Telling your friends.
Yuuko was getting ready for the sleepover, she was calling Mai while packing her things.
"I'm super excited for the sleepover! Your bringing snacks, Nano-chan is bringing a movie disk, and Mio-chan has bored games!" She said with exactment.
"What are you bringing again?" Mai asked her. "Oh uh well..." Mio didn't tell her to bring anything, bet she felt weird being the only one not bringing something.
"It's a surprise! And im not gonna tell you what it is." She said while packing the last of her things. "I think I'll probably gonna read until it's time to go. That's sounds good right Mai?... Mai you there?" "Oh yes im here."
"You ok?" Yuuko asked her, she knew that when mai doesn't talk she usually has something on her mind. "... Is it ok if I ask of you something?"
Yuuko didn't really know how to respond. It was ether a trap for a joke or there was something she wanted to tell her. "Yes, of course!"
"Well... So... You know how we have been dating for about 5 months now?" Mai asked softly. Yuuko could tell that she was being genuine, and it caught her a bit off guard. "W-Why of course! How could I forget that I'm dating the prettiest girl in the whole world?"
Mai was quiet for a moment again "Is it ok if... We tell them tonight?" Yuuko froze in shock. "T-T-Tell Them?" She thought, accidently saying it out loud.
"It's ok if you don't want to, I get that this is sudden." Yuuko quickly gained back her focus on the conversation "I'm sorry I said that out loud. It was just a bit shocking, we can tell them if you want. Im good with that."
Yuuko knew that Mai didn't like people seeing them as a couple. Whenever they gone on dates she always wore a mask or something that covered her face. Whether that be a face mask, sun glasses, or even a knights helmet one time.
"I just am getting tired of hiding it." She said. Yuuko understood where she was coming from. "And I just want you to support me. But of course you'll help me, because you love me and... well... I love you." She said going back to her monotone voice." Yuuko blushed a bit, She really loved her monotone voice. something about it was so comforting to her. "hehe, yeah. Knowing you, you would probably do a prank on them to tell them."
"Hmm. I'll consider it. I'll see you tonight. love you." She said while hanging up the phone. Yuuko slowly held her phone close to her chest. Even though It had been a while since they dated, She still felt flustered whenever Mai showed her love. Whether it be getting a kiss on the cheek or being called cute be her. Not to mention the dozens of pet names Mai had given her, stupid or not.
After some time Yuuko started to walk to Mai's house. It was when the sun was starting to set and the sky was a warm red with the clouds being a hue of purple. Yuuko walked slowly, taking in the scenery and taking a deep breath in. She was thinking to herself how her and Mai were together. Her heart started to flutter as she thought about being on a date with her. Imagining them on a nice picnic, enjoying the warm colored sky, laying side by side together. maybe even falling asleep on her shoulder.
"I wish she was here right now." She thought out loud while holding her hands together.
"Well, I am right here." Yuuko heard someone say from besides her. She quickly looked besides her to see... Mai.
"M-M-Mai-Chan!?" She said, startled, confused, and a bit embarrassed. Mai said nothing but put out her hand, signaling her to hold it.
"How long have you been besides me?"
"Oh, for a little while. I had a feeling you would talk about me out loud. And I wanted to see your cute startled face."
Yuuko didn't say anything. She just slowly held Mai's hand while looking away from her.
"let's just go" She said while starting to walk again.
by the time they got to Mio's house the lighting was closer to a more of a blueish color. "Oh yeah, before I forget." Mai said as she was ringing the doorbell. "you'll need to help me build up confidence so I can tell them." Yuuko was about to ask her what she meant before Mio opened the door.
"Hi guys!" She said in a cheery voice, "Oh, are they here?" they heard Nano say from the living room.
"H-hey Mio-Chan. Hope your doing well!" She said while still thinking about what Mai said. They went in and spent some time together playing maily just talking in the living room and making jokes. It was already about 8:30 when they started the movie. "Oh yeah, you brought some snakes right?" Mio asked Mai before she started the movie
She looked up from the book she was reading. "I did bring some snacks." She said while getting her bag. "I got this for you." She said in her usual monotone voice while pulling out a some wasabi lollypops. Mio looked at the lollypops with a straight face
"...I asked for anything but wasabi." She said while looking up at her. Nano wanted to say that she could have it but didn't want to interrupt
"oh, my mistake." She said while pulling out some red and yellow lollypops and handing them to her. "Good, I was about to..." She read what flavors the pops were in the wrappings. It said ketchup and mustered
She slowly turned to Mai with an annoyed face. "Do you even have anything other then dumb lollypops?" she said starting to get angry.
"I do have some sweets." She said while pulling out a small but fancy strawberry cheese cake from her bag. All of them were amazed at the sight of it, It looked expensive. "W-Woah... why do you just have that?" Mio asked
"Just in case you didn't like the candy" She said as she passed it to her. "Thank you! let me get some fork for it."
She got up and got some forks. "Get four forks and three plates, please." Mai said while pulling out a knife as well.
She cut the cake into 8 pieces. The slices were small, but looked tasty. "Why only three plates?" Mio asked
"I just want to share a plate with yuuko." She said as she looked at her. "for less dishes."
Yuuko blushed a little. She knew that it was only to get close to her more. She imaged her and Mai snuggling up. "Y-yeah, for less dishes."
She served the cake, making sure to save the slice with the strawberry on top of Yuuko. They watched the movie while eating. Mai and Yuuko sat close together, eating off the same plate. They both wished that they could snuggle up but worried that Nano or Mio would suspect something.
After the movie, Nano helped wash the dished with Mai. They got changed into their pajamas and went to Mio's room. Mai was the last one to change, and Yuuko waited out in the hallway for her.
"Oh, your still here." Mai said as she exited the bathroom in her. But Yuuko didn't say a thing, She was too distracted by Mai's cute pajamas. It was just an oversized white t-shirt with a cute bunny and fluffy white pajama pants with black stars all over. But seeing Mai wear what left her speechless.
"Yuuuko? You there?"
"Y-Y-Yes! I j-just think your... pretty." She said looking down a bit, blushing.
"It's good that your here actually. Can you follow me for a sec?" Yuuko looked up at her. "Yeah."
Mai lead her to a closet in the living room, far away from where Nano and Mio were. She turned on the light to the closet and signaled her to get in.
"W-Whats this about?" She asked while walking in with her. There was little space in the closet, little room to move around. Yet still it was comfortable for them.
"So you know how I said that I would need help to build up my confidence?" She asked while blushing. "Y-Yeah?" Yuuko was kinda nervously.
"I... is it ok if we... kissed a bit before we tell them?" Her voice was still monotone, but it felt more softer and calm despite her saying it slowly.
Hearing this made yuuko blush a lot, practically tomato red. 'w-w-well... I..." She was so flustered she couldn't even get a word out
"it's fine if you don't want to, I-" "YES!" Yuuko said out loud, interrupting Mai. "S-S-Sorry I do w-want to do it. I just f-feel very... everything right now." She said with a little chuckle at the end.
"Ok then" Mai said while closing the closet door. "We'll just do it for a bit, ok?" she stepped a bit closer to Yuuko.
Her calming voice soothed Yuuko, making her feel more ready. "Ok." she stepped a bit closer to her and put her arms around her. They didn't say anything, they just looked into each others eyes. Slowly they got closer and closer, they could feel themselves blushing more and more.
Then suddenly, Mai gave her a kiss on the lips. Yuuko felt a jolt of adrenalin through her body. But she calmly leaned into the kiss. They felt their love for each other grow with each second. Feeling the passion with each moment that passed. Yuuko sometimes pulled away to catch her breath, but every time she did Mai would pull her into deeper kiss. Yuuko pulled away for a bit more to catch her breath. She fully saw her girlfriend's face. She was bright red, warm, and looked to be the prettiest girl to her.
"Y-Your so pretty Mai." She said while catching her breath. Mai said nothing, she just pulled her into another kiss. For a sec she felt their tongues touch for a moment. She gaped at the feeling of it, Her gasp was muffled by Mai kissing her. Mai pulled back while chuckling. "your so cute Yuuko." She said in loving monotone voice. Hearing this made her fall in love with Mai even more.
"I love how cute you are, I love how adorable your pajamas are, I love how amazing you are." She kept on listing things she loved about her girlfriend. Yuuko just stood there. hearing her lover speak her heart out. She didn't even realize they were holding hands. She felt herself tear up a bit, knowing how she loved her just as much as she loved her.
"And you know what?" She said, taking Yuuko by surprise a little.
"I love your lips" She said before giving her a little kiss on them.
"I love cute cheeks." She said before kissing her on the cheek a couple of times in quick succession .
"I love your nose" before kissing her on her nose.
"And I love your neck" She said before kissing her repletely on the neck.
"Mai stooooop, that tickles" She said laughing a little. This was the most intimate Mai had shown to her. And it felt like the best moment in her life. She wished that they could just keep on kissing each other and saying how much they love one another all night.
"I love you so much." Mai said while pulling back. "I love you too, I love being with you." Yuuko said while looking into her eyes. "I can't wait to be with you everyday once we're married."
Mai got surprised by her saying that. Yuuko immediately felt stupid for saying that. "Wait! I just um, I kinda..." She couldn't say anything, she felt like she fumbled the entire moment they had. That was until she felt her girlfriend hug her. "We'll get married one day, I'm happy that you had the same thought as me."
Yuuko looked back to her, she hugged Mai back. "If we do get married, can the cake be coconut flavored?" She asked while resting her head on Mai's shoulder.
"Of course dear" Hearing her say that made her feel like she was just blessed by angel. "A-And can we both wear flower crowns when walking down the aisle?"
"Yes dear."
"And can... I dont really know what else to ask. I just want you to call me dear more." She chuckled a little. "I can call you dear all you want if we go on a date next Sunday."
"Deal!"
"...Oh yeah, were supposed to be with Mio and Nano." Mai commented, she remembered that they were in Mio's house. "I kinda forgot too, guess we just got too into the moment." Both of them chuckled.
They both left the closet, they both saw Yoshino in the living room, reading some manga. Both of them froze up when they saw her. 'Don't worry, I won't tell." She said before going back to her manga.
"we were gonna tell them tonight anyways." Mai said.
They got back to the room, seeing Mio and Nano playing Jenga. "Oh hey, where were you guys?
"Oh uhh... we were just in the living room talking about something."
"About what?" Mio asked while pulling out a Jenga block and stacking it on top.
"Ummm... Do you want to do the talking Mai?"
She nodded her head yes and sat down criss cross with them with Yuuko following suit.
"There's been something that we have been wanting to tell you for a while. But first I want to ask... we will stay friends, right?"
Both of them gave a worried look to her. "Y-Yeah of course, whats this about?" Nano asked. "Yeah what is this about? Your more serious then usual." In mio's mind this was probably just another set up for a joke, to Nano she was actually worried
"Well, I have been dating someone for a while, and I feel like it's finally time to tell you."
"I-It's not Sasahara, is it?"
"No, it's someone that's very close to me, someone that I love very much, and that you actually already know." Mai grabbed her girlfriends hand. "The person im dating is" She lifted Yuuko's hand in the air "is Yuuko Aioi."
Mio and Nano lifted their eyebrows, surprised. They were shocked to hear. Mio's mouth was a gasp. "whow... really?"
"Yep!" Yuuko said happily as they put their hand down. "She is my beautiful girlfriend!" She hugging her and pulled her closer.
"Awwww" Nano responded while smiling "I'm happy for you two."
Mio was still a buit frozen in shock. "I'm just surprised you actually wanted to be with Yuuko, no offence but she can be a bit dumb sometimes."
"Hey!" ):
"That's kinda why I like her so much." Mai said while looking away from them. "But it's nice hearing that you support us, I was kinda afraid that you wouldn't really like us if you knew that we were gay, or I guess lesbians is the right term."
"Of course we support you." Mio told them.
"Yeah, we can see how you two love each other very much!" Nano noted.
"Yeah your right, I actually have something that shows how much we love each other." Mai said while standing up and walking towards the door. Everyone didn't know what she was up to, Yuuko included.
"What do you mean by that?" Yuuko asked
She looked back at all of them and flicked off the light switch. The room went dark, it wasn't so dark that you couldn't see anything, but you could only really see the silhouette of everyone. Yukko saw that Mai had something glowing pink on her lips, it looked smudged as well.
"Mai whats that on your mouth?" She looked towards Nano and Mai to see if they were just as confused, They were dumbfounded with their jaws on the floor, looking at yuuko.
"Why are you looking at me weirdly? Do I-" A thought went through her mind. "what if the glowing thing is lipstick... wait... wait... wait that would mean that... THAT..." She rubbed her figure on her neck and looked at it.
It was glowing the same pink that Mai had.
There were glow in the dark kiss marks all over her face and neck.
"And that's how much I lo-"
"MAAAAAAAIIIIII-CHAAAAANNNNNN" Yukko screamed while running to turn on the light switch. Mio following suit to punch the hell out of her. Nano was still in shock from what she saw, her gear was turning fastwith steam coming out of her ears.
Yuuko turned the light switch back on before getting tackled my Mio, She grabbed a news paper nearby, rolled it up and started to hit her with it. "NEVER DO THAT IN MY HOUSE EVER AGAIN!" She yelled
"TELL THAT TO MAI, SHES TO BLAME!" She said, trying to block her attacks. Mai just stood there taking in the moment, She couldn't believe that her plan worked, It was hard finding lipstick that was invisible in light but glowed brightly in the dark. not to mention how she set everything up, putting the lipstick on while in the bathroom before going with her girlfriend.
But it was all worth is, to show everyone how much she loved her girlfriend.

Both Mio and Nano were sleeping, Mio in her bed, Nano in her sleeping bed, and Yukko and Mai wraped in a blanket.
"Im still not forgiving you" She pouted while turning away.
"Didn't you say that I should have done a prank to tell them." Mai said
"...Not responding, oh well." She turned to face her "Before you fall asleep, I just want to say this," Her girlfriend said before hugging her from behind. "...I love you." She whispered in her ear.
They wee both quiet until Yuuko let out a quiet laugh "Love you too Mai."
