Alright time for the next chapter, hope you guys enjoy.

Broken Angel: Rising Demon

Chapter 34: What if it all was worse?

-London, England-

Riley moved quickly through the streets, keeping watch of the world around her as she went. She took in the various sights, taking note of everything that stood out, and it painted a rather bleak picture of the world she had found herself in.

The city was dark, and gray. Heavy clouds hung in the sky. There was very little chatter on the streets, and even less laughter. People kept their heads down and went about their business. Heavily armed and armored patrols were everywhere.

On a number of occasions Riley passed by vehicle and personal checkpoints where guards would conduct searches for everyone passing through. Riley made her way through the area, keeping away from the guards and the various checkpoints.

On the rooftops she spotted the occasional shinobi trained watcher, keeping an eye on the populace. These figures were draped in black cloaks with a deep red band running down the side of them. They wore hoods, and dark masks, with glowing red eyes, mimicking the yellow eyes of the soldiers down below.

These watchers gave off a similar aura as the soldiers, eking out this dark, almost polluted aura of dread from their bodies.

The world itself just seemed wrong. Darkness seemed to permeate all things. There didn't seem to be any light, that Riley could detect, it was like an aura of misery.

The only thing she could compare it to were movies she saw that featured World War One, where the atmosphere was heavy with dread, sorrow, and pain.

London itself, had been turned into a police state, and worryingly, it seemed like Riley had a hand in it.

Every so often, Riley spotted iconography that was familiar to her. The soldiers had the symbol of the Sharingan, emblazoned on their helmets. On large banners, of red and black, was a ripple pattern symbol, that looked to be imitating the Rinnegan. There was kanji written in bold on posters, and banners.

Surveillance cameras were everywhere, on almost every street corner Riley spotted them.

The guards were on alert, marching through the streets, occasionally stopping anyone who looked suspicious and pulling them aside for questioning and a pat-down. And if that person was really unlucky than they were pulled aside for a cavity search.

Riley spotted this as least once, as she made her way through the streets, a man in a back alley, surrounded by three other men as they made him strip naked to search every possible hiding spot for whatever contraband they were looking for.

Riley could only imagine the abuses of power that were a daily occurrence for the people of this city.

Occasionally armored apcs would drive by, showing that this went far beyond just a heightened police presence, this was full blown martial law.

Eventually Riley came into sight of Buckingham Palace, or at least where it should have been. The building that had once stood as the heart of the city, and a seat of power for the royal family, was gone. In it's place was a walled structure that looked almost like a prison.

On it's walls, soldiers patrolled, and on it's roof Riley could spot several heavily armed attack helicopters. Anti-air defense weapons were visible at a glance, also dotting the roof, keeping it safe from aerial attacks.

Around the outside of the facility were dozens of guard positions, most of them looked like small bunkers make of concrete and steel, with heavy machine-gun emplacements to cover all approaches to the building.

Darkness radiated from the building like a fog. From within, Riley could sense pain and suffering, the kind that would curdle the blood of any rational human being.

Riley chose to keep her distance from the fortress, intent on making her way to Daigon Alley. As she moved through the streets she began hearing a voice over loud speaker and decided to check our it's source.

She arrived at Trafalgar Square to find a crowd had gathered. Nearly a thousands citizens gathered before a line of soldiers. Beyond the soldiers was an elevated stage, and upon it was a foreboding sight.

Gallows ran across the stage, with hanging ropes, tied in noose knots.

Behind the stage were a number of armored apcs and more soldiers.

Upon the stage was a man, speaking through a megaphone to the crowd.

"You all know why this must be done. Dissidence who wish to see our way of life ruined, must be punished. These people would seek to upend our harmony, and destroy all that we've built. Today we will see their anarchy, put to rest!" The man declared, earning a few affirmations from the crowd, but most were silent.

"Executions…" Riley realized.

"Hasn't it been over a century since England had public executions?" Kurama inquired.

"Yeah, more than that actually. And from the number of nooses they've got up there, I'm willing to bet they're planning on more than one or two." Riley responded, as she watched the events unfold.

Out from the back of one of the apcs a troop of a dozen prisoners, was marched out. Seven men, five women, of varying ages, and ethnicity. Each and every one of them, looked like absolute crap.

Dressed in little more than rags, some of them were basically naked. They'd been beaten severely, some of them looked dazed. Each one winced at the light of the outdoors, struggling to turn away from the brightness, despite the fact that there was heavy cloud cover in the sky, and it was relatively dark.

Some were shaking, some were crying. Swollen blotches from beatings covered their bodies.

No gasps rose up from the crowd, no shock or surprise. The civilians on the street who watched the proceedings had obviously seen this plenty of times before.

As the twelve were led up onto the stage and placed before their own hangman's noose, another figure exited one of the armored personnel carriers. This figure was dressed differently from most others, his clothing of a more traditional Asian aesthetic. He was old, and walked with a cane. One of his arms was tucked into his robes, and his head was heavily bandaged.

Riley recognized this man instantly, and felt her bloodlust shoot through the roof.

"Danzo!" Riley growled internally as she watched the man stroll up onto the stage.

He stood before the crowd and began to address them.

"Behold the corruption of our great society. Behold the filth that gnaws on the fabric of all our great works. These rebels were caught in the midst of preparing for another attack on our way of life. They were stopped by the diligence, and mindfulness of our people. Brave, and bold men and women, like you. It was by their hand, these rebels were stopped in their track. Now, here today, we will see another blow struck against the rebels, and send a message, that their vile and despicable acts, will not be tolerated!" Danzo declared, earning several cheers from the more militant supporters in the crowd. Most though, were silent.

"You may begin." Danzo instructed the executioner, who nodded and began to walk down the line, place the noose around the neck of each prisoner in turn.

Riley had difficulties tearing her eyes off of Danzo, but for the briefest of moments, she glanced at the prisoners once more, this time her eyes passing over their faces. She took in their fear, their terror, their broken states.

Each one had suffered at the hands of their captors, and would now be hung by the neck until they died. Even if everything Danzo said was true, and these were rebels, they didn't deserve the suffering that they had endured before arriving here.

As Riley's gaze passed over a woman's face, she halted. Something about the woman caught her eye. Her face was heavily swollen from an otherworldly beating. Her cheeks were puffy, one of her eyes was almost completely swollen shut, the other though, was what caught Riley's gaze.

An icy blue eye, that Riley was intimately familiar with.

Riley heard Kurama let out a snarl as he too recognized the woman.

"Daph!" Riley's eyes went wide as she recognized her wife.

She was heavily beaten, almost unrecognizable. Little more than a cloth sack covered her, and it did little to hide her modesty. One of her breasts was visible, and the sack barely passed the beginnings of her thighs. It was as demeaning an outfit as one could come up with, a literal step above just stripping her naked.

It seems even in death, they intended to humiliate and degrade their victims.

As the final noose was placed, the executioner began walking towards a lever that would drop the prisoners and hang them all at once.

Riley was quick to move, drawing several shuriken as she did.

She began rapidly advancing through the crowd, phasing through anyone who got in her way.

Her movement didn't go unnoticed as civilians let out shouts of surprise, and watchers on the rooftops above took note of her.

As the executioner reached the lever, Riley made her move.

She sent the shuriken flying through the air, straight at Danzo. The watchers above, were quick to intercept them, sending their own blades shooting down to intercept hers, and keep Danzo safe.

While they focused on that, Riley rushed forward, passing harmlessly through civilians and guards alike, making it to the stage in an instant.

She was immediately behind the executioner, and drove her fist into his back.

The man folded with a scream, his spine snapping in half as he crumbled to the ground.

Riley then turned and unleashed a wandless cutting charm that cut the ropes holding each of the prisoners.

As the prisoners let out cries of surprise and fear, the soldiers on the ground turned and fired at Riley. She held up her hand, forming a shield of magic, that turned their bullets into air as they passed through it.

A line of nearly twenty soldiers stood firing at her as more rushed the stage. With a single lash of one of her tails, all twenty lost their heads.

More soldiers came rushing onto the stage, as well as several watchers, who Riley now realized weren't just shinobi trained but actual shinobi, possibly even Danzo's Root Anbu.

Five watchers quickly surrounded her, and Riley immediately laid into them.

In a flurry of taijutsu, she hammered them to pieces, hitting them with such force that each blow ripped chunks off of their bodies, filling the air with a red mist, and dropping all five in an instant.

Once the last one was finished, she turned her gaze to several of the incoming soldiers, who were firing their rifles at her. She silenced them with a number of reducto spells which blasted holes clean through them.

By now the crowd was in a panic, people running for safety. Some of the civilians had even rushed the stage and were pulling some of the prisoners off of it, and helping them get to safety.

Other civilians were actively attacking the soldiers. Groups of men grabbing them and dragging them to the ground and beating them to death with whatever they could.

It seems not everyone had become complacent about the horrors going on around them. Some were willing to fight back.

Riley turned her gaze towards Danzo, finding the man surrounded by a squad of watchers. His gaze was locked firmly on her. He had been unable to see her face during the fight, but now that they were staring at one another, he could clearly see who she was beneath her hood.

"You! I don't understand…" Danzo began as surprise flashed in his eye.

Some of his watchers recognized her as well, and dropped to a knee.

Riley let out a snarl and advanced on them, drawing her sword as she did.

"Wait, my lady! If we've done something to displease you…" One of the watchers began, but he was silenced when Riley held up her hand and used Banshō Ten'in to pull him towards her. He was pulled right onto her sword, and almost as casually, he was tossed aside.

The remaining four watchers shot to their feet, realizing that they were in trouble.

The four jumped into the air, trying to escape, leaving Danzo to his fate.

Riley didn't allow them to escape. From her shadow, four Darkness tentacles erupted, lancing through the air, and spearing through them, as they tried to escape.

Just as quickly as they had manifested, the tentacles shot back into her shadow.

Heavy machine-gun fire could now be heard as the turrets on the apcs turned towards the crowd and began firing indiscriminately.

Riley made a handsign and summoned a handful of Shadow Clones. Each clone leaped into the air, targeting one of the apcs, with an Odama Rasengan.

The armored vehicles caved in under the force of the attacks. Most of them quite literally imploding from the power behind Riley's strikes.

As this happened, Riley's gaze remained firmly on Danzo.

"Why are you doing this?" Danzo demanded.

"Let's clear something up shall we… I'm not who you think I am. I'm far fucking worse!" Riley snarled in response, and shot at him.

By now Danzo had unlocked the sealing mechanism around his arm, unveiling the monstrous prosthetic that contained a number of Sharingan embedded within it.

Riley had known it was coming, though she was surprised to see that there were several extra Sharingan, that hadn't been present on the last two Danzos she'd killed.

The number used to be ten, but now looked to be sixteen.

Regardless of how many eyes he had, she knew Danzo's game plan. Whether she killed him eleven, or seventeen times, it didn't matter, she was still going to lay into him with the same level of fury,

"Why are you interceding during these executions? What is the reason for this?" Danzo questioned as he drew a kunai and breathed wind chakra onto it.

"I'm not here to talk to you, bastard! Now just take a deep breath, close you eyes, and envision all you dreams burning to ash, while I cut you down." Riley responded as she vanished in a burst of speed.

Danzo leaped into the air, attempting to avoid the attack that was coming.

He didn't make it far as Riley appeared above him, delivering a downward slash that sliced Danzo in two from shoulder to hip.

Just as with every time before, Danzo activated Izanagi, and undid the damage, appearing not far away. He brought his hands together and began preparing a wind style technique to launch at her.

Riley's gaze snapped towards him before he could finish the jutsu, and she unleashed Amaterasu upon him.

Danzo let out a scream of pain as he was consumed by the black flames.

Moments later he reappeared, his breathing rapid, and a horrifying realization settling in for him.

He was in the midst of realizing that Riley fully intended on killing him, and understood all of his tricks, when he was suddenly struck in the side of the with a kick from one of Riley's Limbo Clones.

The kick caused his head to explode.

Moments later he faded away, reappearing nearby.

Riley could feel panic begin to emanate from the man in waves.

He was trying to think of a plan when Riley suddenly appeared in front of him, her face mere inches from his. She met his gaze for a moment and his eyes widened in surprise and disbelief. Before he could react she threw her head forward, slamming her skull into his, breaking his neck.

Just like before, his body faded away.

He reappeared once again and turned his gaze towards her.

"Your eyes… they're… different…" Danzo stated, fear touching at his voice.

"You didn't notice my eyes before? Ah… I see… you actually do remember the first rule of fighting a Sharingan wielder." Riley responded, a cruel smile spreading across her face.

"You said… you weren't the person I thought you were. If you're not her, then who are you?" Danzo questioned her, attempting to use the moment of conversation to devise a battle strategy.

"Come now, Danzo… stalling for time?" Riley responded, malice shining in her eyes.

Danzo took in a breath, his eyes narrowing, when suddenly, out of his own shadow, a darkness serpent erupted. The head of the serpent shot into his back, sinking it's teeth deep into his heart.

Danzo let out a cry of pain, and quickly faded away.

Riley turned her head towards the new location where Danzo appeared, the man already in the midst of making handsigns in preparation for some jutsu.

Riley stared at him for a moment as she devised a plan to end this now.

"Going to use that jutsu eh?" Kurama noted as the plan formed in her mind.

"That's what it was made for." Riley responded, as she released her Killing Intent. Danzo froze for an instant, his eyes widening in disbelief.

It took him a moment to shake off his fear, and make the last handsign.

"Wind Style: Vacuum Sphere!" Danzo thought to himself, releasing a torrent of wind blasts that shot towards Riley.

As Riley leaped away to avoid the attack, Danzo sped through more handsigns, creating two Shadow Clones, which he sent racing towards Riley, while he moved to make a break for it, and try to escape.

Danzo leaped off the stage, and onto the ground, passing by injured and dead people strewn about everywhere. He felt both of his clones pop as Riley destroyed them.

He kept his focus on the crowds of people still nearby. If he could make it into the crowd, he could use them as shields to slip away.

"What's this Danzo? Running away?" Riley inquired, appearing in front of him in a burst of speed.

He brought up his arms to shield himself as Riley shoved him hard back towards the stage, causing him to slam into it.

The stage buckled under his weight, wood and metal breaking to pieces with ease.

"Damn!" Danzo growled internally.

He pulled himself out of the wreckage, feeling a sharp pain in his side as he did.

He glanced down and spotted a large wooden splinter sticking out of his stomach.

He silently cursed once more and raised his gaze to Riley who was stalking towards him, murder in her eyes.

"You don't get it, do you Danzo? You're trying to beat a true master of the Sharingan's powers, by using the Sharingan. You. A crooked old codger who's a world away from the cesspool he calls home. A man who spent his life, hiding in the shadows of his best friend. The Second Hokage had you pegged from the very beginning. You're nothing more than a coward." Riley chastised him as she slowly closed the distance between the two.

"You think you know me? You wear the face of our Ladyship, but you are nothing but a fake." Danzo snarled in reply.

Riley blinked at him several times as she took in his words.

She then let out a snort of amusement and shot forward.

Danzo tried to move out of the of the way, but he wasn't fast enough as Riley caught him. She grabbed hold of the wooden splinter in his side and ripped it free, than with lightning fast speed, she drove it into his skull.

Once more, Izanagi was used, Danzo fading away and reappearing nearby.

Riley stared at him, her gaze hard and full of malice. Suddenly, she released her Killing Intent, causing Danzo to seize in fright.

He fought through it, shaking off his fear and creating a Shadow Clone. He sent the clone racing towards Riley, while he withdrew several kunai that had flash bombs attached to them.

Riley quickly engaged the close, cutting it down in an instant, and when she turned her gaze back to Danzo, he had thrown the kunai at her.

Three blinding white explosion lit the air between the two as Danzo jumped for the rooftops surrounding the square.

"Come on Danzo. Running? Is that all you're good for?" He heard Riley chastise him, as she appeared in front of him, delivering a bone-crushing kick that sent him sailing back into the ground where he skidded into the stage, causing it to buckle beneath him.

Danzo let out a growl, and quickly tried to remove himself from the wreckage of the stage.

"That's twice in a row! Is she just toying with me?" Danzo questioned himself.

Suddenly a sharp pain shot through his body and he lowered his gaze to find a piece of wood lodged into his stomach.

"Wh-What?" Danzo wondered, confused.

"You play this game, as if you understand it. You think it's possible to beat someone like me, a true master of the Sharingan's powers. You think you've accomplished something with that Frankenstein's monstrosity you've got stuck to your body there. All you're doing to delaying the inevitable. A weak little coward like you could never hope to best me." Riley berated him, as she stalked towards him with murder in her eyes.

"You think you're so clever… but I see through your tricks. You're trying to fool me with an illusion, but you've made it too obvious." Danzo declared as he disrupted the flow of his chakra, attempting to break whatever genjutsu he was currently trapped in.

He heard Riley let out a snort of amusement, and then saw her vanish in a burst of speed.

Panic quickly set in as he couldn't tell if the illusion had broken or not.

Suddenly, Riley appeared before him, ripping the splinter out of his stomach and driving it into his head, forcing him to activate Izanagi yet again.

Danzo reappeared elsewhere, this time not even waiting. He threw down a smoke bomb and created as many Shadow Clones as he could and sent them racing out of the smoke while he made a run for it.

He got clear of the smoke and jumped into the air as he heard the sound of battle behind him.

For a half moment, he was confident that he'd make it to the rooftops and be able to run away, that moment was over in an instant as he felt all of his clones pop simultaneously.

"Come on Danzo… don't be such a coward." Riley chastised him, appearing in front of him.

He used his arms to block the kick she sent at him. This time he was able to mitigate some of the damage and land on his feet, though before he could think of what to do, Riley was on him, delivering another kick that sent him flying backwards into the stage, where it buckled underneath him.

"What is happening?! This has to be some kind of illusion!" Danzo screamed into his own mind as he pulled himself up, a shooting pain passing through his body.

His eyes shot down to the wooden splinter sticking out of his gut, and when he saw it, his blood ran cold.

"What have you done to me?" Danzo demanded as he turned his gaze to where Riley was, fear finally bubbling up to the surface and filling his eyes.

"I trapped you. That's what I did." Riley answered with a dark chuckle.

Danzo slowly rose to his feet as Riley stared at him.

"I placed you in an illusionary world. One that repeats itself on an infinite loop. This is the Izanami." Riley answered.

"Izanami? What manner of genjutsu is this?" Danzo questioned her, uncertainty dancing across his face.

"One born of the power of the Sharingan. It's the sibling of your beloved Izanagi. A jutsu that creates an infinite illusion. By using my eyes to record certain events and emotions I'm able to form a timeline. Each event is labeled A,B,C etcetera, etcetera. I can record as many events as I want. The kicker though, is that I have to overlap one of the events to form a loop. So I have to mimic the action or event that was one of the events and copy that as well, then overlap both copies. In this case, when I hit you with some of my Killing Intent, causing you to shit yourself. I think you're starting to notice some of the other events that are part of the sequence." Riley happily explained to the man, causing horror to well up inside of him.

"W-Why are you telling me this? Telling your opponent all about your technique! It's madness! I-I could escape, find a way to break this loop!" Danzo growled at her, full blown panic beginning to set in.

"That's the beauty of this technique Danzo. Izanami actually has a way out, built into it. You see, one thing I forgot to mention is that part of the jutsu involves targeting a focal point in your opponent. Something about them, something you wish to change. The Uchiha actually created Izanami to punish those of the clan who were abusing the powers of the Izanagi. It was meant as a punishment, and a means of rehabilitation. So they would target the Uchiha's need to rely on the Izanagi and force them to abandon that need. By doing so, they would free themselves from the Izanami. Part of the jutsu ritual, involves me directly trying to influence something about you, something I targeted that I wish to change. I'll leave it to you to figure out what that was. If you can, than maybe you'll escape this jutsu." Riley answered his question still smiling at him with the cruelest grin she could manage.

Danzo stared at her, dumbfounded, and nearly in shock, his gut sinking further and further, as he felt the need to ask again, why the hell she was telling him any of this.

"Oh! I almost forgot. You asked why I was willing to tell you all of this. Well the answer is simple Danzo… You're trapped in this illusion… I'm not." Riley responded, letting out a laugh as it finally dawned on Danzo just how beaten he truly was.

"The reason I'm willing to tell you all of this is because I don't want you to escape by accident. I want it to be your choice. You either stay in here for all eternity, and I get to kill you an infinite number of times. Or, you embrace the change… you escape this illusion, and regain consciousness. And then you get to see what I've done to you out there." Riley added, cruelly.

Danzo's gaze fell as the realization sunk in.

He was trapped. Even if he could escape this illusion, without the ability to activate Izanagi, she would have surely killed him by now. She told him these things because she was essentially forcing him to kill himself. Either he stayed in this illusion and fought her endlessly, or he escaped, and by escaping, he'd essentially wake up dead.

As the illusionary Riley took pleasure in Danzo's suffering, outside of Danzo's mind, the real Riley stood over him. One of the tomoe in her right eye vanished from the use of Izanami.

From her earlier tests, it used to take a full day for one tomoe in her Rinne Sharingan to regenerate. Though that had been long ago, back before she had fully matured, and become the Ten-Tail's Jinchuriki. So she wasn't sure how long it would take for that eye to return to full power.

Regardless… this had been the first time Riley had utilized the Izanami outside of training.

Danzo stood before her, motionless. His head down, his eyes closed, almost like he was asleep.

While he just stood there, Riley quietly went to work, cutting off his prosthetic arm and sealing it away. She then removed the bandages from his head, and removed Shisui's Mangekyou Sharingan, which she also sealed away.

Once that was done, she cut Danzo's head off.

She watched the head and body fall to the ground with a dark smile.

"That never gets old. How many times do you think he'll relive the cycle in Izanami?" Kurama inquired.

"Well he'll stay in it for as long as his consciousness remains. Each second he could probably go through the whole sequence of events several hundred times, so I'd say a lot. Brain activity can continue for several seconds after death. They say it can be up to about thirty. Whether he escapes or not, he's already dead, and I got nine functioning Sharingan, Shisui's Mangekyou, and some of grandfather's cells. I can think of all sorts of possibilities for this stuff." Riley responded as she turned away from Danzo and gazed out over the square

Fighting was still going on between soldiers and some civilians. Her fight with Danzo had only taken about ten minutes in total, so everything was still going on.

Focusing her senses, Riley pinpointed Daphne's whereabouts, and quickly moved to her location.

Riley found Daphne trying to crawl past the crushed wreckage of one of the apc's that Riley had destroyed earlier.

Riley began to approach her, her anger washing away as she took in the miserable state of this woman who shared her face with Riley's beloved wife.

Daphne let out a groan as she tried to pull herself up onto her feet. Riley could sense the desperation in her. She was fighting with every ounce of her strength to try and move, to make it to the buildings on the edge of the square, to escape this mess.

Despite all that had happened to her, Daphne was still fighting. She was trying to survive.

"Daph…" Riley stated, her gaze full of pain, and sadness.

Riley saw Daphne's arms and legs begin to give out as she struggled to her feet. As they finally did, Riley rushed forward, catching her from hitting the ground.

Daphne let out a groan and tried to glance at her, but was unable to see who was helping.

"Come on… we need to deal with those injuries real quick, you've got internal bleeding." Riley noted, as she helped move Daphne over to the wreckage of the apc, and sat her up against it.

"We have to get out of here… more are coming… Shimura will have called for reinforcements by now. They'll kill everyone, we have to run…" Daphne growled out through her pain.

She winced heavily as Riley began running diagnostic spells to determine the full extent of her injuries.

It was as Riley was performing her scan that Daphne finally got a look at who was helping her.

Riley felt it, like a hot stake being drilled into her mind. Sheer panic.

She lifted her gaze to look at Daphne and found her eye's wide in fright.

With a surge of adrenaline, Daphne grabbed a twisted piece of metal that lay next to her and swung it hard at Riley's face.

Riley shot back to avoid the strike, holding up her hands as a sign of peace, as Daphne began desperately trying to pull away from her, all the while holding the piece of metal up like a dagger.

"I'm not going to hurt you." Riley said, trying to convey that she wasn't a threat.

The terror in Daphne's eyes, hit Riley like a ton of bricks. Despite this not being her actual wife, Riley now knew what her Daphne would look like in the same state, and it was a face she'd never forget.

Daphne was visibly shaking as her fear turned to panic.

Riley stood before her, staring down at her with pity.

Daphne stared up at her, her shaking getting worse, and her fear continuing to grow.

She started hyperventilating, and Riley was about to speak again when suddenly Daphne turned the sharp piece of metal on herself and tried driving it into her own throat.

Riley shot forward and caught her arm, stopping the attempt.

Reacting quickly, Riley swatted the piece of metal out of Daphne's hands and knocked her out with a stunner. She then scooped Daphne into her arms and sent her into Kamui.

"She was going to kill herself. She was so scared of me that she'd rather kill herself than let me help her." Riley said to herself.

"She knows you. And has a reason to be afraid…" Kurama noted, causing Riley to raise her gaze to the sky.

A few tears of pain gathered in her eyes. She knew it wasn't her. She knew this wasn't her Daphne. But still… to see one of the people she loved so much, in pain, and so terrified of her…

It was like one of Riley's worst nightmares made real.

Riley stood there for several long moments, just staring up at the sky.

She was so lost in thought that she didn't even notice when more soldiers arrived, and a few started shooting at her.

Their bullets slammed into her, tearing at her clothes, but bouncing harmlessly off of her skin. Nearly a hundred rounds came at her before she finally took notice of them. She turned her gaze towards them as her eyes bled red.

With a vicious snarl, she lashed out at them, rushing forward and tearing them apart, one after the other. She took her time, laying into each one with a ravenous fury, shredding them to pieces.

In only a few moments, it was over, and Riley was left standing over the corpses of a platoon of soldiers.

"I hate this place…" Riley muttered as she drew herself into Kamui.

Once there, she made her way over to Daphne, reshaping Kamui as she did, so that a small house now stood nearby. She scooped the unconscious woman into her arms and carried her into the house. She then took Daphne to the bedroom and gently placed her upon the bed. From there she proceeded to run a few diagnostic spells to determine the extent of Daphne's injuries.

Once she knew what she was dealing with, Riley began the process of healing her.

She was slow and delicate with the healing process, trying to cause as little discomfort as possible, all the while fighting off the growing rage within her.

It was difficult to see Daphne like this. It may not have been her Daphne, but she had the same face as Riley's beloved wife, and to see her in so much pain, it filled her with an incredible fury.

By the time Riley was finished healing Daphne's wounds, she was positively seething and had to step away and cool down. She knew she needed to speak with Daphne, to figure what was going on, and why Daphne had reacted with such terror upon seeing her.

So despite her anger, she knew she needed to get into the right frame of mind so that she could talk with her once she woke up.

A few hours passed in Kamui before Daphne began to stir. While Riley waited for her to awaken, she took the time to remove any and all hazardous material from the room. Anything Daphne could get a hold of that she could use to hurt herself.

Slowly, Riley's wife's doppelganger began to open her eyes. She let out a groan as she sat up, gazing around the room groggily. Riley herself was sitting on the windowsill, having spent most of her time staring out over the expanse of Kamui. Now she gazed in at Daphne and it took only a few moments for their eyes to meet.

Daphne let out a cry of fear, and tried to scuttle away, only to realize she was up against the backboard of the bed, and wall. Her eyes frantically searched for a weapon, while Riley let out a sigh.

Slowly, Riley crossed the room as Daphne fell out of bed and tried crawling away, still desperately searching for a means to defend herself. She ended up in the corner of the room, and with no other means available to her, resorted to glaring up at Riley as defiantly as she could manage, all the while fighting off tears of fear and panic.

Riley stood over her, once more fighting off her own anger. Seeing Daphne like this was one of the hardest things Riley had ever had to endure, and if it wasn't for Daphne's fragile state, Riley wouldn't have tried hiding just how angry she was right now.

Despite her rage, she knew she couldn't let Daphne see it. Not with how terrified she was right now. She didn't want to give her any more reason to be afraid.

Taking in another breath, Riley slowly knelt to the ground in front of Daphne, allowing them to be eye-level with one another.

"Hello, Daph… You don't need to be scared. I'm not going to hurt you." Riley offered to her as calmly as she could.

Daphne stared back at her, her glare still present.

"I'm not who you think I am. I'm not the woman you're afraid of. I may share her face, but I'm not her." Riley tried to explain, and with her offering, she caught her first glimpse of her counterpart, as an image of this world's Riley flashed in Daphne's mind. She looked just like Riley did, though her hair was shorter, shoulder length in fact, and she had theSharingan in one eye, and the Rinnegan in her other eye. There was a cruelty to her, something about her look, even as an image in Daphne's eyes.

"My name is Riley, Riley Uchiwa. I'm not going to hurt you, I swear it." Riley offered again.

Daphne was silent as she stared back at Riley, her glare slowly fading away.

"Yo-You're not her…" Daphne muttered, earning a nod from Riley.

"No, I'm not." Riley responded, rising to her feet, and offering Daphne her hand to help her get up.

For a long moment, Daphne stared up at her, confusion dancing in her eyes. Slowly, she reached out, and took Riley's hand, allowing the demoness to help her to her feet.

"I don't understand. You look like her, but you're not her twin." Daphne noted cautiously.

"No. I'm not from this world. My sword brought me here, brought me to your world. The woman your so afraid of, I'm pretty sure she's an alternate version of myself. A me who lived a different life, walked a different path." Riley explained to her, earning further confusion and disbelief from Daphne.

"I don't understand…" Daphne stated.

"This isn't the first time this has happened. I've been to other worlds, other times, to meet other versions of myself. This will actually be the third time. My purpose here is to learn something fundamental about myself through interacting with my alternate self. Once I learn what I'm supposed to, I'll be taken home." Riley explained to her.

"So… you're… just here to learn something about yourself? That's it?" Daphne questioned, not quite believing Riley's story.

"Basically. The first time I did this, I just had to talk with my alternate self, though the second time, I had to fight her. I don't know anything about this version of me, but something tells me I'm going to have to fight her as well." Riley responded.

"Do you think you can? Fight her, I mean?" Daphne asked suddenly.

"Yeah, sure. I'm guessing from the way things are around here, she's not the type to just accept visitors and engage in philosophical discussions. So yeah, fighting sounds like a guarantee." Riley noted with a shrug.

Daphne stared at her, blinking several times in disbelief.

"You have eyes like hers… the power of god… just like the Girl-Who-Lived. If you can use those powers, than maybe you can help us!" Daphne declared.

"Girl-Who-Lived…? Naruko no doubt." Riley thought with a bit of annoyance.

"I assure you, I know how to use these powers." Riley said to her.

"And you'd be willing to fight her?" Daphne questioned, desperation hidden behind her words.

"If I had too. Are you asking me to fight her?" Riley responded.

"Ramira is a monster. You've seen what she's done to this country. People live in fear, innocent people are executed every day. She tortures people, brutalizes them. She's a nightmare, and she has to be stopped!" Daphne proclaimed.

"Danzo was right. You are a rebel." Riley noted with a smirk.

Daphne blinked several times, and let out a sigh. "Yes. I am a rebel. I work with the resistance against Ramira and her allies. They're destroying everything. Her armies wash across the world, killing anyone who resists. Those she conquers are tormented, many of which are enslaved. If someone doesn't stand against her, than we're all doomed. We need help. I don't know how much help you'll be, but you fought Danzo. You killed him, didn't you? If you can do that, than maybe you'll be the edge we need to finally take her down."

"So you want me to kill her?" Riley asked.

Daphne blinked at her, making a face as she did.

"I'm not from this world Daph. I don't know the people here, and quite frankly, I don't care about their problems. I have no stake in the struggles of these people. When I've accomplished what I came here to do, I go home, back to my world. Arguing for the plights of your people, doesn't do much for me, because I'll never know how this ends, and I'll never know whether you succeed or fail in the end. If you ask me to kill this Ramira, then I will. But just ask. I'm not a good person, I'm not a hero, and these aren't my people. What happens here, wont affect my life as a whole. Whether this world is consumed by darkness, or achieves it's salvation, in the end, I wont be here to know either way. Ramira sounds like a bitch, and I know I'll have to fight her to get what I want, but beyond that, I have no greater reason for getting involved in this worlds conflicts." Riley explained to her, earning surprise, confusion, and anger from Daphne.

"If you don't care about this world, or it's people, than why did you help save us? Why did you bring me here? Fix my injuries? If none of this matters, than why fight Danzo?" Daphne demanded.

"I fought Danzo because I fucking hate Danzo. As for why I saved you, it's because on my world, my Daphne is someone I hold very close to heart. In my world, Daphne and I are married. I love her dearly, and you have her face. I don't know you, I don't know how much you share with my wife, but you have her face, and I couldn't bare to see you executed, no matter the reasoning." Riley revealed earning dumbfounded surprise from Daphne.

"I'm your…. You and I are…? Oh…" Daphne muttered, confused, and embarrassed.

"Yeah…" Riley nodded.

"So that's why you called me Daph…? Only two people have ever called me Daph." Daphne noted.

"Astoria and Tracey." Riley stated, earning a small smile from Daphne which carried with it, a deep sadness.

"They're gone now, aren't they?" Riley guessed, earning a slow nod from Daphne. "I'm sorry."

"I thought you didn't care." Daphne responded, tiredly.

"I didn't know them, and they may be nothing like the ones I know, but I am sorry to hear that they're gone. Tracey was your best friend, and I know how much you loved your sister." Riley said to her, offering her sympathy.

"I understand that this isn't your world, or your fight, but we need help. If you know how to use the powers of the Rinnegan, than surely there's something you can do for us. Please… we need help." Daphne asked of her.

"Alright then. I'll kill her for you. Now… tell me what you know of her powers." Riley agreed.

Letting out a sigh, Daphne began explaining what she knew of Ramira's powers. Ramira possessed the Rinnegan and all of it's powers, and she kept it active in one of her eyes. She had lost one of her eyes fighting against the Fourth Hokage, though she had taken Kakashi Hatake's Sharingan to replace it, and later stole Obito Uchiha's Sharingan, and bonded the powers of the two eyes together, granting her an Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, that possessed the abilities of both of Obito's eyes. Meaning not only did Ramira have the Rinnegan's powers, but also the ability to utilize Kamui, and having mastered the Mangekyou's powers, she also had Susano'o. Ramira was an incredible fighter, having killed the Kazekage Gaara, a male version of Gaia, from the sounds of it, the Mizukage Mei Terumi, as well as the Tsuchikage Onoki. Suna, Kiri, Iwa, Konoha, and Kumo, had all been destroyed by Ramira, and she had successfully captured most of the Tailed Beasts, the only two she still needed were the Eight Tails and the other half of the Nine Tails, which had been sealed into Naruko.

Ramira was vicious and cruel. A monster on the battlefield who sought to fight anyone, and everyone she could, killing all in her path. When not fighting, Ramira was torturing people. She was an absolute monster who filled her time with cruelty, and committing acts of unspeakable horrors upon others.

She also had a Horcrux a type of soul anchor to keep herself from being killed. It was here in London, locked away in her fortress.

The resistance comprised of surviving shinobi, along with witches and wizards from all over Europe. Ramira held most of the world by the throat at this point, with only a few countries still left to conquer. She was away on campaign right now, so the resistance was planning an attack on the fortress to destroy her Horcrux and then lure Ramira in a last desperate battle where they'd hit her with everything they had.

It took an hour or two to explain this all to Riley, but by the end, Riley was smirking from ear to ear, very much excited to meet her alternate self on the battlefield and see just how far this Ramira could push her before her end.

"So you see, we desperately could use your help. We all know this is a suicide mission, but we have to try. We've gathered all of pieces for one final push. After hearing all of that, if you know anything that can help us, or you can do anything to help us, please… we need it." Daphne finished up.

"Alright, thanks for the explanation. I'll help out how I can. Take me to your resistance, and I'll see about ending this." Riley offered, earning a look from Daphne, but before she could speak Daphne felt an unknown force pull at her being, and she suddenly found herself standing in an alleyway in London. Riley quickly appeared before her, using the same power than Ramira did to become Intangible.

"You… you have the same power as her? You can teleport to another dimension, become untouchable. You have the power Kamui." Daphne realized.

"Yeah. I do. Now… let's get going." Riley suggested.

Slowly Daphne nodded, before stepping out of the alley and taking a look around.

Slipping into rebel mode, Daphne began leading Riley through the city, avoiding guards, surveillance systems and checkpoints.

They kept quiet mostly until they reached an old apartment building.

Daphne led Riley inside, Riley the whole time, kept her head down, and her face hidden. She wore a hooded sweatshirt to keep people from noticing her.

Within, were members of the resistance, all wearing civilian clothing and acting as civilians would. They watched the two closely, but gave no indication that they were anything other than normal people.

Daphne led her into the basement, where a cluster of men were gathered playing card games. They watched the two enter as Daphne led Riley over to a vending machine. She then clicked a few of the buttons in a specific order, inputting some kind of code, before giving the machine three hard bangs. The front of the vending machine suddenly opened, revealing it's interior to be hollow. Inside was a doorway that led into a hole in the wall, leading to a secret room.

Riley was led inside, and immediately, they were confronted by about a dozen shinobi and magicals.

"Name?" One of the guards instructed.

"Daphne Greengrass." Daphne answered, as the men began performing spells on her. Using magic to detect if she was under the influence of any foreign magic.

"And your friend?" She was asked.

"She's…" Daphne began, but suddenly one of the shinobi let out a yell as he noticed Riley's face.

"It's Ramira!" He cried, and in an instant, most of the surrounding Shinobi went on the attack. Daphne tried to shout for them to stop, but before the word even left her mouth, a string of loud thuds were heard.

All of the guards shook, almost in unison, and began doubling over, gasping for air.

Daphne watched in disbelief as they fell to the ground, choking and sucking in breath as they clutched at their stomachs.

Slowly she turned her gaze back to Riley, whom had her hood down now, and was just staring down at them with boredom.

Quickly, those in the room began to rise to their feet, and from adjoining rooms, more people entered.

"Ramira!" Riley heard the cry of a familiar voice. From the far side of the room, the Raikage emerged. A, and by his side was Killer Bee.

Lightning erupted around the Raikage as he prepared to charge her, but suddenly, someone was in front of him.

"Wait! That's not Ramira!" Came the shout from Naruko Namikaze.

As the room continued to fill with some familiar faces, the Raikage began to settle down, taking note of the differences between Riley and her counterpart.

"Daphne! You're alright! I thought you were a goner, we heard you were captured when the raided the Miller house." One of the spectators spoke up upon seeing Daphne.

"I very nearly was. Everyone… this is Riley. She saved me. Saved some of the others too when she attacked the execution grounds. She killed Danzo." Daphne told everyone.

"She killed Danzo?" Someone spoke up.

"We'd heard that there was an attack, and there were mentions that Danzo Shimura had been killed in the fighting. We didn't know what to think of it." Naruko stated, as her eyes drifted to Riley.

"Why don't we invite our new friend to sit down, and speak with us. There's no need for further violence." Came the suggestion from one Albus Dumbledore.

Riley gave the old man a glance, and offered a nod.

As many of the resistance members gathered in the main room, Riley took note of the interesting individuals present. Minato was present, so was A. Killer Bee, and Sasuke Uchiha. Dumbledore and Remus Lupin. Ron Weasely, Hermione Granger, Jiraiya, and Tsunade. Were all some of those she took note of.

All of them looked terrible. The scars of battle were quite noticeable. Tsunade was missing an arm. Half of Jiraiya's face had severe burn scars, Minato had bandages around his eyes.

This ragtag team of rebels looked like absolute hell, and Riley could only think of 'pitiful' to describe the motley gathering.

Daphne was explaining to them what had happened to her. How she had been captured and tortured than sentenced to execution. How Riley had arrived and broken up the event. Daphne had tried to crawl away, though she did catch sight of Riley cutting Danzo's head off, as she was.

Than Riley came to her, knocked her out, and took her to safety, healed her injuries and everything. She then explained who Riley was, which earned shock and disbelief from everyone present.

"So you're like, Ramira from another world?" Came the question from Ron.

"Sure. Though my name is Riley." Riley responded.

"Riley? Why are you here, Riley? Why did you come to this place, why are you helping us?" Minato questioned her.

"My sword brought me here. It's a test, or a learning opportunity. I'm here to see and experience an alternate version of myself. To learn something from her, in regards to my own life. I'll stay here until I learn it, than I'll be free to go home. As for why I'm helping, Daphne asked me to." Riley responded.

"That's it? Do you have any idea how powerful Ramira is? You just show up out of nowhere and decide to get involved?" Naruko questioned her with a critical gaze.

"Yeah, Daphne explained to me some of her powers, after hearing all of that, I decided I was still going to help. Seems like it'll be fun." Riley shrugged.

"Fun?!" A roared at her. "You have no idea how powerful she is. You may have eyes like hers, but she has Tailed Beasts, and the ability to avoid all incoming attacks. Not only is she incredibly strong, but you can only hurt her, the moment she becomes physical to attack you. Meaning you have to open yourself up for an attack, just for the opportunity to hit back. And one hit from Ramira, will kill you. There's nothing 'fun' about this!"

"I know of the powers she possesses, and I'm not worried. Daphne asked me to kill Ramira, and so I will. I just wanted to come here, see what you all had on offer, and if it was worth working with you. From the looks of this ragtag group you've got here, it doesn't seem like it." Riley responded, earning dumbfounded or angry looks from the rebels.

"Who do you think you are? You show up here out of nowhere, and just decide you're going to fight the strongest evil the world has ever known. You talk about this like it's a game! Innocent lives are on the line. Our world is on the line! If Ramira isn't brought down, than everyone will spend the rest of their lives suffering! The stakes couldn't possibly be higher, and you think this is just some sort of game!" Naruko snarled at her.

Riley locked eyes with her sister, and smirked.

"Are you complaining? I'm here to kill the so called' greatest evil' and you want to complain about the enjoyment I find in doing so? Grow up. I could have just gone and found Ramira, fought her, learned what I needed to, and then left you all to your fate, instead, I'm willing to go the extra mile in killing this bitch. So what if I don't give a damn about your lives, or sufferings. I'm still going to save you at the end of the day, who cares why I did it. So fuck off with your moral superiority bullshit!" Riley countered her smirk growing challenging.

"You say that like it's so easy. Ramira's powers far outweigh anything you could bring to bare. You have no idea what you're getting yourself into." Minato noted, his tone conveying a seriousness that normally Riley could appreciate, but considering who the chastisement was coming from, made her just want to cross the room and punch him square in the jaw.

"Your assistance in this matter, isn't needed anyway. Ramira will die soon. We don't need your help." Sasuke stated in a matter-of-fact sounding tone. Some voiced their agreement, showing Riley the true depths of hypocrisy of this so-called resistance.

They hated Ramira so much, the moment a literal godsend appears to fix their problems, an answer to all their prayers is finally given, they reject it because they don't appreciate that it doesn't have kind things to say.

"This world sucks…" Riley noted.

"Indeed. Maybe we should just leave?" Kurama suggested.

"Nah, I told Daphne I'd help, so I will. I might let them all get stomped first, before I deal with this." Riley responded.

"Doesn't matter what you say. I'm here, I've got to confront Ramira and figure out just what makes her and I so different. Normally that would be it, but because Daphne asked me so nicely, I'll kill Ramira before I leave. Your vendettas, your issues, none of it really concerns me. I'm going to kill her. End of story. You can either enjoy it, get in my way, or complain. Just know that if you get in my way, you wont enjoy the outcome." Riley responded to their complaints earning silence from the room.

"You really think you have a chance?" Naruko questioned her.

"Daphne said Ramira has Tailed Beasts. She obviously doesn't have all of them since I sense half of the Nine Tails in you, and the whole Eight Tails in Killer Bee. Without all of the Tailed Beasts, she's a threat, nothing more." Riley responded.

"Well she also can't be hit, did Daphne tell you about that part?" Ron spoke up.

"Yes. And I have a plan for dealing with that too." Riley said to them, earning confused and curious looks from those around her.

"You know how to counteract Kamui?" Minato asked.

"When the power of Intangibility is activated, the part of her body that's avoiding the attack is sent into Kamui. It's impossible to hit it from our dimension while it's there, but it's very much possible to hit it, while it's in Kamui." Riley answered.

"And you think you can pull that off?" Minato inquired.

"I know I can. I wouldn't be so confident if I didn't already know that I could do it." Riley responded, allowing some of her annoyance to shine through. "Considering I'm like the greatest evil this world has ever seen, you'd think you people would be more inclined to trust that I know what I'm talking about. I may not be Ramira, but that doesn't mean I'm weaker than she is, by default."

Silence filled the rooms as several looks were shared. After a few moments, Riley let out a sigh and shrugged.

"Alright, hows about this. I'll let you morons have your chance to beat her. I'll go and destroy her Horcrux and I'll even disable her Kamui for you. Give you the opportunity to be big damn heroes. If you win, than congrats, you did it, you can go home with your heads held high, and if you fail, well then I'll be there to kill her while you're busy bleeding out. Hows that for compromise?" Riley offered to them, again earning several looks, some of which were disgruntled, or insulted, but after several moments, Dumbledore spoke up.

"I think I speak for everyone when I say that we would be most appreciative for your help. Ramira's Horcrux is hidden deep within her fortress, I'm assuming you have a plan to get in?" Dumbledore asked her.

"Yep, I attack it head on, draw in her forces, alert Ramira to the attack and draw her back to London. When she comes back, you guys can have your epic final battle, meanwhile I'll destroy her soul anchor, her army, and her fortress. I'll go tomorrow morning." Riley answered, causing whispers to spread through the group.

"You don't wish to wait a little longer?" Dumbledore asked.

"Nope. I killed Danzo earlier today. If he was one of her higher-ups than chances are good she'll be informed about his death sometime soon. Best to launch the attack as soon as possible, so that her soul anchor can be destroyed before she's aware that something is amiss." Riley responded.

"Alright then. Tomorrow it is. We'll just have to be ready." Minato stated, earning a nod of agreement from A.

As people began to disperse, Daphne stepped over to Riley.

"Are you sure about this? That you can disable her Intangibility, that you can destroy her Horcrux. Her fortress is heavily defended, both physically and magically." Daphne questioned her.

"Yeah. I'm sure I can handle this." Riley responded, offering her a smile.

"You seem so confident. Like you've done this all before." Daphne noted.

"Not this, but I've fought against world-ending terrors before, and I've bested them. This Ramira is just another foe I'll deal with. She may have her tricks, but I'll find a way to overcome them. After all, I did say I would deal with her. That's a promise, and I don't break my promises." Riley offered to her, earning a slow nod from Daphne.

"Regardless of what the others say or think, I'm thankful for your help. We need a miracle. Everyone is just so bound up in their need for revenge or their belief in destiny that they can't see anything beyond it." Daphne said to her.

"Destiny? Like some sort of prophecy? Let me guess, someone, somewhere, made a prophecy stating that one of these dingbats is meant to defeat Ramira?" Riley guessed with an annoyed smirk.

"Yeah, actually. The Girl-Who-Lived. According to a prophecy, she's destined to defeat the Dark Lord. We all thought it was Voldemort, but he was killed by Ramira. Only now are some thinking that it was actually meant to be Ramira." Daphne explained.

Riley nodded at that, and let out a sigh.

"Always with the prophecy. You know, prophecy is all well and good, but it doesn't mean a lick of shit, if you don't work to attain it. Just because some crackpot seer says something, doesn't mean that everyone shouldn't be working to fix whatever problem comes about. So they think Naruko is destined to fight her twin in a battle, to end all battles, a fight to save the world, well what if some no name asshole kills Naruko before then? Does everyone just give up because the one destined to defeat Ramira is suddenly dead? No. You go out there, you work your ass off to find a solution. Prophecies are annoying." Kurama growled out, earning a nod from Riley.

"Yeah, I agree." Riley responded to him.

"You know, depending on the wording of the prophecy, if it specifically mentions the Girl-Who-Lived, it could very well mean you. Especially if Ramira killed Voldemort originally in this timeline, just like you did when you were a child." Kurama noted.

"That's very true. This prophecy may just be speaking about me, and my arrival here to beat the shit out of this woman. That's not exactly something anyone can plan for. I mean, honestly, if an alternate dimensional version of myself suddenly showed up in my world, ready to kick my ass, I'd be screwed, I would definitely not be ready for that shit. I'm not even certain I'd have pants on…" Riley agreed with her demonic companion.

"Ms. Riley, I'd like to apologize for everyone's confrontational nature. It was most unpleasant but I hope you understand that they are all under quite a lot of stress." Came the words of Albus Dumbledore.

Riley turned her gaze to the old headmaster and offered him a smile.

"It's fine, professor. As I mentioned, this isn't my world, these aren't my friends, or my family, their opinions me nothing to me. They can hate me if they want, it doesn't really bother me. I promised Daphne I'd help, so I will, whether they appreciate it or not." Riley said to him in response.

The old man smiled at her, and nodded in understanding.

"I thank you for doing this. It's been quite a long time since we've had any sort of good news." Dumbledore admitted.

"I doubt I'll have much time to spend after everything is said and done, so this may be the only chance we get to talk so let me just say that I hope you guys can manage to fix this place after I'm gone. Despite not giving a damn about this world, I don't wish you ill." Riley offered to the man, earning a nod and a small smile.

That night, Riley sat awake as she planned out her attack, based off of everything she knew. While she was mentally planning, Daphne came and sat with her.

"What's up?" Riley inquired, sensing Daphne's annoyance.

"Nothing, it's just… the others are still worried about whether or not you'll be able to manage in dealing with Ramira's Horcrux, so they're planning on sending a team in after you to make sure the job is done." Daphne explained to her.

"Not needed, but they can do what they want." Riley shrugged in response, not at all surprised. Despite the presence of the Rinne Sharingan in her eyes Riley knew why none of them trusted in her abilities. It was because they couldn't sense her. Given that her power was basically Demonic Nature Energy, it became near impossible to sense it for regular sensors. Only sages, and those with specially attuned sensory abilities, like the Rinnegan, could actually see the vastness of her power.

All any sensor got from Riley was the darkness of her aura, but the Fidelus which had remained active all this time, prevented them from accurately gauging what she was. So without being able to sense her, and with only the ability to determine her darker nature, it's no surprise that they didn't trust her. Hell, if Naruko had the cooperation of the half of Kurama she had within her, than he had most likely told her that Riley's nature was incredibly malevolent, but beyond that, he couldn't determine her strength, unless she started actively releasing her power.

Several moments of silence passed between the two before Daphne spoke up again, deciding to inquire on something she was curious about. "What's she like?"

"Who?" Riley inquired.

"Me. The other me, I mean. Your wife. What's she like?" Daphne asked.

A soft smile touched at Riley's lips as she thought on her beloved first wife. It took her a moment to compile her thoughts into a proper answer.

"My Daphne is incredible. She's smart, and cunning. Witty, and clever. Beautiful and elegant. She can be cold as ice, but when she gets excited she burns with a fiery passion. She has a noble heart, that she keeps well guarded, and a kindness that people don't usually get to see. Her ambition is a powerful driving force, and I've seen it carry her to great heights. Honestly, I think she's just incredible. I know she'd be embarrassed hearing me talk about her like this, which makes we want to talk about her more. I could go on for hours about her, my wonderful Ice Queen." Riley gushed, her words earning a snort of amusement from Daphne as she turned and stared off.

"You two are really close?" She asked.

"Yeah. She's my mate. We share a bond, a connection that transcends just the physical and emotional. She and I can share in each other's thoughts and feelings, we know things about one another that others don't and couldn't." Riley answered, earning a thoughtful look from Daphne.

"The sex is incredible, by the way." Riley added, earning a half snort, half gasp of surprise from Daphne, as she tried not to blush at that statement.

Riley let out a chuckle at her reaction, happy to see that she could make Daphne blush, even in another timeline.

"I'm happy for you, I really am. I hope you're right about your chances, and you get to leave this place and return to her. I hope it all works out and this nightmare can be over." Daphne said after a few moments of silence.

"It wont be easy, fixing this mess, but I know you've got the strength to see it through. You're one of the strongest people I know, Daph. You know that the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows, and there will be more horror before the end, but you've got the strength to endure it. The night is darkest before the dawn, as the saying goes. Tomorrow, I'll see this nightmare ended. That's a promise." Riley offered her, earning a pleasant smile and nod from Daphne.

The two remained beside one another the rest of the night, Daphne catching a bit of sleep, and occasionally talking with Riley about her alternate self, and alternate life. Come the approach of dawn, Riley arose and began preparing for her attack.

She listened in as the resistance reiterated their plan of attack.

It was all very simple, Riley and a team would attack the fortress and destroy Ramira's Horcrux, the destruction of the soul anchor would instantly alert Ramira to what was happening if she didn't already know that something was up. She would then return to London where she'd be engaged by Naruko, Sasuke, Minato, A, Killer Bee, Jiraiya, and Tsunade. Ramira would most likely summon the Tailed Beasts, which would be engaged by everyone save for Naruko and Sasuke. Those two would face Ramira while the rest held off the Tailed Beasts.

It was only now that they asked how Riley intended to disable Ramira's Kamui ability.

"Whenever the Intangibility aspect of Kamui is utilized, a part, or all of her body enters into the Kamui dimension, allowing attacks to phase through her. Kamui is a dimension located within the eyes of the user, so no two Kamui dimensions are the same. She's using Obito's eyes, and since she has both of them, there's no way to access her Kamui by using the other eye. However, that doesn't mean that there is no way at all to breach the Kamui dimension. With my eyes, I can track her chakra, even in other dimensions, so once I have her locked in, and she utilizes the ability, I'll be able to sense her within her Kamui dimension, and I can open a space-time portal into it. Then I'll send Shadow Clones into it, armed with special summoning tags that can act as the medium for the Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags technique. Each of these summoning tags will release swarms of Paper Bombs that will saturate Kamui in explosions for roughly an hour. Buying the time needed to land a killing blow." Riley explained to them all.

"That technique is one created by the Second Hokage. How did you manage to learn it?" Minato asked, as everyone pondered her explanation.

"I was taught it by the man himself. In my time, he was revived from the dead." Riley answered.

"Wow… well alright then. We actually have a plan that might work. Everyone confident on their parts? Then I say we begin." Minato declared after a few moments of contemplation.

As people began to move out, Riley approached Daphne.

"What'll you be doing during all of this?" Riley inquired.

"Helping evacuate people. When the fighting starts they'll try to lure Ramira away from populated areas, but in the event she doesn't take the bait, me and the others are going to try and get people to safety." Daphne answered.

"Alright then. Stay safe, and if you need me for anything. Just give this a toss and I'll be there in a flash." Riley said to her, offering her a Hiraishin kunai.

Daphne took the blade and examined it, quickly recognizing it as similar to the Fourth Hokage's signature weapon.

"Wait… this… does that mean you know the Fourth's teleportation jutsu?" Daphne inquired.

In response, Riley offered her a smirk, and turned to head out.

She quickly made it outside and took to the roofs, her gaze locking onto Ramira's fortress in the distance. Letting out a chuckle, Riley shot forward, ready to engage this malevolent force and see what kind of power it could bring to bare.

Within moments, Riley arrived in front of the fortress, her sudden appearance startling some of the soldiers who immediately trained their weapons on her before faltering as they seemed to recognize her.

With a smirk, Riley began her attack, drawing her staff she unleashed a torrent of flames upon the nearest section of guards. They quickly overcame their hesitance and began fighting back. Soon a flurry of bullets and explosions filled the air, and within a few more moments, spells and jutsu joined the chaos.

Riley danced around all incoming attacks, retaliating with powerful magical spells. Bolts of lightning, curses, and all other manner of spellwork bombarded the troop of soldiers as they stormed out of the fortress.

Soon an alarm began blaring, and the gates to the fortress began opening.

Armored apcs began to emerge from within as attack helicopters took to the skies.

Riley continued her attack, cutting through everything in her path and pushing into the interior of the fortress. As she passed through the gates, she felt herself enter into a barrier of sorts, as well as a ward scheme. Focusing on the wards first, Riley activated her Byakugan and began scanning for where they were centered. Upon locating them, she dispatched a Shadow Clone to go and destroy the fortress's wards, she then searched for where the barrier was being projected from. Deep within the underbelly of the fortress, she spotted a chamber where a number of magicals were being kept, chained to the floor.

Using her Intangibility, she quickly descended through the ground, leaving the soldiers above the wonder as to where she had vanished too.

After a few moments she arrived at the chamber, and glanced around at the thirty or so magicals kept in the room. Each one was anchored to the floor via an ankle brace, and each one look emaciated and drained. Dark magics coursed through the room, draining these people of their life-force and magic, using it to fuel the barrier.

In the center of the room sat a barrier scheme, drawn into the floor. Riley stepped up to it and analyzed it's design. After determining that it could be destroyed by erasing the barrier scheme, Riley quickly set about breaking it. Once that was done she ripped the chains free of the prisoners in the room and then departed.

Once outside of the room, Riley felt the wards go down and her clone pop, having successfully disabled them.

With both of those focal points of magic dealt with, Riley could now more easily search the facility for Ramira's Horcrux. Using her Byakugan, Riley scanned the facility. Her eyes passed over unspeakable horrors taking place in the underbelly of the complex. Torture chambers, sacrificial chambers, wretched pleasure houses, all existed within this hellish place.

While on the top it appeared like a simple fortress, below it was a charnel house. After several long moments, Riley spotted a focal point of dark magic. For a moment, she felt herself sigh, as she took in what most likely held the Horcrux. Riley quickly shot through the facility, arriving in a portion that was far nicer than the rest. This area actually looked homely, comfortable even.

Riley passed into the room that held two lifeforms. One was what she was looking for, and the other, someone she hadn't expected to see.

Fleur Delacour resided within what looked to be a child's room. As Riley entered, she was quickly spotted and Fleur positioned herself in front of a small little girl.

"Ramira?" Fleur blinked several times in confusion.

"Son of a bitch…" Kurama growled, realizing what was going on.

Riley stared at Fleur for several long moments before her eyes drifted down to the small dark haired little girl that was peeking out from behind her mother's leg. This child had similar features to Lucille, and within her body, Riley could see not only demonic power, but the soul anchor that she was looking for.

Riley lifted her gaze to Fleur, taking note of any marks or injuries she may have bore, but found none. It took her a few moments, but she quickly surmised that Ramira was probably Fleur's soul mate in this timeline as well. Meaning that Fleur would love her unconditionally, even if she was evil as everyone said she was.

"Ramira, what happened to you? What's going on out there?" Fleur inquired.

Riley instantly took note of something different about this Fleur, she had lost her accent, and seamed to speak English fluently. What that meant, Riley didn't know, but she did pick up on it.

Riley took a moment to take in a quiet breath, as she rationalized the position she was now in. It was very much possible that she could remove the Horcrux from the child without killing the kid, though she wasn't sure if it would be painless, but she also realized that by killing Ramira, she would now be hurting Fleur.

A part of her hoped that this Fleur was a cruel bitch, that only resembled her beloved mate, but was nothing like her.

Internally a war raged within her, but after several long moments, she decided to steal her heart, and do what needed to be done. She had made a promise to Daphne, she couldn't allow herself to get wrapped up in another look-alike and allow herself to be torn between them. As much as it hurt, this wasn't her Fleur, and that wasn't her daughter.

As soon as she steeled herself, her eyes bled red, and her pupils became slitted.

"Ramira…" Fleur muttered fearfully, taking a step back and reaching down to keep her child behind her.

"I'm not Ramira, and you're in my way." Riley stated coldly as one of her tails shot out, seizing Fleur by the arm and yanking her away, tossing her across the room to land on the nearby child bed.

Fleur cried out and struggled as Riley's tail pinned her to the bed and Riley slowly approached the small child.

The little girl backed away from her fearfully, clutching at a little toy wand as she did.

"Mommy?" The child uttered fearfully in a voice that Riley hoped wouldn't be familiar to her in a few years when Lucille started talking.

"I'm not your mother, sweet child. I'm not going to hurt you, just stand still and this will be over soon." Riley said to her.

"Stay away from her! Emilia, run away! Stay away!" Fleur shouted as she struggled and thrashed, many of her Veela powers beginning to manifest as she desperately tried to come to her child's aid.

Riley paid her little mind, as she approached the child. The little girl back away from her until she ran into a wall. By now tears built in her eyes as she stared up at the frightening visage of Riley.

Riley slowly lowered to a squat in front of the child, staring into her eyes as she did.

More screams were heard from Fleur as Riley raised her hand and placed it on the child's chest. Using her command over soul magic, Riley located the piece of Ramira that had latched onto this child's spirit. Once she located it, Riley used her powers to grab hold of it, and specifically only it. Then using the powers of the Human Path Riley pulled the soul fragment out.

The thankfully didn't feel a thing as Riley rose to her feet, holding the shadowy purple orb of Ramira's soul in her hand.

Riley stared at it for several long moments before summoning a ball of Hellfire in her opposite hand. She then brought the two together, causing an ear piercing shriek to emerge from the soul anchor as it was burned away.

Once that was done, Riley released Fleur and turned away, heading for the exit.

Fleur quickly shot off the bed and raced over to her child, she quickly checker her for injuries before turning her attention to Riley whom had stopped at the doorway.

"I know the power of a Veela's instincts are strong when it comes to their mates, but you need to allow your instincts as a mother to surpass them. Take your daughter, flee this place. Ramira is not coming back." Riley glanced over her should at them, locking eyes with Fleur.

Fleur stared back, fright passing through her body as she did.

"Take your child, leave this country. Make a home for yourself away from all of this, and raise your daughter as best you can. Ramira will die this day. There's no need for you or your daughter to die with her. Go now, please…" Riley offered as a final bit of parting words before heading out the door.

On the other side, Riley let out a sigh and fought back the need to groan. Sorrow built within her, as the image of Fleur's terrified expression passed through her mind. She hated seeing that, and she hated doing that, and now she would always know what her beloved mate would look like in such a state.

The idea that she was the cause of it, made it even more unsettling. After several long moments, Riley activated her Intangibility and rose through the ceiling.

She lifted up out of the facility to find a battle already taking place.

It seems that Ramira had been alerted to the attack on the fortress and had returned immediately. Outside of the fortress, within the city of London, Riley spotted the towering forms of the Tailed Beasts, as well as several other giant creatures.

A giant slug, three giant toads, and the Eight Tails, all stared down the One through Seven Tails.

Nearby Riley spotted Naruko and Sasuke engaged with the fearsome Ramira Uchiwa.

Using her Byakugan Riley got her first in-person look at her counterpart. She looked much the same as she did in Daphne's memories, and despite obviously having felt the destruction of her soul anchor, she fought with a hellish grin on her face.

Slowly Riley drifted over to the rooftop of a building, where she sat down on it and continued to watch the fight.

"Not gonna intervene?" Kurama questioned her.

"I will… just like I said I would, when they are beaten, and bloodied. If they can manage this on their own, then good for them, I'll step in before they kill her so that she and I can talk. If not, then I'll fight her. For now I'll wait for her to use Kamui and disable it for them, than the rest will be left in their hands."Riley thought back coolly.

"Hey, I know that thing back there wasn't exactly pleasant, but good job sticking to your promise. She's not your Daphne, and it's not like her displeasure or disapproval means anything in the long run, but you stuck to your guns and did what you had too, and that's commendable." Kurama offered to her.

"Thanks Kurama. That means a lot." Riley responded as she continued to watch the battle. Suddenly she spotted Ramira phase through one of Sasuke's attacks, and then another.

As she did, Riley used the powers of the Rinne Sharingan to lock onto her chakra signature, and try to locate it, when she became Intangible. It took several attempts before Riley finally got it, and when she did, she utilized Yomotsu Hirasaka to open a portal directly to the location where she felt Ramira's chakra.

Peaking her head through the portal, she spotted the inside of Ramira's Kamui. A dark and dreadful place, filled with corpses and death. As tempted as Riley was to go inside and investigate, she stuck to her original plan and sent in several Shadow Clones so they could set the explosives.

Within moments, they were finished and with a pulse of chakra, Riley closed the portal and allowed the hour long series of explosions to consume the interior of the pocket dimension.

She then turned her attention back to Ramira, within moments, Naruko closed in on her and attempted to hit her with a Rasengan, as Ramira activate her Intangibility, an explosion ripped out from the part of her body that had been sent to the other dimension.

Naruko was blasted back the by the explosion and Ramira was forced to pull back and assess what had happened. She seemed confused, unable to understand what had happened.

Suddenly, Sasuke closed in on her, striking out with his sword. Again Ramira activated her Intangibility, and again an explosion ripped out from her body injuring her again, and sending Sasuke sliding back.

Again, Ramira retreated and assessed her injuries.

Sasuke and Naruko began to stalk after her, Naruko now sporting a large grin.

Riley read her lips as she spoke.

"Looks like you've lost your ability to avoid our attacks." Naruko noted.

"Now you'll have to fight on our terms." Sasuke added.

Ramira was quiet for a moment, glancing between the two and her injuries. After a few moments, she appeared to chuckle, and rolled her shoulders.

She then brought her hands together, releasing a powerful blast of energy, that sent Sasuke and Naruko racing back as Shinra Tensei was activated.

A massive crater formed around Ramira, and she quickly dropped to it's lowest point. As soon as she hit the ground, she sped through handsigns and activated the Reanimation Jutsu.

Riley watched with a silent curse as two coffins rose from the ground in front of Ramira, and sprang open. Sasuke and Naruko were quickly racing back into the crater, but they were too late to stop the jutsu.

From within the coffins, two figures emerged. One was Hashirama Senju, and the other, Madara Uchiha.

Riley let out a laugh as she saw the two, knowing full well that this fight was about to get much more interesting.

She then took note of Ramira's words as she spoke.

"You wish to play games with me? Fine, then lets play." Ramira said with a menacing grin as she snapped her fingers, and the two titans began to advance.

"Seems this just got a bit more exciting." Kurama noted.

"Sure does, let's let Hashirama and Madara chase the two off, then I can go and confront Ramira." Riley suggested.

"Good idea." Kurama responded as Riley rose to her feet and waited for her moment to strike.

Once her two grandfathers began to push Naruko and Sasuke back, Riley would move in. For now, she watched, and allowed them their chance at glory. Soon she'd have what she needed, and she could finally return home, to be with the people that she loved and cherished, who lives mattered to her more than anything else.
