being pressed against mine.
At first, I was shocked, and didn't kiss back with my shoulders as tense as a brick.
Biana Vacker, my long time crush from the first day I met her in Exillium, was kissing me. My brain needed time to process that for a few seconds, before I decided to kiss back.
We both laid on the ground, in comfortable silence.
"Do you want to go out with me?" I suddenly asked.
Biana turned to me, her side to the ground.
"Do you really mean that?" she whispered, her heart-shaped lips lifting into a soft smile.
"In every single way," I grinned with a sudden softness in my silver eyes.
"Fine, but on one condition," she smirked. I motioned for her to voice her thoughts and nothing would have braced me for what she was about to say. "I get to call you Tammy."
My eyes widened.
"You wouldn't!" I exclaimed in shock.
"Oh yes I would!" she giggled.
"Fine, but only because it's you." I told her, smiling.
Biana nodded happily.
And as we stood hand in hand, I thought about what had just happened. It all felt like a dream.
And all I could think about was how I now had a new name printed on my soul.
Tammy, Biana's voice echoed in my mind.
And the worst thing was: the nickname suited me.
