How am I seeing John. I haven't seen him sibce I was very little but IFs do come in times of need but would Rocket understand if I explain.
It was night time and Rocke had been lying awake after Herbert had done sone tests on him just to make sure he was alright after being a symbiote host which had led to his ears hurting along with his head noticing a rose-pink butterfly giving him a butterfly kiss. "It's been a long while Rocke and recent events have made me return." he told the male-tenuki making him surprised. Plus in the morning he'd be discharged so being reunited with John made him feel better wondering how he'd heard him. "You called to me in yohr mind and I sensed you." he told him lying beside him becoming bigger to lie beside him and the scent of sakuras from his wings relaxed him.
"It's okay Rocke, rest, dream of yohr happy place." he said to him as Rocke drufted off into sleep but the next morning, Herbert and Rocket saw Rocke asleep with his arms arouhd something they couldn't see but Rocke looked peaceful seeing him begin to stir sitting up carefully but John had shrank to fit into his jacket pocket relieving him making Rocket curiohs as they left but getting breakfast as he was relieved his sweet Rocke was okay.
"We're good Rocket, you had to get that, that thing off me." Rocke said holding Rocket's paw but Rocket saw the rose-pink butterfly in Rocke's pocket or peeking oht of getting curiohs. "It's yohr IF right. Piper told me aboht him and guessed he sensed yohr stress and yes, I know about IFs. RJ sees them a lot on Wondergore with kids and surprised he doesn't have one." Rocket replied to him.
"Maybe he needs help making obe or he has friends so obe hasn't appeared. We're created by kits like Rocke who are lonely or need help coping Maybe he already has." John told him.
"You have a point but Herbie hasn't mentioned this." Rocket said seeing RJ running from the indoor playvroubd with a kit that looked familar guessing RJ did have an IF and it looked like Rocket. "Let Herbie deal with whatever shenigans RJ got into, Rocke you okay, your ears huh." Rocket told him seeing Rocke shake his head trying to be brave but knew he couldn't hide from Rocket nodding.
"We'll get you medicine when we get to my place but you should take iteast after everything." he told Rocke seeing him nodding.
"It's good he's resting and the meds Herbie prescribed knock him out. It's my fault he's in auditory pain." Rocket said to John who was on his furry shoulder watching Rocke asleep. "Rocke t9ld you it was an accident and he forgives you pkus he's delighted you can see me. He was nervous about explaining but it's good you get it. Your strong bond with him enables it." John said impressing Rocket
He then saw him lie beside Rocke becoming bigger which Rocket was impressed by lying down beside them as today had been hectic feeling calm zoning out into sleep just as Rocket Senior returned relieved Rocke was back. "We'll talk later I guess and should let you sleep." he mumured going to make himself some tea
