One Big Happy Reunion For Some

Now ladies and gentlemen, we have reached one of the biggest chapters in the story! Blu and Jewel are getting ready for dinner at the Garcia family house with Eduardo, Mimi and Roberto. Along with the 'date' that he had brought along with him. So anybody can imagine how Blu will text when he finds out who his date is. So much drama to look forward to! So without further explanation, let's get right back to it!

Tonight was the night that Blu was going to Jewel's old family house for dinner with her family to try and make peace with his father in law.

Jewel was extremely excited to be able to he in the same room as her husband and her best friend. But, she wasn't too keen on spending the evening with her father. Especially if he was going to insult her husband by doing all of his usual crazy antics that piss her off.

By purposely getting his name wrong, judging how he doesn't have a muscular physique like RDJ or Roberto. Judging him that he isn't any good at sports. Also, because he was more of a nerd rather than a jock in high school.

Nonetheless, Jewel loves Blu for the way he is. And nothing of nobody on this planet could ever make her stop loving him. Even her own past mistakes eventually made their marriage stronger.

Blu however still hasn't got over the fact that he knows his father in law Eduardo still doesn't like him. This has to be the very last thing that he would have wanted to go on his own Tuesday night.

"Ughhh, why oh why do we need to go to this 'Thing' again?" Blu whined in frustration, adjusting his tie in the mirror. "Did I forget to mention for the seven billionth time that your dad hates me?!"

"I already told you baby, he doesn't hate you. He just, needs to get used to you." Jewel put it very subtly.

Jewel opted to wear a black dress for this evening, to avoid any more stress of spilling red wine on a brightly coloured dress after the incident at the Italian restaurant.

She also wore black high heels and wore a pink orchid in her hair. Jewel was absolutely beautiful.

As for Blu, he went for his favourite navy coloured three piece suit. With dark navy casual shoes and he also decided to have a genuine pocket hanky like Eduardo would normally wear.

A little something to, impress the father in law.

"I just hope that when I tell him about by big promotion, he will finally start to respect me."

"He shouldn't respect you just because you have a big fancy job dude." RDJ reassured him, as he was helping him out with polishing his shoes for the occasion. "He will have to like you for your kind personality and your selfless acts. Also, it could be important that you make his daughter very very happy."

"Now that is something I take really great pride in above everything else." Blu smiled dreamily at his loving wife. Who was now fixing his tie, planting a kiss on his cheek.

"Oh dear. It appears I've got beak stick on your cheek." She giggled and used an antiseptic wipe to clean his cheek. "There, all better!"

"All the better for seeing your beautiful face." Blu kissed her on the cheek, taking a look at what she was wearing. "You look beautiful my love."

"And you look very handsome my clumsy blueberry. Hehehe." She giggled cutely as he took hold of her hand and twirled her around. As they did a little slow dance in their living room.

"Awww, I wish my wife was here right now. I bet she'd love to see you two together all smitten like this." RDJ sighed softly and smiled at his closest friends.

"You could ask her to face time us?" Jewel suggested as Blu grabbed his wallet and keys.

"I messaged her last night. She's getting the earlier flight tomorrow afternoon. So if the timing is right, I'll be able to see her in a couple of days."

"Oh great. Once she's back, we have already discussed that you two can stay here for as long as you need to." Blu remarked with a smile at him. "Well, wish us luck!"

"Good luck lovebirds! I'll see you tomorrow." RDJ beamed and smiled at his friends. As both blue macaws had left the apartment in anticipation. To meet the others at the house that Eduardo and Mimi are currently at. The Garcia family home by the Christ The Redeemer statue.

Let's Go To Eduardo And Mimi…

"No! I already told you, no cookies before dinner." Mimi playfully smacked her brother on the hand. As he grumbled and glared at her.

"You are not mother Mimi! This is my house don't you forget that." He went to reach out for one again, but then she battered his hand with a rubber spatula. "Ow! Cut it out!"

"Why are behaving like a spoilt child? If you want to make yourself useful, why don't you go and set the table?"

"I shouldn't be made to do the butler's work in my own home." Eduardo was frustrated that he was being ordered around like a slave in his own kitchen.

"Now now Eddie. I sent your butler out to buy the food for this evening. Then I asked him to wax your Ferrari in the garage." Mimi responded with a stern glance. "The least you can do is set the table!"

"Ughhhh, fine. But after dinner, I'm watching the soccer game."

"No you're not! It's games time after dinner. Remember, you said you were going to make an effort?" The adolescent blue spix's macaw lady sternly told him. "Now get a grip and hop to it!"

"Meh meh meh meh meh meh!" He mimicked her like a spoilt child and grabbed the table cloth to put on the dining room table to set it up for when the guests arrive.

But, as if he wasn't having an annoyed moment as it is. He soon saw his son in law Blu entering the living room. With his daughter standing besides him holding his hand lovingly.

"Hello Blu…Nice to see you." Eduardo sounded so blunt by the way he welcomed him into his home. That Blu actually felt a huge cold shiver running down his spine.

"Eduardo, it's a…"

"You will still call me sir. Do you understand me?" Eduardo quickly answered beck, as he wasn't quite ready for him to call him by his first name as of yet.

"Y-Yes sir…" He shyly nodded his head and backed away a little bit.

"Dad!" Jewel snapped at her father with an annoyed expression. "You promised!"

"Right. You're right." Eduardo rose both his hands up in defence and he extended his hand to shake with Blu's. "Eduardo, is fine by me."

"Thank you Eduardo." Blu smiled and took hold of his hand, giving it a light squeeze as he knows that's the proper way to do a real handshake.

"Good shake there Blu, you have a decent grip." He nodded towards him and let go of his hand. "If you want to make yourselves comfortable. I've got to set the table."

"Oh, I'd be happy to lend a hand Eduardo." Blu offered to help him with the chore, giving him a confident look.

"Well, ummm sure? If you want." Jewel's father didn't really care if anyone helped him do this particular chore. However, he was slightly impressed with how Blu offered to help him. "How about if you fetch the cutlery, I'll put the table cloth down and then fetch the plates."

"Sounds good to me." Blu was a little bit more comfortable around his father in law, and did as he was asked. By fetching the silverware from the drawers by the mantle piece. "I've noticed your carpet has changed, since the last time I've been here. It looks great."

"Picked it out myself. Mimi wanted to go for the brighter orange one, but I think light grey is more appropriate." Eduardo replied with a nice little smile.

"Definitely matches the curtains."

"Thank you! Someone finally notices the curtains." Eduardo gave his sister a weird glance, and she stuck her middle finger up at him in response. "So, how's things going in the office nowadays?"

"Good. Great actually! I got promoted to business partner with the CEO! I'll be running the new office that they are building in the countryside to help the local customers of the company." Blu replied very proudly. "In fact, we also have a new house already paid for as part of the new promotion. And, it's the dream house that Jewel always wanted."

"Are you serious? Wow. That's really really great Blu! Ha, you have done this family proud." Eduardo laughed after finishing off with the table cloth. Helping him set the rest of the table by putting the plates and glasses out.

"Thank you. It means a lot. But, as long as my wife is happy. That's all that matters to me." Blu stole a quick glance over to Jewel, who was currently sat on the couch checking her emails. "Her happiness is my main goal."

"That's the same thing I told my late wife's father when I asked her to marry me." He replied with a nod. "Speaking of which, I think I owe you an apology."

"For what sir?" He asked him with a curious expression.

"For not giving you my full blessing to marry my daughter. As stubborn of a fool that I was…"

"AHEM!" Mimi was eavesdropping on their conversation, and cleared her throat when she felt like he was saying the wrong thing.

"Stubborn fool that I am. I was wrong to judge you too quickly. You have definitely made my Jewel very happy, and I am…I am proud of her choice." Eduardo finally swallowed his pride and then narrowed his eyes at him. "Blu, come closer."

"Oh, ummm okay." In Blu's mind this conversation took a very weird turn. However, he didn't shy away from obeying the order of his father in law. So he took a step towards him.

"A little closer."

"Oh, sure." He took a couple more steps forwards to the point that he was standing directly opposite of him.

"Blu. I am sorry for the way that I have treated you. You have given my Jewel a wonderful life, and you have taken better care of her than any man could ever do. You have shown me how much you love her, and are willing to do for her. And I thank you." He spoke with a deep and clear voice, standing up tall.

"Well, I accept your apology. I am very grateful for having an incredible father in law." Blu replied with the exact same confidence, standing up tall himself.

"Thank you. I'm gonna hug you now." He opened up his arms to give him a hug.

"Oh, sure?" The blue macaw man wasn't really sure on why he was behaving in this way. But, he didn't think anything had of it.

"Oooh, ummmm…Okay, ughhhh…" After muttering a few awkward words in between them, they finally hugged it out like father and son. "There we go."

"Yes. There we go." The awkwardness from this hug radiated from both of them, even though they did feel like that the hug was completely necessary if they were going to bond more as father in law and son. Especially since Blu never really knew his father.

"Right! Well, let's finish setting this table up. Then we can have a little drink in the living room while we wait for the others to arrive?" Eduardo beamed with enthusiasm.

"I like that idea!" He nodded towards him and smiled, as the two of them got to work on finishing up the table.

Jewel watched this little scene in front of her, and she giggled a little at the cute moment between the two of them. Also she found it so adorable how Blu was so awkward when hugging her dad.

Mimi on the other hand couldn't control her laughter from within the kitchen. As she was celebrating secretly that she was once again right about how her brother was so stubborn. Yet, he did make a gesture to improve his behaviour towards his son in law.

A few minutes had passed by since the duo of males had laid the table for 6 people near and tidily. And things were so much better after they had that talk, that Blu, Jewel, Eduardo and Mimi were all in the living room having a drink and a talk. Whilst they waited for Roberto to show up with the date he was bringing to the dinner party.

"So I then suggested to her mother that we go and get ice cream, right?" Eduardo was telling Blu a story about when Jewel was only a little girl. And while Blu had his arm around his wife, she was hiding behind her glass of wine in embarrassment. "Then after we got an ice cream we saw that my favourite saxophone player was signing autographs in the park. So, I ask Jewel if she wants to say hello to the nice man."

"Oh god, I know where this is going." Jewel sighed in embarrassment, as her cheeks glowed a bright purple.

"So as I lift her up to shake hands with the guy, she threw her ice cream cone at his face. And that's how I got a restraining order from him." Eduardo chuckled in amusement, as everybody but Jewel laughed at the story.

"Oh she was such a cute baby Blu. I think there might be some baby pictures around here…" Mimi was about to grab a photo frame of photos. But this made Jewel even more embarrassed.

"No no no! Please don't show the baby photos!" She plead with a horrified expression.

"Why not? You were such a cute little baby." Eduardo smiled at her.

"I don't want Blu looking at pictures of me as a baby! Especially of the naked ones."

"Hey, it's not like I haven't seen you nake…" As he was just about to finish that sentence, Eduardo shot him a really cold and furious glare. "It's really not that necessary Mimi. I'm sure she was a very beautiful baby. And now she's swanned into an incredibly beautiful young lady."

"Nice save!" Mimi winked at him as her grumpy brother's face softened.

DING DONG! DING DONG! DING DONG!

"Oooh! I'll bet that's Beto and his date!" Jewel jumped up to go and get the door, but Mimi de used it was only fair that she would answer the door as Jewel technically was the guest.

"Don't be silly my jungle flower. I'll go and get it for you!" Mimi stood up and placed her wine glass on the table besides her.

Heading for the front door to greet whoever was about to enter.

"Ooooh, I wonder who the girl is that Beto brought? I bet she's like really shy but she's very hot!" Jewel suggested, whilst thinking about what kind of girl they were going to see walk in with him.

"I bet she's hot. Roberto can get any girl he wants with looks like his!" Eduardo clearly thought very highly of Roberto. Which did annoy his daughter a lot, especially when he tried setting them up many times after they had broke up.

"Guys guys come on? I'm sure whoever she is. She must be a pretty lady, who was interested in Beto for more than just his appearance." Blu wanted to be the voice of reason, and both Eduardo and Jewel did agree with him on that one.

Boy…Was Blu not ready for this…

"Hello everyone! I am so sorry that I am late. I'd like you all to meet someone!" Roberto announced as he walked right into the living room.

"Oh hey dude! So? Who's the lucky la…la…d-d-dy…" Just like he was shot in the heart with a imaginary arrow from a bow and arrow. That had been enchanted with an ice spell like in some medieval fantasy video game. He instantly felt like his heart was going to sink right below his gut. As the very last person that he wanted to see…was walking right into the living room.

"Hello there everyone! My name is…Katie. Katie Becker." As if the night wasn't stressful enough for Blu as it was. Katie was now standing in the very house where Blu's wife had grown up in.

This beyond terrified him.

"Nice to meet you Katie. I'm Mimi, this here is the owner of this lovely home Eduardo." Mimi introduced Katie to the older blue spix's macaw, who smiled and shook hands with him.

"How do you do." He beamed politely, as he let go of her hand. "This is my daughter Jewel."

"Hi there Katie. It's a pleasure to meet you." Jewel politely extended her hand to shake with hers.

But, just for one split moment. Katie just blankly stared at her eyes, without even blinking or speaking for several seconds. Like she was having a staring contest with her.

"Lovely to meet you, Jewel." The scarlet macaw female finally took hold of her hand to shake it. But as they shook hands, Katie squeezed a little tighter than Jewel would have anticipated.

"Okay, ummm…You can let go now." The turquoise eyed female did squint her eyes a little, as the pressure on her hand was only getting tighter. "Seriously, let go of me."

"I'm just shaking your hand. It's only common courtesy, to be polite to your guests right?" The way she said this to her came across very creepy and dark. With her grip only getting tighter and tighter.

"You're hurting me…" She whined again, attempting to free her hand from the grip.

"Katie? Let go of her." Roberto was a little confused as to why his date was squeezing the hell out of his childhood best friend's hand. "I think you really are hurting her?"

"Then maybe she needs to learn to be a little more careful about who she decides to mess with…" She whispered very darkly, as the grip was getting so strong. That Jewel felt her whole arm going numb.

"KATIE! THAT'S ENOUGH!" Blu all of a sudden blurted out this huge powerful demand. Stopping the women from squeezing her hand any further. "Just because my company fired you yesterday, doesn't mean you take it out on people you hardly know." He yelled at her with a demanding tone.

Which to most women would scare them, or even wonder if he had some anger issues.

But…due to the kind of person that Katie is. This turned her on even more.

"Oh, you are so right! Gosh. How silly of ms to do this." She was putting on a really good performance to show the others that she was this sweet innocent girl who Roberto had 'allegedly' picked up at a bar last night. "I'm sorry Jewel. I shouldn't have let my…personal feelings…get in the way." As she said the words 'personal feelings' you could imagine the amount of pure hatred radiating off of her. As she was glaring at Jewel

"It's fine. Just please, I think we should avoid personal contact with each other when we greet each other from now on." Jewel was whining so much about the pain in her hand, that she had to put it in a bowl of ice to help the swelling go down.

"Deal. Now, I believe this is only the second time that we have met? Or…have we met, somewhere else before?" Katie began purring seductively like a feline about to pounce on their prey. As she had locked eyes with Blu, who was actually starting to get very very angry the closer she walked towards him.

"No…I haven't seen you before other than the party." Blu tucked his hand away after they only briefly shook hands. Like they were meeting each other for the first time, which in reality. They've hung out several times outside of work.

"Are you sure? I could have…sworn that I've seen you before outside of the office?" She batted her eyelashes towards him, attempting everything possible to seduce him.

However, nothing was working with him this time. Because he felt like he couldn't be manipulated into having sexual relations with her anymore. Due to his new found confidence.

"Oh that's right. You were sat on the table two tables away from me at the Italian restaurant. Gosh, that was horrible what that waiter did to you…"

"It was actually my wife who was treated badly. In fact, you do look like you and that waitress could be related?" He grumbled a little bit, as he put his arm around his wife.

"I've been told that before. But I'm simply just trying to be an intern and work hard. Especially now anyway…" She narrowed her eyes towards Blu, but not in an annoyed way. But more of a devious way.

"What do you mean?" Jewel asked her, after she had her hand in a bowl of ice.

Blu just watched how Katie was mischievously staring at him, and this stare sent chills running down his spine.

And if that wasn't enough to terrify him…The next thing that would be said would further horrify him to his core.

"Ummm, well…She doesn't really talk about it to other people but…Katie is pregnant." Roberto simply stated, taking off her coat.

This statement alone caused Blu to drop his beer glass on the carpet, as both his eyes shot wide open. And his chest was filling with so much anxiety and stress all at once, that the pressure was shooting to his brain. Rendering him unable to breathe or even feel anything at all.

"Pre-Pre-Pregnant?" Blu stuttered fearfully, clutching onto his chest like he was about to have a heart attack.

"Yes Blu…I am pregnant. And you would not believe who the father is…" The scarlet girl pouted seductively in Blu's direction, and she even did a sneaky wink at him whilst Roberto was putting the coat on the rack. And Jewel was looking down at her hand.

"Who is the father?" Eduardo asked the next question, as Mimi and himself were now having to clean beer off of the carpet.

"Oooh, you guys don't know him. He's a, very handsome man. But, once he was done with me…he ran back to his whore of a wife! So, now I'm stuck with his baby."

"Well maybe his wife isn't a whore. Maybe his wife was the person he was really meant to be with?" Blu tightened both his hands into fists, as he was on the verge of having a panic attack.

Despite the anger that radiated from Blu, Katie was loving all of this. So much so that she was laughing hysterically on the inside.

Eduardo noticed that Blu was acting very weirdly right now, ever since the scarlet girl came into his house. But he dare not mention anything as of yet. But he did have his inner suspicions.

"Nah, I'm pretty sure he will come running back to me. Especially since I plan on keeping the baby." Katie wasn't even there at the house to have dinner with them just for the sake of it. She only came here to get close to Blu again. And now, she was literally only a few metres away from her. "And once the baby will show the features of the man I slept with, I don't think his wife will want to be with him anymore."

"Personally I think you should abort the baby…"

"BLU?!" Jewel was so disgusted by what her husband said, that she slapped him on the back of his neck.

"What? I'm just saying, childcare is very expensive if she doesn't have a job." Blu replied with a straight face, as the pressure was building up inside of him.

"Well, the guy has a wonderful job. So maybe he could take care of me? And we can be a…big happy family…" She was very very scary by the manner she was acting. So much so, that she was staring at Jewel with so much hatred in her eyes. "Your hand okay sweetie?"

"I'm fine." She mumbled irritably, without even looking away from her.

"I'm gonna get a beer from the garage fridge." Blu didn't want to stick around there anymore to deal with this. So he got up from the couch and made his way down the steps towards the garage.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom. Where is it by any chance?" Katie asked the host of the house, who nodded and pointed towards the steps where Blu had gone. Which could end up working perfectly for her.

"Down the stairs, second door on your left." He directed her, as she nodded and proceeded to head down the steps.

"God, I really don't like her!" Jewel whined in pain, as her blue hand was throbbing.

"I know she is on edge Ju-Ju, but a lot has happened to her recently. She's probably just hormonal from the pregnancy." Roberto reassured her with a smile.

"Beto. Why would you date a pregnant woman anyway?"

"She seemed nice? Why? Am I not allowed to date a woman cos she's pregnant?"

Just as they were going back and forth about why he should or why Roberto shouldn't date a pregnant woman. They had no clue what was going to happen in the basement.

And you won't find that out until the next chapter unfortunately! But wow, Katie is really going to extreme lengths to get the guy she wants. Now she is using the man she love's best friend to get to him. Which is insane and devious all at the same time. Jewel is now hurt after Katie bruised her hand on purpose. Eduardo has finally decided to accept Blu as his son in law. But the main question is…How can things possibly get worse for Blu? Is Katie really pregnant? Is she trying to trap Blu into leaving Jewel? Will she keep using Roberto to get to Blu? So much to look forward to! See you all soon for the next chapter!
