The two opposing groups of warriors were standing in the desert as they specteted the fight between the hybrid saiyan Gohan and the full blooded saiyan Cerealic. The duel had started with a series of punches and kickes, Gohan was clearly the better fighter but Cerealic was stronger and already had the upper hand.
Gohan tried to go on the attack as he quickly threw a kick at his enemy's head, but the saiyan kid was quick to crouch then he raised his two hands forward and fired an attack at Goku's son, Gohan couldn't dodge the attack and was caught by the blast, he was sent flying until he crushed into a mountain.
"Gohan" Chi Chi screamed worried about her son's well being, but when she tried to intervine and rescue him she was stopped by a green stretched arm.
"Don't make rushed decisions" Piccolo calmly said.
"It's easy for you, you don't care about him" Chi Chi yelled still angry at his kidnapper's son.
"It's not about that, you must not intervine for two reasons: number one Gohan is strong and he doesn't need your help and number two it's better if we follow what the saiyans want, atleast until Goku and the others arrive" Piccolo explained trying to calm down Chi Chi.
Before the wife of Goku could even answer the mountain where Gohan had crushed into exploded, the hybrid saiyan had just charged up his ki. In a flash he rushed his enemy who was caught off guard, the pupil of Piccolo attacked the invader with a series of punches and kicks until one attack was blocked by the invader. Cerealic then tried to punch Gohan but the saiyan of Earth was also able to block the attack, the two saiyans then exchanged hits until they punched each other in the face. The two fighters then both jumped back to create some space between the two, Cerealic was now getting excited about the fight while Gohan stayed serious.
"You are great!" the saiyan invader congratulated the hybrid with a big smile on his face.
"Er thanks you too" Gohan answered a bit embarrased.
"They are fighting to the death and he looks like he is playing a game" Yamcha said shocked.
"Mh that kid is strong, how many missions did he do Gerkin?" the queen asked now intrigued at the prodigy.
"Well from what I know zero, he lived on a colony and didn't join the saiyan army until now" he answered.
"But then how can he be so strong at his age?" Nappa butted into the discussion.
"Well it's because he is the son of Roota the butcher of Frieza-79, we were in the same squad years ago" Gerking explained.
"Yes I've heard of her, she was a prodigy too but she retired early from the army" Hanasia said trying to remember.
"Yes she retired because she had an uncurable illness, when she died last year I took her son in my squad" Gerkin said.
While they saiyans were talking the two boys had resumed their fight, this time they fought in the sky and the shockwaves of their hits reached the ground and they destroyed the desert around them. This time Cerealic went on the attack as he tried to punch Gohan but the hybrid was able to catch both of his punches, the saiyan invader then headbutted the son of Goku this made him lose his grip, with a hand free Cerealic punched Gohan away, then he rushed the hybrid as he was falling to the ground. When Cerealic was about to kick Gohan in the head the hybrid stopped mid air and gripped his enemy's foot and sent Cerealic flying into the ground instead.
Cerealic vision blurred for a second as he hit the back of his head into the ground then he heard Gohan scream.
"Kamehameha" the hybrid yelled and the blast reached Cerealic who could only block the attack with his hands, Cerealic's hand were a bit burnt but he wasn't too hurt, the saiyan then got back on his feet.
"Heh I thought I was done for, but that attack was weaker than what I had expected" he said with a smirk, meanwhile Gohan couldn't belive his eyes.
"That was my most powerful attack and he was able to block it with his hands" the hybrid thought still in shock.
"My turn!" Cerealic said as he rushed Gohan once more, but this time the saiyan earthling was weaker and more tired than before and couldn't put up a good defence.
"Nappa you must act now that the queen is distracted" is what the tall saiyan heard say from his scouter, the tall saiyan had been discracted by the fight and had forgotten his mission for a moment. Nappa turned around and saw that the queen was looking at the fight so he to began slowly levitate away and he went near the group of earthlings.
"Hey namek I think it's time we fight too" Nappa ordered.
"Shit! Where the hell are you Goku when I need you for once" Piccolo thought angrily before flying towards the bold saiyan accepting the challenge.
"Let's fight somewhere else it's too crowded here" Nappa said as he turned around and flew in a random direction, but out of nowhere the queen appeared in front of him.
"I appreciate your spirit of initiative Nappa but this is my mission and you will do what I command" the queen said as she stopped the fight before it could even begin. Piccolo breathed a sigh of relief while Nappa returned to where he was before to watch the fight once again, in his mind he wanted to kill the queen for her disrespect but he knew he had no chance of winning against her so he kept his mouth shut, but inside the saiyan felt like he was about to explode.
"Luckly I always kept an eye on him, if only he had turned off his scouter before..." the queen thought as she returned to her place.
Meanwhile the fight had turned into a one way beating: in the sky Cerealic was holding the hybrid by the arm and with the other hand he punched the half saiyan boy, Gohan was out of ideas and nearly out of energies.
"Gohan" he heard the sob of her mother in the distance who was witnessing the worst sight of her life. The other fighters of Earth were horrified too, Piccolo gripped his hands as he was ready to intervine the moment Gohan's life was about to be threatened.
"I'm sorry mom" Gohan thought as he closed his eyes.
"If only I was stronger I could have defeated him like you did with that saiyan..." Gohan was now remembering the story her mother told him one time when he went to train on the lookout, the story of how she fought that saiyan, but this memory sparked a new hope for The son of Chi Chi.
With the last of his energies Gohan was able to free himself from the saiyan's grip and then he dodge a punch, without losing any time he then flew above Cerealic and put his hands together and punched him down on the ground then he immediately started shooting a series of weak ki blasts. Cerealic tried to dodge them at first but then he saw that none were hitting him.
"What is he aiming at?" Cerealic asked himself confused, then a cloud of dust began to form around him. In the distance Piccolo smirked as he understood what his pupil was trying to do.
"I get it now!" Cerealic thought but as he tried to fly away from the cloud but he was hit by a ki blast that made him crush against the ground, but by the time he got back up it was already too late.
"Masenko!" Gohan yelled and the attack hit Cerealic head on, the saiyan boy had no time at all to react. When the cloud of dust cleared Cerealic was on the ground nearly unconscious with the upper body of his armor completely vaporized. Gohan quickly fell down on the ground as he felt he had no more energies.
"Gohan you did it!" Chi Chi yelled with joy as she went to hug his boy.
"It was a good f-fight" Cerealic said while laying on the ground, Gohan simply looked at him he didn't know what to think of the saiyan boy, he acted as a normal child but he could also be a very brutal and cold warrior.
"Are all saiyans childrean like him?" Gohan wondered, for the first time curious about his origins.
"Mh what a disgrace" Gerkin said as he looked at his defeated pupil then he spit on the ground.
"You had a lot of potential boy" The queen said with a tone of disappointment.
"You would have won if you had went for the kill instead of playing around" she continued.
"B-but I didn't want to kill him" Cerealic explained, but then something big approached the boy. Cerealic couldn't really see well with an eye half opened, he only saw that someone had covered his view of the sun, the culprit was non other than Nappa.
"A snipeneless weakling like you doesn't deverse to live in our empire" Nappa said furiously then he raised a foot and tried to stomp on Cerealic.
"No Stop!" Gohan screamed as he rushed the giant, when Nappa turned around he was hit in the face by Gohan, the tall saiyan stumbled backwards and put his hands on his bloodied face. The scene made the queen chuckle, but it also intrigued her.
"I thought the boy was out of energies" Hanasia thought looking at his grandson.
"You broke my nose you damn brat!" Nappa screamed.
Nappa then flew towards Gohan and punched him in the head, the son of Goku was sent flying he then hit the ground and immediately fainted from the pain. Nappa then tried to finish the job as he blasted the unconscious kid on the ground, but the blast was deflected by Piccolo. Soon after Yamcha and Chiaotzu also joined the namekian while Chi Chi went to his son.
"Now we can fight" Piccolo said gritting his teeth.
