I could go on and on about my baby sister too but we would be here for a very long time. Anyway here ya go! Sorry if this chapter is really short it's midnight which is the normal time I get energy and insperation.

Chapter 25: ROSE

Tommy McJoe tied up the last rope on his cart that carried new farming supplies that he got. He wiped sweat from his head and fixed his hat so that the summer sun wouldn't be in his eyes. It had been two months since he found his friend's farm. He was a fang for nine long years until the Maker used the melding to heal everyone and bring everything back to life. Tommy was looking for people he recognized but couldn't find anyone so, he decided to go visit a few places he remembered. And that's when he found William Zackmens' farm. Oh, how he and William were best friends. Many memories flooded his mind when he walked down the road to the little farm. He walked up the steps, feeling nostalgia rise in him as he went and knocked on the door. No answer. He knocked again hoping someone was there. Silence was his answer. Maybe he's out somewhere? He thought. He walked around the house but didn't see anyone or anything except for an open field waiting to be plowed and grow a beautiful garden.

Now two months later he still couldn't find William. He tried going to the farm at different times of the day but he was never there. Maybe in town? No. Not there either. Tommy went as far as visiting different towns to see if William had wandered somewhere. The thought of William being dead would creep into his mind every now and then but he pushed that thought to the side. Although it was very much a reality he didn't want that as a reason to stop searching. He needed proof to tell him if he should keep searching for his friend or if he really was gone. He prayed constantly asking the Maker to help him find Will (as most people called him). But still silence was the answer he got.

He looked up at people and horses and wagons going from one place to another. Everything looked busy but it all flowed together in a way that it wasn't chaotic. Tommy looked left to right trying to point out any familiar faces, mainly William's. His eyes landed on one person that made him jump a bit when he realized who it was. Artham Wingfeather. He remembered meeting him at a festival for Anniera's birthday and being good friends ever since. It took a few seconds before Artham found Tommy and recognized him. Artham made his way to Tommy who was a bit surprised at seeing the wings on his back. He remembered people saying how Artham got his wings but still didn't know what to expect. Once Artham got to his wagon Tommy smile and said, "Well, howdy, Artham! It's been a while hasn'it?" He put out his hand and Artham shook it with a big smile on his face.

"Tommy! It's been to long!" Artham said, "How are you?"

"I'm doin' alright. How 'bout you?"

"I'm doing fine as well."

"I thought so cause word on the street is you finally gettin' married!"

Artham laughed,"Yes, in about five months."

"You excited?"

"Absolutely! Esben is already making jokes at how long it took for me to be engaged to Arundelle."

Tommy laughed, "Sounds like Esben alright. But, uh, how's the rest of the family?"

"They're all doing good. Janner, Kalmar, and Leeli are still figuring out how to rule a country but I'm sure they'll get the hang of it."

"Well they sure do have good help with you and Esben around. How old are they again?"

"Janner is thirteen, Kalmar is eleven and Leeli will turn ten in a couple of weeks."

"Wow, they've grown a lot more than I thought. I remember them being so little."

"I know it's all gone by so fast. But has anything happened with you?"

"Well, the latest thing that I had to go through is figurin' out how to keep a farm in shape by myself."

"You have a farm now?"

"Yeah, I guess you could say that. I was walkin' down a road 'till I found the Zackmen's farm."

"The Zackmen's? You mean William Zackmen?"

"Yeah, you remember him was kinda a real skinny short kid at first. But anyway I found his family's farm and tried lookin' for Will but so far I haven't seen him. For all I know he's either somewhere outside of Anniera or he's…" Tommy stopped not exactly wanting to voice his fear and luckily Artham knew what he meant so he wouldn't have to.

"You know" Artham said after a little bit of silence, "Esben and I were actually just talking about him a couple days ago. I found a painting of his farm in a painting shop and Esben even had a sketch of it in his old sketchbook"

"Tommy?" A women's voice came from beside them. "Tommy McJoe is that you?" Arundelle said as she walked towards them with a teenage girl who had black hair, one brown eye and one blue eye beside her. But it was the girl that surprised Tommy the most. She looked liked someone he knew but he didnt' want to say anything yet. But instead he decided to answer Arundelle's question.

"Yes mam," He said with a nod, "It's me."

"It's been so long!" Arundelle exclaimed.

"Yeah, Artham here was tellin' me about yall's wedding. Congratulations!" Tommy said.

"Thank you. Artham, I just wanted to let you know that me and Laylah are heading down to the game field where some kids are playing Zibzy. Oh, which reminds me Tommy, this Laylah and Laylah this is Tommy."

Laylah? Tommy thought. "Hello miss." He said.

Laylah nodded, "Hello."

"Now we have to head to that game if you want to play it." Arundelle told Laylah who smiled before running off down the sidewalk.

"Laylah stay with…" Artham's voice trailed away as Laylah ran out of earshot.

"I'll go get her. I'm pretty sure she knows where the field is so I think she'll be fine." Arundelle said.

"Alright I'll catch up soon." Artham said.

"Alright. It was nice to see you Tommy." Arundelle waved with a smile.

"It was nice to see you too." Tommy said. Once Arundelle began to walk in the direction that Laylah went Tommy said, " Laylah? She seems familiar."

Artham looked at him surprised. "You see it too?"

"Ya mean how she looks familiar?"

"Yes. She was in the painting shop with me when we saw the painting of Will's farm. She said it looked familiar but she doesn't remember going there."

"Where are her parents?"

"I'm not sure. The only thing I know about her is that she was alone in the Deeps of Throg since she was seven. She's been silent about her past ever since."

"Artham, do you remember Will's wife and daughter?"

"A little bit. Lately I've been having a hard time remembering who people are."

"Wasn't his wife named Laylah?"

Artham froze. "Yeah, and his daughter was named Rose." There was a moment of silence between the two men who were taking in the facts that they knew. "And if I'm remembering correctly, "Artham continued, "Laylah looks familiar because-"

"Because she looks like Rose!" Tommy finished. "Wait, why would she say her name is Laylah whenever her name is actually Rose?"

"She might not remember her own name." Artham said.

"How?"

"She's a Darkstoner, which is kind of like a cloven or a Fang but she can change her form between human and a creature. But I think it still could mess up your memory. I was thinking of bringing her to that farm that she recognized to see if she'll remember more things about her past."

"Are ya free tomorrow?"

"I should be."

"Then maybe why don't you bring Laylah over to the farm."

Artham smiled, "Thank you, Tommy."

"Anytime." He smiled back. Then Artham turned down the sidewalk to the field where the game was going to be. Tommy watched Artham go as he thought about the interesting conversation.

Even though I didn't find William I at least I found his daughter. Tommy thought. Or at least that was his guess. He couldn't remember meeting any other girl that looked like Rose. A little burst of excitement rushed through Tommy. That girl was Rose it just had to be.

Author's Note…Again: If you would like to read it please do

First off I just want to say thank you for the reviews and for reading especially since there were many times where I didn't post for months but ya'll still read it and I'm happy and I'm glad ya'll are liking it so far.

Secondly I've been having an idea for a fanfiction for this book series called Mapmaker Chronicles. And I was wondering if anybody knew how to add a fandom. If that makes sense.(It's 4 am so I might start wording things in weird way ya know?). Because I haven't been able to find it on here and I think in order to post a fanfiction you have to put it under a catergory or something like that. And I also plan to write a couple of fanfictions that crossover Wingfeather Saga and Mapmaker Chronicles. The crossover ones actually connect to this one. So if anybody knows how to do that and if you are willing to tell me I'm all ears. If not that's alright. I'll just post the crossover ones under the Wingfeather Saga catagory?

I hope this made sense for you I apologize if it doesn't. Ok that's all enjoy your day or night. Good Night! ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz.
