Izana charged in slashing down on Undyne destroying her while Frisk raised her arm against the shockwave of the attack. (Frisk: 0000/Hand: 1) "Man, she's real tough..." Frisk looked over to Alexis who she was training against just now.
(Alexis: 0900/Hand: 3)
"You're doing a great job Frisk." Mindy smiled walking over and hugging her. "Do you want to get something to eat before we try again?"
"Sure... I'm getting a little hungry." Frisk admitted rubbing her head with a soft smile.
Jasmine smiled at that. "You know Frisk, you're a really strong duelist... I bet you'll be fine with whatever they throw at you."
"I don't know... it could be someone who's way above me." Frisk is nervous who she would face probably someone who is an expert duelist.
"Frisk listen to me, you'll be fine." Alexis reassured her with a gentle hug. "You have all of us right there rooting for you, and your family will be there too."
Frisk smiled hugging her back with a smile. Smiling the four of them headed into the girl's dorm while at the same time in the Slifer Dorm Jaden was talking with Syrus and trying to come up with some strategies.
"Seriously Sy, you need some more confidence." Jaden said to him with a smile.
"I don't know... maybe if I leave they'll give you a better partner." Syrus admitted.
"Come on Sy don't think like that. We can do this." Jaden assured patting his head.
"Jaden." Syrus blushed a bit. "Don't pet me like a kid, we're basically the same age!"
He looked down a bit before frowning. "Anyone would be a better partner for you than me."
"Sy, your the only partner for me here so let's just do our best." Jaden winked grinning.
"I guess and..." Syrus started only for the door to open.
"HUMAN JADEN, HUMAN SYRUS I THE GREAT PAPYRUS HAVE COME UP WITH A MOST BRILLIANT IDEA TO ENSURE WE ALL ARE ALLOWED TO REMAIN HERE WITH OUR FRIENDS!" Papyrus cried suddenly.
"Huh?" Turning over Jaden grinned over. "Hey Paps! Glad of you to drop by!"
"NYEHEHEHEH, OF COURSE. THE GREAT PAPYRUS WILL ALWAYS BE THERE TO SUPPORT HIS NUMEROUS FRIENDS." Papyrus smiled. "AND AS I SAID I HAVE A BRILLIANT IDEA, WE CAN SIMPLY HAVE A PARTY TONIGHT, WITH PLENTY OF SPAGHETTI!"
"A party huh? Sounds like a good idea. What you think Sy?" Jaden turned to Syrus with a grin.
"Huh, oh... well I guess it could be fun." Syrus admitted. "A going away party."
"Don't worry a little celebration will do good to clear our heads." Jaden smiled patting his back.
"I don't know." Syrus frowned.
"YOU'LL BE FINE HUMAN SYRUS!" Papyrus smiled.
"Well let's get partying!" Jaden grinned.
Papyrus grinned happily at that. "I'LL LET THE OTHERS KNOW!"
So he turned leaving to inform everyone. Jaden smiled seeing that only to sigh. "Well now we definitely need to win the match right Sy?"
"Yeah..." Syrus looked down still having doubts.
Jaden put a hand on his shoulder.
Meanwhile with the monsters...
Toriel was sitting and looking down thoughtfully as she was preparing for another class. However she suddenly senses something. Something nearby.
"Yes, who's there?" she asked looking up.
Senses something... familiar. Like she haven't felt in a long time. Confused she walked to the window where she saw Nurse Fontaine and Banner walking towards Shepherd's office.
"Miss Toriel? is everything alright?" Professor Sartyr, the Ra Yellow Headmaster, asked her confused.
"Do you know what's going on? Is there some kind of teacher meeting?" Toriel asked.
"I'm not sure. Something is coming Banner senses something odd." Sartyr admitted.
"Should we go and check?" Toriel asked him.
"Yes we should. Let's all check." Sartyr answered over nodding. "Let's have the other teachers come with us."
Toriel nodded at that though something felt a bit off.
A bit later all the teachers were in Shepherd's office except for Dr. Crowler who they were waiting on.
Very soon said man walked in. "Sorry for the delay Chancellor. I was on the phone with who will be the opponents for the expulsion matches."
"I see well now that everyone's here someone would like to speak with us." Shepherd explained as they noticed a girl standing next to him wearing a pink and purple shirt with a pink skirt.
"Who's this Chancellor?" Fonda asked seeing her.
"My… my name is…" the girl started only to pause seeing Toriel and look down nervously.
Toriel stared at her confused feeling something from this. She isn't sure but something about this girl feels familiar. But that should be impossible, right? No human she knows before they were sealed would still be alive after this long, and it doesn't look like she's a monster, or something unhuman. So she had to ask. "Do you, know me my child?"
"Well… not personally." the girl admitted seeing Toriel seemed nice. "My… my name is Betty, Betty Lightvale."
"Lightvale?" Toriel's eyes widen in shock. "Your related to Copper, Agate, and Amber?"
Betty flinched at her reaction but slowly nodded. "Copper… is my big brother."
"He is...?" Toriel looked shocked from that as she stared at her. "But... I never seen you before... and when I look at you... are you Amber's twin sister?"
"Not… well… kind of." Betty blushed. "Is… is a girl named Frisk here?"
"Yes. Do you need to speak to her?" Toriel asked her.
"I... yes, I do but I..." Betty started only to pause and shudder fearfully. "Um... actually on second thought no... I really shouldn't."
"Is there something you need to tell us young lady?" Professor Banner asked her.
Betty looked nervous before shaking her head. "I... I came to enroll, if that's allowed?"
"Of course but I have to ask you ever dueled before?" Sheppard figuring it's personal right now asked her if she dueled before.
"I... I've seen people duel before." Betty admitted. "And, I do own cards."
"So you never had a duel?" Fonda asked her.
"Well... technically no." Betty admitted hearing that.
"So should we see what she has to see if she has the right abilities to attend?" Dr. Crowler suggested over to give her a fair chance while making it difficult.
"That seems fair enough." Sheppard nodded. "I trust you have a suitable opponent in mind Crowler?"
"Oh, I know who Chancellor. Just give me a little bit to bring them up." Dr. Crowler bowed before turning walking off.
Betty looked unsure before pausing and looking at Toriel. "You're... the queen, can I ask you something?"
"Oh yes sure my child, what is it?"
"Can... can I talk with you and the king? About something... really important?" Betty asked only to pause. "Um... and can it be just the three of us?"
Toriel raised an eyebrow but nodded. "Sure, just give me a few minutes to call him."
Betty nodded at that taking a slow breath. Toriel takes a phone from her pocket pressing some numbers, and raised it waiting as it starts ringing.
"Hello, Tori?" Asgore's voice answered.
"Asgore, there is someone who needs to talk to us." Toriel explained to him.
"Really, who?" he asked hearing that.
"...A Lightvale." Toriel answered. "One of Copper's sisters."
There was a short pause before Asgore responded.
"Where are you... we need to speak with her right now."
"The Chancellor's office, she wants us to talk all three of us alone." Toriel answered.
"I see... we can speak in one of the classrooms then, I'm on my way." Asgore told her.
"Okay." Toriel said hanging up before she walked back looking at Betty. "Asgore is on his way."
She flinched slightly but nodded. "Oh... ok. Can we go now?"
"Wait here for him first so he won't get lost." Toriel answered before she offered a hand to her with a soft smile.
Betty gasped but nodded taking her hand as Toriel noticed she was trembling for some reason. Toriel pulled softly wrapping an arm around her. Betty shivered at that as they waited for Asgore. After a minute the door opened as who stepped in was Asgore. Seeing him Betty flinched slightly.
"Are you Betty Lightvale?" he softly asked her.
"Yes... I am." she nodded before taking a breath. "Can we talk alone your highness?"
"Of course. Come on." Asgore gestured her to follow him with Toriel.
She nodded following the two Dreemurrs. Once they arrived in a private classroom they all stand together with Toriel sitting on the teacher's chair with Asgore beside her, and Betty in front of them.
"I... I guess... I should start by confessing I'm not a human." Betty mentioned nervously.
"You aren't?" Asgore asked blinking.
"No... um, you won't tell anyone else no matter what I say right?" Betty asked him.
The two nodded figuring she must have pretty good reasons to keep things to themselves for now that they can reveal when she's ready too.
"... Do you know the forbidden Bête Noire spell?" Betty asked nervously.
"Yes, that type of forbidden magic requires someone to change there SOUL to FEAR." Asgore answered with a frown. "But no one has ever done that cause they don't survive..."
"It was what?" Toriel asked shocked cupping her mouth in horror. "Are you saying... Agate, and Amber both were-"
Betty looked down. "Yes. but big sis Amber did it willingly, but that's not the most important thing."
She took a nervous breath.
"I think... I think your son is alive!"
"Asriel is...?" Asgore asked with widen eyes.
"Not Asriel." Betty whispered. "Your other son... Chara Dreemurr, the one who's corpse was carried out of the Underground."
"But... how is Chara still alive? He died when he ate poisoned Buttercups so Asriel can gain his SOUL to cross the barrier." Toriel asked at that completely shocked that the human child she adopted when Asriel was still with her is still alive.
"I know... and I might be wrong but... I don't think your son ever really met you." Betty answered. "I think... something took control of his body, like a puppet."
"Something took control? Like what?" Asgore frowned figuring the troubles from the past aren't done going after them yet.
Betty shuddered more at that. "HATRED, something that corrupts SOULS, and was trying to corrupt my sister Agate. A SOUL of BRAVERY or FEAR isn't strong enough to resist for long... but... one of DETERMINATION could, before I was created... big brother Copper took the HATRED into his own SOUL."
"HATRED... that same power that is a corrupting influence?" Toriel asked recalling the powers of HATE where it can give those great power but the side effects...
"Yes... Copper... he sealed that HATRED inside the Barrier... and, ever since I was watching it... waiting to see if you would ever be free like he wanted, but... then a human child... just four years old fell through and I saw it... his bright red SOUL enveloped in HATRED, with just a tiny red dot in the middle before it turned red again and I lost sight of him." Betty answered trembling again.
"Chara..." Toriel trailed off worried.
"But... this would mean the HATRED died in him when he was dead isn't he?" Asgore asked her that the HATRED should be dead if that be the case.
Betty looked down. "Not if his SOUL survived."
"His SOUL survived? How?" Toriel blinked wondering how that's possible.
"Human SOULS can persist after death, and a SOUL of DETERMINATION could persist for much longer... and if another SOUL of DETERMINATION arrived it could bring Chara's SOUL back... along with the HATRED that infected it." Betty admitted.
"Frisk never told us about this." Asgore told Betty that Frisk never mentioned this to anyone.
"She might not know... but I saw it, the HATRED infect not just Chara... but the six who came after him too... but Frisk, something stopped her SOUL from being infected, I don't know what though but... it wasn't long after that I saw the Barrier break but I could feel the HATRED was free too." Betty answered. "But I could be wrong, and he could still be dead... and Frisk could be a ticking time bomb... waiting to try and kill everyone. The best case, is that Chara's SOUL was... frozen at four years old, and there might be a way to bring him back without HATRED, but that would require a miracle."
She looked down.
"That's why... you can't tell anyone any of this... I need you to swear that you'll never say a word about Chara, HATRED, or my real identity no matter what."
The Dreemurr adults looked at each other having a lot to think about. They are worried for Frisk if she doesn't know about HATRED that had existed within there old friends now taken a form from Chara, and now threatening to take Frisk over. They want to do something about it but from the circumstances here they can't really do anything, and now the only thing to do is hopefully one day have the HATRED out of Frisk's SOUL, and rescue both her, and Chara.
So Toriel turned over to Betty. "Alright Betty we will not say anything... but on one condition."
"What condition?" she asked nervously.
"You will help us whatever we can do to help Frisk, and Chara." Toriel answered. "If there is a chance we can remove the HATRED from the two we will take whatever chances we can."
Betty shivered in fear but hesitantly nodded. "I... I'll try."
Toriel offers to hug her. Betty shivered hugging her before they heard someone knocking on the door.
"Who is it?" Asgore asked over.
"It's Banner, Crowler's gotten her opponent." Professor Banner answered.
Toriel looked down to Betty. "Are you ready my child?"
Betty took a breath but nodded.
Meanwhile at the girl's dorm...
Frisk took a bite of a piece of A5 Yagyu Steak as she hummed loudly in content. "Oh it's so juicy, and flavorful!" They were eating the dinner presented which Frisk lets them know she quite loves it a bit never having anything like it while growling up.
Alexis chuckled at that.
"It's just steak, you're being dramatic." Flowey frowned.
"Why don't you have a taste of it?" Jasmine grinned over to him.
He rolled his eyes again. "No thanks."
"Then you won't know just the kind of flavor ride she's going for." Mindy told him shrugging. "Although, you can't really eat. Fertilizer maybe but nothing at all."
"Ha ha, very funny." Flowey rolled his eyes.
"You can eat?" Alexis asked him.
"Of course I can eat, but I'm not eating that." Flowey frowned.
"Your loss." Jasmine shrugged.
Frisk frowned a bit at Flowey's attitude only to look down slightly. "I'm still a little bit nervous though."
"Well you been training for us for a while. Whoever you face will be off-guard by you." Jasmine grinned over.
"Yeah, she has a point and..." Mindy started only for their PDAs to beep.
Off-guard they checked there PDAs for what's up. It was an announcement for anyone who wanted to observe a duel in a half hour.
"A duel?" Mindy blinked surprised. "Who's dueling?"
"Says to be a new student named Betty." Jasmine checks the names of the two duelists. "Betty, and... wait me?"
"You're dueling Jasmine?" Frisk asked before smiling. "Well, I'm rooting for you."
"Thanks girl." Jasmine grinned over with a clenched fist. "But I don't know who this Betty girl is."
"Only one way to find out." Mindy pointed out.
Jasmine nodded as they finished eating before they all headed together to Obelisk Arena for the match. When they arrived they saw Chancellor Sheppard, the professors, Asgore and Toriel, Jaden and Syrus, and Betty looking around slightly nervously.
"So your Betty?" Jasmine climbs up the arena as she asked that.
"Yes." Betty nods nervously. "It's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you two." Jasmine grinned over. "Ready to begin?"
"I... I think so, who starts?" Betty asked nervously.
"You can go first." Jasmine smiled as she readied her Duel Disk.
Betty nodded at that activating hers uncertainly.
"Duel!/D...Duel." Jasmine and Betty called respectively.

"Yeah." Jasmine nodded while having some thoughts. 'Lunalight... I never heard of that Deck before... another Deck that was recently made like Frisk's?'
"Ok." Betty nodded as she added the Fusion Spell. "Now, I set a monster and that's it."

"Okay my turn now! Draw!" Jasmine drew checking over to see. "And I start with something you just done! Sending a monster from my hand to the graveyard to add a Spell to the hand!" Jasmine shows a monster. "Only instead of Polymerization, Warrior of Atlantis allows me to take A Legendary Ocean to the hand!" She added the card showing it.
Betty looked nervous but nodded. "Oh... ok."
"And you ready for a change of scenary? Cause I use A Legendary Ocean!" Jasmine activates the card.

"Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus, it can only be summoned by sacrificing Levia-Dragon - Daedalus and by sending Umi to the graveyard she can send every other card on the field and in both of their hands to the graveyard." Alexis answered.
"Well I don't have that but right now, no need cause I can use the original to send Legendary Ocean to the graveyard to destroy her face-down!" Jasmine called as around them Legendary Ocean was absorbed with Daedalus triggering a tsunami around the field.

Betty cried out as her monster shattered.
"And now Daedalus attack Betty directly!" Jasmine called as Daedalus charged in at Betty.

Betty's eyes widened in shock as her monster shattered. "I... I end my turn."
With her turn ending Daedalus regains it's points.

Jasmine walked over, and offered a hand to Betty with a smile. She frowned taking it. "I... should probably go, I failed."
"What are you on about?" Sheppard spoken up.
"I lost, and failed the test." Betty answered before looking over at Asgore and Toriel to silently ask them not to say anything before she turned away. "I'll... I'll leave the island as soon as possible."
"You haven't failed anything."
"Chancellor what are you talking about?" Dr. Crowler questioned.
"The duel wasn't for her to win. It was for us to see what she can do. She almost won against one of the best duelists, and that isn't something to achieve easily." Sheppard explained smiling. "From her potential how can I say she failed?"
"Almost won... Chancellor were we watching the same duel? I'm sorry but she's simply not even close to being ready to attend Duel Academy... perhaps she can try again next year." Dr. Crowler pointed out.
"I object to that Vellian." Yuzu stood up looking at him. "Results aren't everything, true she lost but she shown us what we seen in all duelists."
Dr. Crowler flinched at that before frowning. "She performed one move."
"And that one move shown us vast amounts of potential. If Sea Stealth Attack's targeted, then Crimson Fox would negate it, and allow both of them to gain 1000 points." Yuzu revealed to her brother. "Purple Butterfly also allows a monster to gain 1000 points. What I seen is the performance she done showing us she has lots of potential that needs to be cultured well. So I agree with Chancellor Sheppard's decision, welcome to Duel Academy, Betty."
"Sweet, then the party can also be a welcome party for you Betty." Jaden grinned.
They all cheered at this while Betty smiled before turning to Frisk who smiled to her.
