J and N Superstar Saga Chapter 21

The Landlocked Ship

J and N were in a rush and concerned, not only was Salem still causing trouble but now she has possessed Vrak's body going by Vralem now and has kidnapped Blaze and won't return her until she has the four soul pieces of Jirachi.

J and N have made it back to the Desert Wasteland to locate the Blue Soul Piece that landed here, as they track it they faced new enemies in the form of black lanky Heartless known as NeoShadows. But they soon make it to the spot to notice a ship in the middle of them.

"Wow…how do you think that ended up here?" N asked.

"Not sure." J said and looks at the side "S.S Kool-Aid, guess it used to be a transport ship for the Kool-Aid drink company, but I see something glowing up there."

N and J make there way up and jump onto the ship and see a blue glowing spirit of Jirachi. They found it but before they could grab it two langy like robots known as B1 Battle Droids come out and look at it.

"Whoa! Is this the thing that fell from the sky and crashed into the hatch with a thud?" One of the droids asked.

"It's got to be! And thanks to that, the hatch is busted!" The other droid said nodding. "This is terrible!"

"But hey! Whoa!" The first droid said looking at the soul piece "Just look at it sparkle and shine! I'm not sure what it is, but I'm putting it in the hold!" He picks it up and the two head back into the ship.

"Great…it can never be that easy" J said sighing.

"Well let's go after them I guess" N said and the two run into the ship as well.

As they board they found the battle droids on board quite civil and not at all threatening, so they were allowed to explore the ship. They found it was a ship transporting Kool-Aid via the crew talking and the crates of stuff.

One Battle Droid they talked to said "That Super Battle Droid is even more 'yvaeh' then before! And everyone's saying the crack in the wall is gradually getting bigger and bigger."

"What does that mean?" N asked him

"What's that? You don't know what an 'yvaeh' is?" The Battle Droid asked "Geez it's simple, try spelling it backwards."

"Oh….heavy" J whispered to N who gets it now.

They head down the stairs and see the Droid with the soul piece go into a room where another stands in front of the doorway guarding it.

"Um excuse us." N said as they approached.

"Hey! The storage area's this way!" The droid guard said holding his blaster "If you want to get in, you need a Membership Card for this ship! And if you want a Membership Card, try doing something that'll help out this ship!"

"Fine…" J said and they move out of the area and find the commander's quarters, a white large droid with gold highlights, a Super Tatical Droid "Excuse me, can you tell me why the ship is here?"

"So, you want to know why this ship is in the desert?" The Super Tatical Droid asked and J and N nod "Well, that's cause…See this is technically a sunken ship. It used to float. Then…well it sank. And then timed passed and passed and before we knew it, the ocean was a desert. It's been so long that out units are no doubt obsolete now."

J and N nod and keep moving and enter the recharge area of the ship. J notices a doorway with a barrel sign on it. Out of that room came a distraught Cappy.

"I….I just can't handle this heavy-duty brain labor!" The Cappy said and runs off.

"Please! Quit crying! I swear!" A droid that came out said and shakes his head he was a white and black Tactical Droid known as TJ-55 "THIS is why I hate hiring these workers from out in the sticks!" He sees J and N approach "Oh! perfect timing! We're short some people and we're just hurting. We're in a huge jam. You two ready to take on a little work."

"Sure we can" N said smiling happy as a way to get a membership has fallen into their hands.

"Great! Okay come in here!" TJ-55 said and leads the way. They enter and find them in with a grip and several levers. He stands on an overhead platform and said "Hmmm! Hmmm! I am TJ-55, good to meet you. If you get 10 Barrel points you can be my assistant. You win, I win…we all win!"

"Okay, but how do we do this?" J asked.

"Just line up the barrels of the same colour." TJ-55 explained "Line them either vertically or horizontally. J you control the up and down levers, N you control left and right levers."

"Right got it" N said smiling as J nods.

J and N get to work while TJ-55 watches, it was a bit difficult especially being timed but manage to do well.

"Hmmm! Hmmm! You stop right there!" TJ-55 said when the time hit zero. He sees they scored 11 Barrel points "Oh! Interesting! Not bad, friends of mine! As of today you are my new assistants." He takes them back to the entrance of the area "Thanks for your hard work! You really helped us out, you two! Sadly we can't pay you in cash, so take this instead!" He gives J a Membership Card

"Yes!" J said smiling happily

"If you ever need more work, just drop by, okay." TJ-55 said nodding "We're always happy to welcome hard working types like you two!"

"Now we can get into the storage area" N said smiling

"Let's get back their then." J said nodding. They make their way to the storage entrance and she said "Hey, look at this" She shows the Membership Card.

"Oh! Look at that!" The Battle Droid said. "You got a Membership Card right there! Whoa! Now that I know, I will have your faces saved into my memory banks from now on." He then steps aside.

J and N enter the storage and see the droid with the soul piece looking through the shelves. Also in the room was another Battle Droid standing by a large grey droid known as Super Battle Droid that seems to be stuck.

"Bringing this sparkly thing to the hold was a good idea, but where do we put it?" The Battle Droid with the Soul Piece said.

"Wait stop!" J said as she and N go to that droid.

"Please, we need that, it's very important!" N said worried. "It's a piece of the soul of Jirachi!"

"Whoa! What's that?" The Battle Droid said confused. He processes this and said "You're saying this is a soul piece of Jirachi the wish Pokemon?"

"Yeah that's right" J said as she and N nods

"And you both came here to look for it?" The droid asked.

"That's correct" N said smiling.

"Hmmm…Really? You want this thing?" The droid asked thinking. "Well…I GUESS I could give it to you…But I got to tell you, this thing busted our hatch. I can't really give it to you for free…"

"There must be something we can do for it." J asked him.

"Hmmm…all right I've decided" The Battle Droid said and points to the stuck Super Battle Droid "Just get that Super Battle Droid off the wall up ahead! Then I'll give you this sparkly thing to you guys! Those as you can say ard the conditions of the trade!"

"Right let's see what we're dealing with" N said and they go to the Super Battle Droid.

"Wheee!" The Super Battle Droid said and sparks "The Kool-Aid fizz seeps into my circuits!" He looks at J and N "Don't you two want to join me for some refreshing cola?"

"Sorry, he drank a lot of Kool-Aid Energon and then got stuck, to make it worse he forgot where he left the bombs that could help get him upstuck" The Droid standing by him explained.

J and N search for the explosives and find them and get them into place. N and the droid step back as J uses her fire hand powers to light the fuse and steps back, it explodes making the hole big enough to free the Super Battle Droid.

"Oh hohohoho!" The Super Battle Droid cheered

Just then the ship shakes making everyone look around confused. Then to everyone shock sand begins to pour into the ship though the hole and sweep everyone away. This process causes the ship to push forward down and go into the ocean.

"Huh?! Does not compute. What is going on here?!" The Super Tatical Droid said confused

"Commander! It's the ocean! It's an actual ocean!" An excited Battle Droid said running into his quarters.

"I see! Is the S.S Kool-Aid finally afloat once more?" The Super Tactical Droid asked.

Indeed the ship was floating as a Battle Droid cheers on the deck but then the ship bangs into a rock stopping then proceeds to sink again.

"OOOOOOOOWEEEE! EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! Mayday! Mayday!" The Battle Droid cries out as the ship sinks once more.

We see the ship crash onto the seabed and the Blue Soul Piece floats out and upwards. J and N come sliding ou and look to see the soul piece floating away.

"Wow…so close and it's slipping out of your fingers." V said giggling.

"Not funny V" J said as the recover and go after the piece

As they chase it they fight some fish with teeth known as Chumps and a sleepy octopus enemy known as Octiliery and the starfish Pokemon Staryu. The Worse one was a robotic version of the Frillish known as Mecha-Frillish but the Drones were able to handle it. They follow the trail to the Blue Soul Piece with a sigh reading 'Emerald Coast'

"It must have ended up there." N said confident.

"Let's pray that is the case." J said

The two drones enter the pipe to continue their quest.

Well seems getting the first Soul Piece won't be so easy. But the hopefully Emerald Coast will be the area they'll get that piece.
