"You want to die first green man?" Nappa yelled as blood kept coming out of his broken nose. The bold saiyan went on the attack while Vegeta was trying to calm him down from the scouter, but Nappa didn't hear him as he had gone berserk from the rage and humiliation he felt since the moment he arrived on this cursed planet. Piccolo was on his part furious too, seeing Gohan hurt somehow made him feel sad and angry.
The two bold men crushed into one another until they started punching each other. For some moments the two fighters exchanged hits, but soon it became clear that the tall saiyan was on a different level compared to the son of the great demon. As their duel continued the saiyan's hits started to get quicker and stronger until Piccolo tried to block a punch but his whole arm was cut clean off. Goku's rival screamed in pain as he jumped backwards.
"I can't win if I fight him head on" Piccolo thought as he turned around and saw Chiaotzu and Yamcha, the namekian then nodded. When Piccolo turned back to Nappa the tall saiyan was already attacking him again but before he could reach the namekian he felt a strange pain in his stomach, in that moment of distraction Piccolo kneed him in the head then Yamcha punched him in the stomach. The plan they had made during their training was simple: when Chiaotzu used his power to paralyze the opponent they would attack, but when the small human had to rest had to rest they kept a good distance from the enemy.
"They are trying to tire me out with this cowardly strategy" Nappa thought as he tried to hit his enemy but they kept dodging his attacks. After some minutes of this cycle Chiaotzu's attack grew weaker while Nappa became more accostumed to it. When the saiyan felt again the attack he acted like he was in pain as he put his hands on the stomach and started screaming, the namekian then flew towards Nappa.
"Now" Nappa thought as he dodged Piccolo's kick that was aimed at his bold head, the tall saiyan then kicked the namekian in the stomach sending him flying away. The saiyan elite then turned his attention to the human, Yamcha tried to defend himself but Nappa's attacks were too quick for him. When Vegeta's teacher broke the the human's guard he hit the ex bandit in the chest breaking most of his ribs, Yamcha coughed some blood as he fell down on one knee, but before Nappa could land another hit on the human he felt the strange pain again and then he was hit head on by a ki blast from Piccolo, the attack created a giant cloud of dust around the saiyan.
"You worms are so annoying" Nappa yelled as the cloud dissipated. Piccolo's blood ran cold as he saw that the saiyan was completely unscathed, his attack had only destroyed his armor while making the elite even angrier.
Meanwhile Chi Chi had taken Gohan away from the fight and had given him a senzu bean and she was now waiting for him to wake up.
"Mom?" Gohan said as he opened his eyes.
"Gohan you did it!" she congratulated the boy, but the pupil of Piccolo paid little attention to his mother's praise.
"Mom why are we here? What happened to me before?" Gohan asked confused remembering little of what happened after he won his fight.
"Gohan you won you can go now, Goku will come to save us" Chi Chi said trying to convince Gohan to leave the battle.
"No Piccolo and the others still need me" Gohan said as he began to walk in the direction of the battle, but a hand stopped him from leaving, it was his mother's.
"Gohan please you have done enough... I can't see you hurt like that again" Chi Chi pleaded.
"Mom I know I can make the difference I already did in the last battle, please" Gohan tried to explain to his mother who was on the verge of tears. Chi Chi went to hug his son wishing for this moment to never end, then the two warriors flew back to the battlefiled together.
When they reached the area they didn't see of hear any actual fighting, but when they landed on the ground they witnessed a gruesome sight: Piccolo and Yamcha were in a very bad shape bloodied and bruised, it looked like Nappa had tortured them but luckily they were somehow still alive as they felt their faint ki.
"Mom give them a senzu" Gohan screamed in shock and Chi Chi ran to her allies and feed them the magic beams.
"These were the last ones" Chi chi thought as she looked into the empty bag in her hands.
"Wait... where is Chiaotzu?" Gohan asked himself but as he turned around he saw Nappa in the distance, he was holding Tien's friend by the head as he tried to crush his skull. At this sight Gohan went once more in a blind fury, Nappa's scouter immediately reacted at this increase in energy.
"What is it now" Nappa asked annoyed but as he turned around he was kicked on the head by the hybrid this made the saiyan let go of Chiaotzu who fell on the ground.
"I won't be humiliated by this brat again!" Nappa thought furious but when tried to punch Gohan Nappa's hand broke as if he had punched a block of katchin.
"What the hell is he made of?" the saiyan yelled as he flew up in the sky and fired a series of ki attacks, the saiyan then smirked as he thought he had just ended the fight.
"Mh not so tough afterall boy" the elite said then he turned his attention back to the earthlings, but out of nowhere his scouter went crazy and Nappa looked down to the cloud of dust.
"What? I-it can't be!" Nappa's jaw dropped as he read what his scouter had detected.
"This thing must be broken!" Nappa tried to find an explanation, but by now the cloud had dissipated and he saw Gohan still standing without a bruise.
"How about this!" Nappa screamed becoming more desperate as he raised two fingers, the attack created a giant explosion that shacked the ground.
"This had to shut him down for good" Nappa said assured of his victory, but all of a sudden something flew out of the cloud of dust: it was Gohan. In an instant they boy was above the saiyan as he put his hands together and punched him down on the ground, then he rushed the bold man and started to hit him with a series of kicks and punches, the saiyan elite was being pummeled and couldn't defence himself from the brutal the boy's brutal assault.
"Incredible" Hanasia thought as she looked at the fight.
"He definately got a zenkai boost from his last fight, but this power is something else... it's insane for a child to be this strong" she said aloud, she then turned her scouter on.
"A power of 20000, he became twice as strong in a matter of minutes?" the queen read shocked, Gerking too was impressed by the display of power.
After some moments the beatdown abruptly stopped as Gohan came back to his senses, he didn't know where he was or what he was doing.
"He looks more calm now and is power has already dropped by half" the queen thought as she tried to understand her grandson's power.
In this moment of distraction Nappa got back on his feet and went and punched the kid in the face
"You are finally out of energies, I won't let you escape this time brat" Nappa exclaimed as he attacked the boy, this time the roles were reversed as the bold saiyan destroyed the hybrid with a series of punches kicks and headbutts, he wanted the boy to suffer before he killed him.
"Gohan!" Chi Chi tried to intervine but she was punched away by Nappa, the bold saiyan had been weakened by the fight and by the beating he had received but he was still superior to the earthlings.
"Mh let's end this" Nappa said as grabbed Gohan by a leg and then he threw him away. Gohan crushed on the ground, he felt like his whole body was about to break. When the hybrid tried to get back on his feet he saw Nappa charging a powerful ki blast aimed at him.
"Goodbye forever weakling!" Nappa yelled as he fired his attack, but before the ki blast could reach the boy his master jumped in front of the attack, the namekian then closed his eyes.
"I am such a fool, in the end I went out saving him" Piccolo thought as he waited for an immense pain to engulf his body, but that pain strangely never came. When the namekian opened his eyes he saw that someone else had also jumped in front of him. The brave warrior stood for a few second before he collapsed on the ground.
"Yamcha... why did you do that?" Piccolo asked, the namekian felt a mix of shock and confusion at the situation.
"Don't be mistaken I didn't do it for you, I did it for Kami and for the dragon balls" Yamcha explained as he laid on the ground dying.
"But... also because you are the only one that can stand a chance against that monster" Yamcha said as a tear fell down his cheek.
"So please p-promise me that you will keep everyone s-safe while I'm gone" Yamcha added. Piccolo stayed silent as he didn't know what to think, he was the incarnation of evil, was he? But then why did he jump in front of that attack? He really wanted to save that boy? His son's rival? A simple weapon he was gonna use to conquer the universe, he wanted to answer so desprerately but maybe during the time they shared together this boy had become something more for him. Piccolo's thoughts were interrupted when he layed eyes on the defeated warrior, this time when he looked at him he felt like all his doubts went away.
Piccolo crouched near Yamcha then he wishpered something in his ear, a smile formed on the face of the hero as he soon after died.
Gohan looked at the scene from a distance he tried to get up but he didn't have enough energies left to do so.
"Yamcha..." Gohan said as he looked at his body.
Chi Chi was also able to watch, she felt sorry for Yamcha but she was more perplexed by the namekian's actions.
"Why did Piccolo jump to protect my son?" the wife of Goku thought confused and shocked, but the battlefield wasn't the place to stay still and think as the saiyan was already near Piccolo.
"Don't be sad you will soon join him" Nappa mocked the namekian as a sick grin formed on his face. The fight between Piccolo and Nappa resumed as they exchanged punches and kicks, but the saiyan was still the strongest of the two even after firing that powerful ki attack. Nappa easyly kicked Piccolo in the legs as the namekian fell down, Nappa then tried to finish his enemy off with a stomp but all of a sudden the saiyan was kneed in the back of his head as he was sent flying away.
Chi Chi landed near Piccolo who was still on the ground, the woman then offered her hand the namekian hesitated for a second but then accepcted her help as he got back on his feet.
"T-Thanks" Piccolo said but Chi Chi stayed silent she then turned her attention to the saiyan, in the distance Nappa was already flying back to fight them.
"How can he be so resistant? Maybe it's time if I use the makankosappo" Piccolo thought.
"Chi Chi you need to by me some time" the evil half explained, Chi Chi nodded and went to face the saiyan alone while the namekian charged his most powerful attack. The two warriors fought each other for some moments then Nappa elbowed Chi Chi in the face, the attack was followed by a kick in the side of her chest, Chi Chi felt like she would break in two but she braced the pain and kicked Nappa on the nose. The tall saiyan screamed in pain as his nose had already been broken by her son.
"You are Kakarot's mate aren't you? I can't wait to see his reaction when I will show him your dead body" Nappa yelled angrily, but when the saiyan took a fighting stance he got distracted by his scouter that had detected the rising power of the namekian.
"You were trying to distract me you bitch!" Nappa screamed as he punched Chi Chi away and flew in the direction of Piccolo, the namekian was able to dodge the saiyan attacks as he kept charging his attack. The namekian then flew in the sky as he started to create clones of himself, meanwhile the light on his forehead grew in scope as every second passed.
"You bastard!" Nappa screamed as he started to fire ki blasts in all of the directions, one ki blast hit the foot of the original copy, while the other copies where destroyed.
"Found you!" Nappa exclaimed as he flew towards Piccolo but before he could do anything he was blasted in the back by Chi Chi. In that moment of distraction Piccolo fired his attack.
"Makankosappo!" he yelled as the spiral attack reached the saiyan, all that Nappa could do was try to defend himself from the attack as he put his hands foward. The namekian's attack easily penetrated the saiyan's hands and then the ki spiral reached the chest of the saiyan. Piccolo smirked but then he saw that the attack wasn't strong enought to pass through, the son of the great demon couldn't belive what he was witnessing: his most powerful attack wasn't strong enough to kill the saiyan.
"If I hadn't blocked that attack with my hands I would be dead right now" Nappa thought as blood poured of his mouth, the attack had dealt a significant blow to his chest as it left a giant bleeding wound.
But Nappa was quick to resume fighting as he headbutted Piccolo then quickly turned around and blasted Chi Chi away.
"This ends now!" Nappa screamed as he raised two fingers.
Age 763, king Yenma's palace.
Kami had been waiting for hours for the students of king Kai to arrive.
"What is the situation on Earth king Yenma?" the god of Earth asked in a worried tone.
"Well I don't know how the battle is going but I just received news that the soul of a human called Yamcha just arrived here and is in the line for the afterlife" the judge of the dead explained.
"Yamcha... I'm so sorry I wasn't there" Kami thought as he looked down on the ground.
"Please once he is here send him to train too, if we will still have the dragon balls in a year from now we will revive him" Kami said trying to reassure himself.
"Sure" the king simply answered, but before they could continue talking a massive gust of wind entered in the palace of the judge of the dead, Kami looked to the snake way and saw three people flying in his direction.
"It's them!" Kami yelled with joy.
"There is still hope afterall" he thought with a smile, in an instant the warriors reached the guardian of Earth.
"They are so fast!" Kami thought shocked.
"Sorry for being late Kami, are we ready to go?" Goku said with a chuckle.
"Yes, quick everyone grab my arm" The guardian of Earth commanded and then teleported the fighters to the lookout.
"Go to master Korin he will give you all the senzus he has left" Kami explained as all the warriors jumped from the temple in the sky and flew downward.
"Korin I need some senzus" Goku yelled as he reached the magic cat's palace.
"Alright Goku but I've only got five left" the cat answered as he throw the magic beans at the three fighters, they all catched and ate them and Crillin kept the remaing two. The fighters then kept flying until they were about to reach the ground.
"Flying nimbus" Goku yelled the cloud immediately answered the call and Goku jumped on it, the defenders of Earth then flew towards the most powerful ki sources they could feel.
