Chapter 1: The Way of the Owl, Part 1
Daytime
It starts with Amaya at home, sitting on her bed in her room and reading the book of the Owlarions to know what abilities her kind are able to use, but she only started reading the book when she heard a knock on her bedroom door and hid the book under her bed, she then went to the door and opened it revealing Connor and Greg behind it.
"Hey guys, what brings you here?" Amaya asked
"Something happened at school while we were at the museum last night." Connor said
"What do you mean?" Amaya asked
"We were getting ready for school when our teacher called saying the school is covered in odd sticky balls, so it has to be Night Ninja." Greg said
"Whatever he's up to, we can't let him get away with it, PJ Masks we're on our way…" Connor started (holds his fist out for Amaya and Greg to hold theirs against his.)
"Into the night to save the day!" Amaya, Connor and Greg shouted
Nighttime
At the school, Owlette was looking around in the sky to find if Night Ninja was up to anything else, but as she looked around, she saw Catboy and Gekko weren't around, she landed on the roof of a building and contacted them.
"Hey guys, I don't see Night Ninja anywhere, do you guys see him?" (but all she could hear was static when she tried to contact them.) "Guys? Hello? Why aren't they answering?" Owlette asked
(but as Owlette began to fly back into the sky, she was hit by a sticky splat and got hung upside down on a street lamp by her feet, she was about to get herself free until eight Ninjalinos appeared out of nowhere, surrounding Owlette with Night Ninja appearing from a puff of smoke laughing.)
"I knew you PJ pests would come looking for me when I splatted the school, speaking of which, where are the others?" Night Ninja asked
"Like I would tell you, you made something to keep me from contacting them, didn't you?" Owlette asked
"That's something Romeo would do, I'd have to watch him work how one of his devices work, guess you were too distracted to see that splat coming." Night Ninja said
(tries to contact the others again.) "Guys, I need help! Night Ninja captured me! (but could only hear static.) guys?" Owlette asked
"Guess we didn't need that electric splat after all." Night Ninja said
"Electric splat?" Owlette asked
"It shuts electronics down and stuns others. How do you think me and my Ninjalinos got into the school without setting off the alarm?" Night Ninja asked
"When I get out of this, I'm gonna…" Owlette didn't get to say
"Hold that thought, I wanna make a deal." Night Ninja said
"Like I would…" Owlette didn't get to say
(Just then, Owlette's comlink let out a screeching sound causing her, Night Ninja and the Ninjalinos to cover their ears from it until they heard Catboy from it.)
"Owlette, are you there? Guys, somethings wrong, Owlette's not responding." Catboy said
"Yes, now you're in for it, Night Ninja. Catboy, I'm here, I…" Owlette didn't get to say (gets interrupted by Gekko talking through his comlink.)
"We have a bigger problem here, Pharaoh Boy somehow got the chariot to move without the wolfies, we have to stop him!" Gekko shouted
"Wait, guys, I…" (tries to talk to them only to hear the static meaning they turned off their comlinks.) "they didn't hear me. I was able to hear them, but they didn't hear me." Owlette said
"Huh, this is unlike anything Romeo would do, someone else must've been behind it." Night Ninja said
"I don't need your help with my problem!" Owlette said
"I think you do." Night Ninja said (grabs the sticky splat around Owlette's feet and pulls it apart, releasing Owlette.)
"Why would…" Owlette didn't get to say
"Whoever did this to you is ruining my moment of capturing you, and whoever did it, is gonna regret it." Night Ninja said
"I don't know who it is either, but I have to help the others with what Pharaoh Boy is doing, I'll deal with my problem later." Owlette said (flies into the air and heads towards the museum.)
(Owlette flew in the sky until she reached the museum to see Catboy and Gekko avoiding Pharaoh Boy's beams who is on the roof of the museum, Owlette tried to join the battle only to get hit by one of the beams that Gekko avoided and got trapped in a pyramid shaped purple floating cell, she then tried to call out to Catboy and Gekko, but her voice was silenced from the outside, after Pharaoh Boy blasted a few more beams at Catboy and Gekko, he looked at the floating cell with Owlette in it to notice she was moving her mouth but wasn't saying anything, without warning, Gekko threw one of his shields at Pharaoh Boy, knocking his staff out of his hand and across the roof of the museum for all the floating cells in the area to disappear with Owlette landing into a bush head first, just as Pharaoh Boy ran to get his staff, Catboy and Gekko ran off without noticing Owlette was stuck in the bush. After they left, Pharaoh Boy grabbed his staff and used it to float himself back to the ground to see Owlette stuck in the bush and wondered why her voice was silent until Night Ninja appeared from a puff of smoke with the Ninjalinos jumping behind him.)
"Okay, now that is strange," (turns to Pharaoh Boy.) "how did you mute her in one of those things?" Night Ninja asked
"It wasn't me, I was as confused as you are about it." Pharaoh Boy said
"Ninjalinos, get her unstuck!" (Ninjalinos ran over to Owlette and began pulling on her legs to free her.) "first her comlink, now this, what is happening?" Night Ninja asked
"I'm not sure how to answer that, but the owl's voice being blocked from calling her friends is something I don't like." Pharaoh Boy said
"That's like when she wasn't able to contact her." (taps his chin a bit and comes up with an idea, places his arm over Pharaoh Boy's shoulders and whispers to him.) "this could be a good thing for us, birdbrain thinks I jammed her comlink so she can only hear her friends and soon she'll think you silenced her in that floating thing." Night Ninja said
(understands what Night Ninja is saying and whispers.) "Now that is an idea we can agree on, but how should we use it to our advantage?" Pharaoh Boy asked
(whispers from behind.) "I think I can help with that." a voice said from behind (startles Night Ninja and Pharaoh Boy from behind and look back to see it was Octobella.)
"Why do you wanna help?" Night Ninja asked
"You're not the first to think her friends aren't listening to her, she thinks I'm jamming the screen and speaker on her glider." Octobella said
"And how will you help with this plan?" Pharaoh Boy asked
"Watch this." (moves over to where Owlette is and uses one of her tentacles to pull on Owlette's legs and pull her out of the bush she was stuck in.) "We can fix all the trouble we caused for you." Octobella said
"Say what!?" Night Ninja asked in shock
"How dare you!" Pharaoh Boy shouted
"You will?" Owlette asked
"Of course, on one condition though." Octobella said
"What condition?" Owlette asked
"you have to do what me and these two say." Octobella said (points at Night Ninja and Pharaoh Boy for the two to realize what she's planning.)
"What!? No way! I'm a hero, I can't do that!" Owlette said
"Then it seems we won't let you talk to the others." Night Ninja said
"You'll just hear what the others are saying for the rest of your life." Pharaoh Boy said
(becomes worried about it and had no choice.) "Alright, I'll do whatever you villains want, just as long as I'll be able to talk to the others. What's my first order?" Owlette asked
(Night Ninja, Pharaoh Boy and Octobella looked at each smiling then grinned as they looked at Owlette. A few minutes later, Owlette was in the Egyptian exhibit sweeping the floors as the three villains were relaxing on the Egyptian lounge chair with the Ninjalinos were patrolling the museum to keep a lookout for any of the other heroes while one of the Ninjalinos were keeping a close eye on Owlette to make sure she doesn't do anything wrong.)
"I can't believe I'm doing this." Owlette said
"Less talking, more cleaning." (about to eat another grape until one of the Ninjalinos came into the room speaking Ninjalinoese in panic.) "What's with that one?" Pharaoh Boy asked
"He's telling us the PJ pests are coming!" Night Ninja said
"What!? On our first night of having her as our servant!?" Octobella asked in shock
"Run and hide!" Night Ninja shouted
"I can't let them see me like this!" Owlette said (hides behind a vase.)
(as Owlette and the villains hid in different areas of the Egyptian exhibit, Gekko, An Yu and Bastet came into the room at the ready, Owlette peeked out from behind the vase a bit to see them ready to strike, she was about to back up a bit until she accidentally knocked the broom over, causing it to hit the ground making a sound getting Bastet's attention for her to growl getting Gekko and An Yu's attention for where the sound came from, the three started to walk towards where Owlette is hiding until Night Ninja came out from hiding behind one of the columns and threw sticky splats at the heroes with the Ninjalinos coming out of hiding to join in on throwing sticky splats at the three who were avoiding the splats until An Yu leaped onto her staff and flew towards Night Ninja, making him poof away in a puff of smoke for An Yu to fly out an open hatch on the roof, Gekko and Bastet began to look around for any other villain that is around only for Pharaoh Boy to walk out from behind the Egyptian lounge chair in plain view causing Bastet to growl at him.)
"And to think you would come back here after foiling my last plan." Pharaoh Boy said
"Catboy told us Owlette hasn't been responding and located her here from Power Q." Gekko said
(whispers to herself.) "They do care." Owlette whispered
"Well, if you want your friend, you'll have to try and beat us!" Pharaoh Boy said (runs out of the exhibit, laughing with Bastet chasing him.)
"Go get him, Bastet!" Gekko shouted
(reappears from behind Gekko.) "Just you and me now, little green." Octobella said
(jumps away in fright from hearing Octobella from behind.) "I wondered why you weren't in the moat lately." Gekko said (begins to circle in place with Octobella across from him.)
"I was just planning what to do next after jamming communications on the glider of that bird friend of yours, but she thinks it's me." Octobella said
"You didn't jam the Owl Glider's communications." Gekko said
(whispers.) "What?" Owlette whispered
"If I'm not the one who jammed her communications, then who?" Octobella asked (acts smug about it.)
"We did." Gekko said (shows a look of seriousness while bringing out his shields for Octobella to gasp in surprise as Owlette was shocked from it while hiding behind the vase.)
"You and your friends did it? Why?" Octobella asked
"A man in crystal-like armor told us about Owlette becoming a danger to all of us." Gekko said
(whispers.) "Me? A danger to all?" Owlette asked
"I don't know why you're calling her a villain, but she'd never do something like that." Octobella said
"That's what we thought until he showed us a vision about it." Gekko said
(walks out from behind the vase.) Gekko, I would never do anything bad." Owlette said
"Lies!" (spins around and throws both shields at Owlette, making her duck from them.) "The man told us not to trust you!" (grabs the vase and was about to slam it onto Owlette only for it to be taken out of his hands and looked to who took it from him only to see a man in crystal armor with a black cape behind him.) "It's you." Gekko said
(places the vase back where it was.) "I shall handle the owl." the man in crystal armor said
(Gekko stepped to the side for the man to start walking towards Owlette who was backing away in fright until she flew into the air to get away from him. But without warning, the man tapped his shoes together for a bit of flames to appear under them and flew upwards, Owlette panicked as she began to fly away with the man flying after her while Gekko started going after Octobella. Owlette flew all around the museum to get away from the man as fast as she could, but he was inching closer as he held a hand out to grab her, but when Owlette made a hard left, she caused the man to fly into a banner and fall onto the ground. Seeing the man blinded, Owlette took the opportunity to get away, but once she got outside, she heard glass breaking and saw the man had flown through one of the windows while pulling the banner off. Owlette tried to run towards the gate only for the man to land in front of her and cause her to fall backwards.)
"Who are you?" Owlette asked
"I am known by many names, but in this armor, you may know me as... the Lunar Knight." the Lunar Knight said
"A knight? With moon powers?" Owlette asked
"That's right, I have been waiting a long time to face an Owlarion, even if it's the princess." the Lunar Knight said
"What? But how do you…" Owlette didn't get to say
"The Chief of police told everyone about you today, I knew the great disaster was coming and when I heard you were given the Owlarion book, I figured you were the one to save us all." the Lunar Knight said
"But... I don't even know who the great disaster is." Owlette said
"None of us do, the great disaster's identity is hidden before and after the battle with it." the Lunar Knight said
"Maybe if we find the great disaster, we can find a way to…" Owlette said
"The great disaster can only be fought when the time comes!" the Lunar Knight shouted (throws a fist down at Owlette only to miss from Owlette rolling out of the way.)
"It doesn't have to be this way, we can find a way to make it so the great disaster won't hurt any of us again." Owlette said
"You know, you're acting like all the others that fought the great disaster my forefathers told me about. Always wanting to stop it the peaceful way." the Lunar Knight said
"But I can't fight it, I'm too young for that." Owlette said
"That's what this test is about!" the Lunar Knight shouted
"Test?" Owlette asked
(After realizing she was taking part in a test, she began running from the Lunar Knight, trying to get away from him, but after climbing on top of the fountain, the Lunar Knight rammed the podium over, causing Owlette to fall off and near the steps of the museum. Owlette slowly stood up as she saw the Lunar Knight facing her, she was about to head back into the museum only to stop from seeing Gekko, An Yu and Bastet exit the doors and block her path.)
"Guys, you have to listen, he's lying to you." Owlette said
"It is best if you save your breath, we won't listen to what you say." An Yu said
"Just admit it, you won't prevail." Bastet said
"It's over Owlette, we're no longer your friends." Gekko said
(Owlette was shocked from what they said and began to hyperventilate, the Lunar Knight began to walk towards Owlette as she fell to her knees while holding her head in panic, but when her whole suit began to glow red, Gekko, An Yu and Bastet shielded themselves for what is gonna happen as the Lunar Knight stopped from seeing it and became wide eyed, knowing what's about to happen next, he was about to turn and run only for Owlette to look up at the sky letting out a screech like an owl with a red wave to fly in all directions pushing Gekko, An Yu and Bastet back against the museum doors while the Lunar Knight was pushed into the fountain by it. After the screech, Owlette breathed hard as she looked between her friends and the Lunar Knight to see they were knocked back by something she did and flew into the sky to get away from the scene. After she left, Gekko, An Yu and Bastet stood up from the impact as Gekko saw his emblem glow a bit, confusing him while the Lunar Knight stood up from the fountain and looked up towards the sky revealing the right side of his helmet cracked a bit.)
"The test isn't over... Owlette." the Lunar Knight said
