Age 762, otheworld, king kai's planet.
After three months of flying and running son Goku had finally arrived at the end of snake way, the saiyan then flew to king kai's small planet and met the northen kaio. After some days Goku had finally adapted to the heavier gravity of the planet and began his training by trying to catch Bubbles.
Goku had failed once again to catch the monkey and sat in the grass resting.
"You know Goku my planet's gravity is the same as planet Vegeta, the planet you were born on" King kai said.
"Wait you know about the saiyans?" the saiyan asked intrigued.
"Of course I'm a kai after all".
"Well can you tell me more about them?" the savior of Earth asked.
"Oh so you are interested in your origins, well the saiyans were once a primitive species, they were brutal and violent and they all shared a common love: fighting. At first they weren't a big threat but then decades ago they able to exterminate another, more advanced, race called the tuffles that also lived on planet Vegeta, they then were recruited and became soldiers under an evil alien called Frieza who grew fearful of their power, but the saiyans were able to rebel and kill him before he could exterminate them" King kai explained.
"oh and the saiyan that led the rebellion was non other than your father" the northen kai then added.
"My father?" Goku answered with shock.
"Well my mother is the queen from what I've heard" Goku paused then got up and clenched his fist.
"But it doesn't change anything I will fight whoever threathens my friends" Goku said with resolution.
"It won't be that easy Goku the saiyans now have the biggest empire in the universe, they have invaded many planets and killed or enslaved many more species, their dominion is ever expanding and your brother came to Earth to make you join their empire" King kai explained.
"No!" Goku screamed.
"I'm not one of them I will never be" Goku said in a worried tone.
"Easy now" king Kai said trying to calm down his student.
"You might despise you heritage but the fact that you are a saiyan can be a great asset, with that power you can defend your planet and your friends" King kai added, but his words didn't reach Goku, he had lived all of his life on Earth and his species felt alien to him, he was disgusted by his race's crimes.
"What Raditz tried to do on Earth... It must have happened on many more planets" Goku thought gritting his teeth.
"I have to stop them" the good hearted saiyan vowed.
Age 762, planet Earth, unkown location.
A month had passed after the fight against Raditz. That night the fool moon was out, Piccolo was meditating while Gohan was trying to survive in the wilderness, this was the first trial the half saiyan had to pass if he wanted to get stronger. The namekian was still thinking about Kami's offer when all of a sudden he felt an enormous ki.
"It's Goku's brat? But how?" Piccolo thought but as he opened his eyes he saw a giant monster. The beast was very strong and very angry and it started to destroy everyhting in his path, but after a while Piccolo understood that it was the presence of the moon that allowed that strange transformation to happen so the reincarnation of evil blew up Earth's only natural satellite. The boy went back to normal and with his magic powers Piccolo gave little Gohan new clothes and a sword.
Piccolo then went to the lookout and found his counterpart who was at the edge of the flying platform looking down.
"Oh Piccolo what brings you here?" kami said with a little smile.
"You already know why, let's try your idea" the evil half answered annoyed, and with that the namekians entered the special room.
They didn't stay for long the first time because the magic chamber was too stressful for their bodies, but after months of trying to stay in for longer periods of time they finally began to adapt to the harsh conditions of the strange dimension that the magic door led to. In order to train his students Kami also let Yamcha and Chiaotzu inside the room, then after a while Chi Chi was finally allowed in.
Age 763, the otherworld, king kai's planet.
Six months had now passed since the battle that claimed the life of two of Earth's heroes, the first one had already been training for months under king Kai, while Tien arrived not long after, and in no time he was beginning to catch up to his saiyan friend and rival. Crillin arrived just a week prior and was still adapting to the gravity of the small planet.
Goku and Tien were sparring as usual but this time the fight seemed very close, the two warriors clashed in the sky above creating massive shock waves, Crillin couldn't even see half the fight as their movements had become too quick for the human's eyes to follow, the fighters landed back on the planet then they both smiled and powered up, their ki now emitted a red bright light and Crillin was in awe of the power he felt, but as they took a fighting stance and prepared for their second and final round they were interrupted by a scream.
"Oh this is very bad!" king Kai yelled, the warriors turned around to their master, but he kept yelling strange things.
"They are doomed!" the kai now added.
"What is going on?" Tien finally asked confused.
"it's a disaster I was looking at Earth and there is no mistaking... three space pods are reaching your planet" king Kai said with fear.
"This is terrible" Crillin yelled.
"And what's worse I can't contact Kami to warn him" king Kai added.
"Oh why not?" Goku asked.
"I don't know it's like he isn't on Earth anymore" king Kai answered.
"Have you tried contacting someone else like Mr. Popo?" Tien asked.
"Oh well... no" said the northen kai laughing, all three warriors then lost their balance and fell on the ground.
Age 763, planet Earth, the lookout
"Mr. Popo, it's king Kai can you hear me?" the northen kai said in the genie's head.
"Yes, what is it?" Popo asked.
"Please can you call Kami it's an emergency" king kai added, Popo then ran to the magic door and knocked on it.
After some moments two figures with damaged clothes emerged from the room, it was Kami and Chi Chi they had been training inside for hours but to them it felt like months.
"What's the matter Mr. Popo?" Kami asked, but the guardian of Earth then heard a voice in his head.
"Kami it's an emergency, three pods are about to land on Earth you must all prepare" Kami's face went pale.
"B-but you told me it would take more than a year to come here!" Kami yelled completely losing any hope he had left.
"And I told you the truth, it's not the queen this must be another group, saiyans are very individualistic maybe some of them just decided to invade your planet" king Kai answered defending himself.
"I will prepare my warriors, thank you for alerting me and sorry for yelling at you" Kami said regaining some confidence.
"Chi Chi it seems that other saiyans are about to invade Earth, go and take some senzus from master Korrin, I will contact the others".
Chi Chi nodded and jumped from the lookout, as she fell down she yelled: "flying nimbus" and the cloud came to catch her, then she flew to master Korrin as her teacher had instructed her.
After surviving in the wild Gohan finally began his actual training, the namekian had initially taken the little boy with him because he wanted to use him as a weapon against the saiyans, but lately he had began to care for the boy, even though the namekian couldn't admit that to himself. The duo were in the middle of a sparring match in the sky.
The training made Gohan remember his father, he missed him very much, but he knew he had to train very hard if he wanted to help him in the next fight. Piccolo had very different methos of training from Goku, he was fare more brutal and harsh, Gohan felt incredible pain every time he was hit by his master, but the boy was very determined and didn't give up.
"I have seen the power that is hidden inside this boy, if I could harness that strenght the planet, no the entire universe would be at my feet, even the saiyans will bow before us... no only before me, I'm only using the boy to achieve my goals" Piccolo thought as he looked at the boy.
All of a sudden Kami and Popo appeared on their magic carpet.
"Piccolo three saiyans are about to land I need your help" Kami said in a worried tone.
"What!" Piccolo screamed in shock.
"We need to hurry, will you bring Gohan with you?" Kami asked. Piccolo turned to his pupil paused for a second.
"No he isn't ready, he will just get killed if he is in a real fight" the namekian answered not wanting to lose his secret weapon.
"You are wrong mr. Piccolo I'm ready to fight" Gohan yelled, but Piccolo ignored him and went with Kami and Mr. Popo, he hated to be with his good half but he had to if he wanted to survive and take over the Earth.
"I've already informed the others, Chi Chi and Yamcha will stall the saiyans while we fetch Chiaotzu" Kami said.
"We also need a plan this time, we don't know how strong these new invaders are" Kami added in a serious tone and Piccolo remained silent the fate of the Earth was once again unknown.
The three pods had now entered Earth's athmosphere, they then flew towards a city, they passed by the streets destroying many cars and buildings in the process, the ships then finally crashed against a mountain leaving one massive creater. Out of the space ships three saiyans came out, they all activated their scouters in search of big power levels but they only could find powers in the single digits.
"So Raditz left in the middle of our mission just to come and die on this planet full of weaklings" a short and half bald saiyan said sarcastically.
"He was scum after all" a tall long haired saiyan answered while laughing.
"This will make our mission here easier" a female saiyan said with a grin.
