Off to the Giant Vale Kingdom's Tombstone
Right after the speech, everyone starts looking at the hologram boards of missions the first-year students can take to anywhere within or outside the kingdom, and one certain team of girls and one fist fighter are interested in going to one location.
"This is perfect! All we have to do is shadow a Huntsman working in the southeast!" Ruby said.
"Yeah! We'll follow them around by day and give them the slip by night!" Yang excited with her fists together.
"We'll have to be careful since we'll be going off kingdom." Kibo advised.
"True, one could never know what's out there." Blake nodded.
"Let's check "search and destroy"!" Weiss suggested as they make their way to the search and destroy missions.
They look at the hologram screen trying to find the mission that would be taken in the southeast area until Kibo spotted the mission.
"Found it." Kibo pointed at the mission.
"Here we go! Quadrant 5 needs Grimm cleared out!" Ruby read the mission.
"Well, it's in the southeast!" Blake smiled a little.
"Sounds perfect." Yang excited as Ruby press the southeast mission.
However, the screen blinked red for a second and a message is shown saying first years are not allowed to take this mission.
"Wonderful." Weiss facepalmed herself, should have seen this coming.
"It is a dangerous mission since we only started in Beacon." Kibo pointed out.
"And I was hoping to try out the combo we were working on together." Yang exclaimed.
"Any other ideas?" Blake confused as she really wants to get there.
"We mail ourselves there!" Ruby suggested.
"Like how your dog got here?" Kibo asked, wondering how he and team RWBY are going to fit inside a small box together.
"Well, that's one option." Ozpin said walking up to them.
"Unfortunately, we determined that the concentration of Grimm was too extreme for first-year students. It seems that particular region is rather popular." Ozpin grinned a bit.
"I also recall you saying you'll go there no matter what earlier." Ozpin mentioned.
"I do and I'll even walk there." Kibo crossed his arms shocking team RWBY.
"No, now that is badass awesome!" Yang amazed of her strong fist fighting boyfriend.
"And dangerously reckless! What's next, that you'll walk throughout the land just to get from one city to the next?"" Weiss scolded.
"I remember my master would most walk his way." Kibo mentioned.
"Well, in that case might as well make that available and make it into a joint mission so that team RWBY will go as they are greatly concern for your safety." Ozpin tapped onto his Scroll and the mission on the board changed.
"We won't let you down. Thank you, professor." Ruby smiled.
"Do not thank me for this. Teamwork and persistence have carried you far. But you must understand, the things that await you beyond the protection of the Kingdom will not care. Stay close to your Huntsman at all times and do exactly as he say. He will be leading you on this mission, and he can have you sent back to Beacon, if he finds your skills to be unsatisfactory." Ozpin advised.
"We promise to perform our best and beyond our limits to reach our goal." Kibo bowed respectfully at Ozpin.
"I'm looking forward to that. Good luck." Ozpin said as he walks away.
Ozpin meet up with Glynda who shown to have great concern on her face as she witnessed what the headmaster of Beacon just did.
"I hope you know what you're doing." Glynda said.
"Just going along with my instincts in trusting this mission to the Fist of the North Star, along with that team, perhaps they may something out there than just Grimms." Ozpin looked at the group leaving.
"Sometimes, I still feel bad for Kibo having to shoulder the burden of the most dangerous martial art style in the world." Glynda said.
"As do I, even if we had met the boy and changed his path, he would still walk the path of Hokuto no matter what." Ozpin stated.
"And don't worry, I'm sure you will get the chance to feel your beloved North Star in bed once he returns." Ozpin teased as he walks away.
"Ozpin!" Glynda gasped blushing.
Kibo and Team RWBY are walking outside thinking about what Ozpin said to them about their mission.
"That wasn't exactly uplifting." Yang commented.
"But it's the truth." Blake stated.
"Yes, one that we must take to caution if we are to succeed in our first mission together." Kibo agreed.
"It's gonna to be tough, but I know we can do it!" Ruby believed strongly.
"I have no doubt about that, you four are by far the strongest girls I have the honor of fighting along side with." Kibo complimented.
"Oh, that earned you a kiss." Yang smirked and kiss Kibo on the lips which he greatly returned.
"Hey! Team CFVY is back!" A student shouted as some more ran past them.
Team RWBY and Kibo got through the crowd seeing team CFVY have just arrived on the bullhead and walking toward their dorm.
"Velvet? Are you okay?" Blake asked getting her attention.
"I'm fine. I had Yatsuhashi to look out for me." Velvet gestured to her teammate.
Yatsuhashi is a tall and athletic-looking young man with shaved-short black hair and tanned skin. He wears a long, short-sleeved robe, which he wears on one shoulder over a black muscle shirt. The robe is fastened at the waist by a leather armored belt with two pouches on it. He also wears brown pants and black-and-green boots. His left arm bears a 5-layer sode which extends up past his shoulder. His long and big sword is affixed to his back with a padded brown strap slung over his shoulder. He also wears a pair of bracers as well as a pair of black gloves with green plates on the backs.
"Are you the Hokuto Shinken fighter?" Yatsuhashi asked.
"I am, it is an honor to meet another teammate and friend of Velvet and Coco." Kibo greeted with a bow.
"And I am honor to one day fight to see the full might of Hokuto Shinken." Yatsuhashi smiled before walking away.
"Hey, the hottie North Star boy. Glad to see you're still kicking!" Coco greeted with a wink.
"Glad to see you as well, Coco." Kibo greeted back.
"Your mission was supposed to end a week ago! What happened?" Weiss asked.
"Nothing happened. It was just ... there were just so many…" Velvet paused for a moment, remembering how many Grimms she and her team fought.
"Let me tell you, it was crazy with those Grimms just wouldn't go away when we killed so many of them. Persistence little bastards." Coco explained.
"We're just glad that you two are okay, it eases my heart." Kibo smiled.
"Aw, you're so cute when you have that serious face." Coco giggled.
"We're gonna be going somewhere in the southease." Kibo informed.
"Whoa, that's a nasty place with lots of Grimms and don't even get me started on the bad smell." Coco grossed out.
"Oh, but don't worry. You first-years are just shadowing Huntsmen, so you should be fine." Velvet assured.
"Right." Yang said feeling nervous.
"Whatever happen to that awesome excitement charm of yours?" Kibo teased earning a playful elbow hit.
"Well, we better get going. It was a long mission and I just want to be soak in the bath right now!" Coco stretched her arms up.
"Good luck on your first mission." Velvet smiled.
"Oh, and one more thing." Coco leaned toward Kibo's face and kiss him on the cheek causing Velvet to gasp blushing.
"That was from me and Velvet." Coco winked before walking away dragging along the stunned bunny girl.
"Okay, now I know those two are going to be great addiction to the harem." Yang excited.
"My life just keeps becoming more surprising every time when I less expected." Kibo commented.
"I'm starting to see what this harem is, and I hope it works out for you." Ruby said to Kibo.
"Thank you, I think." Kibo thanked.
"I think we should be more focus on getting ready for our first mission tomorrow." Blake mentioned.
"We can do this. We've never backed down before, and we're not going to start now." Ruby said as the others agreed.
"Besides, it won't only be us out there! We'll be fighting alongside a genuine Huntsman!" Ruby added.
"Yeah!" Yang excited.
"I hope to learn much from the man." Kibo said.
(The Next Day)
Kibo is seen checking his backpack to make sure he got everything he needs for the one-week trip for the mission, then he heard knocking.
"Who is it?" Kibo asked.
"It's Glynda, can I come in?" Glynda responded.
Kibo opens the door seeing Glynda.
"Just came by to see if you're ready?" Glynda explained her reason of being here.
"I just finished packing; we'll be going to outside the Vale kingdom though I've experience that myself." Kibo mentioned.
"I'm very worried, you're still a boy who has so much to offer for the world not you've already experience bloodshed with your own hands." Glynda said taking Kibo's hands into hers.
"Such is the assassination way of Hokuto Shinken to protect the innocent and to assure no evil can harm them again, but I promise I will not let that take me over for my heart is stronger than you know." Kibo said strongly.
"That makes me feel relief." Glynda said and the two kiss each other to savor the moment together.
(Later, Bullhead Dock)
"Why, hello girls and Kibo!" Oobleck greeted much to the shock of team RWBY.
As it turns out, the Huntsman they are going to be shadowing is none other than Beacon Academy History Teacher, Doctor Bartholomew Oobleck though most people would call him professor.
Oobleck is now wearing a long brown great coat, a khaki buttoned safari shirt and a pith helmet.
"Professor Oobleck?" Weiss asked shock.
"It would seem you're joining us for your unique skills and great mind." Kibo commented.
"Thank you." Oobleck smiled.
"Yes, now, I'm afraid those bags won't be necessary, seeing as you've opted to shadow a Huntsman on what is now essentially a reconnaissance mission. I can assure you; we will not be establishing a single base of operations; rather, we will be traversing several miles of hazardous wasteland and making camp in any defendable locations we may stumble upon. I packed all of our essentials myself, plotted our air course, and readied the airship. And..." Oobleck explained things then zoomed to Weiss.
"It's Doctor Oobleck. I didn't earn the PhD for fun, thank you very much!" Oobleck corrected.
Weiss and Blake look at each other disturbed from how their going to be following Doctor Oobleck throughout the rest of their mission.
"Come now, children; according to my schedule, we are already three minutes behind schedule!" Oobleck zoomed to the Bullhead.
"It would seem I have underestimated our history teacher is cable of fighting." Kibo surprised.
"That makes two of us." Yang said.
"I have a feeling this mission may not be so much as we thought." Blake exclaimed.
"Well, alright, then! Looks like we're going to save the world with Doctor Oooobleck- okay yeah when you say it out loud it sounds worse." Ruby sighed.
"Isn't Oobleck a Huntsman like any of the staff members in Beacon?" Kibo asked.
"To be honest, none of us thought some of the staff would be Hunters like Oobleck being super talking and obese with history." Blake stated.
"Still hope we can save the world." Yang said.
"Save the world?" Nora shouted as team JNPR walks up to them getting RWBY and Kibo's attention.
"You're going on world-saving missions without us? I'm hurt... sad!" Nora said being a little dramatic and then her stomach rumble.
"Maybe a little hungry? That last one's not your fault, though, Ren..." Nora narrowed her eyes at Ren who looks away and crosses his arms.
"Sounds exciting. Where ya going?" Jaune asked.
"Just out the kingdom." Ruby answered.
"Hey, so are we!" Nora mentioned exciting.
"Ren and Nora wanted to shadow the sheriff of a nearby village." Pyrrha explained.
"Sounds like they really want to check the place out." Jaune added.
"We set out tomorrow." Ren mentioned their time to depart.
"Then you can party with us tonight!" Neptune said as he and Sun walks up to them.
"We're shadowing a crime specialist. All inner-city detective stuff. We get junior badges." Neptune explained making Jaune awestruck.
"We normally go to the city with you guys, which means stuff's always exploding and junk, so we thought this might be a better way to check out the kingdom when it's, you know... normal." Sun shrugged making Ruby chuckle nervously.
"And here I thought the Master of Nanto Ho-h Ken was ready for any action." Kibo grinned.
"I am, but I just won't be showing it much." Sun said and walking up to Blake.
"Be careful out there and remember to look for the star of Emperor whenever you think of me." Sun smiled stroking her hair a little.
"I'll try, just don't go do any monkey business." Blake smiled back.
"No promises." Sun smirked, then got a surprise kiss on the cheek by Blake.
"Four minutes!" Oobleck shouted.
"Time we get going, fight strong with your fists and heart." Kibo said as everyone nods.
(Bullhead Ride)
Team RWBY and Kibo entered the Bullhead while leaving their bags behind as they flew off to the location within the southeast area, during the trip the team and Kibo got to know a little more about Oobleck.
"I guess I just never saw you as much of a fighter, Pros-Doctor Oobleck." Yang said.
"I admit I fancy myself more of an intellectual, but I can assure you, as a Huntsman, I've had my fair share of tussles." Oobleck smirked though Ruby got confused of the tussles part.
"Besides, given my expertise in the field of history as well as my dabblings in the archaeological surveys, our dear headmaster saw fit to assign me to this particular... assignment!" Oobleck stated.
"I'm not sure if I understand that." Kibo puzzled.
"Yes, what does history have to do with this?" Weiss asked, then got close-up by the history teacher.
"Why, what a preposterous question, you silly girl! Why, history is the backbone of our very society! And the liver! Probably the kidneys, if I were to wager." Oobleck stated.
"And that means…?" Weiss still not seeing the whole picture.
"The southeast quadrant outside of Vale is home to wild forests and deep caves, but it is also the location to one of the kingdom's greatest failures!" Oobleck mentioned.
"Greatest failures?" Kibo asked.
"Mountain Glenn." Ruby said.
"That's right! It was an expansion of Vale... but in the end it was overrun by Grimm and fenced off from the rest of the city." Yang explained.
"Were they lacking in barriers and Hunters?" Kibo asked.
"I think so, but they didn't have enough we they were still trying to make the city happen though it was far too late as the city became a big grave for Vale." Blake explained that much.
"Correct! And now it stands abandoned as a dark reminder." Oobleck said.
"And a likely place for a hideout." Blake stated which the professor agreed.
(Mountain Glenn Abandon City)
They arrived at the city as they exit the Bullhead, Kibo looks around getting the strong feeling sadness and rage within this ruined city like all the souls have not passed on as they wish for vengeance and looked down noticing a lone doll.
"This place must've had so much life only to be wasted from the monsters that terrorizes." Kibo clutched his fists, feeling his rage raising and his aura being fierce.
"Don't worry, we'll make sure this never happens to anyone else in the world." Yang assured giving him comfort.
"Ladies! Kibo! You still may be students, but as of this moment, your first mission as Huntresses has begun! From this point forward, you need to do exactly as I say! Do you understand?" Oobleck explained.
"I will help bring the spirits of those who died be at peace again." Kibo determined.
"Glad to hear it." Oobleck said before turning to Ruby.
"Ruby! I thought I told you to leave all of your bags back at school." Oobleck said.
"But, uh, you hadn't told us to listen to you yet. So I didn't." Ruby proclaimed which confuses Kibo.
"She's not wrong... Very well, Ruby; leave your bag here, we can pick it up upon our return." Oobleck ordered though Ruby hesitated.
"Young lady, what in the world could you possibly have in that bag that could be so important to bring it with..."
Before Oobleck could finish his sentence, Zwei pop out from Ruby's backpack surprising everyone, and Ruby has no idea of how to make an excuse for this.

Kibo and Team RWBY have arrived in the ruin Mountain Glenn to find any clues about Roman and the White Fang with Oobleck, and apparently Zwei thanks to Ruby making this trip to be interesting for the search and destroy.
