I hope you like this update!!! I'm trying my best to update more frequently!!! And seeing as anything relating to SkyClan, which is my favorite Clan, is very motivational!!! I can't wait till I get to some of the good parts of the story!!! I especially can't wait till I finish and get onto SkyClan's Destiny!!!

Writing Tigerstar is really fun but hard getting into character!!! I'm a hopeless romantic and having such a ruthless, manipulative, badass personality like Tigerstar isn't easy!!! I go back to the original series to gain inspiration!!! Tigerstar may be redeemed but he still carries some of his old personality traits!!! Which isn't all that bad!!!

Fire x Tiger fluff incoming!!!

Also some ship names for Fire x Tiger: Tigerheart, Fireclaw, Firetiger, Tigerfire, ironically Tigerstar or Firestar!!!

Warning: Gore and Blood

Also leave a review!!! Can't see my stats so I can't really tell how many people are reading my fics!!!

Tigerstar knew he was dreaming when the dark tabby warrior found himself in a barn, a sense of unease washed over him. A knot was forming in his stomach, and Tigerstar felt queasy—unwell.

He could see blood and gore staining the floor of the wooden barn, he couldn't make out what the cause of all the blood was or where it was coming from.

He could just imagine the smell of the barn. The smell of rotting flesh and wet wood. The mold and mildew growing on the old splintered wood would be distinct in the air, and the smell of blood would be heady. Tigerstar could just picture the flies buzzing about, breaking the silence. The sound of dripping blood would be present, and...and…

Tigerstar woke up with a start. Rapidly blinking away the blur of sleep, he took a deep breath of fresh morning dew. Trying to replace the lingering scent of blood with something that wouldn't send his hackles rising. Glancing beside him, still deep in sleep, Tigerstar calmed at the gentle rise and fall of Firestar's sleek flame-colored flank.

Fireheart looked beautiful in the dawning light of morning. Her ginger pelt lit up as though her fur was living fire. It shimmered a mesmerizing orange. Her dainty pink noise twitched from time to time, causing her sleek whiskers to gently brush against her cheeks. And her slightly crooked tail would occasionally flick in her sleep.

Tigerstar could stare at the she-cat all day.

With a soft sigh tumbling out of his mouth, Tigerstar stood up and approached the large pool of water that he and his companion were using to find SkyClan. There was a beautiful waterfall pouring down into the pool not far off, and droplets of water were cascading into the air—creating a light sheen of mist.

Yet, as Tigerstar approached the clear surface of the water, he couldn't help but think about his time on this journey, how the days were passing them all by quickly. They spent the time making good ground, but they weren't any closer to getting to where SkyClan fled too.

Sometimes doubts would slip in. What if this was a mistake or what if this isn't the way to find them? Those thoughts would make him hesitate but he has come too far to turn back now.

If only it wasn't so hot. Then perhaps Tigerstar could think more clearly. Tigerstar, though thankful for how plentiful greenleaf would bring to the Clans, the ShadowClan leader hated how heated his coat would get. When in ShadowClan the dark tabby would have the shade of the trees and the coolness of the marshlands, even in ThunderClan he was protected by the trees. The only thing out here were sparse leaf trees that were scattered across an expanse of bare rocky surfaces and cliffs.

Shaking his massive head and clearing his thoughts, Tigerstar marched up to the glistening pool of water, and as he stretched his neck forwards to take a refreshing drink he stared at his reflection. The water looked so clear, and felt cool on his tongue.

Tigerstar didn't see the harm in just standing in it.

Carefully, Tigerstar began to slide down into the water, his eyes narrowed into slits. After spending most of his day out in the summer heat, the cool pool was refreshing and nice. The hard, rocky, stoned ground was always blistering hot and dry on his paws, so taking a dip in the shallow edge of river water was nice. He enjoyed it.

With a content purr, Tigerstar began to settle down into the cool water, his muscles relaxing. Tigerstar could feel his heated skin slowly cooling down, though the ShadowClan leader knew later that drying his thick tabby pelt would be quite the struggle, Tigerstar was slumping deeper into the pool of water.

Yet, as the dark tabby continued to relax in the water, he could hear the bushes behind him rustling. Tigerstar didn't react though, his ears picking up the sound of dainty paws that stopped right at the edge of the river, and he knew exactly who's pawsteps those belonged to.

"Did you turn into a RiverClan cat overnight?"

Tigerstar snorted at Firestar's teasing. He flicked his tail in the she-cats direction, managing to spray her with drops of water that had clung to his tail. The ginger she-cat playfully hissed back at him, though her jade green eyes were sparkling with mirth.

"You can come join me," Tigerstar invited, "it's a good way to keep you cool."

"No thanks. I like my paws dry."

Tigerstar wondered if that was truly the case. The massive, dark tabby tom liked to think he knew Firestar better than anyone else. He knew that Firestar hadn't been the same since Bluestar, ThunderClan's previous leader and Firestar's predecessor, had sacrificed her life in order to save Firestar, and by extension Tigerstar, from a pack of bloodthirsty dogs.

The pale blue-gray she-cat had ended up going over a cliff and into a rushing river that ultimately drowned her in the end. Both Tigerstar and Firestar had jumped in to save her but it had all been in vain and they had to watch as Bluestar had died, surrounded by her half-clan children, deputy and would-be murderer.

It made him wonder if Firestar was reminded of that experience whenever they came across a river. If the flame-colored she-cat had thought about Bluestar when they were in the middle of that flood and got separated. Admittedly, it made him think of the old ThunderClan leader he once served under.

Tigerstar decided to not call Firestar out on the assumption. If the ThunderClan she-cat didn't want to cool off in the river, who was he to force her? Tigerstar was content with closing his eyes and basking in the moment.

"You look like a mud puddle." The comment came right out of the blue, one that baffled Tigerstar and caused his amber eyes to snap open and look over his shoulder in bewilderment at the flame-colored she-cat. Who didn't look the least bit ashamed. "Well it's true."

Tigerstar's eyes narrowed into slits. With a powerful stride he pulled himself up out of the river and shook out his coat. Sending a spray of water droplets all over Firestar, who hissed in surprise.

"And now I know where Squirrelflight gets her temperament from." The ThunderClan leader murmured in amusement, the drops of water gliding down her sleek pelt like a duck's back. Which one of them truly was made to be a RiverClan cat?

"I would have told you that, if you'd have asked." Tigerstar snorted, though he fondly recalled his reckless, hotheaded ThunderClan daughter who was just as adventurous and daring as her mother. He always knew that Squirrelflight would take after him. She had his determination, drive and confidence. Squirrelflight didn't take no as an answer, and pushed boundaries. She

had her mother's ability to attract danger, but Squirrelflight had Tigerstar's ability to face it. "Though, Tawnypelt takes after you."

Tawnypelt, his lean, mottled, tortoiseshell-and-white ShadowClan daughter, with her mother's inherited clear green eyes. Tawnypelt had been a great supporter ever since she had joined ShadowClan. Tawnypelt was there for him, had sat with him on many occasions and shared tongues about the things that would have been mundane and unfulfilling compared to having Tawnypelt in his life to experience and share those things with. His daughter took it upon herself to look after his health and wellbeing, more so than either Runningnose or Littlecloud, and wasn't afraid to put him in his place. Tawnypelt had her mother's intuition, her father's wit, and the ability to get Tigerstar to do just about anything.

"That's good to hear," Firestar meowed, coming to rub up against Tigerstar's, "it lets me know that she isn't letting you off the hook if you do something mouse-brained."

Tigerstar couldn't stop the purr rumbling up from deep inside his chest. Because, no, Tawnypelt certainly did not hold back when it comes to Tigerstar or his decisions. The tortoiseshell-and-white ShadowClan warrior would scrutinize every twitch of his whiskers. Would question his every order, and would want everything explained in detail. He loved his daughter as much as he wanted to run from her.

It had been hard leaving Tawnypelt, Hawkfrost and his Clan behind. It was safer for them not to come on such a treacherous journey, one that was already proving difficult for the pair of Clan leaders. But that didn't mean Tigerstar didn't miss seeing them everyday. When he woke up each morning he first thoughts would be about his children, and what they were doing. Then he'd think about Firestar. He hoped both his ShadowClan and ThunderClan children were safe and being taken care of. He hoped his Clan was prospering even without him. And he hoped that he could return soon.

"Let's catch some prey, then get moving." Tigerstar suggested, gently nudging Firestar in order to get them moving.

"I couldn't agree more." Firestar murmured, taking quicker pawsteps in order to match Tigerstar's leisure pace. The height difference between them always did amuse Tigerstar. But for now Tigerstar thought it best not to bring up such an age-old argument so early in the morning. Especially since neither of them have eaten since the rabbit they shared last night. "I need to work out the kinks that transpired from sleeping on the bare, hard rock ground."

Tigerstar and Firestar slowly continued to travel upstream, this time their ears pricked and eyes searching for signs of prey. They followed the river, wanting to keep it in their sights at all times. Not wanting to be separated from it and get lost. When Firestar halted, so did Tigerstar, the dark tabby watched with keen eyes as the ginger she-cat stretched her jaws wide to taste the air. And seeing Firestar's reaction, it seems as though the ThunderClan leader smelled something. "There," she murmured.

Tigerstar followed to where Firestar was pointing towards. It was a vole, pulling itself out of the water a couple of tail lengths up the bank. "If we're not careful, it'll go straight back into the river."

"Then I suppose you should stay here," Tigerstar murmured, briefly laying the tip of his tail on Firestar's shoulder. "I don't want you to fall in and then have to save you."

"One time when I was an apprentice--"

Tigerstar left Firestar grumbling to herself as he slinked along a boulder that came up behind the vole. When the tom was close to it, he leaped to the edge of the river, the water splashing up around his paws. Startled, the vole dashed up the bank, straight into Firestar's paws. Tigerstar watched in satisfaction as the she-cat killed it with a swift bite to the neck.

"That was brilliant!" Firestar exclaimed as Tigerstar joined her, shaking his wet paws.

"And you didn't even have to get your paws wet." Tigerstar remarked, feeling more awake with the thrill of the hunt.

"Yes. Whatever would I do if I didn't have my big, strong RiverClan warrior to help me keep my paws from getting wet." Firestar mocked, her whiskers twitching in a show of exuberance.

"I'm not a RiverClan cat." Tigerstar retorted, flicking droplets of water off his whiskers. "Now let's eat, while it's still warm."

As they shared the vole, the daylight grew stronger and the sun came up. The sky was blue, with only a few faint traces of cloud, high and misty. Tigerstar felt the warmth of the sun soaking into his fur. Drying it at last.

As she finished her share, Firestar sat up, washing a paw and running it over her muzzle. Tigerstar was just finishing eating the rest of the vole, when a sudden anxious look appeared on Firestar's face causing Tigerstar to stop mid-bite.

"Did you--" Firestar hesitated, causing Tigerstar to abandon the vole altogether and giving his full attention to the ThunderClan leader.

"Did I-what?" Tigerstar asked. "You can tell me."

"I had a dream last night." Firestar said, then began to explain the dream of seeing a large group of cats by the riverbank. "The gray-and-white cat that I've been seeing so often was in it. He was talking to another cat. Saying how StarClan had abandoned them and that they needed to keep going till they found a new place to live."

"I think that was the SkyClan leader," Tigerstar mused, "and the rest were his Clanmates. That's who I believe you saw in your dream."

"Then we must be on the right path." Firestar remarked, looking more confident than she had been previously. "We're getting closer."

"Yes," Tigerstar murmured aloud. "Whatever happens now, SkyClan must be found."

How did you like the chapter? I hope it wasn't too boring!!! It was supposed to be longer but since I'm writing all my stories on my phone it isn't easy!!! So although I wanted to get more done I got to stop here for now!!! I hope you enjoy and review!!! I love reviews!!! This was a fluffy chapter more so than a series one!! Though the plot is still moving along!!!

Fun facts:

Funny how Tigerheart is the son of Tawnypelt (a.k.a the grandson of Tigerstar) and basically that is the ship name for Fire x Tiger!!! And in my fic Tigerheart is going to be in honor of Tigerstar (Tigerkit) but Tigerstar gives him the warrior name in honor of Firestar (Tigerheart) so their grandson is in honor of both grandparents!!!

Of course the same could be said about their granddaughter, Fireclaw...oops! Spoiler ;)
