Age 762, the afterlife, Yemma's palace.
"And that is why I ask for these two to be allowed to train with king Kai" Kami said to the judge of the dead. Yemma, while listening to the guardian of Earth, was reading some documents were Goku and Tien's lives, up to that point, were summarized.
"Well a good hearted saiyan is more than a rarity these days, and he also sacrifaced himself to defeat his evil brother, and the human, even though he was a mercenary before he has by now reedemed himself and has fought to protect Earth on more than one occasion, I approve your request they can go to train under the northen kai".
"Thank you king Yemma, but I have another request: a human asked me to train him but he is stronger than me now, I can't teach him anything else and I would like to send him to train alongside these two" the namekian said in a respecful tone.
"What you want to send a living human to train in the otherworld?" yelled Yemma.
"Wait Kami who are you talking about?" asked Goku with curiosity, but the namekian simply smiled and turned to the king.
"I know it has never been done before, but in a year the queen of the saiyans herself will come to Earth and we all need to be at our strongest if we want to repell them" said the namekian with a serious expression on his face.
"Very well I shall grant you this request, after all the universe owes your planet a favor for killing that saiyan".
"Thank you King Yemma I will immediatly bring him here", then Kami vanished and after a second reappered with someone else, the human was non other than Goku's best friend: Crillin.
"Crillin so you wanted to train with Kami?" the saiyan asked his friend.
"Yeah I was too weak to fight in this battle so I decided I would be ready for the next" the ex monk answered a bit embarrased.
"It will be like the old times, we will train and grow together" finally answered Goku with a smile putting a hand on his friend's shoulder.
The three warriors then started to cross snake way, but soon it was clear that Goku was a lot faster then the other two, while Crillin was the slowest because he was still alive and he needed to sleep and drink and eat.
"Goku you have to go without us" Tien said.
"I can't leave you guys behind, we will all go together" the saiyan answered.
"Goku every minute counts, you need to start training as soon as possible instead of waiting for us, we will meet again once we arrive" Crillin answered with a smile, and with that the three fighters dediced to split. Goku then flew away as fast as he could.
"They are right I can't waste any time if I want to beat the queen" Goku thought as he remebered what his mother told him, "this is getting excting" Goku thoutght with a smile on his face, a new challenge had appeared in front of the saiyan earthling and his lust for battle and for a challenge had been awaken once more.
Age 762, planet Earth, the lookout.
"Well it's done" said kami as he returned to his palace.
" I have talked with king Kai, it seems that we have some luck, planet Earth is at the edge of the galaxy and the saiyans will take more than a year to arrive so I ask you to go and find the seven dragon balls" the guardian of earth said to his assistant who immediately went to retrive the magical items. Kami then exited his palace and saw three humans standing there, they were waiting for him.
"Yamcha and Chiaotzu you will keep training under me" the namekian said to the two humans, then he turned his head to the third.
"Chi Chi, you asked me to train you, but you are currently too weak for my training, so you will train under Mr. Popo first and once you are ready I will take you as my student".
"Thank you Kami" was all that Chi Chi answered after she bowed her head.
After a couple of days Mr. Popo found all of the seven dragon balls, Kami then called for the dragon Shenron to appear and the sky turned dark.
"What is your wish my master?" the great dragon asked.
"I want to be young again" kami answered.
"an easy wish" as the dragon said that his eyes lighted up for a second and the wish was granted Kami had now his youth back, the guardian of Earth he was now the spitting image of the great demon that tried to conquer the Earth years ago. The dragon balls then scattered and in a year they would be active again.
Kami and Mr. Popo then teleported themselves with the magic carpet, they appeared near Kami's evil half. Piccolo turned around and saw his now young good half.
"so you copied my father's wish?" Piccolo said in a mocking tone.
"Given the situation I assume that our truce still stands?" Kami asked, but Piccolo didn't answer.
"I'll take that as a yes" the good namekian said.
"I see you are training Goku's son" he added.
"Why do you care? Has his mother asked you to come and pick him up?" Piccolo answered. Kami paused for a second.
"Well she did but I said that you were too strong for me and that I couldn't save her son" the good half explained.
"Mh at least you know your place" Piccolo said mocking the God of the planet he wanted to conquer.
"I didn't come here for Gohan, I have a proposition for you" the guardian of Earth said.
"If you are suggesting fusion then you can go back to your temple in the sky before I sent you there with a kick" Piccolo answered in an annoyed tone.
"No, fusion could bring unexpected results and we can't risk the dragon balls, I actually wanted to train in the room of spirit and time and needed a strong fighting partner" Kami explained to Piccolo.
"The room? Are you sure?" Piccolo said a bit shocked.
"Yes, I think it's our only chance" Kami answered honestly.
"Well I'll think about it" Piccolo aswered, Kami nodded and went back to the lookout he had a smile on his face because he knew it wouldn't be long before his counterpart would ask to train in the magic chamber.
"He is not like his father Goku was right about him" Kami thought hoping he could put some trust in his evil counterpart.
Age 762, Planet Vegeta, capital of the saiyan empire.
It had been 25 years since the rebellion lead by the saiyan Bardock was able to kill the tyrant Frieza. The scarred saiyan thanks to his clairvoyance was able to know when and where the little demon would show up, he then made all the strongest fighters transform into ozaroos and ordered to attack Frieza's ship while he was still in his first and weakest form.
Since that day the saiyan empire had filled the power vacum left by the frost demon's death. This new empire was even more brutal than the one before as the saiyans had a lust for fights and violence and because of it attacked many planets and killed many races just for the thrill of battle.
After two years of reign Bardock had abdicated the saiyan throne because he didn't care about reigning he only wanted people to listen to him, so he organaized a tournament where the strongest saiyan would be declared king. The final round was between Hanasia and Vegeta, who was still a kid at the time but was already one of the strongest members of his species. The fight was won by Hanasia who spared the young saiyan's life after her mate Bardock asked her to let him live.
"In the future we will need his strenght if we all want to survive". Hanasia has ever since regretted not killing Vegeta as he was now his most feared rival.
In the saiyan throne room two people were talking.
"I wasn't at all surprised that Raditz would have died in his first solo mission, but it seems he was able to make himself useful in his last moments of life" a female saiyan said sitting on the throne with a smirk.
"Gerkin have you removed any mention of the dragon balls in Raditz's recording as I asked you to?" the saiyan added.
"Yes my queen" a saiyan with long hair that was kneeling in front of her answered.
"Now it looks like the recording ended when the last attack hit Raditz" the saiyan elite answered.
"perfect, I want to investigate those dragon balls myself without any interference" Hanasia answered with a huge grin.
The queen then got up and started walking away but her bodyguard wasn't moving.
"My queen before we depart for Kakarot's planet" Gerking said but he paused for a second, then he resumed talking.
"I ask permission to bring someone else with us" the elite finally added.
"Oh who do you want to bring on this trip Gerkin?" the queen said intrigued.
"Well I had a recent addition to my team, he is still a kid but he is a prodigy and Earth has some fighters, it's the perfect training ground for him".
The queen looked at the elite, she didn't care very much she only cared about uncovering the myth she had just heard.
"Very well he can come, where he is now?" she answered.
"Thank you my queen, well he was born on a colony so he isn't on planet Vegeta, I will send him the coordinates of the planet, we will meet him there once we land".
"Very well let's go now".
Age 762, Planet Yavin.
Yavin is a rich planet full of natural resources at the edge of the galaxy, it was one of the last conquest of Frieza's empire, after the death of the tyrant the planet became a rebel base, the freedom fighters first fought the remanents of Frieza's army and then continued their fight against the saiyan empire. The campaign had been hard fought but the flames of rebellion weren't being put down, until a certain saiyan elite arrived: Vegeta, one of the best generals of the saiyan empire.
Vegeta had been recently assigned on this campaign, he was a glory hound and he wanted the prestige of ending the rebellion, he was now in a war camp making some new strategies for an upcoming battle against the rebels, then someone entered the war room.
"Lord Vegeta" a slim female saiyan said bowing her head, it was one Vegeta's personal spies.
"What is it?" Vegeta asked.
"I have come to inform you that prince Raditz was killed by his younger brother on a far away planet" the saiyan answered.
"Tell me why I should care about that weakling of Raditz or about this rogue prince you just told me about" Vegeta said in an angry tone.
"Well queen Hanasia has just announced that she would personally go to the planet where Raditz died and avenge him" the saiyan answered while keeping her head down.
"Well well the queen never cared for her son, now this is strange, what about Raditz how did he die?" the ex prince asked with a grin, he never liked Raditz and was glad he was dead.
"Well his recording was very weird, Raditz reported that his brother didn't do his mission and he also said that he found a namek there" the spy said.
"Mh the nameks are extinct we conquered their planet years ago, that fool must have been mistaken" Vegeta said scoffing.
"The scouter then detected different power levels it seems that on that planet the fighters could change their power at will, the one that Raditz claimed to be of a namek went from a power of 800 to over 2000 units in a matter of minutes".
"Well yeah some planets have some strange tricks" Vegeta said.
"Another strange thign was how the recording ended, it was too abroptely, I don't think Raditz's scouter was destroyed in the last attack" the female saiyan said.
"So the queen has been acting strange and maybe she is hiding something, and that something was probably talked about at the end of Raditz's recording" Vegeta said as he started to connects the various dots.
"Mh very well you are dismissed" Vegeta said as the saiyan woman left the room.
"It seems that my time to be king is approching" the ambitious saiyan thought with a huge grin on his face.
Vegeta then put on his scouter and made a call.
"Nappa can you hear me?".
"Loud and clear Vegeta" the tall saiyan answered.
"Where are you now Nappa?" the short saiyan asked.
"On planet Vegeta, I just returned from my last campaign, we just slaughtered some race called arcosians or whatever, their planet will make a good saiyan colony".
"I don't care Nappa, I have called because I have a mission for you. I belive the queen is hiding something, I want you to accompany her on her trip to a planet called Earth", Nappa paused for a second and understood his new mission as a spy.
"Alright Vegeta I will keep you informed". Nappa had been Vegeta's mentor ever since he was a kid, while Vegeta didn't really care about Nappa, his mentor did and he didn't want to let his pupil down.
Queen Hanasia and her bodyguard Gerkin had just arrived at the space station where all the space pods were, there were a lot of saiyans that were coming and going off and on world, after a quarter of a century planet Vegeta had become the new center of the universe. The queen was popular with her subjects and she was often seen in public, her support had just improved because of the prince's death, but mostly because she announced her mission to avenge him, after all this behavior was not only accepted but encouraged in saiyan society.
When the two were about to reach their pods they saw a tall bald man waiting for them, it was Nappa. The saiyan then approched the queen and said: "my condolences", Hanasia simply nodded and tried to walk away, but Nappa kept talking
"Me and Raditz went on some missions together years ago, we were comrades and that is why I ask to join in your mission to avenge him" as he finished talking he bowed his head. Hanasia was now fuming.
"So Vegeta sends his most trusted dog to spy on me? I can't even turn him down because we are in public and it would look suspiscious, smart bastard" the queen thought furious.
"Very well you may join us" Hanasia gently answered putting on a mask of serenity.
The three saiyans then entered their space pods set the coordinates for Earth and departed their planet of origin. Before falling asleep Hanasia was thinking again about the magic balls.
"If I become immortal I won't have to fear Vegeta, no I won't even have to fear the legendary super saiyan if he ever returned from his trip of random destruction around the universe".
The queen was now about to enter a deep sleep when her mind dwelled on something else.
"The strongest power level that Raditz detected was Kakarot's brat... very interesting."
