Chapter 2: The Way of the Owl, Part 2
Daytime
(It starts with Amaya at home, pacing around thinking about what happened last night at the museum, she couldn't get it out of her head about what her friends said, she then grabbed the communicator to try and contact Connor.)
"Hey Connor," (only sees static on the screen to know all her communication access was cut off.) "I can't believe they would do this." Amaya said
(Amaya then looked down to see the Owlarion book sticking out from under her bed a bit, she then pulled it out and placed it on her bed, she sat down in front of it and continued reading it, but when she got to a certain page, she saw it showed an emblem of ten animals, she knew three of them were Cat Stripe King, Eagle Owl and Power Lizard, but she doesn't know who the other seven animals are, but looking closer, she saw the other seven animals were a dragon, horse, polar bear, armadillo, butterfly, cheetah and t-rex, she was curious on who they were until she saw a glow on the page to see the emblems of each animal appearing.)
"Ten animals, that must mean I need to find them somehow." Amaya said
(She was worried about how she's gonna find them, but tonight she is gonna do her best to find them.)
Nighttime
(At the canal, Owlette was walking around trying to find the nighttime heroes with the emblems, but was having trouble finding them, her search was interrupted when a snowball hit a mailbox and froze it in a block of ice causing her to look to where it came from and saw Ice Cub and Lilyfay coming towards her on the Ice Dasher with Lilyfay driving it as Ice Cub was throwing the snowballs, Owlette started to run and avoided getting ran over by them and flew into the air to get away only for Lilyfay to fly after her with Ice Cub grabbing the steering to keep up, Owlette flew as fast as she could to get away while Lilyfay began to blast cosmic rays at her, Owlette did her best to dodge them until one of the rays hit her cape causing her to wobble a bit until she started to fall from the sky and landed in a dumpster, Lilyfay landed across from where Owlette was to see where she is as Ice Cub stopped the Ice Dasher to find she isn't around, the two then continued their way as Owlette carefully got out of the dumpster and tried to fly only to find her cape has been ripped from the ray.)
"Oh no, this is getting serious, I have to find those animals fast, if only there was a way I can…" Owlette said
(Owlette didn't have time to think when she heard something coming from around the corner, but when she looked, she saw the PJ Explorider in land mode with PJ Robot, Gekko and An Yu in it, Owlette ducked back behind the corner from seeing them, she then ran down an alley and climbed up a ladder to get to high ground and avoid the PJ Explorider, after waiting for them to drive by, she leaned back and looked up into the sky about seeing PJ Robot with them.)
"PJ Robot too? Are all the heroes against me?" (thought all her friends were against her until she remembered Catboy, he was worried about her last night.) "Catboy, maybe if I find Catboy, I can tell him what's been happening." Owlette said
(Owlette then climbed back down and ran out of the alley to find Catboy. Meanwhile at the school, Catboy was on the roof surveying the area to see where Owlette is, but was unable to see her, he then tried to contact her with the comlink.)
"Owlette? Are you there?" (but only hears static.) "Hey guys, Owlette's not responding, has anyone found her yet?" Catboy asked
"Me and Lilyfay came across her at the canal, but we lost her when she flew off." Ice Cub said
"We tried to follow her, but something knocked her out of the sky." Lilyfay said
"Me, An Yu and PJ Robot are looking for her in the PJ Explorider, we'll find her somehow." Gekko said
"I just hope everythings alright, she's been acting strange for a week." Catboy said
(Catboy then jumped down from the school and super sped away to a new area to find her. Back with Owlette, she was in the park trying to find Catboy as she got closer to their old PJ HQ, she headed to the door and placed her hand on the wall as it transformed into a scanner, after scanning her hand, a door opened next to it for her to go in as it closed behind her, inside PJ HQ, Owlette was going up the elevator as it slowly went up due to being jammed a bit from the HQ not being used for so long, after getting Catboy's level of HQ, she saw everything was covered in dust with cobwebs in the corners, she was shocked to see HQ all dusty from the last time she and the others used it.)
"I can't believe we've left PJ HQ offline for so long, maybe it still works," (walks to the center of the room and activates a big shield around her with a holo player in front of her.) "Let's see, where are you, Catboy?" (tries to find Catboy in the cameras only for the holo player to turn off with the shield deactivating.) "What the?" Owlette asked
(Owlette thought something was off until she backed up for the PJ Crystal to appear in the middle of the room from a flash of light, Owlette was shocked from seeing the PJ Crystal appear by itself until her shock turned into fright when she saw the PJ Crystal start to move by itself when it started to turn towards her.)
"PJ Crystal? How can it…" Owlette didn't get to ask (Owlette didn't get to ask when she heard a bunch of voices from inside the PJ Crystal.)
"You must complete the test!" (starts floating towards Owlette slowly, making her back up in fright.) "Defeat the Lunar Knight! Complete the test! It is the only way to regain the trust of your friends!" the voices in the PJ Crystal echoed
(Owlette began to panic as she ran to the cat flap as it opened for her to jump out and fall into the moat, after getting back on land, she walked towards the bridge and looked up at PJ HQ from what she experienced, she was about to leave until she heard laughing and looked up to see Luna Girl and Motsuki floating above the cat flap.)
"We saw the whole thing, that was hilarious!" Luna Girl said
"Motsuki likes seeing birdy panic, eep!" Motsuki said
"Listen, I…" (becomes scared from seeing the Lunar Knight walking out of the HQ and near the edge of the cat flap.) "Lunar Knight." Owlette said
"You still have a test to complete, you can't run from it." the Lunar Knight said
(Owlette turned to try and run away only for the Lunar Knight to blast himself into the air and land in front of Owlette, after that, the Lunar Knight leg sweeped Owlette to the ground and threw a fist at her only to miss when she rolled out of the way, Owlette tried her best to get away only for the Lunar Knight to grab her by the cape and throw her against a tree as Luna Girl and Motsuki flinch a bit from seeing it. Owlette tries to crawl away as the Lunar Knight explains why he's doing it.)
"I was hoping you would put up a fight, you see, I lied about you becoming a danger, I only did it so I can test you, but it seems you're not what I thought you were. (reels his fist back and swings it at Owlette only for it to be caught by her as she turns her head towards him revealing herself to be angry.) There it is." the Lunar Knight said
(Owlette then began to attack as the Lunar Knight dodges each one while swinging his fists at her every few seconds until he began to rapidly punch Owlette for almost a minute until he uppercut her a few feet away, the Lunar Knight stood in place as he watched Owlette slowly get up only to fall to her knees from all the injuries she got while breathing heavy.)
"Looks like the test has failed, it seems you were never the one to…" the Lunar Knight said
(The Lunar Knight didn't finish what he was saying when Owlette's suit glowed red and turned her gaze up into the sky, screeching letting out a red wave in all directions knocking the Lunar Knight back and near the bridge, the Lunar Knight was about walk towards Owlette only to see her still letting out her screech. Meanwhile with Catboy, he was at the playground with a sadden look on his face until Armadylan rolled in and landed in front of him with Bastet appearing out of nowhere from her portal.)
"Hey Catboy, looked all over town, but we couldn't find Owlette." Armadylan said
"Where could she be? There has to be a reason why she's…" (hears a screeching sound with a red wave nearly knocking him, Armadylan and Bastet down. After gaining his footing, he noticed the emblem on his suit was glowing and panicked.) "What the!? Something's wrong with Cat Stripe King! Guys, we have to…" Catboy didn't finish
"Uh, Catboy!" (gets Catboy's attention for him to see the same thing is happening to her and Armadylan's emblems.) "I don't think you're the only one!" Bastet said
(At the museum, the PJ Explorider drove to a stop near the entrance of the gates as Ice Cub parked the Ice Dasher near it, the two groups got down from the vehicles and walked towards the fountain where the podium in the middle of it is being rebuilt from what happened last night.)
"We don't know where Owlette is, but we can't stop until…" (hears a screeching sound with a red wave nearly knocking him and the others down. After standing back up, he noticed his emblem was glowing like last night.) "Owlette's in that state again, if we can find where she is, we can…" Gekko didn't finish
"Gekko!" (gets Gekko's attention for him to see it's happening to her, Ice Cub and Lilyfay as well.) "I think it's more than just you!" An Yu said
(At the canal, Carly and Cartoka were in the Flashcar as they made a turn stopping near a car, the Speedy Twins jumped out and ran towards the car only for Newton Star to fly in out of nowhere stopping the two in their tracks.)
"Not so fast, don't think you two are gonna take any parts from the vehicles to…" (hears a screeching sound with a red wave nearly knocking him and the Speedy Twins down. After getting his stance back, he noticed his medal was glowing, making him confused.) "What the…" Newton Star said
"Seems that odd wave is messing with your powers." Cartoka said
(looks down at her emblem to see it was glowing as well, but a different color.) "Uh, I don't think it was the powers." Carly said
(as the screeching continued, the glow on each of their emblems kept going until the glow flashed around them, at the playground, a blue, orange and brown flash appeared until it went down for Cat Stripe King to jump over the fence and run down the street with Catboy hanging on tight on his back as a feline similar to Cat Stripe King and a big ball with Armadylan's armor following behind with Armadylan and Bastet hanging on as well. At the museum, a green, red, white and light blue flash appeared until it went down for Power Lizard to climb over the wall and run down the street with Gekko hanging on tight on his back as a red dragon, white butterfly and an ice armor polar bear followed behind with An Yu, Lilyfay and Ice Cub hanging on as well. At the canal, a yellow and light green flash appeared until it went down for a big horse and a green t-rex to run past Cartoka and down a street with Newton and Carly hanging on tight.)
"That never happens on Zoomzania!" Cartoka shouted in panic
(Back in the park, Owlette was still screeching as the Lunar Knight held his ground while Luna Girl and Motsuki were hanging onto the edge of the cat flap until Owlette leaned forward, ending her screeching for the Lunar Knight, Luna Girl and Motsuki to regain their footing as Owlette just kneeled where she is. But when the Lunar Knight was about to walk towards Owlette, all the animals that appeared during the screech, entered the park with the ones their part of to fall off as the animals surrounded the Lunar Knight as he was shocked to see them.)
"It can't be!" (sees the orange feline prowl on a tree.) "Blazing Cheetah!" (ducks from the white butterfly zooming over.) "Cosmic Flyer!" (rolls out of the way from the big ball rolling through and lands near the bridge, unrolling itself.) "Rolling Smasher!" (turns to see the ice armor polar bear standing on its hind legs, roaring at him.) "Frost Breaker!" (jumps back from the horse galloping around the spot.) "Astrol Stallion!" (holds his arms up from the red dragon breathing fire at him.) "Flame Striker!" (steps back from the green t-rex stomping over, roaring at him.) "Dino Stomper!" (about to run towards Owlette only to see Cat Stripe King and Power Lizard stand next to her.) "Cat Stripe King! Power Lizard!" (looks towards Owlette to see her lift her head up revealing her eyes glowing wildly red realizing who is fused with her.) "Eagle Owl!" the Lunar Knight said
"Time to be a hero!" Owlette/Eagle Owl echoed
(As the Lunar Knight pulled out a sword to attack, Owlette/Eagle Owl lets out another screech to knock the knight back for Astrol Stallion to hoof kick him into the air giving Cosmic Flyer the shot to blast a ray of stars at him, knocking the knight towards the ground for Blazing Cheetah to grab the knight by the cape and fling him across the area as Rolling Smasher rolled over and rammed the knight back into the air for Flame Striker to blast fire at him, as he neared the ground, Dino Stomper charged forward and rammed the knight back into where it all started as Cat Stripe King and Power Lizard ran over and began to battle the Lunar Knight as he swung his sword around to deflect their attacks until Owlette/Eagle spread her cape as it glowed while the rip on it disappeared and started to float in place a bit, the Lunar Knight was about to strike only for Owlette/Eagle Owl to fly towards him in just a second with her fist stretched out, hitting him in the face, launching him towards PJ HQ and stops near it, Luna Girl and Motsuki saw what happened and teleported away. The Lunar Knight stood back up and looked towards Owlette/Eagle Owl and the animals, revealing the right side of his helmet so cracked, his eye revealed showing his iris to be purple. He saw all the animals surrounding him with Owlette/Eagle Owl in the middle still in the state she's in ready to strike, only for the Lunar Knight to sheath his sword which confused the animals.)
"You have passed the test, well done." (Owlette/Eagle Owl slowly floated down until she was standing on the ground with her cape still wavering.) "But just so you know, there are still tests to come before you face the great disaster. I can't tell you what the tests are, it's for you to find out. I am sorry for lying to your friends about you becoming a threat." the Lunar Knight said
(Owlette's suit began to turn back to normal as the Lunar Knight held out a small purple ball and dropped it onto the ground for a puff of purple smoke to spread across the park, but when the smoke went down, the Lunar Knight was gone. Owlette was shocked from completing the test as she saw all the animals that aided her, she let out a smile from seeing them until they began to glow and turned into small wisps and returned into the emblems of the ones that held them in which Carly stumbled a bit from it.)
"More tests to come, I'll be ready for them." Owlette said
"Owlette…" (startles Owlette from behind, making her worried about what he and the others are about to do.) we're sorry for what we did when he lied to us about you." Gekko said
"We didn't mean for any of that to happen." An Yu said
"It's okay guys, I guess that knight did it to make the test more convincing." Owlette said
"And to think, we all have a PJ Animal with us." Catboy said
(Just then, Owlette's emblem began to glow bright making everyone cover their eyes as Carly hid behind a tree from it until a ray of light shot up from Owlette's emblem and into space, the ray of light continued upwards until it hit Space Q and enveloped it in light, when it did, Space Q became bigger showing it to have twelve ports in it with different colors. After the light went down, Owlette stumbled a bit from what happened while the others were shocked from what they saw as a small sparkle of light flew down from space and land on PJ HQ for a huge ray of light to envelope it, after a few seconds, PJ HQ had gained a new design like Space Q, but different. PJ HQ was still in the middle of the moat while seven turrets were around it with the animal symbol for each one.)
"What just happened?" Armadylan asked
"PJ HQ and Space Q got an upgrade." Bastet said
"New powers, new heroes, new villains." Ice Cub said
"And whatever we have in the newly designed Space Q, it's gonna be astonishing." Newton Star said
(whispering.) "This is big." Carly whispered (sneaks away to keep from getting involved.)
"This is outer galactic!" Lilyfay shouted
"And with all that happened, these new villains won't know what's coming. PJ Masks, all shout hooray…" Owlette started
"Cause in the night, we saved the day!" the PJ Masks shouted
Daytime
(Amaya was sitting on a bench close to the bridge where PJ HQ is back to normal during the day while writing something down in a notebook as Connor and Greg came over and sat down next to her.)
"Hey Amaya, what'cha drawing?" Connor asked
"Just the things that happened last night," (holds her notebook out for Connor and Greg to see and saw on page was their newly upgraded PJ HQ and the other being her new power at night.) "I wanted to make them so we can remember them." Amaya said
"That new power of yours is really cool, what is it called?" Greg asked
"I'm not sure, I didn't say anything when it happened." Amaya said
"It sounded like a screech when you used it, so why not call it the Super Owl Screech?" Connor asked
"Even if I couldn't say it, it's a good name." Amaya said
"Especially now that the whole team got PJ Animals, come on! Let's head to the Library, Newton's waiting for us there!" Greg said (jumps off the bench and runs ahead.)
(jumps off the bench and follows Greg.) "Wait up, Greg!" Connor shouted
"You guys go on ahead, I'll catch up." Amaya said
(When Connor and Greg were out of range, Amaya looked around to see if anyone is looking then jumped off the bench and ran over to PJ HQ, she then hid in the shadow and sat down while holding her notebook, she opened it back up and flipped back to a page revealing it to be the Lunar Knight, one side of the knight before getting the crack on the right side of the helmet and the other side after getting the crack. Amaya looked at the drawing with a puzzled look wondering what the Lunar Knight's secret identity is.)
