The three surviving warriors were in shock, the saiyan was still alive and the fight wasn't over yet.
Raditz was laughing at his enemies.
"That attack was strong brother if I hadn't dodge it in time I would be in trouble right now" Raditz said with a smirk.
"I have to give it to you bugs, you seem to have some tricks up your sleeves, but those distractions will only delay your deaths" Raditz quickly added, Piccolo turned to his rival who was now back on his feet.
"Goku we can't beat him like this, but I have created a new tecnique that might do the trick. Can you buy me some minutes to charge it?". Goku had by now regained some of it strenght, he was now getting excited.
"Piccolo has a new tecnique?" Goku thought excited.
"I will keep him busy" the saiyan hero answered with a smile.
As Piccolo put two of his fingers on his forehead Goku rushed foreward and clashed with his brother, he was still far stronger than him, but Tien's double ray had injured the saiyan fiend and his hits were now more sloppy. Goku saw an opening and the saiyan invader felt an incredible pain his little brother had just punched him in the kidney. Raditz had to get on his knees because of the pain, Goku prepared another blow but he stopped, he couldn't hit someone that couldn't defend himself.
"You are such a fool Kakarot, are you really feeling pity towards me?" Raditz said gritting his teeth.
"I won't be humiliated by this excuse of a saiyan too, I will show him how much stronger than him I am" the saiyan thought.
In an instant Raditz got up raised his arm and fired a blast at his brother, Goku could only tank the attack and part of his clothes were now destroyed, the older brother then kicked Goku in the head, the little brother lost his balance and fell on the ground.
"Kakarot I don't feel any pity towards you and I won't give you the luxury of a quick death like I did with your friend" the saiyan said as he placed a foot on Goku's chest.
Piccolo was nearly ready, he knew his attack could kill the space invader but he had to be precise.
"Er, Piccolo can you hear me?" The namekian heard a voice in his head it was Chiaotzu.
"Yes, what do you want?" Piccolo asked.
"Kami just told me that we should coordinate our attacks, if I hit him with my telekenisis I can paralyze him for a few seconds".
"Alright count to 10 and attack him" the green man aswered.
Raditz was laughing as he tortured his brother, but then he got distracted by his device.
"What the hell is going on? my scouter is going crazy" the saiyan said.
"A power of 2400?" Raditz screamed in shock, but before the son of Bardock could react he felt that strange pain in the chest again, he couldn't move. In that moment Piccolo yelled "makankosappo" as he fired his strongest attack, the blast passed right through the saiyan's body and kept going until it collided with a mountain where it finally exploded vaporaizing everything.
"You are done now" Piccolo said with a smirk, but his expression changed into one of fear as he saw the saiyan still standing. Raditz was able to move away at the last second but the blast still hit him as it left a hole in his right shoulder.
"You bastard I can't feel my arm, you are gonna die a slow death" the saiyan yelled with blood coming out of his mouth, in a second he was already in front of the namekian and with a his left arm blasted the green man, but after the cloud of smoke had disappeared there was nothing left of the namekian.
"What? I wasn't aiming to kill him yet, maybe he was weaker that I thought" Raditz then scoffed and went back to his brother.
"Now where were we? Oh right I was about to break this bone" a crushing sound was heard as Goku screamed in pain.
The torture continued as Goku was screaming with all the breath he had left, but as Raditz was about to lower his foot again on his brother's chest his scouter activated once more.
"What is it now? I'm getting sick of this planet's tricks" Raditz said, but as he started reading what his device was detecting his jaw dropped.
"A power level of 2800? That's impossible! Where is the source?" Raditz turned to the crater and heard an explosion, Gohan had just destroyed his uncle's space pod as he jumped out of it.
"Leave my dad alone" the boy screamed as he headbutted Raditz in the chest, the saiyan was spitting more and more blood as he clutchted his chest. Raditz then turned to his nephew who had just fainted on the ground, in that moment he decided he wouldn't bring this brat along with him.
The saiyan was slowly walking to his nephew, but when he was about to reach him he felt someone grabbing him from behind it was his little brother.
"Piccolo now" Goku yelled. The saiyan turned forward and saw two figures on a floating carpet, it was a man with a turban and the namekian with two fingers placed on his forehead.
"What! so I didn't kill him after all" the space invader thought. Raditz then in complete fear for his life tried to plead with his brother .
"Kakarot... no Goku let me go, if you do I will just leave the planet and never come back", but the hero of Earth didn't let go of his brother he had already killed Tien and was a threat to his friends and to the planet.
"Makankosappo" Piccolo yelled again, this time the attack penetrated both saiyan's chests leaving giant holes in their bodies. The brothers then fell to the ground.
"How could I die like this on this worthless planet" Raditz cursed. Meanwhile Goku was at peace with himself he was a bit sad that he couldn't reason with his brother, but the Earth was now safe and that's what mattered to him.
As they were laying on the ground dying a ship landed on the battlefield, Bulma Crillin and master Roshi came out of it. The trio observed the battlefield and saw Tien's body motionless while Chiaotzu only seemed unconscious, Crillin then saw his best friend on the ground and ran to him.
"Kami has told us everything, we have the senzu beans with us" said Crillin, but Goku just smiled at his friends.
"They won't work this time" the saiyan said as he accepted his fate
"Who's laughing now" Piccolo said with a grin approaching Raditz, but the saiyan started laughing while coughing some blood.
"I do" Raditz answered.
"At least I was able to kill Kakarot" the dying saiyan said trying to give a meaning to his death.
"You are a fool, on this planet we have dragon balls, gather all seven and you can make any wish you want and that includes bringing the dead back to life" Piccolo explained.
"Oh very interesting, my scouter has been recording all that has been said today, other saiyans a lot stronger than me will come to avenge me" Raditz said with a grin on his face.
"Avenge you? You really can be funny sometimes Raditz" a female voice could be heard talking from the scouter.
"You have been a disgrace since the day you were born, why should someone ever avenge you?" she added.
"Mother?" Raditz answered with a sad expression.
"yes, It's queen Hanasia that is talking".
Goku heard her voice and a lot of questions came up in his mind.
"This is my mother's voice? And she is the queen of those saiyans?" Goku thought confused.
"Kakarot listen to me if you aren't dead yet, I will personally come to your pitiful planet, this dragon balls story is an interesting one if they really work I will see you on the battlefield in one year time, and I promise you unlike that weakling of my son I will send you to the otherworld for good" but by the time she closed the call both brothers had already taken their last breath.
Piccolo was now the last fighter standing, while he was thinking about what he just heard his gaze fell on the little half saiyan that had just showed great potential, but he snapped when in a flash both Goku and Tien's body disappeared into thin air.
"Kami" Piccolo said under his breath.
