Now, let us begin this chapter...
In the Kingdom of Askr, Commander Anna sat in her quarters, studying the report sent by Chrom, Lucina, Male Robin, and Female Robin. As she delved into the details, Alfonse and Sharena suddenly entered Anna's quarters, catching her off guard.
"Alfonse, and Sharena," Commander Anna addressed the Prince and Princess of the Kingdom of Askr. "Did you send that letter to Princess Veronica?"
"Don't worry about that, Commander Anna!" Sharena cheerfully replied. "Alfonse and I sent a letter to Veronica that explains that the Curse Directive is still out there."
Alfonse, with a determined expression, spoke up first. "Commander Anna, we have other news. Kiran has summoned four Heroes today."
Commander Anna, slightly taken aback by their sudden arrival, looked up from her report and met Alfonse's gaze. "Four Heroes? Are you referring to Chrom, Lucina, and the two versions of Robin? They were the ones who sent me this report on the battle today," she replied, her voice reflecting a mix of surprise and curiosity.
"Yep! Those four Heroes were the ones that were summoned by Kiran today!" Sharena replied.
Alfonse nodded, confirming the information. "Yes, Kiran's summoning abilities have been growing stronger. We must stay vigilant and keep track of the new arrivals."
Sharena, eager to contribute, chimed in, "I wonder who the Heroes are and what they can bring to our cause. It's always exciting to meet new allies."
Commander Anna nodded in agreement, her mind racing with thoughts on how these new Heroes could turn the tide of the ongoing battles. "Indeed, Sharena. Every Hero brings a unique set of skills and strengths. We'll need all the help we can get in the upcoming battles."
Alfonse's expression turned serious as he continued, "Speaking of battles, Kiran has been involved in a two-way clash between Elusia's forces and the Curse Directive. The situation seems to be escalating."
Commander Anna's eyes widened, a mix of concern and determination flickering in her gaze. "Elusia's forces and the Curse Directive? That's a dangerous combination. We can't afford to let them gain the upper hand."
Sharena, with a warm smile, spoke up, relaying some news. "Commander Anna, the version of you that we brought with us from Elyos to Askr is faring well. She's adjusting to her new surroundings."
Commander Anna's smile widened, a sense of relief evident in her voice. "That's good to hear. Even though she's just a young girl, I can't simply abandon my Elyos counterpart. We'll make sure she feels at home here."
Alfonse, curious about the ongoing developments, interjected. "According to what Chrom told me, Kiran, Alear, and their allies are currently heading towards Brodia Castle."
Commander Anna nodded, her mind already working on what actions to take. "Understood. I'll inform the rest of the Heroes to be prepared in case Kiran decides to summon them for assistance."
The trio exchanged glances, a shared determination in their eyes. As they prepared for the arrival of Kiran and their allies, they knew that the battles ahead would be challenging. But with their resolve and the support of the Heroes they had gathered, they were ready to face any obstacle and protect the realms of Elyos and Zenith.

Chapter 12: The Binding Battle of Brodia
As Alear and Kiran's group drew nearer to Brodia Castle, Kiran couldn't help but notice a radiant white glow emanating from his Breidablik. Curiosity piqued, he turned to Baldraz, wanting to understand the significance of this sudden change.
Baldraz, his voice filled with a sense of knowledge, spoke up, addressing Kiran directly. "Kiran, the Breidablik is transforming. This change will prove beneficial to all of us in our future battles."
Intrigued, Kiran couldn't contain his question. "Baldraz, what upgrades will the Breidablik gain? What new abilities can we expect?"
Baldraz smiled, eager to share the newfound power of the Breidablik. "One of the significant changes is that the Breidablik now possesses the ability to summon new Heroes without needing to be in proximity to the Summoning Stone. It will greatly expand our options and allow us to bolster our ranks swiftly."
Kiran's eyes widened with excitement, realizing the immense potential this upgrade held for their cause. "That's incredible! The ability to summon Heroes without being limited to a specific location will give us a tactical advantage."
As Alear observed Kiran's focused gaze on his Breidablik, concern flickered in her eyes. She couldn't help but voice her worry. "Kiran, are you alright? You seem deep in thought."
Kiran looked up, his expression reassuring. "Oh, don't worry. I'm fine. It's just that my Breidablik is undergoing some changes. It's both intriguing and exciting."
Alear's smile returned, her voice filled with optimism. "Perhaps these changes in the Breidablik are meant to aid us in our mission to save Elyos and Zenith. It could be a sign of great things to come."
Kiran nodded, acknowledging the possibility. "Your theory is plausible, Alear. The Breidablik has always been a powerful artifact, and these changes might enhance its abilities further."
Alear's eyes sparkled with anticipation as she spoke. "I'll look forward to witnessing those changes, Kiran. It's incredible to think about how it may amplify our efforts to protect our worlds."
As their group approached Brodia Castle, Alcryst, the Second Prince of Brodia, broke the silence and announced their arrival. "We have reached Brodia Castle."
Alfred, the Crown Prince of Firene, surveyed the surroundings and realized something peculiar. "I don't see any Elusian soldiers around the area."
Yunaka, always thorough, confirmed Alfred's observation. "I double-checked just in case, and there are indeed no signs of Elusian presence."
Celine, the Princess of Firene, voiced her concern. "I wonder if we arrived too early. Could it be that we are ahead of schedule?"
Alear, ever hopeful, interjected with a glimmer of optimism. "Let's hope that our group arrived in time. Perhaps our early arrival will work to our advantage."
Kiran's voice broke the silence, drawing attention to a figure standing in front of the castle gate. "There's someone in front of the castle gate."
Alcryst's gaze locked onto the person, and a mix of surprise and recognition flashed in his eyes. "That person is my older brother, Diamant, the Crown Prince of Brodia."
Alear, sensing the significance of this encounter, spoke up, urging the group to approach Diamant. "We should meet up with him. It's important to reunite with the crown prince of Brodia."
Alcryst nodded in agreement, his voice filled with determination. "I agree, Alear. Maybe my older brother wants to greet us at the castle gate?"
"I guess we'll find out soon enough," Alear replied.
With a shared sense of purpose, Alear and Kiran's group hastened their steps, rushing towards the gates of Brodia Castle.
As Alear and Kiran's group reached the imposing gates of Brodia Castle, their eyes fell upon Diamant, the Crown Prince of Brodia, who stood there waiting for them. Diamant's voice rang out as he addressed Alear directly, a warm smile on his face. "I've been waiting for you, Divine One. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Diamant, the Crown Prince of Brodia."
Alear, recognizing the significance of their meeting, responded with confidence. "Indeed, I am Alear, the Divine One of Lythos."
Diamant's eyes sparkled with admiration as he spoke, his voice filled with respect. "I have heard so much about you, Alear. It is truly an honor to finally meet you in person."
Alear extended a warm greeting to Diamant, expressing her pleasure at finally meeting him. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Diamant."
Diamant's gaze shifted from Alear to Alfred, Celine, and Kiran, his expression serious. He addressed all of them, his voice filled with purpose. "Queen Eve has sent a private letter to me and my father. It explains what has transpired in the past few days."
Alfred, his tone tinged with both relief and admiration, chimed in. "It seems Mother warned Brodia. Her foresight proved invaluable."
Celine, her eyes reflecting a mixture of gratitude and speculation, added her thoughts. "It seems Mother sent that letter as a precaution to protect us."
Then, Diamant turned his attention towards Kiran, his voice filled with a mix of curiosity and acknowledgment. "According to Queen Eve's letter, I have been informed that you are from another world, Kiran. I am aware of your ability to summon Heroes from other realms."
Kiran, taking in the information, nodded thoughtfully. "Good to know. I see you're well-informed."
Diamant, recognizing the potential of Kiran's unique power, spoke with a newfound sense of expectation. "I'll be looking forward to seeing you summon these Heroes, Kiran. It will be a sight to behold."
Kiran, a hint of excitement evident in his voice, replied confidently. "You'll get to witness it soon enough, Diamant. Together, we'll bring forth the strength of these Heroes and face the challenges that await us."
Diamant turned towards his younger brother, Alcryst, gratitude evident in his eyes. "Thank you, Alcryst, for escorting Alear and her allies to Brodia. Your assistance is greatly appreciated."
"It's nothing, really," Alcryst waved off the thanks with a modest smile. "But, we encountered some trouble along the way. The Elusian forces, led by Princess Hortensia, and the Curse Directive attacked our group at the Grand Crossing."
Diamant furrowed his brow, displaying a mix of concern and curiosity. "I am familiar with Elusia, but I haven't heard of the Curse Directive before. What can you tell me about them?"
Alear stepped forward, eager to provide insight. "The Curse Directive is Kiran's sworn enemies in his homeworld."
"I'll explain what the Curse Directive is later," Kiran said as he pointed toward Alcryst. "I think your younger brother has something to say."
Alcryst's voice broke the silence as he relayed the information to Diamant. "I heard from Princess Hortensia that the Crown Princess of Elusia intends to assault Brodia Castle."
Diamant nodded, his expression filled with understanding. "I see. Elusia is after Brodia's Emblem Ring, then."
Expressing his gratitude, Diamant turned to Alcryst. "Thank you for the warning, Alcryst."
"We must act swiftly," Diamant said to Alear. "As Brodia Castle's defenses are bolstered, I'll escort your group to meet with King Morion, my father."
With a shared sense of urgency, they understood the gravity of the situation. As Diamant escorted Alear and Kiran's group, the impending assault on Brodia Castle posed a significant threat, and their actions would determine the fate of their kingdom.
Meanwhile, in the Kingdom of Askr, Fjorm, the Second Princess of the Kingdom of Nifl, stood on the castle grounds, her gaze fixed on the young girl before her. Commander Anna, with a tone of explanation, introduced her as a version of herself from Elyos. As Fjorm observed, the young Anna, vibrant and full of energy, engaged in conversation with various Heroes, referring to herself as Lady Anna.
Amused by the lively nature of this alternate Anna, Fjorm couldn't help but comment to herself. "This version of Anna sure is lively."
Just as she turned around, Fjorm noticed the approach of two Heroes from the World of Elibe. Roy, with his noble demeanor, and Lilina, radiating warmth and determination, drew closer to Fjorm.
Roy approached Fjorm, his voice filled with curiosity. "I see you're keeping a close eye on the young girl, Fjorm."
Fjorm nodded, her attention still fixed on the young Anna. "Yes, Roy. She is a version of Anna from Elyos."
Lilina, her eyes sparkling with amusement, couldn't help but comment on the young Anna's insistence on being called "Lady Anna."
"I find it adorable how she keeps insisting on being called 'Lady Anna'," Lilina spoke. "Do you think this young Anna is a Hero, Princess Fjorm?"
Fjorm turned to Lilina, a hint of surprise on her face. "Interestingly enough, this version of Anna is not a Hero, despite her spirited demeanor."
"Really?" Lilina's astonishment was evident as she processed this information. "Given she's a version of Anna, Roy and I thought she was a young Hero."
Fjorm turned to Lilina, her voice filled with compassion as she shed light on the situation. "Kiran, our Summoner, rescued young Anna from a horde of monsters in Elyos. He saw her potential and convinced Commander Anna to bring her here for safekeeping."
Roy, his curiosity piqued, posed a question to Fjorm. "Does young Anna have a family back in Elyos?"
Fjorm's gaze softened as she responded. "Yes, she does. While young Anna longs to be reunited with her family, she plans to embark on that journey once the conflict in Elyos has come to an end. For now, her focus is staying in Zenith for a while and ensuring her safety."
As the three continued watching young Anna wandering around the castle grounds, Roy turned to Fjorm, his voice tinged with anticipation. "Princess Fjorm, are you prepared if Kiran ever summons you to Elyos?"
Fjorm took a moment, briefly closing her eyes as she contemplated the question. With an air of certainty, she opened her eyes and met Roy's gaze. "Yes, Roy. When Kiran and the Order of Heroes came to our aid and helped save the Kingdom of Nifl from the clutches of Surtr, I realized that I owed Kiran a debt that I could never fully repay. My continued strength and loyalty belong to him."
Lilina, her voice filled with conviction, joined the conversation. "I couldn't agree more, Fjorm. Kiran is the one who binds us all together as Heroes. We owe him a great deal for his guidance and support."
Roy nodded, a sense of gratitude evident in his expression. "Indeed, Kiran's leadership and unwavering determination are what keep us united. We stand as one, ready to face any challenge that comes our way."
With their shared understanding of Kiran's importance, Fjorm, Roy, and Lilina reaffirmed their commitment to the cause. As Heroes, they were bound not only by their strengths but also by their trust in Kiran and the unbreakable bond that they had forged.
As Diamant guided Alear and Kiran's group through the winding corridors of Brodia Castle, he turned to Kiran, his voice filled with curiosity. "Kiran, I'm curious. What do you know about the Curse Directive?"
Kiran, ever knowledgeable, responded with confidence. "The Curse Directive was once a part of the Emblian Empire. It served as a counterpart to the Kingdom of Askr's Order of Heroes, of which I am a member. It was an organization that wielded dark magic and sought to target me specifically."
Alear, her voice tinged with determination, added her input. "Diamant, Kiran, and I fought against Ebony, the current leader of the Curse Directive. We managed to fend her off, but she remains a formidable adversary."
Diamant, his voice filled with determination, addressed Kiran with a sense of unwavering loyalty. "Kiran, if the Curse Directive were to reveal themselves here in Brodia and target you, rest assured that I will do everything in my power to aid you."
"Thank you, Prince Diamant," Kiran replied. "You're an ally we can rely on."
Just as the tension in the air began to mount, the group's attention was drawn towards the arrival of King Morion. Accompanied by several Brodian guards, he approached the area where Alear and Kiran's group stood. Morion, his voice calm and inquisitive, addressed them. "Why do you all seem so tense?"
Diamant, with a touch of exasperation, spoke up to his father, Morion. "Father, you were supposed to wait outside."
To Diamant's surprise, Morion responded with a hint of longing in his voice. "I am waiting for my boy Alcryst to come home."
"Thank you... Father," Alcryst spoke as he shifted uncomfortably under his father Morion's gaze, feeling a mix of gratitude and unease.
Sensing the tension, Diamant spoke up, concern lacing his words. "Father, it's not safe for you to leave Brodia Castle."
Morion, his voice filled with confidence, reassured his son. "Diamant, I can take care of myself. Besides, I want to give my son, Alcryst, a warm welcome after his long journey."
Glancing at Alear, Kiran, and the rest of their allies, Morion recognized the need to maintain a harmonious atmosphere. With a diplomatic tone, he addressed the group. "Let's not argue in front of our guests. We have company, and it's best to present a united front."
Alear, her voice calm and reassuring, addressed Morion. "It's alright."
Morion, realizing his previous behavior, quickly apologized. "I apologize for my rudeness. Allow me to properly introduce myself. I am Morion, the King of Brodia."
Alear, extending a friendly gesture, responded graciously. "It's an honor to meet you, King Morion."
Morion, a smile spreading across his face, expressed his surprise and awe. "I never imagined I would have the honor of meeting the Divine One herself."
Diamant, sensing the need to shift the focus to a pressing matter, spoke up. "Father, there is an important matter we need to discuss."
"Diamant, while Alcryst was escorting Alear's group from the border, they were attacked by Elusian forces and the Curse Directive," Diamant informed Morion, his voice filled with concern.
Morion, his brows furrowed, responded with a mix of surprise and uncertainty. "I am aware of Elusia, but I have no knowledge of the Curse Directive. What kind of organization is it?"
Kiran, taking the opportunity to introduce himself, spoke up, his voice steady and determined. "Allow me to introduce myself, King Morion. I am Kiran Pathfinder, and I can shed some light on the Curse Directive. They are an evil organization with a personal vendetta against me."
Morion, his voice carrying a mix of curiosity and understanding, addressed Kiran. "I have read Queen Eve's letter and I am aware that you come from another world, possessing the ability to summon Heroes."
Kiran, acknowledging Morion's observation with a nod, confirmed his words. "That is correct."
Morion, his voice filled with conviction, assured Kiran of his kingdom's support. "Since you are aiding the Divine One herself, I want you to know that Brodia will not hesitate to assist you if the Curse Directive should appear within our borders."
"Thank you for offering your support, King Morion," Kiran replied, with gratitude welled up within him.
"And Elusia's crown princess is planning an assault on Brodia Castle," Diamant explained, his voice filled with concern.
Morion, his tone serious, responded swiftly. "It seems Elusia is already making their move. We must take immediate action." He turned to his soldiers. "Prepare the defenses of the castle. Strengthen our position."
Morion then addressed Alcryst with gratitude. "And thank you, my son, for acquiring this valuable information and ensuring the safe escort of the Divine One's group into Brodia."
Amid the conversation, Alear's sharp eyes caught a glimpse of Morion reaching into his pockets. Reacting quickly, she swiftly tossed something to Diamant. As he caught it, Diamant realized it was an Emblem Ring, the significance of which was yet to be revealed.
Alear, her voice filled with recognition, spoke up. "I recognize that Emblem Ring, Diamant. It's the Ring of the Young Lion."
Diamant, having caught the Ring of the Young Lion, couldn't hide his concern. "Alear, we're supposed to take care of the Emblem Ring, not throw it around."
Alear sighed, regaining her composure. She turned to Diamant and asked, "Your father seems nice. Is he always like this?"
Diamant, a hint of pride in his voice, replied, "My father, King Morion, is kind when he's not in battle. But once the battle begins, he becomes quite ruthless."
The exchange between Alear and Diamant painted a vivid picture of King Morion's personality. While Alear recognized the significance of the Emblem Ring, Diamant's concern for its safety revealed its importance.
Kiran, his voice filled with determination, spoke to Alear. "It's time, Alear. It's time for you to awaken the Ring of the Young Lion."
Alear, her resolve matching Kiran's, nodded in agreement. As Diamant handed the Emblem Ring over to Alear, she held it firmly in her grasp. With a steady voice, she chanted, "Rise up, Emblem of Binding!"
In response to Alear's invocation, a burst of energy surged from the Ring of the Young Lion. Before their eyes, Emblem Roy materialized, a powerful presence in the room. He wasted no time introducing himself. "I am Emblem Roy, the manifestation of the Ring of the Young Lion. If I have been brought forth, it can only mean one thing—war has begun."
Diamant's eyes widened with awe as he stared at Emblem Roy. Overwhelmed by the sight before him, he couldn't help but express his amazement. "I admit, this is my first time seeing an Emblem."
Morion, his voice filled with pride, spoke to Alear. "You have truly awakened Brodia's Emblem Ring, Alear. The power within you is remarkable."
Alear, her voice tinged with certainty, confirmed Morion's words. "Indeed, Emblem Roy is the manifestation of the Ring of the Young Lion."
As the group absorbed the significance of this moment, a Brodian soldier rushed to the scene. His urgency was palpable as he relayed crucial information to Morion. "Sir, an Elusian wyvern rider is approaching the castle!"
In the distance, a lone Wyvern Rider flew towards Brodia Castle, briefly startling everyone present. As the wyvern landed, its rider, a rose-haired young woman garbed in a veil and a dark blue dress, disembarked from her wyvern. Then, the young woman walks towards Alear, Kiran, and the rest of the group.
"I am Princess Ivy from the Kingdom of Elusia," The young woman introduced herself.
Diamant, his voice laced with surprise, spoke up as Princess Ivy of Elusia approached. "I underestimated how far you had gotten into Brodia."
Ivy, her voice resonating with authority, spoke confidently. "My soldiers are on their way towards Brodia Castle."
Alear, her curiosity piqued, questioned Ivy's unexpected solo arrival. "Then, why did you come here alone, Ivy?"
Ivy, her tone filled with a mix of respect and determination, addressed Alear as the Divine One. "Divine One, my purpose here is clear. I have come to demand the surrender of your Emblem Rings and the man known as Kiran Pathfinder."
Fuelled by her duties as a Hero bound to Kiran, Alear stepped forward, positioning herself between Kiran and Ivy. Her voice firm, she addressed Ivy directly. "Demanding our Emblem Rings may be one thing, but I will not hand Kiran over to Elusia."
Ivy, her expression unyielding, offered an explanation. "Let's just say that Kiran's ability to summon Heroes has attracted... Elusia's attention."
Kiran, his gaze fixed on Ivy, muttered under his breath. "Because of my ability to summon Heroes, I am going to be targeted not just by Elusia, but by other organizations as well."
Ivy, her eyes gleaming with determination, reached into her pocket and retrieved an Emblem Ring. Holding it up for Alear and Kiran to see, she revealed its identity. "This Emblem Ring is the Ring of the Sage Lord, bestowed upon me by my father."
A sense of reluctance tinged Ivy's voice as she continued speaking. "I am sorry, Alear, but I have no choice. I must kill you and take Kiran and your Emblem Rings for Elusia."
Diamant, his voice filled with conviction, stepped forward to protect his sister and Kiran. "Neither Alear nor I will ever surrender Kiran or our Emblem Rings to Elusia."
Ivy closed her eyes momentarily, her expression reflecting a mix of determination and resolve. As she opened her eyes, she spoke with unwavering conviction.
"So be it. If you refuse to surrender Kiran and your Emblem Rings, then our forces will meet you on the battlefield." Ivy declared as her gaze was fixed on both Alear and Kiran, issuing a direct challenge. "I will be waiting for you there."
With those words, Ivy mounted her wyvern and took to the skies, disappearing into the distance.
Alear turned to Kiran, her voice laced with urgency. "Kiran, we need more Heroes. We must summon them soon."
Kiran, gripping his Breidablik tightly, nodded in agreement. "I understand, Alear. I will summon more Heroes as soon as possible."
With their resolve strengthened, Alear and Kiran prepared for the looming battle. As the upcoming battle loomed over the horizon, the fate of the Kingdom of Brodia and the safety of their allies rested on their efforts and determination.
Meanwhile, Lumera sat alone at her table in the cozy ambiance of the Aether Resort's Dining Hall, her lunch now in front of her. Just as she was about to take her first bite, a female voice interrupted her solitude. She looked up from her food and found herself facing three females, each adorned with vibrant green hair and pointed ears.
The youngest of the trio, a girl with a curious gleam in her eyes, spoke up, breaking the silence. "Um, excuse me. Can we sit with you? You look lonely."
Lumera, momentarily taken aback by the unexpected encounter, offered a faint smile. "Of course. Please, feel free to join me."
As the three females settled comfortably at Lumera's table, the young girl who had spoken earlier expressed her gratitude. "Thank you so much for letting us sit with you. My name is Tiki."
The young woman seated beside her chimed in, her voice carrying a certain maturity. "I'm also Tiki, but you can call me Adult Tiki. It helps differentiate me from my younger self."
Lumera nodded, taking in the unique circumstances. Two versions of the same person sitting before her. The older-looking woman, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke up. "I am Naga, Ruler of the Divine Dragons of Archanea and its future counterpart, Ylisse."
Lumera's surprise was evident, her eyes widening briefly at the revelation. However, she quickly composed herself and offered a warm smile to Naga, Tiki, and Adult Tiki.
Seated together at the table, the four Divine Dragons began to enjoy their meals. Young Tiki turned to Lumera, her eyes filled with curiosity. "I can sense that you're a dragon, like me. Are you a Divine Dragon too?"
Lumera nodded, a gentle smile gracing her lips. "Yes, I am a Divine Dragon from another world. It's rare to meet others like us."
Adult Tiki joined the conversation, her voice filled with warmth. "You must have so many stories to share from your homeworld. We'd love to hear them."
Naga, radiating a regal presence, spoke next, her voice carrying a sense of honor. "It is an honor to meet a fellow Divine Dragon like yourself, Lumera."
Lumera's smile widened, touched by the words of her newfound companions. "The honor is mine, Naga. To be in the presence of such esteemed dragons is a privilege I never expected."
Young Tiki's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she chimed in, her voice filled with excitement. "I'm just as curious about your homeworld as my older self, Lumera. Do tell us about it!"
Lumera chuckled softly, realizing that explaining her homeworld would require some time. "Describing Elyos, my homeworld, would indeed take a while. There's so much to share."
Naga, with her wise and patient demeanor, spoke up. "As Heroes, we have all the time in the world. Just like my daughters, I am also curious about your world. Please, indulge us."
Lumera let out a smile as she explained to Naga and the two versions of Tiki what Elyos was, and how it all was connected to the 12 Emblem Rings...
As the allies of Alear and Kiran rushed towards the castle gates in the Kingdom of Brodia, their hearts filled with determination. However, their hopes were quickly met with the daunting sight of a large army of Elusian soldiers, led by Princess Ivy herself. The situation seemed dire, but they stood ready to face the impending battle.
Yunaka, one of Alear's trusted companions, approached her and Kiran, her voice tinged with concern. "Wowzers! Look at the size of the Elusian army Princess Ivy has brought with her. We have quite the challenge ahead."
Alear, her eyes focused on the approaching figure, spoke with a sense of urgency. "Someone is riding towards us on horseback. Keep your guard up."
Diamant responded with certainty. "Ah, that must be one of my retainers, Amber. He always manages to find his way to the heart of the action."
Amber swiftly rode on horseback, his urgency evident as he approached Alear, Kiran, and their group. He turned to Diamant, seeking answers amid the chaos. "Prince Diamant, what are Elusian soldiers doing at Brodia Castle?"
Diamant met Amber's gaze, his voice filled with concern. "Elusia has attacked Brodia. It seems they have launched an assault on our castle. Tell me, were you fighting the beasts?"
Amber nodded, his expression grave. "Yes, I was fighting off the beasts that roamed near the border. But then I saw an army approaching, crossing our kingdom's border. I knew I had to dash back to the castle and warn everyone."
Diamant couldn't help but smirk, his amusement evident as he spoke to Amber. "I'll never understand how you manage to find yourself in these strange situations, my friend. But I'm grateful you arrived in time. Thank you."
Amber chuckled with a hint of mischief in his voice. "Perhaps me and my trusty horsey have a knack for sensing when Brodia is in danger. We have quite the bond, you know."
Diamant nodded, his eyes filled with determination. "Indeed, we must do everything in our power to protect Brodia Castle. Our people rely on us."
Amber's voice grew resolute as he replied, standing tall beside his prince. "As your retainer, I will stand by your side, Prince Diamant."
Amber's gaze shifted towards Alear and Kiran, his curiosity piqued. He turned to Diamant, seeking answers about the two intriguing individuals. "Diamant, who are those two?"
Diamant met Amber's gaze, his voice filled with reverence. "That is Alear, the Divine One herself. And the other person is Kiran, who hails from a different... kingdom. Kiran possesses the extraordinary ability to summon Heroes."
Amber's eyes widened in astonishment, his voice filled with disbelief. "I didn't expect Alear herself to be the Divine One. Such power resides within her."
The realization of Alear's true identity left Amber in awe, his mind racing with questions and wonder. But his attention soon turned to Kiran, his intrigue evident. "And Kiran, what an interesting fellow. I can't wait to witness him summon his Heroes. That must be a sight to behold."
Kiran chuckled nervously, slightly overwhelmed by Amber's anticipation. The weight of his ability and the expectations placed upon him were not lost on him. However, he couldn't help but feel a glimmer of excitement at the prospect of showcasing his unique gift.
Alear turned to Kiran, her voice filled with determination. "Kiran, with this many Elusian soldiers, it's time for you to summon the Heroes. We need their strength now more than ever."
Kiran nodded, his grip tightening around the Breidablik, capable of summoning powerful allies. "I know exactly which Heroes to summon. I intend to bring forth the Heroes of Elibe."
As Kiran readied himself, Baldraz interjected and spoke to Kiran in his mind. "Remember, Princess Ivy has the Ring of the Sage Lord, and the title, "Sage Lord", actually refers to Leif, Prince of Leonster from the World of Jugdral. Kiran, I suggest you find a way to somehow help Alear obtain that Emblem Ring."
Kiran's eyes widened, his excitement growing. The knowledge shared by Baldraz provided him with a new perspective. With a smile on his face, Kiran raised the Breidablik high above his head and channeled his energy. Two red orbs and two green orbs materialized, representing the imminent arrival of the chosen Heroes.
As the battlefield held its breath, all eyes were fixed on the four descending orbs. In an instant, they landed on the ground and emitted a blinding, brilliant light. The air crackled with anticipation as Kiran took center stage.
With unwavering determination in his voice, Kiran chanted, his words resonating through the chaos. "Gathering stars to call upon the Binding Heroes from the World of Elibe that are brought together by destiny! Heed my call and become the path its light shines upon!"
The radiant light intensified as the four red orbs transformed, reshaping into distinct forms. The Heroes had answered Kiran's summoning, ready to join the battle and turn the tide in their favor.
Kiran's voice rang out once more, filled with power and purpose. "Hero Summon! I call forth Roy, Lilina, Cecilia, and Cath into the battlefield!"
As the light faded away, the Heroes materialized before the astonished onlookers, their presence bringing renewed hope and resolve to Alear and her allies.
As the four Heroes materialized on the battlefield, Roy, his grip firm on the hilt of his legendary weapon, readied his Binding Blade. With a determined expression, he stepped forward and introduced himself. "I am Roy of Pherae, the son of Eliwood. Though I may be young, I will do everything in my power to aid you, Kiran."
Lilina, holding her Forblaze tome with confidence, positioned herself beside Roy. She introduced herself as Lilina of Ostia, the daughter of Hector, and spoke with a hint of excitement in her voice. "I am Lilina, Hector's daughter. My fire magic can be of great assistance to you in this battle, Kiran."
"I am Cecilia, the Mage General of Etruria, and the teacher of Roy and Lilina," Cecilia introduced herself as she readied her Tome of Order. "Alongside with my students, I'll do my best to protect you, Kiran."
"Quake in your boots, nobles, and enemies of Kiran!" Cath declared as she brandished her Armorpin Dagger. "The great Cath has arrived in Elyos to claim any of your ill-gotten gains and to punish any enemy that threatens Kiran!"
As the four Heroes from Elibe materialized on the battlefield, their presence elicited a range of reactions from the onlookers. Diamant, in awe of Kiran's abilities, spoke up, his voice filled with admiration. "Kiran, I must say, I am truly impressed by your summoning prowess. The way you call forth these Heroes is remarkable."
Amber, unable to contain his excitement, chimed in, his words brimming with enthusiasm. "Kiran, these Heroes you've summoned are incredible! I can't believe the power they possess. You've truly outdone yourself!"
On the other side of the battlefield, Ivy, composed despite the sudden turn of events, couldn't help but acknowledge Kiran's summoning abilities. Her voice carried a mix of determination and intrigue. "So, this is how Kiran summons his Heroes. It's no wonder my father is determined to capture him, alongside the Divine One's Emblem Rings. This will be a daunting task."
As the Elusian soldiers, led by Princess Ivy, charged toward Brodia Castle, the tension on the battlefield grew palpable. Alear, her grip firm on her sword Libération, readied herself for the impending clash. With a determined voice, she rallied her group. "Everyone, get ready! The time to defend Brodia Castle is upon us!"
Kiran, his Breidablik in hand, stood beside Alear, his voice filled with conviction. "The battle to defend Brodia Castle has begun. Let us stand strong and face this challenge head-on."
Atop a cliff, Ebony, the Shadow Director of the Curse Directive, observed the unfolding conflict. Using one of her cursed bodies, she watched the two opposing forces with a calculated gaze. She murmured to herself, her tone laced with a sense of detachment. "For the time being, I will be content to sit by and watch the battle. Let them clash, and I shall see where the tides of fate lead."
The stage was set, and the opposing forces stood ready for the imminent clash. Alear, Kiran, and their allies prepared to defend Brodia Castle with unwavering determination. Meanwhile, Ebony, ever the enigmatic leader of the Curse Directive, observed from the shadows, her motives hidden beneath a veil of mystery.
Amid the fierce battle to defend Brodia Castle, Alcryst, accompanied by his loyal female retainers, Citrinne and Lapis, found themselves engaged in combat against a battalion of Elusian soldiers. The clash of swords and the cries of war filled the air.
As Citrinne and Lapis skillfully fended off multiple Elusian soldiers, their movements fluid and precise, a sudden threat emerged. An armored knight charged at Alcryst, his Steel Lance raised menacingly. The situation seemed dire.
With urgency in her voice, Lapis called out to Prince Alcryst, her eyes fixed on the approaching armored knight. "Watch out, Prince Alcryst! Be wary of that armored knight!"
Before the armored knight could reach Alcryst, a sudden turn of events unfolded. A swift, well-aimed dagger flew through the air, striking down the armored knight in a single decisive blow.
The battlefield momentarily paused, as all eyes turned to witness the source of the unexpected intervention. The tension dissipated as it became apparent that the threat to Alcryst had been neutralized.
The atmosphere was charged with a mix of relief and curiosity, as Alcryst, Citrinne, and Lapis scanned the battlefield, searching for the mysterious savior. Their minds buzzed with questions, eager to uncover the identity of the individual who had come to their aid.
Then, Cath, with a confident stride, approached Alcryst, Citrinne, and Lapis. Her voice carried a hint of nonchalance as she spoke while twirling her Armorpin Dagger, attempting to lighten the mood. "Don't sweat the small stuff. I'm Cath, a master thief. It's a good thing I managed to strike down that armored knight just in time."
Citrinne, grateful for Cath's timely intervention, voiced her appreciation. "Thank you for saving Prince Alcryst. Your skills are truly remarkable. And may I add, the colors on your outfit suit you?"
Cath, caught off guard by the compliment, awkwardly smiled at Citrinne. Her response hinted at a rare vulnerability. "Well, thank you. I appreciate the kind words. Even a master thief like me isn't used to being thanked like that."
Lapis, sincere in her gratitude, spoke up to express her thanks as well. "Cath, thank you for saving Prince Alcryst's life. Your actions did not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for your assistance."
Alcryst, feeling a weight of responsibility, approached Cath with a tinge of remorse in his voice. "Cath, I'm sorry. I should have reacted faster to that armored knight. I let my guard down."
Cath, ever the voice of reason, offered words of reassurance. "Alcryst, don't be too hard on yourself. We're in the midst of a battle, and there are still enemies to face. We need to stay focused and keep fighting."
Grateful for Cath's understanding, Alcryst nodded appreciatively. "Thank you, Cath. Your words give me strength. We cannot dwell on the past. For the pride of Brodia, we must do our best."
With renewed determination, Alcryst, his two loyal retainers, and Cath prepared themselves for the next challenge. The battlefield called for their unwavering resolve and skill. They stood united, ready to face another battalion of Elusian soldiers and protect the honor and dignity of Brodia.
As the Elusian soldiers charged towards the entrance of Brodia Castle, Alfred, and Celine, alongside their respective retainers, found themselves engaged in a fierce battle. The clash of steel and the cries of war filled the air.
Alfred, his gaze shifting to his loyal retainers, Boucheron and Etie, who fought valiantly against a group of Elusian soldiers, took a moment to assess the situation. With a sense of pride, Celine spoke up, her voice filled with admiration. "Alfred, your retainers are doing remarkably well. They're holding their ground admirably."
Alfred, acknowledging Celine's words, briefly glanced toward her retainers, Louis and Chloe, who were engaged in combat against another group of Elusian soldiers. He returned his attention to Celine and offered his observation. "And your retainers are no exception. They're putting up a great fight as well. They're doing their best."
Alfred and Celine, their weapons at the ready, took notice of a battalion of Elusian soldiers swiftly approaching their position. Alfred gripped his Arcane Qiang tightly, while Celine clasped her Joyous Tome with determination.
Just as the tension in the air began to escalate, a sudden burst of movement caught their attention. Cecilia, riding on horseback, swiftly made her way towards them. With concern in her voice, she called out to Alfred and Celine. "Do you both need my help?"
Alfred and Celine exchanged quick nods, acknowledging Cecilia's offer of assistance. With unwavering confidence, Cecilia unleashed the power of her Tome of Order. Conjuring a powerful wind blast, she sent several Elusian soldiers flying, their momentum abruptly halted.
As the soldiers were knocked back, Cecilia's voice rang out, filled with a mix of triumph and determination. "Never underestimate me!"
Alfred's smile beamed with gratitude as he turned to Cecilia. "Thank you. Your help is greatly appreciated."
Celine, her curiosity piqued, chimed in, directing her question to Cecilia. "Are you a Hero like us?" she asked, seeking to understand the extent of Cecilia's abilities.
Cecilia's smile widened, a glimmer of pride evident in her eyes. She confirmed Celine's inquiry. "Yes, I am. My name is Cecilia, the Mage General of Eturia. Kiran himself has summoned me to aid in this battle. We are comrades in arms."
Cecilia's response brought a sense of camaraderie and unity to their group. However, she swiftly reminded them of the pressing matter at hand. "We can chat later," she said, her voice filled with urgency. "More enemies are approaching. Let's focus on the task at hand."
With determination in their hearts, Alfred, Celine, and Cecilia readied their weapons once again. As another battalion of Elusian soldiers charged toward the gates of Brodia Castle, their resolve remained unyielding.
On the other side of the battlefield, Diamant and Amber fought valiantly against a squad of Elusian soldiers. Amber, mounted on his horse, wielded his Killer Lance with precision, swiftly taking down the enemies in his path. Amid the chaos, his keen eyes caught sight of two Elusian mages preparing to unleash their spells upon Diamant.
With urgency in his voice, Amber called out to Prince Diamant, warning him of the imminent danger. "Prince Diamant, watch out!"
Before Diamant could react, a sudden burst of fireballs erupted from the distance, striking the two Elusian mages with force and knocking them down. Both Diamant and Amber turned their attention towards the source of the unexpected intervention.
To their pleasant surprise, it was Lilina who had cast the fireballs, her magical prowess on full display. Roy stood by her side with his Binding Blade ready, providing support and assistance. The realization of their allies' presence brought a sense of relief and renewed determination to Diamant and Amber.
As the two Elusian mages struggled to recover from the force of Lilina's fireball attacks, she stood tall, her confidence radiating.
"I call upon fire!" she declared, her voice filled with determination. Casting a massive fireball from her Forblaze Tome, she directed it toward the mages, engulfing them in an inferno with a single blast. The Elusian mages were blown away, their presence vanquished.
Then, a lone Elusian soldier wielding a Steel Axe charged at Lilina, but Roy intercepted the assault and blocked the attack using the Binding Blade.
"I won't lose. I won't!" Roy declared as he performed a riposte attack on the Elusian soldier, defeating them in two strikes.
With the threat neutralized, Roy and Lilina made their way toward Diamant and Amber, joining forces once again. As they approached, Roy said to both Diamant and Amber. "I'm glad to see you're all unharmed. I'm Roy, and this is Lilina."
"We thought you two could use some help," Lilina added. "That's why we ran towards the two of you as fast as we could."
"My thanks to you two," Diamant directed his words toward Roy and Lilina, his voice filled with admiration. "And it's a huge honor to meet the real Roy."
At that moment, Emblem Roy manifested himself from Diamant's Emblem Ring. He acknowledged Diamant's words with a hint of surprise. "It is indeed strange to meet my real counterpart," he responded, his voice carrying a mix of curiosity and gratitude. "But I am glad nonetheless."
As the squadron of Elusian soldiers charged towards them, Emblem Roy turned to Diamant, a determined look on his face. "It's time," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "We must unleash the power of the Emblem Ring."
Diamant nodded in agreement, his resolve matching that of Emblem Roy. "I agree," he replied, his voice steady. With a deep breath, he chanted the words, "Emblem Engage!"
In an instant, a surge of energy enveloped Diamant, transforming him into his Engage form. Roy, Lilina, and Amber stood in awe, their eyes wide with amazement. Roy, his voice filled with wonder, spoke up. "This is my first time witnessing someone engaging with an Emblem. It's truly remarkable."
Lilina, her voice filled with determination, suggested their course of action. "We should fend off the incoming enemy squadron. They're attempting to charge into the castle gates again," she said, her gaze focused on the approaching soldiers.
Diamant, his newfound power coursing through his veins, agreed wholeheartedly. "You're right, Lilina," he replied, his voice laced with determination. "Let's push back the enemy and protect the Brodia Castle. For the pride of Brodia!"
With a shared understanding and a united front, Diamant, Amber, Roy, and Lilina prepared themselves for the impending clash, with the air crackling with anticipation as the Elusian soldiers closed in, their weapons at the ready.
As Alear, Kiran, and Yunaka swiftly took down one Elusian soldier after another, their determination unwavering, they continued their steady march toward Ivy. The battlefield was a flurry of action, their combined strength and skills being put to the test.
Suddenly, a group of Corrupted emerged from the ground, charging directly at Alear and Kiran. The ground shook beneath their feet as the menacing figures closed in. However, Alear and Kiran swiftly reacted, fighting off the Corrupted with skill and precision.
Breathing heavily, Alear observed the situation, her voice filled with a mix of frustration and determination. "Even the Corrupted show up now," she stated, her words laced with a touch of annoyance.
"Zappy!" Yunaka agreed. "Even these Corrupted can get annoying when they show up too often."
Kiran, his mind quick to find a solution, spoke up. "I can summon an additional Hero to bolster our forces," he suggested, his voice confident and determined.
Alear, recognizing the potential advantage, nodded in agreement. "Yes, Kiran. We can use the help of an additional Hero," she replied, her voice filled with a renewed sense of hope. "We'll need all the help we can get."
"Kiran," Baldraz spoke in Kiran's mind. "It is time to summon a certain Hero from the Kingdom of Nifl."
Kiran smiled when he heard Baldraz's advice, the Breidablik in his hand glowing with a brilliant blue light. With a determined expression, he aimed the legendary relic toward the ground and unleashed a powerful orb of blue energy.
As the blue orb soared through the air, Kiran's voice rang out with conviction. "Gathering starts to call upon the Second Princess of the Kingdom of Nifl Become the path its light shines upon!"
The atmosphere around Alear, Kiran, and Yunaka suddenly grew colder, a subtle chill permeating the air. Kiran continued his incantation, his voice carrying a sense of anticipation. "Hero Summon! I bring forth Fjorm, Princess of Ice!"
The blue orb transformed into a swirling portal, its ethereal glow captivating the onlookers. From within the portal, Fjorm gracefully leaped out, landing by Kiran's side with a sense of purpose and determination.
Fjorm, standing beside Kiran, turned towards him with a warm smile. "I am Fjorm, Princess of Nifl, the Kingdom of Ice," she introduced herself, her voice carrying a regal tone. "I am pleased to rejoin your side, Kiran."
"Thank you for heeding my summons," Kiran replied. "It's good to fight alongside you once again, Fjorm."
Alear, her eyes widening with recognition, spoke up. "Princess Fjorm, is it? I believe I saw you back in the Kingdom of Askr," she said, her voice filled with a sense of familiarity. "I think I saw you wandering around Askr's libraries."
Fjorm nodded, acknowledging Alear's words. "Indeed, I have fought alongside Kiran and the Order of Heroes," she confirmed, her voice steady. "It's good to meet with you properly, Alear."
Yunaka, her curiosity piqued, approached Fjorm with a friendly smile. "Hiya Papaya! It's a pleasure to meet a new Hero like you, Fjorm," she greeted, her voice warm and welcoming.
Fjorm returned the smile, her eyes sparkling with gratitude. "The honor is mine," she replied graciously. "It's truly a pleasure to meet Kiran's new friends here in Elyos."
As they continued going forward, Alear, Kiran, Fjorm, and Yunaka came to a halt as two men emerged, blocking their path. Kiran's eyes narrowed as he assessed the situation, his voice filled with a hint of assumption.
"Alear, I believe these two are Ivy's retainers," Kiran stated, his words carrying a sense of certainty.
Alear nodded in agreement, her gaze fixed on the two men before them. "It seems likely," she replied, her voice tinged with a touch of caution.
The man dressed in a black cloak stepped forward, his presence exuding an air of mystery. "I am Zelkov, *retainer* to Princess Ivy," he introduced himself, his voice cold and detached. "That is all you *need* to know."
Beside him, the man adorned in traditional Eastern attire spoke up, his voice filled with a confident challenge. "I am Kagetsu," he introduced himself, his tone revealing a hint of excitement. "If you wish to confront Princess Ivy, you must first defeat both me and Zelkov in battle."
As Zelkov and Kagetsu stood between Alear's group and Ivy, Yunaka's voice carried a hint of confidence as she addressed Alear and Kiran. "I can handle Zelkov," she said, her determination shining through her words.
Fjorm chimed in, her voice strong and resolute. "And Kiran, I shall battle Kagetsu," she proclaimed as she gripped her lance, Leiptr, with her icy resolve evident. "You and Alear should go ahead."
Alear, grateful for their willingness to face the retainers head-on, spoke up. "Thank you, Yunaka, and Princess Fjorm," she said, her voice filled with appreciation. "Be careful, and may victory be on your side."
Kiran nodded in agreement, his voice filled with conviction. "Indeed, we'll leave Zelkov and Kagetsu in your capable hands," he declared, his words carrying a sense of trust.
With Yunaka and Fjorm engaged in combat with Ivy's retainers, Alear and Kiran wasted no time. Side by side, they swiftly made their way towards Ivy, their determination pushing them forward.
As Alear and Kiran closed in on Ivy, the intense clash between Yunaka and Zelkov continued. Daggers whizzed through the air as the two engaged in a deadly dance of skill and precision.
Yunaka, her voice filled with a mixture of admiration and curiosity, spoke out amidst the chaos. "You have the same killer instincts as I do," she remarked, her words carrying a note of intrigue. "Did we perhaps have similar careers in the past?"
Zelkov, his focus unwavering, responded with a hint of acknowledgment. "It does *seem* that way," he admitted, his voice laced with a touch of respect.
The exchange of daggers between Yunaka and Zelkov intensified, each strike a testament to their skill and determination. The fight between them seemed to reach a crescendo, with neither combatant gaining the upper hand.
Their clash had reached a stalemate, the air around them heavy with tension. The fierce adversaries held their ground, locked in a battle of equals, neither willing to back down.
As the daggers continued to fly, the clash between Yunaka and Zelkov remained at a standstill. The outcome of their duel hung in the balance, each moment fraught with anticipation and uncertainty.
Yunaka, her voice laced with admiration, spoke to Zelkov, acknowledging his formidable skill. "You're just as skilled with daggers as I am," she declared, her words filled with a sense of respect.
Zelkov, his expression betraying a hint of begrudging acceptance, replied to Yunaka's observation. "As much as I *loathe* admitting it, you are *right* about me," he admitted, his voice tinged with a begrudging tone.
Yunaka, undeterred by Zelkov's response, readied her daggers with unwavering focus. She met his gaze, her eyes gleaming with determination. "Let's see who truly reigns supreme in the art of throwing daggers," she challenged, her voice filled with confidence.
Zelkov, remaining silent, poised himself and readied his dagger. The tension in the air grew palpable as the two skilled adversaries prepared for their ultimate test of skill.
Meanwhile, the clash of steel echoed through the air as Kagetsu's blade met Fjorm's lance, Leiptr. Frost coated Kagetsu's weapon as it collided with the icy power emanating from Fjorm's formidable weapon.
Kagetsu, his voice filled with curiosity, spoke to Fjorm amidst their clash. "Tell me, what is it that you fight for?" he asked, his words carrying a hint of intrigue.
Fjorm, her determination unwavering, replied with unwavering conviction. "I am Fjorm, the Princess of the Kingdom of Nifl, and I fight for the sake of Kiran Pathfinder," she stated firmly, her voice filled with loyalty.
Kagetsu, his blade still locked with Fjorm's lance, revealed his motivations. "I am Kagetsu, and I fight as a retainer for Princess Ivy," he revealed, his voice carrying a sense of duty. "If only we would meet under friendlier circumstances, but it seems we both share a desire to protect someone."
He paused for a moment, his gaze locked with Fjorm's. "Let this battle determine whose resolve is stronger," he declared, his voice filled with determination and a hint of respect.
Fjorm's grip on her Leiptr tightened as Kagetsu's grip tightened around his Wo Dao sword as he readied himself for the next strike. With a determined glint in his eyes, he addressed Fjorm, his voice brimming with anticipation. "Here I come," he announced, his words filled with confidence.
With lightning speed, Kagetsu launched his attack, his Wo Dao slicing through the air. However, Fjorm was swift to react, raising her Leiptr to block his powerful strike. The clash of their weapons reverberated through the battlefield.
As Kagetsu observed his blade being enveloped in a layer of frost, Fjorm prepared herself for the next exchange. She met Kagetsu's gaze, her voice steady and resolute. "Are you ready?" she challenged with her words carrying an air of determination.
Without hesitation, Fjorm lunged forward, her lance leading the charge. In a resounding declaration, she announced her attack. "Leiptr, Lance of Ice!" she proclaimed, her voice filled with unwavering conviction.
As Fjorm struck back against Kagestu, the area was suddenly covered in a thick, cold fog, making it hard to discern who came out as the victor in that fight.
As Alear and Kiran took a determined step forward, ready to face Ivy, the enemy herself spoke up. "It's time for me to step in," she declared, her voice laced with confidence as she stepped down from her wyvern and landed on the ground.
In Ivy's hands, the Ring of the Sage Lord gleamed with power, a symbol of her formidable abilities. She raised it high, her voice resolute as she made her declaration. "With my Emblem Ring, I won't be bested so easily," she proclaimed, her words carrying an air of determination.
Harnessing the power of her Emblem Ring, Ivy used its magic to transform the Ring of the Sage Lord into a Master Lance. The weapon now held firmly in her hands, she prepared herself for the impending battle, her resolve unyielding.
Not one to be outdone, Alear took action. Activating the Ring of the Hero-King, she called upon its power, her voice ringing out with determination. "Emblem Engage!" she declared, her words infused with conviction.
In an instant, Alear underwent a transformation, her form shifting into her Engage form. With newfound strength and abilities, she stood tall, ready to face Ivy head-on.
Alear's leap propelled her towards Ivy, wielding her powerful Libération. The clash of their weapons echoed through the air as the two warriors engaged in a fierce exchange. Ivy skillfully parried Alear's attack, her movements precise and calculated.
With a slight smile on her face, Ivy addressed Alear, her voice filled with a hint of amusement. "Divine One, it's a pleasure to see you up close," she remarked, her words carrying a touch of intrigue.
Alear, undeterred by Ivy's comment, responded with a firm tone. "I suggest you return the Emblem Ring you're using," she stated, her voice laced with determination.
Ivy, her expression shifting slightly, offered a brief apology. "I'm afraid I can't do that," she replied, her voice tinged with a hint of regret.
Without warning, Ivy swiftly executed a riposte attack, catching Alear off guard and sending her flying back several feet. The impact jolted Alear, momentarily disorienting her.
Seizing the opportunity, Ivy redirected her attention towards Kiran, launching an attack on him.
"Kiran!" Alear exclaimed. "Watch out!"
Reacting swiftly, Kiran swiftly transformed his Dire Breidablik into its Axe form, using it to block Ivy's incoming strike. As Kiran skillfully blocked Ivy's attack with his Axe Breidablik, he couldn't help but question Ivy's motives. "Why does Elusia want to capture me and steal the remaining Emblem Rings?" he asked, his voice filled with a mix of curiosity and concern.
Ivy, her expression softening slightly, responded to Kiran's inquiry. "I am merely following my father's orders," she explained, her voice carrying a touch of resignation. "My father has expressed interest in you and your abilities."
Undeterred, Kiran pressed on, his voice filled with conviction. "You cannot blindly follow your father's orders," he asserted. "Have you considered the possibility that he might be sending you into a battle you cannot win, especially against the Divine One herself?"
The weight of Kiran's words momentarily caught Ivy off-guard. Her gaze wavered as she contemplated Kiran's words, their impact sinking in. The realization that her father's orders might not always be in her best interest began to dawn on her, casting a shadow of doubt over her unwavering loyalty.
As Ivy's attention wavered, Kiran seized the opportunity to counterattack. With swift precision, he unleashed a powerful strike using his Axe Breidablik, aiming to catch Ivy off guard. However, Ivy managed to barely block his attack, her skill and reflexes keeping her in the fight.
Taking advantage of the moment, Kiran directed his voice towards Alear, his tone filled with determination. "Now is the time," he said, his words conveying a sense of urgency and readiness.
Alear, fueled by Kiran's words, leaped towards Ivy with unwavering resolve. With a fierce declaration, she proclaimed, "This ends now!" Her attack, fueled by her determination, struck with unrelenting force.
Ivy's grip on her Master Lance faltered, unable to withstand the strength behind Alear's assault. The Lance was sent flying from Ivy's hands, embedding itself firmly into the ground. As it landed, the Master Lance reverted back to its original form, revealing itself as the Emblem Ring it once was.
A sense of defeat washed over Ivy as Alear swiftly moved to pick up the Ring of the Sage Lord. A grimace formed on Ivy's face as she recognized her failure.
"How could I have failed?" Ivy muttered, her voice filled with frustration and disappointment. The realization of her defeat and the loss of the Emblem Ring weighed heavily on her as the battle took an unexpected turn.
Then, Ivy's two loyal retainers, Zelkov and Kagetsu, returned to her side, and the trio formed a united front. Zelkov, his voice filled with a hint of frustration, spoke to Ivy, recounting his recent defeat. "I was *bested* in battle and had to retreat," he admitted, his tone tinged with a sense of disappointment.
Kagetsu, standing beside Zelkov, added his own account of the battle. "Kiran summoned a Hero that proved to be my match. I think her name is Fjorm," he explained, his voice carrying a touch of admiration. "She even coated my blades with frost with her lance, making it even more challenging for me to gain the upper hand."
Meanwhile, Alear and Kiran's allies regrouped, aligning themselves with their formidable comrades. Among them, Diamant, with a calm yet firm demeanor, approached Ivy. "It's time to surrender," he stated, his voice holding a note of reason.
Ivy, however, remained resolute in her stance. With a steely determination, she replied, her voice steady. "I cannot surrender," she declared. "There is more for me to do."
Concerned for Ivy's well-being, Kiran addressed her, his voice filled with urgency. "Princess Ivy, you need to at least question your father as to why he would send you into battles that involve Alear herself," he urged, his words carrying a sense of empathy.
Ivy turned her gaze towards Kiran, studying him for a moment. A small smile formed on her lips as she spoke, her tone filled with a mix of admiration and acknowledgment.
"Kiran Pathfinder, you're an interesting man," Ivy stated, her voice holding a hint of intrigue. "And just as worthy an opponent as the Divine One herself."
With her momentary diversion, Ivy made a swift decision. Turning her back to the battlefield, she mounted her wyvern, ready to make her retreat. "I will withdraw from this battle," she declared, her voice resolute. "Zelkov, Kagetsu, we're leaving."
Acknowledging that the battle's tide had turned against her, Ivy chose to regroup and reassess her situation. With her two loyal retainers by her side, she prepared to depart from the battlefield, leaving her opponents to contemplate her motives and the mysteries that still surrounded her.
As Ivy and her two retainers hastily retreated from the battlefield, Alear turned to Kiran, her expression curious. "Why did you ask those questions to Ivy?" she inquired, her voice filled with genuine curiosity.
Kiran met Alear's gaze, his eyes reflecting a mixture of contemplation and understanding. "Both Ivy and Hortensia were simply following their father's orders," he explained, his voice calm and measured. "Sometimes, circumstances dictate our actions, even if they may not align with our true desires."
Alear nodded, her understanding evident. "I remember what you said during the battle on the Grand Crossing," she recalled, her voice tinged with a hint of nostalgia. "You mentioned the possibility of Ivy, Hortensia, and their retainers becoming allies."
Kiran nodded in agreement, his words carrying a sense of hope. "Indeed, there is a possibility for that," he confirmed. "In the midst of conflict, alliances can shift and new possibilities can arise."
Upon hearing Kiran's explanation. Alear's eyes sparkled with optimism as she let out a smile.
"I hope you're right, Kiran," Alear said earnestly, her voice filled with a genuine desire for unity and understanding amidst the chaos of battle.
As the battle of Brodia Castle concluded, the potential for alliances to form and bridges to be built held the promise of a different outcome, one that could reshape the course of their journey.
As Alear's Engage form faded away, she returned to her normal form, catching Kiran's attention. Observing her closely, he noticed that she held the Emblem Ring of the Sage Lord, which once belonged to Ivy.
Curiosity piqued, Alear examined the emblem closely, her brow furrowing with concern. "The Ring of the Sage Lord has been tainted," she stated, her voice laced with a mix of disappointment and determination. "It carries the lingering energies of Fell Dragon Sombron."
Understanding the gravity of the situation, Kiran nodded, his expression serious. "It seems we have quite the task ahead of us," he acknowledged. "Purifying the Emblem Ring will undoubtedly require time and care."
Alear nodded in agreement, her gaze focused on the tainted emblem in her hand. "Indeed," she replied, her voice resolute. "I will need some time to purify the Ring of the Sage Lord, but rest assured, I will do everything in my power to cleanse it."
Baldraz's voice resonated in Kiran's mind, delivering a crucial piece of information. "The Breidablik can aid Alear in purifying the corrupted Emblem Rings," he conveyed, his words carrying a sense of hope. "It has absorbed the leftover energies from the Emblems themselves."
Armed with this newfound knowledge, Kiran turned to Alear, determination etched on his face. "I can help you purify the Ring of the Sage Lord," he offered, his voice filled with confidence. "With the power of the Breidablik, we have a chance to cleanse it."
Alear's smile widened, a glimmer of gratitude shining in her eyes. "It's worth the risk," she affirmed, her voice steady. The opportunity to rid the Ring of the Sage Lord of its corruption was too important to pass up.
The onlookers, fully aware of the significance of this endeavor, watched with bated breath. Their eyes fixed on Alear and Kiran as they joined forces, their hands touching the tainted emblem. With their combined strength and the power of the Breidablik, they began their attempt to purify the Ring of the Sage Lord.
As Kiran aimed the Breidablik at the corrupted Emblem Ring and unleashed a powerful energy beam, Alear's voice rose in a chant. "Free us, Emblem of Genealogy!" she called out, her words filled with determination and purpose.
In response to the incantation, a figure materialized from the purified Ring of the Sage Lord. Emblem Leif, now free from the corruption, stood before them. With a grateful smile, he spoke, acknowledging Alear and Kiran's efforts. "Thank you for purifying me," he expressed, his voice filled with genuine appreciation. "I am Emblem Leif, and I am here to lend my power in retrieving the remaining Emblem Rings."
Yunaka, observing the successful purification, couldn't contain her excitement. "Zappy! Alear and Kiran, you did it!" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with awe and admiration. The sight of the Emblem Ring restored filled her with hope and renewed determination.
Diamant, his eyes wide with astonishment, voiced his amazement at witnessing Alear and Kiran purify the Ring of the Sage Lord. "This is the first time I have seen such an act," he marveled, his voice filled with awe and curiosity.
Fjorm, intrigued by the display of power, added her observation. "Indeed, this is also my first time seeing Kiran use his Breidablik in such a manner," she admitted, her voice tinged with a mix of wonder and respect.
Engaging in conversation, Diamant turned to Fjorm, his curiosity piqued. "Are you one of the Heroes that Kiran has summoned?" he inquired, his voice filled with genuine interest.
Fjorm nodded, confirming his assumption. "Yes, I am," she replied, her tone proud and resolute. "I am Fjorm, the Princess of Nifl, one of the Nine Realms of Zenith. I am a Hero loyal to Kiran."
Then, Kiran turned towards Alear, his expression serious. "I need to address the Heroes we summoned today," he stated, his voice filled with determination. Alear nodded in agreement, understanding the importance of communication and coordination among their allies.
His attention then shifted to Roy, Lilina, Cecilia, and Cath, standing nearby. "The four of you should return to Askr," Kiran suggested, his tone authoritative. "Report the details of the battle to Commander Anna."
Cecilia, always dutiful, responded promptly. "I will inform Commander Anna as you have asked," she affirmed, her voice carrying a sense of responsibility and loyalty.
Cath, ever the mischievous one, couldn't resist chiming in. "You can always count on me, Kiran," she said playfully, a smirk crossing her lips. "Summon me anytime you need a hand, and maybe I can even help you acquire some valuable treasures along the way."
Diamant, his eyes filled with admiration, turned to Roy, his voice hopeful. "Roy, may I have the honor of fighting alongside you someday once again?" he inquired, his tone earnest.
Roy met Diamant's gaze, a small smile playing on his lips. "If Kiran summons me again in Elyos, that possibility may become a reality," he responded, his voice carrying a hint of anticipation.
Lilina, standing nearby, couldn't resist adding to the conversation. "Diamant, that possibility may be closer than you think," she chimed in, her voice filled with optimism.
Roy turned his attention back to Diamant, his expression warm yet tinged with a hint of melancholy. "Until Kiran summons me to Elyos once again," he said, his voice tinged with a touch of farewell, "it's farewell for now."
With that final exchange, the four Elibe Heroes - Diamant, Roy, Lilina, and the others - bid Elyos farewell, disappearing into motes of light. Their journey, for now, had come to a temporary conclusion, but their paths were destined to cross again.
Kiran's gaze shifted towards Fjorm, his voice gentle yet concerned. "Fjorm, you know you can return to Askr if you want," he suggested, his words carrying a sense of consideration.
Fjorm, her determination unwavering, shook her head in response. "No, Kiran," she replied firmly, her voice filled with resolve. "Ever since I saw Ivy attack you, I have insisted on staying in Elyos to protect you from any future threats."
Kiran let out a sigh, a mixture of gratitude and acceptance. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "Alright, Fjorm," he relented, his voice filled with appreciation. "You can stay here to protect me, at least for now."
Fjorm's eyes sparkled with gratitude as she replied, her voice filled with sincerity. "Thank you, Kiran," she expressed, her words laced with heartfelt appreciation. "I am honored to stay and protect you in Elyos."
A Brodian soldier sprinted towards Alear and Kiran's group, a look of urgency etched on his face. Gasping for breath, he managed to speak, his voice filled with urgency. "I have urgent news from the border," he exclaimed, his words carrying a sense of importance.
Diamant, sensing the gravity of the situation, directed his attention to the soldier. "What is the situation?" he inquired, his tone serious and focused.
The Brodian soldier quickly explained, his words rushed yet coherent. "Another Elusian battalion has been spotted at the border," he revealed, his voice laced with concern. "And leading that battalion is none other than King Hyacinth of Elusia himself."
Kiran, his expression shifting, interjected with a remark. "King Hyacinth," he mused, his voice tinged with a mix of surprise and recognition. "He is Ivy and Hortensia's father, isn't he?" he asked, seeking confirmation.
Alear nodded, acknowledging Kiran's observation. "Yes, that's correct," she affirmed, her voice steady and unwavering.
The Brodian soldier continued to relay the urgent message. "King Hyacinth demands to see King Morion," he explained, his tone echoing the gravity of the situation.
Morion, the King of Brodia, stepped forward with determination etched upon his face. "I have to confront Hyacinth," he declared, his voice resolute and unwavering. "Anything less would be dishonorable to Brodia."
Diamant, his concern evident, spoke up, his voice filled with worry. "Father, you're being baited into a trap," he cautioned, his words laced with urgency. "Please, go back to Brodia Castle. It's too dangerous to face Hyacinth head-on."
Morion's lips curled into a smirk, his confidence unwavering. "I can spring any trap Hyacinth brings and fight my way out," he asserted, his voice brimming with determination.
Diamant's eyes pleaded with his father, his voice tinged with a mix of desperation and concern. "Father, please reconsider," he implored, his words carrying a sense of genuine worry. "There must be another way, a safer way to resolve this."
Morion, his gaze steady, addressed his son with a hint of understanding in his voice. "You're worried about Brodia losing the war, or worse, losing its king," he remarked, his words carrying a sense of empathy.
Diamant briefly closed his eyes, a mix of emotions crossing his face. As he opened his eyes once more, his voice held a touch of vulnerability. "Since my youth, I was always told that I would lead Brodia when you pass on," he admitted, his tone tinged with a hint of resignation.
He continued, his voice filled with a mix of determination and sadness. "I have been forced to anticipate your death, Father, so that I could step up and lead Brodia in your place," he confessed, his words revealing the weight of the responsibility he had been burdened with.
Morion's expression softened as he listened to his son's words, a glimmer of pride shining in his eyes. He understood the pressure that Diamant had been carrying, the weight of expectations placed upon his shoulders from a young age.
As Morion listened intently to his son, Diamant, Diamant's voice broke the silence. "Father, the Fell Dragon has returned," he began, his voice tinged with concern. "With the war looming on the horizon, the future seems uncertain."
Morion, his gaze steady, replied with a voice filled with conviction. "All people will die someday, Diamant," he stated, his tone resolute yet comforting. "But Brodia must live on, to survive and endure."
Diamant attempted to reason with his father, his voice filled with a mix of desperation and genuine concern. "But Father, we can't simply rely on tradition and the passing of responsibility," he argued, his words carrying a touch of urgency.
Morion's expression softened, his voice filled with wisdom. "It is the duty of a parent to teach a child everything they know," he said, his words carrying a weight of responsibility. "And eventually, we must pass on the responsibility, to entrust the future to the next generation."
While Diamant and Morion engaged in their conversation, Kiran's gaze shifted between them, his expression somber and contemplative. Sensing his melancholy, Fjorm turned to Kiran, her voice filled with empathy. "Does this remind you of the time when Alfonse lost his father, Gustav?" she asked, her words laced with understanding.
Kiran's eyes met Fjorm's, a hint of sadness flickering within them. "I could never forget that day," he responded, his voice carrying a mix of sorrow and determination. "When the Order of Heroes was forced to fight against Gustav, who had been forcibly resurrected by Hel as her general."
Meanwhile, Alear, observing the exchange between Kiran and Fjorm, looked at Kiran with a wistful expression, acknowledging the hardships the Order of Heroes had endured during that time.
"Kiran..." Alear muttered, with her voice filled with understanding and compassion.
Then, Morion, his voice filled with determination and resolve, spoke to his son, Diamant. "I will fight bravely for Brodia," he declared, his words carrying an air of unwavering courage. "I am not afraid to die in battle, for our kingdom and its people."
Diamant listened to his father, his eyes reflecting a mix of admiration and concern. Morion's next words caught him off guard, as he admitted his vulnerability.
"But I am afraid," Morion confessed, his voice tinged with a touch of vulnerability. "I fear being known as a king who runs away from battle, who shies away from his duty."
As the weight of Morion's words settled in the air, he turned to Alcryst, seeking his thoughts. "What are your thoughts, Alcryst, my son?" Morion inquired, his gaze shifting towards his loyal ally.
Alcryst, his voice strong and resolute, replied without hesitation. "I will protect my older brother, Diamant, to the bitter end," he affirmed, his words surprising Diamant and filling the space with a renewed sense of determination.
Morion, a warm smile playing on his lips, addressed his sons, Diamant and Alcryst, with a sense of wisdom in his voice. "You two should learn a thing or two from each other," he remarked, his words carrying a hint of pride. "There is strength in unity and in the lessons we can glean from one another."
His gaze shifted between Diamant and Alcryst as he continued, his voice steady yet gentle. "Fear must be acknowledged," Morion advised, his words carrying a touch of wisdom. "But it must not rule your hearts. It is in acknowledging fear that true courage can be found."
Kiran, interjecting into the conversation, offered his insight. "Courage isn't the absence of fear," he interjected, his voice filled with conviction. "True courage is facing your fears head-on, despite being scared."
Morion's laughter filled the air, a heartfelt chuckle escaping him. "Kiran is right," he agreed, his voice laced with appreciation. "Courage lies not in the absence of fear, but in the strength to confront our fears, to rise above them."
Diamant, frustration evident in his voice, spoke to his father, Morion.
"Father, it seems I cannot dissuade you from this path," he admitted, his tone tinged with a mix of resignation and determination. Clenching his right hand into a tight fist, he declared, "Nevertheless, we will show Elusia why Brodia is known as the Kingdom of Might."
Morion, a sense of purpose radiating from him, turned his attention to Alear. "I look forward to sparring with you once I return," he said, his voice filled with anticipation.
Alear, her voice carrying a hint of hope, replied, "I hope that is the case, King Morion." In her response, a mix of longing and uncertainty lingered, unsure of what the future held for them all.
Morion, his gaze unwavering, spoke with determination. "It is time for me to head out and confront King Hyacinth and his army," he declared, his voice filled with resolve. The weight of the impending battle hung in the air, as the fate of Brodia rested upon his shoulders.
As King Morion left the castle, accompanied by his soldiers, Kiran turned to Alear, his voice filled with a sense of pragmatism. "In the face of uncertainty, it's best to adapt to the situation," he advised, his words carrying a tone of wisdom.
Fjorm, nodding in agreement, chimed in. "Kiran is right. We must be flexible and adjust our strategies as needed," she added, her voice reflecting a sense of determination.
Alear, acknowledging their words, spoke with conviction. "We will all face uncertainty together and adapt accordingly," she affirmed, her voice filled with resolve.
Meanwhile, atop a cliff overlooking the battlefield, Ebony, the Shadow Director of the Curse Directive, observed the entire battle unfold using one of her cursed bodies.
"I've seen this battle through its entirety," Ebony mused. "I must take my leave..."
With a snap of her fingers, Ebony teleported away from the area, leaving behind only a pool of darkness, satisfied with the events she had observed.
And there you have it! This is the latest chapter of Emblems and Heroes!
To all the people who offered advice in brainstorming this story, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
And here are two Stingers this time...
Back in the Kingdom of Askr, Commander Anna sat in her quarters, engrossed in the report sent by Cecilia - one of the Heroes summoned by Kiran from the world of Elibe, along with Roy, Lilina, and Cath. The room was filled with an air of anticipation and curiosity as she delved into the details of their latest mission.
Just as she was immersed in her reading, Alfonse and Sharena entered Commander Anna's room, their presence breaking her concentration. Sharena, her voice filled with a hint of concern, spoke up. "Fjorm isn't around the castle today," she noted, her words carrying a tinge of curiosity.
Commander Anna looked up from the report, her expression thoughtful. "Fjorm insisted on staying in Elyos to protect Kiran," she replied, her voice reflecting a mix of admiration and understanding. Fjorm's unwavering loyalty towards Kiran was well-known, and it didn't come as a surprise to Anna.
Alfonse, a sense of appreciation in his voice, added his perspective. "Fjorm always shows her loyalty towards Kiran," he affirmed, his words filled with respect for both Fjorm's dedication and her unwavering commitment to their cause.
Then, Gunnthra, Ylgr, and Hrid, Fjorm's siblings, entered Commander Anna's room, their presence bringing a sense of family unity to the space.
Ylgr, her voice filled with longing, expressed her desire to be with her sister, Fjorm. "I want to go to Elyos and be with Fjorm," she said, her words tinged with a mix of determination and worry.
Gunnthra, the eldest of the siblings, responded with a calm and measured tone. "We can only go to Elyos if Kiran specifically summons us," she explained, her words carrying a hint of caution.
Hrid, his voice filled with concern, chimed in. "Even if I am not the same Hrid from this world, I worry about Fjorm and Kiran," he admitted, his words laced with a sense of protectiveness.
Sharena, ever cheerful, interjected with a hopeful tone. "With Fjorm already in Elyos, Kiran will summon any one of us sooner than we think," she exclaimed, her words expressing optimism and excitement. Her belief in Kiran's summoning abilities filled the room with a renewed sense of anticipation.
With Sharena's words giving them a sense of hope, Gunnthra, Ylgr, and Hrid stood together, ready to support one another and eagerly awaiting the day when they would be summoned to join their sister in Elyos, united in their determination to protect and support Fjorm and Kiran.
At the same time, Veronica, the Princess Rising of the Emblian Empire, sat in her chamber, engrossed in the letter written by Commander Anna. The contents of the letter revealed troubling news about the Curse Directive, a group that had changed leadership since the death of Veronica's sister-figure, Letizia. The new leader, a woman named Ebony, had been causing trouble for Kiran in Elyos, and this deeply concerned Veronica.
As she finished reading the letter, Veronica let out a sigh, her expression reflecting a mix of sadness and worry. "Ever since the death of my Sissy Letizia, the Curse Directive fell into the hands of Ebony," she murmured, her voice filled with a hint of sorrow. The loss of her sister still weighed heavily on her heart, and the knowledge that the group had taken a dangerous turn under Ebony's leadership only added to her distress.
Veronica's concern for Kiran, the Summoner who had been her former enemy and now a close friend and ally, was evident as she continued, her voice tinged with genuine worry. "Ebony has been antagonizing Kiran in Elyos," she confided, her words carrying a sense of unease and apprehension. The thought of Kiran facing such adversities in a far-off world troubled her deeply, for she knew the strength and potential of Kiran.
Brave Veronica, one of Veronica's alternate selves summoned by Kiran, voiced her concern about the reappearance of the Curse Directive after a period of relative silence. "It seems the Curse Directive has shown itself again," she mused, her voice filled with a mix of worry and determination.
Veronica herself nodded in agreement, acknowledging the presence of the dangerous group. "Indeed, they have managed to hide themselves quite well," she replied, her voice carrying a note of frustration. The elusive nature of the Curse Directive presented a challenge, as uncovering their location would require time and effort.
Brave Veronica, her resolve shining through, responded with a sense of duty. "As Heroes, it is our responsibility to protect Kiran from Ebony and the Curse Directive," she declared, her voice filled with unwavering determination.
Veronica, sharing her Brave self's commitment, affirmed their shared goal. "Yes, we must do our part and ensure Kiran's safety," she agreed, her voice reflecting a sense of loyalty and determination.
At that moment, the two versions of Veronica stood united in their purpose. They recognized the threat posed by Ebony and the Curse Directive, and their shared resolve to shield Kiran from harm. As Heroes bound by their summoner's side, they prepared themselves for the challenges that lay ahead, ready to face the shadows that threatened their world and protect Kiran at any cost.
