Chapter 4

Greetings readers! I hope that all of you enjoyed reading the previous chapter!

Thunderofdeath97: Percy isn't as strong as all gods. He's as strong as the minor gods in his base form and can temporarily keep up with the stronger Olympians, at least enough to catch them off-guard in his draconian form, but that is only a secret trump card. He may not be stronger than Superman based on pure power or durability but he's not weak by any measure. He is a very different kind of fighter as compared to Supes where he doesn't have the raw brutish strength or durability of Supes but he knows his limitations and finds a way to be extremely dangerous despite that. After all, raw power doesn't always translate to being strong in battles, as seen by Ares. Superman bending the Most around himself is more of a subconscious adaptation at suppressing his presence rather than something he can do naturally. In this story, the Old Gods refers to only the protogenoi I mentioned because I need it to unify both universes. Thank you for your support!

Audrey Lucenio Royo: Definitely, Percy's character itself has so much power potential, I feel like he was nerfed a little in HoO just so that the other demigods could look good as well. But in this story, while I won't make him extremely OP, he'll definitely not be a pushover. And he'll also be a lot more mature, calmer along with being a bit harsher. But that's because he's grown up and is around twenty seven in this fic. Thank you for your continued support!

BRUH3000: Percy is twenty seven years old in this story, not fifteen. And Diana may be may be a century old but it's never really mattered to immortals how old the other person is since their ages are irrelevant. Thank you for your support!

Guest reviewer: Yes, sparing Superman was my way of imparting my own flavour to this AU. I don't want to follow the DCEU completely. I'm taking cues from the Snyder cut but I'm more focused on building a Percy centric narrative. I'm thrilled you enjoy the fight with Doomsday! Percy and Diana's relationship will be complex to say the least but they are the main pairing of this story. And I am happy you enjoyed Percy's sterner, more cutthroat side. That's the best part of writing this crossover! Also, please check out my other latest story, which is called The Tragedy Of Percy Jackson, it deals with Percy as a central antagonist. Thank you for your continued support!

I would like to thank CRUDEN for your continued support!

I would like to thank secularPJ for your support!

Callum Runchman: This is a very different and very dangerous version of Percy. He is completely obsessed with himself so everything he does, he does to protect himself. And he values staying hidden more than anything else. The mother boxes won't activate on their own, yet. But Steppenwolf will definitely come. Thank you for your continued support!

I would like to thank thatonegoat123 for your continued support!

I would like to thank ultima-owner for your continued support!

DARK WRAITH 2001: I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed Percy's interactions with Bruce so much. Yes, apex predator is exactly what he is! Thank you for your continued support!

Hunter19941: It's always fun to write anti-heroes or reluctant heroes, somehow, it's easier to draw an audience in with such characters. Purely good protagonists are great, but they require extensive background to ensure readers don't get bored. Thank you for your continued support!

Kronosbluehairbrush: I am glad to hear such positive feedback about Percy's interactions with Batman! I'm thrilled that you liked the actions scenes, you've been a part of my trilogy as well and I am very happy to have you here! Exactly! The most fascinating thing about having such a grey character for a protagonist is the creative freedom it gives to an author and the way it just draws in an audience! Thank you for your continued support!

I would like to thank Arden2709 for your continued support!

Poseidon knew only his favourite son was flamboyant enough to capture his attention by sacrificing the skull of a giant sea serpent to him. And his son was sacrificing this sea serpent from an island situated in the Ionian Sea. Which Poseidon took as his cue to meet his son.

Since he couldn't actually sense where his son was anymore, ever since Percy had asked for the gods to wipe out his demigod scent, he had to wait for either Percy to directly contact him or by ensuring Poseidon could locate his son by making his own presence known through a sacrifice like this. And so far, Percy had always stuck to the second option.

Sure enough, when Poseidon materialised on the island where the serpent's skull had been sacrificed, he saw his son's super yacht a few miles off the coastline. Poseidon disappeared in a blue mist before rematerializing inside the yacht, in its living room. There, he was treated to the sight of his injured son, which itself was a big surprise.

"You look like you were run over by a tornado." Poseidon stated with a raised eyebrow as he noticed that Percy's body and face were peppered with wounds that were still healing.

"You could say that." Percy grumbled as he offered Poseidon a glass of Boreas' finest Nectar.

"Khione?" Poseidon asked as he took the glass, which he knew Boreas didn't part with eagerly.

"Khione. Not only this, I also managed to convince her to augment my cryokinesis." Percy replied with a roguish smile.

"Ever the charmer, aren't you? I bet that augmentation helped you in your recent skirmish. But seriously kid, if a fight with a sea serpent took this much out of you, you've seriously lost your touch. Hedonism is nice until it gets you killed. And I would rather not see you killed because you were too busy bedding goddesses." Poseidon dryly stated as he took a sip.

"Your concern touches me, dad. But relax, I haven't slacked off one bit. I killed that sea serpent a few weeks ago. It had been terrorizing a few mermen villages in the North Atlantic, so I killed it in your disguise. That must surely have given you good publicity. And to alleviate your concern, my injuries are not from that." Percy replied with an amused smile.

"Well the publicity definitely helps keep the mermen happy. They think I project physical forms and do things like this in their best interests. But coming to more important points, if these injuries weren't from your fight with a sea serpent, how did you get them? Did some god pick a fight with you?" Poseidon asked with some concern shining in his eyes.

"No. I'm sure the gods are aware of the Kryptonian abomination that rampaged through Metropolis before ultimately being killed by Superman and an exiled Amazon who is partially immortal and a daughter of Zeus?" Percy asked and continued when Poseidon tensely nodded.

"Well, that wasn't entirely true. Sure, the two of them fought as well. But I was also involved in that fight. And let me tell you, that abomination was not messing around. We ultimately managed to bring it down thanks to me driving a spear of Kryptonite into its heart but the humanoid Kryptonian – Superman, almost died driving it in and killing it." Percy casually stated and Poseidon nearly spat out his Nectar.

"What?! You were involved in the fighting with that abomination?" Poseidon asked, completely shocked.

He knew Percy would never get into a fight unless he knew he was either going to win handily or was just distracting the opponent so that he would successfully escape. In general, Percy tended to avoid dangerous confrontations altogether. In that way, his son's wholehearted acceptation of amoral hedonism had certainly stopped Poseidon from worrying much. But this was still a surprise.

"Unfortunately, yes. And man did I not want to be in it. Believe me, I tried my best not to. Even almost fled at one point. But you should have seen how terrifying this thing's rate of growth was. It went from being on the back foot against me and the blue boy scout to managing to almost gain the upper hand on the two of us, as well as that immortal daughter of Zeus, who mind you, managed to defeat Ares, a century ago. Granted that Ares is easy to defeat because he lacks any sort of thinking capacity, it still is a mighty impressive feat. And this happened in less than half an hour. There was no way telling how strong this thing would have gotten if left rampaging." Percy responded as he drank a sip of Nectar.

"That Kryptonian is very strong. He can even give some of the weaker younger Olympians a run for their money. And I know first-hand how strong you are. If this abomination had a rate of growth as frightening as you claim, it would have found a way to get stronger than the Olympians by the time they got involved. You just prevented a more mobile Typhon from destroying Olympus." Poseidon grimly concluded.

"It was definitely not fun. What is it with Kryptonians and them being so absurdly powerful on Earth? They also seem to have unbelievable tech. I managed to find out that they were an extremely successful species for a hundred thousand years. I'm surprised they never reached Earth before this." Percy mused.

"Who said they never reached Earth before?" Poseidon asked with a twinkle in his eyes and it was Percy's turn to be shocked.

"What?!" Percy stated in disbelief, with him almost dropping the glass in his hand.

"The Kryptonians were extremely successful colonizers, kid. They reached hundreds of different star systems. Do you really think they didn't find Earth? No. They found Earth as well. And they would have made it one of their colonies if it hadn't been for all their expeditions being wiped out by the Titans. Kronos, Atlas and Hyperion themselves led the charge. Wave after wave of Kryptonian fleet was destroyed by the Titans before they finally took a hint. Thankfully, the confrontation took place in space before the Kryptonians were able to absorb enough energy from the yellow sun to put up a serious challenge and they didn't have Earth's weaker gravitational field to help them either. But nevertheless, it took the Titans destroying seven entire fleets for the Kryptonians to realise that Earth was taken and they left it alone." Poseidon revealed and Percy couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"When was this?" Percy asked in a slight shock.

"I can't say for certain. As you know, the rest of my brethren are quite paranoid about humanity finding out that we aren't really gods and are just another race of beings. I only know this because of my mother Rhea." Poseidon casually answered.

"The universe is very vast, father. I am not so naïve as to believe that humans and gods are the only sentient species out there now. The Kryptonians may be dead now, all except for one. But there must be others out there as well. The Old Gods must have created other people as well. And the Kryptonians couldn't have colonized everybody." Percy stated with certainty oozing in his voice.

"Of course not, son. There are many other races out there. But very few of them have the same power as the Olympians so our very presence on Earth wards away that of almost every other race of beings. You see, we are one of the few capable of tapping into higher dimensions, giving us what seem like metaphysical powers. So after the debacle of the Kryptonians, the Titans decided to move to a different dimension - Othrys, giving them extra security and a place to preemptively attack anyone who tried to invade Earth. And we continued on with that in Olympus." Poseidon calmly explained.

"That's good to hear. The Olympians except you are all deadbeats. But at least their presence prevents others from destroying Earth. So that lets me live the rest of eternity in peace." Percy stated with lax smile as he leaned back before pouring himself and his father another glass.

"Unless those damned Apokoliptians come again." Poseidon grumbled under his breath.

"What?" Percy asked, having not heard what Poseidon had just said.

"There will always be threats out there, kid. But you don't need to worry about them. The Olympians will sire other pawns to do their bidding, as they always have." Poseidon stated with a distasteful scowl.

"Well, not all of them can be as awesome as you, can they?" Percy stated with a wide smile which Poseidon couldn't help but return.

"Truer words have never been spoken. Now tell me, what have you been up to these past few months? And did you use your new draconian form in the fight against that abomination?" Poseidon replied with a wide grin and the two of them engaged in a conversation that went on for hours. Life was back to normal for Percy.

Bruce was in the fields belonging to the Kent household, watching the sky sombrely. Clark had regained consciousness but as had been predicted by Percy Jackson, he had been severely weakened. While he had gotten better, it looked like he was still months away from recovering even to an extent where he could move around like a normal human.

"Mortals assume that he is dead and are conducting all that fanfare just to bury an empty box. Now, they mourn him so deeply. Yet, just a few days ago, I remember so many of them throwing baseless accusations on him." Diana stated as she stood next to Bruce.

"That is unfortunately how the minds of men work. We are weak. We are fickle. And we are so mired in our own fears that we are unable to see what is in front of us unless it is gone. Such is our nature. But I believe that there is still good within us." Bruce replied with a weary sigh.

"Superman was a beacon of hope. Not because of all his powers. But because he was more human than all of us. And he always stood for doing the right thing. He was not the hero we deserved, but he was the one we needed. And now, he may never put on the red cape again." Bruce stated, with guilt shining through his voice. Diana put a comforting hand on his shoulder, knowing what he was going through. Bruce blamed himself for what had happened.

"I saw Luthor's files. There were two other, known, metahumans, we need to find them." Bruce stated with a determined glint in his eyes.

"You think there's a threat coming?" Diana asked.

"I know there's a threat coming. The Kryptonian ship went haywire with radio transmissions after Clark's supposed death. I think Luthor had programmed it to send out a signal to someone out there once Superman died. Even worse, he may have actually contacted and spoken to someone." Bruce revealed.

"That is indeed troubling news. I will reach out to a few of my remaining contacts in the Divine World and see if they know something." Diana stated with a faraway look in her eyes.

"Can you also find out more information about Percy Jackson?" Bruce asked, in a quieter tone.

"I can. He is far too powerful for people in the Divine World to not know about him. But I would be very careful if I were you, Bruce. That man, he was not joking when he said he will kill you if you try to dig deep into his history. He is truly like a storm. You think you are safe. But all you have been in, is in the calm eye of a storm. And even that is only because he lets you in there. The moment he steps back, the arms of the hurricane will tear you to shreds. When you tried to interrogate him, I felt a spike of killing intent from him that I have never felt from someone who was not an enemy. So, you focus on finding the other two. Let me deal with him." Diana warned.

Percy Jackson was indeed a mysterious character. An immortal son of Poseidon, who somehow was a demigod but had godlike powers and bled Ichor. A man whose powerful presence the entirety of a city should have felt and yet, she sensed nothing special from him. Unlike her presence, which she had learnt to suppress heavily and hide using the Mist, he seemed to have the presence of that of a mere mortal, even while fighting, it did not flare out.

His moral compass was just as confusing because he was the reason Clark was still alive and he had been the reason they had managed to kill Doomsday. Yet, his actions didn't seem to be powered by noble intentions. And the raw killing intent radiating off of him when pushed confirmed to Diana that this was a man who was willing to do anything. Percy Jackson was an enigma. And she intended to dig deeper into his background.

Lex Luthor had been expecting Bruce Wayne. Rather he had been expecting Batman. And the confrontation with the Bat Vigilante had gone exactly as Lex had wanted. He knew the man didn't have what it took to kill. He never did. That's what made him so weak. And that was exactly why he would roll all over Earth and raze everything to the ground.

Lex was brought out of his thoughts, violently, when someone grabbed his bald head and slammed it against the bars of his cell. He screamed in pain and fell to his knees, holding his head as he felt the blood ooze from it. His vision turned hazy but he turned and managed to make out that a green eyed man was standing in front of him.

"Hello, Lex. I'm Percy Jackson. And I am the man who helped Clark kill that abomination you created. Now, I'll give you two options. You can either tell me who you contacted after supes died and I will give you a clean, painless death. Or, you can make this difficult for yourself and make me force the information out of you. Either way, you're going to die and I am going to get what I want. But I assure you, the way we get there, will be radically different." Percy coldly stated as he crouched down. He found no reason to reveal the fact that Clark Kent was actually alive to Luthor. If nothing else, the man deserved a break from the tumultuous life of a hero so that he could at least recover in peace.

"You're a metahuman. I thought I had found all of them." Luthor rasped out.

"Yes, I am what you apes call a metahuman. And please, Lex, don't flatter yourself. You're a resourceful little prick who can be a real pain in the ass but that's all you are. You don't have what it takes to even stand on the same footing as beings such as myself, forget finding out about us. You're nothing but a weak, pathetic human with daddy issues. So what if your father abused you as a child? Who gave you the right to unleash hell on this world?" Percy angrily retorted as he brought down his foot on Luthor's spine and crushed it, causing Luthor to let out a gut-wrenching scream of pain. Percy then reached out and grabbed Luthor's collar, before hoisting him up.

"Speak up, human. I don't have all day. Who did you contact?" Percy asked with his lips pressed into a thin line.

"And you are supposed to be a hero? One of Earth's mighty-" Luthor started with a taunting smile but was cut off when Percy slammed a fist into Luthor's gut hard enough to make him cough out blood.

"I'm not a hero, Luthor. Don't make that mistake. A hero wouldn't be willing to beat you until all your organs liquefy. I however, can and will do exactly that if you don't tell me what I want." Percy coolly stated.

"Your machoism is just a front. What you are really afraid of, is the threat that is coming. Demons don't come from the ground below, Mr Jackson. They come from the skies above. And once he gets here, your façade of peace will end. " Luthor stated in a hoarse voice as he laughed maniacally.

"I'm one inch away from tearing off your limbs, Luthor. Your bravado will last only as long as I am patient. The moment I put your body through a fate worse than even a meat grinder, you will spill all the beans and beg me to kill you." Percy replied with a dark look on his face.

"The destroyer of worlds is coming, Mr Jackson. Try all you want, you cannot hide. You cannot stop him. He will bring Apokolips to the Earth." Luthor screeched, with even more maniacal laughter following.

"Who are you talking about, Luthor?" Percy forcefully asked as he slammed his fist into Luthor's gut once again.

"The….bell….has….been….rung." Luthor whispered in a raspy voice and was rewarded with a brutal chop to his liver.

"Who? Heard? It?" Percy growled as he landed a punch for every word.

"Apokolips has." Luthor whispered with a bloodied smile but Percy didn't understand what Luthor was saying and assumed the man was toying with him. He usually had a lot of patience but given how much problems this man had already caused, he lost his temper for a brief moment.

"That's it. You have worn down my patience." Percy angrily stated before snapping Luthor's neck in one quick, brutal motion. And almost instantly, he regretted it.

"Damnit. I shouldn't have done that." Percy stated with an annoyed groan.

He wasn't concerned with the ethics of his actions, not really. He was an amoral hedonist and he proudly embraced that side of himself. But, he'd just let his emotions get the better of him and had let his anger take control of him. And that had cost him a valuable source of information.

He threw away Luthor's limp body. He guessed he would have to do this the hard way now. But before that, he had to go away and meditate. He would never be truly at peace if he let his negative emotions control him. Calming himself down with a deep breath, Percy disappeared in a blue mist.

Percy was in the Mariana trench. This was deepest spot in the ocean and it was the place where he could feel his powers most acutely. His senses were at their peak and his endurance was practically limitless here.

Naturally, his emotions were also at their peak in here. It was so easy for the sea around him to be influenced by his emotions in this place. Even the smallest streaks of emotion, negative or positive, would have an instantaneous effect on the sea around. So, he had taken to meditating in here, using all his concentration to keep the water around him perfectly still, reflecting the state of his mind.

From the outside, what he was doing looked like nothing more than wasting away time, but those who were members of the House of Poseidon knew better. The sea was a very helpful and responsive ally. Far more than the sky or the shadows.

That was why children of the sea could use the sea for so many things. They could use the sea offensively and for travel of course, but so could children of the sky and the Underworld with their elements. What made the sea special was that it was sentient. It wasn't just something that took orders from its wielders.

It actively sent back emotions and feedback from the same channel. And of course, the greatest impact of that was visible in the turbulent nature of the members of the House of Poseidon. It was also what had given them their fatal flaw of loyalty. The sea was unquestionably loyal to those who dwelled in it and it fiercely embedded that knowledge to its wielders and recipients. But with great power came great shatter points.

Percy had first hand experience in seeing just how dangerous his fatal flaw really was. He was naturally prone to making excessive attachments and had done so freely during the Second Titanomachy and the Second Giganotomachy, getting attached to anyone and everyone around him.

He had once foolishly believed that his attachments gave him a reason to fight. But it was only after he survived Tartarus and fought in the final battle against Gaia that he realised how dangerous his fatal flaw really was. Because, almost all his excessive attachments until then had ended in exactly the same two ways, either in him almost dying for the sake of someone else, or the other person dying and leaving Percy to wallow under a mountain of guilt.

It was at that point, Percy had realised, that allowing his emotional intuition and blind personal loyalty to guide his actions had not only been foolish and dangerous to himself, it had also limited him from reaching his full potential.

He had always drawn on his powers using his emotions, after all, that was the fastest and easiest way to reach into the powers of the sea. And it was an approach that even his father followed. In fact, that's how the entire House of Poseidon drew power from the sea, by relying on raw emotion. It didn't matter whether it was negative or positive, ultimately it was emotion that guided their utilization of any of their powers.

It was a brutish method but it was an effective one. And it worked because his father was arguably the strongest god and he didn't need to delve into deep understanding of his domains to become stronger. That naturally extended to the other members of the House of Poseidon – both mortal, as well as immortal.

They were naturally so powerful that using this simple yet brutish method of calling powers from the sea using their emotions had always been effective. And they had done it so long that eventually, everyone believed that the sea would only respond to emotions. But if nothing else, Percy's hellish experience in Tartarus had enlightened him to the vices of falling victim to his inner turmoil.

After he had snapped and almost killed Akhlys, using her own poison, he had realised just how dangerous it was to use inner turmoil as a way to draw power. It was an unsustainable, gut-wrenching and nightmarish road that ultimately resulted in mental collapse or a turn to psychopathy for anyone who didn't have the mental fortitude of a god.

After all, that's what the House of Poseidon had always been known for. For their constant inner turmoil. It seemed like it was an inalienable part of them. The wiser ones like his father and stepmother had wearily accepted that inner turmoil would always exist and tried their best to reign it in. But they failed, regularly, given how his father's ever existent inner turmoil usually got out of hand and resulted in hurricanes battering the world. But still, they managed to hold themselves together most of the time.

The younger, more impatient ones like Kymopoleia, and to an extent, even Triton, along with all the demigod children of Poseidon until him had embraced that inner turmoil. Thinking that only darker, more violent emotions could make them stronger. And they were not entirely wrong.

The sea always responded strongly to any emotions. But being the ultimate reflector, how it responded to them depended on what emotion was used to call upon it. Love was just as powerful an emotion to draw upon as hate. But the response of the sea in either case was radically different.

When positive emotions were used to call it, it responded with an intent to protect. But when negative emotions were used to call it, it responded with an intent to destroy. But Percy had realised it was either impossible or very damaging in the long run to permanently rely either side of the spectrum.

Using positive emotions to effectively call the sea required a continuous state of happiness and contentment. And while that was the ideal case, with almost no mental side effects whatsoever, it was impossible to maintain that state forever. Using only negative emotions, was much, much easier, but it slowly consumed the wielders heart with darkness. Trying to use both resulted in the inner turmoil the House of Poseidon was infamous for.

Which is why, Percy had spent years devising a different approach. And it had all started with leaving his old life behind. He had loved Annabeth, he truly had. But what Tartarus had made him realise was that he would never be happy until he vanquished the inner turmoil within himself. And the only way he knew how to do that was by balancing himself.

This is where he had turned to, spending an entire year in the trench after he had been made partially immortal, first by the gods and then by his actions of indirectly consuming a Golden Apple of Immortality. He knew that if he was to enjoy the rest of eternity, he had to find a way to achieve inner peace.

The only way to achieve inner peace was to find a way to draw powers from the sea in a logical way. Because, the sea was in a symbiotic relationship with them. It gave them power over it, to wield it as they saw fit. But in exchange, it commanded great control over them. Everyone thought only of turbulence and unpredictability when they thought of the sea and that thought those were the only things imparted by it to its wielders. But they couldn't be more wrong.

The sea could be turbulent, yes. But it could also be calm and harmonious. Glistening with serenity and clarity. That was a nature of the sea that people often forgot about. But it was a nature that existed. And one that was attainable by the children of the sea. And he had been the first person to attain it.

It had been extremely difficult to achieve this state. When he had decided that he would not use his emotions, positive or negative, to draw upon his powers, and rather, clear his mind and draw upon his powers using rational, formulated thoughts, as if he was conversing with the sea, he had failed miserably at it for over half a year.

Even in the Mariana trench, where his power was at its peak, and even after his dual immortalizations, he had been unable to even cause a ripple. He had lost his temper dozens of times and had been infuriated when the sea responded instantly to those emotions but he had always coaxed himself to not stray from his approach. He had told himself that he had an eternity ahead of him and that had been a good way of teaching himself patience.

Then, after six months, it had finally happened, for the first time, the sea had responded to his thoughts and not actions. It had been only a small ripple. But it had been the breakthrough he had been looking for. And the progress after that had truly been astounding.

In the next six months, Percy had honed his connection to the sea to the point where he could do everything he could before, without having to draw on his emotions. That did wonders not only for his endurance, it also did wonders for his state of mind.

Since the sea only amplified and reflected what was sent to it by him, as a consequence of him not drawing on his emotions to utilize his powers, and clearing his mind, the sea had sent back harmony and inner peace to him. And just like that, Percy's went from an angsty, reckless man filled with turmoil to a calm, collected one on the path to inner peace. But Percy had not stopped there.

With his connection to the sea now having ascended, he had then gone to the Sahara, a place where he was at his weakest. And he spent another year there, it had been hellish experience there as well. But it was where his power, senses and connection to the sea had truly bloomed.

He had been forced to tap into a myriad of powers, which along with his clear mind had allowed him to expand the scope and impact of his powers exponentially. It was where he had first drawn on cryokinesis to keep himself cool in the blistering heat. It was where he had learnt to condense even the smallest amounts of water over hundreds of square kilometres vapour into drinkable water, for basic sustenance.

It was where he had learnt to manipulate the weather, call the sea to himself from thousands of kilometres away and build storm clouds inside his own body to keep himself hydrated, a feat that should have been impossible and would have been impossible if it hadn't been for his special connection to the sea. And it was through continuous refinement of that technique that he had learnt to first redirect and then shoot out lightning.

After that enlightening experience changed his connection to the sea forever, and had freed him of the inner turmoil that had plagued every inch of his being for as long as he could remember, Percy had been finally free. And from then, he had started living the life that he wanted. Free of attachment, anger and remorse. It had been the perfect life. But of course, his old habits still reared their heads occasionally.

Just because he had learnt to direct his power using his thoughts didn't mean that he had unlearnt how to use them using his emotions. He had subconsciously tapped into his powers through the latter many times. But he didn't see those as failures. Those were lessons. Opportunities to harmonize his inner self even further. And this was one of those opportunities.

He had snapped against Luthor, he had let his fear turn into anger and had let it get the better of him. It seemed he still had quite a way to go before he achieved perfect harmony. But he had to wipe out all unnecessary emotions from his state of being and achieve perfect harmony.

He didn't know if it was ever possible but he cleared his mind of those doubts now, all he had to focus on now was harmonizing himself and his connection to the sea. And he would eventually get to where he wanted to be.

Hey guys! So this chapter, I give a bit more depth into Percy's character and also his powers, as I had promised. I know it's not a full explanation but that will come soon too. First, I wanted to address how he had gotten such unique powers for a son of Poseidon. I always wanted to show that Poseidon is awesome even in this universe. I can't help it, I really cannot write that character in a bad way. And of course, the subtle drops about Apokolips gives you all a hint of what is to come :)

Read and review, I hope that all of you enjoyed reading this chapter! Have a wonderful day!
