Jem and the Holograms

(Screen is black, until a certain Silver Eyed girl, only with lavish pink hair and make up, appears on screen, and a giant sign saying Jem appears behind her)

"Hey! It's me!" said Ruby.

Jem (Jem is excitement)
Ooh, Jem (Jem is adventure)
Ooh (glamour and glitter, fashion and fame)

(Giant sign of her name explodes, and the band rushed to the rescue. Clip of Jem and Jaune kiss)

"Woah!" said Yang, flirtingly, "You got a little kiss from Vomit Boy."

"Hey, he's with Pyrrha," said Ruby, "I'm not gonna steal him from her! Besides, this is an alternate universe."

Jem (Jem is truly outrageous, truly, truly, truly outrageous)
Whoa, Jem (Jem), the music's contagious (outrageous)
Jem is my name, no one else is the same

(All the band is seen from different angles. Weiss jamming on the main guitar, Blake playing the Drums, Yang playing the keys. Just then, the Misfits appear pushing the screen aside.)

"Cinder, Emerald and Neo," said Roman, "Seems like they're a rival band."

"They are," said Seth, "They're called, the Misfits. And as the name suggests, they cause that a lot. And their music style is different as well. The Misfits often sing about greed and selfishness, while Jem and the Holograms, the band Team RWBY forms in this universe, often sing about compassion, and love."

"Huh," said Mercury, "Seems fitting."

But we're The Misfits

We are The Misfits, The Misfits
And we're gonna get her

(Jem then pushes herself and the band back onto screen)

Jem (Jem), the music's contagious (outrageous)

(Jem is put into a flash of light, and transforms back into Ruby.)

"Woah," said Nora, "That was awesome!"

"I'm curious," said Summer, "Why did Ruby take up singing in this universe?"

"Well," said Seth, "Tai actually started a music company here, and you were a famous singer Summer."

"I've heard Summer sing before," said Qrow, "I could see her doing that if she never decided to be a Huntress."

It was a big opening night for a brand new band. All over, people were cheering for the band who had gone to the top in just a few weeks of their debut.

A fancy car pulled up, as the crowd cheered, "JEM! JEM! JEM! JEM!"

"Here they are!" said Seth, "The band you've all been waiting for! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN JEM, AND THE HOLOGRAMS!"

The first person to step out of the vehicle is a girl with white hair and blue eyes. Her outfit consists of a lavender sweater with a belt, a purple skirt, purple tights and purple heels. She has pink eye shadow and blue make up matching her hair.

"Weiss! Weiss! Weiss! Weiss!"

Following Weiss, is an girl with black curly hair that sticks out to the sides. Her outfit is a purple dress, an oversized, silver jacket and purple heels. She wears orange eyeshadow and has two pink streaks on her cheeks. On top of her head, cat ears with loop earrings were seen.

"Blake! Blake! Blake! Blake!"

Following Blake, is another young lady who has purple eyes and blonde hair. She wears many different outfits throughout the series, but her most common is a white jacket with a red, ruffled shirt, blue slacks and pink heels.

"Yang! Yang! Yang! Yang!"

And finally, the leader of the band steps out, dressed in a pink dress, which she wears frequently. This outfit consists of a dark pink dress with a diagonally cut hem and a long V-cut neckline that shows her breast cleavage, a white leather belt with a silver sparkly layer, a blue screened decoration over the top, and very fine numbers of silver tassels, clear or light pink stockings, dark pink pumps, and a silver bracelet on her left wrist with a pink stone on it a pair of "magical" crimson star earrings.

The crowd went wild, and cheered, "JEM! JEM! JEM! JEM!"

"I gotta say," said Coco, "Love those outfits. Although, how come Weiss, Blake and Yang all have the same names, but Ruby changed hers?"

"Well," said Seth, "There will be an explanation soon. But it includes Roman."

Soon, reporters flocked around Jem, asking, "Are you going to make another album?/What's your real name?/What's it like to be famous?"

That last question, for Jem, made her think back to when this all started.

She then thought to herself, "I remember how it all began, with the unexpected death of my father."

People were gather at a graveyard, and it started to storm. Ruby, with her normal hair, was holding Jaune close, when a familiar man walked up to her.

"Ruby," said Roman, "You have my deepest sympathies."

"Okay, that's a bit weird," said Tai, "Why is Roman being so kind?"

"Well, Ruby knew Roman through you Tai," said Seth, "In this universe, he was your business partner."

"WHAT?!"

"Yeah," said Seth, "And he was often in charge of the finances, the bills. However, he had his eyes on the top spot, that Tai had, manager."

"Seems about right," said Roman, taking a puff from his cigar, "Wouldn't settle for second best in a business."

"Thank you Mr. Torchwick," said Ruby.

"Please, call me Roman," said Roman, "And if you ever need anything, just talk to me."

"She has all the help she needs," said Jaune, gently escorting Ruby away."

"Jaune means well!" said Ruby, "I appreciate the offer!"

"I can see Roman double crossing Ruby in this universe," said Weiss.

"Jeez," said Roman, "Little respect."

"Not for you at all," said Ghira, glaring at him.

"My Father left us with two inheritance. One was his music company, Starlight Music, and the other was a home for foster girls, Starlight House."

"A Foster Home," said Qrow, "Seems pretty nice. I wonder why he started it?"

"Well," said Seth, "In this universe, Weiss and Blake were orphans that Tai and Summer adopted, and when Summer died, Tai decided to take in more girls to help them find homes."

"Wait," said Ruby, "Mom is... dead in this universe."

"There will be an explanation for that later," said Seth, "Just... don't dive too deep into it."

All around, everyone around the house was doing chores to clean up the house.

Weiss was vacuuming while beating things with a drum stick, Jaune was fixing some of the lights, and Ruby was working on the sink.

"There," said Jaune, "That should do it. Hey Weiss, flip the switch! Let's have a little light on the subject!"

"Sure thing Jaune," said Weiss, as she turned on the light.

However, the bulbs lite up, only to blow up. Then, the vacuum started going haywire, and rammed into the ladder, with Jaune landing on the bag, popping it. Finally, the dust flew to Ruby, and made her sneeze, snapping the pipe off, and water flowing everywhere.

"Ruby! Ruby!" said one of the foster girls, "We have troubles!"

"Wow," said Weiss, "Why is it in such disrepair?"

"You can thank Roman for that," said Seth.

"Tell me about it," said Ruby.

Later, Ruby was being dried off by Glynda Goodwitch.

"What's my role in this?" asked the professor.

"Basically," said Seth, "You're a volunteer at the home, and you're like a mother figure to Team RWBY."

"The wiring shot," said Jaune.

"And the vacuum cleaner's had it," said Weiss.

"Jaune fell right on top of it," said Velvet, "I can see them needing a whole new one."

"And we need new plumbing and furniture," said Yang.

"What we need is money to fix this place up," said Blake.

"Well," said Glynda, finishing drying off Ruby, "Your father always used to get money from Starlight Music to keep things running."

"That's it!" said Ruby, heading to a new outfit, "Why can't I?"

"Because Roman is not gonna give it willingly I bet," said Oobleck.

"Guilty as charged," said Roman.

Ruby arrived at Starlight Music, and headed to Roman's office. She was currently wearing a blue and pink striped outfit, and hat with a fabric belt on her waist. When she arrived, she saw the receptionist.

"May I help you?" asked the receptionist.

"Um, Ruby Rose, to see Roman Torchwick," said Ruby, "Where's Gloria?"

"I wouldn't know," said the woman, "Mr. Torchwick hired me last week."

Ruby just went into the office, despite protests from the receptionist.

"Making yourself at home in my father's office, Mr. Torchwick?" asked Ruby.

"Ruby, darling," said Roman, "What a surprise."

"You know," said Roman, "I might start my own business. I look good in that suit."

"I need money for Starlight House," said Ruby, "Father left half of the company to me!"

"Ruby, Darling, you're just a kid. I'm running the company now," said Roman, turning towards the window, "And I'm planning on turning Starlight Music into the most powerful recording company in the country."

He turned around, saying, "But to do that, I need fresh blood. New talent, like the Misfits!"

"Cinder!"

"Emerald!"

"And Neapolitan!"

They rode in on bikes looking like guitars, and the Misfits started singing.

The Misfits ride around Ruby, and they soon make it look like a record, and Ruby falls to the ground.

The Misfits crash out of the window, and chase Ruby down on a music streak.

"Is this really happening?" asked Nora.

"The singing, yes, but the events, like the chasing, it's all in their heads," said Seth, "So expect that with all the music videos in this universe."

I've got what it takes
And I'm on the attack
Going after the prize
And nothing's gonna hold me back, hoo

(Cinder then launches Ruby off of a hit the bell carnival game)

(Ruby lands in a bumper car, as does Cinder)

(The two then crash, and Ruby is launched into the air, and lands on a platform above some water)

"Jeez," said Ruby, "Don't I get a break in this song?"

"Doesn't seem like it," said Qrow.

I've got what it takes
And I'm on the attack
Going after the prize
And nothing's gonna hold me back, hoo

(Cinder then punches a target twice, and it makes Ruby drop into the water.)

(Ruby then falls through a roof, and lands in a throne room, where Cinder comes in, and drops Ruby into a trap door under the chair, and takes a seat there.)

"Wow," said Nora, "I know they're the bad guys, but that was pretty good."

"I hate to say it," said Ruby, "But I actually agree with Nora."

"Just wait til our song comes," said Yang to her team.

The scene then changes into the office once more, and shows Emerald and Neo beside Cinder, who is sitting down.

"Now," said Roman, "Tomorrow, I've arranged for a battle of the bands concert."

"And we're gonna win," said Cinder smugly.

"Because Roman made sure that all the other bands are so lousy, we'll sound great!" said Emerald.

"Not that we already don't, right Neo?"

"Yeah," said Neo, "We're the best!"

"Really!?" exclaimed Goodwitch, "Cheating!?"

"Hey, I do what I do best in any universe," said Roman, "Lie, cheat, steal, and survive."

"And then you get eaten by a Grimm," said Seth.

Roman looked around, getting defensive, as Seth said, "PHYSIC!"

The theater burst out in laughter with Roman looking steamed.

"Not funny!" he said.

"How dare you use my father's company to promote this... this trash!" said Ruby.

"Who you calling Trash whimp!?" demanded Cinder.

"Now ladies," said Roman, breaking up the fight before it could start, "No need to fight. Ruby, I'm in charge of Starlight Music, and there's nothing you can do about it."

Ruby glared, and stormed out saying, "I wouldn't be so sure, Roman Darling."

The door slammed behind Ruby.

"No way would I let Roman ruin my family's legacy," said Ruby.

"I'd be by you the whole way as well," said Yang.

"But the real question is, how?" asked Jaune, "Your counterparts don't have the money they need right now."

Later that night, Ruby looked in the mirror, saying, "I am not going to let Roman get away with ruining my father's music company!"

"But what can we do by tomorrow?" asked Weiss.

"Oh, Ruby," said Yang, "I just remembered, this came in today."

On the desk, was a small box that had Ruby's name on it. She opened it up, and looked inside.

"Oh, what beautiful earrings," said Ruby.

"Wow," said Amelia, "They're pretty."

"Do you think I could have any like them?" asked Macie.

"Maybe some day," said Salem, smiling at her daughters.

"Actually," said Seth, "Those Earrings are gonna be the key to helping them."

"How?" asked Summer.

"You'll see," smirked Seth.

"I wonder who sent them," said Weiss.

Blake chuckled, "I'll bet it was Jaune."

Ruby then decided to try them on, and Yang said, "Oh I love them."

"Who ever sent them sure has good taste," said Blake.

Just then, the wind picked up, blowing open the window door. Yang, Weiss and Blake all closed it back up, and looked back at Ruby. She was looking at a strange woman who had just appeared out of nowhere.

"Ruby Rose," said the woman, "I have come for you."

"What the hell!?" exclaimed Nora, "Is she an alien!?"

"And why does she sound like me?" asked Summer.

"No," said Seth, "I'm sure you'll be surprised by what happens next."

"What do you mean?" asked Weiss.

Ruby was in shock, as were the other three women in the room.

"You will find instructions in the earring box," said the woman, "Follow them."

Ruby stood up, and put her hands against the woman, only to find that there was nothing there.

"I am waiting for you Ruby," said the woman, as she disappeared.

"Her hands went through her, and she disappeared!" said Jaune, "Is she a... ghost?"

"No," said Seth, "She was a hologram."

"A hologram?" asked Ironwood, "But, if she was a hologram, where was the projector?"

"In order for her to be a hologram, there needs to be a multiple projections that reflect off of something that will make it look like a 3D image," said Penny.

"You'll soon find out," said Seth.

"Well, let's go!" said Ruby.

The girls climbed into a van, and followed the instructions that were inside the box. Soon, they arrived at an abandoned drive-in theater, and found the woman waiting for them.

"This is the weirdest thing we've ever done," said Blake as they pulled into theater. Up by a concrete wall, was the woman they saw earlier.

"Welcome Ruby Rose," said the woman, "Come. Continue to drive forward."

"What, through the wall!?" exclaimed Yang.

"Do not be alarmed," said the woman, "Things are not always as they seem."

The woman then walked through the wall, almost as if nothing was there.

"What is going on?" asked Winter.

"I would draw the line there," said Qrow, "Seems a bit suspicious."

"Go on Weiss," said Ruby.

"Hey, I'm crazy, but not that crazy!" replied Weiss.

"Go ahead, I have a hunch."

"Okay," said Weiss reluctantly, "Hold on."

"They're gonna crash into the wall!" exclaimed Nora.

"Not good," said Ruby, "What am I thinking!?"

Weiss drove the van through the wall, and inside, was a massive room.

"It's not real," said Yang.

"It's an illusion," said Blake.

The room was round, with support beams made of metal, going all the way and joining together in the center. And there, was the woman, on a large computer screen with lights and keyboards on it.

"What even is this piece of equipment?" asked Jacques.

"Who, or what, are you?" asked Ruby.

"I am Synergy," said the computer, "A Holographic Computer designed to be the ultimate audio and visual entertainment synthesizer."

"She looks fancy," said Nora.

"Just imagine the time and money it took to build her," whispered Yang to her family.

"Remarkable," said Pietro, "A computer that can project holograms with an AI."

"Your father spent years developing me," continued Synergy.

"Father made you?" asked Ruby.

"Dad made that?" asked Ruby.

"This version did," said Seth, "Synergy was created in memory of Summer, who died in a tragic accident."

"Oh no," said Yang, "What happened?"

"She was flying to a recording, but the plane she was on inexplicably crashed, and killed everyone on it. Crew, and passengers. Everyone was heart broken. So Tai put his time and money into creating Synergy."

Summer looked at Tai, and Tai looked back.

"Great," said Qrow, "Another universe where Summer dies. Just what we needed."

"And now I belong to you," said Synergy, "I can create completely realistic holograms, like this."

Synergy then projected a hologram of Ruby right next to her.

"And, I can even change your appearance as well," said Synergy.

Synergy then projected onto Yang, turning her into Weiss.

"EEK!" cried Yang.

"Yang," chuckled Weiss, "You never looked so good!"

Synergy then projected onto Weiss, turning her into Blake.

"Now that's an improvement," said the Faunus.

Synergy then projected onto Weiss, turning her into Yang.

"But that's even better!" said Yang.

"Hey, now you got a better body Weiss," said Yang.

Weiss knew Yang was poking at her breast size due to that.

"I have a question," said Jaune, "If Synergy was in that room at the theater the whole time, how did she appear in the room?"

"Yeah," said Roman, "Are there hidden projectors in the house?"

"We're getting to that," said Seth, "Just wait and see."

"Fantastic," said Ruby, as her sisters all changed back to themselves, "But, Synergy, if your projectors are here, how did you appear in my room?"

"Through my remote micro projectors," replied Synergy.

Ruby then touched her ears, saying, "The earrings."

"That actually makes sense," said Velvet, "Synergy didn't appear until AFTER Ruby put them on."

"Micro Projectors hidden inside earrings?" asked Pietro.

"Now that's fashionable, AND awesome," said Coco.

"Dad," said Ruby, "Is there a chance you could make Synergy yourself?"

"I don't think I can," said Tai, "I'm really not into all that science mechanics."

"Perhaps you could make some, Doctor?" asked Ironwood to Pietro.

"Yes, through them, I can create any hologram you desire," said Synergy, "Your father also left you other gifts as well Ruby. Look behind you and behold."

Synergy then projected onto the walls, and showed what was hidden behind them. One of the walls revealed a closet full of clothes.

"Look at all those clothes," said Blake, checking them out, "and they're real!"

"Never really took you for the fashion type Blake," said Yang.

"Well, I think you'd make an excellent fashion designer Blake," said Kali.

"Mom!" blushed Blake.

"Blake and fashion," said Sun, "Yeah, while I think she'd look good, I really can't see her getting into that stuff."

Another wall disappeared, and revealed speakers and instruments to start a band: Guitar, Keyboard, and Drums.

"Outrageous!" said Yang, "We've got enough equipment to start a dozen rock groups."

"This almost reminds me of the Battle of the Bands we had last semester," said Yang.

"We came so close to winning," said Ruby, "Nora did go a bit overboard."

"What?" asked Nora, "They said battle. How was I supposed to know it was a music battle and not an actual fight?"

Everyone looked at Nora, and Blake said, "It's in the title, Battle of the Bands. Of course they'll play music."

"Now you tell me," said Nora.

"And now, your father's final gift."

The floor opened up, to reveal a fancy looking car. It was an open, five-seated car with a traditional design, having a 1900s appearance. The body of the car was a lemon-yellow color with hot-pink full-bodied wings and thick, whitewall tires.

Roman whistled, "Wow, not that's a nice set of wheels."

"I think I found my dream car," said Ruby.

"I got my girls that?" asked Tai.

"Yep," said Seth, "You were very rich in this universe. So you had the money you needed."

"Oh wow!" said Blake.

"What an incredible car!" said Weiss.

"Holograms, clothes, musical instruments, this car," said Ruby, "I can't believe Father kept it all a secret."

"Well, it wouldn't have been much of a surprise if I told you girls," said Tai, "I can still remember that year you two tried to take a sneak at your birthday presents."

Ruby and Yang looked awkwardly away.

"What, they use a metal detector and a stethoscope to look into it, and then open them?" asked Weiss rhetorically.

Ruby and Yang slumped down, blushing like mad.

"Did you?" asked Weiss.

"Wait," said Ruby, "I've got it! I know how to stop Roman Torchwick!"

The screen then goes black, and opens up to the next day, showing the Battle of the Bands. The band playing was really off key with their lyrics.

"Wow," said Neo, "Roman was not kidding when he said the bands were really bad."

"Sheesh," said Nora, "Even Ren's shower singing is better than that."

Ren then put his head into his hands, as Nora realized what she just said.

"Sorry Renny," said Nora.

"Let's hear it, for the Limp, Lizards!" said Roman into the microphone, only to get boos from the crowd.

"Then let's hear it, for the Misfits!" said Roman, as the crowd changed attitude.

"And the winners of the first annual Starlight Battle of the Bands are-"

Roman was cut off, as a new band was heard playing.

There's music in the air
News is in the making
Music in the air
Something big is breaking

"Is that... me singing?" asked Ruby.

"Yes it is!" said Seth, "Ladies and Gentlemen, JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS!"

The band is seen on a stage, with Weiss on guitar, Blake on drums, and Yang on keys.

"That looks very different from our band was," said Yang.

Wow, look around at the sight and the sound
Did we take you by surprise?
Bet you can't believe your eyes (oh)

(An egg is shown hatching in a fantasy, and the Holograms appear from it.)

Whoa, well, this is only the beginning
Only the beginning

Now, now's the time when our star's on the climb
Watch us try for the prize
We're already on the rise (the rise, surprise)

(Jem rises up on a rainbow towards a castle in the sky. The Holograms then walk through a gate into the castle.)

"Wow," said Jaune, "And I thought Cinder and her friends sounded good."

Cinder was actually jealous. She hated to admit that this was better than what she sang in her opinion.

Wow, look around at the sight and the sound

Bet you can't believe your eyes (oh)

(Jem appears on a star. The rest of the band then appear on stars, and clash with each other.)

Whoa, well, this is only the beginning

(They were then seen playing a claw machine, with the Holograms on the prize as well.)

Now, now's the time when our star's on the climb
Watch us try for the prize
We're already on the rise (the rise, surprise, oh)

"Listen to us!" said Yang, "We're naturals!"

"I probably would've gone into music if I didn't want to be a Huntress," said Ruby, "I do have the voice for it."

"Really?" asked Weiss doubtfully.

"Yeah, I can show you some time, as a challenge," said Ruby, smirking.

When they finished, the crowd cheered.

"Thank you," said Jem, "I'm Jem, and these are the Holograms!"

The band lifted up their instruments.

"YOU CAN'T PLAY HERE!" yelled Roman, "THIS IS BY INVITATION ONLY!"

"Jeez," said Qrow, "seems your plan fell out."

"Not my fault," said Roman, "Besides, I'm the judge here, and I decide who wins this. And it's not Little Red."

"She invited us!" said Jem, pointing towards the other stage.

She then touched her earring, whispering, "Showtime Synergy."

A hologram of Ruby appeared, and waved at Roman.

"Oh she did, did she!?"

Roman pushed his was through the crowd, getting everyone's attention.

Jem then ran off stage, and made sure no one had followed her.

"Show's over Synergy," said Jem.

With a flash, Jem turned back into Ruby, and ran towards the stage.

"Looking for me?" asked Ruby.

"I won't tolerate this kind of interference!" said Roman.

"And I won't stand for rigged contests," replied Ruby.

"Jeez," said Roman, "Can't catch a break."

"Maybe if you played fair," said Ghira, "You wouldn't be in this situation."

"You think you can run the company better than me?" asked Roman, his voice projected all across the park, "Then I challenge you. In 6 months, I'll make the Misfits more popular than Jem and the Holograms. Then we'll have another battle of the bands. If Jem wins, you get Starlight Music, but if the Misfits win, Starlight Music, is mine."

"I accept that challenge," said Ruby.

"Allow me to sweeten the deal," said a voice.

The two looked to see some smartly dressed men walking towards them.

"Hello, I am Ozpin Sans," said Ozpin, "I'm a film producer. I'll give a movie contract to the winning band, and the winners will also get this magnificent mansion."

"Oh, film producer," said Ozpin, "To be honest, I never really saw myself as one."

"We're gonna win that contest," said Cinder.

"RUBY!" cried Weiss, "THE MISFITS ARE TAKING OUR STUFF!"

"Hey, what's the big idea!?" exclaimed Yang.

"Doing anything to our advantage," said Cinder bluntly.

Just then, a water sprayer appeared, and sprayed Cinder, with Seth saying, "Bad Cinder! Bad!"

"I am not an animal!" said Cinder.

"STOP!" yelled Ruby, as her sisters climbed into the car. They raced all the way to the coast, and Emerald and Neo looked out the back.

"Hey, they want their stuff back!" said Emerald.

"Let 'em have it," said Cinder, as the Misfits threw their stuff at them while driving.

"What the hell!?" exclaimed Tai, "If something happens, I swear I will pop out of my grave, and and haunt you three til the end of time!"

Weiss swerved off the road, and there was a massive drop off.

"WE'RE GONNA HIT THE CLIFF!" yelled Yang.

"HIT THE BRAKES! HIT THE BRAKES!" yelled Blake.

Weiss did, but too late. The Rockin' Roadster was now dangling dangerously over the edge.

"NO!" cried the parents.

"What now!?" asked Weiss.

"Synergy's our only hope!" said Ruby, "Showtime Synergy."

"Hopefully someone will be close by," said Jaune.

Along the road, Jaune was driving his van, when he saw someone waving their arms.

Everyone that knew her was in shock, hearing Yang just confess that she wouldn't take advantage of that situation and make a pun or joke.
