It's been a few weeks since I freed Kari from the Homeostasis by fighting Dragomon in the Dark Ocean. Following those events, I trained my other Digimons while looking for a few more in my arsenal.
Mikemon, BlackGatomon, DemiDevimon, Phascomon, Syakkomon, Witchmon and Impmon all managed to get to the Ultimate level with both Impmon and Phascomon soon reaching the Mega level should they keep training intensely.
Lalamon, Gaomon, Falcomon, Renamon, Wizardmon Gammamon, Agumon, Veemon and Strabimon, which is a Digimon I got from the Old Man at the shop a few weeks ago can now go Mega, which is a big achievement in and out of itself since I now have more than enough firepower to destroy Ken and his enslaved Digimon.
As for my new Digimon, I got Dorumon, Hackmon, Patamon, Lopmon, Gazimon, Kudamon, Kotemon, Hagurumon, Betamon, Candlemon, Guilmon, and 2 Dracomons, who are all at Champion level so far but I trust that they'll be to get to Ultimate by the end of the month.
I'm currently lying in my bed thinking about a way to stop Ken's plans when it hits me.
What if I have Izzy track Ken down, using a program that uses the energy signature of the non-existing Control Spires?
I text my idea to the others via D-Terminal and grab my two Digivices as I stand up and head out of my house.
Veemon is already in my Fusion Loader so I don't have to worry about forgetting him.
"Hey Davis, what's the plan for when we get to Izzy's? Just have him track down Ken?" Veemon asks from within the Fusion Loader.
"Pretty much but don't worry, I've got a plan B in case this doesn't work," I reply to him, getting some odd looks from the people around me as I'm halfway to school.
"And that is...?"
"We'll just have you Positron Laser every place where there was a Control Spire. It shouldn't be that hard." I answer easily.
"That's the dumbest idea I've ever heard from you," Veemon replies with a deadpan expression.
"I mean, it is an idea but you're right, it could be workshopped a bit more," I reply as I enter the school and walk to the computer room since that's where I'm meeting up with the others to start my plan.
I enter the room, only to find myself alone in it, then sit on a nearby chair and wait for everyone to arrive.
Laying in the chair, I fall asleep since there's no way I can grind while waiting for the others to show up.
I put my two Digivices in my [Inventory] and then fall asleep,

"Damn it all!" Ken roared as he kicked his chair away, clutching his D-3 tightly.
The past few weeks have been... rather difficult for the Digimon Emperor or more specifically his method of dealing with a thorn in his side.
That thorn is none other than Davis Motomiya, who for some god-forsaken reason is always able to thwart his plans no matter what level the Controlled Digimon is or how much work he puts into making the Dark Rings.
The first plan was to strengthen the Dark Rings, which would hopefully allow enslaved Digimon to Digivolve whenever he wanted and increase the durability of the upgraded Dark Rings.
The problem is the size of the Dark Ring would make it a much bigger target than the original Dark Ring, which meant that it would be easier for those Digidestined pricks to destroy it.
Ken had the bright idea of turning the Dark Ring into a... Dark Spiral?
Yeah, that name was perfect!
It should send some shivers down those bastards' spines.
But back to the main problem, Motomiya and his Digimon could go to the Mega Level without any problem while he struggled to control a few Ultimates.
'Perhaps I should look into training the apex of each Digimon species I control and have Wormmon put them into categories so I'll know which one needs to go to Mega.' He thought, a small forming itself on his face as gears continued to spin in his head.
Once his Dark Spiral was created and given to the strongest Digimon, he would find a way to combine the Control Spires, Dark Rings and Dark Spirals to make his enslaved Digimon able to reach beyond the Mega level.
That Digimon should be enough to deal with the Digidestined and the rest of their allies.
With a small sigh, Ken stood up and walked to his monitor.
'Soon Digidestined, soon you will pay for making a fool out of me. That is a promise.' Ken thought, a lone smile creeping its way on his face as more sinister thoughts clouded his mind.
-Davis-
"Yo Davis!" Tai's voice echoes in the distance as I let out a yelp and fall out of the chair I was sleeping in.
"Ever heard of nudging the person awake?" I grumble, standing up to give a quick peck to Kari.
"You looked like a baby when sleeping so we decided to wait a few minutes but you know... Tai is Tai so he got to wake you up immediately." Kari explains.
"Thanks for the support, Kari," Tai grumbles while my girlfriend just giggles at his misfortune.
"Right, we're all here so let's hear your idea, Davis." T.K. chimes in.
"I was thinking that Izzy could make a program that could track down Ken Ichijouji using the program of Control Spires when we get to the Digital World," I tell them, getting some looks of hope from the others while Izzy remains skeptical.
"I'm not sure if I'll be able to do that Davis. The program that the Digimon Emperor used is extremely complex and from what my computer scanned, it appears to be self-updating every week." Izzy replies, making us all groan in frustration but ultimately understanding Izzy's point of view.
It was an idea but with how smart Ken is, I'm not surprised that he came up with this idea so that would mean we need to track him down from within the Digital World.
"How many Control Spires were there anyway?" T.K. asks the Digidestined of Knowledge.
"Gimme a few seconds..." Izzy replies, clacking his keyboard for a minute or two before light seems to shine from within his eyes.
"About 180 of them and they all seem to originate from a place in the sky. It appears to be some sort of floating castle." Izzy explains further.
"So that's so not gonna be hard to deal with." I deadpan sarcastically.
"Well, we should probably get started on finding him so everyone, let's go to the Digital World," Tai tells us as we all respond with a nod and then point our Digivices to the computer screen.
"Digiport Open!" We all shout as we are sucked into the computer and then reappear in the Digi-World without falling on top of each other like we used to do.
Without saying so much as a word, we then set out to the source of the Control Spires' energy.
A [Notification] then pops up so I mentally open it.
Quest changed
Fall of the Emperor
Objective: Defeat Ken Ichijouji
Rewards: 2000 EXP, 2000$, Massive REP increased with Digidestined, Massive REP increased with ? and Demon King's Amulet.
Quest is auto-accepted.
The part that irks me about this [Quest] is that it doesn't specify who's the mysterious entity that's watching me.
It can't be the Homeostatsis since I pretty much extracted it from Kari's body so I doubt it'll see me in such a positive manner.
It can't be Ken either or at least I doubt it 'cause if he did, he would know how to gain the upper hand on us but that theory I just made would make sense as to why he took back the Control Spires from their respective Zones.

A high-level enemy has been detected near the Gamer's radar!
Gamer must evacuate the area immediately!
"Guys, there's a big power surge and it's heading towards us!" Izzy yells at us as we all stop dead in our tracks and look up in the sky.
"Hmmm... so you're the one who killed Dragomon. How interesting..." The Digimon says as he lands a few feet away from us.
It is a quadrupedal golden-yellow dragon with a long tail and neck, three toes on each foot, and a claw on each toe. Its body is covered in scales of Huanglong Ore.
It has eight red eyes—three on each side of the head, and two on its top.
It has two long horns on the back of its head, and six large tusks on its back.
All in all, this Digimon just radiates power and I'm not sure that all of our powers combined can stack up to this beast of a Digimon.
But there's something that he just said that doesn't sit well with me.
He's looking for me because I killed Dragomon so this meant that Dragomon worked for him and not for Ken like I thought he was.
Damn it.
This is not how I thought this was gonna go but it's fine I can handle this.
"Reload, everyone!" I yell, releasing all of my Digimons out of my Fusion Loader.
"Alright, you guys go on ahead to that location while I, Matt and Davis deal with that Digimon over there," Tai orders the rest of the Digidestined as I equip my fighting gear and sheath my sword onto my back.
"No way! We're gonna need the numbers advantage when we meet up with the Digimon Emperor so either we all stay here together or we all escape together." Sora replies.
"This is not the time for a lover's quarrel so can you two please focus on the job and do this later?" Mimi shouts, making Tai and Sora blush as she takes out her Data Link Burst Digivice from her pocket.
"I agree with her. You two can make out later." Izzy chimes in.
"Oh shut up Izzy! Let's not sit here and act like you don't have a crush on Mimi." Tai yells at him.
"Wait, you have a crush on me?"
"Not the time!" I yell out as they shift their focus on the current situation, which is this guy.
A quick [Observe] is enough to tell me that we are incredibly screwed.
Or as Tai would've put it, we're royally fucked.
That guy is Huanglomon, a high Mega-level Digimon, who's said to be on par with the Royal Knights and the Demon Lords.
He might be on par with them but he's not gonna be on par with us!
"Guys, relax. I've got a plan but Kari, I need you to not worry." I tell them.
"Are you going to do that thing where you fight someone solo while we do something else?" T.K. asks cheekily but I know there's no malice in his tone so it's fine.
"Pretty much. I have the firepower to destroy him but I can't risk losing the chance to face Ken and stop him so you guys go and I'll catch up once I'm done with him." I explain.
"Promise me you'll be careful." Kari pleads.
"Always." She then hugs me for a few seconds and lets me go.
The rest of them do the same and continue their trek to find Ken.
"Not so fast! You're going to stay right here." Huanglomon shouts, closing in on the others.
"You're gonna stay right here and eat lead motherflipper! SUPREME CANON!" Omnimon Zwart shouts the last part as he fires off a powerful blast at Huanglomon's face, sending him flying a few feet away from us.
Standing in front of me are my three strongest Digi
"Omnimon Zwart, Susanoomon, Rasenmon, Boutmon, Dynasmon and Imperialdramon, DIGIFUSE!" I order, thrusting my Fusion into the sky as the selected Digimon glows a cyan blue light and then combines into one.
"Imperialdramon x5!" The new Imperialdramon shouts, holding a pitch-black longsword with the head of Wargreymon on the hilt and the head of Garurumon covering Imperialdramon's canon.
"Sakuyamon, Shinegreymon, MirageGaogamon, Rosemon and Ravemon, DIGIFUSE!" I command once more.
"Sakuyamon x4!" The new version of Sakuyamon shouts.
There wasn't any big changes to her except for the fact she now has two katanas resting on her back and her staff is a bit larger than before.
"The rest of you guys, Digivolve into your strongest forms." I shout, thrusting my Fusion Loader into the sky as my unfused Digimons all Digivolve into their currently most powerful forms and stare at Huanglomon, who lets out a small chuckle before it erupts into full blown laughter.
"Very well, boy. I shall show you the power of a true General that has been training with the Great Leviamon." Huanglomon shouts, flying towards us.
Twirling Brave Snatcher around, me and the rest of Digimon all lunge towards this supposed General.
Let's see what you got, Huanglomon.
