Here we go Chapter 9 and a proper one where Makoto works along side the Legion of Doom.

Makoto Naegi: Completing the Mission Chapter 9
Route: Legion King
Nicole smiles happily as the room was a bit darker now, she expect that Monokuma was getting more powerful.
"Upupupup" Monkuma laughs smirking "Poor little lynx not realizing there is nothing you can do to stop me"
"We will see Monokuma" Nicole said as she works the console and hits two buttons
The first button was Rapidly Promoted Executive which included Makoto becoming the leader of the Legion of Doom and driving them to less world conquering plans making them less evil, Deathstroke defeated and becoming cyber-enhanced, Makoto reluctantly betraying the Republic.
The second button was Convict Allies which included Busting out the prisoners of the Stormcage, Allying with Ruby and Emerl and Frieza defeated.
"Okay, one of the less good routes with being with the Legion of Doom but I should get this out the way" Niciole said and hits launch
We open at the Legion of Doom's jungle base. We see Lex and Deathstroke in the command centre of the base working on getting the rocket with their new space station ready
Lex smiles to himself, since Makoto's abduction he has been leading the organization as temporary leader since Makoto has yet to pick a Right Hand to run things and Deathstroke openly refuses for personal reasons which are physically obvious. Which was fine for Lex as it shows he is loyal to him.
"Preparations are nearly complete" Lex said typing into a computer "We should be ready for launch within the hour."
"Good, maybe then we can forget about out 'leader'" Deathstroke said still holding a grudge.
Just then the lift doors open and out steps out Makoto, Brass, Nicole, Ruby and Emerl. Makoto was now wearing his L.O.D hat and Ruby looks around said "Wow, this is so cool!"
"Oh, speak of the devil" Deathstroke said to Lex and Lex's smile fades a bit at that, better put the happy act.
The group walk forward, and Brass said "So this is the Legion of Doom's secret base huh? I will admit Frieza has spent a lot on trying to find this place."
"Just glad the Legion members in that region were able to help us lose the Frieza force's pursuers so I doubt we will have problems with him here" Emerl said and Nicole nods
"Either way, sign me up! I do owe you Makoto for helping me out" Ruby said smiling "Through I am not much of a supervillain"
"It's fine, me and Nicole have been working on changing the Legion for the better" Makoto said to them
"Woah...what happened to that guy?" Brass asked pointing to Deathstroke who glares
"Oh, that's Deathstroke, he got like that have Makoto beat him in combat and he fell off a railing" Nicole teased
"Grrr...you're lucky you're an AI program lynx!" Deathstroke said annoyed
"Settle down you two" Makoto said to them
"Yes, anyway Makoto...you're back..." Lex said in awkward surprise a bit "I took charge while you were missing. I hope you don't mind..."
Makoto just deadpanned stared at Lex "Yes, I don't mind, but I feel like you would have preferred I stayed missing so you can take back control, right Lex?"
"Oh what...no, no. Of course not, you beat me fair and square after all" Lex said shaking his head and smiling sheepishly
There was an awkward silence which Ruby broke clearing her throat "Hey I'm Ruby, this is Emerl and Brass we were all in the Stormcage but broke out with Makoto so we're new here"
"Stormcage huh? Well, I think Cooler will love to hear how you all manage to best his younger brother" Deathstroke said
"Oh, it will be a tale involving a mass prison riot and escape" Brass said and somewhere a laugh is heard
"Sounds like he is a bit aware of it" Deathstroke said
"Anyway, what are you guys all up too?" Emerl asked curious
"Well...err..." Lex said deciding best to change subjects as Makoto was still looking at him "You remember that orbital station idea we talked about with Braig and his team, right Makoto?"
"Yeah, I recall" Makoto said nodding
"Well, we decided to go along with that plan. We already have all of our assets in there already." Lex explained "Once we're done with the final preparations, we'll be ready to launch into orbit. That should keep us far from any governments trying to bring us down."
"Any evil governments you mean. I know we're still on the Republic's radar but once we negotiate with them that we're trying to change the Legion to something better we won't have to worry about them" Nicole said
"Yes, yes of course" Lex said rolling his eyes "We should be able to..."
"Hey, uh boss…." The voice of The Vulture said on the comms
Once again Makoto said while glaring at Lex "What did he call you?" No one other than the ones in this room knew Makoto was actually back
"Oh, you know Adrian, he's old" Lex chuckled nervous and gets on the comm "Vulture, I told you before about calling me that. Makoto is the boss not me"
"This is just sad" Brass said while Emerl nods as he wasn't really fooling anyone, even Deathstroke had to admit this was pathetic and not because it was sucking up to Makoto.
"Oh, sure, got it" The Vulture said nonchalantly and then adds "By the way we're under attack"
This shocked everyone and indeed Republic airships can be seen entering the area beginning the attack on the Legion's base.
Lex immediately took charge at this and said pointing to Ruby, Emerl, Deathstroke and Brass "You four get to the rocket!" They leave and Lex looks to Makoto and Nicole "Makoto, Nicole" He tosses them a key.
This was a special key to initiate launch procedures. Makoto and Lex stand ready, and Lex said "One, two? Three!" They hit the buttons but neither saw a Republic Airship rise near the window.
"The rocket is launching in... Five minutes" The onboard computer announced
The airship piloted by someone called Ace Hardlight fires at the window causing Makoto and Lex to duck and cover.
"Any plans Lex?" Makoto asked him
"Me! You're the one in charge, you do something!" Lex said he literally had nothing that could help them at this moment.
"Okay Nicole, you have any plans?" Makoto asked
"I have three" Nicole said and provides them either a Super Punch, Wrist Strapped Grapple Hook or Very Accurate Targeting System
"Hmmmmm…." Makoto thought.
Very Accurate Targeting System
Makoto is equipped with a Pitboy wrist device and gets an assault rifle... He stands and begins aiming just like in Fallout. He aims for Ace's head which is a 95% chance of hitting him and fires three shots
However, all the shots miss and Ace looking said "Wow, what a terrible shot, my turn" He then fires his gatling gun and kills Makoto.
Nicole deadpan looks at the Pitboy and said, "95 percent, huh?" She then resets
Super Punch
Makoto gets up and gets a running start. He jumps and reels in and then punches the airship sending it flying into the sky and it explodes
"And that's how you do it" Makoto said smiling, it was then he realized he was in the air and then falls screaming to the ground
Nicole sighs and said, "The Legion will always remember you as a hero." She then resets.
Wrist Strapped Grapple Hook
"Here goes nothing" Makoto said attaching the grapple hook. He aims and fires it at the airship and is pulled to it. He opens the doors to the side and climbs in "Hey buddy"
"What?!" Ace Hardlight said taken by surprised
Makoto fights him and then threw him out the airship and takes the controls "Now to get Lex so we can get to the rocket."
"That maybe a problem" Nicole said and points ahead and Makoto looks and sees Lex surrounded by Republic troops
"Get your hands up and down on the ground!" One of them orders as Lex has his hands up
Lex was worried, he was defenceless to resist any of them with so many, he hated to think on it, but his only hope was Makoto right now.
"We have to do something" Makoto said thinking
"Well, my suggestions are these" Nicole said and offered them. He could use the Airship, just abandon Lex or use the airship's mounted gun.
Abandon
"Well…. I get the feeling if Lex was in this position he would leave me" Makoto said thinking
"Exactly, so let us just get to the rocket." Nicole said and they leave.
Meanwhile in the command room Lex was being cuffed by Commander Fox and he told the trooper "You all will be in trouble once my friend gets here"
"Uh, huh yeah right" Fox said rolling his eyes under his helmet, he's heard it all in his career.
Meanwhile the airship flies up to near the cockpit of the rocket, unfortunately it wasn't known by anyone else that Makoto was flying in it so Deadshot sees it
"Hey guys! Look out we got a boggy inbound!" Deadshot said to the others.
"Not on my watch!" Bane calls out and arms himself with a rocket launcher and fires
"Uh oh..." Makoto said until he was hit and explodes
Nicole sighs "That's karma for ya." she then resets
Airship (Helicopter)
"I know what to do" Makoto said smiling as he holds the control
"Oh no don't tell me..." Nicole said getting worried.
In the command room Lex was being cuffed by Commander Fox and he told the trooper "You all will be in trouble once my friend gets here"
"Uh, huh yeah right" Fox said rolling his eyes under his helmet.
Just then the airship Makoto was in flies right at the command centre, the Republic troops who see it coming immediately run away while Fox confused turns to just see it and Makoto with a big smile on his face
Needless to say, it crashes and takes out nearly everyone in there and Makoto injured badly.
"Who do you think you are? Kirishima?" Nicole said face palming and resets
Mounted Gun
"Okay I got it" Makoto said and gets the airship into position
In the command room Lex was being cuffed by Commander Fox and he told the trooper "You all will be in trouble once my friend gets here"
"Uh, huh yeah right" Fox said rolling his eyes under his helmet.
Makoto lines up the airship and moves to the mounted gun and fires taking out the troops and knocking Fox out.
Lex smiles and said to Fox "Told you" However he was surprised Makoto would come back for him.
Unfortunately, no one was flying the airship so Makoto had to bail and jumps out as it crashes. He ended up at the spot under the rocket.
"Phew...hey what?" Makoto looks and sees three republic troops with several explosives.
One of them named Fuse nods and gives a thumbs up and another named Ironwood gets on comm and said "Bomb has been planted"
"Actually, it's more like an EMP" Fuse points out to him
"That EMP will take out the rocket if we don't stop it" Nicole said to Makoto they hid behind one of the charges
"Right, need to get it away from the rocket" Makoto said
"I have three items that can do it" Nicole said and shows them a Flute, a Revolver and a Boomerang
Revolver
Makoto gets it on top of the cover and engages in Mcgree's Deadeye ability and announced his presence saying "It's High noon!" He was waiting then for the right time to shoot
Hearing this Fuse ducks and covers, Ironwood legs it but the third member Alec Jorgan sees Makoto taking his time just rolls his eyes and fires at him killing him
"Seriously? This isn't a western" Jorgan said shaking his head
Nicole face palms "Were you waiting til High Noon-Thirty to shoot?" she resets
Boomerang
Makoto holds out the Boomerang and aims it getting all three targeted "Perfect" He then throws it and it hits all three and stuns them making them see stars "Yes! Now to"
Unfortunately, the Boomerang comes back and hits him in the head stunning him the same way.
Nicole seeing this just slow claps and said, "What a stunning performance" She resets
Flute
Makoto gets the flute and plays a song on it. Just then a Pidgeot flies by and picks him up. They then move to the troopers and Makoto grabs the detonator
"Hey!" Fuse yells out at that, without the detonator the EMP won't go off.
"Ha, now nothing can stop the rocket's launch" Makoto said happy for that, but he does feel guilty doing this to the Republic.
Just then shots are fired knocking the detonator out of his hand and taking out the Pidgeot making it vanish. He then lands in a middle of a fire fight with a squad led by a trooper named Wraith.
Wraith seeing Makoto said "It's the leader! Get him!"
"Oh, this ain't good" Makoto said getting up and backs up only into bump up back to back with Deathstroke and Brass
"Huh, I was wondering when you were going to show up" Deathstoke said armed with two pistols
"Deathstroke, Brass! Wait where are Ruby and Emerl?" Nicole asked concerned
"No idea, we got separated on our way to the rocket" Brass said
"Time's up though" Deathstorke said noting they were now surrounded by Wraith's squad "Let's do this"
"Right, we do this right we all get out of here" Makoto said nodding
"I have some ideas" Nicole said which were Duel Tech, Summon, Style on 'em or Charge.
Summon
"I got this, I will call upon, the most powerful being in existence" Makoto said and begins to summon
We then move up into Space where we see Solaris emerge from behind the moon, he moves to over the earth and begins to charge up a laser to fire down on Makoto's enemies
But when we return to the area, we find it calm and no one there...seems the summon took longer than we thought. Like a week has passed since then.
Nicole looking around said "Last week, but not to worry." She resets
Charge
"Alright, I have a bold strategy" Makoto said
"Let's hear it" Brass said
Makoto then rushes forward and yells out "Makotooooo!" much to the confusion of everyone then and one of the troopers just aims and shoots him
"Did...Did he try to Leroy Jenkins it?" Deathstroke bemused asked
"Oh my god, he just ran in" Nicole said and resets
Style on 'em
In a style like Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door Makoto is thrown by Brass and lands on one of the troopers head. Deathstroke uses his laser eye to stun him and one last hit from Makoto with his foot knocks him out
All three achieve a style bonus as they do it perfectly. Wrath and the rest of her men just glare and arrest all three of them and begin taking them away.
"Not gonna lie, that was pretty stylish." Nicole said nodding
Duel Tech
"You ready?" Deathstroke said to Makoto
"Yes, let's do it" Makoto said nodding
Deathstroke jumps and lands on Makoto's soldiers and hands him the two pistols. Then Makoto ready he jumps in the air, charges up his optic and fires his laser and Makoto spins firing laser charged bullets and soon the field is engulfed in a white light.
When it ends and Deathstroke lands the entire squad of troops along with Wraith fades away.
"That was amazing!" Brass said smiling
Lex who was watching from the rocket through binoculars saw this too and moves the binoculars down and said "Wow..." He had to admit that was impressive.
Makoto wobbles a bit holding his head a little dizzy Deathstroke pats his back "Good job, there you might be worth that leadership title"
"Gee thanks" Nicole said rolling her eyes
They then move to the ramp to the rocket, but it was a long way up and the on board computer announces "The rocket will be launching in…. One Minute"
"We have to hurry!" Deathstroke states to them
"Ah, why did we make the ramp so long, it will be pointless to make it up there on foot" Makoto said
"Not without a vehicle" Brass states
Just then Ruby and Emerl arrive in the car, the same one they with Makoto and Brass stole from the Stormcage. Ruby leans out and said, "You folks need a lift?"
"Oh, we glad to see you guys are okay" Brass said as they all got in
"Yeah, well we had our own troubles" Emerl said with a shrug.
Once in Ruby drives at full speed up the ramp but they had one last obstacle, a squad led by General Armquest who was in a mech suit blocked off access to the rocket.
Armquest seeing the car ordered "Don't let her get through men!"
"Looks like we got company!" Ruby calls out as the soldiers' fire at them
"Uh oh, we going to need to break through!" Brass said
"I have some ideas based on these three" Nicole said and the three were Ruby, Makoto or Deathstroke and starts the timer "Choose quick Makoto"
Do Nothing
Unfortunately, Makoto couldn't make up his mind and Armquest stops the car with his mech arms and the group is sent flying out of the car
"Seatbelts everyone!" Nicole said in the style of a certain teacher with a magic schoolbus and resets
Ruby (Ellie)
"Ruby! You got an idea?" Makoto said to her quickly
"Just one!" Ruby said she then stands on her seat pulling out Crescent Rose and opens fire unfortunately no one was driving so the car drives to the side and off the ramp sending them plummeting to their doom
"Ruby!" Emerl calls out in shock as he was in the passenger seat, and it happened so fast he couldn't take the wheel in time.
"Shooting from a moving vehicle is actually really hard. Especially if you're supposed to be driving." Nicole states and resets
Deathstroke (Right Hand Man)
"Deathstroke, you can Plow right through them!" Makoto said him
"Yeah, but not in the time we have but I have another idea" Deathstroke said he then jumps over holding the back, his legs turning into a jet and he rocket propels the car. The others holding on tight
The result is Armquest being crashed into and going with them but Deathstroke couldn't slowdown in time and it ends up with them shooting through the rocket destroying it in the process
"Overshot by just a liiiiiiiitle bit." Nicole said and resets
Makoto (Henry)
"Don't slow down Ruby!" Makoto said climbing onto the hood of car
"What are you doing?" Brass asked concerned
Makoto sticks his hands out and just as they were close to the blockade he jumps and punches Armquest in the face and the car drives past and reaches the rocket just as the final countdown began
"Five…. Four….Three…." The computer said unfortunately everyone was on, except Makoto who was surrounded by the rest of Armquest's men "Two...one..." The rocket then begins to launch. Knocking everyone on it off the ramp as it lifts
"Wait stop the rocket!" Emerl called out to Lex
"Yeah, Makoto is still down there!" Ruby added in
"I'll keep the door open as long as I can, but there is nothing I can but there is nothing I can do to get him up here." Lex said
"Come on, we gotta go and get strapped in" Deathstroke said to the three and they leave Lex alone in the hanger
Makoto lands on his feet and looks to see the rocket "Oh man, we need to get up there Nicole"
"Agreed and I have three suggestions" Nicole said they were using a G-Inverter, a Cloud or an abandoned Republic Tank.
Cloud
Nicole makes a Mario cloud appear under Makoto and lifts him up quickly to the rocket, as he nears the hanger it begins flashing nearly out of time "Come on...a little longer" he said reaching
Unfortunatly when he was nearly in a spot to reach the opening it fades away and Makoto plummets screaming to his death
"Today's forecast: No clouds." Nicole said and resets
G-Inverter
Makoto gets the device and reads the description, it apparently inverts the Earth gravity in the area. "Well, not much options" He flips the inverter
Soon he along with a lot of items at the base begin zooming up into the sky, Makoto passing by the hanger with Lex watching confused on what happened
"Pretty sure I had a nightmare like this." Nicole mentions thinking on it
Abandoned Tank
Makoto gets in the tank, he then reverses it into a nearby palm tree so it drives up it and the cannon on it is pointing down and fires shooting the tank into the sky
It nearly reaches the rocket's hanger. Makoto gets out "Okay. Here goes!" He said and jumps and he could see he was barely going to make it.
But then Lex catches his hand "I've got you Makoto" the former leader said
"Phew...thanks Lex" Makoto said relieved
Lex then gets an evil smirk on his face "You know...there is no one around right now...I could just let you go, and nobody would ask any questions or know"
"W-Wait what?" Makoto said shocked while Nicole glares
Then Lex's face changes to a genuine smile "But why would I want to do that?" and pulls Makoto into the hanger and the doors close
"Really? I was under the impression you were waiting for a moment like that to take back charge" Makoto said
"Admittedly yes, I was" Lex said with a nod "But then I saw you out there! You put yourself on the line to protect the Legion, even if you are planning to change our goals as underworld defenders and... good guys. But even if it will take me time to get use to being on the same team as Superman and such, you have this day earned my respect, boss. I can't think of a better person to lead us"
The Republic could watch as the rocket reaches orbit and launched the space station
We then come to a log made by Lex going over the events since then.
"Thanks to Makoto's efforts we were able to establish our orbital station the Space Station of Doo...Oh I mean Space Station of Hope" Lex said as we see the space station with the D on the L.O.D symbol being replaced with a H. "Yes, with me and a lot of the majority members siding with Makoto's change the Legion has gone though a name change."
"We sadly lost a few of our members in the raid, and also a few more who like me before didn't agree with the changes from conquering to defenders of the planet and they left the Legion." Lex explained as we see Cheese Shogan and Thok being apprehended by Republic troops.
"The first thing Makoto did was arranged a meeting with Republic High Command via televised conference, he explained to them his intentions and in exchange for keeping them in the loop the Republic will not interfere unless necessary" Lex explained in his report "We would have to do the same again with the Justice League when they returned to Earth"
"With the orbit in station we could raid any place on Earth with Ease, but mainly we focused on raiding cruel dictatorships and evil places" He explained as we Black Manta aiming his weapon and then Kiteman looting an area.
We then see Makoto placing a pin on Ruby as she and Emerl bow. Lex explained "Ruby Rose, Brass and Emerl were officially recruited into the Legion of Hope. And Ruby was given the official rank as Right Hand Lady with Emerl as her bodyguard."
We then see Lex, Deathstroke and Brass in a car fighting off some Frieza Force Soldiers. Lex explained "Me along with Deathstroke and Brass went on to become top operators in the organization, performing several successful operations."
We then see Black Manta and The Monarch monitoring Dr. Doom's castle alongside some Republic Troops and some Justice League members "As part of good will the Legion of Hope agreed to help monitor the former members who left us, working with the our former enemies to do this, Black Manta and The Monoarch were assigned this task." Lex explained
Needless to say Makoto smiles proud of what he could do turning this evil organization around, he was happy for it. He was the Legion king.
The End (10/17)
A good ending with the Legion escaping and changing their ways but only a few routes left, let's see what is next
