It was a quiet day at the Smash Mansion in Earthbound's Onett... hence 'was'. Sonic was running around at the speed of sound while being chased by the nefarious GUN Truck that destroyed various buildings and property in its wake, while Shadow and Silver were riding in a yellow taxi cab driving by B.D. Joe, the three wanting to have a thrill ride inside a taxi cab.
...Well, mostly Shadow, he just dragged Silver because he wanted to hear him squeal with fright.
"I still don't know why you brought me along on this!" Silver exclaimed as he tightened his seat belt as much as possible, being in the back.
"Because B.D. Joe is a great driver, and being in a crazy taxi is exhilarating!" Shadow stated as he had no seat belt on, being in the passenger's seat as he glanced at B. . "Yo Joe! Have you attempted doing a barrel roll before?"
"No, but I can sure try, dude! Hold on to your butts!" B.D. Joe exclaimed as he zipped the taxi cab up a nearby grassy hill, spinning the steering wheel as much as possible to cause the cab to spin like crazy, with the black human taxi cab driver and Shadow screaming with joy as Silver screamed, closing his eyes.
"Agh, this is just like Dark Pit forced me to go on the twirling roller coaster!" Silver exclaimed as he screamed louder than Shadow and B.D. Joe.
Meanwhile, R.O.B. was in the Smash Mansion, taking care of the hedgehogs' room as he heard a loud buzzing. Confused, the gray colored robot approaching the balcony, to get a look at what was causing the noise.
"What in the name of..." The Robotic Operating Buddy remarked as the yellow taxi cab landed on him, causing him to break into various metal parts as B.D. Joe drove through the room, going into the hallway as he knocked down various objects, background characters, Pokeball Pokemon, and Assist Trophies, with the cab approaching the cafeteria, causing food to go flying everywhere.
Sonic came running into the Smash Mansion as the GUN Truck followed, smashing the opening doors as the blue hedgehog zipped up the staircase, the monstrous truck following him. Sonic then ran past B.D. Joe , taking a glance to see Shadow and Silver in the cab as he paused, to see the trio in the cab somehow jump over the GUN Truck, which was temporarily in the air. The GUN Truck then slammed down on the ground, causing it to break through and land in the foundation holding up the hallway as the entire mansion began to crumble, with Sonic attempting to zip out as he tripped on some yarn that Lucas was knitting, causing him to fall flat on his face as the entire mansion collapsed.
Most of Onett was destroyed by the destruction wrought by the GUN Truck and the crazy taxi, with B.D. Joe still driving around the wrecked city alongside a thrilled Shadow and terrified Silver, with it beginning to become the evening.
