The battlefield on the outskirts of Vale was a tumultuous scene, the sky dark with storm clouds and the air crackling with tension. Grimm and enemy forces clashed with Huntsmen and Huntresses, each fighting for the fate of Remnant.

Weiss blocked an attack with Myrtenaster, her eyes catching sight of a familiar figure lying in the rubble, bleeding and unconscious. "Aiden! Adam, we need to get to him!" she called out urgently.

Adam glanced at Aiden and then nodded, his expression hardening. He stepped in front of Weiss, blocking another wave of Grimm. "Stay close. I'll clear a path," he instructed.

Together, they moved, Adam slashing through Grimm while Weiss fended off attacks from the sides. They reached Aiden, who lay severely wounded and unconscious. Kneeling beside him, Weiss spoke with urgency, "He's losing a lot of blood. We need to get him out of here."

Adam stood guard, his eyes scanning the battlefield. "Hurry up. I'll cover you."

Weiss worked quickly, using her semblance to create a barrier around them. She began to treat Aiden's wounds with whatever supplies she had. "Why are you helping us, Adam? This isn't like you," she asked, her voice filled with curiosity and suspicion.

Adam fought off Grimm, his voice strained. "I'm not doing this for you. Aiden… he's different. He never gave up on what he believed, even when it cost him everything."

A particularly large Grimm charged at them. Adam stepped in front of Weiss, taking the brunt of the attack but managing to fend it off. Weiss looked up, surprised. "Adam…"

Gritting his teeth and holding his ground, Adam responded, "Just get him stable. We need to move."

With Adam's protection, Weiss stabilized Aiden enough to move him. Together, they lifted him, Weiss supporting one side and Adam the other. Weiss nodded to Adam. "Let's go."

Adam nodded back, his expression serious. "Stay close. We'll get through this."

They made their way through the battlefield, Adam clearing the way while Weiss shielded Aiden. Despite their differences, they worked in unison, driven by the need to save Aiden and survive the chaos.

As they reached a safer area, the intensity of the battle began to fade. They laid Aiden down gently, both exhausted but alive. Breathing heavily, Weiss looked at Adam. "Thank you."

Adam was silent for a moment, then nodded. "This doesn't change anything between us, Schnee. But maybe… it's a start."

Weiss nodded, her expression softening. "Maybe."

They sat beside Aiden, who was resting after being stabilized. The night was quiet for a moment, a brief respite from the chaos. Weiss gently adjusted Aiden's bandages. "Thank you for helping us, Adam. I never thought I'd see the day we'd fight side by side."

Adam looked away, his expression conflicted. "This isn't about us, Schnee. Aiden deserves better than this."

Weiss nodded, then hesitated before speaking again. "Adam… can I ask you something?"

Adam's eyes narrowed slightly, wary. "What is it?"

"Your brand. How did it happen?" she asked gently.

Adam took a deep breath, the memories clearly painful. "The Schnee Dust Company. I was just a child, working in one of their mines. When I tried to escape, they branded me. It was a reminder of what I was—property, nothing more."

Weiss's eyes softened with sympathy. "I'm sorry, Adam. I had no idea. No one should have to endure that."

Bitterly, Adam responded, "It's a little late for apologies, don't you think?"

"Maybe. But I can still try to make things right," Weiss said determinedly.

Weiss knelt beside Adam, examining the brand on his face. She touched it gently, her aura shimmering with the light of her semblance. "I've been working on a new application of my time dilation semblance. I think I can use it to heal old wounds, to reverse the damage."

Adam tensed, unsure. "Why would you do that for me?"

Weiss met his gaze, her eyes sincere. "Because no one should carry such a painful reminder of their past. And because I believe in a better future for all of us."

Focusing, her semblance glowed brighter. She channeled her power into the brand on Adam's face, concentrating deeply. "This might hurt a little. Hold still."

Adam nodded, gritting his teeth as the light intensified. "Do what you need to do."

The light enveloped the brand, and Adam winced as the old scar began to mend. The process was slow, but the brand gradually faded, the skin healing and becoming smooth once more. Breathing heavily, her aura dimming, Weiss said, "There. It's not perfect, but… it's a start."

Adam touched his face, feeling the smooth skin where the brand once was. He looked at Weiss, a mix of emotions in his eyes. "Why, Weiss? Why help me?"

Smiling softly, Weiss replied, "Because I believe in redemption, Adam. And because I see a world where Faunus and humans can live together in peace. We have to start somewhere."

Adam looked at her, the anger and bitterness in his eyes softening for the first time. The truce between them, fragile but real, held a glimmer of hope for the future.

Aiden began to stir, his eyes fluttering open. He was weak and barely able to speak. "Weiss… Adam…?" he whispered.

Weiss's eyes widened, tears welling up as she leaned over him. "Aiden! You're awake!" she exclaimed, hugging him gently, tears of relief streaming down her face. "I was so scared. I'm so glad you're okay."

Adam watched them, a complicated expression on his face. "Take it easy, Aiden. You're safe now."

Aiden weakly smiled. "Thank you… both of you."

Weiss continued to hold Aiden, her tears mingling with her smile as the night around them began to quiet, a fragile peace settling over the trio
