Even though he had sent his guardian into exile, it didn't change the fact Ainz had deeply worried for the well being of Demiruge.
More so after learning that Tanya took him in under her leadership for the time being, Ainz was at peace at mind, that is until she was informed by Yuri how he and one of her own men were kidnapped during the afterhours of when they weren't on school campus.
While he was left with assurance that Tanya intends to deal with the matter herself personally, Ainz was none the left worried and was decisively coming up with a plan should anything happen to Tanya.
"I'm telling you, definitely that blue haired girl has a thing for Kazuma" said Albedo as she and Shalltear were arguing with the Fiore twins.
"Just cause you saw her bought fancy ingredients on her way home, doesn't mean nothing" argued Aura as she and her twin brother Mare were convinced that Megumin has a thing for Kazuma.
"You brats wouldn't know true amorous love if it was right in front of you" said Shalltear saying that statement rather ironically.
"I think Darkness would make an excellent partner for Kazuma" commented Cocytus, "No one asked you" the quartet said in unison as Ainz continued to think.
Come on Tanya, where are you, thought the master of the Great Nazarick Tomb, before finally at long last Tanya had returned.
"Tanya" said Ainz as he began to approach her, "Please tell me, what became of Demiruge".
In response Tanya said nothing, but brushed pass the bag of bones before approaching her troops.
"Gather around men, we're leaving" said Tanya, "Where are we going Major" asked Viktoriya as everyone stood at attention.
"I'll explain later, now let's move people" ordered Tanya as they all began to make their way out the classroom.
"Tanya!" exclaimed Ainz as he stood in front of the door that was the only way to enter or exit the classroom.
"Please, if there's anything wrong, me and my guardians are more than happy to help, but please don't you dare walk out on me without saying a thing" said Ainz.
Continuing to make her way towards the exit, everyone in the room was left surprised when they saw Tanya delivered a swift punch into Ainz' visible abdomen.
"Master Ainz" Albedo screamed in horror as she was ready to kill Tanya, "Albedo stop" shouted Ainz as he put his hand up, as Tanya leaned in next to his ear.
"Don't you ever dare think about crossing me again" warned Tanya as she pushed Ainz aside before her shocked troops continued to follow her.
"Master Ainz, are you alright" asked Shalltear as all the floor guardians surrounded him, "I'll be fine, for now let's pretend nothing happened, and that's an order" said Ainz as he got back on his feet before class started, leaving everyone in class confused.
"Oh dear" commented Emilia as she couldn't believe they all had to witness that, as Subaru was the one who was left in shock the most.
"Tanya" mumbled Subaru as he feared this would be the end of their friendship, something he never had wanted to happen since they came to this world.
The only person that seems to be enjoying the show was Ram, as evident by her smirk, which didn't go unnoticed by her twin, who shook her head in disproval, just as Roswaal came in.
"Alright class~, time for roll call~" said Roswaal as everyone was left with a little less spirit in them since Kazuma reverted back into a NEET.
The Night before
After logging out for the night, Naofumi along with Raphtalia and Filo were called by Yuri what had happened and made his back to the school to further check on the scene of the crime.
After seeing the slash marks and arrows, Naofumi had a bright idea who was behind all of this, and was getting angry by the second knowing that those 3 and possibly her were here as well.
"Master Naofumi" Raphtalia said with concerned as she knew who were the culprits responsible for all this and how resentful he still felt.
"Let's go, we got all the information we need" said Naofumi as they all began to leave the destroyed room and report back to Yuri.
"Naofumi perfect" came Kurt as he began to appear out the shadows of the school halls and into the moon light.
"It has come to my attention there are some people trying to dig into one's business where they're not welcome, henceforth I come here and offer you a chance to work for me and stopping these rebellious teenagers" said Kurt.
"I may not know what the hell your hiding, but if you think I'm going to help you for trying to hurt my friends and continuing to keep secrets, forget it" said Naofumi as the last thing he wanted to do was hurt his new found friends, especially for Kazuma's sake.
"To bad, and here I thought you'd make an excellent addition to my private moral and safety officers" said Kurt as Naofumi notice 3 figures coming from the shadows.
"Naofumi, so good to see you again" came the voice of Motoyasu in a condescending manner, "I should've guessed you assholes were involved the moment Yuri explained what she saw at the scene of the crime" Naofumi.
"Naofumi please, we're only doing this for heroic deeds" reasoned Ren, "Oh, you my friend are especially far from being called a hero, but hey at least we can say you're the first person confirmed to be suffering from Handsome Jack syndrome".
"I've no idea who this Handsome Jack person you speak of, but if his name has any implication to his appearance consider me one as well" said Motoyasu as he began to draw his spear.
"Come get some" said Naofumi as Raphtalia drew her weapon as Filo changed back into her true bird form.
"Master Naofumi" said Raphtalia as she set her eyes on Ren and Itsuki, "Wait for it" said Naofumi as he set his sights on Kurt who remained stoic as usual.
"Hmm, I'll get out of your way students, though please do try to avoid from causing any structural damage, repairs aren't cheap" said Kurt before turning tail and leaving the group be.
"Naofumi, you don't want to do this" said Itsuki as he began to draw his bow, "Oh, you've no idea how much I wanted to put idiots in your place" said Naofumi as he gave his villainous smile, "Master Naofumi" said Raphtalia as she was disappointed as always from seeing this side of her master.
No words were said, before at long last Raphtalia charged in head first to face their oppressors.
"Here I go, Triple Wind Slash" shouted Ren as he sent 3 wind based projectiles towards Raphtalia, "Air Shield" shouted Naofumi as said shield protected Raphtalia as she clashed blades against Ren.
"Itsuki a little help here" Ren said as he gritted his teeth due to being an actual piss poor swordsman with no skills, "I got her" said Itsuki as he shot an electrical arrow at Raphtalia, only for it to pass through her.
"An illusion" exclaimed Ren as he felt completely punked as Itsuki went wide eye as he too didn't expect this.
"Right behind you" said Raphtalia as she swung her sword and knocked Itsuki's bow out of his hand, before uppercutting him to the jaw where he was knocked back into the wall and was out for the count.
As this went on Motoyasu was dealing with Filo, though like always he always had a hard time.
"Please Filo, I'd hate to harm a hair or even feather from someone as cute as you" said Motoyasu trying to reason the big bird.
Filo didn't say anything as she charged in head first, and without giving the womanizer a chance to defend himself, kicked him square in the balls again.
"Oh" groaned Motoyasu in pain as he was definitely down for the count, "That's for trying to enslave me spear guy" said Filo as she transformed back to normal and she stuck her tongue.
"Damn it, this bites" said Ren as he was completely outmatched and cornered, "Let's finish this, Shield Prison" said Naofumi as he completely trapped the sword hero.
"Naofumi, release me this instant" shouted Ren inside his prison, "Filo, mind doing the honors" said Naofumi as he looked at Filo who transformed, "Yes Master" cheered Filo, before kicking Ren down the halls.
Once he hit the wall at the end of the hall, Naofumi released him from his prison as he was already defeated.
"Alright guys, let's get going" said Naofumi, "Not so fast" came the voice of Vanir.
While their confrontation was minimal at best, Naofumi always had a weird feeling in regards to Vanir as the devil continued to approach the trio.
"While it's a surprise these 3 were able to dance with a devil like Demiruge, I assure you I'm not like them or anything you may have faced" said Vanir as his eyes began to glow.
"Raphtalia, Filo, get behind me" ordered Naofumi, before Vanir fired a beam of energy at them as Naofumi lifted his shield.
After a solid minute, Vanir stopped his attack and saw that the trio were gone and out of sight, much to his dismay.
"Oh merde" said Vanir as he knew his boss wasn't going to like this, before gathering the knocked out legendary heroes.
Later
After relaying the events that had transpired, Sora decided to voice chat with everyone that had transpired that night.
"And so before we left, he did confessed there was something afoot going on when he mentioned that Devil guy working for that bag of bones, which I can assume meaning they stole your guys' strategist" informed Naofumi to Yuri.
"Damn it, Tanya isn't going to like this as much as I am" said Yuri on the other line, "While you do that, any idea what was in that memory card you guys found" asked Sora.
"Not until we secured ourselves a new HQ, plus as a precaution if there was anything, I'd rather not say it over the phone" said Yuri, "Fair enough" said Sora as he would've thought the same thing.
"Alright guys, so what now" asked Shinichi as he and Touya remained silent for the most part.
"Right now we all gotta move out and relocate" said Sora as no argued over what he was saying.
"We clearly know a lot more than the school would like, and that puts a big target on our back, however, Shinichi I want you and Touya to go back to school at least to keep an eye on things, I highly doubt the school would suspect you guys of anything compared to us" said Sora.
"We've been known as a class filled with good students" said Shinichi, "Plus we just got into town" Touya said in agreement.
"Good to hear, Yuri if you can send someone to meet up with us so we can regroup that be awesome" said Sora, "Alright, keep a lookout for Matsushita and TK, both will be waiting for you guys at the park" said Yuri.
"Sounds good, we'll talk about more details later on alright, I'll see you guys all there" said Sora before everyone hung up.
"Sora, are we really leaving home" asked Shiro as she hated the outdoors more than anything.
"Unfortunately, so let's start packing some stuff" said Sora as Shiro began to pack gaming and VR equipment essentials.
Once they were packed, they went into Stephanie's room to see her cuddling up to a body pillow of Sora, "Stephanie wake up" said Sora as he began to gently shake her.
"Hmm, guys' what's up it's a school night" mumbled Stephanie, "That's a thing none of us are going to school tomorrow" said Sora, "What".
"I'll fill you in on the way, right now, pack some things and some food for us, we're leaving like right now" said Sora as Stephanie slowly got up and rub her eyes.
"This had better be good" said Stephanie as she looked at the clock to see it was already 3 in the morning.
The Next Day
After what had transpired before morning attendance, moral had reached an all time low within the Tomb of Nazarick members, as much as Subaru's circle of friends, and this was before the girls of team Kazuma finally made it to class, which by the way everyone did notice something was different with Aqua.
After class, everyone went on their own business, with Ainz wanting to be alone and read the note left to him by Tanya.
After thoroughly reading it, Ainz was relieved that her actions weren't without merit, but was left with a sense of worriment as he not only lost his floor guardian, but a friend in the process.
It was moments like this where he wished he could let his emotions run free again, but alas he couldn't as he was feeling immense sadness for what's been going on.
"Ainz" called Shinichi from across the hall, "Shinichi how are you doing today" asked Ainz.
"I'm doing good for the most part, what about you" asked Shinichi with a smile, "If I'm honest I and everyone in class could be doing a lot better" admitted Ainz.
"I'm sorry to hear that" said Shinichi sympathetically, "Don't be, honestly you could say this is our karma for what we inflicted towards Kazuma" said Ainz as that's how he honestly felt.
Speaking of Kazuma, after regrouping, the new gang of friends agreed that in order to protect themselves and Kazuma, they had to unfortunately go off the grid and severe all connections till they find out what the school is hiding.
Though that isn't to say they weren't going to stay completely out of touch from Kazuma, since the plan was for Touya to come over one last time and plant some sort of tracker on Kazuma, just in case shit hits the fan.
While it was a necessity, nobody liked it, with Naofumi being completely against it before being finally convinced to have Filo, Otonashi, Kanade, Yae, and Garius keep a safe distance and watch on Kazuma's well being and activity.
"I'm sorry to hear that Ainz" said Shinichi as he could totally sympathize at the situation.
"Hey listen, if you like ever need a friend to talk to, I'm there for you" said Shinichi, "Thank you for your kindness Shinichi, it's much appreciated" said Ainz before both went their separate ways.
On the other side of class, Subaru was left to mope around after what had happened today in class.
While Emilia was informing the girls of team Kazuma what had happened, Subaru took it as his chance to slip out and think to himself for the moment.
All of his thoughts of losing his friends seemed to point back to Kazuma, and how they betrayed him, which got Subaru more and more depressed.
Stopping in the middle of the hallway, he turned to see the Destroyer still outside after their second confrontation, and how after defeating that machine both times, they all got together for victory pizza party between leaders.
This in turn got Subaru thinking of all the new and happy memories he had made with his friends and how it hurts to even think about losing them again, as he shed a single tear.
I'm going to make things right, thought Subaru as he found a new resolve to confront Kazuma one more time, hoping that if he can get him to forgive him, and convince him to come back to school, maybe things could go back to normal.
Running back to class, he knew what had to be done as he turned the corner to see Touya walking back to his class.
"Incoming" called Subaru as Touya side stepped to allow Subaru run back to class.
Paying no mind, Touya was mentally preparing himself to begrudgingly run into Kazuma and his old friends for the first and last time, before disappearing without saying goodbye like everyone else.
"Sigh, and I really wanted to play some more TF2 with him" said Touya as he and Kazuma worked as a Scout and Pyro duo perfectly, in spite of Kazuma getting his ass killed over and over again.
"Touya" called Elze as she and Linze were approaching their fiancé, "Oh hey, what's up" greeted Touya, "We got to peak on the other classes like we said we would, and I think we ran into Kazuma's girlfriend".
"Really" said Touya as he doesn't recall Kazuma or anyone mentioning him having a girlfriend.
"And how was she" asked Touya, "She was cry baby and has a goddess complexion" said Elze, "Sounds like a real drag".
"It could've been worse, that is she was kind enough to not only give us their address, but invited us over, that is after she came back from buying them dinner" said Linze.
"Well that was nice of her" said Touya, "That's only touching the surface" said Elze as they began to walk back to class, "What do you mean" asked Touya, "Well you see…"
With Aqua
The goddess of water was definitely wasn't having an easy day, first she was late to class because of Kazuma, and now has to be in detention after school today.
If that wasn't bad enough, she got extremely defensive and jealous when Elze and Linze inquired about Kazuma, which didn't go unnoticed by anyone who was in class as the Vampire and Succubus had smug grins on their face still.
And this was all before showing her meek side after inviting them over to their place where she still intends to make a home cook meal for Kazuma still.
In short Aqua was having a bad day as she couldn't get Kazuma out of his head, who was just getting out of bed and was enjoying the breakfast she had left him while playing Dead Rising 3.
"Oh my fucking god, this weapon is so~ fucking awesome" said Kazuma as he was using one of the many unique weapons to kill zombies, and was currently using the ultimate Reaper combo weapon, and boy does it lives up to its named expectations.
Eventually he had to pause his game because he heard the door bell rang, where he answered it to see Ristarte at the door once again.
"Package for Kazuma" said Ristarte as she handed the parcel package before having Kazuma sign her clip board.
"By the way I think you and your girlfriend are cute and I'm totally routing for you guys" said Ristarte as she got her clip board back before leaving the Satou household as Kazuma was left confused.
"Sigh, damn it who the hell keeps telling people that me and Aqua are dating, never in my life did I thought I'd wish for society to not believe the false assumption that there's a girl out there who was perceived as my girlfriend, because we've practically been together since the beginning that it might as well had been forever" said Kazuma out loud as back in school Aqua let out a sneeze.
