Happy New Year! Alright time for the next chapter, hope you guys enjoy.
Broken Angel: Rising Demon
Chapter 35: Monstrous Intent
-London, England-
Riley sat upon a high-rise gazing out over London. Near to the edges of the city, two massive battles were taking place.
On one side you had the fight against the Tailed Beasts under Ramira's control, and on the other, you had Naruko and Sasuke fighting for their lives against the reanimated forms of Hashirama and Madara.
Nearby, sat Ramira's fortress where Riley would occasionally cast a glance, monitoring the situation there, more specifically keeping an eye out for Fleur and her daughter. Riley had no intention of either of them coming to harm in the battle, so she hoped that they were trying to escape. From the looks of it, the two were being escorted to a helicopter by some of the soldiers, so Riley was hopeful that they would soon depart from the area, and Riley wouldn't have to fear for their safety any longer.
Against the Tailed Beasts, the rebels were putting up a decent fight. The Eight Tails was running the show. Killer Bee utilized a Tailed Beast Transformation, in order to combat the titanic beasts. He was supported by three giant toads, that had been summoned by Jiraiya and Minato, as well as a giant slug, that had been summoned by Tsunade.
The Raikage A moved among them, assisting in the fight against the Tailed Beasts, overall they were doing better than expected, but that could turn at any moments.
The Tailed Beasts were all under Ramira's control, being manipulated by Genjutsu, and they weren't fighting together, nor were they utilizing their various abilities in a manner that would have benefited the group as a whole. They were more so fighting as individuals, and that allowed the rebels a chance to combat them. That of course, could change at any moment. One misstep was all it would take for the odds to shift back into the demon's favor.
Turning her gaze back to the fight between her grandfathers, and Naruko and Sasuke, the two weren't doing so well.
Naruko fought Hashirama and was on the defensive. She was utilizing a Bijuu Mode in conjunction with her half of the Nine Tails, but even that, wasn't enough to withstand Hashirama's assault. The First Hokage was quickly pushing her back with his Wood Style.
Sasuke was fairing just as poorly against Madara. His skill with the Sharingan was vast, but against Madara, he may as well have been a child fighting a full grown adult. It wasn't looking good.
Outside of the all the fighting, Ramira stood watching it all happen. She kept to herself, no doubt taking the down time to determine what had happened to her Kamui technique.
Riley heard a helicopter begin to rise from within the nearby fortress and glanced over. Within she could sense the power of Ramira's child, though Fleur had remained behind for some reason. If Riley had to guess, it was to try and help Ramira, which earned a sigh from the demoness.
As the child was flown to safety, a loud roar filled the air. A squadron of fighter jets fell out of the sky, and unleashed a torrent of missiles upon one of the giant toads. The large blue one was peppered by the missile barrage, letting out a cry of pain as the fire washed over him.
He quickly leaped free of the inferno, landing several blocks away, heavily burned and sporting heavy injuries from where the missiles struck.
This was exactly the moment that Riley had been waiting for, as two of the Tailed Beasts, the One and Four Tails, rushed one of the other frogs, and overwhelmed it. The giant purple from was washed over by a wave of sand and the Four Tails leaped into the air prepared to deliver a mountain crushing fist slam onto the toad's trapped body. Had it not been for the Fourth Hokage appearing and teleporting the frog to safety, it would have most likely been killed, as when the Four Tails landed and delivered the strike, a blast of fire shot out from it's fists, washing over a half mile of area, burning buildings and streets.
Back with Naruko and Sasuke, Naruko herself was attempting to fight the First Hokage in a Tailed Beast state. The towering golden form of the Nine Tailed Fox was fighting with all it's might to overcome a massive assault of tree branches that were encircling it and trying to pin the mighty beast.
Nearby, Sasuke was utilizing Susano'o as was Madara. Madara's Susano'o grabbed Sasuke's and tossed it across the city, causing it to land far off into the distance.
"Well this is an ass-kicking if I've ever seen one." Kurama noted.
"Yeah, no shit. Those two were not at all ready to face such powerful foes alone. Perhaps together they could put up a fight against Hashirama, or Madara. But alone, no chance. Hell I doubt my Naruko and Sasuke, could solo fight Hashirama or Madara. Keep in mind, I'm talking at their best. My Naruko has the Rinnegan, and Asura's power, against Hashirama and his Sage Arts, while Sasuke would have the Rinne-Sharingan in one of his eyes, as well as Indra's power, against Madara with the Rinnegan. Even with all of their powers, I'd say fifty-fifty at best that either one of them, could solo either of my grandfathers. At least not yet. Maybe in two or three years, once they've mastered their new powers, and had time to grow, I'd give them much greater odds, but right now? I think fifty-fifty is generous. This time's Naruko and Sasuke are strong, but they're nowhere near Hashirama or Madara's level of skill, not even close." Riley responded, earning a hum of agreement from Kurama.
Right then, another missile barrage descended from the skies, this time hammering the giant slug, causing it to burst into thousands of smaller slugs that washed through the city, and moved to reform nearby.
Riley shook her head and let out a sigh, rising to her feet as she did.
"Gonna step in now?" Kurama inquired.
"Think I should wait?" Riley hummed in response as she cracked her neck.
"No, this is just painful to watch." Kurama offered, earning a snort of amusement from Riley.
Turning her gaze to the sky, Riley targeted the squadron of jets first. From her hand, she utilized the Ten-Finger Drilling Bullets technique to snipe the jets out of the sky, one at a time. Specifically she targeted the pilots.
One by onethe jets began falling out of the sky to crash all over the area. They were moving so slowly, and along such a predictable movement path that Riley had little issue with striking them, even at such a range.
Once the jets were dealt with, Riley targeted the Tailed Beasts. First was the Seven Tails.
The giant flying beetle dove from the sky, ramming into the body of the Eight Tails with it's horn, piercing the Ox's shoulder, and earning a shriek of pain, followed by a massive punch that sent the Seven Tails flying across the city to land relatively nearby.
As it recovered, Riley leaped into the air, and landed on a building overlooking the prone beast.
Bringing her hands together, Riley activated Sage Art: Gate of the Great God. From the sky a number of torii gates fell, pinning the Seven Tails to the ground. Riley then jumped near to the beast's head and met it's gaze, using her powers to shatter the illusion it was under, allowing the seal to fully calm the beast and keep it from moving.
With the Seven now dealt with, she took to the rooftops and raced towards the remaining Tailed Beasts, targeting one that was by itself, using divide and conquer to quick overcome them without the need to expend a lot of power at once.
This time she targeted the Five Tails, which stood off on it's own, after having attempted to charge at the giant red toad Gamabunta.
Appearing above the beast, Riley utilized Wind Style: Rasenshuriken, launching the shuriken-shaped cyclone into the Five-Tails' back, causing the beast to buckle in on itself, collapsing to the ground as the sphere of shredding wind expanded and overtook the beast.
Riley landed several hundred meters outside of the area of influence of the expanding sphere and prepared another jutsu. Despite how powerful the Rasenshuriken was, she knew it wouldn't be able to kill the Five Tails outright. She had weakened the beast, and left it open for a true killing move.
She quickly activate Wood Style: Wood Dragon Technique. The towering wooden dragon quickly shot into the air, arcing high into the sky.
As it rose into the sky, Riley reached out and place one hand onto the dragon's wooden body which still connected to the ground.
Through the wood, Riley channeled a technique that formed in the dragon's mouth.
Chidori: Lance. A technique that Riley had devised with Kakashi that she had later tried to teach to both him and Sasuke. Neither one had the raw chakra to manifest the technique as intended, and instead it was Sasuke who developed a more refined variant known as Chidori: Sharp Spear.
Both techniques had their uses. Sharp Spear acted as a ranged variant of the Chidori allowing Sasuke to hit targets further away by shaping the Chidori into a long blade of energy. Chidori: Lance was designed to also use Shape Transformation to generate a much sharper blade for piercing one's opponent. Whereas Sharp Spear greater a straight blade of energy, Lance created a long cone of energy, which is how it earned it's name.
Riley had learned to channel certain techniques through her tails, and later learned to channel them into certain technique like the Wood Dragon Jutsu. This, in-turn, granted these abilities far greater range. Wood Style: Wood Dragon Technique, and Chidori: Lance, were so effective, in Madara's opinion, that he decided to give the technique a name of it's own.
"Wood Style: All-Piercing Dragon of the Sky!" Riley declared as a large Chidori: Lance erupted from the dragon's mouth as it arced down towards the prone Five Tails at incredible speed.
The shrill cry of the Chidori pierced the air as the technique slammed into the Five Tails' back. A shriek of pain erupted from the Five Tails, as the dragon held it down, keeping the massive wound open, and filling the beast's body with lightning.
It used the lance to push deeper into the Five Tails' body until it's whole head was buried inside of it. Then, the Dragon exploded.
The massive explosion blew the Five Tails in half, killing the Dolphin-Horse outright. Riley watched as it's demonic energy dispersed, flowing into the ether, where she knew it would reform in a couple of weeks, and when it did, it would be completely free of Ramira's control.
Two down, five to go.
Riley turned her attention towards the nearest Tailed Beast, the Three Tails, and rushed towards it. By now, she had been noticed by most of the participants of this fight.
She knew that it would take a great deal of time and energy to destroy the giant turtle from the outside so she chose to attack it from within.
Using her speed, she closed the distance between her and it, and used her Intangibility to leap into it's body.
Riley found herself deep within the Three-Tails' guts, when she made herself tangible again. Organs and flesh were shoved aside as Riley appeared, no doubt causing the Three-Tails noticeable pain and discomfort.
She heard it begin moving, but before it could make an attempt to try and force her out, Riley began gathering power.
Once she had amassed enough for her needs, she unleashed Shinra Tensei.
On the outside, A stood upon the shoulder of the Eight-Tails. All three having watched Riley suddenly appear and jump into the body of the Three-Tails.
What they saw next was absolutely mind boggling. Blood and guts erupted from the soft points of the Three-Tails body. It's head blasted off, as did one of it's arms. A shower of blood and gore flooded the battlefield as it's pulverized insides were forced out of it's body via gravity.
Slowly, Riley floated up out of it's carcass and stood upon it's shell, drenched head to toe in demonic guts.
"That was unpleasant." Kurama noted.
"It worked didn't it?" Riley responded as she wiped some of the blood from her brow and turned her gaze towards the next nearest Tailed Beast. She found that it was the Eight Tails who was staring at her, dumbfounded.
She blinked at the towering beast before turning to the next nearest Beast which happened to be the One-Tails.
The One Tails saw her coming and began taking in a powerful breath to unleash a blast of wind at her.
It launched the wind blast at Riley, which she absorbed using the power of the Preta Path, she then retaliated with Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World.
The One-Tails was slow and heavy, relying on long range attacks, either through wind blasts, manipulating sand, or energy attacks. It rarely chose to engage in close ranged combat unless it was attempting to use the cursed seals on it's body to seal away a target.
Riley's knowledge of the Tailed Beasts, their abilities, and weaknesses allowed her to deal with them quickly and efficiently. It helped that while under the effects of Ramira's Genjutsu they weren't operating at peak capacity, and were limited by her commands and her knowledge of what they could do.
She had no doubt seen what was happening over here, but having no idea who Riley was, or what she was capable of, meant she had few avenues of countering her, other than sheer brute force.
The One-Tails brought up one of it's arms in an attempt to swipe her away, just as Riley released the Dust Release technique, sending a cube of life forward that quickly expanding around the body of the One-Tails. It grew and grew until it had fully encapsulated the Tailed Beast, and the moment it did, Riley activated it, causing Shukaku's entire body to be disassemble at a molecular level.
In an instant, the One-Tails was gone. Riley knew well enough that because the One-Tails was made of sand, it was very difficult to kill. It had no internal organs like some of the other Tailed Beast, so that made it near impossible to land a killing blow on it. Because of the One-Tails physical composition it had actually been killed only a scant few times throughout it's life. Only the Two-Tails had been killed less often for the same reason, and on that note. The remaining Tailed Beasts had gathered together. Ramira no doubt actively commanding them at this point.
All that remained was the Two, Four, and Six Tails. In unison, the three began simultaneously charging Bijuu Dama.
Their target, Riley.
Riley felt Gamabunta land near to her, and heard Minato start speaking though she payed him little mind.
"She intends to flatten the entire city. I can teleport one, maybe two of them at once, but I'll need help dealing with the third." Minato said to her as he hopped down from the toad's head and landed nearby.
"Send 'em away if you want, I'm unconcerned." Riley stated, glancing over her shoulder at the man.
"...But… Unconcerned…?" Minato responded, looking in her general direction. The bandages around his eyes signified that he had lost his sight at some point, though Riley knew he had access to Nature Energy through Sage Mode, and if he accessed those powers, he'd realize just how strong she truly was.
Right then, the Tailed Beasts fired their Bijuu Dama at her.
As these attacks rushed at her, Riley focused chakra into her tails, three of which extended out before her. They arched, and then swung out at the incoming attacks, sending the three Bijuu Bombs soaring high into the sky.
Bijuu Dama had incredible mass, and were difficult to redirect, but these ones were standard, basic, barely tapping into the majority of their caster's powers. Riley had learned from Kurama that because of how dense a Bijuu Dama was, it could actually be knocked off course before it exploded, if you could hit it hard enough. Having god-like physical strength meant that Riley fell into the category of 'strong enough'. The only way to avoid such redirection was to increase the mass of the attack, or by having it detonate before it reached the target.
The country shook as the three Tailed Beast Bombs exploded high in the morning sky, filling the air with three towering golden orbs.
"I don't believe it…" Gamabunta muttered, staring up at the burning orbs in the sky.
"How…? Such strength… it's impossible…" Minato muttered as he watched her advance.
As they stared after her, Riley quickly came up with a plan to deal with the remaining three Tailed Beasts.
She had vastly more power than them, but she didn't want to level the city in an overly long battle, the Four Tails would be the simplest to kill, as it had organs and an internal body structure. The Six-Tails was a bit harder, due to it's body being that of a slug, and the Two-Tails would be the most complex in dealing with, due to it being living fire, Hellfire at that.
Riley didn't want to permanently kill any of the three, so her soul-damaging sword was out, as was the use of Hellfire. She could seal them using Chibaku Tensei, though that would destroy the city entirely, so she'd have to remove them from the area first.
Overwhelming force was always an option… but again, she didn't want to destroy the entire city. Grouped together the three would be more difficult to kill as the others would get in the way as she tried to focus on one. Separating them again, would be the name of the game. Riley's best course of action was to seal them, one by one. The easiest way to accomplish that was through the use of Wood Style, and Sage Art: Gate of the Great God.
For just a brief moment she reactivated her Byakugan, and extended her gaze out towards Naruko and Sasuke to see how they were fairing. She didn't overly care if they lived or died, but she knew well enough that she'd be the one to have to deal with Hashirama and Madara if the two of them went down, so if they could stay alive and fighting for long enough for Riley to finish off the Tailed Beasts, than Minato, A, Killer Bee, and the Sannin could go and fight the two ancient warriors, while Riley focused on Ramira.
Neither one of the two was doing so well. Sasuke was on the defensive as Madara played with him. It seems Madara's personality wasn't wholly suppressed, like it was for Hashirama, whom fought more robotically against Naruko. Speaking of which, Naruko was being overwhelmed by Hashirama's Wood Golem Jutsu, she looked tired, and wouldn't last much longer. Hashirama had the ability to absorb chakra through his wood style creations, so fighting against a Jinchuriki was of no great issue for the man, as he'd simply draw upon their own massive reserves of power to keep him in the game. Against Hashirama, you wouldn't win a battle of attrition, even if you did have massive reserves of power.
Even under mind control, Hashirama still vastly outclassed Naruko, she wouldn't last much longer if she didn't have help.
"If you want your daughter and the Uchiha to survive this battle, you may want to go to their aid." Riley spoke up.
"You have a plan to deal with these three on your own?" Minato questioned her.
"I've beaten four out of the seven of them on my own already, and here you are still questioning me. Go save your daughter jackass…" Riley responded with an annoyed smirk.
Minato was quiet for a moment before nodding. He took in a breath and activate Sage Mode, when he did, he gasped in disbelief.
Riley's smirk grew as she recognized that he could finally sense the scale of her power. To Minato, it must have felt like staring into a planet sized abyss. A towering font of power beyond the scope of anything he could imagine.
"Wh-what are you?" Minato gasped.
"I'm what Ramira wishes she could be." Riley responded with a cruel chuckle, as she brought her hands together and began speeding through handsigns. "Wood Style: Deep Forest Emergence!"
From around and in front of Riley, a massive torrent of trees began rising from the ground. The eruption of trees rushed forward, washing over the landscape, and over the three Tailed Beasts, whom tried to escape but could remove themselves in time to escape the onslaught.
Once they were pinned in place, Riley began drawing in their chakra, using the Wood Style's ability to drain chakra, a technique taught to her originally by Madara whom had learned of it from copying Hashirama, and one which she later refined even further under Hashirama's tutelage.
As she drained their chakra she segregated it into three different areas, keeping it separated from herself. She intended to come up with a use for that power at a later date, for now though, she would weaken them a bit, and then seal them up.
Once the struggles of the three beasts began to lessen Riley activated Gate of the Great God, sealing each one in turn.
Minato was still gawking at her as she finished suppressing the three. As she finished she let out a sigh and created a Shadow Clone, that would continue to absorb their chakra. Using the power of the three she could perhaps enhance her familiars with it. Ideas started cropping up in her mind, but Riley squashed them for now, and instead turned her attention to Ramira who's focus was now completely on Riley.
Riley leaped into the air, and headed towards where her alter-ego stood waiting for her. She landed about twenty meters away from her, meeting her gaze for the first time.
Ramira's gaze was critical, and hard. Filled with malice, and devilish intent. With her Rinnegan she could clearly see the vile blackness of Riley's power, and the scope of it as well.
"What the hell are you?" Ramira questioned after a moment of silence.
"I'm you… from another world, another time." Riley answered back.
Ramira showed surprise at that, blinking several times before letting out a chuckle.
"Oh really? Well then, I have much to look forward too. Why are you here? Why are you helping these pathetic fools? What do you want?" Ramira inquired.
"My sword brought me here. It has the ability to take me to other timelines, other worlds. In each that it brings me to, it has a task for me, to learn something about myself by meeting different versions of me." Riley answered.
"I see. So you're here to learn some kind of lesson? Any particular reason you've chosen to ally with these insects?" Ramira asked.
"One of them asked me to kill you." Riley responded with a shrug, earning a chuckle from Ramira.
"That's all? One of them asked for your help, and you just gave it? No other reason? No deeper motivation?" Ramira continued with her questioning.
"Not really, no. If I hadn't run into this particular person, I would have sought you out, questioned you, maybe we would have fought, but at the end of the day, once I learned what I had to, I would have left. This isn't my world, and I frankly don't give two shits about what happens to it. Unfortunately for you, I ran into a very beautiful woman who made a rather impassioned plea for my help. Being the sucker that I am for beautiful women of this particular variety, I had no choice but to say yes. So here I am." Riley offered in explanation, earning an irritated smirk from Ramira.
"All just because some little bitch asked you to get involved? Just my fucking luck." Ramira growled through a hellish smirk.
"She just called Daphne a bitch…" Kurama hummed.
Riley blinked several times before taking in a breath. "Yep."
With that one word, Riley went on the offensive. Shooting forward, she rushed at Ramira, aiming a mountain crushing punch right at her head.
Ramira shot out of the way of it, moving quickly to avoid the incoming strike.
"Touch a nerve did I?" Ramira questioned.
"Seems like it." Riley responded, glancing over at her.
"Come now, surely we can work something out? I hold this world in the palm of my hand. You said it yourself, you don't care about this world, and the pretty little thing that talked you into this, well she's not the same person you hold so dear. Surely you want to get back to her. You need to learn something from me, fine. I'll tell you whatever you want, you can learn what you need too, and go home to your lovely friend." Ramira said to her, her tone laced with pleasantries, a type of cool conversation that made Riley feel almost at ease. Ramira spoke with direction, and purpose. She read the situation quickly, and efficiently. She had no idea who Riley was referring to, but knew well enough to gauge Riley's reaction and make a proper offering to try and avoid a battle.
Despite Ramira's bloodlust, she had just watched Riley overpower and defeat the Tailed Beasts. Ramira could no doubt see the scale of Riley's power due to her Rinnegan, so she knew well enough that Riley eclipsed her in strength.
Riley could tell that Ramira still had access to half of the Nine Tailed Fox's power, sealed within her, but even with that, she could probably tell that Riley still overpowered her.
"Sorry, I already gave my word. Anything I could possibly want from you, I can take by just killing you." Riley responded, causing Ramira's smirk to fall.
"And how do you intend to learn what you need to if you just kill me?" Ramira inquired.
"Oh Ramira… come on. I have eyes just like yours… surely you're smart enough to know the answer." Riley replied with a hellish smirk.
"You want my soul? Well then… come and try to take it!" Ramira snarled.
Riley tensed to move when suddenly an explosion appeared out of nowhere, right beside her, sending Riley flying through the air.
"Where in the hell…?!" Riley thought to herself as another explosion ripped out from the open air right next to her, redirecting her flight.
"You're the one who fucked with my Kamui dimension, aren't you?" Ramira questioned, with a smile that spoke of hellish intent.
"Oh… well… shit…" Riley realized where the explosions were coming from. Ramira couldn't place herself into Kamui but she could still use the ranged variant to open a portal into Kamui, and considering it was still being wracked with explosions, it gave Ramira the ability to essentially cause an explosion at the focal point of her vision.
"This one knows what she's doing." Kurama noted.
"Most definitely. If I give her the opportunity, she will try to kill me. I can't forget that she has the Rinnegan, she may not be as powerful as me, but she is still dangerous." Riley responded.
With a snarl, Riley unleashed a torrent of spells at Ramira. Ramira leaped away to another rooftop to avoid the incoming barrage of curses. As she landed she brought her hands together and sped through handsigns.
With a deep inhale, to followed through with an expulsion of fire that exploded outward, and spread wide, washing towards Riley.
Riley raced forward, using her Intangibility to pass through the flames. Ramira had the Rinnegan, meaning that her powers were touched by unique Sage energies, meaning unlike most magic on the Earth, Ramira's could actually harm Riley, or at least they had the capacity to do damage, now whether they were strong enough to hurt an Archdemon, that would be the deciding question.
Ramira saw Riley coming through the flames and quickly began to retreat. Ramira launched several spells at her, as she fell back.
Riley retaliated by launching another barrage of spells to intercept Ramira's attacks.
With a snarl, Ramira unleashed a torrent of Fiendfyre at Riley. The fire morphed into a dragon and rushed at her.
As the fire closed in, Riley activated Shinra Tensei, blasting away the flames with the power of gravity.
The moment the attack stopped, Ramira used Kamui to unleash an explosion mere inches from Riley's face.
Riley took the hit, but kept herself from being uprooted. She brought her hands together and quickly molded magic deep within her stomach, she then took in a deep breath and unleashed Water Style: Gunshot.
The blast of water shot at Ramira, whom quickly leaped away from it, allowing the attack to strike at the building she was standing on. The building couldn't withstand the force of the projectile and quickly collapsed.
As the two fought, Riley stuck to techniques she knew would be harder for Ramira to absorb with the Preta Path. Techniques that carried a lot of physical mass behind them could have their magic absorbed while still being a threat.
Water Style, and Earth Style techniques being two of note that could still be dangerous, even if the magic within them was absorbed. It didn't matter if you drank in all of the magic behind the attack, if you were still facing a one thousand pound ball of water rushing at you.
While Ramira seemed to recognize the threat of such attacks, and chose to avoid them, she also wasn't using them herself.
It dawned on Riley as they fought that Ramira had very little experience in dealing with Rinnegan users. Did that mean she never fought Pain? It definitely meant that she didn't trained with her reanimated grandfather. Ramira was powerful, and skilled, but there were noticeable gaps in her knowledge, from what Riley could tell. Perhaps she didn't have the strongest relationship with Madara, or perhaps she was arrogant and didn't believe she needed his teachings? Riley didn't know, but it was something she took note of.
As the fight raged on, Riley dissected everything she could about Ramira. The way she moved, the way she fought, the way she spoke. Everything that stood out to the demoness, and helped to paint a picture of who Ramira was. Learning to understand her counterpart was Riley's whole purpose her, at the end of the day.
Who was Ramira, and what made her and Riley so different?
Riley rushed at her, closing the distance on Ramira and engaging her in Taijutsu.
The two traded blows for several long moments. A flurry of strikes passing between them, each strike delivering incredible force. Ramira was skilled, her own unique Taijutsu style looked to be some evolution of the Uchiha Interceptor Style, the type of Taijutsu that had been developed by the Uchiha to incorporated the abilities of the Sharingan.
Ramira seemed to have developed her own modifications to the fighting style, enhancing it to suit her strengths.
As they struck one another, their magics intertwined, and flashed of Ramira's life passed into Riley's head. Madara had always taught Riley that battle was the truest form of expression, and that in the midst of an intense battle, two warriors could understand each other.
Under the sage, Riley learned even more. As she studied Ninshū Riley learned how memories were carried within magic, and that when engaged in an intense fight with another, that magic can connect to your own, allowing you to experience the thoughts and feelings of an opponent. Most of the time this process wasn't conscious. You didn't actually see their memories, or feel what they were feeling, but you'd develop an innate understanding of your opponent. It's almost like things would just click. You'd understand things about them that you couldn't before.
Because of her studied under the sage, Riley could access these inherent memories and feelings. With each traded blow, she could see fragments of Ramira's life, pieces of who she was. They were little more than flashes, and without context, they were difficult to understand, but with each one, and the feelings behind it, Riley's understanding of this woman grew.
Ramira swiftly delivered a heavy kick to Riley's chest, sending Riley sliding back. Ramira was quickly on her, drawing a short curved sword as she did.
Riley drew her Zanpakutō in response, and the two met in a blade clash.
They pressed against one another for several long moments locking gazes before finally breaking the deadlock and beginning to trade blows.
Loud clangs filled the air as they struck at one another, Ramira quickly noted the strange nature of Riley's sword, remembering how she had said it had been the source that had brought her here in the first place. She kept a close eye on the blade, and stuck to defensive and counter-offensive moves.
As the two continued to clash, Riley took in more and more of Ramira.
Images flashed in her mind. Moments from throughout the Dark Lady's life.
-Ramira's Memories-
Piece by piece, Riley began to understand her opponent. She saw a lonely child, with a very similar upbringing. Her parents neglected her, her sister bullied her, the people of the Hidden Leaf treated her like trash. Ramira's disposition grew darker, and more vile. She got into fights with other children who tried to pick on her, beating many of them to bloody pulps. This led to disciplinary action from Minato and Lily.
Spankings, and the removal of what few privileges Ramira did have, turned her even more bitter. In almost all cases, Ramira had been provoked, or was simply defending herself. Instead of warping into a victim she began to develop a certain type of outlook. This idea that there were no victims in the world, no innocents.
If Ramira had been innocent, and was still punished, than that must mean that no one was truly innocent, no one was free from torment or punishment. If she deserved it for doing nothing wrong, than than meant that anyone could deserve it for whatever reason.
Ramira was still harassed and bullied throughout her time in the Leaf and her disposition grew darker and darker. Madara's voice never manifested within her mind, instead it was the Nine Tailed Fox, that began speaking to her instead.
The fox itself, was different from the Kurama that Riley knew. Even being the dark half of the Nine Tails, the fox was far more malevolent than her Kurama was. Her Kurama was very much a force of destruction and devastation, an ill omen of terror and dread, but the fox itself wasn't actually all that evil. He was prideful and spiteful yes, but he preferred to be left alone, to relax and get some sleep. Ramira's Kurama was far more wicked, and malevolent, and it didn't take long for Riley to find out why.
The two shared a similar day of birth. The fox attacked, than Voldemort, and Voldemort was destroyed when he tried to kill Ramira, she activated her Rinnegan and threw the Killing Curse back at him. When he was destroyed, a fragment of him, leaped onto the nearest living thing in order to survive. For Riley it attached to her, and she was able to learn from it, and eventually just absorbed it when she became a full demon. For Ramira though, Voldemort's soul latched onto the Fox instead, and the malevolence of the Dark Lord filled the prideful demon with thoughts and feelings he'd never had before. The Fox became crueler, and manipulative, it became malevolent and developed wants and desires beyond freedom. It wanted to hurt people, and eventually chose Ramira as the Avatar of those wants.
So the Fox began whispering to Ramira, all the while parts of it's soul slowly leaked out and Ramira absorbed them. She began to evolve into a demon, just as Riley had, though instead of the Fox trying to stop this, it allowed it to continue, it's intention being to slowly posses Ramira over the years, becoming a new type of demon and transcending it's own limits.
To facilitate this change and prepare it's new vessel, this evil Kurama began to whisper in Ramira's mind, encouraging her to greater and greater acts of violence. Ramira kept getting into fights, and kept being punished for hurting other children. She trained constantly, even to the point of complete exhaustion, but her wounds always healed quickly, and the dark voice in her head continued to egg her on.
It came to a head when she was eleven, and a bully attempted to beat her. She fought back, beating him so savagely that he lost an eye in the process, and was left half-dead by the time Ramira realized what she was doing.
Seeing the boy in such a state she panicked, and that was when the Fox struck hard. Whispering into her mind about how she would be greatly punished for this, it filled her with panic. Once she was properly scared shitless, it began to whisper solutions, telling her that she needed to ensure that no one ever found out about this. She would need to keep the bully silent, for good.
Driven by fear of what would happen to her, and the dark voice in her head, Ramira took her first life at nine years old. She gut the boys throat, and watched him bleed to death. She then followed the fox's instructions on how to dispose of the body, and ensure no one found it. It even told her how to clean the area so that the shinobi wouldn't be able to determine that any foul play had been involved. The fox used Voldemort's knowledge to teach Ramira the right spells to get everything squared away.
When it was all said and done, Ramira waited with fear for her deed to be discovered, but it never was.
Days passed, as people began to search for the missing boy. Than weeks had gone by, no luck. Finally half a year had gone by and still no one had found hide nor hair of her first kill.
The boy was dead and gone and no one was the wiser.
With the realization that she was successful, Ramira came to two revelations. One was that the voice in her head knew what it was talking about, and that she should listen to it. And the second, was that the shinobi of Konoha were not as infallible as they appeared. They could be tricked, and if they could be tricked, then she could get away with whatever she wanted.
Her training at the academy went poorly, despite her skill far surpassing the other students, she was sabotages by students and teachers alike. Day in and day out, she suffered at the hands of the people around her and she grew more and more violent, and angry.
Finally her graduation came. Despite the best efforts of the teachers, she passed each of their tests. As much as they wanted too, they couldn't overlook the fact that she could easily accomplish any task they asked of her, so they just settled for giving her the lowest possible passing scores, and then shuffled her on her way.
She graduated and was placed on a team with kids that Riley didn't recognize under a jonin that Riley didn't know. Ramira worked with her team for a few short months, eventually getting to participate in the Chuunin exams. That was when she first met Orochimaru. His interest had originally been for Sasuke, but after encountering Ramira in the forest of death, the Snake Sannin took an interest in her, and marked her with his Cursed Mark.
Ramira survived the marking and even managed to master it's power on her own, eventually fully absorbing it's power into her, allowing her to use the corrupted strength without needing to use the Curse Mark itself.
During the finals of the Chuunin exams Orochimaru attacked the Hidden Leaf, and during the confusion, Ramira made her escape.
The Fox led her out of the Elemental Nations, and guided her to Britain, using Voldemort's memories to take her there.
She eventually found herself at Hogwarts, and snuck into the castle, finding her way to the Chamber of Secrets, where she encountered the Basilisk and tamed the beast using her growing demonic power.
From within the Chamber, Ramira studied magic. She would transform into students and wander the castle, stealing food and the like in order to survive.
Eventually she was found by Dumbledore, whom recognized her and knew who she was. He hadn't yet learned that she was hiding out in the Chamber of Secrets, nor had he even heard of her disappearance from Konoha. Ramira played the victim, earning the old man's sympathy. She fed him a story of horrible pain and suffering and how she didn't want to be a ninja, she didn't like hurting people, and how she didn't want to go back.
Being the kindly man that he was, Dumbledore believed her plea and took her in, pulling some strings to allow her to enroll in the school and he even offered to keep quiet about her being here since he knew how shinobi were with their runaways. He knew well enough that at best, she'd be forced to return to a life of violence and bloodshed, and at worst, she'd be killed for running away, and despite believing that Minato would never allow such a thing, Dumbledore didn't want blood on his hands, and so he kept quiet about her being there.
Once at Hogwarts, Ramira finally took the name Ramira. She had no last name to speak of, and so just went by Ramira. She was sorted into Ravenclaw and spent her time delving into magic and learning it's arts. She was an outcast, who made exactly zero friends while she was there, but that didn't bother her at all. She hated people, and hated dealing with them. Being ignored was what was best.
If that had been that, than Ramira probably would have disappeared into obscurity, but later that year, she ran into an old foe. The spirit of Voldemort, possessing the body of Ginny Weasely. The two met in the Chamber of Secrets when the old Dark Lord came to claim the beast.
The two fought, and when the battle was done, Ginny was dead, and Ramira now had the diary. When she gained possession of it, something strange happened. The fragment of Voldemort that had been bound to the Diary seeped into Ramira and fused with the other part of itself buried deep within the Nine Tails.
With another part of Voldemort's soul present, his influence over the Fox grew. The demon became more conniving, and more manipulative. It filled Ramira's head with more anger, and more twisted thoughts.
Eventually Ramira developed a reputation as a weirdo and an outcast and that drew in bullies, and like all the bullies before them, Ramira responded to them, violently.
She got in trouble a lot, but Dumbledore always brushed it aside as nothing more than an artifact of her shinobi heritage that she was struggling to overcome. He kept giving her chances, and that would eventually lead to his downfall.
Come Third Year, Ramira met Sirius Black.
For the first time in her life, she actually felt a connection with someone. Their meeting was short lived, as Black was forced on the run due to their inability to catch Peter Pettigrew, but he kept writing to Ramira, and she actually felt a bond with the man. It was the only positive bond she'd ever had in the world, and quickly became the only light in her dark life.
The Fox did not approve and tried to fill her with doubt, but she refused to listen. She was desperate for a connection, for someone to love her, for a parent to care for her. Sirius had said just the right words, at just the right time to shatter her defenses and touch at her heart.
The next year, the Triwizard Tournament came to Hogwarts, and Ramira met Fleur Delacour for the first time.
Their relationship started rocky with Fleur considering her little more than a child. Ramira was entered into the Tournament against her will and knowledge and was forced to participate, so that lowered Fleur's opinion of her even more. What didn't help matters at all was that Ramira was going through puberty and with her growing demonic power, she had that affecting her as well. Her attraction towards the Veela caused her to stare quite often, even when she didn't want too.
Come the second task of the Tournament and the champions were forced to rescue someone they held dear from a freezing lake. Ramira's chosen someone was quite literally the only person that she even talked too in the castle, one of the House Elves.
As she was swimming through the lake towards where the captives were being held by the merpeople, she encountered Fleur being attacked by grindylows. Fleur had lost consciousness from the attack and was in the midst of drowning when Ramira arrived. For a moment, Ramira was torn between helping Fleur because she was attracted to the Veela, or leaving her to drown because Fleur had been mean and dismissive of her.
The Fox would have normally encouraged the latter, but when Ramira got a look at Fleur's state, gasping and struggling for air, being swarmed by the vicious creatures, she felt herself react.
Using the Revulsion Jinx, she sent the creature swimming away, and quickly collected the Veela. She immediately pressed her lips to Fleur's granting her the kiss of life to attempt to force some of the water out of her lungs. As she pulled away she cast the Bubble-Head Charm around the Veela's head, granting her a supply of oxygen as she spat water out of her mouth.
Fleur seemed to have a unique reaction to Ramira's rescue, as something not intended had occurred during the kiss. Fleur had felt something, even through her panic. After several moments of coughing and gasping she finally regained her senses and when she did, found that she was still held in Ramira's arms.
She found herself staring into Ramira's eyes and before Ramira could really wonder what she was thinking, Fleur pushed forward and kissed her hard on the lips. The kiss lasted for several long moments and had the effect of bursting the Bubble-Head Charm around Fleur's head which she quickly recast as they separated.
After several moments Fleur offered her a bright smile, her arms encircling Ramira as she gently rested her forehead to Ramira's. Ramira didn't know what to make of her actions, the kiss, and now this, she did not get it at all. Her arousal was through the room, but even that could not overtake her sense of confusion as what was happening.
After several long moments, Ramira remembered the task still needed to be completed so she released Fleur from her grip and pulled away.
Ramira, who had been holding her breath this whole time, felt the effects of low oxygen start to set in, and quickly cast the Bubble-Head Charm. She took in several deep breaths of air, and then proceeded onward, noting as she went that had she not stopped to help Fleur, and grant her a resuscitate breath, she'd have probably managed this whole task in a single breath of air.
The rest of the task went by fine. They found the captives, Ramira rescued her House Elf companion, while Fleur rescued her sister. They proceeded to the surface and were awarded their points.
Ramira had little intention of hanging around, and quickly made to leave but she was stopped by Fleur.
Ramira turned to face the Veela and the two locked eyes once more. For several long moments they stared at each other before finally Fleur tried to speak. First she tried to say some words in French, but Ramira didn't understand them, so she tried in English but they came out in a stutter, the normally proud and regal Veela was acting shy, and timid, and Ramira didn't know why.
Finally Fleur just settled on saying thank you, and Ramira just nodded and headed off, thoroughly confused and annoyed with the day's events. She did enjoy that she got to kiss the beautiful Veela, but beyond that, the day itself was just an annoyance to her.
In the following days Fleur began to stalk Ramira, and when Ramira would stare, Fleur would stare back. Gone were her rude comments, and snide remarks about Ramira being a little girl. Instead she would now return Ramira's gazes with ones that were filled with longing, desire, arousal, and lust.
Fleur began targeting Ramira with her allure which further irritated the already sexually frustrated young woman.
This continued for well over a month with Fleur constantly hammering Ramira with her allure until finally Ramira couldn't take it anymore. She grew irate and stormed off to the nearest broom closet, in desperate need to find some release. She locked the door, and proceeded to masturbate, only to stop when she heard the door unlock and open. She could barely cover herself when Fleur came in, shutting and locking the door behind her. By the time she had done this Ramira had drawn her wand, and was halfway to hexing Fleur when Fleur held up her hands and unleashed her allure at full blast.
Ramira was mesmerized for several long moments as Fleur sauntered over to her. She offered Ramira a sexy smirk and then asked those words that would stick with her for the rest of her life, 'Are you thinking of me?'
Ramira was left in dumbfounded amazement as Fleur stripped down to nothing, right before her eyes. After undoing her hair ties, Fleur offered Ramira a deviant smirk, and began crossing the space between the two.
Ramira said nothing as Fleur brushed past her outstretched wand and pulled her into a kiss.
Ramira was left starstruck and even more confused, and she was left completely unprepared when Fleur whispered in her ear that she would 'help take care of that itch.' before dropping to her knees, her head vanishing beneath Ramira's skirt.
The skilled Veela brought out feelings in Ramira that she'd never known were there before. That moment was the start of their relationship, and for a few scant weeks, Ramira was head over heels for Fleur, and followed her everywhere.
The two had sex constantly, and openly appeared as a couple. Those of Fleur's classmates who spoke out against her dating the Hogwarts' champion were quickly silenced by Ramira, through threats, and even acts of violence.
Those few weeks with Fleur were some of the happiest times in Ramira's life. Then came the end of the Triwizard Tournament. Fleur was hurt during the task and left unconscious, which severely enraged Ramira. The perpetrator of the attack had been Victor Krum, under the effects of an Imperious Curse.
Ramira didn't know that at the time, and quite frankly didn't care afterward. She killed him outright in that field by taking off his head with a Cutting Curse, the act being witnessed by the other Hogwarts champion Cedric Diggory. Ramira had no ill will towards Cedric, as he had never done her any wrong, but the moment he saw what she had done to Krum, his life was over.
Knowing she had to hide what she'd done, she quickly assaulted Cedric, killing him in an instant with a kunai to the skull. Once he was dead, the Fox began to instruct her on how to make it all look like the two had killed each other during a dual.
She picked up Krum's wand and used it to cast a blasting curse that took off Cedric's head, hiding her involvement. She then took Cedric's wand and used it to cast a spell to make it look like he had taken off Krum's head.
Ramira then picked up Fleur's unconscious body and carried her to a safe place nearby where she sent up red sparks with her wand, and then proceeded onward to claim victory as the last woman standing.
She found the cup, which was a port-key, and was teleported to a graveyard where Pettigrew was waiting with Voldemort. He tried to use her surprise against her to capture her but that failed and she easily overpowered and killed the rat for what he'd done to Sirius, only afterwards realizing that she may have just damaged Sirius' chances at a retrial.
During her panic, she didn't notice the small baby-like bundle that was Voldemort writhing and cursing on the ground.
During her panic, the serpent Nagini snuck up on her and sank it's fangs into her leg.
Ramira was left poisoned and in a vulnerable state, but Voldemort was unable to do anything either. In her weakened state, the Fox took the opportunity to take over her body. Overcoming her senses and taking partial control over her. It quickly killed and absorbed Nagini and did the same with Voldemort, taking in more of the Dark Lord's power, though Voldemort's spirit fled away to one of his remaining Horcrux.
The Fox attempted to hold control over Ramira, pushing her further and further down, allowing Nagini's poison to tear away at the human parts of her, when suddenly Ramira reawakened the Rinnegan. In an explosion of power she activated those legendary eyes and through sheer force of will, pulled the Fox back down into it's cage and regained control over her body.
The act left her drained an exhausted. She passed out, and was left laying there in the abandoned cemetery for two days before she awoke.
Once awake she found her way back to Hogwarts, using the cup to take her back.
She arrived upon the field where the maze had once been and found it empty. Upon returning to the castle, she was greeted with dumbfounded looks of amazement.
She now sported the Rinnegan in her eyes, as well as a pissed off glare that she carried everywhere she went.
She was questioned about what had happened, and she told them about finding Fleur, sending up red sparks, finding the cup, being teleported to a graveyard, and then… nothing. She was out for a while and awoke next to the cup, and came back.
The authorities bought her story, having no reason to doubt her. They questioned her on her eyes, but she claimed ignorance.
After being freed, she spent the day down in the Chamber of Secrets confronting the Nine Tails.
Having gained greater emotion by fusing with Voldemort, the Fox was able to feel fear on a level it never had before. It was terrified of Ramira now that she sported the Rinnegan and she was none too pleased with it's attempt to possess her.
Ramira made sure that the beast understood that because of it's betrayal, their partnership was over. The demon worked for her now, and if it did anything without her consent, or if she found out that it had hidden anything from her, she would destroy it.
With the Fox properly cowed, Ramira met back up with Fleur and for a few more weeks, everything went well. The school mourned for Cedric and Krum, and investigation was launched and Ramira was questioned two more times about what happened in the maze, but all in all, everything carried on normally.
It was about a week before the two other schools were set to leave when Fleur and Ramira had 'the talk'. Fleur finally sat down and explained what had happened in regards to her sudden change of heart in regards to Ramira.
At first Ramira thought nothing of it, she liked Fleur and was happy with her. Whatever her reasons, they were together now, so it didn't matter.
Fleur seemed elated by Ramira's response, so elated in fact that she didn't notice how Ramira's attitude darkened when Fleur explained the Veela Mate Bond, and how Ramira was her soul mate.
See what Fleur said was that because of the Mate Bond, Ramira was perfect for her, and she would love Ramira no matter what. What Ramira heard though was that it wasn't even a choice. It didn't matter what Fleur wanted, or how Fleur saw Ramira, because of this bond she would love her regardless.
In that moment, Ramira's feelings for Fleur collapsed. In her mind, Fleur only cared about her because of this bond. She only liked Ramira because of this bond. Ramira could vividly recall how dismissive Fleur was of her before the second task of the Tournament.
In Ramira's mind, Fleur didn't like her. She didn't love Ramira for who she was, she didn't even care who Ramira was. It was all this bond. If Fleur was just going to love her regardless of who she was, than what was the point of it all? What did their feelings mean if Ramira could do or be anyone and Fleur would love her all the same. That didn't make their love special.
In that moment Ramira felt her anger rise, and she decided to test her theory. If what Fleur was saying was true, than she'd love Ramira no matter what she did.
She hid it well but Ramira was absolutely heartbroken. Fleur had been the person she'd shared the strongest of bonds with, the one person who was the closest to Ramira and now it seemed like all of it was bullshit. Fleur didn't need to understand Ramira, she didn't need to like who Ramira was, because of the Veela bond, Fleur would be head over heels for her no matter what. That was pointless in Ramira's eyes. What was love if not an acceptance of another person for who they were? If it didn't matter at all what Ramira was, that Fleur would love her regardless, than did that mean their love was equally as basic and instinctual?
Deciding to test her theory, she hardened her heart, and spoke up.
She just began talking, interrupting Fleur and telling her how she had found Fleur in the maze, unconscious with Krum standing over her. She explained in detail how she killed in retaliation for hurting her. How Cedric had seen her do it, so she killed him too.
Fleur was left stunned by this. She stared at her in disbelief for several long seconds as Ramira waiting for her response.
For the first time in her life, Ramira wanted revulsion, she wanted Fleur to pull away, to panic, and be afraid. Fleur was the daughter of the head of the DMLE in France, her father was the chief law enforcement official, she should have an ideal for law and justice that was staunch and strong.
Ramira wanted her to react like a normal person, because that would mean that Fleur was wrong, and it would also mean in Ramira's mind, that their love was real.
Silence filled the room, and for several long seconds there was nothing.
"You killed for me…?" Fleur finally stated, and like that, Ramira dropped her head as tears built in her eyes.
Fleur wrapped her arms around her, holding her tightly to try and comfort her.
"You did something terrible, but it was an accident right? I mean with Cedric… you panicked and tried to cover up what you had done? We can call my father, talk to him, he'll know what to do. Surely you people will understand, it was a high risk situation and the champions were allowed to fight. Deaths happen…" Fleur said to her, rationalizing the situation.
Ramira felt her anger growing. Slowly she pulled out of Fleur's embrace and locked eyes with her.
For several long seconds they just stared at one another when suddenly Ramira pushed Fleur down onto the ground and ripped at her clothes.
In a final desperate act to get something out of Fleur, some sort of revulsion, some sort of anger, something that could convince Ramira that this wasn't all just a biological imperative, she pinned the Veela to the ground and summoned several Shadow Clones. She then proceeded to assault her girlfriend for nearly an hour.
By it's end, Fleur was in a poor state, as Ramira had slapped her, strangled her, scratched her, all in a desperate attempt to earn the Veela's wrath. Ramira lay on her back, staring up at the ceiling, taking in deep breaths, as what she had just done filled her mind.
Right or wrong, she had just raped her girlfriend. Whatever they had, had was over now.
The thought brought a cold chill through Ramira's body, and tears began to well in her eyes.
She began to hyperventilate when she suddenly felt movement, and froze. Fleur climbed over her, her hand coming up to cradle Ramira's cheek.
"You're in pain, my love…" Fleur muttered, her words coming from bruised swollen lips.
Ramira was horrified. As Fleur settled into her side, wrapping her arms around her as she did, Ramira realized that just short of killing her, there really wasn't anything she could do to break Fleur of this effects of the Veela Bond.
Silence filled the room for several long moments as Ramira lay there, feeling colder than she ever had.
Finally she spoke, almost robotically. "Don't tell your father what I did. Don't tell anyone."
"Why not? He could help you, I know you're afraid…" Fleur began to respond.
"I'm not afraid. Don't tell anyone!" Ramira commanded, reaching down to take Fleur by the throat, grasping at her firmly but now hard enough to choke her. The action was domineering and aggressive, but Fleur didn't flee from it. Visible signs of fear flashed across her face as she was forced to lock eyes with Ramira, but did not attempt to pull away or retreat.
"Okay…" Fleur responded. Several quiet seconds went by as Fleur took read of the situation, and finally asked, "Do you want to keep going?"
Ramira was quiet for a moment before letting out a sign and nodding.
"Would you like to keep doing what we were doing before or…" Fleur began to ask but Ramira interrupted.
"Just fuck me until I can't walk."
Fleur smiled and descended down her body, trailing kisses as she did.
The sex that followed was enjoyable, but devoid of anything that had made it special to Ramira.
From that day forward Ramira no longer considered Fleur her girlfriend or partner. Fleur had become like a pet, or a slave. She existed to fulfill Ramira's sexual needs, and nothing more. Fleur never seemed to mind, she was happy to be with her mate.
Fifth year was hell, as Voldemort found a way to return and Ramira was forced into dealing with it. The year ended with the death of Sirius Black, the only other person in the world that Ramira held in high regard. With his death, she'd lost all emotional attachment in this world.
In sixth year Dumbledore was nearly killed, though out of respect for the headmaster and what he'd tried to do for her, Ramira intervened and killed Snape and Draco Malfoy. Dumbledore was horrified and tried to explain to her that he was a dead man already, revealing the curse on his hand. As a final gift to the headmaster, Ramira used the powers of the Rinnegan to remove the curse from his hand and devour it. Afterwards she left the school and went hunting for Voldemort.
During her travels she was alerted that Leaf Shinobi had arrived in the country, summoned there by Dumbledore to fight Voldemort.
Before they could intervene, Ramira found the Dark Lord and fought him.
By now she was very nearly fully turned into a demon, and due to the influence of the Fox, Voldemort's Soul shards, and Orochimaru's power, her own disposition had grown incredibly malevolent.
She easily overwhelmed him, and slaughter most of his Death Eaters. After the battle was over, and another fragment of Voldemort absorbed, she used his memories to hunt down the remaining Horcrux and absorb them as well, allowing her to fully consume the Dark Lord, and all of his knowledge and power.
Not long after acquiring the last piece of Voldemort's soul, she was located and confronted by Minato himself, who could clearly see that something was very wrong with her.
They fought, and Minato managed to pull out a victory, taking out one of Ramira's eyes in the process.
She was then taken to the Hidden Leaf, where they proceeded to try and extract Voldemort's soul from her body, which ultimately failed, so they set about trying to seal it.
This process took several days, and during that time she was forced to endure being berated by Naruko time and time again, as well as Minato, Lily, the Sannin, but eventually, she was visited by someone new.
Danzo.
The leader of ANBU root was quick to offer her pleasantries and try to convince her to work with him. He made her an offer, that he could help her escape if she would work with him.
She accepted that offer, and he kept to his word, though instead of escaping outright she snuck into her former home and murdered her mother Lily. While she was there, she stole the Forbidden Scroll of Sealing. Once that was done, she headed for the escape point but was intercepted by Kakashi Hatake who had noticed her sneaking through the city.
The two fought, but it didn't last long. Ramira was a lot stronger than most people expected, and it wasn't common knowledge that she had put up an incredible fight against the Fourth Hokage before he had captured her.
Kakashi was killed, but before leaving, Ramira stole his Sharingan eye and implanted it into her now empty socket.
Once outside of the village, Ramira slaughtered Danzo's agents who were waiting for her, and disappeared into the Land of Fire.
A year later, she was discovered and recruited by the Akatsuki. From within the organization, Ramira plotted to bring it down, to kill the members and steal their powers.
She personally killed four of them, over the course of the next few years. Deidara, Konan, Zetsu, and Kisame all fell to her, but the most impactful death came from Itachi. She confronted the Uchiha during his battle against his younger brother. Both were drained and exhausted and Ramira took the opportunity to swoop in and murder Itachi while he was weakened.
Before she could steal his Sharingan or murder Sasuke, she was stopped by Obito. It was from Obito that Ramira learned that she was an Uchiha, though he didn't know how. He knew this because she possessed the Rinnegan naturally and it could only awaken in a person with both Uchiha and Senju genetics.
Knowing of the clan's propensity for violence and admiring the hell out of Madara Uchiha despite not knowing he was her grandfather, Ramira took the last name Uchiha, and remained on as Obito's right hand woman for a short time.
Her allegiance with Obito ended however, when she learned that the Kamui dimension that she possessed in her stolen Sharingan tied into his, this coincided with her learning of Obito's identity.
So Ramira summoned the Basilisk she had tamed years earlier, sent it into Kamui than went and fought Obito. He was bitten, and despite his enhanced healing, the venom of the King of the Serpents weakened him enough that Ramira was able to take his head. She then removed his Sharingan and used the powers of the Rinnegan to fuse the two eyes together, forcing it to evolve into a pseudo Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.
She then systematically dealt with the remaining Akatsuki members, namely Kisame and Zetsu.
With Obito dead, Ramira came into possession of the statue, though she had no intentions of initializing the Eye of the Moon plan, and instead drew out the captured Tailed Beasts and placed them under her control, and them stored them away for use.
Once that was done she went to Kirigakure and used the Tailed Beasts to outright annihilate the village from existence. She then did the same to Sunagakure, killing the Kazekage Gaara as she did.
Then it was Iwa, then Kumo, and finally Konoha. Ramira didn't care for complete annihilation, her goal was actually to trigger a new warring states period in the Elemental Nations. By destroying the Hidden Villages, the focal points of power, shinobi everywhere would branch off on their own and begin fighting for their own purposes, causing the entire continent to descend into anarchy.
A fitting revenge against the people who lived here.
Before destroying Konoha, she approached Danzo and made the man an offer. She'd allow him and his ROOT Anbu to serve her, and together they could rebuild a better world, all he had to do was have his ROOT kill the barrier squad within the village leaving it open to attack.
After some convincing, Danzo agreed, and by the fall of night, the following day, Konoha's barrier fell, and Ramira summoned all seven of the Tailed Beasts she currently had under her control.
During the battle she faced the Fourth Hokage again, this time she took his eyes during the fighting, but was prevented from killing him by the arrival of Naruko and her recent mastery over Bijuu Mode.
They fought, and Ramira was forced to retreat, but the damage had been done, Konoha was completely destroyed.
From there, Ramira left the Elemental Nations and returned to Britain, there she gathered up the remnants of the Death Eaters, as well as the witches and wizards that followed the path of darkness and used them, along with the ROOT ANBU to form an army of her very own.
England fell first, with Ramira slaughtering parliament and the royal family. She then attacked the surrounding nations, even butchering Fleur's father and mother during her attack on Paris.
When she saw Fleur again, Fleur seemed devastated and heartbroken, but after a very short conversation in regards to Ramira's plans, Fleur forgave her for her parents' death, rationalizing that they had stood against Ramira, and if they had just chosen to submit, than they wouldn't have died.
Despite her disgust, Ramira took Fleur back in. Evan after all these years, she still saw Fleur as an outlet for her sexual frustrations.
Quickly, the world fell to Ramira, her cruelty and malice washed across the world. She had no morals, she had no sense of justice, or righteousness. Ramira was evil, and she knew she was evil. The world wasn't a place of justice or fairness, in all her life she had learned that there was no such thing as innocence. It was a made up concept, and that was it. People didn't deserve mercy, they didn't deserve anything, as far as she was concerned. They were insects, and she was a mighty god. The world was her plaything, and she could twist it, and torment it to her hearts content. Who was left to stop her?
- End-
All of these memories played out over the course of the battle, with Riley learning about her opponent as they fought.
"Seems she had a much worse life than you. Didn't have Madara there to keep her company, never met Shisui and Itachi, became consumed by darkness over the course of her life, turning her outlook sour." Kurama noted.
"Yeah… she saw the world as a meaningless place. It all just a game to her. She can't see any beauty in anything. She's become a creature of pure selfish desires. Almost a reactionary force, that does what it feels like doing in the moment." Riley responded, as she drove a kick hard into Ramira's chest sending her flying back.
"Without a parent or a role model to guide her, she was left to form her own conclusions about the world. Just look at the difference between her relationship with Fleur and yours. You take joy in knowing that you'll always have Fleur, that your love is pure and unhindered by anything. You give the love meaning by choice, it doesn't matter how it exists, it's meaning is what you make of it. All Ramira sees is where it stems from, and she can't get over that. She doesn't realize that the Mate Bond is a foundational force, but it doesn't have to be all that exists. If she gave Fleur a chance, she could have learned to fall in love with her, she could have found things that strengthened the bond and made it more real, hell she probably already did during the early parts of their relationship, but Ramira can't see that. She doesn't get it, doesn't understand how things work. She's just a child, who only seeks to fulfill her momentary wants. She controls the world not because she wants to build things, but because she wants to play with it, manipulate it." Kurama expressed.
"Her life could have been filled with passion, and love, and pleasure. She could have formed an unbreakable bond with Fleur, one that would hold through anything and everything. Instead, all she has is a desperate Veela that she holds at arms length. You're right about her, she's just a little girl, trapped in a woman's body. She does what she feels in the moment, and that's it. She fights because it makes her feel powerful, and gives her power over others, but beyond that, she's just a child." Riley agreed with the Fox.
"Come on, I thought you wanted to kill me. You're gonna have to step it up, if you ever home to achieve that!" Ramira snarled as she raced at Riley. In response, Riley dodged her strike and retaliated with a strike to the chest that knocked the wind out of Ramira and sent her careening away.
Riley heard bones cracking back into place as Ramira sucked in gasps of air. Riley's strike having broken her ribs and cracked her sternum.
Her eyes shot to Riley, panic flashing in them for a moment. As Riley approached, she felt two powers appear at her side, blocking the strikes she was met by Hashirama and Madara.
Riley held them in her grasp as she contemplated their arrival.
"Looks like a I ran out of time. That or Ramira called them back. Gotta deal with them quickly." Riley thought to herself.
"Let's see how well you fair now!" Ramira snarled.
Before either titan could launch an attack, Riley release a Truth-Seeking Orb from her back. At lightning fast speeds, the orbs shot out, and at point blank range, and being held by Riley, neither one could dodge as the orbs lodged themselves into their torsos and expanded.
The speed of the attack left either man as little more than a head, arms, and legs. If it wasn't for the fact that these were her beloved grandfathers, Riley would have found the scene hilarious. The two monstrously powerful titans turned into a pile of limbs.
"That was unexpected." Madara's disembodied head stated, earning laughter from Riley.
Ramira found no amusement in this, in fact she was horrified. Neither of the reanimations were repairing themselves like they were meant to. Her secret, indestructible weapons, were now useful, and she didn't know why.
Riley turned a cheeky smirk down to Madara's head, earning a glare in response which only served to make her laugh again. By this point Ramira had finished healing and had risen to her feet.
"You've been playing with me… all this time." Ramira stated, almost like some kind of realization.
"In my world I fought the Ten-Tails, and absorbed it. I have the Nine-Tails Sealed inside of me as well, the full Nine-Tails. I've been trained since I was old enough to walk by this man here, and later this one. You're powerful, Ramira Uchiha, very powerful, but you're not skilled. You're clever, you win fights before you get to them. I'm sure you have access to Bijuu Mode, just like Naruko. So do I… I have more power than you can possibly fathom, and I know you, I understand you now, I can see who you are, and because of that, I know how to beat you." Riley responded to her.
"You know who I am? You think you understand me?! I haven't said a damn word to you! How could you possibly know thing one about me!?" Ramira snapped at her.
"Ninshū." Riley responded.
"Ninshū? What the hell is that?" Ramira questioned.
"It's not worth explaining it to you. All you need to know is that it allows me to read you, to understand you, to see your past and your memories. The more time I spend with you, the clearer the story becomes. It starts with all the major events, the clearest most impactful memories, and then it expands outward, to less and less important facets until I have the whole picture. I've seen your most important memories, I know the events that had the greatest impact on you." Riley responded to her, earning a degree of panic, and surprise from Ramira.
"You can just do that?! Read peoples minds and histories like that?! That's complete bullshit!" Ramira snapped at her.
"That's not how it works. I can only read what you give me. When we fight, energy is released, if I take that energy in, if I accept it, I can connect to you, and begin reading you. The more I take in, the clearer the connection gets, the clearer the picture becomes. If we continued to fight on, I'd see more of your life, events that are less significant until I start finding things that not even you remember. In time I could know you better than you know yourself. That is the power of Ninshū." Riley said to her.
"True, though she doesn't know that the connection is supposed to work both ways. If Ramira knew how to take in and understand the thoughts and feelings of her opponent, she could, in time, also understand you that well." Kurama noted.
"Yeah, but she doesn't have to know that." Riley responded.
Ramira stared at her with fury in her eyes for several long moments before suddenly activating Bijuu Mode.
"If you want my life, than come and take it! I wont go meekly off to die like some lamb to the slaughter. If you wish to extinguish my fire, than come and try!" Ramira snarled as she vanished in a burst of speed.
Riley took in a breath at that, she was beginning to understand just what made her and Ramira so different, yet she was actively stopping herself from taking it all the way. Ralael usually appeared not long after Riley came to the full realization of what she was meant to learn, and she didn't want to get whisked away from here before she could fulfill her promise.
Taking down Ramira in Bijuu Mode would be a trying process that would take time if Riley didn't go all out.
Turning her gaze, she spotted Ramira as she leaped into the air and formed a golden Avatar of the Nine Tails around herself, she then activated Susano'o triggering the Majestic Attire: Susano'o.
"That is quite some power you've got there. To bad it's all bound up in such a selfish bitch." Riley thought to herself as she brought her hands together and sped through handsigns.
"Sage Art: Wood Style: Shinsu Senju, Veritable One-Thousand-Armed Kan'on!" Riley declared as a towering wooden structure began to rise up out from beneath her feet.
The monolithic construct towered over the battlefield, dwarfing even Ramira's Nine Tails form covered in Susano'o. It was a massive wooden statue, armed with over a thousand arms, that could extend to strike at an opponent. This was Hashirama's most destructive Wood Style technique, and this would be the first time Riley had employed it, outside of Kamui.
They were currently on the edges of the city, though the city was at Riley's back, so if she was going to try and avoid destroying it with an overpowered attack, now was the time to do it.
Ramira stared up at her with cold fury in her eyes, and Riley stared back with murderous intent.
"Come Ramira, let's end this." Riley said to her.
"You seek to end my life, and haven't even offered me your name yet! How rude!" Ramira snapped in response.
"I am Riley Narumi Slytherin Ravenclaw Gryffindor Uzumaki Uchiwa Senju Black, and I will be your end." Riley declared.
"Your name is absurd." Ramira muttered.
Riley stared down at her for a moment, and then shrugged. She then activated her technique, causing the arms to rapidly extend. Ramira chose that moment to charge, the fox drawing it's swords as she did.
The fox began slashing at the incoming fists, cutting through swaths of them, but it wasn't enough. From all directions this attack came, swarming around the Fox from every angle. Soon blows began to land, with enough force to release world shaking energy, and soon hundreds of strikes were landing.
In an instant, the area lit up with a world shaking explosion. The force of the blast was huge and for a moment, Ramira and the fox disappeared within it.
Suddenly, the golden form of the fox leaped free of the explosion, the armor of Susano'o having been stripped away.
Within the evil fox's mouth a Bijuu Dama was charging. It fired the Tailed Beast Bomb right at Riley's position atop the towering statue. Riley had the statue raise a hand to block the incoming strike, and as she did, she caught sight of a tiny light shooting up in the sky. It was barely noticeable, but she was able to spot it.
Seeing it shoot high into the sky over Riley's head, she knew exactly what it was.
"Chibaku Tensei!" Ramira snarled right as the Bijuu Dama struck the statue's hand and exploded.
Riley was shielded from the blast, but instantly felt the world shake around her. She felt the tug of gravity begin pulling her into the sky, and soon the statue was rising with her, as well as the ground beneath it.
Buildings and homes quickly joined the devastation as several square miles of land ripped free from the ground and began rising up into the sky.
Riley floated higher and higher, slowly approaching the rapidly growing mass of rock.
Turning her gaze up to it she knew she'd have to destroy the gravity well at it's core in order to stop the technique.
Deciding to bust out one of her lesser used techniques, Riley held out her hand, and four of her tails. From her hand a massive Rasenshuriken formed, and from each of her tails a standard sized Rasenshuriken was created.
The four smaller shuriken began rotating around the larger one, and with a toss, Riley sent the larger one flying up towards the forming earthen satellite.
This technique was the Planetary Rasenshuriken. Where the normal Rasenshuriken would unleash a torrent of wind blades that could slide through individuals at a molecular level, the Planetary Rasenshuriken basically amped that up to a hundred. When it struck the technique unleashed a blast of wind blades that shot forward and outward from where the attack struck, blasting everything in front of the attack with a wall of microscopic blades.
Essentially, any target hit by this technique would feel a hundred billion blades of wind shoot straight through his or her body, leaving them to essentially explode into a shower of paste.
Against the forming planetoid, when it struck, it wouldn't leave anything left of it larger than a grain of sand.
Mere moments after the attack struck, Riley felt the pull of gravity fade, and she began falling back down to the earth.
The blast of wind vaporized the satellite in an instant, and just as Riley had intended, left nothing of noticeable size remaining.
This was a technique Riley also hadn't used outside of Kamui for the sole reason that it had a huge range, and was thus open to a vast amount of collateral damage. An area, miles long would be devastated by the blast of wind, so it was difficult to use it outside of her pocket dimension. Hitting targets in the sky, that was perfectly alright.
Turning her attention back to the ground, she met Ramira's gaze. Her alternate self stared up at her with disbelief and fear.
Deciding that now was the perfect time to finish this, Riley stopped her decent and activated her Byakugan. Targeting the pressure points on Ramira's body, Riley's hair elongated and parts began breaking off, launching at Ramira like a sea of needles.
These needles rushed forward at incredible speeds, and pierced straight through the fox's body and into Ramira's.
For the briefest of moments, she was stunned, the needles having struck into pressure points, effectively paralyzing her. The demonic energy within her began to expel the hair needles, but it kept Ramira from moving long enough for Riley to deliver the finishing blow.
Drawing forth a Black Chakra Receiver Riley marked it with the Hiraishin Seal and then launched it at Ramira, being unable to move, the spear struck true, piercing Ramira through the lung and knocking the wind out of her.
Riley then extended nine of her ten tails, the tentacles on the end unfurled and from within them, additional Black Chakra Receivers emerged. Riley then drew readied her sword and activated the Hiraishin and performed the Flying Thunder God Slash.
In an instant she appeared before Ramira, driving in nine additional Chakra Receivers targeted specifically at her Tenketsu points, while simultaneously delivering a lethal slash across her chest.
Blood erupted from Ramira's mouth as she fell back in stunned disbelief.
Riley let out a sigh and stood over Ramira, knowing full and well that the battle was over.
Ramira was unable to speak, her lungs having been pierced by one of the Receivers and Riley's slash. She was quickly drowning in her own blood.
Riley heard footsteps nearby and quickly identified them as Minato and Naruko. Minato was helping Naruko to walk as they approached, no doubt having watched the battle from a distance and seen that it was over.
Soon Sasuke, arrived, looking beaten half to hell, but still standing. A then showed up with the Sannin and Killer Bee.
"It's finished." Minato declared sadly.
"Not yet, she's still breathing." A declared.
"If you don't have the guts to finish her off than I will." Sasuke declared, advancing forward, Riley sent him a glance, and allowed some of her Killing Intent to leak out. Sasuke froze for an instant, his eyes widening in fear.
"Why are prolonging this?" Naruko questioned.
"Someone needs to say goodbye." Riley responded as she turned her gaze up towards the sky. There, high up upon a broomstick was Fleur who'd been watching as the fight carried on.
Focusing on her, Riley spoke into her mind. "Your mate is dying. Come and say goodbye."
Quickly, Fleur descended to the ground and raced over. When she was close enough to see the state Ramira was in, she let out a cry of anguish.
She was quickly by Ramira's side, tears flowing down her face. Ramira's eyes slowly drifted towards her, though she couldn't say anything. Fleur met her gaze, and let out another cry of pain and sorrow. Slowly she sank to the ground beside her dying mate, almost as if she was attempting to cuddle with her beloved, one last time. Her arms encircled Ramira's head, and Fleur gently pressed her head to Ramira's.
"Please! Please! I don't want you to go my love! Please! Don't go! Please!" Fleur cried, begging her beloved not to leave her.
Riley stood silently, watching the exchange, Fleur's anguished cries, tearing at her heartstrings.
Around her, the rebels stared on apathetically. The only ones who felt any sympathy for Fleur's loss was Minato, Naruko, and Killer Bee.
Ramira could do nothing but stare at Fleur as she wept and begged, after several long moments her eyes drifted back to Riley, and when their gazes met, Riley invaded her mindscape to speak with her alter self, one more time.
-Ramira's Mindscape-
"Looks like you accomplished your goal." Ramira noted, as she stood before Riley.
"I did. And now I'll go home, and the first thing I'm going to do is hold my Fleur and love on her until I can't remember the sound of these screams." Riley responded.
"You and her are a thing in your timeline? Even knowing that her love isn't real?" Ramira questioned.
"It is real. Love isn't the same between people. It's personal, unique. What I feel for one lover, isn't what I feel for another. All that matters is that I know it's love. Fleur may love me instinctively, but we give that love our own meaning." Riley said to her.
"What does that even mean?" Ramira asked.
"It means what it means. That's for you to understand." Riley responded.
"Well I'm dead now, so that doesn't leave room for a whole lot of soul searching." Ramira noted, bitterly.
"I'm aware. I made Daphne a promise that I'd kill Ramira Uchiha, and I did. Ramira will die today. But today doesn't have to end." Riley said to her with a smirk.
Ramira could only stare at her in confusion as she disappeared from her mindscape.
-On the outside-
Riley let out a light chuckle and began to rise into the sky, earning looks of surprise from those around her.
"Riley! Where are you going?" Riley heard a shout from Daphne, as she and several other arrived on broomsticks.
"To grant you a world of peace and happiness, for as long as it lasts." Riley responded. Riley rose high into the sky, her third eye opening as she did. Her gaze eventually settled on the moon that hung high in the morning sky.
"Going big on this one, you sure about this?" Kurama inquired.
"This world has been ravaged by Ramira. With her death, a power vacuum will form and wars will range endlessly for generations. These people have known nothing but suffering for years, I'm just showing them a better way, and hopefully, it'll restore some hope." Riley responded.
With the moon in her sights, Riley activated Infinite Tsukuyomi. The pattern of the Rinne Sharingan reflected off the moon, and suddenly the moon began glowing. A piercing white light began radiating off the moon and it quickly washed over the entire planet.
Without the presence of the God Tree to consume these people, they'd be safe while they dreamed. Riley had no intention of keeping them trapped forever. This technique would only last a few short hours in the real world, but within the dream they were no all sharing, they would see a world of peace, and cooperation.
Riley hoped that by doing this, she could undo some of the damage that Ramira had done, and encourage people to work together to fix everything that was broken.
As she descended back to the ground, the pattern of the Rinnegan now reflecting in everyone's eyes, she stepped over to Ramira and Fleur. Both now shared in the same vacant stare as they dreamed. Riley offered them a sad smile, and hoped that their time together would be happy, for as long as it lasted.
With one final thing left to do, she removed Ramira's eyes to prevent anyone from attempting to use them to gain power. She then sealed them away, and began heading off.
The light of the glowing moon made it seem like an especially bright afternoon, and all those that Riley came near shared in the same ocular pattern, signifying that they'd been captured by the technique's effects.
Riley was half tempted to stay here for awhile and observe these effects, as she'd never used Infinite Tsukuyomi before despite having learned how from Kaguya.
Despite her curiosity, Riley was ready to go home. So she focused on Ramira, and took in what she'd learned. This version of her was an animal, a baser creature that did only what it wanted. Despite her power, despite her skill, she had nothing, she was nothing. All that she'd made was done on a whim. She was just a beast, reacting to her needs. She had nothing and was nothing, because of it. She suffered horribly in her childhood, worse than Riley had, and it had made Ramira bitter. She learned some things, but without a goal, without wants, without passions, without people to fill her life with, Ramira simply existed. She was a force of nature, a baser creature. Despite her power, despite her strength, she could never be anything more than a beast, because she refused to accept anyone. Not her lover, not even her child. Ramira simply existed, and because of that, it was almost like she didn't exist at all.
As Riley walked, she found something in her path. She lifted her gaze to find Ralael floating there before her.
"Well done." The cloaked angel said to her.
"I'm ready to leave this place." Riley said to her.
"So it would seem." And like that, Riley was within her mindscape, still standing before the angel.
She knew what happened next and drew her sword.
Focusing on Ramira, Riley spoke the words. "Bare witness to this wicked world, Unleash Chaos, Ralael!"
The sword erupted in light and quickly shrunk down as it took it's new form. What was left in her hand was a shard of bone, or more aptly, a knife fashioned by the jawbone of some animal. The blade was less then twelve inches long, and radiated with the terror that Ramira had instilled in the world.
Slowly, Riley lifted her gaze from the blade, to the Winged Angel.
"Alright, let's see what this thing can do.
-To Be Continued-
Alright, there you go. Told you I'd have it up by new years. It may be 1:30 here, but it's still before New years somewhere! Hope you all enjoyed it, this was a rather long one, and I know I put in a lot of Ramira's story here, I figured that would be a bit more interesting than watching Riley just dominate her. Despite Ramira's powers, she hasn't face many real challenges, and just sort of breezes through life, so going up against someone like Riley, she wouldn't stand much of a chance. Though it does make me wonder about other Riley's that are closer to her in power. We'll just have to see.
