Author's Note: Before anyone asks, no, I don't like the Halo TV show. Oh, if anyone asks, I am addressing Nezu as a doctor, I figure it fits more than just Principle Nezu. Warning, this is a bit of an exposition dump, sorry if it's a bit Halo lore heavy. There's actually a good handful of Halo lore easter eggs if you want to try and find them.
For anyone wondering which versions of the Halo weapons I am using, just picture the Halo 2A versions save for the assault rifle, magnum, shotgun, sniper rifle, and beam rifle. The assault rifle and magnum will be from Halo CEA and the other three are the Halo 3 versions.

U.A. High School, Japan,
Shoto Aizawa,
AKA: The Eraser Hero: Eraser Head,
4 days since incident,
…[]
Gathered in a conference room seated at the table were All Might, Endeavor, Miruko, Eraserhead, Midnight, Hawks, Death Arms, an elderly nurse like hero, and a hero with blue hair wearing what looked like the shovel end of a digger on his head. At one end of the table was U.A. 's headmaster, Dr. Nezu, and opposing him were a projector screen and projector. Also attending virtually were other Heroes that included Ryukyu, Gang Orca, Snipes, and Best Jeanist. They were currently waiting on the last of their experts to arrive. The door suddenly opens and in walks the renowned scientist and inventor, Dr. David Shield followed closely by a man in a pressed US Army dress uniform, followed lastly by another hero joining the call virtually.
Nezu stands up and introduces their new arrivals "Ladies and gentlemen, Dr. David Shield, the Ninja Hero Edgeshot, and the representative from the US Army Research Laboratory Colonel John Misriah, and Edgeshot. Thank you all for joining us."
They all politely greeted the headmaster before taking their seats at the table.
Nezu turns back to everyone and announces "Thank you all for coming, now we can begin."
He turns to Earserhead and gives him a nod. Eraserhead walks up and pulls down the projector sheet and turns on the projector. Death Arms began passing around copies of the report while he plugged in the computer.
"For those of you who were there, a lot of this information should seem a bit familiar to you but I ask you to still pay attention. The goal from the information we've gathered is the hope that we will at least give you a better understanding of the events that transpired a few days ago…Lights please."
With the lights in the room turned off, and with his slide clicker/laser pointer in hand, Aizawa began the briefing.
"Let me first preface this by saying that everything we are about to discuss here has been deemed top secret and only those present now are authorized to view this for the time being. As you all know, at 8:10 PM, four days ago, Tokyo, Japan was attacked by an unknown military force."
"Aliens," Hawks scoffs, "You can just say aliens."
Eraserhead gives him a glare quickly shutting him up before continuing.
"The attack was incredibly catastrophic, and we're still counting the dead and wounded. The question of whether or not we're alone in the universe has been answered and unfortunately, it's not the one the people wanted. The Prime Minister is going to address the nation tomorrow."
Endeavor growls. "This is all stuff we already know, just to get to the point."
"The point is that we were caught with our pants down by a hostile company sized alien force and they managed to run a muck for a full hour before they were put down. We were attacked by a total of four different alien races and there wasn't anything our local law enforcement and heroes could do to stop them before reinforcements arrived."
Midnight asks "How's the public taking it?"
Aizawa dons a blank look and replies "About as bad as you can expect. Just pick up any B-grade alien invasion movie and you've got the general idea."
"Great," Hawks unenthusiastically moans.
He pressed a key on the laptop and a helmetless photo of the person they'd met during the incident was projected onto the screen.
"This is Petty Officer 2nd Class Samuel 034. He was the first to appear in Tokyo before being closely followed by the aliens. He knew exactly how to handle them and actually managed to hold off a number of them before reinforcements arrived."
Gang Orca was the next to ask "No surname?"
"What he gave us was what he gave us, he's either not willing to share it or he himself actually doesn't know it. As far as we know, he doesn't legally exist. Requests were put in for governments across the globe to see if someone like him existed, but they all came up with nothing. The guy is basically a ghost. Knowing that and the incident that occurred, several countries are now demanding that we hand him over to the UN in order to handle his case. They also demanded we hand over all the equipment and technology that was confiscated in the aftermath of the battle."
"Of course, as things are right now, that is not going to happen," Nezu announces. "He cooperated with the authorities and heroes to deal with the major threat, as well as assisted in the evacuation of civilians who were trapped in the crossfire, and he stayed until the very end to assist in the clean up. He even willingly surrendered himself into custody once things were over and allowed himself to be debriefed by us."
The next question was asked by the Dragon Heroine, Ryukyu.
"So, who exactly is he?
Aizawa was never one to dance around a topic, he ultimately decided it was best to just tell them bluntly what was going on.
"When he introduced himself, he mentioned being a part of the UNSC Navy Special Forces. When we further pressed him, he told us he was a Spartan 2 commando."
"It's been a little bit since I've met with the UN Council, I don't recall the United Nations having that kind of unit," All Might comments.
"It's because they don't. Most of what we asked was brushed off and deemed classified by him, but he did allow basic access to his personal datapad. One of the files included was a codex and a basic history of where he came, starting with his organization, the United Nations Space Command. I checked the date on his datapad and it read the first of December, 2525. I even had analysts go over it to confirm whether or not it had been tampered with. That is indeed the correct date."
"You're kidding…" Hawks murmured in disbelief, voicing what everyone had thought, "He's from the future?"
Most of the assembled staff who weren't at the event and heroes all wore looks of varying skepticism and disbelief.
"Another dimension actually," Aizawa stated bluntly, "The aliens too."
Silence. Followed by soft chuckling from some of the heroes. Unsurprisingly, the only heroes not laughing were the heroes that were present at the battle. Though they were all still skeptical, they were still willing to hear the underground hero out.
"The histories of the two humanities deviated at some point in the late 21st Century," Aizawa explains, "While we developed quirks and he came from a reality where that never happened. According to his codex, we should have colonized the moon, Mars, and most of the Jovian Moons by now. Oh, and they had discovered faster than light travel towards the end of this century. Clearly you can see that isn't the case for our version of humanity."
Quickly seeing where this was heading, Nezu decides to try and get everyone back on track.
"Suffice to say, that difference led to a serious difference in technology and equipment. Especially when it came to the equipment that he used and that of the aliens."
"Colonel," Aizawa softly called out to the uniformed officer and the man made his way up front, stopping to the right of the projector.
"Hello, as your headmaster said, I am Colonel John Misriah. If you recall, the cleanup of the attack was ultimately split between the respective governments of Japan and the United States. UA the armor and the sailor himself, I-Island got the alien weapons as well as most of their secondary requirements, and the human weapons went to both the ARL as well as the Army Corp of Engineers."
"I'm surprised you Americans didn't just take everything for yourselves," Endeavor said with some amount of disdain.
"The thought did cross the minds of my superiors, but ultimately it was decided that it would be better to try and maintain relations between our respective groups," Misriah explains. Suddenly wearing a more concerned look, he adds "The army does things differently from the government agencies, we don't cut ties with our allies as soon as we get what we want. Especially after recent news.
The Heroes looked around as they all were reaching the same conclusion. The officer then confirms it.
"Containment was broken, and some of the alien tech was stolen."
Everyone looks amongst each other as they all come to the same conclusion. The flaming hero could even be heard chidding under his breath.
"Typical."
Best Jeanist asks "What exactly was stolen?"
"We don't have a full list yet, but we know for certain that we are unable to account for a number of alien firearms, shielding gauntlets, and other pieces of secondary equipment. Given the abrupt nature of it all no consolidatory list has yet to be made, however the CIA has been observing communications and found them moving through these countries…"
To be perfectly honest, trying to contain and account for all the tech and left over equipment was close to impossible. It was inevitable that something was going to get through. A map was displayed on the screen, giving the full list of countries that had come into ownership of the tech.
"Russian, China, Iran, Pakistan, and North Korea were the only ones we could officially confirm. There are also a number of third party groups that managed to get their hands on the stuff and are currently selling it on the black market. We have no idea where they're going and we have no way of tracing them. What we do know is that every one of those groups are currently trying to reverse engineer the technology they have in their possession as we speak."
The Symbol of Peace could be heard murmuring.
"If weapons like these actually manage to go into production…"
"When, not if,"Misriah stated, "If countries start producing this; criminals and villains will be the least of your worries. We're looking at an arms race on a scale that hasn't been seen in our lifetime, we could be seeing a Cold War on the scale of the nuclear arms race back in the 1960s. After the Second Quirk war, better known now as World War 3; we actually managed to postpone another world war by at least a century. A brand new arms race could be just motivation to set everyone off."
It was definitely a sobering thought that they had to come to terms with. Almost everyone in that room had seen first hand what the Covenant had managed to do with what little they had. Their thoughts soon turned to various militaries and villain groups outfitting their forces with said weapons. They couldn't even begin to imagine how catastrophic a war what a war with them would be like.
"As of now, this has been deemed an international crisis and a threat to world peace. We need to make sure that our heroes are going to be able to deal with the inevitable escalation as well as conflict with other nations," Nezu lectures. "There is also the underlying threat of another hostile alien encounter."
Misriah nods to Dr. Shields as he takes the lead of the presentation as the slides change to pictures of the four alien races that were encountered that night.
"We were able to communicate with the companion that came with the Spartan, a seemingly friendly alien by the name of 'Bobs a Little,' from him, we were able to learn about the four primary species of the alien group that map up their group, a religious hegemony he calls, The Covenant."
He pulls out a laser pointer as he moves to the next slide and aims it at a runt-like alien that wore a triangle shaped metal backpack.
"The Unggoy, which we've designated as Grunts. They make up the backbone of their forces and serve as canon fodder. Individually, they are absolute cowards, but they become a lot more confident in groups. It's because of this, the Covenant tend to deploy them in wave attacks as cannon fodder. Additionally, they seem to have a particular disposition for explosives, particularly grenades. Reports from the battle recalled the grunts just chucking a seemingly endless supply of them."
The pointer moved to the next image which was of a feathered and scaly avian like alien.
"The Kig-Yar, or Jackals. They serve a similar position as Grunts and are deployed in waves to overwhelm enemy forces. They possess these energy shield gauntlets that can soak up an incredible amount of punishment. There were reports that a single shield jackal managed to hold off against the sustained rifle fire from a squad of SWAT officers. They also are used as scouting and reconnaissance roles and have also been found to be quite the prolific sharpshooters. I'll elaborate more when we go over their weapons later."
The slide changes to the tall saurian looking aliens.
"The Sangheili. They serve in leadership roles and are the brains and directing authority of each individual squad. They're huge; average height ranges from 1.8 to 2.4 meters, weigh in at 325 kilos, and are also incredibly strong. It's because of this, we have named them Elites. They also possess energy shields, but unlike Jackals, it is wrapped around their armor and are invisible until impacted by a projectile. The strength of the shields vary depending on the rank of the elite which is represented by the color of their armor: blue being the weakest, and gold being the strongest."
The final slide was that of the pair of blue, giant, armored creatures.
"The Lekgolo, or Mgalekgolo for plural. This creature is actually a getlate, a large form made up of a colony of worms working in unison. From what we understand, the Covenant depoys them as a type of heavy shock infantry. They are deployed in pairs known as bond brothers, and are incredibly aggressive and relentless; refusing to stop until either them or their target is dead. For this reason we have designated them as Hunters."
The memory of the orange blooded worms made a few of the heroes shrivel up as they recalled bits of the creatures still squirming around after the things had been supposedly killed.
"They are simply massive creatures, when standing up, they are 3.6 ms tall and weigh in at five metric tonnes. They are armed with a built in heavy cannon that fires a green bolt of radioactive incendiary gel with some rather breathtaking anti armor and anti personal capabilities. On the other arm sits a massive shield that the Hunter is able to crouch down behind and use as cover. We currently are unable to determine what materials of the shield or the armor are made of as they are both made from materials that don't appear on the periodic table. What we do know is that it is capable of taking an astonishing amount of punishment, these things are literally walking tanks."
With a push of a button, a video begins being played of one of the Mgalekgolo in action. As the JSDF convoy had just arrived to offload its passengers, one of the soldiers managed to record a video of their encounter. The hunter charges up its assault cannon and the Type 96 APC directly behind the lead explodes in a shower of green fire. In one move, the hunter had just effectively closed off the road cutting the convoy completely off from the street while stranding the soldiers in the lead vehicle.
The remaining APC begins to engage the hunter with its mounted .50 caliber heavy machine gun. The crew watch in horror as the armor piercing rounds simply bounce off the massive shield without leaving so much as a scratch. In a single move of desperation, the driver of the APC slams their foot down on the throttle and attempts to run over the giant creature. The hunter chose not to fire, it instead stared down the driver as the vehicle charged towards it. The hunter side steps the vehicle right before it could collide and as the APC passes, the hunter shifts its weight and bats it aside with the shield. The 14 ts vehicle was hit with enough force that it actually flipped over onto its side before exploding as the Hunter fired the cannon once more.
As the video ends, Nezu blankly remarks "Quite the charming cast of characters."
"More like a charming cast of freaks," Miruko sarcastically mutters under her breath.
"You said that you heard this from the other alien," asks Ryukyu, "The one that the Spartan brought with him?"
The slide is changed to a photo of Bobs a Little, a floating sort of blue and purple colored squid.
"His species are called Huragock, the Covenant colloquially call them Engineers. They are a race of biological supercomputers who's main desire is to just run around and fix things. They serve largely non combat and support roles. What they're able to do is amazing."
Powerloader plays a video he recorded of the Engineer in the support department. The heroes watched in amazement as the creature curiously explored all the devices around him. There were few shocked gasps as the little alien went to each piece of equipment and proceeded to disassemble them down to the last screw only to assemble them back together in a matter of seconds.
"Is it dangerous?"
"No."
It was a Powerloader who had answered Gang Orca this time.
"The Covenant treated his species as a slave race, so he has no loyalties to them. It appears though, his loyalty does seem to rely solely on the Spartan as it was unwilling to share any information on the soldier without his expressed permission."
"I want to know more about weapons that we may be facing," Endeavor interrupts, "There's no signs of the aliens returning, but the weapons will proliferate regardless."
A number of the Heroes nodded and murmured in agreement with him.
"Very well, then we should first begin with the weapons that the sailor had. As a sign of good faith, he handed over the technical manuals relevant to their respective weapons. We've decided that since his weaponry actually resembles ours, it would help give us a rough baseline for when we compare them to Covenant weaponry later on. The Colonel has decided to only go over a few of them due to time constraints. I doubt you need to go over every gun we found just to get the idea."
Dr. Shield hands the laser pointer back to Misriah and the slide changes once more. The first images were that of the rifle that was in Sam's hands, only in different configurations.
"This is the MA5B Individual Combat Weapons System. It is an automatic, gas-operated, select fire rifle that serves as the UNSC's main front line service rifle, that would be an assault rifle for civilians. This is the rifle every service member is required to know how to shoot and operate at a competent level. What's surprising about this rifle is that it is chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO."
Snipe, the Hero who effectively knew the most about guns, interjected "Those rounds today, are still used almost exclusively by snipers and machine-gunners. You're telling me that this UNSC uses them in their standard service rifles?"
"Correct."
The gun slinging hero could already see where this was headed and decided to simply ask "What's different about this round that they used it to completely replace intermediate cartridges such as the 5.56 and then later the 6.8?"
"The US Army currently uses M80 Ball ammunition as our standard. That round specifically has a weight of 395 grains, in comparison, their round only weighs in at 152 grains."
"Wait what?"
That had gotten Snipes's attention.
"That's less than half the weight!" he shudders in disbelief.
"That's right," the Army Colonel nods, "You can see this with almost everything the UNSC has. Their munitions are either significantly lighter than today's counterpart, or they're significantly more powerful. By usage of denser materials, and a different powder compositions, they have created a round that is the same exact dimensions as a 7.62 round today, but it flies faster, hits harder, penetrates twice as much armor, and is also both more accurate and has a longer effective range."
"And the ammo counter?" Snipes continues, "How do they fire their rifles accurately without it getting in the way."
"Well, from what we understand, all UNSC soldiers have a HUD system in their helmets that is automatically zeroed to their rifle, but if for whatever reason they can't use their HUD, the rifle has flip-up iron-sights, sadly those still have to be zeroed manually. Also, it's important to note that the iron sights are at the same height as a rifle with a carry handle. It's most likely that UNSC service members are required to be able to qualify with iron-sights first before they can qualify with their HUD."
"And how modular is the rifle?"
"As you probably guessed, the ammo counter and flash light are in the standard configuration, but as seen here…."
The next slide shown had an MA5B rifle but without the flashlight and ammo counter.
"The rifle has a picatinny rails system as well as a threaded barrel that should allow a UNSC service member to modify his rifle to whatever the mission may require. No different from any rifle our militaries use."
He pauses to take a breath before continuing.
"The UNSC tends to have their rifles in the bullpup configuration where the rounds are loaded behind the trigger rather than in front. Now, the standard magazine holds thirty-two rounds, but the mags he had loaded held sixty. Combined with an incredibly high rate of fire of 900 rounds per minute, this thing is basically a pocket machine gun."
"There's no way that can be light," Snipes murmurs, "And with a rate of fire like that, there's no way it can be that accurate of a rifle either, let alone be reasonably controllable."
"That's where you're wrong actually. The rifle only weighs three and a half kilograms empty."
As Power Loader starts handing out more papers as Misriah pulls up ballistic data.
"It's clear that the UNSC have made serious advantages in material fabrication, metallurgy, and engineering. The felt recoil of the rifle is no different than that of an M16's."
The officer pulls up a brief video showing an ordinary US infantryman with the MA5B. The soldier, in the standing position proceeded to fire the gun fully automatic down range into an empty barrel until the magazine ran dry.
"At full automatic, the soldier was able to keep the majority of rounds on target at 50 ms. He reported that the thing was easy to control when asked. He was able to accurately fire bursts up to 300 ms and even maintained an accurate and tight grouping well out to 500 ms when firing on semi."
That caught Snipes off guard as well when he went over the data.
"All on iron sights?!" he asks incredulously.
"Yes, and when we attached a standard ACOG, he easily made shots at 700 ms and further. We also put it through a your standard torture test: mud, sand, water, we even poured water over and left it out in the snow to freeze over. The rifle just never quit."
"That's amazing," he breathes.
"It's as if the designers took notes and lessons from the most successful rifle platforms in history and integrated them into one platform," Power Loader comments.
On the next slide, the photo was of a simply massive pistol with a small hump at the front.
"This is the M6D Magnum. It fires a 12.7x40 mm semi-armor-piercing-high-explosive magnum cartridge. Standard issue mags normally hold eight, and the ones he had are currently loaded with mags that hold twelve."
With a blank, deadpanned look, Snipes plainly states "It's a .50 caliber pistol."
"Yes, the bulge on the end of the barrel is a rangefinder that syncs to a 2x scope linked to the user's helmet, and yes, it is also removable and has back-up iron sights."
"That's…almost comically large," Midnight murmurs.
"It's heavy too," Misriah noted, "Weighs 2.2 kgs empty."
"Is this a one off weapon?"
Misraih shook his head and replied "No, this is the standard issue sidearm of the UNSC."
Snipes looks over to the officer and rhetorically asks "Should I even bother asking?"
"We think it is also able to be used as a PDW instead of just a sidearm. The soldier did complain about the weight, but also gave praise to the weapon's precision, accuracy, handling, and reliability. Turns out the weight actually helps as he described the recoil on semi as no different than that of an M1911."
Snipes was almost ready to write it off until he heard that last sentence.
"Wait…semi?" he nervously asks.
"It has a select-fire switch that allows it to fire fully automatic."
There was a visible eye twitch on the hero as he tried to process what he was just told. What on Earth would ever require a fully automatic .50 caliber pistol.
"The effective range is 50ms and the scope extends that 100 ms. The soldier said full auto was a lot of fun, but it was pretty much useless beyond 10 ms. Safe to say fully automatic is pretty much used exclusively for close quarters.
A glance and a hum are shared between Miruko and Hawks as they quickly reach the same conclusion.
"I want one of those," Miruko firmly states.
"Me too," Hawks nodded while childishly raising his hand.
The two heroes made Endeavor scoff and scowl at their immaturity. Misriah chose not to acknowledge them and instead moved on to the Spartan's massive sniper rifle.
"This is the SRS99C-S2 anti-material rifle. This rifle weighs in at a whopping 15kgs."
"I'm assuming this is meant to be used as a crew served weapon?" asks Snipes.
"Technically it is. It's actually common practice to break the rifle up into multiple parts whenever the sniper team may need to move over rough terrain. What's funny is that this is actually the lighter variant, the older models weigh a full 5 kgs more."
Snipes, at this point had given up trying to contemplate why the UNSC would need such massive weapons and could be seen pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Just…" he sighs deeply, "Let me guess, it can penetrate tank armor."
"Yes."
The next slide showed two massive bullets larger than a person's thumb.
"The rifle fires 14.5x114 mm cartridges. There are two known variants of this specific cartridge that the sailor had on him. The left is a depleted uranium armor-piercing-fin-stabilized-discarding-sabot, and the one on the right is high-velocity-armor-piercing, also depleted uranium."
Power Loader chimes in "For those wondering, the APFSDS type rounds are almost exclusively used by tanks."
"I have seen first hand what a .50 BMG round can do," comments All Might, "How much more powerful are these?"
"The APFSDS penetrated over a meter of concrete at 800 ms. The sniper who tested the HVAP rounds was able to take out human sized targets out as far as 2000 ms."
With the laser pointer, Misriah points at the unusual block shaped scope mounted on the rifle.
"The scope on the sniper has a rather sophisticated computer built into it. Through the rangefinder; the rifle is able to gather data on the different variables that a sniper may have to account for. These include distance, elevation, wind speed, humidity, and if far enough out, the Coriolis effect. With the data gathered, the scope then calculates the most likely bullet path and projects the path prediction to the user. The scope also has the ability to switch between day time vision, night vision, infrared, and thermals at the push of a button."
"Does the computer remove the need for a spotter?" asks Snipes.
"No, not completely. Even though a sniper technically is capable of fully operating the weapon on their own, it is still common practice for a sniper to have a spotter. Though it is close, it's not a 100% accurate shot prediction, the spotter is there to mainly confirm the data with his own equipment."
"And this is only from three weapons?" asks Best Jeanist.
"Yes and you can imagine how powerful the personal energy shields of the Sangheili were, especially the higher ranking ones. One of the white armored ones took two rounds to put him down."
"You think you'd be able to tank that kind of hit?" Death Arms asks All Might.
"It's difficult to tell," the number one hero murmurs back, "I've definitely shrugged off harder hits than that, but there's a difference between a blunt strike versus a piercing one. Either way, it's not a theory I want to test."
"Alright, now tell us about the alien weapons, those are the ones being passed around, so they should be our priority," growls Endeavor.
"Dr. Shields?"
The blonde, American inventor gives him a nod and walks up to the board.
"The Covenant weaponry consists mostly of superheated plasma. The temperature of an individual bolt sits at-"
"3,000 degrees celsius," Endeavor finishes and Dr. Shields nods in affirmation. "They feel as hot as my Prominence Burn."
"Personal armor is completely useless and armored vehicles don't fare that much better as the bolts can easily melt through any armor that isn't as thick as a tank's. An unarmored target is basically a death sentence if shot in the chest."
"If you remember…"
Dr. Shield's points to the elderly nurse and then to the heros.
"All of you had to be hosed down by hazmat crews after the battle."
That made some of the heroes shift uncomfortably as they recalled being exposed and vulnerable and scrubbed down like an animal.
"There were also numerous patients being treated for radiation related injuries."
All the heroes went stiff upon hearing the report.
"Wait… it was radioactive?!" balks a distraught Miruko.
Recovery Girl, sensing the distress, quickly intervened.
"All of you have a clean bill of health!" she calmly reassured, "You're all clean."
That made them calm down substantially, but they still all wore rather concerned looks on their faces.
"It was the plasma that gave off the radiation."
The flaming hero stated more than asked.
"Yes," Dr. Shields answers, "Covenant plasma gives off beta radiation. Luckily, we don't have a lot of cases of inhalation or ingestion where beta radiation is at its most harmful, but basically everyone needed to be treated for radiation burns. We're still working on everyone that was exposed."
Hawks could feel a bead of sweat drip down his head as he asks "We're not going to get cancer are we?"
The Recovery Girl shook her head.
"Luckily there's no one here that was exposed to enough radiation to cause that kind of damage, but there were others that weren't so lucky." She lets out a sad sigh before she adds "We can expect the fatalities to climb in the coming weeks and months."
The slide changes to a photo showing one of the strange green, 'C' shaped pistols.
"We've designated this as the plasma pistol," Misriah lectured. "There's still a lot that we are learning. We've hypothesized so far that the green coloration of the plasma is most likely due to a different gas mixture being ionized. One thing we've found was that the weapon also releases large amounts of electromagnetic radiation on top of the beta rays. The weapon actually allows for a user to charge up on a single bolt where high amounts of both beta and electromagnetic radiation are pooled. When fired, the bolt is able to generate a magnetic field which locks onto whatever target is closest to it and creates a localized emp which knocks out any electronic device within a small area."
A video of the battle plays and the camera spots a police helicopter inbound to the site. The camera pans over and watches as a Jackal steps into frame and charges up its plasma pistol. The bolt shot off into the sky like a flare and the helicopter tried to make evasive maneuvers. It was to no avail as a green bolt slammed into the side of the helicopter and the engine was immediately cut. To the officers on the ground, the helicopter just simply fell out of the sky.
"This is the last weapon we wanted to go over. We've dubbed it as the particle beam rifle, or just the beam rifle for short."
The last weapon was a strange triangular shaped rifle that had glowing purple parts that ran along the length of the gun.
Dr. Shields replies "Unlike the plasma weaponry from earlier, this weapon is technically a projectile weapon. It fires an ionized particle beam at a velocity of over 3,000 m/s. It's not as fast as light, but that fact is ultimately irrelevant when it can hit any target instantly within its 2 km effective range."
Misriah adds "The weapon is also almost completely silent and has a negligible muzzle signature. At the same time; gravity, distance, and wind have close to zero effect on it. It can't penetrate as much armor as the SRS 99, but it is made up of the near instant time to target and a similar damage output. It even causes radiation damage upon impact so even just glancing blows which will be fatal overtime if the victim is treated."
"I remember those," Hawks murmured as he recalled his encounter.
"I flew in with five JSDF helicopters and we were supposed to provide air cover for the convoy. The helicopters never made it. We were barely a kilometer out before these bright purple beams just cut through us faster than a hot knife through butter. They were literally sniping the pilots out of their seats on a few of them. They barely grazed me, I could only get in close enough to drop off Endeavor before I needed to pull out."
"And Sierra 034?"
It was Endeavor who spoke this time.
"Their weapons were this powerful, what about him? He managed to shrug off multiple direct hits and keep fighting on."
"He didn't just fight them off, he kicked their asses," Miruko comments.
"Either way, he must have a very strong quirk in order to accomplish what he did that night."
There was a pause as Aizawa swallowed a lump in his throat.
He hesitantly looked around at everyone before saying "He….doesn't have one."
The room went silent as all the heroes processed what they were just told. The heroes who actually witnessed the Spartan's fighting first hand knew that there was no way that a normal person could have done what he did. It was Hawks that ultimately voiced their thoughts.
"That's impossible!" the Flaming Hero angrily denies.
The Flaming Hero immediately went into denial. No, there was no way he was saved by a quirkless person. His brows furrows and his fists clench as the thought passes through his mind. He outright refused to believe he was saved by something that weak.
"Those Hunters were strong enough to flip over an APC and I saw him literally box with one before ripping off its HEAD! There is NO possible way for a quirkless person to be able to accomplish what he did."
"You forget that he's from a universe where none of that exists?" Miruko snarks. She smirks as the man shoots a glare over to her.
"As much as I hate to agree with him," Miruko could feel herself gritting her teeth as she said that. "I actually got to see him fight off that group of Elites before the Hunters showed up. It was all over in ten seconds and he was literally punching holes through some of them. There are very few people on this planet that are able to hit as hard as he did or even move remotely as fast as he did."
"I literally watched him get batted across the street by a full swing from a Hunter's shield and he just walked it off like it was nothing," Hawks added.
Midnight was the last one to share their observations on the Spartan.
"And we watched him in that sword fight. We all saw the injuries he had, and he was in without a doubt, a serious amount of pain. I rode with him on the truck to UA and he never made a sound."
"If he really is from another universe, one without quirks, how was he able to do the things he did?" Endeavor growls.
"His abilities aren't natural, are they?" asks a greatly concerned All Might.
Earserhead nods.
"Is he involved in this?"
"No, it's not All For One," Nezu quickly tells him. "I can guarantee that."
The headmaster's words had managed to calm some of the nerves of the Symbol of Peace, but it still raised a lot of questions.
"What are you talking about?" asks Endeavor, "You're telling us someone artificially gave him quirks?"
"Not exactly."
Eraserhead stepped aside for Death Arms and Recovery Girl to present their part. Recovery Girl started first.
"What are they then?" asks Gang Orca.
"They aren't quirks in the traditional sense seeing as he came from a time and place where quirks never developed," she explains. "What his abilities are, are a group of biological augmentations and enhancements which gives him a set of superhuman quirk like abilities."
"What, like some kind of cyborg?" Miruko skeptically asks.
"In a sense, yes."
That caught their attention as Recovery Girl continued her part of the presentation.
"First, Samuel 034 has a height of 224 cms and weighs 154 kgs. He's actually more than double the weight of what an average person his age should be."
"He's almost as big as you All Might," Hawks chuckles.
"Eh," Miruko shrugs, "Maybe in height, but he's still off by what, a hundred kilograms? That and All Might is also a lot bulkier."
"Hey!" All Might jokingly protests, "I'll have you know I actually lost weight."
This briefly causes some of the heroes to have a light chuckle.
"He looks rather young," Ryukyu comments, "How old is he again?"
There was a pause before Death Arms answered.
"Fourteen."
"What?" Midnight balks in disbelief.
Endeavor was in a similar state of disbelief, not only was the Spartan technically quirkless, but he had been essentially rescued by a child. He quickly found himself becoming enraged once again at the thought of such a disgrace but he remained silent as deep down, he knew there was more to the story than just that.
"We don't have a lot of information on him," informed Aizawa, "He was clearly aware of them but he had adamantly refused to even tell us a scrap of detail on the nature of his abilities or how he got them. We chose not to press him further as it was clearly an incredibly sensitive topic for him and we didn't want any animosity between us. What we have though, is a set of data we had managed to gather on his physical attributes and athletic abilities."
"First, his muscle tissue, fibers, and tendons are much denser than what would have been normal for someone who didn't have a strength or speed quirk. This makes him stronger and faster than even life-long career Olympic athletes."
Death Arms steps forward as it was him who ran the performance tests on Sam.
"As a result, he can currently lift at least three times his body weight," Death Arms, "He was able to easily deadlift 500 kgs and was able to maintain a top running speed of 55 km/h. I actually believe he is more than capable of pushing much further barring risk of injury."
The next slide was a top down cross section of the brain that had the blood vessels traveling to the eyes highlighted.
"There is also a significantly higher increase in blood flow to the eyes, as well as a much higher count of both rods and cones, finally, the eyes' organic lenses have been swapped out with mechanical ones. This allows him to be able to see in near perpetual darkness, see finer levels of details, can detect much more subtle movements, and has a much more enhanced color contrast compared to a normal eye. When conducting a vision test, the subject was able to clearly read text from a distance of eight feet that can normally only be read from twenty feet away."
Doing the math in his head, Hawks' eyes widened in realization.
"Wait, that's 20/5 vision," he then asks "You're telling us that he has the equivalent sight to that of an eagle's?"
"And on top of that, his hearing is at least three times as sensitive as a normal human's."
Recovery Girl then shows an x-ray scan of Sam's body with the nerve fibers highlighted.
"His entire nervous system has been infused with these super conductive material fibers that are unimaginably fine. I couldn't get an accurate thickness but it was well within only a few nanometers."
"How fast are his reflexes?" asks Endeavor.
The flaming hero had by now grown increasingly interested in what the Spartan's physical abilities were. This became increasingly clear to the heroes but none of them could figure out why…all except for Aizawa and Dr. Nezu.
"We found it close to impossible to get an accurate reading, we managed to record his reaction time at 20 milliseconds. Keep in mind, that number was recorded when he was at rest and had been in the hospital for the past couple days. In combat, the time drops even more, so we really have no idea how fast he actually is, we do know he can react fast enough to dodge bullets."
While looking over the x-ray, Miruko glances over to the skeleton and notices something odd with the photo.
"What's all that weird black stuff that's covering his bones?" she asks.
"That?"
There was a brief pause.
"That is boron carbide, the third hardest substance found on this planet with the other two being boron nitride and diamonds. It is bonded into the surface of the entire skeleton making up to 3% of the total bone mass. For all intents and purposes, his skeleton is virtually unbreakable. When I did a deep scan, I found that the material and bone had been completely fused together, making me believe it was grafted onto him."
"Dear god," Midnight murmurs in horror.
The R-rated hero was in complete shock and disbelief. She couldn't imagine how much that must have hurt and to the fact that this was all done to a fourteen year old boy? The thought made her sick to her core, who would do such a horrible thing?
"That's not all, he's also got one remarkable healing power."
"What do you mean?" asks All Might.
"The plasma burst he took to his leg, when I asked him about it, all he told me was "It hurt like hell" and he could feel molten titanium from his armor pooling down his leg. It was from that moment that he reported losing mobility in his leg and was forced to rely on his armor's movement assist systems as a make-shift splint for the rest of the fight."
"Wait…" Miruko was noticeably impressed. "He proceeded to fight off the rest of those aliens while molten armor was dripping down his leg like it was just a minor inconvenience?" When Recovery Girl nodded, the Rabbit Hero let out a whistle and commented "He's got one hell of a pain tolerance."
"You don't even know the half of it," Recovery Girl sighs deeply. "There shouldn't even be a leg anymore."
This causes a few of the heroes to blink in confusion.
"When I actually finally got the chance to examine his wounds, he had half of his right quadricep completely burned off!"
All the heroes froze, that was not a simple "ow, it hurt wound." Most humans wouldn't be able to even move under that amount of pain and damage. To hear that Sam had managed to fight off the last of the Covenant without even slowing down while his leg was literally melting off was simply unheard of. To All Might though, he couldn't help but see himself in the young man.
"Normally, I would've tried to save as much of what was left of the leg as I could while I prepped the patient for immediate amputation."
It still looked as if the elderly nurse was still in disbelief at what she had seen. She showed them a before picture of what his leg looked when he arrived and it was this disgusting, blackened, and charred thing with a huge chunk just missing from the lower thigh. Many of the heroes began feeling nauseous and even hardened heroes such as All Might and Endeavor wore a grimace.
"Maybe at most, two hours from when we picked him up to when he got to the infirmary, and his leg had already shown signs of healing. So I had a hypothesis and decided to clean the wound as best as I could and leave it wrapped for a day. This was what I found…"
The after picture showed the same thigh, only it now had a thigh muscle in place of where it was missing the day prior. In just one day, the Spartan had somehow literally regrown it. Sure, the skin around it looked a little raw, but it was still a healthy, fully functioning thigh muscle. It was astonishing for the heroes. They all had shocked and impressed expressions, there were even a couple that wore disturbed faces as well as they all recalled that none of these abilities were naturally given to the patient.
Endeavor on the other hand, had gained quite a few different thoughts over the presentation. After seeing the Spartan's physical capabilities read out to him, he began to see Sam less like a potential threat and more like an opportunity.
"Anyone of those quirks would've made the Spartan into a pretty damn effective hero. How strong is he with all of these…abilities?"
"We weren't able to find much on his particular group…save for a single incident report," spoke Earserhead.
Everyone turns to Endeavor.
"There was an altercation in the gym with another Spartan and four other soldiers. It was at most three weeks after the initial procedure when it had occurred. I need to stress this first because the four soldiers were elite Spec. Ops. operators; hardened combat veterans in their prime, the best of the best."
"Four adults against one kid?" a hero cried in outrage.
"What happened to the kid?" asks Hawks, feeling worried for a potential hazing incident.
"Nothing, the kid didn't have a scratch," Awizawa replies blankly. "On the other hand, the fight…in the loosest sense of the word, had resulted in two dead and two critically injured. One of the men was killed outright when his skull was caved in with a single blow and the other was killed by a single strike to the chest which made his heart stop. For the last two: one had a cracked pelvis and the other had a shattered spine…it was over in less than five seconds."
Silence, it was one thing to just see a bunch of numbers given to you, but it was another thing to see what that strength actually looked like when put against other people.
"We actually were able to record a punch to get a more broader picture of what he is possibly capable of, for reference, the average boxer will usually punch with a force 3.5 times their body weight, which is already compounded by the fact that Saprtans are already at least three times stronger than a normal human," replies Death Arms, "His punch was recorded at a velocity of 49.6 m/s and hit with a force of aproximatley 81,000 Newtons. In other words, imagine getting struck by a fist sized object weighing in at 8 ts traveling at 178 km/h."
"A-and, what's the required force needed to break a human bone?" Hawks stutters.
It was All Might who answered, if anyone would know this answer, it would be him.
"4,000 Ns."
The Rabbit Hero's eyes widen as she whistles and asks "You're telling me these guys were being hit with twenty times the required force needed to break bone?"
Recovery Girl nodded.
"That's not an isolated incident either," Eraserhead continues, "The instructors' essentially were forced to wear four and a half tonne armored-exoskeletons for their own safety as a few of them were accidentally killed during the following weeks after their augmentations. Even then, the Spartans were able to punch dents into the titanium armor and launch them two meters into the air with single blows."
"We haven't even gotten into the armor yet," Powerloader solemnly adds. "We're still analyzing the armor of both the Spartan's and the Elites', but from what we did find, they are at least decades more advanced than anything we have right now, potentially even centuries."
With that, the presentation was finished and the lights were turned back on.
"So….now all that is left is to decide what we're going to do with him," Aizawa turns to the others, "He was just told last night that he is officially trapped here in this dimension and that everything he knew was basically gone. He hides it very well, but it is clear as day to me that he is hurting, and that he is lost. The kid also is incredibly gifted, he has a borderline eidetic memory and has an IQ of 160, I have no doubt that with a nudge in the right direction, he would easily thrive here if given the chance."
The headmaster was the first to speak up.
"We've never been ones to turn away those in need. The current plan is to have him placed in either the JSDF or have him enrolled here as a student."
"Really?" asks Best Jeanist, "You want him enrolled into your hero course? He was basically raised as a soldier, what makes you think this would be a good idea."
"Because in his current state, he could easily outperform most of the heroes operating today!" exclaims Endeavor. "Not training him to be a pro hero is nothing but wasted potential."
It was glaringly obvious to the other heroes why the Flaming Hero had suddenly taken such an interest in the extra dimensional warrior.
"So that's why you are so interested in him!" Midnight angrily accused, "He's not just your next great success story, he's just a kid!"
Endeavor scoffs at the R-rated Heroine and retorts "It is very rare for someone with that amount of innate potential to come around, we have the opportunity of a lifetime, we can not waste it!"
"But he would still have the mindset of a soldier," the Dragon Hero protested, "How do we know he won't just try and kill every criminal he comes across?"
"He's a soldier, not a mindless killer,"Aizawa argues to the surprise of everyone. "From my understanding, a large focus of his training was placed in non-linear warfare and counter-terrorism tactics on top of your standard military training."
All Might attempted to see both sides of the argument.
"He definitely has the potential to be a great hero," he surmises, "But his methods, while highly effective, are also incredibly brutal. We would have to make it clear to him that he can't just kill every criminal."
Nezu ultimately agreed with them.
"It would definitely take a lot of work to get him properly situated. But with him being a soldier, it is within his nature to try and adapt to his new surroundings as best as he can. That would include having to follow new guidelines and rules which would probably be outlined for him in a clear standard operating procedure."
I want him interned under my agency when he becomes eligible," Endeavor boreline demanded. "My agency would be best equipped to handle him in regards to both legal protection and PR."
Powerloader was next to add in his thoughts.
"While we can just swap out his current ammunition with less-than-lethal, we would still need help from the Police Commissioner in order to allow him to be trained for law enforcement."
The plan was starting to form and slowly, several of the heroes began to step forward and offer their help in training the young Spartan.
"I use lethal ammunition and I know full well the legal paperwork we would have to work through to get him those licenses," comments Snipes. He turns to Nexu and nods "There's always going to be that one point where just simple tear-gas pellets and rubber bullets aren't just going to cut it and I know we all know the last thing we should do is to hinder our heroes from performing at their max capacity. I can do whatever is needed to prove that he can be trusted with carrying a weapon."
"It seems we would require assistance from the police regardless," Death Arms muses.
"You don't have to worry about his armor," Power Loader said, "We will do what we need to do in order to get his armor back into fighting condition."
"And my scientists at I-Island are going to be working night in day in reverse engineering the Covenant technology and have them ready when it comes time for Sam to need it," Dr. Shields confidently declared.
"Same goes for us as the ARL," chimed Misriah, "We will start working on building more parts for his weapons as well as start producing more ammunition for him to use; both lethal and non-lethal." He then quickly adds "I also got the CIA to write up a paper trail for him as well, that way he at least exists in the system."
Hawks then stood up and asked "What do you need from the rest of us?"
Edgeshot spoke up after remaining quiet for so long, "We need all of us to learn about the threats we will be facing in the upcoming months."
All heads turned to the Ninja Hero as he spoke.
"I have already begun working with the police in an attempt to track down the missing technology, and work to prevent more disasters from occurring. If none of you knew what you would face, then the same trouble would befall you as well."
"Then we are in agreement," Nezu happily smiles, clapping his hands together. "You all know what you need to do, I'll see what strings I can pull to get the help we need from the Police Commissioner."
With that, the meeting was adjourned and all the heroes left to carry out their respective tasks. This was an all hands on deck situation and they all knew that this would require a dedicated effort from all of them. They may not have known what the oncoming troubles they were going to face were, but they were damn well going to make sure they were as prepared as they could be.
Author's Note: Oh sweet Jesus we're finally done! I thought this chapter would be put faster as it was just an info dump….god I was wrong. I was so wrong. Anyway, I know many of you at the very least a little touch up on Halo lore. I am aware of the drastic power difference between Halo and MHA. This chapter should at least show that Sam is no pushover out of armor and you guys really don't know how much the games under sell how strong Spartans actually are in the lore. Actually I think most of you know that, but still, I took the time to go and get as much of the hard data as I could. I actually had to do math at one point, like damn.

Most Detailed Breakdown—Spartan 2 Augmentations
Chief's Secret Augmentations
How Hard Can a Spartan Punch
There are a couple slight changes that I will make towards the lore as well. Don't worry, it's nothing major, just a swap around with certain dates. For example, the healing augmentation that was mentioned was a real augmentation and was being looked at for Project Chrysanthemum which was the name of the augmentation procedure. They were ultimately shelved at the time due to being too dangerous even for ONI. That would've been the end of it but then in the book Shadows of Reach, John receives a hit similar to the one I wrote and the exact same thing happened. There are two current theories which are either they were augmented later on with additional ones, or they received the extra high risk ones anyway, I went with the latter theory.
There are three other things, and they both pertain to the Mjolnir Mark IV armor. The first one is simply a cosmetic thing which is, swapping the CQC helmet with the default Mark IV, I just like that look a lot more. In fact, Sam's armor, after everything, will look like Red Team's armor. The second is also not that big of a change, but it is worth noting, and it's the armor's power source. The original Mark IV had a nuclear fission reactor when first built and wouldn't get the fusion reactor until 2535. The last thing is a bit of a change, and that is that the original Mark IV only amplified a Spartan's strength by two times. I think I might keep that for now, but I know the Mark IV is getting upgraded so I'll probably raise it to something closer to what the Mark VI had which amplified a Spartan's abilities by a factor of five.
Thank you all for reading and supporting my story, I really am sorry that this chapter took a while. I hope you all enjoyed reading so far and I hope you will keep reading. I hope to see you all soon and as always…Big Brother is watching.
