Tam's POV:
I scrambled out of bed, looking through my room for my Imparter."Where is it?" I panicked, messing up all of my things on my desk, trying to find a rectangular object.
I had just had the most horrible dream in my whole existence.
Biana and Sophie, confronted with a tall horrible monster with Iggy-like wings and skin the color of what I wore to a Planting. Oh, and Keefe was there too -though that was less important.
But this dream wasn't a simple scene coming from my imagination, it felt way too real for that.
"Got it!" I whispered in victory as I grabbed the Elvin Gadget into my hands.
So my solution was to hail the others, asking for advice. I now trusted them fully, and they were, though it pained me to say it, my friends.
I clicked on the 'FRIENDS ? ゚メタ' button on my Imparter, and waited for them to reply, ready to burst out that the others were in danger.
"Tam, why are you hailing us at 8 A.M?" Fitz asked, rubbing his eyes with his hands in his bed.
I rolled my eyes.
"No one asked you Ritz Cracker." I snapped at him.
He seemed to frown, but I didn't really care.
"Tammy, what. Are. You. Doing. On. You. Imparter. When. You. Should. Be. Sleeping?" Linh exclaimed behind me.
"I have to warn the others about something." I explained quickly.
"So, what's up?" Marella asked.
Everyone had answered and I was ready to tell them.
"The others are in danger. I had a dream about them being attacked by a monster." I said, shaking my Imparter.
Linh sat next me so that she was also visible on the screen. I noticed Marella's cheeks were tinted with a slight red when Linh was present.
Suspicious.
"He means Sophie, Biana and Keefe." She explained.
"Wait, you mean Sophie's in danger?!" Fitz almost yelled.
Marella rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, and Keefe and Biana too, you know." She said, looking annoyed.
Fitz blushed.
"Yeah, I was going to say that..." he said, looking down.
Everyone seemed to be holding in a laugh.
"So we have to go see if they're alright!" I almost yelled, changing the subject back to the beginning topic.
"Yeah, who's going?!" Dex asked, speaking for the first time.
"Me!" I volunteered.
I could feel everyone's gaze on me.
"Are you sure this doesn't have to do with Biana?" Fitz asked, raising an eyebrow suspiciously.
My eyes widened.
"Wha-what? M-me? No!" I yelped.
Smooth Tam, Real smooth.
"Guys! This is the first time I see Tam blushing and sweating at the same time! Let me ink this into my memory!" Linh said excitedly next to me. She squinted her eyes at me as if she were trying to remember this moment.
I rolled my eyes at her.
"Anyway, who else?" I asked, trying to regain my posture.
"Well, this is my little sister we're talking about. So I'll go." Fitz said, raising his hand.
"And your ex-girlfriend too..." Stina whispered.
Everyone -except Fitz of course, who was rolling his eyes- laughed.
Dex cleared his throat seriously.
"I'll go too, Sophie's my best friend, Keefe's my joke-master partner, and Biana's been really nice to me since the beginning." he said.
I nodded.
"Three is good." I said.
"Hey! But I want to come!" Linh said, slapping my arm.
I stuck my tongue at her. I knew it was childish, but that was Linh's effect on people.
"Well you should have volunteered before!" I told her.
Linh shrugged.
"At least I'll be able to play with my friends here. Right Marella?" she asked the Pyrokinetic.
Marella seemed to shrink a little bit, and her cheeks reddened, but she replied with her usual confidence.
"Hell yeah!" she said, pumping her fist in the air.
Everyone else cheered, but I could still tell they were sad they couldn't save Sophie, Biana and Keefe.
"Um, does anyone know where it is though? And especially how to get there?" Dex asked, his voice a little too technical for my liking.
I thought for a second.
"I think they said it was in ' Sam DJ'o'!" I exclaimed with my index turned to the ceiling.
"San Diego, you dummy, " she pinched me and laughed when I yelped away from her reach, which probably made me exit the screen.
Fitz snickered at Linh and I while I rubbed my arm and sat down next to Linh so that everyone would be able to see me.
"San Diego is kind of big, and does anyone know how to get there by Leaping Crystal?" he asked.
No one answered.
"Well thanks for breaking the whole mood of the group Chandelier Head, no need to be so pessimist." Marella said in disgust.
Fitz gasped dramatically.
"How do you know about that?" he yelped.
"Know what?" Everyone asked simultaneously.
Marella ignored all of us.
"Biana told me. It's ridiculous!" she laughed, collapsing from giggles.
Linh shifted uncomfortably.
I could tell she liked Marella. And not in just a friends way. I smiled up at her.
I looked back at the little cube that was my Imparter.
"Okay, everyone, let's meet up at Havenfield to tell Grady and Edaline. Fitz, do you think you can hail the Collective? Just so that they can give us the Leaping Crystal to get us to the place." I told them.
Fitz nodded.
"On it, see you guys." he said before his window clicked away.
I said my goodbyes, and got ready to get to Havenfield, choosing black clothes and on styling my hair with only a few hair products.
As much as I hated to admit it, I used about as many supplies as Keefe, whom I now called Mr. Annoying-Pants.
"Tam, we don't have time for your stupid hair, you look good anyway." Linh said, pushing me toward the door of Tiergan's home.
"Okay, okay, now need to be such a big sister." I sighed, brushing my bangs back over my eyes, trying to hide myself.
I smiled, already thinking about joining Biana.
Fitz's POV:
I landed in Havenfield's pastures, with my parents by my side and Leaping Crystal in hand."Finally, we're all here." Tam said, with boredom.
I squared my shoulders.
"Yeah, though you're going to have to change that attitude with me if you want to spend the rest of the time with Dex and I while surviving." I told him, lifting my chin up at him in confidence.
"Got a problem with me Ritz?" he asked me, aggressivity in his voice.
I hadn't meant to be mean, but I was really worried for Sophie, and it made me a little more irritable than usual. Though I didn't admit it to the Chandelier, or anyone in that matter, I still had feelings for her.
"Woah guys, chill. We're here to discuss, not throw a blood party." Marella said, lifting her hands up at us.
I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms, seeing Tam do the same.
"Fine." we both mumbled simultaneously.
Since Tam had cooled down slightly with Keefe, befriending him quite a little bit, he wasn't as nice with me as before.
"So, did you guys pack?" Linh asked.
"Yeah, thanks for helping me Linh. I didn't know how to sort through all those weird human clothes." Tam said.
I simply nodded.
"Yeah, got a lot of Prank Elixirs, so watch out you two!" Dex exclaimed, laughing evilly while pointing at Tam and I.
"Oh no, he's really been spending way too much time with Keefe." I said, putting my hand on my forehead and closing my eyes.
Tam sighed.
"If you ever prank me, you're dead. And FYI, I control Shadowflux, so I would advise you to keep those Elixirs away from me." he said, glaring at Dex from under his sliver bangs.
The Technopath seemed to shrink down for a second, but regained his posture a few moments later.
"Anyway, shouldn't the Collective be arriving or something?" he asked, obviously changing the subject to avoid being strangled by Tam.
"We're here, you kids are just too blind to see us." I heard a familiar voice call from behind me.
I turned around to see a wrinkly Mr. Forkle, who was positioned in front of Granite, Squall, Blur and Wrath.
They had all seemed to get a lot older than before.
"Hey, I'm guessing you know why we called you." Marella said, advancing toward the whole Collective.
"Completely, I even took the Leaping Crystal with me." Mr. Forkle said while searching his pockets. "Ah, there it is!"
He pulled a purple crystal from his tunic, presenting it to us.
"Uhm, why is that Leaping Crystal purple like Sophie's? I've never seen anything like this." I said, taking it into my hands.
Mr. Forkle snatched it away from my grip.
"No, you shouldn't do that Mr. Vacker. It's impolite." he told me, walking away.
I glared at the others angrily as everyone snickered at me.
"So, as Fitz told me, Dex, Tam and him are going to go see Sophie and the others to check on them. Just to be clear." he said, gesturing a lot with his hands.
Everyone nodded in a solent agreement.
Mr. Forkle gave Dex the odd violet Leaping Crystal.
"There's only one destination on this, so you don't need to worry about going to the wrong place." he instructed him. "Good luck in the lost Cities, I hope that Fitz will be able to guide you well."
Everyone said their goodbyes, and we were soon leaping with the Crystal in Dex's hands.
Dex's POV:
I yelped as I felt a heavy weight land on my stomach.I looked at who it was. Of course it had to be Fitz.
"Get your butt off me Chandelier Head." I groaned, pushing him off, and standing up.
Fitz blushed a crimson red.
"How does everyone know that now?" he mumbled to himself.
I dusted my pants and shoulders.
"Well that Leaping Crystal was a little rough." Tam said, combing his hair with his fingers and dusting his pants at the same time.
I looked around me to see a forest.
"Do Sophie and the others attend a school in the forest? That's cool! Humans are weird." I said, walking over to one of the trees to press my hand against it.
Fitz laughed.
"Nope, schools in the Human world aren't in the forest. Are you sure we're at the right place?" he asked me, still lying on the ground.
I put my hands in the air, telling him I was innocent.
"Don't ask me, Forkle gave it to me." I told him.
"Guys, what's that?" Tam asked, pointing to something behind me.
I looked around to see the thing Tam was showing with his finger. It was a tall entrance that looked something like an arch with the words 'CAMP HALF-BLOOD' on it.
