Percy's POV:

I was standing on the edge of the sand, listening to the comforting sound of the waves on the little beach at the border of Camp Half-Blood when Will and Nico came to see me.

I had been worried sick about Annabeth's state, but Will had threatened "give Annabeth the wrong treatment" if I didn't "GET. OUT".

"Percy!" I heard yelling from behind me.

I turned around, putting my hand in my pocket, ready to draw out Riptide. I wasn't used to people screaming my name in alert anymore since the war with Gaea ended.

Nico and Will were walking ever so slowly in my direction.

"You should come, Annabeth won't wake up, but I'm not very suprised with Will's normal incapacity to heal people." Nico said, with a deadly serious voice.

Will gave him an amusing glare.

"I heal people very well, thank you very much." He replied.

That was their kind of flirting.

"And this is your type?" I asked at the intention of Nico, trying to sound annoyed, but everyone knew I shipped them.

Nico clapped me on the back in a brotherly way.

"Yep!" he replied simply. "Now we've gotta go help Annabeth!"

He and Will, with their hands slipped together, walked in the direction of the big house.

I smiled at the couple. This was so cute.

I ran up to them trying to keep up with their very big advance.

"Hey guys, you've got to wait for me!" I said when I reached their side and slowing down to their pace.

"I don't remember reading in the big book of rules of Camp Half-Blood that we always had to wait for Sir Percypoo Jacksonous when he was too slow, do you Will?"

Will chuckled.

"I don't remember there being a big book or rules of Camp Half-Blood." He answered.

Nico looked at me with a pointed look.

"See?" he said, before turning back his gaze forward.

I rolled my eyes, but I broke into a run when I saw the Big House.

Annabeth was in there, and maybe she would would wake up in my presence. Once I had reached the door, I opened it and walked up the stairs. I entered the Infirmary where numerous beds were stationed. On many of those beds were Demi-Gods who had suffered a wound from training or from the last Capture The Flag, but the only one unconscious was Annabeth.

She was laid down on a bed next to the window. She had claimed it was her favorite spot to think while she was in the Healing Center just after the war.

I sighed in relief.

I walked up to her and, sitting on the edge of the bed, I took her hand.

Just as I did, the crystal that had replaced the cute bracelet with owls and elves on it around her thin wrist glowed a deep gold.

My eyes widened before I turned away from the luminosity.

It was almost as bright as when a God was disintegrating.

I yelled, covering my eyes to protect them with my hands as I turned back at Annabeth.

The light suddenly extinguished itself.

I took hands off away from my face to see that...

Annabeth had disappeared.
