Hey guys, Kurama here with another chapter of Gamer of the Digital World and I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

So let's begin!
-Timeskip-
It's been a couple of weeks since I got some new Digimon and following that, we frequently kept going into the Digital World to see if Ken set up a Control Spire but to our surprise, he hasn't done anything of the sort.
This is a bit concerning because this isn't like him to just give up like that so either he's planning something big or he has given up being the Digimon Emperor.
I did go on a couple of dates with Kari, which brought her [REP] to 95, making me hopeful that I would get a [Perk] once it was at 100.
The others told some stories about she would often get sick during their old days as Digidestined and this one time where she got possessed by this weird entity, who never did reveal its name so that's probably the Homeostasis.
I do wonder how am I gonna get her out without hurting or worse, killing Kari 'cause as it stands, I don't have any ideas as to how I'm gonna perform this task.
The more I see Kari, the more fearful I grow of the fact that one day, this thing could take over her and who knows what its true goal is?!
I guess the only thing I can do for now is to get everyone to Mega level so that way if the Homeostasis ever decides to show up, I'll be ready to take her down, alongside the others of course.
Other than that, I guess I could explore the digital world today since there's nothing for me to do.
I grab my Digivices and point them to my computer screen as DemiVeemon climbs over my shoulder.
"Ready buddy?"I ask him and he nods excitedly.
"Alright then! DigiPort open!"I shout as we're transported to the digital world but this place is a lot edgier than the other places I've been to so far.
"Davis, I've got a bad feeling about this place. We should leave while we have the chance or at least get some backup."Veemon says as my eyes widen into shock 'cause this is the first time that I've seen Veemon scared like this so it's probably a good idea for us to go back to the real world but I don't see any TVs nearby.
"Okay, this is very weird. Where are we anyway?"I ask as I and Veemon walk around this strange place, hoping to find a TV so we could escape but the only thing here is pure darkness.
"Alright, no more games! Come out, you dumb bag of thrash!"I yell as a bunch of creatures step out of the water with a huge octopus dragon-lookalike monster coming out of the surface of the water.
I use [Observe] on it to see its level and stats.

Stasis of light? Is it talking about Kari?
"Veemon! Time to kick some butt!"I shout to my partner as I take out my D-3 and Fusion Loader from my [Inventory], ready for combat.
I summon all of my Digimons and have them evolve to their strongest forms while I take out my Brave set and Brave Burst and equip them onto me while slipping into a fighting stance as the Depthmon all charge at me while my Digimon attack Dragomon.
I use [Ruler's Touch] to attract them to me so I can safely eliminate them with a combination of [Water Slash] and [Power Strike].
Once they're all dead, I rush over to Paildramon, who looks a bit worse for wear but he should be back on his feet once he gets enough rest.
"BlackMetalGreymon, BlackWereGarurumon! It's time to unleash it!"I yell at them as they begin Digivolving into their mega forms respectively, BlackWarGreymon and BlackMetalGarurumon and then, they combine into one badass Digimon.
Omnimon Zwart, the presumed annihilator of Dragomon and all who dare stand in my way.
"Now then, let's finish him!"I shout to Omnimon, who nods and turns his Garuru arm into a canon.
"Choke on this! SUPREME CANON!"He roars as he fires a huge blast of energy at the Digimon, who screams in agony before roaring in anger at Omnimon Zwart, who just looks at him as if he's a spoiled child throwing a tantrum.
No more wasting time. I need to get out of this place.
"Omnimon Zwart, it's time to finish this. Susanoomon, Omnimon Zwart, Digifuse!"I shout as my two most powerful Digimon combine into one being of absolute destruction.
"Omnimon Zwart x2!" The newly fused Digimon shouts, ready to destroy that stupid Dragon Digimon.
If he thinks he can get to the Real World to take Kari and destroy the others, he better think twice before I let that happen.
"Do you think you can defeat me?! Dragomon, the most powerful Digimon in the Dark Ocean?!" Dragomon roars in anger.
"Yeah, we're going to obliterate you for good," I reply coldly.
I look at Omnimon Zwart who nods his head knowing that it's time to finish this.
Dragomon starts to fly at us in a pure amount of rage just so he could kill us and take Kari as a hostage.
"Die, human!" Dragomon roars in anger.
I won't let him destroy the real world and the Digital world while I'm around here.
But if I die, then who's going to protect the others and both worlds?
I hold my Digivices, channelling my hidden anger towards the enemy who's in front of me.
"The one who should just die is you. Omnimon Zwart, show him no mercy." I say coldly to Omnimon Zwart.
"With pleasure, boss." Omnimon Zwart replies coldly.
Omnimon Zwart then charges himself at Dragomon, who begins to attack the powerful fused Digimon who is dodging at the same time.
I use [Power Strike] and [Burst Punch] at Dragomon to make sure that I got enough energy to [D.N.A. Charge] so that Agumon can digivolve into a different Greymon.
At this point, it's not worth trying to make Agumon digivolve because Omnimon Zwart is officially a powerhouse.
Omnimon Zwart starts to slash Dragomon who begins to roar in agony and pain which makes me smile evilly.
Just the thought of him screaming in pain is music to my ears.
"Die Dragomon. SUPREME CANNON!" Omnimon Zwart shouts as he fires a powerful blast at Dragomon who shields himself to survive the attack.
I punch the dragon Digimon hard just to make sure he would turn into nothingness.
"How can this be?! I am the most powerful Digimon in the Digital world! How can I be defeated by a mere human and his Digimon?! Noooooo!" Dragomon shouts as he couldn't comprehend the power of a Digidestined of miracles and his Digimon partners.
And finally, Dragomon is turned into pixels which means he's dead.
At long freaking last, I have almost completed the [Quest].
Hang on Kari, just hang on a little longer and then, you'll be free from the darkness.
-Ken's POV-
The last time I went to the Digital world, Davis humiliated me in front of his pathetic friends.
But this time, it will be different because I'm gonna be creating the ultimate Digimon.
A powerful Digimon that will destroy those foolish Digidestineds and their Digimon.
I will rule the Digital world with an iron fist and show no mercy to my enemies.
I will continue to rule the Digital world as the Digimon Emperor.
That is my destiny that I shall achieve and no one's going to prevent that from happening.
-Back to POV-
I continue to walk with Veemon but there's something wrong with us.
Normally, we would find the others but this getting annoying and frustrating.
At this point, I'll never save Kari if I don't find her body.
THUD!*
Ow!
What gives?
Wait a second, is that-
Yes, it's Kari's body.
I take a quick look and see that it's Kari's body, floating around but trapped in the cocoon.
Game, how do I do this without killing Kari and destroying the cocoon?
Try to focus your mana and use one of your skills which should work to destroy the Homeostasis.
This has to work somehow, right?
Yes, it will work.
It has to.
I take a couple of steps back and take a deep breath to save Kari.
"Stay back Vee. This might take a while." I say to my partner as he begins to step back a few feet away from me and Kari.
I start to gather my MP and fire it at Kari's body which begins to tremble at the sudden intake of energy.
The cocoon around her begins to crack, which proves that I'm doing a good job so far.
I continue to fire it at the cocoon which continues to crack and I have to say that I am doing this because I want to complete the [Quest].
I keep on firing it at the cocoon when all of a sudden, the cocoon is glowing with an amount of energy and it's about to explode.
I use [Skill Create] to create a new [Skill] that it's going to explode in less than a few seconds.
Mana Barrier LVL: 1/15 [0%]
Description: This allows you to protect yourself and your allies, including blocking attacks from enemy Digimon.
Please work.
I use [Mana Barrier] to shield myself and Veemon from the explosion.
BOOM!*
The dust begins to settle and I'm alive including Veemon thanks to this awesome [Skill].
Oh no, where's Kari's body?
I use [Sprint] to search for Kari's body and it looks like she's fading away.
I don't get it, why didn't it work?
I see a silhouette glowing meaning that the Homeostasis is destroyed and Kari's body is returning to the original body of Kari.
I did it!
I see a [Notification] pops up so I mentally press it.
Quest alert!
Only one can claim her!
Objectives: Separate the Homeostasis from Kari's body without killing her.
Bonus objectives: Find a way to take its powers without dying in the process.
Rewards: 10,000 EXP, 50,000$, Digi-Egg of light and REP increase with Kari.
Bonus rewards: 50,000 EXP, 150,000$, random Skill Book, Massive REP increase with Kari and Skill Living Light unlocked.
Failures: She will keep being possessed, REP decrease with Kari and eventual death due to Kari's insanity.

All of these are very good [Perks] but I've got to pay attention to Kari.
She stirs for a bit but wakes up and hugs me while I enjoy her gesture.
Since we're still in danger, we let go of each other and begin to look for a random tv so that we could leave because if we don't, Tai's gonna kick my butt again.
That memory is still haunting me to this day.
I continue to look around with Kari and after a while, we find what we're looking for and put our Digivices in front of the tv and leave the Dark Ocean, a small smile etched on our faces as we leave the wretched place.
We then walk to Kari's home and once she's home, I walk back home with a tired smile on my face.
I finally did it!
I saved Kari from Homeostasis but the question is why did it choose Kari in the first place?
Could it have been watching Kari for a long time so it could pick her as its host?
I lay on my bed with these thoughts still running through my mind before deciding to sleep on it.
Future Davis can take care of that problem himself.
With those thoughts out of my mind, I finally enter a peaceful sleep.
