One thing some readers have pointed out, is that my take on the Third True Magic is not exactly correct. I know it's not correct.
My little knowledge of what it is comes from other fanfics like "Messiah of the Holy Grail" by AgentZwolf and "King of Souls" by Craxnor King. (Both are great stories. I recommend giving them a read. Unfortunately, they are unfinished, and it looks like they will remain so.)
I wanted to be more informed when I wrote about it in this story because I wanted to give Yuki the title in an easy way. So I spent three days researching the specifics of what the Third Magic is exactly, and to be truthful, a lot of the specifics felt complicated and sailed over my head.
So, on day four, I just decided that it's my fanfic, I can do what I want, and that the Third Magic definition from the previously mentioned fanfics was the version I would go with. Even if it seems to weaken it to a degree. It was a lot easier to combine the worlds that way.

[The Gamer Patch 1.01 has successfully been installed.]
[Would you like to see the patch notes?]
[Y/N]
Patch Notes 1.01
Thank you, Gamer, for your participation in playing the Game. As always, after one week we do a mandatory patch for balancing reasons, as everyone's Game is slightly different from others. Future updates will take place on an as-needed basis from now on. So, let's go over the patch notes.
In the beginning, we started your HP and MP regeneration at 1% per minute. This means that it will take, at most, 100 minutes for you to recover full HP and MP. We feel this is too fast for recovery and makes the Game too easy, so we have decided to nerf this recovery rate.
- Base HP and MP regeneration have been reduced from 1% per minute to 0.1% per minute.
During this week, you have been making great strides towards strengthening yourself. However, we feel you are moving forward too fast, even with the [Genius] Perk. So this will be nerfed.
- Skill experience gain has been reduced.
We have noticed a bug in some of your skills, mainly the ones related to combat. For some reason, they were using a different world's rules, thus making them a bit too powerful for this world. So, we will be fixing this bug.
- The skills [Sword Mastery] and [Handgun Mastery] have been fixed.
- The same bug to similar skills has also been fixed.
The rest are simply just some changes that don't need as much explanation, so they will just be listed.
- You can now roll 1 Gacha for free every week. This resets every Sunday at 00:00.
- The skill [Eye of the Mind (False)] has been renamed to [Mind's Eye (False)].
- If you sleep for at least 4 hours, you will gain the Perk, [Rested] for 8 hours.
- If you sleep for at least 7 hours, you will gain the Perk, [Well Rested] for 8 hours.
- If you sleep in a bed with a person you have a romantic relationship with, you will gain the Perk, [Lover's Embrace] for 8 hours.

[Castle of Lust]
Kamoshida has been taking advantage of the students for too long. It's time for your team's first heist. Steal his treasure and induce a change of heart before you are expelled.

Objective:
- Reach the treasure room. [x]
- Send the calling card. [x]
- Steal the treasure. [x]
- Wait for the change of heart. [ ]
Rewards: ?
"Haah, I'm exhausted," I groaned, crashing, facedown, into my bed.
Ryuji, Ann, Morgana, and I had just finished stealing the treasure in Kamoshida's Palace. We had completed the entire path to the treasure on the 18th, and Ryuji wrote the calling card yesterday. Today is the day we sent it to him by hanging multiple copies in the lobby of the school. All of us decided that a pervert like Kamoshida needed to be dealt with quickly before he harasses more students, so we worked our butts off to get this done as quickly as possible.
Ended up gaining a lot of levels and some new skills through this.

"Now we just wait for the change of heart," he said, lying down in a comfortable spot.
"Hn," I grunted, turning back into the pillow and falling asleep a few minutes later.

~ April 22 – Akihabara – After School ~
"So, what are we doing here?" Morgana, the (not) cat, asked, half coming out of my backpack and placing his paws on my shoulder.
"We're here to have some fun for ourselves," I replied, smiling. "Plus, I've always wanted to come to this place."
Now that I finally have some free time to myself, I'm here in Akihabara. In my past life, I always wanted to travel here. This place is pretty much the center of Japanese pop culture.
"First, we'll start with some arcades, then we'll look through some stores, and maybe grab a bite to eat." I relayed my ideas of what to do today.
"Sounds like a plan," Morgana said. "Maybe we can get some sushi to eat later?"
"Sure, why not?" I am in the mood for sushi. "Let's head to the arcade first."
"Alright! Sweet fishy goodness, we'll be coming for you soon."
I went walking for a couple of blocks 'til we came across what I was looking for. A TAITO Station, which is an arcade place. Stepping through the entrance, I got several notifications.
Multiple Quests Added
Huh, a lot of these have to do with different games. Well, this just gives me more incentive.
"Ready to have some fun, Morgana?" I was smiling in excitement for the games.

A small crowd was gathered around one of the rhythm games. A game called DanceRush Stardom. One of the players is dancing so well, and with the upbeat music, everyone is incredibly into it. Who is this player? Well, at this point, I think it's rather obvious.
"WOOO!" the gathered crowd cheered as the song came to an explosive end.
"Nice! New high score for me."
I got off the pad and picked up my backpack. Morgana popped out and had to comment.
"Wow! That dancing was amazing! How did you do all of that?"
"I'm just that good."
That's not entirely the truth. I let Ame-no-Uzume take over for a bit.
"Thanks for that. I had a lot of fun."
"No problem. I ended up learning a bit of dancing myself."

"You Win"
"ARGH, why can't I beat this person!?" Haha, seems my opponent hates it that they keep losing.
Right now, I'm playing some Tekken 7 against other players. It's pretty easy with how good I was in my past life.
"Oi! Why do you keep winning!?" ...What kind of question is that?
"Because I'm better than you," I replied, sounding as if it was obvious.
"Well, stop winning!" He yelled back from his side of the game cabinet.
"As if I'm going to do that," I muttered as we went for another match.
….
"You Win"
"Uggghhh, damn it… I'll never get good at this game," my opponent whined.
"Heh, look," I started. It was a bit funny that he's being so dramatic about this, "Just keep playing, you'll get better," I told him.
"I know. I try, but I just don't…" He sighed. "Well, anyway, those were some good matches. You're pretty good with Chloe."
"Heh, she's my favorite character to play." I got up and started walking to the other side to see him face-to-face.
"You're not bad, you just need some prac… tice…" I trailed off once I got a look at who I was playing against. He noticed I came around the arcade cabinet and stared back at me.
My opponent was, obviously, a male. He was of average height and had short, spiky brown hair, with two short locks of hair behind his head, and light brown eyes. He was wearing a school uniform, a white, long-sleeved dress shirt, and a black blazer with white trimming, both opened showing a red t-shirt underneath, matching black pants, and white and blue sneakers.
…
This person… is very familiar to me. My brother forced me to watch the anime, and while I wasn't really into it, I did end up reading the light novel. A quick use of my Mystic Eyes confirmed who it was in front of me.

Bio: Issei Hyoudou is a first-year student at Kuoh Academy. He is a huge pervert who has an obsession with women's breasts and having his own harem. Issei can be courageous, selfless, and determined to protect those he cares about.
Great. The Red Dragon Pervert of High School DxD. From what I know, this guy is a pervert who always peeps on girls and shamelessly stares at their breasts in public. He, along with his two friends, are so openly perverted that they got the nickname "The Perverted Trio".
Haah, I'm not sure what to think of him. He has great character but he's a HUGE pervert.
"Yeah, I know," Issei began, ignoring my inner monologue, "but none of my friends play these games."
I'm… pretty sure Issei only has two friends. Haah, damn it, why not give him a chance.
"Hey, how about I help you out with this?" I asked.
Issei had a confused look on his face, "Huh?"
"Hm, what I mean is we could meet here at the arcade and I could give you some pointers."
"Uh…" Issei seemed more confused and was scratching the back of his head, "Sure, why not I could stick around for a while."
So, for the next hour, I played against him while giving him some pointers. He's not bad at this, just needs some patience. During the whole thing, he was rather normal. No acts of perversion of any kind, so that's something. Eventually, we went back to actual matches, and I still kicked his butt.
However, we had to stop when Issei got a phone call.
"Ah, sorry about that. That was my mom. She wanted me to run some errands before I get home," Issei explained. "Sorry, looks like I got to go," He finished apologetically.
"Ah, that's too bad," I said. It's getting late for me, as well. So, I should head off as well. But before that… "Hey, want to exchange numbers?"
"Hah?" Issei looks dumbfounded. Like… he did not expect this at all.
"I'm new to Tokyo. I moved here just two weeks ago for school, so I don't know many people here, and... you seem to be a pretty good guy. I had fun hanging out with you. So… want to swap numbers and hang out again some other time?"
"U-Uh… yeah… sure," Issei stammered, looking away. What the heck is up with him?
So we exchanged numbers when I realized I never told him my name. "By the way, I realized that I never told you my name. I'm Yuki, Yuki Emiya."
"Oh yeah. Um, I'm Issei Hyoudou," he sheepishly scratched his head.
"Nice to officially meet you. I'll see you around sometime, Hyoudou." I walked on to go back home.
"I am thou... Thou art I...

Huh. I guess I'm getting different Social Links.
Still, Issei Hyoudou. That means DxD is in this world, and that means I'll eventually have to deal with all the BS that is the supernatural world. Haah, (not) really looking forward to it.

~ April 23 – Café Leblanc – Evening ~
I got back to the café in the evening after hanging out with Ryuji today. His Social Link has hit Rank 3.
"You're back," Sojiro commented from behind the counter. "Do you mind sticking around until I finish closing? I wanted to talk for a bit."
"Sure thing," I said, taking off my backpack and sitting in one of the booths. Morgana hopped out and headed upstairs. I played some games on my phone to pass the time.
Soon after, he finished and sat at one of the counter seats. "So, how's school going?" He asked.
"It's… going alright, all things considered," I responded.
He adopted a curious, thinking face, "All things considered…? Ah, right, the news of that girl," He's referencing Shiho. I mentioned it to him the day it happened because Sojiro seemed to know I wasn't feeling alright when I got back. He can be observant when he wants to be.
Which makes me wonder… How much of my past does he know about? Sojiro was pretty big on following society's rules. I don't want it to be a problem "Hey, how much of my past do you know?" I decided to be blunt and just ask.
"Hm?" Sojiro thinks for a bit, then answers. "Not much. Just that you came from an orphanage in Okinawa."
He stares at me for a bit, trying to figure out why I asked. "If you think that I wouldn't like taking care of someone raised by a former yakuza, then you'd be wrong."
"…You said you didn't know much about my past," I stated.
"Someone I know was a huge fan of that Sawamura girl back when she was an idol," Sojiro said. "When she heard I was taking in a kid, she started researching you and somehow found out you went to the same orphanage as that idol. She mentioned it to me, and I put two and two together."
Hmm, it was probably Futaba who looked me up.
"I don't care who raised you. As long as you keep your nose clean, you have nothing to worry about," Sojiro stated. Heh, Too late for that.
Then Sojiro's phone started ringing, and he answered it. It seems it's Futaba who called.
"Yeah, I'm on my way. Sorry about that," he finished the phone call.
"You always seem busy," I had to comment, tilting my head to the side.
"Yeah… You know, if you could lend a hand, it would be a really big help," he said. "Of course, I won't ask you to work for free. If you agree to help then… I'll teach you how to make the perfect cup of coffee. Not a bad trade, eh?"
"Hm, sure, sounds interesting." I agreed. I always had ordinary coffee. Learning to make great-tasting coffee on my own sounds fun.
"All right," he said, sounding pleased, "looks like we got ourselves a deal."
He quickly got ready to leave and was almost out the door, "I'll see you tomorrow."
"See you," I said as he left.
"I am thou... Thou art I...

~ April 25 – Akihabara – After School ~
I am currently back inside the arcade to see if more quests would pop up, but I had no such luck. However, I did end up spotting someone I know.
"Yo! Hyoudou!" I called out to the familiar-looking person.
Issei actually jumped in the air a bit in response (that was funny) and turned in my direction. Upon seeing me, he looked surprised and then nervous before he smiled a bit, still with some nervousness, and waved. "Hey, good to see you again, Emiya," he greeted.
"Didn't think I'd see you again so soon. So, whatcha up to?" I asked.
"Oh, uh, I was just here to play some games for a bit," he said, looking off to the side.
"Huh, well, want to hang out?" I asked directly.
"U-Uh, sure, I guess…" Issei stammered out.
…Why the hell is he so nervous?
"Great!" I said, trying to ignore his predicament, "What do you wanna do?"
"U-Uhhh…" Issei starts shifting his focus to things around us. He's probably thinking too hard on this.
I guess I have to choose. Hmm… I know a good place and… knowing his mind, he's going to jump to the wrong conclusions. Hehe, I can already imagine the look on his face when he realizes my prank. God, I love pranks so much.
"Hah, now I see how I became one of your Personas," spoke up a certain Norse trickster god.I was a bit surprised when he appeared, considering he's someone else's Persona. But I guess that's the power of the Wild Card.

~ Shinjuku – Kamurocho ~
"You okay, Hyoudou?" I asked, trying to keep the smirk off my face.
"I'm fine," he managed to squeak out.
I took him to Kamurocho, saying I knew the perfect place to go to have fun. Looking back at Issei… "Ahahaha, aw jeez, hehe, ha…" I'm laughing my butt off in my head at his reactions, but on the outside, I'm perfectly normal.
On the way where I really wanted to go, I purposefully took a route through the hotel district where a lot of those hotels are. Of course, Issei, being Issei, immediately came to the wrong conclusion based on the fact his face looked like it was on fire. Any further, and I'm sure steam will come blasting out of his head. Too bad the joke is ending soon.
"We're here!" I cheerfully exclaimed.
"…Batting cages?" Looking up, you can see the name of the place, Yoshida Batting Center.
"Yep, I told you we'd have some fun, and going here has always been one of my favorite ways to pass the time," I smile at him. "You took forever to choose, so I decided to choose this."
Issei didn't say anything. He just stared at the building with his mouth open. I wonder what's going on in his head. Maybe he's embarrassed with where his thoughts went.
"C'mon Hyoudou, you gonna stand there all day, or are we going in?" I asked, showing the smirk on my face. "I doubt you can beat my score once we head in."
Issei stood there for another minute before he let out a long sigh and faced me with a small smile, "Sure, let's do this," Oh? Sounds like he has some determination.
"Well then," I'm sure I had a wide grin on my face, "Let's go!" I grabbed his hand (which caused him to become atomic red all over again) and dragged him inside.
"All right, Hyoudou, you want to bat first?"
"Uh…" he started unsurely but seemed to psych himself up. "Yeah, I'll go, and I'm going to beat this thing," He grabbed a bat and stepped into the cage, starting up the Beginner Home Run Course.
I'll be honest, I don't have high expectations for him. He was shown as physically weak in the anime, and his stats also reflect that. Who knows, maybe he'll surprise me.
…
"Uggghhh," Issei was moping on one of the seats close by. The reason was he doing this?
"Really, Hyoudou? Not a single hit from all that swinging?" he was swinging around his bat rather animatedly, with exaggerated movements, loud yells while swinging, and a serious look on his face.
"Heh, you looked absolutely ridiculous," I laughed at him a bit.
"Hmph," he turned away with a blush on his embarrassed face. I guess I should stop rubbing it in.
"I guess I'll have to show you how it's done," I stepped in and picked the same thing as him.
…
*CRACK*… *CRACK*… *CRACK*
The sound of a bat smashing the baseball can be heard over and over again. With my stats, this was extremely easy.

I came out of the cage with a smug look, and my arms crossed, "So, learn anything from that, Hyoudou?"
He just stared for a minute before he finally found his voice.
"…Yeah, you're really good at baseball," he said.
"Eh, one of the people I know plays. I always practiced with him because I found the game fun," I stated. The person I played with was one of the other kids at the orphanage.
"Huh," he simply said.
Neither of us said anything and fell into silence. We just started watching the other people in the batting cages. I actually feel a bit closer to Issei.
[Star Confidant (Issei Hyoudou) has reached Rank 2]
*RING*
"Oh, that's me," said Hyoudou, then moved to accept the call. "Hello?"
He was on the phone for a bit, then hung up. "That was my parents. I gotta get home. I'll see you later, Emiya," He got up and started on out.
"See ya next time, Hyoudou," I said goodbye as well, watching him leave.

~ April 28 – Akihabara – After School ~
"Hyoudou!" I called out to Issei, who just left out of the arcade we usually go to.
"Emiya?" said Issei, who looked surprised. "How do we keep running into each other here?"
I shrugged, "Beats me," Actually, the truth is that the map in the menu shows which Social Links are available. Just like in the game.
"Huh… Since you're here, want to hang out?" he asked
"Well, well, look at you taking initiative," I crossed my arms and gave him a smirk. "The last few times, I was the one who asked you."
"Yeah, well, I just thought…" he said, turning away, scratching his head, and mumbling out something I didn't quite catch, all with a small red tinge on his face. "Ahem, ah, you want to come over to my house?"
…I can feel my eye twitch and my smirk become strained, "…We don't have that kind of relationship, Hyoudou," I said in a dry tone.
"Ah, no! It's not like that!" he quickly said. "I told my parents about you, and they wanted me to bring you over so they can meet you."
"…What, exactly, did you tell them?" I asked.
"Just that I made a new friend at the arcade and that you were a girl," he said as he scratched his head. "They didn't believe me and want to see if you're real.' he finished sheepishly.
Hmm, the disbelief probably comes from the idea that a pervert like Issei couldn't possibly get a friend who's a girl. However, Issei hasn't been acting perverted towards me since I've known him. Is the Issei in front of me different from the one in canon? I've been quiet for a while, and Issei looks to be getting nervous.
"Sure, I'll go," I finally said.
Issei sighed in relief, "Great. Let's go now. I'll pay for your train ticket."
There's something I've been wondering, "Issei, where do you live?"
"Oh, I live in Kuoh Town," he replied.
"Where's that?" a question not answered in the light novel.
"It's in the Nerima Ward."
"Oh... Wait, that's about an hour away by train. That's a 2-hour round trip," I pointed out. If I had a license, I could use my motorcycle and it would take half the time. Something to work on another day.
"Oh yeah! That is a lot of time," he realized. "Sorry, I guess I should've told you ahead of time, but I-"
"Hold on, Hyoudou. It's no problem, I can go," I interrupted.
"You sure?" he asked, and I simply nodded. "Okay, let's go."
….
"Why do you frequently come to an arcade that's an hour away from where you live?" I questioned him.
"…Reasons," is all he said.

(A/N: This is from a song titled "Resistance Line" from the game, Wild Arms 2.)
[Singing has reached Level 53.]
Issei and I were walking towards his house in Kuoh. We were talking on the train, and then we ran out of topics, so I decided to level my singing skill, which, by the way, is my second highest-leveled skill after Cooking. For some reason, it's extremely easy for me to level this one, and it's only been 19 days since I got the Gamer System.
"Wow, you're really good at singing," Issei commented with some awe in his voice.
"I'm really good at a lot of things," I said smugly.
"I'm starting to see that," he replied.
We continued walking until we finally reached his house. Issei stopped and turned to me before he opened the door.
"Uh, just so you know," Issei spoke up, "my parents can be a bit… weird."
Heh, that's an understatement. "I'm sure it'll be fine," I said.
Issei opened the door and stepped in, and I followed behind him. "I'm home," Issei called into the house.
"Welcome home, Issei," a female voice called back from inside.
"Mom, make sure to set an extra plate at the table. I brought a friend over," We entered the kitchen where Issei's mom was preparing food.
"Oh? Who did you bring over…" she trailed off as she turned around. Once she saw me, her eyes widened, and she just stood there like she couldn't believe what she was seeing.
"Hi, Mrs. Hyoudou," I smiled and waved.
"…." Mrs. Hyoudou just stood there, frozen. I think we broke her.
"Heh," I gave Issei an amused smile and a raised eyebrow. He just pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. He walks around her and goes to take care of the food on the stove.
"You can cook?" I had to ask. It was surprising.
"Eh, I had a lot of time on my hands growing up," Issei said as he took out some spices. "I learned from my mom to pass the time."
…He seemed sad when he said that. I didn't comment on that.
"You want some help?" I asked.
"No, I got this. Besides, you're the guest here." I shrugged, sat at the table, and watched him cook for a few minutes. He really does look like he knows what he's doing.
"How long is your mom gonna stay like that?" I took a glance at Mrs. Hyoudou, who was still frozen.
"She should snap out of it soon-"
"GOROU! COME DOWN HERE! ISSEI BROUGHT HOME A GIRL!" she suddenly screamed out.
"Mom! You're too loud," Issei reprimanded as he noticed I winced and covered my ears. That was way too loud for me.
There was a sound of something crashing upstairs, then the sound of someone racing down the stairs. "Where!? Where!? Where is she!?" he frantically asked as he ran into the dining room.
The heck kind of reaction is that? Putting a frown on my face, I turned towards Issei, who seemed to pick up on my unasked question.
"Like I said, my parents are weird," was all he said with a sigh as if that explained everything.
"I can see that," I commented relaxing my frown into a neutral expression.
"Hello there," Miki Hyoudou spoke up. "Sorry about all that. It's just rare Issei brings home his friends."
I turned to Issei's dad, who stared at me with wide eyes, "Are you real? Do you mind if I touch you?" The sound of Issei face-palming echoed from the kitchen. Mrs. Hyoudou's smile became strained.
…..Wow. I'm really hoping he didn't mean it that way.
Mrs. Hyoudou noticed my narrowed eyes and slight frown and elbowed her husband, "Dear, you're being rude."
That snapped him out of his spell, "Oh, sorry about that," he sheepishly scratches the back of his head. Huh, so that's where Issei gets it from. The two took a seat across from me.
"I'm sure you already know, but I want to properly introduce ourselves. We are Issei's parents," Mrs. Hyoudou said.
"Yuki Emiya. I'm Issei's friend," I introduced myself.
Mr. Hyoudou, who was shaking in his seat, couldn't contain himself any longer, "I must know! How did my perverted son get a friend such as you!?" he jumped up from his seat.
"Uh…" I did not know what to say about his behavior.
Mrs. Hyoudou grabbed him by the ear and twisted it, "Dear, control yourself," she dragged him back down into his seat.
"I apologize for that, but my husband does have a point. My son is a huge pervert with many different types of porn and other things in his room. You should see it, it's filled to the brim. He also has an obsession with big breasts and likes to openly stare at them. He peeps on girls in his school all the time with his other friends, in the girl's locker room. Frankly, I'm surprised that such a pervert like Issei can make friends with a girl. How did that happen?" she finally asked.
"Um…" Wow, Mrs. Hyoudou doesn't hold back, and Issei doesn't seem like that description if his loud groaning is any indicator.
"Unless…" Mr. Hyoudou seemed to have hit an epiphany as he stood up, pointed at me, and shouted, "Unless you're a huge pervert as well!"
…
"DAD!" Issei shouted, "Mom, Dad, stop making her uncomfortable!"
The others noticed her bangs shadowed my eyes, and my shoulders were shaking.
"Um, Emiya, I'm really sorry-"
"Heh." A giggle cut off Issei
"Huh? Uh, Emiya?"
I just burst out laughing, arms around my stomach and leaning over the table. Eventually, it slowly came to small giggles.
"Emiya?" Issei asked again.
"Hyoudou," I called out to him. "Your dad is pretty funny. That was one of the funnier jokes I've heard."
"Eh? Uh, Emiya-san, I wasn't-" Mr. Hyoudou started.
"I said it was a pretty funny joke. Right?" I interrupted Mr. Hyoudou with a smile that didn't quite reach my eyes.

- Affected individuals will have their stats decreased by 5%.
- An individual with strong mental defenses can ignore this skill.
.
"U-Uh, r-right," he stuttered out.
"A-Anyway, food's almost ready," Issei said, still shaking off the effects of the killing intent. "Are you staying over to eat, Emiya?"
"Yes, that's a wonderful idea," Mrs. Hyoudou was for it. "We can learn more about our future daughter-in-law."
"MOM!" Issei shouted. "We're just friends! We're not dating!"
"Not yet, you're not." She teased him.
"Don't count your chickens before they hatch," I mumbled. "Haah, I'll stay. I just gotta contact my caretaker that I'm coming home later than normal," I guess I'm spending dinner with Hyoudou and his parents.
[Star Confidant (Issei Hyoudou) has reached Rank 3.]
Dinner was a nice affair, mostly. Issei's parents were still wondering how we became friends and were still asking if I knew how much of a pervert he was. Issei kept steering the conversation away from this and brushing it off, saying his parents can be weird as always.
It did confirm to me that Issei is going out of his way to hide his pervertedness from me. Kind of strange of him, but I won't question it too much. I said it before, but I'll say it again. Issei is acting differently from his canon counterpart, but I'm not complaining. I like this version of Issei over the canon. It's easier to be friends with him.

~ April 30 – Shibuya 777 Store – Afternoon ~
"Ah, hello. Are you the new employee?" the manager of the store asked.
"Yep, that's me," I respond.
I decided to get a part-time job because I've been pretty bored lately doing the same thing over and over again.
Getting this job was easy. All I had was a phone interview, and I was hired. I also get to choose which days I want to work. This is probably one of the most laid-back schedules I've ever had.
"Great, we have a uniform for you in the break room. Get ready, and I'll show you around."
"All right." so I got ready.
It was a pretty easy shift, having worked in customer service in my previous life. I made ¥3500 that shift and got paid the same day. That's about $7.60 an hour, not that much money. But easy work, and I get to choose my schedule. Not to mention the money I got from the quest, doubling my earned money? Fine by me.

"When should we go? Should we do it soon, like tomorrow?" Ryuji asked excitedly.
"Let's do it on the 5th," I spoke up. "I'll be leaving Tokyo tomorrow and won't be back until the day after, late at night."
"Where are you going?" Ann asked.
"Fuyuki City," I answered. "Hah, it took me a while to convince Boss to let me go."
"Why are you heading there?" Ryuji asked.
"Uh, family reasons," I didn't really want to explain it right now.
"So, who's going to sell this?" Ann pointed out the medal.
"Leave that me," I said. "If I get up early enough, I should be able to sell it before I leave."
"Really? You don't need my help?" Morgana asked.
"I'll be fine." The other three looked at each other for a bit.
"Okay, we'll leave this to you then," Ann said.

Issei Interlude – My Newest "Normal" Friend.
~ May 3 – Issei's Room – Lunchtime ~
Issei was relaxing on his bed at the moment. He has plans with his friends, Matsuda and Motoham later, but right now he is waiting for his mom to finish lunch. He was browsing through his phone until he got a text message.
.
Yuki: Just got to Fuyuki.
Issei: I hope you have fun. I hear they have good beef there.
Yuki: That's because this place is pretty close to Kobe. I'll bring back a souvenir for you.
.
That was the end of their short conversation. Issei just went back to lying on his bed, thinking about his new friend, Yuki Emiya.
Issei knew. He knew Emiya had a huge dislike of perverts. It was the day after they met he found out. He was at the arcade, once again trying to practice the tips he was told in Tekken. While he was there, he saw some students, who had the same school uniform as she did. So, he decided to start up a conversation to see if he could learn anything about her.
What he learned was kind of hard to believe. Apparently, Emiya was raised by none other than Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima. She's a Yakuza Princess, and everyone thinks that if people try to mess with her, she'll send Yakuza after them. Of course, these are only rumors, so Issei took them with a grain of salt.
Then their gym teacher, Kamoshida, came up. It makes sense that Emiya would hate perverts after having to deal with someone like this guy.
Issei hates people like him because, while he may be a pervert himself, he would never force people to do anything they didn't want. But it seems he doesn't need to worry about this guy. He had come under a rash of pranks that lasted for about a week, and everyone thinks Emiya did it. That ended when the teacher just upped and took a vacation and finally came back yesterday, confessing that he is indeed a horrible abuser. The most prominent rumor is that these "Phantom Thieves" stole his heart. Another is that Emiya called in the yakuza to "talk" to him.
Issei doesn't know or care which it is, but one thing for certain is that Emiya has a severe dislike of perverts. Because of this, Issei hid his perverted tendencies. Normally, he wouldn't care what other people think. Being a pervert is who he is. If people didn't want to befriend him because of that, then that's their loss. He would go on with only true friends who didn't mind his personality. At least, that's what he thought.
The truth is, Issei is very lonely. Throughout his entire life, he has only had three friends (not including Emiya). There was Irina when he was a kid, but that changed when Irina and his family moved away to England. Then there are Matsuda and Motohama, perverts like himself, but they can't hang with him every day. Also, even Issei wanted a break from being a pervert. So, most days, Issei is just by himself, which gets lonely. It's why he picked up cooking from his mom, to pass the time and to help her out. It's why he goes to an arcade 50 minutes away from his home, so people there don't know him by his reputation.
Then he met Emiya at the arcade after she kicked his butt in Tekken.
Someone who wanted to hang out with him.
Someone who was fun to be around.
Someone who didn't know his other side.
Someone who didn't know he was a pervert.
Someone who didn't look at him like he was trash.
He finally made a new friend, it didn't matter that she was a girl, he had a new friend. He would not perv on her and scare her away. He was lonely, damn it, and just wanted someone to be his friend.
He couldn't make one in Kuoh because of his reputation. Even if he changed his ways, his reputation made sure people didn't trust him. It is, kind of, his own fault for listening to that old man in the park and acting more like his other two friends because of their shared interests.
Still, he has to figure out what to do about this side of him. His parents showed him that the people he knows will ask questions and Emiya is not stupid. She will figure it out eventually. Issei knows this, he's just… afraid of what she'll think of him.
"Issei, lunch is ready!" his mother called to him from downstairs.
Issei got up from his bed and started his way downstairs. He needs to figure out what to do sooner rather than later because the more he puts this off, the more it's going to hurt when she finds out.

Author's Note:
So, that's this chapter, mainly skipping through April and showing off some Social Links. I didn't write about the Palace or most of the canon Social Links since they're still pretty much the same as the game, and it seemed pointless. So if you want to know what happens in those, just look it up.
9/2/23 Edit: I revise my opinion and believe that I should've written out the Kamoshida Arc.
Constructive criticism is appreciated.

"So?"
"So, what?"
"What exactly are we doing here?"
...
"Haah, I grew up an orphan all my life. This city may be the key to finding my biological parents."
"You really think you can find information on them here?"
"I don't know, but this is the only lead I have."
...
"Hm, this may sound insensitive, but does it really matter who your parents are? It doesn't change who you are."
"In my case, it does."
(x)
"Damn it!"
I had to duck into an alley to avoid another volley of knives from Assassin.
"You can't keep this up forever," Merlin spoke from inside my head.
"I know that!"
I need to hide. I hopped over the wall I was hiding against into someone's backyard. I guess that shed over there will do.

"I ask of you. Are you my master?"
