~ May 4 - Riverside Park - Morning ~

"I'm sorry, miss!" she apologized in English.

I took a good look at the little girl who bumped into me. I first noticed that she was dressed in clothes too big for her. She had scarlet red hair that reached her shoulders and bright green eyes. But what really stood out the most was the lightning bolt-shaped scar on her forehead, just off-center.

My Mystic Eyes confirmed her identity.

Name: Rose Potter

Age: 10

Title: The Girl Who Lived

~X~

So, a genderbent Harry Potter, I didn't see that coming. I didn't think the Potterverse would be a part of this. Multiverse Shuffle is going all out. I hope it didn't shuffle too much in. It would be hard to keep track of if there were too many.

"Don't worry about it, kid. Are you alright?" I asked in English. I crouched down and reached my hand out for her to grab, but she flinched away. I frowned at that. "I'm not going to hurt you," I tried to reassure her with a calming voice.

"S-sorry," she tentatively reached out and grabbed my hand.

"You don't have to say you're sorry. You didn't do anything wrong," I said as I pulled her up. I looked her over for any scrapes, but she looked fine.

"Sorr- I mean…" she went silent and seemed to shrink in on herself before finding the courage to speak. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm fine. Why do you look so worried?" I ask curiously.

"Well… you've got blood on you," she pointed to my clothes, and I looked down.

Saying I had blood on my clothes was a vast understatement. I realized I was still in my battle-damaged clothes. Thanks to Archer, I was stabbed in the heart and bled all over the front. Along with a missing right sleeve, and the bandages covering my right arm and hand, I just now realized I hadn't taken a shower yet.

…I guess I do look pretty bad. That explains all the weird looks I was getting from other people. Why did no one say anything?

"I'm fine, kid. This looks a lot worse than it actually is," I said.

"If you're sure…." she trailed.

"I'm Yuki Emiya. What's your name?" I started asking.

"...Rose Potter," she answered after a second of hesitation.

"Where's your family?" I asked next.

She flinched and kept silent. Okay, tough subject for her. It makes sense, given what I know.

"Where are you from?" I asked a different question.

"Surrey."

"England? You're a long way from home," I commented.

She said nothing in return.

I sighed. It's clear she's not eager to return to England, and she's not explaining how she came to Japan. Okay, first things first, get Rose cleaned up and in some proper clothes. Then we can talk about what to do next.

"Saber, can you take her back to the mansion?" I asked my Servant in English for Rose's sake.

"I can," she confirmed.

I turned back to Rose and told her that Saber would be taking care of her for the time being. I asked if she was okay with going with her. She looked toward Saber, who gave her a kind smile. Rose shyly looked away and nodded. With that, I walked off toward the city.

"What will you be doing, Yuki?" Saber asked.

"I got some people I need to find."

~ Tohsaka Mansion - Noon ~

"Welcome back, Yuki," Saber greeted me when I entered the mansion.

I nodded to her. "Where's Tohsaka?" I asked.

"She is in the living room along with the little girl," Saber followed behind me as I started making my way upstairs to get cleaned up. "Did you find the people you were looking for?" she asked.

"Yup," I didn't say anymore.

The people I was looking for were the Dursleys. I used The Mist and cornered them in an empty side street. They became hostile when I mentioned Rose, but that soon died when I Traced some swords and surrounded them. Vernon still threatened me and called me a freak, but shut up when a sword came a little too close to his head. They finally started answering my question.

Apparently, Vernon was here on business and decided to turn it into a family vacation. They were forced to take Rose when they couldn't find a sitter. Today was the day they would return to England. After they checked out of the hotel, Rose ran away when they started abusing her again. Having heard enough, I robbed them of everything, including their money and passports. All that they had left was the clothes on their back.

Now they were stuck, with no money or belongings, in a foreign country that barely spoke English, and the Dursleys didn't speak Japanese. The British Embassy was all the way in Tokyo, about 1000 kilometers away. It would take them at least a month to get there unless they get very lucky and someone helps them out.

Did I take things too far?

Probably.

Do I care?

No.

After taking a shower, I redid the bandages on my chest and arm and Traced my usual outfit. That being my jeans with a black tank top, black biker boots, and Mordred's red leather jacket. Although, I kept the jacket off for now.

Saber and I got to the living room, where I saw Rose and Rin. Rose was wearing jeans and a black and white striped t-shirt that properly fit her and was snacking on some treats. Rin was reading a book.

They noticed us when we opened the door. Rose gave a small wave, and Rin had a light glare trained at me. I motioned for Saber to wait outside, and she left, closing the door behind her.

"Emiya-san you're back." Rin remarked in a tone that let me know she was upset with me.

"What did I do?" I blinked, a bit taken aback that she was upset.

"How?" was all she asked. I raised an eyebrow in question, and she continued. "How on Earth do you just happen to run into the Girl Who Lived of all people!? What is she even doing in Japan!?"

"Hey, don't look at me. Ask her," I pointed to the girl in question, who looked up when she realized we were talking about her but went back to snacking and picked up a book when she realized she couldn't understand what we were saying.

"I would if she could speak Japanese!" Rin yelled.

I blinked at that. "You can't speak English?" I asked incredulously.

"No, I can't. What's wrong with that!" Rin was blushing in embarrassment.

"I- Well, it's just… You seem to be heavily involved in the magical community. So I thought that it would be natural for you to learn to speak the most spoken language in the world," I explained.

Rin huffed and crossed her arms. "Well, I never learned. I always had a translator or a pen that translates what I say when working in an official capacity."

"Huh, well, if it works, I guess it's fine," I scratch my head, unsure what to think about this.

Rin huffed once more. "Anyway, where did you meet Potter?" she asked, getting back on topic.

"She ran into me at the park," I said.

"And why did you have Saber bring her back here?" she asked.

"I used my Mystic Eyes on her," I sighed and shook my head as I remembered some pieces of Rose's history. "I saw the scars and bruises. On top of the other things I noticed, it's obvious that she's been abused. I had to get her away from that."

Rin sighed. "I saw those too when I gave her new clothes. I wonder who she was staying with and if Dumbledore knew the abuse was happening."

"Dumbledore?" I asked. I already know who that is, but at this point, I'm not supposed to.

"Current Headmaster of Hogwarts, Chief Warlock of the British Wizengamot, Supreme Mugwump of the ICW, the Leader of Light, and a bunch of other titles that don't matter," Rin waved her hand dismissively.

"...I didn't understand a single thing you just said. You still have to tell me about the magical world," I mean, I know those were some of Dumbledore's titles, but what the hell is a Mugwump?

"I'll get around to it soon," Rin said.

"I noticed you don't seem to care for Dumbles much," I pointed out.

"Dumbles?" Rin snorted in amusement.

"It felt fitting for some reason," I shrugged.

"It's a good one," she agreed, then shook her head and got on track. "Anyway, you're right. I don't care much for him. He's an old man past his prime who needs to learn to let go of his power and let someone else take charge. Ever since he was credited for defeating Grindelwald, he believes he knows what's best, and everyone should listen to him. He likes to stick his nose where it doesn't belong," she scoffed.

Hmm, I'm not sure what to think about this Dumbledore.

"Back on an earlier topic, what does Dumbledore have to do with Rose and the abuse she's suffered?" I asked.

"Even though Voldemort was dead, his Death Eaters were still around," Rin started.

"Death Eaters?" I asked, playing dumb.

"Voldemort's terrorist group," she clarified. "Anyway, Dumbledore took custody of Rose Potter and said he hid her somewhere safe. He must have known about the abuse, but it looks like he didn't do anything about it."

"So, what are we going to do about it?" I asked.

"...Do you know who she was staying with?" Rin asked after a moment.

"Yeah, her relatives from her mom's side," I answered. "They were the ones that abused her."

Rin sighed and kept quiet for a minute before she spoke again. "Well, the easiest way to get her out of there would be to adopt her. But, unfortunately, it would create problems if I was the one to do that."

"Then I'll do it," I declared.

Rin looked at me as if I was crazy. "Emiya, you're a teenager and a student. Where would Rose even stay?"

That's a good point. I can't have her stay at Leblanc, so I'll have to rent an apartment. How would I afford to pay for one?

"...I'll figure something out." I eventually said.

"Emiya," Rin started in a serious tone that made me look at her. "Are you sure about this?"

I nodded with a look in my eyes, hoping to convey how serious I was to Rin. It seemed to work because she looked away and sighed.

"Sheesh, you Emiyas are always so stubborn. You have the same look in your eyes as him," she muttered.

I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to hear that, but my Eavesdropping Skill made it possible for me.

"Fine, I'll help go through the adoption process and set you up with a house in Tokyo," she agreed to help. "We'll have to go to England, specifically Diagon Alley, to do this. We'll do it today. Tell Rose what's going on, and I'll get the portkey ready," Rin got up and started to leave.

"What's a portkey?" I asked her, already knowing the answer. I'm surprised Rin has one. I heard that portkeys are highly regulated.

"It's an enchanted object that teleports you to a specific place. It will get us to England in seconds," she answered as she left the room.

~X~

Now, it was just Rose and me in here. So I walked over to where she was sitting and reading a book and sat next to her. She noticed me and looked up,

"Are you having fun, kid?" I asked in an easygoing tone.

"I guess," she shrugged. "I don't normally get to read books."

"Why not?"

"My aunt and uncle don't let me," Rose had a frown on her face.

"Hmm, speaking of them, how would you feel if I could make sure you never see them again?" I asked straight out, deciding not to beat around the bush.

She went wide-eyed. "You can do that?"

"Yup, all I gotta do is adopt you. Uh, are you alright with that?" I asked a little nervously.

"Yes! If it gets me away from them, do it." I can hear the excitement and desperation in her voice at the idea of moving out of her relatives' house. " …And… I don't mind being adopted by you." she finished in a shy voice.

"That's good," I remarked. "But before we go through with the adoption, there are some things you need to know. Things about yourself."

"What kind of things," she asked with a frown.

"Don't worry, it's nothing bad. Here, it's easier to show you."

I held my hand out and Traced a kitchen knife in a flash of light.

"Wow, what was that?" she asked with a surprised and awed look.

"This is… magic," I almost said magecraft, but it's simpler to say magic, and I don't want to confuse her with the difference between the two terms.

"Wicked…" she said, eyes shining. Then she realized something. "Wait, what does this have to do with me?"

"Well, you can do this too," I revealed.

"What?" Rose looked confused again.

"Yer a witch, Rose," I said in a deep voice. I've wanted to say that for a while now.

"I-I'm a what?" she asked, shocked.

"A witch, a person born with the ability to do magic."

"I…" she trailed off and looked to be thinking about something. "Was that why?"

"What is it, Rose?" I asked.

"W-When I was staying with the Dursleys, they would always get angry when weird things happened," she said in a quiet voice and looked down. "They said it was 'freakish' and that I was a freak. Sometimes, Uncle Vernon would say he would 'beat it' out of me, but I never knew what 'it' was. Do you think they knew that I have magic?" she asked.

"I'm pretty sure they did," I hugged Rose. She flinched but didn't try to leave." Rose, you're not a freak. Don't listen to what the Dursleys said. They're-"

"Bad people, I know," she interrupted and leaned into the hug.

We sat there for a moment, silently staying in the hug.

"You know, you're taking this a lot better than I thought you would," I couldn't help but comment.

"I talked with Saber, and she really helped me with talking about the Dursleys and what they did to me. There's just… something about her that makes you want to listen, you know," she said.

"Haha, yeah, I do."

It sounds like Saber's B-Rank Charisma did the hard work for me regarding Rose's trauma. It will still take time and effort until she can move on from it, but at least she has people who will help her. I'll have to thank Saber later.

After a moment, I released the hug, and Rose looked much better.

"So, I'm going to live with you now?" she asked.

"Yeah, once we get the adoption finalized, we'll move into a house Tohsaka will set us up with."

"Oh. When is that going to happen?" Rose asked with a look of anticipation. I guess she can't wait to be away from her relatives for good.

"As soon as Tohsaka gets back," I answered.

As if right on cue, Rin came through the door along with Morgana, Olga, and Saber. I had to do a double-take at Saber's outfit. She wore a blue knee-length skirt with tights, a white shirt with a blue string tie, and brown boots.

"Where did you get that? And why are you wearing it?" I had to ask.

"Tohsaka gave these to me. She believes they will help me blend in with everyone else," she answered.

"Alright, we're ready to go," Rin said in Japanese.

Rose blinked and looked up at me, silently asking what Rin said.

"Tohsaka's finished setting up everything so we can go," I translated for her, and she nodded. I turned toward Rin. "There's just one more thing I got to do before we go."

"What's that?" Rin asked.

I hesitated for a second. "Oh, don't worry, it'll work," Medea reassured me.

I calmed myself. And then freaked everyone out when I Traced Rule Breakerand stabbed the scar on Rose's head.

"Ahh!" Rose stumbled backward and clutched her head where the scar was.

"What the hell are you doing!?" Rin screamed at me.

She was about to storm forward at me when a loud scream was heard by everyone. We all turned back to Rose, where her scar was letting out a black ooze when a smokey cloud came out of it, screaming at the top of its nonexistent lungs. The cloud turned into a screaming face that soon dissolved into the air.

I crouched to Rose, who had fallen to her knees in exhaustion and wiped up the black ooze. The mark on her forehead had considerably faded.

"What… was that?" Olga asked more than a little freaked out.

"A soul fragment," I answered truthfully.

"What!?" Rin shouted in surprise. "What was a soul fragment doing in the scar? And did you know it was there?"

"I sensed it." I lied. Thanks to my Lying Skill, she believed me.

"Who's soul was it?" Saber asked,

"I have an idea, but I need to confirm it first," Rin answered, crossing her arms with a frown.

I turned my attention back to Rose. "How do you feel?"

"I…." she blinked a couple times. "My head feels a lot lighter. Like a headache that I had for days finally went away ."

More like nine and a half years."That's good," I responded. "Think you're still up for going to England?"

"Yeah, I feel fine. Let's go," Rose hopped to her feet.

I didn't know it then, but using Rule Breaker had unintended consequences.

~Hogwarts School of Witch and Wizardry - Headmaster's Office ~

Third Person POV

In the Headmaster's Office in Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore and the four Heads of House held their monthly meeting. Dumbledore was sitting at his desk while the others were sitting on chairs in front of the desk.

*CRACK*

"What!? Albus, what was that?" McGonagall asked. She and the other professors were startled by the sound.

Dumbledore had an awful feeling as he got up from his chair and went upstairs to his observation room. The other professors followed him. When they entered, they realized a table was next to his telescope. On that table was a bunch of shattered glass and broken magical instruments.

Dumbledore's earlier fears appear to have been founded.

"I believe we will have to cut this meeting short," Dumbledore spoke. "I bid you all a wonderful rest of your day." Dumbledore was now ushering them out as they returned to the front of his desk.

"Albus, is something wrong?" McGonagall asked.

"Nothing of the sort, Minerva," Dumbledore assured her. "Severus, could you please come back here in two hours?"

Snape nodded, and all the professors left, though a bit worried and curious about those broken items.

Dumbledore sat back down at his desk and let out a long sigh. This is bad. Those magical instruments that were destroyed? Those were the devices he used to keep track of Rose Potter. They were used to keep track of her health and location and also let him know if the girl's life was in danger. Something must have severed the connection rather violently for the devices to shatter.

Dumbledore stood up. He needed to go now. Whoever cut the connection must be dangerous and skilled, and he must make sure the girl is safe.

However, without the device to track her, he'll have to investigate himself. Looks like he will have to make a personal visit to the Dursleys.

Unfortunately for Dumbledore, he didn't know the Dursleys had gone to Japan and it would take them a few months to return home.

Ironically, the girl he's looking for is much closer than he thinks.

~ Tohsaka Mansion ~

Yuki Emiya

After a short time, Rose felt well enough to go. She wanted to get adopted as quickly as possible so she could get away from her relatives.

"So, how are we getting to England?" I asked.

"With this," Rin waved her hand, something came floating over.

"A bucket?" Olga asked in disbelief.

"It's enchanted to take us to London. Make sure you're touching when it activates, or you'll be left behind," Rin explained.

I nodded and explained everything to Rose, who nodded in understanding as I put on my leather jacket. Next, I Traced one of my hooded running jackets for Rose and Altered it to fit her. This will help to keep people from recognizing her. I also Traced a pet carrier styled like a messenger bag so I could carry Morgana.

The bucket was set in the middle of the room, and we all surrounded it. Rin counted down from three, and all of us grabbed it. The next thing I know, we're all spinning off through a portal.

~ May 4 - Charing Cross Road, London, England - Afternoon ~

"Woah!"

"Oof."

"Ow…"

Saber, Olga, and I crash-landed on the ground in this side alley. I was able to hold Rose and Morgana to have them fall on top of me. Rin slowly floated down onto the pavement.

"Sorry…" Rose apologized as she got off of me.

"It's fine. It's not your fault," I slowly got up and sent a light glare at Rin, who had a smirk on her face.

"Consider this a small bit of payback for making me have to go through all this trouble," she said. "Come on, everyone, let's get a move on," she walked out of the alley.

Olga grumbled and followed Rin, I held my hand out to Rose, who tentatively grabbed it, and then we followed, and Saber moved to walk by my side. We were walking down the main walkway, and I could see Saber looking around.

"How does it feel to be back in Britain?" I asked her.

"I'm… not sure. Although, I am happy to see it thriving," Saber said. Her face showed complex emotions I couldn't figure out. I wonder how I can get Saber to open up more. It looks like she has something else on her mind.

"Hmm, London looks the same despite this being a different world," I heard Olga comment. I guess she's comparing this London to the one from her world. She should know this city well, she went to Clock Tower.

"We're here," Rin announced.

Looking up, I saw a familiar sign.

"The Leaky Cauldron?" Olga said, then she let out a breath and shook her head in bemusement.

The five of us entered the tavern and made our way through. Everyone, minus Rin, was looking around in curiosity. Eventually, we went out the back door and came up on a brick wall. Rin tapped the wall in a specific way, and the bricks started to magically move out of the way. Everyone stepped through.

Rose was in awe at this new world, looking at the buildings that looked to be from the 19th century, and the clothing of the people in robes and pointed hats. Olga was fascinated by the number of magical shops selling all sorts of things. So many of those things are very hard to come by in her world. Saber was more practical with her observation. While she was interested in her surroundings, she was more focused on looking for any threats, as unlikely as it is in this place. Morgana was just swiveling his head around, looking everywhere.

I was looking around as well, taking note of all the people to make sure no one could recognize Rose. Then, when we were passing by the Flourish & Blotts Bookshop, I noticed something annoying.

The Adventures of Rose Potter

The cover was a drawing of a scarily accurate rendition of Rose. The series seems to depict her as some sort of wandering hero from a distinguished family. That couldn't be further from the truth. She grew up in an abusive household living in a cupboard after doing all the housework with little food to eat. Rose noticed what I was staring at and developed a big frown, probably thinking the same things I was.

"What the hell is this?" I asked because I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Saber turned and frowned at what she saw; Olga raised an eyebrow at it, Morgana was in disbelief, and Rin had a scowl on her face.

"Just ignore those," Rin said. She scowled at the books before walking away. "I swear, this must be Dumbledore's doing…." I heard her mutter.

After walking a bit further, we arrived at Gringotts Bank.

"Here we are," Rin turned toward me. "The Goblins can help you make the adoption official. Just try not to get on their bad side. They can make things harder for you if you do."

"Right…." I looked toward the bank.

"Take Saber with you and your cat as well. I'll take Aminusphere and show her around the stores, I guess," Rin didn't wait for me to reply and dragged Olga back through the alley.

I took a breath and looked at the others still with me. "Ready to head in?" I asked.

They both nodded, and we walked past the guards and through the doors.

~X~

~ Gringotts Bank - Afternoon ~

Enter, stranger, but take heed

Of what awaits the sin of greed

For those who take but do not earn,

Must pay most dearly in their turn.

So if you seek beneath our floors

A treasure that was never yours,

Thief, you have been warned, beware

Of finding more than treasure there.

"What?" Rose was confused by the words that greeted us on the second set of doors.

"It's a warning to discourage thieves," I clarified the central meaning for her.

"Oh. Why did that have to go all fancy with the words? They went right over my head," she complained.

"Heh. Come on," I lead the way inside.

We walked through the second set of doors into the main hall and waited in line for a bit before we got to a teller.

"State your business in Gringotts today," the goblin teller stated while scowling at us.

"I'm here to clear up an adoption for Rose Potter," I answered, ignoring the goblin's annoyed tone.

He narrowed his eyes as I removed Rose's hood. He gave her a once over and then spoke to me.

"Do you have anything that can confirm her identity Ms…" He trailed.

"Emiya. I have her mundane passport," I pulled out Rose's passport and handed it to him.

"It'll do," he took it and flipped to the relevant pages. His scowl turned into a grimace, and he called out to another goblin. "Hey, you! Call Griphook to his office and tell him we might have the genuine person," He then turned toward us. "Follow me. I will take you to Griphook's office."

We followed the goblin into an office decorated with all sorts of weapons. I used my Mystic Eyes and added all these goblin silver weapons to my Reality Marble. Rose seemed to find the weapons interesting but stuck a little closer to my side. We took a seat while Saber stood behind me, off to the side, standing guard. Morgana was just relaxing in the bag.

After a short amount of time, an old, grumpy-looking goblin in a fashionable suit came in.

"I am Griphook. I have been the Potter's account manager for the last six generations," he took a seat at his desk. "Before we move forward, I would like to confirm her identity first," he placed a silver knife and parchment on the desk. "Seven drops of blood on the parchment, if you please."

Rose hesitantly looked at the knife, then at me in silent question. I nodded at her, and she took the knife and, with a wince, sliced her hand over the parchment. A family tree appeared, starting with Rose Potter and going all the way to Ignotus Peverell.

"Well, I'll be damned," Griphook muttered. He soon composed himself. "My colleague told me that you wish to adopt Miss Potter. Why is that?"

"Rose has been living with her mundane uncle and aunt, abusing her all her life. I won't go into much detail and just say it was both physical and emotional abuse. There is also her obvious malnourishment and the fact she was treated as a servant," I watched as Griphook's surprised expression turned to horror as I kept going. "Her relatives seem to hate anything having to do with magic, so Rose didn't find out about the magical world until earlier today."

"Wait, you said mundane aunt and uncle. Are you talking about Lily Evans' sister, Petunia?" Griphook asked in a tone that said he was hoping he was wrong.

I looked to Rose, who answered. "Yeah, I've been living with Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia," she confirmed, much to Griphook's dismay.

"This was already a tragedy before you mentioned the abuse. Your mother stated under no circumstances were you to live with her sister. The entire magical community and we were assured by Dumbledore that you were kept safe at a secure location," Griphook growled in annoyance.

The goblin opened up a drawer in his desk and took out a glass and a bottle of liquor. He poured himself a drink and quickly downed it. "We always knew the old goat was more manipulative and foolish than people give him credit for, but to leave the Girl-Who-Lived in an abusive household…."

"What do you mean by 'Girl-Who-Lived' ?" Rose asked.

"You're something of a celebrity in this world. You somehow survived the killing curse and are believed to be responsible for the death of the Dark Lord Voldemort," he explained."

"What? I was a baby! How could I defeat a Dark Lord!?" Rose asked in disbelief.

"That's what the wizards believe. Not smartest bunch in my opinion," Griphook shrugged. "It's much more likely that it was thanks to your parents that you survived that night."

"Is… is that what happened to my parents?" Rose asked in a small voice. "They weren't drunks who died in a car crash?"

Griphook shook his head. "No, your parents died protecting you."

Rose went silent and looked to be deep in thought. I put a hand on her shoulder to try and comfort her. I have no idea what she could be thinking right now.

"What's the process of the adoption? Rose can't stay in Dumbledore's care after all of this." I try to get things back to the reason we were here in the first place.

Griphook hummed and actually looked at me for the first time. "Normally, you would fill out some forms, and we would do a background check, but I suspect Dumbledore will contest this if he finds out. Never did like that meddling old fossil," he said. "I find a blood adoption is necessary. Blood relations are held in the highest regard. If we do that, then it won't matter how many strings Dumbledore pulls; he will get nothing, not even your identity."

I blinked at that. "Blood adoption?" I asked. I didn't think I would need to go that far.

"As it implies, it creates a blood relation through a potion and ritual. In essence, you become a third parent, so to speak. You may find that Heir Potter might take on some of your features, but it's usually not so noticeable," he explained as he pulled out a dagger and parchment. "While my impression of you is far better than most wizards, I cannot just let anyone adopt Heir Potter without confirming your identity first," he pushed the items forward.

Well, it looks like I will find out about my family. This is a rather pleasant unintended consequence. I took the knife, sliced my palm, and seven drops of blood fell on the parchment. I have to admit, I'm pretty excited. So excited that I pulled the paper closer to me.

And I was off to an interesting start.

Name: Yuki Emiya (Elysia Pendragon)

I… What? I mean, I see my name… But, what's with the second name? Pendragon?

Haah, well, I'm going to find out since my lineage is about to be shown.

My family tree started forming, starting with my father's side.

Father: Shirou Emiya

I mean, that's not much of a surprise. I already suspected as much, and it's nice to have confirmation. Next is Shirou's Father.

.

Grandfather: Giovanni Nero

Who? For some reason, the tree won't expand into Giovanni's family. I don't know why. Well, all I know about this guy is that he's most likely Italian, considering his name.

…Heh, I don't know why but the name Shirou Nero sounds so funny.

.

Grandmother: Elza Saijou

Why does this name seem so familiar? I feel like I should know this person.

…Nope, I got nothing.

The tree kept following my grandmother's line. I recognized only one name in the long list that goes back 1100 years.

Senji Muramasa

The Demon Blacksmith. I guess it is true that the old man was Shirou's ancestor. I guess that makes him my ancestor as well.

My father's side of the family tree was surprising but not unexpected. But what I saw from my mother's side was completely unexpected.

.

Mother: Mordred Pendragon

What? How? How is that possible? I rationalized that this was another Mordred Pendragon. After all, DxD is a part of this world. So, I thought it might be someone from that annoying family, not the Knight of Rebellion. But Mordred's parentage would prove me wrong.

.

Grandfather: Arthur Pendragon

Grandmother: Morgan le Fay

This was definitely King Arthur. It showed his parents, Uther and Igraine, and Morgan le Fay's parents, Gorlois and Igraine. I couldn't deny it but couldn't figure out how this was possible.

I… Just how?

And if the identity of my mother's side of the family wasn't enough. One more line connected my box to one that showed up next to me, showing a sibling relation.

Sister: Kazuko Emiya

…I have a sister?

I don't recognize the name, so I have no idea where to start looking. Even if I do find her, would she be happy to see me? Why hasn't she tried to find me? Does she even know I exist or who our parents are? Is she even alive?

I felt someone shake my shoulder, knocking me out of my thoughts. I looked to see it was Rose.

"Are you okay? You were really out of it," Rose asked, concerned.

"I'm fine, just surprised," I recomposed myself and turned to the goblin in the room. "Is this accurate?"

"Of course. We pride ourselves on our ability to keep track of bloodlines," Griphook sneered at the perceived insult.

"So, Mordred Pendragon really is my mother? And King Arthur Pendragon is my grandfather?" I asked slowly.

Griphook's eyes widened before he quickly grabbed the parchment. "Excuse me, I must consult with my colleagues," he practically ran out of the room.

"Saber, did you know about this?" I asked.

"I had a suspicion we were related, but I didn't think it would be so close," Saber admitted

"How is this possible?" I was hoping Saber would know.

"I do not know. This isn't my world, so I am not sure how the history of King Arthur happened here. I am just as confused as you are."

"You and Miss Saber are related?" Rose had a thinking look. "Yeah, that makes sense. You two look like each other," Rose commented, not understanding how closely related we are.

"Merlin, did you know?" I asked the mage in my mind.

"I suspected as much. I was able to confirm it when you pulled Caliburn," Merlin admitted.

"Why didn't you tell me," I asked, annoyed that she kept quiet.

"And spoil the surprise?" Merlin playfully teased me.

Ugh. Why does Merlin always have to be like this?

,

Over the next hour, the goblins had me slit my hand four times to ensure they got it right. Each time the results were always the same.

"It would seem, Lady Emiya, that you are the heir apparent to Magical Britain," Griphook was dabbing his face with a handkerchief. It seems the earlier excitement got to him.

"What!?" Heir to what!? "Ohhh, no. No, no, no. NO! Not happening! I am not becoming King! I mean- I'm a teenager! I'm still in high school, for crying out loud!" I vehemently denied this as much as I could.

"King Arthur was your age when he became King," Griphook couldn't help but point out, and I glared at him for that.

I heard Saber muffle a suspicious cough, and I turned my glare to her. She looked to the side, avoiding eye contact.

"Can we get back to the original reason why we are here?" I tried to steer things back to the adoption.

"Of course. We can speak of your family another time," Griphook graciously conceded. "With your background, I can think of no better person to adopt Heir Potter," he finished.

…Why is he more… amiable all of a sudden?

"Well, you are Crown Princess of Magical Britain," Merlin helpfully informed.

Please don't remind me. Still, how is it that I am the next ruler? I thought the Ministry was in charge. Or does Queen Elizabeth rule? I guess I'm going to have to read up on British politics at some point.

"Follow me to the ritual chamber," Griphook walked off, and we followed. "Only Heir Potter and Lady Emiya are allowed in here. Your bodyguard and cat will have to wait out here."

I nodded to Saber, who nodded in return, and gave her my bag that had Morgana in it. We entered a small, circular room, and in the center was some sort of ritual circle.

"Heir Potter, you are to sit in the middle of the circle. You are not to move no matter what," Griphook motioned, and Rose moved to sit. He then picked up a bowl with some potion and held it out to me. "Lady Emiya, you will add seven drops of blood, and then Heir Potter will drink the entire thing while remaining in the circle, and then we wait."

I nodded in understanding.

"Shall we get started?" he held the bowl out.

I cut my hand once again and dripped the blood in the potion. I took the bowl and handed it to Rose, who drank the whole thing in two large gulps. As she did this, I bandaged my hand again.

Rose took a sharp breath and started shaking. It looked like she was having a seizure, so I was worried. But Griphook gave me a reassuring nod, silently conveying that this was normal. Then, after a few seconds, she collapsed and passed out.

"Changes not so noticeable, huh?" I remarked. "Although… this could work in our favor."

Rose's appearance did change a bit. Her scarlet hair has changed to a golden blonde with a scarlet streak on the front left side of her hair. Now the chances of people recognizing her at first glance have significantly decreased.

I noticed Rose waking up, so I went to her side. " Rose, are you okay?"

"Ugh… did someone get the plate of the bus that hit me?" Rose groggily sat up.

"Heh. If you can joke, you're fine," I held her steady and helped her to her feet.

"I don't feel any different," Rose moved around and looked at her body. She noticed her change when she looked down, and her hair fell. "Oh, that's new," she commented.

"Your eyes were already green, but now with your hair blonde, you look a lot more like me," I said.

"Well, I'm your daughter now, so it's fine. Right?" she asked, a bit nervously.

"Yeah, it's fine," I gave her a headpat.

Rose giggled and wrapped her arms around my waist.

"Now, you need a new name," I pointed out. "Any suggestions?"

"I'm fine with what you want," she answered.

I thought it over in my head.

"...Rei. Rei Emiya."

Rose, now named Rei, hugged me tighter and looked up at me with a huge smile.

Heh, I guess this is the start of a new family.

"I am thou… Thou art I…
Thou hast acquired a new vow…

It shall become the wings of rebellion
that breaketh thy chains of captivity.

With the birth of the Death Persona
I have obtained the winds of blessing that
shall lead to freedom and new power…"

~ Diagon Alley - Afternoon ~

After the ritual, we finalized the adoption papers and were sent on our way. I promised Griphook that I would return to deal with the Pendragon and Le Fay vaults and those, in his words, "fake Pendragons."

We ran into Rin just outside. "There you are. You certainly took…" she trailed as she got a good look at Rei and gained a look of surprise. Saber and Morgana were the same when we left the ritual chamber.

"Blood adoption," I answered the question that was no doubt going through her mind.

She blinked at that. "Okay," she accepted. "Here, take this," she handed me ten galleons.

"What's this for?" I asked while taking the money.

"So you can get yourself a wand and a holster," she answered.

I tilted my head. I don't see myself using a wand. I think I'd stick to Tracing instead, but having more options is not bad.

"I'll give you some books on wizarding magic when we get back to my house," she said. "I'm going to find Aminusphere. We'll meet you in front of the ice cream store, and then we'll leave.," Rin walked off without waiting for my reply.

"That was kind of rude. She just walked off," Morgana commented.

"Eh, that's just how she is. She doesn't mean anything by it," I shrugged.

"Do you know what Morgana is saying, Mum? Cause all I hear is meows." Rei asked.

I just shrugged in response, not willing to explain the Metaverse yet.

We went off to the wand store right next to Gringotts.

~ Ollivanders - Afternoon ~

The three of us plus one cat entered the store, and I walked up to the front counter. I suddenly felt a presence on my right side. Saber quickly closed the distance and held her sword to the person while I took out Ivory and aimed it at them.

Taking a good look, it turned out to be the place's owner, Garrick Ollivander.

"Oh my," he said, surprised to see a gun pointed at him.

"Don't sneak up on me," I warned him with a glare and slowly lowered my gun. Saber slowly retracted her invisible sword.

"Apologies, surprising people is a force of habit of mine," he said. He seems genuinely sorry.

"I'm here to get my first wand," I got down to business.

"Really? That's surprising. Usually, people get their wands just before their first year of school," he said, surprised.

"I started late," is all I said.

"I see. Well then, let's get started," he went behind the counter. "Which one is your dominant hand?"

"I'm ambidextrous," I replied.

"Hmm, interesting," he went to one of his shelves, pulled out a wand, and presented it to me. "Try this. Cedar, 11 inches, with a unicorn hair core."

I grabbed it and gave it a wave.

…The stairs caught on fire.

This went on for about 30 minutes, me waving wands while destroying the store. This would have been fun, but I've had a long day and just want to relax. Eventually, I got tired of this and decided to use my Mystic Eyes to find it. It took a while to look through all of them, but I found it.

"What about that one over there," I pointed to the one at the very top of a top shelf.

Ollivander moved his ladder to it and brought it down. He gave it a look. "Ahhh, this is perfect… You might have a future in wand-making," he took the wand and held it out to me. "Cherry wood, 12 inches, with a dragon heartstring core. A very powerful wand."

I picked up the wand, but nothing happened. I gave it a wave, white and pink sparks shot out of it, and the smell of cherry blossoms permeated the air. Ollivander smiled at this reaction.

"I take it that's a good thing," I said.

"Yes, very good," he responded excitedly.

I nodded. "I'd also like to buy a wand holster."

"Waist, shoulder, or forearm?"

"...Shoulder. And I'd like it in black," I added.

"Very well. That will be ten galleons."

I gave him the gold, and we were on our way.

"Thank you for your patronage!" Ollivander thanked us as we left.

~ Tohsaka Mansion - My Room - Night ~

We used a portkey to get back to Fuyuki. Once back at the mansion, we talked about dinner plans. Tohsaka was going to go out and buy some take-out, but once I looked at all the cooking ingredients in the kitchen, I offered to cook dinner for everyone. She accepted.

I think everyone is now spoiled on my cooking because they all said they would only eat my food from now on.

Afterward, Rin gave me some good starting books on wizarding magic and gave me one month to decide what I wanted to do with this portal business. Although, it was pretty clear Rin wanted me to get involved considering I'm the only one who has gone through a portal.

Once I entered my room, I tossed my bag onto the bed and flumped onto the bed. Morgana climbed out of the bag and moved next to me.

"What a day, huh?" he said, lying down.

"Yeah…" I tiredly replied. "So much went on."

"Are we going to tell Lady Ann and the monkey about all of this?"

"No. Not only do I not want to, but also there's an international law that says we can't tell anyone that's not family," I explained.

"Huh, all right," Morgana accepted. "How's it feel being a mom?"

"I… don't think it's sunk in yet."

"Where is Rei going to live? I don't think she can stay at the café."

"Tohsaka is setting us up in this large house in Meguro. Not sure what I'm going to do about that." I admitted.

"What do you mean?" Morgana asked.

"I mean… what do I tell Boss?"

"Do you mean Sojiro?"

"Yeah. I have a daughter now, and I need to take care of her. That means I gotta live with her in Meguro. But, at the same time, I don't want to get Boss involved with the magical world," I complained.

"Hmm, yeah, that's a tough situation," Morgana couldn't offer any solution.

Oh, yeah. I have that Companion Gem to summon Sebas from Overlord. I could summon him and ask him to help me care for her. Will he be loyal to me? The residents of Nazerick are only loyal to the Supreme Beings.

Oh, you don't have to worry about that.

What are you talking about, SYSTEM?

You'll find out when you summon him.

…I'll take your word for it.

I was broken from my thoughts when there was a knock at the door.

"Come in," I called out and sat up on my bed.

The door opened to show that it was Rei in her new pajamas. She entered the room and closed the door behind her.

"What's up?" I asked.

"Can I… Uh…" Rei mumbled the last part.

"Hm?"

"Can I sleep here tonight?" she asked quietly.

"Sure," I instantly okayed it.

"Really?" she asked. I can tell she didn't expect me to agree so quickly. But, I could see some happiness in her eyes.

"Yeah, of course," I pat the spot next to me on the bed.

Rei came over and got on the bed and under the covers. She looked happy in this cocoon she made.

"So, why do you want to sleep here?" I asked after a while.

"No reason," she said. I raised an eyebrow and smiled dryly to show I didn't believe that. She didn't answer me and brought the blankets closer to her.

"Okay, fine, you don't have to tell me," I playfully said. I wasn't going to push it. My best guess is that Rei needs some kind of reassurance.

I laid down next to her and pulled her into a hug. She snuggled into me in response. Morgana moved to sleep at the foot of the bed.

"Good night, Mum," Rei said sleepily.

I sighed. That's going to take some getting used to. I'm still unsure about this whole mom business. I mean, I'm 15 years old and in high school. But I don't hate it.

"Heh, good night, Rei," I said while softly patting her head.

Omake: A Summoning to Another Grand Order (Non-Canon)

Rituska Fujimaru was in the summoning room, preparing to "roll the gacha," as his sister calls it. She would do this too, but she's too busy lamenting that she has no saint quartz. It's times like these that Ritsuka is glad he's the mature one.

He placed the saint quartz and moved back as a pillar of light shot up. As he started to fade, he saw the outline of a person. Yes! A new Servant!

The light faded to show a teenager, no older than 15, with golden blond hair and green eyes. She was wearing a red hoodie, a black leather jacket with a fire wings design on the back, dark blue jeans, and black biker boots. She also had two guns in a holster on each thigh. One was white, and the other was black. Last is a blue and gold sword pendant around her neck.

"Servant Assassin. You my Master?" the Servant asked with a smirk.

"Mordred?" Ritsuka couldn't help but blurt out. This new Servant looked so much like her.

"Haha, no. Guess again," Assassin crossed her arms with an amused smile.

"Sorry, you look a lot like her," Ritsuka apologized,

"I get that a lot," Assassin shrugged, and Ritsuka tilted his head at that. Did Assassin know Mordred? "You still haven't answered my question."

"Huh? Oh, right. Uh, yes, I am your Master."

"Hmph, good," Assassin responded. "Say, do you have any siblings?"

"Why do you ask," Ritsuka questioned.

"Just humor me."

"Okay…?" Ritsuka said, confused. "I do have a sister. Her name is Gudako."

"Your parents named your sister 'Boring Girl'? " Assassin raised an eyebrow at that.

"Yeah…" Ritsuka slumped.

"Hmm," Assassin looked to be thinking of something.

It was at this point Da Vinci entered the room.

"Hello Ritsuka, I see you've acquired a new Servant," Da Vinci said while pulling out a tablet.

"What's that?" Assassin asked.

"It's a tool that lets us scan your Saint Graph. With this, we can see your parameters and skills and upload the information to our database," Da Vinci explained.

"Huh, okay, scan away," Assassin allowed.

A blue light passed over Assassin, and her Saint Graph was added to the system.

"Oh, wow. It seems you pulled a really lucky Servant," Da Vinci handed the tablet to Ritsuka, who looked at what it revealed about Assassin.

"Sheesh, your stats are incredibly high for an Assassin, and that's a lot of Noble Phantasms," Ritsuka was amazed by her parameters. They were at least B-Rank and had a 'plus' modifier. She also had seven Noble Phantasms.

Seven!

The most he'd ever seen a Servant have before now was four.

He wanted to ask about her titles, dislikes, and natural enemies, but it's rude to ask about them immediately.

"Huh, I didn't think it would tell you about that much," Assassin was surprised to see things about her likes, dislikes, and natural enemies. "At least my Noble Phantasms are hidden."

"Emiya?" Ritsuka noticed her last name. He had a Servant that went by EMIYA. Is Assassin related to him?

"Huh. Well, here you go, Da Vinci," Ritsuka held out the tablet for her to take, but she was staring at Assassin. "Da Vinci?"

"Hm, sorry," she snapped out of it. "It's just… Have we met each other before? You seem so familiar," she asked Assassin.

"...No, we haven't," Assassin answered. Technically, that was true.

"Huh? Is that so?" Da Vinci tilted her head in confusion.

"How about we move on with the tour?" Ritsuka tried to move things along. "I'll introduce you to the other staff members, and then we can head to the cafeteria to eat. It's around lunchtime."

"Sure thing, Master. Lead the way," Assassin followed behind Ritsuka.
