Welcome to the latest chapter of Emblems and Heroes!

The Fire Emblem franchise belongs to Intelligent Systems. I am writing this crossover only for the readers' fun, entertainment, and enjoyment.

Now, let us begin this chapter.

Amidst the deck of an Elusian warship sailing steadfastly towards the Kingdom of Firene, Zephia approached Evil Veyle, and the sun cast a golden hue upon their faces as they exchanged tense words.

As the leader of the Four Hounds, Zephia shared the intelligence gleaned from Mauvier and Marni's recent reconnaissance mission. "Lady Veyle," she revealed. "Reports indicate that the Ring of the Azure Twins has fallen into the possession of the Divine One and Kiran Pathfinder."

Evil Veyle's lips twisted into a cruel sneer. "It matters not," she dismissed with a wave. "Those two are bound for the Kingdom of Firene eventually. Stealing the Emblem Rings from them there holds great appeal, seeing how successful our previous endeavor was."

Zephia chuckled, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Are you suggesting we try the same strategy again?" she asked playfully.

Evil Veyle responded with a confident smirk. "Stealing the Emblem Rings from under their noses is an enticing proposition," she replied. "But I doubt that such a plan would bear fruit again due to those two likely making countermeasures against such attempts."

Curiosity piqued, Zephia pressed further, "Is that so, Lady Veyle?" she queried, eager to hear her companion's thoughts. "And what alternative suggestions do you propose?"

Evil Veyle's response came swiftly, her voice filled with malice. "Zephia, I shall merely engulf their forces with an overwhelming horde of Corrupted beings and Elusians," she declared coldly. "And there's a certain… former king I've resurrected as a Corrupted creature who will prove instrumental in our upcoming battle."

Zephia's expression remained impassive, yet curiosity lingered within her eyes. "Sounds like an interesting strategy," she questioned. "Anything else, Lady Veyle?"

With a dismissive wave of her hand, Evil Veyle ordered, "Tell Griss, Marni, and Mauvier to ready themselves for our imminent arrival in Firene," she commanded. "I'll give them some of the Emblem Rings to bolster themselves."

As Zephia retreated from the warship's deck, Evil Veyle gazed out at the approaching shoreline of the Kingdom of Firene. Memories of her failure at the Destinea Cathedral resurfaced, fueling her burning desire for vengeance.

"One day, Alear and Kiran Pathfinder will pay dearly for eluding my grasp," Evil Veyle swore, her eyes narrowing with unbridled rage. "But for now, I shall vent my wrath upon the land they seek to protect – the Kingdom of Firene."

Chapter 23: Hope Amid Ruinous Serenity - Part 1!

Inside the grand Askr Castle in the Kingdom of Askr, Alfonse, Sharena, and Commander Anna gathered around the table, engrossed in the recently submitted battle reports from Eirika, Ephraim, Innes, L'Arachel, Dagr, and Nótt. Their expressions were grave as Alfonse read through each account aloud.

Alfonse's brows knitted together as he reached the end of the last report. "According to this battle report," he announced solemnly. "Sombron's forces are marching towards the Kingdom of Firene via a fleet of warships."

Sharena looked up from her seat, her eyes widening in surprise. "Didn't we visit Firene when Kiran summoned us there?" she questioned.

Commander Anna nodded, vividly recalling the event. "Yes, we did, alongside Princess Veronica of Embla," she confirmed.

Alfonse nodded as he placed the battle report on a nearby table. "I agree," he added. "That was also the initial instance when Kiran called us to Elyos."

"Speaking of who," Sharena cheerfully wondered. "I wonder how is Veronica holding up these days?"

Just then, the heavy oak doors of Askr Castle swung open, revealing none other than Veronica, the Princess Rising of Embla, standing proudly at the entrance.

"Princess Veronica!" Commander Anna exclaimed. "We weren't expecting you here!"

Veronica smiled warmly, stepping forward to greet her friends. "Greetings, Alfonse, Sharena, and Commander Anna. It seems fate has brought us together once more," she remarked, her voice filled with determination.

Alfonse turned to Veronica, a smile playing across his lips. "Veronica," he greeted warmly. "Your timing could not have been better."

"Indeed, Alfonse," Veronica calmly agreed, her serene expression never wavering. "It seems so."

Sharena chimed in, her eyes shining with delight. "It's wonderful to see you again, Veronica!" she mentioned excitedly. "We were just discussing the details of Kiran's most recent victory at Elyos."

"Ah, yes, I overheard that," Veronica nodded as she replied. "There's a possibility that Kiran may call upon all four of us to join him in battle again."

Commander Anna interjected, "As Heroes bound to serve Kiran, it's only natural for us to receive summons whenever required," she explained pragmatically.

Considering the situation, Alfonse suggested, "Perhaps it would be wise for you to remain here in Askr until then," he advised gently. "Kiran tends to summon at the most inconvenient times."

Agreeing with Alfonse, Veronica conceded, "I understand your concerns, Alfonse. However, I cannot resist the allure of the Aether Resort's Dining Hall," she admitted with a slight smile. "After all, I'm famished."

"Really?" Sharena replied to Veronica. "Are you planning on eating lunch with us?"

Gracefully, Veronica accepted the invitation. "Of course, Sharena," she decided, leading the group toward the Aether Resort's luxurious dining establishment. "Let us proceed to the dining hall and indulge ourselves before facing whatever challenges lie ahead."

With empty stomachs and high spirits, Alfonse, Sharena, Commander Anna, and Veronica prepared themselves for a satisfying meal before embarking on their upcoming adventure.

After several hours of travel through the mystic portal, Alear, Kiran, Fjorm, Seiðr, Alfred, and Celine found themselves in a lush forest on the outskirts of Florra Mill Town in the Kingdom of Firene. The air was thick with anticipation as they stepped foot onto foreign soil.

Kiran surveyed their surroundings, his tone serious. "We've made it to the Kingdom of Firene, specifically in this forest close to Florra Mill Town," he informed Alfred and Celine.

Alear peered around cautiously, noting their immediate environment. "There don't seem to be any Elusian or Corrupted soldiers present at the moment," she observed.

Alfred's keen senses picked up on something troubling. "The enemy forces are probably making their way towards Firene Castle via Florra Port," he deduced grimly.

Celine's eyes widened as she spotted plumes of smoke billowing from the forest's edge. "This isn't good," she warned ominously.

"I concur, Princess Celine," Seiðr said as she gripped her eponymous staff tightly. "I have a dreadful feeling about this."

Fjorm's expression grew somber as she recognized the signs of destruction mirrored in the distant flames. "It's just like when the Kingdom of Muspell attacked the Kingdom of Nifl," she recalled mournfully.

Determined, Alear addressed her companions resolutely. "We must hurry to Florra Mill Town," she instructed decisively.

Without hesitation, the group quickly departed the forest, sprinting towards Florra Mill Town to assess the situation and prevent further damage. Time was of the essence, and their combined efforts would be crucial in turning the tide of battle.

Upon entering Florra Mill Town, Alear, Kiran, Fjorm, Seiðr, Alfred, and Celine were met with a heartrending sight. The once idyllic countryside village lay in ruins, its buildings reduced to charred remains, and the peaceful atmosphere replaced by chaos and despair.

Celine's face contorted with distress as she took in the devastating scene. "No, this can't be true," she murmured sorrowfully. "Florra Mill Town is…"

"Such devastation…" Seiðr lamented. "I have never witnessed such cruelty like this before."

Alfred clenched his fist, his emotions boiling over. "These people are simple farmers, not soldiers," he lamented. "They have loving families, homes, and dreams, to witness Florra Mill Town razed to ashes before our eyes…"

Compassionately, Alear placed a comforting hand on Alfred's shoulder. "Alfred, Celine… Stay strong," she urged softly. "Don't give in to despair. We can still save Firene."

Grim determination etched itself across Kiran's features as he scanned the wreckage. "The Elusian warships bringing the enemy forces into Firene must be stopped before everything crumbles," he resolved firmly.

"I couldn't agree more," Alear concurred, her resolve unwavering.

Then, the whole ground shook as the Elusian warships on the coasts began bombarding the battered town with fireballs from their cannons. The group narrowed their eyes on the Elusian warships, knowing those vessels would destroy what was remaining of the settlement if allowed to continue their assaults.

Suddenly, the Breidablik began to glow white, signifying that Baldraz was about to speak. "Kiran! Alear!" he warned. "I can sense Evil Veyle and the Four Hounds are nearby! Be on your guard!"

Startled, the group spun around to confront the new threat. Indeed, Evil Veyle, accompanied by her loyal followers Zephia, Griss, and Marni, strode menacingly towards them.

Zephia sneered at Alear and Kiran, feigning mockery. "Well, well, well, look who's graced us with their presence once more," she greeted sardonically. "Are you two impressed that we've managed to reforge Firene's cherished Florra Mill Town...with fire?"

"No," Alear replied, glaring at Zephia and Evil Veyle. "Kiran and I… are far from impressed."

Evil Veyle chuckled darkly behind her minions. "As you can see," she sarcastically confessed. "All of this... was my brilliant idea."

Alfred's furious gaze bore into Evil Veyle. "Why?" he demanded harshly. "Why did you do this?"

Evil Veyle responded nonchalantly with a dismissive wave. "Because I wanted to," she said flippantly. Her words hung heavily, leaving the group in shock and anger.

Celine's voice trembled with anger. "How despicable," she uttered disdainfully.

Rolling her eyes, Evil Veyle affected a saccharine sweetness. "Why, thank you for the compliment. But remember, as Sombron's daughter, I must make examples of his enemies," she declared coldly as she pointed her fingers at two particular people. "Starting with you two, Alear and Kiran Pathfinder!"

As Evil Veyle said those words, a sense of righteous anger unified the group, prompting Alear to grip her Libération sword tightly and Kiran to draw his Breidablik.

Evil Veyle let out a derisive chuckle, her eyes narrowing dangerously at Alear. "I will offer this ultimatum one last time – surrender the remaining Emblem Rings and Kiran Pathfinder," she threatened coolly. "And I'll swiftly end your pathetic lives."

Alear's steely gaze locked with Evil Veyle's, her voice firm and unyielding. "How many times must I tell you and Sombron that..." she retorted fiercely. "I will never surrender the Emblem Rings, nor shall I give Kiran to your grasp!"

Kiran stepped forward, his voice steady and determined. "Did you not learn anything during our encounter at Destinea Cathedral?" he asked pointedly. "Sombron will never, ever have my ability to summon Heroes. It is beyond his reach."

Alear continued, her conviction unshaken. "Evil Veyle, you are nothing more than a facsimile, a false copy of the genuine Veyle," she stated unequivocally. "Practically everyone in our army knows that fact."

Infuriated by their defiance, Evil Veyle's form began to twist and contort, black miasma seeping from her pores as her rage reached its breaking point.

Infuriated by Alear and Kiran's accusations, Evil Veyle snapped, "How dare you call me a fake!" she bellowed angrily.

Griss sneered maliciously at the part, "You two should have kept your mouths shut," he warned ominously. "Look at what you two have done with her."

Marni joined in, her voice dripping with venom. "Ha! I can't believe you two have truly enraged her," she threatened chillingly. "Now, she'll stop at nothing to kill you both."

Mauvier did not say anything; he slowly shook his head at Evil Veyle, knowing that what Alear and Kiran had said to her was entirely accurate.

As Evil Veyle continued leaking black miasma from her body, several Corrupted soldiers burst forth from the ground, surrounding Alear and Kiran's group.

"All of you," Evil Veyle commanded in a huff. "Retreat with me to the center of this burning town. These Corrupted soldiers will buy us some time."

As Evil Veyle and her Four Hounds walked away, Kiran saw Mauvier glancing back at him and Alear, signifying that Mauvier was still upholding the deal he had with him and Alear a few days ago.

"I can see that Mauvier still trusts us," Alear muttered to Kiran, her eyes intently on the incoming threat. "But, we must get ready to fight off the Corrupted. With Evil Veyle and the Four Hounds retreating to another place in town, that gives us a bit of a breathing room."

Kiran nodded solemnly, gripping the hilt of his Breidablik tightly. "Agreed. I think even Evil Veyle knows she can't just attack us directly without some plan," he vowed resolutely. "Anyway, let's take these Corrupted soldiers down."

Determination fueled the group's fight against the relentless horde of Corrupted soldiers; each blow struck with unwavering commitment and courage. Their bond, tested and proven, stood steadfast amidst the chaos and carnage.

Back at the serene Aether Resort in the Kingdom of Askr, Alfonse, Sharena, Commander Anna, and Veronica gathered at a cozy table, indulging in delicious hamburgers and refreshing supplemental drinks.

Veronica savored every bite of her meal, her eyes closed in delight. "The Aether Resort's food is exquisite, as always," she praised appreciatively between chews.

Commander Anna smiled warmly at her friend. "That's why Veronica insists on having lunch here whenever she visits," she remarked fondly.

Before Veronica could respond, their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of Male Alear and Veyle, each bearing a steaming bowl of sweet curry.

Sharena welcomed them with open arms, her face lighting up with joy. "Hello, Male Alear and Veyle! Won't you please join us for lunch?" she invited cheerfully.

Male Alear politely smiled as he accepted Sharena's generous offer. "Thank you, Sharena. We would be delighted to join you," he replied.

Veyle also agreed, her expression friendly and relaxed. "Yes, I'm pleased to accept your invitation, Sharena," she added pleasantly.

And so, the six friends enjoyed their meal together, sharing stories, laughter, and camaraderie amidst the picturesque surroundings of the Aether Resort. At the tranquil Aether Resort table, Male Alear and Veyle sat among Alfonse, Sharena, Commander Anna, and Veronica, enjoying their hearty meals and pleasant company.

Curious about their recent activities, Alfonse focused on Male Alear and Veyle. "What have you two been up to before joining us today?" he asked casually.

"Well," Male Alear replied. "Veyle and I just completed our training at the 'Special Training - Ranged' stratum of the Training Tower."

Sharena turned her attention to Veyle, her tone filled with concern and interest. "Oh yeah," she inquired gently. "Since Kiran summoned you as a Hero, how has your training in Askr progressed so far?"

Veyle offered a thoughtful response. "I think I've reached my full potential as a Hero," she assured confidently. "I feel prepared and eager to aid Kiran when he calls me back to Elyos."

Commander Anna interjected gravely, "There's a possibility that all of us might be needed by Kiran, given that Sombron's forces are approaching the shores of the Kingdom of Firene," she cautioned somberly.

Male Alear and Veyle fell momentarily quiet as they pondered the gravity of Commander Anna's revelation, focusing on the looming threat and the potential implications for their roles in the unfolding events.

Veyle leaned forward, furrowing her brow in concern. "Is it confirmed that Evil Veyle is leading the attacks on the Kingdom of Firene?" she anxiously asked Alfonse, Sharena, Commander Anna, and Veronica.

Alfonse hesitated, his expression grave. "It's a distinct possibility," he admitted reluctantly. "Veronica said the same thing earlier."

Veronica nodded in agreement. "That's why we're taking advantage of this opportunity to refuel ourselves," she reasoned, gesturing towards her hamburger. "We want to ensure that we have the energy to lend our full support to Kiran when he summons us to Elyos."

Commander Anna grinned, her eyes twinkling with pride. "Kiran once told us that an army marches on its stomach," she recalled fondly. "So, let's finish our meals and prepare for whatever lies ahead."

Veyle looked down at her bowl of sweet curry, and her resolve strengthened. "Commander Anna's right," she concurred earnestly. "I couldn't possibly face my evil counterpart on an empty stomach."

Sharena clapped her hands together, her voice brimming with optimism. "Excellent! That means we should focus on finishing our lunches since Kiran may summon us today."

And so, the six Heroes continued to enjoy their meals, their spirits buoyed by the knowledge that they were united in their determination to stand alongside Kiran in his hour of need. They knew that the road ahead would be fraught with challenges, but they remained steadfast in their belief that, together, they could overcome any obstacle and restore peace to their realm.

Back at the Kingdom of Firene, Alear and Kiran fought off against the squadron of Corrupted soldiers spawned by Evil Veyle. Alear slew several Corrupted with her Libération while Kiran blasted the several Corrupted soldiers with shots from the Breidablik.

With Fjorm, Seiðr, Alfred, and Celine assisting, they managed to hold their ground, their combined efforts keeping the enemy forces at bay.

As the last corpse of a defeated Corrupted soldier disintegrated into dust underfoot, Alear took a deep breath and spoke triumphantly. "We did it," she declared. "We managed to take down those Corrupted soldiers that Evil Veyle sent after us."

Her words barely left her lips before Kiran chimed in, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "But the battle has only just begun, Alear," he affirmed. "Let's bring in most of our allies – we need every able body we can muster to turn the tide in our favor."

With determination etched onto her features, Alear nodded in agreement. "Opening a portal from Somniel is a sound strategy," she affirmed.

Kiran didn't waste a moment. He readied his Breidablik, pulling the trigger to release a powerful beam into the ground. The earth trembled beneath their feet as the portal opened, revealing the familiar faces of Diamant, Alcryst, Ivy, Hortensia, Timerra, and Fogado, along with their loyal retainers.

"Divine One! Kiran!" Diamant said as his voice boomed across the battlefield, his Fair-Fight Blade igniting with burning resolve. "We're here now, ready to fight alongside you two."

"W-we have to win," Alcryst muttered as he readied his Arcane Darkbow. "My retainers and I have to do our part."

"Hiya papaya! It's me, Yunaka, the mysterious wanderer!" Yunaka declared as she readied her Silver Daggers. "So that you know, I've been training extra hard lately. I'll show my prowess in this fight!"

"We'll make no mistakes," Ivy uttered as she steadied her wyvern, her Icebound Tome ready. "For the Divine Dragon and the Summoner!"

"It's me — the second princess of Elusia, Hortensia!" Hortensia said as she rode on her pegasus, gripping her Arcane Charmer tightly. "It's time to show my cuteness in battle!"

"Alright!" Timerra declared as she twirled her Killer Lance. "I'm gonna tear it up on the front lines again!"

"Talk about good timing!" Fogado said as he drew out his Killer Bow, his boundless enthusiasm infused newfound hope into their ranks. "Time to party!"

"I'm Seadall, famed dancer of Solm," Seadall calmly introduced himself. "It seems this battle was foretold, and I'm ready to assist."

Then, Alfred and Celine looked at the retainers that showed up, and both siblings were glad that their retainers were among the group.

"Nearly everyone's here," Alfred said as he and Celine looked at their retainers. "Even Boucheron, Etie…"

"I'm here now, Prince Alfred," Boucheron said. "I'm ready to fight alongside you once again."

"Yeah," Etie said as she readied her Protection Bow+. "This battle should be a fun workout!"

"Louis and Chloe," Celine spoke to her retainers. "It's been a while since we last fought together."

"It's been a while since I'm in a battle," Louis said to Celine. "But I'm glad I can fight alongside you, Princess Celine."

"How lovely," Chloe said as she readied her Dreaming Spear while riding her pegasus. "This battle will be picturesque!"

Amidst the wreckage of the fiery town in Elyos, Kiran's determined voice rang out through the chaos. "Alear, that's most of our allies accounted for," he proudly informed her.

Alear's expression remained focused, her eyes scanning the battlefield for any signs of danger. "I sure hope so," she explained as she stared at a familiar figure at the center of the burning Florra Mill Town. "And there she is…"

Then the group spotted Evil Veyle, accompanied by the Four Hounds and with someone who was all too familiar to Ivy and Hortensia, standing confidently in the center of the burning town with an army of Elusian and Corrupted soldiers under her command. Ivy and Hortensia's gasps echoed throughout the battlefield as they recognized their long-lost father, King Hyacinth of Elusia, now twisted into a Corrupted form.

Evil Veyle sneered maliciously, taunting them mercilessly. "While you've been gathering your allies," she jeered at them, pointing her fingers to a familiar man beside her. "Let me introduce you to a special guest - Corrupted Hyacinth!"

"Ivy, Hortensia…" Hyacinth spoke, his body leaking dark miasma typical of a Corrupted. "And you two, Divine Dragon and Kiran Pathfinder. It's been some time, has it not?"

As she saw her deceased father revived as one of the vile Corrupted, Ivy's eyes widened in shock, her heart heavy with sorrow. "No...this cannot be," she whispered, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Hortensia's voice cracked with emotion as she stared at her father's tainted visage. "Father! No!" she lamented as she glared at Evil Veyle. "What have you done?"

Evil Veyle laughed wickedly, savoring their pain. "Oh, I promise you won't want to miss the spectacle of watching you both perish in despair as you fight your very own father!" she said as she handed an Emblem Ring to Corrupted Hyacinth.

"I was supposed to give you the Ring of the Lady of the Plains, but your daughter stole that ring last time," Evil Veyle said to Corrupted Hyacinth while glaring at Ivy. "Here, take the Ring of the Sage Lord instead."

"Yes…" Corrupted Hyacinth replied as he equipped the tainted Emblem Ring. "Lady Veyle…"

Ivy's anger flared, her eyes narrowing as she locked gazes with Evil Veyle. "You think you can manipulate us like that?" she declared. "You will face retribution, one way or another!"

Evil Veyle stared at Ivy, her eyes gleaming with malice as she taunted her. "Insult me as much as you want," she snarled at Ivy. "Reviving Hyacinth as a Corrupted was merely a small act of cruelty compared to what I have planned for you all!"

Kiran shook his head sadly, his eyes never leaving hers. "Reviving Hyacinth as a Corrupted," he responded in a tranquil tone. "You revel in cruelty, aren't you?"

The corners of Evil Veyle's mouth lifted into a sinister smile. "Of course. I am the Sombron's daughter, the instrument of his will," she goaded. "What are you planning to do about it, Kiran Pathfinder?"

Before anyone could react, Kiran raised his Breidablik, aiming it directly at Evil Veyle. His expression remained resolute. "You had to ask that, didn't you?" he replied. "Why don't I show you, Evil Veyle?"

Alear watched in silence, and her brows knitted together in worry. "Kiran," she urged quietly. "You're going to…"

Kiran glanced at her, a small smile playing on his lips. "I'm glad you asked that Alear," he replied, focusing intently on his weapon.

At the Aether Resort's Dining Hall, Male Alear and Veyle's smiles widened as they looked upon Alfonse, Sharena, Commander Anna, and Veronica. A sense of camaraderie and friendship filled the air as they finished their lunch.

However, their moment of reunion was abruptly interrupted when an unexpected event unfolded before their eyes. A soft, ethereal light enveloped Alfonse, Sharena, Commander Anna, and Veronica, causing them to glow with an otherworldly radiance.

"I can feel it," Alfonse declared, his words carrying a weight that demanded immediate action. "Kiran is calling us!"

"I agree with Alfonse," Sharena affirmed, her eyes gleaming with resolve. "We must rush to Kiran's aid."

"Based on how I can sense it," Veronica muttered. "I can feel Kiran's desperation as he is calling us."

"Then, we shouldn't keep him waiting," Commander Anna smiled. "We've eaten our lunches. So, let's go to Elyos, where Kiran needs us."

"Go on ahead," Male Alear said to the quartet. "If Kiran needs you four, by all means…"

"Yeah," Veyle smiled. "But, please be careful."

"We will," Sharena said as she winked at Male Alear and Veyle. "Who knows? Maybe Kiran will summon you two next! Just be ready for it!"

Then, Alfonse, Sharena, Commander Anna, and Veronica vanished from the World of Zenith in motes of light, leaving Male Alear and Veyle sitting on the table. Their sudden disappearance left Male Alear and Veyle with mixed emotions, especially concern for their safety since they were going to be summoned by Kiran in a battle.

"There they go," Male Alear muttered. "I hope Kiran summons us back to Elyos."

"Have faith," Veyle replied. "Just as Sharena said, that may happen sooner than we think."

In that instant, eight orbs of various colors—four red, two blue, and two green—emanated from the Breidablik. Kiran began chanting, his voice rising above the din of battle.

"Gathering wishes that call upon the Heroes of Midgard and the Realm of Dreams!" Kiran solemnly chanted. "Become the path its light shines upon!"

"Do you think I'd allow you to summon your Heroes?!" Evil Veyle snarled as an orb of darkness manifested from her Obscurité. "I won't allow you!"

Aggravated by Kiran's display of power, Evil Veyle retaliated, firing an orb of pure darkness from her Obscurité tome toward him. But Fjorm quickly intervened, her Leiptr lance glowing brightly as her Ice Mirror II activated — an ice barrier formed around her, which intercepted Evil Veyle's attack. As the ice mirror shattered, Fjorm shielded Kiran from the attack with a determined cry.

"I won't let you harm Kiran!" Fjorm exclaimed, her voice ringing clear and valid amidst the chaos of the battlefield.

Undeterred by Fjorm blocking her first attack towards Kiran, Evil Veyle tried another attempt, but she felt her perception of time and space distorted.

"What…" Evil Veyle muttered as she felt her body's perception of time and space being momentarily distorted. "How?!"

Then, Evil Veyle noticed that one of Kiran's allies, a teal-haired woman riding a goat, was glowing teal and gold and was glaring at her, preventing Evil Veyle from conducting a second attack.

"I will not let you harm Kiran!" Seiðr said as her 'Future-Focused' power came into play to prevent Evil Veyle from targeting Kiran a second time.

With Fjorm and Seiðr defending him, Kiran completed his chant as the eight orbs he had summoned came to rest on the ground, his voice carrying over the tumultuous din of battle. Evil Veyle could do nothing but watch as Kiran successfully summoned his Heroes.

"Hero Summon!" Kiran finished his chant. "I bring Alfonse, Sharena, Commander Anna, Veronica, Peony, Mirabilis, Triandra, and Plumeria into the battlefield!"

True to his word, the orbs transformed into shimmering portals. One by one, the named Heroes emerged, landing gracefully on the battlefield. Their expressions ranged from surprise to determination as they surveyed the situation unfolding before them.

Alfonse stepped forward first, addressing Kiran with a firm yet friendly tone. "It seems what Veronica and Commander Anna said earlier was right," he acknowledged as he brandished his Fólkvangr. "We had expected you to call upon us."

"Alfonse is correct," Veronica calmly stated as she held her Enclosing Dark tome. "I am ready to assist in this battle."

"Yeah," Sharena exclaimed as she twirled her Fensalir lance. "We're ready to fight alongside you once again, Kiran!"

"I can say the same," Commander Anna replied, gripping her Nóatún axe tightly. "Let's give it everything we've got!"

Peony followed suit, and her voice filled with excitement. "Don't worry, Kiran!" she said as her Flower of Joy floated. "I'll use my powers over sweet dreams to assist in this battle!"

"Yawn…" Mirabilis muttered as her Flower of Ease floated beside her. "I'll use… my daydreams… to help whenever I… can."

"Let's have some fun, Kiran," Plumeria smirked mischievously as her Flower of Plenty floated beside her. "I'll make these foes uncomfortable with every lewd dream imaginable."

"Just say the word, Kiran," Triandra said as she held her Flower of Sorrow. "And I'll give the enemy nightmares they may never wake up from."

Kiran turned to each of his newly arrived allies, offering a grateful smile. "Thank you all for answering my summons," he expressed sincerely.

Evil Veyle sneered derisively, her confidence seemingly undeterred by the influx of reinforcements. In response, more Corrupted soldiers spawned from the ground and surrounded Alear and Kiran's group, bolstering Evil Veyle's already numerous army.

"It doesn't matter how many Heroes you summon once I obtain all twelve Emblem Rings," Evil Veyle jeered at Kiran. "Even with six Emblem Rings on each side, my forces will crush you all."

Undaunted, Kiran met her challenge head-on. "We'll see about that," he retorted firmly, his resolve unwavering as he prepared himself and his allies for the impending conflict. "Everyone, shall we begin this battle?"

"I agree, Kiran," Alear nodded as she readied her Libération. "We've got this!"

Thus, the battle in the Kingdom of Firene has begun. As the Elusian and Corrupted soldiers charged at Alear and Kiran's group, they had one goal: to reach the center of the burning town and confront Evil Veyle and Hyacinth.

Within the confines of her tent at the Curse Directive encampment, Ebony sat hunched over the intricate lines and symbols adorning the second Niðavellir blueprint spread out before her. Her brow furrowed as she scrutinized the schematics, her thoughts consumed by the details.

"Eitri, trying to replicate Kiran's Breidablik, huh?" Ebony mused as she stared at the second schematic. "And failing so miserably because Eitri didn't consider that the false Breidablik summons soulless shells, hollow parodies of Heroes..."

Just then, there was a gentle knock on the entrance flap of her tent. Turning her attention towards the source, she found Shade bearing a plate of cooked venison and a tankard of water.

As he placed the plate of cooked venison and the tankard of water on the table, Shade addressed Ebony. "Here is your lunch, Shadow Director," he said calmly. "I see you are examining the second blueprint in earnest."

After taking a moment to collect herself, Ebony returned the gesture with a faint nod. "Thank you, Shade," she murmured thoughtfully. "Please put my food and drink on the table. I will call you if I need anything else."

"As you wish, Shadow Director," Shade replied as he nodded. "Angeyja and I will be nearby if you require our aid."

Once Shade had departed, Ebony leaned back in her chair, her gaze lingering on the tantalizing meal before her. As she began eating her dinner, a heavy sigh escaped her lips.

"I can't quite understand why I'm growing so fixated on the Breidablik," Ebony muttered. "And the skeletal-looking woman that I saw in that vision… How those two instances are connected, even I do not know…"

Despite her inner turmoil, she eventually picked up her fork and ate. Her mind was still contemplating as she savored each bite of the succulent venison.

Amid the inferno that engulfed Florra Mill Town, Alear, Kiran, and the rest of their group fought valiantly against wave after wave of relentless Corrupted soldiers. Sweat dripped from their brows as they pressed onward, navigating the treacherous terrain while maintaining their defensive stance.

"Grant me strength!" Alear muttered as she slashed one Elusian Axe Infantry charging at her.

"Enough from you!" Kiran shouted as he blasted one Elusian Axe Flyer with his Breidablik.

Then, Fjorm and Seiðr noticed two Elusians, a Mage Infantry and a Sword Calvary, charged towards Kiran. The Elusian Mage Infantry fired a fireball from their Elfire tome straight at Kiran. Fjorm jumped in front of Kiran as her Ice Mirror II activated, forming a reflective, icy shield blocking the enemy fireball aimed at Kiran.

"You won't get past me!" Fjorm declared as she jumped out of her shattered Ice Mirror and slashed at the Elusian Mage Infantry with her Leiptr, taking them down.

At the same time, the Elusian Sword Calvary readied their Silver Sword and galloped towards Kiran, but Seiðr was prepared. Seiðr's divine body glowed in teal and gold, activating her 'Future-Focused' ability. While the Elusian Sword Calvary's perception of time and space was distorted, Seiðr calmly readied her staff in retaliation.

"Revealing Light!" Seiðr declared as she conjured multiple bolts from her eponymous staff, taking down the Elusian Sword Calvary.

"Alear, Fjorm, and Seiðr…" Kiran said to them. "Thanks for intercepting those enemies."

"You're welcome," Fjorm humbly replied. "Anything to keep you safe, Kiran."

"As am I," Seiðr spoke as she steadied her goat mount. "We must keep going."

"I agree," Alear said as she brandished her Libération. "We can't waste any more time."

As the group marched on, Alear called out to her comrades, her voice steady despite the intensity of the battle.

"Alear," Kiran asked as he gripped the Breidablik tightly. "Did you give Emblem Rings to some of our allies?"

"Yeah, I did," Alear her eyes never leaving the swirling flames ahead. "Don't worry about that, Kiran."

"Don't worry about the Emblem Rings, Kiran!" Alfred chimed in, as he ran through a Corrupted soldier with his Arcane Qiang. "We'll put them to good use!"

"We all have roles to play in this crucial battle," Ivy spoke as she took down an Elusian soldier with her Icebound Tome. "It may be best to focus on what is important right now."

"Alright," Kiran nodded. "In that case, we all know where our current priorities are."

"That's right," Alear instructed, her eyes never leaving the swirling flames ahead. "Our priority must be to reach Evil Veyle and the Corrupted Hyacinth."

Kiran nodded grimly, releasing a powerful magic bolt from his Breidablik that obliterated a particularly menacing Corrupted soldier. "That won't be an easy feat," he warned. "Especially when Elusian and Corrupted enemies are going to attack us from every angle."

Baldraz, the spirit residing within the Breidablik, suddenly spoke up, his tone resonating. "Be warned," he cautioned ominously. "One of the Four Hounds approaches your position."

With that warning fresh in their minds, the group braced themselves as they spotted Griss, clad in dark armor and leading a squadron of Corrupted soldiers and Elusians toward them. He grinned wickedly at the group.

"There you all are!" Griss threatened. "I'm Griss of the Four Hounds! If you hit me, I'll hit right back!"

Alfred and Celine exchanged worried glances as they noticed the distinctive Ring of the Caring Princess adorning Griss' finger. As a result, Alfred, Celine, and their retainers – Boucheron, Etie, Louis, and Chloe – swiftly moved to engage Griss in combat, giving Alear and Kiran a chance to retreat and regroup.

Alfred looked at Alear and Kiran with steely determination. "Divine One, Kiran…" he said to them. "Leave Griss to us."

"And I'll do my part to defend Prince Alfred," Boucheron declared wielding his Steel Axe. "And this time, I won't get lost!"

"Let me at him," Etie declared as she readied her Protection Bow+. "I've got muscle to spare!"

Celine echoed her brother's sentiments, turning to address her friends. "Griss wields the Ring of the Caring Princess," she explained gravely. "Alfred and I will try to retrieve that ring from him if we can."

"As one of Princess Celine's retainers, I live to serve," Louis said as he equipped his Silver Lance. "I'll help out in any way I can."

"Likewise, I'll do the same," Chloe declared as she brandished her Dreaming Spear. "I'm ready to dig in!"

Among the Ljosalfr of Sweet Dreams, Peony couldn't stand idly by. "I wish to aid Alfred and Celine in this battle," she pledged, her voice full of conviction. "I feel they'll need sweet dreams to gain the advantage."

Alear nodded sympathetically, her eyes filled with concern. "Alright, I'll leave Griss to you three," she implored. "Take care of yourselves."

Kiran agreed, issuing orders to the remaining members of their party. "The rest of us will press on ahead," he decided. "Good luck to you all."

As they disappeared into the distance, Griss sneered contemptuously at the small group facing him. "Ah, I was going to fight the Divine One and her trusty Summoner, but you lot will have to do," he boasted, reveling in the prospect of prolonged conflict. "Let us begin our little game of pain, shall we?"

Continuing their advance through the war-ravaged landscape, Alear and Kiran's group dispatched any Corrupted or Elusian enemies that dared cross their path. Amidst the carnage, Alear glanced at Alfred and Celine, her heart heavy with worry.

"I hope Alfred and Celine will make it through this safely," Alear voiced her concerns to Kiran.

Kiran offered her a reassuring smile, his voice filled with confidence. "They'll be fine," he assured her. "Not only do they have Peony's assistance, but Etie and Chloe are also summoned as Heroes."

Before they could fully absorb this news, Baldraz's spectral voice interrupted them, his tone grave. "Another one of the Four Hounds stands in your path, along with a battalion of Corrupted and Elusians," he intoned. "Be ready for them."

Alear and Kiran exchanged anxious looks as they observed Marni, one of the Four Hounds, emerge from the smoke and shadows, accompanied by a formidable force of Corrupted soldiers and Elusians. Armed with the Ring of the Young Lion, she defiantly taunted them.

"With him at my side, I'm invincible!" Marni boasted arrogantly as she showed off the Ring of the Young Lion. "I won't let you pass!"

Realizing that Marni bore the Ring of the Young Lion, Diamant and Alcryst acted swiftly, calling on their retainers – Amber, Jade, Citrinne, and Lapis – to support them.

Diamant addressed Alear and Kiran with a sense of duty. "Marni possesses the Ring of the Young Lion, one of the Emblem Rings entrusted to the Kingdom of Brodia," he informed them. "We'll take her down and try to retrieve the Emblem Ring if we can."

"Alright!" Amber declared as he readied his Killer Lance. "I'll fight so hard that I'll start a legend!"

"My iron wall is ready," Jade remarked as her grip on her Silver Axe tightened. "I might have to write a book about this."

Alcryst stared at Marni as he readied his Arcane Darkbow. "Y-you guys g-go on ahead," he urged. "We've got this covered."

"I'm with you, Prince Alcryst!" Lapis said as she readied her Defier's Sword+. "If anyone's going to defend you, it ought to be me and Citrinne."

"I agree," Citrinne replied to Alcryst as she held her Tome of Luxuries. "As your retainers, such duties should naturally fall to us."

Mirabilis, the enchanting Alfr of Daydreams, joined the fray, her eyes shining with determination. "Yawn…" she mumbled. "I wish to aid… Diamant and Alcryst…."

Kiran granted them his permission. "In that case," he conceded. "I'll leave Marni to you all."

Alear shared words of encouragement, and her voice filled with warmth and concern. "Please come back safely," she implored. "Take care of yourselves."

"Oh no you don't!" Marni exclaimed as she addressed the battalion of Elusian and Corrupted that came along with her. "What are you lot gawking there for?! Attack the Divine One and Kiran Pathfinder!"

The battalion of Elusians and Corrupted charged at Alear and Kiran's group as they were about to move forward, but a powerful gust of wind intervened, taking out an Elusian soldier while knocking down the rest, allowing the group to move away from Marni and her battalion, much to her frustration. Then, Marni glared at Diamant and Alcryst's group and saw that a blonde woman wearing an elegant brown dress was the one who conjured the wind gust.

"May I cut in?" Citrinne calmly declared as she knocked several Elusians and Corrupted with a blast from her Tome of Luxuries.

With Alear and Kiran's group having bypassed her, Marni had no other choice but to face the combined might of Diamant, Alcryst, Mirabilis, Amber, Jade, Citrinne, and Lapis.

Unfazed by their approach, Marni scoffed condescendingly, brandishing the Ring of the Young Lion. "Fine! As if you're going to win against me!" she boasted, reveling in the perceived superiority bestowed upon her by the Emblem Ring. "With my Emblem Ring, you are all so dead!"

At the heart of the fiery destruction that engulfed Florra Mill Town, Evil Veyle watched impassively as Griss and Marni, two of her Four Hounds, engaged in fierce combat against Alear and Kiran's steadfast army. The scene unfolded before her like a macabre dance, with both sides locked in a deadly struggle for supremacy.

Evil Veyle glanced sidelong at Corrupted Hyacinth, who remained unwaveringly loyal by her side, and Mauvier, whose expression seemed troubled.

"Mauvier," Evil Veyle inquired as she looked at Mauvier. "Why don't you join the fight against Alear and Kiran's army?"

Mauvier met her gaze evenly, his eyes reflective. "Lady… Veyle," he replied, his voice low and deliberate. "I prefer to face them here."

Annoyance crept into Evil Veyle's features, and she narrowed her eyes. "So be it," she asked curtly. "Have I bestowed an Emblem Ring upon you, Mauvier?"

Mauvier hesitated briefly before responding truthfully. "No, Lady Veyle… You have not given any Emblem Ring to me," he confessed. "But, I do not need any Emblem Ring to be effective in battle."

"Fine, have it your way," Evil Veyle huffed in annoyance. "I still expect you to fight against the Divine One and Kiran Pathfinder."

Evil Veyle turned her attention back to the ongoing battle, her expression unreadable as she mulled over Mauvier's words. Meanwhile, Mauvier gazed intently at his right hand as he contemplated his next moves.

'It will not be much longer before I can reveal my true intentions to you and Sombron,' Mauvier thought, biding his time for the perfect moment to execute his betrayal. 'All for the pact I made with the Divine One and Kiran Pathfinder… for the sake of the true Lady Veyle…'

As they continued their relentless advance, Alear and Kiran's group took down any Elusian and Corrupted enemy that dared oppose them. Alear shared her thoughts with Kiran, her voice filled with regret.

"Just like Alfred and Celine," Alear admitted. "We had to leave Diamant, Alcryst, and their retainers behind to deal with Marni."

Kiran offered her an encouraging smile, his voice confident. "Don't worry, they'll be fine," he assured her. "Mirabilis will be there to support them, and Citrinne and Lapis were summoned as Heroes by Diamant and Alcryst."

Suddenly, Baldraz's spectral voice rang out, his tone grave. "Another one of the Four Hounds blocks your path," he announced. "Be on your guard."

Alear and Kiran exchanged worried glances as they beheld Zephia, one of the Four Hounds, riding majestically atop her wyvern. Surrounded by a vast horde of Elusian and Corrupted soldiers, she glowered at them maliciously.

Zephia let loose a triumphant laugh, her eyes blazing with anger. "Well, well, well… If it isn't the lizard and her Summoner!" she challenged, her voice echoing across the battlefield. "I want payback for humiliating me back at Solm Palace!"

In response to Zephia's challenge, Timerra and Fogado sprang into action, rallying their retainers – Merrin, Panette, Pandreo, and Bunet – to join them.

Timerra addressed Alear and Kiran with determination. "Divine One! Summoner!" she declared. "Leave Zephia to us! She's going to pay for what she did back at Solm!"

"I agree, my princess," Merrin remarked as she rode her wolf. "I'll do what I can to help you take Zephia down."

"You got it, boss!" Panette declared as she twirled her Killer Axe. "I do think retribution is due."

Fogado readied his Killer Bow as he glared at Zephia. "Move on without us," he advised. "We can handle this."

"Come on! AWOOO!" Pandreo howled as he readied his Elfire tome. "Let's do this!"

"I am Bunet, royal soldier of Solm," Bunet declared as he brandished his Steel Sword. "I'll be ready to dish it out."

Then, Alfonse interjected, representing Sharena, Commander Anna, and Veronica. "On behalf of my companions," he requested politely. "Please allow us to assist in the fight against Zephia."

"Timerra and Fogado," Sharena said enthusiastically, her voice brimming with excitement. "We'd love to help you out!"

Seadall, the Solm dancer Alear and Kiran recently recruited, stepped boldly forward. "Divine One and Kiran Pathfinder," he declared. "I want to contribute to this battle."

Plumeria, the Dokkalfr of Lewd Dreams, added her voice to the mix. "Zephia annoys me for some reason," she stated cryptically. "I'll join in to help out."

With newfound resolve, Alear nodded approvingly at the assembled warriors. "I understand. I'll leave Zephia to you all," she decreed. "Be careful, everyone."

"In that case," Kiran agreed as he gripped his Breidablik tightly. "The rest of our group will press on ahead."

Commander Anna spoke firmly, addressing Kiran. "Leave Zephia to us," she insisted. "We'll catch up later on."

As her eyes gleamed with determination, Veronica expressed her eagerness to engage in combat again. "I want to settle things with Zephia after our previous encounter," she stated emphatically.

"As if I would allow you to approach Lady Veyle!" Zephia scoffed as she turned her attention to the Elusian and Corrupted battalion under her command. "Kill the them all!"

The Elusian and Corrupted battalion charged at Alear, Kiran, and their allies, but they were intercepted by Alfonse, Sharena, and Commander Anna who blocked their path.

"Go on ahead!" Alfonse said as he blocked an Elusian soldier's attack with his Fólkvangr. "We'll handle Zephia and her army!"

As Alear, Kiran, and their allies moved forward, Zephia fired a lightning bolt from her Thoron tome. Still, Veronica saw that attack coming and conjured a dark orb from her Enclosing Dark tome to intercept Zephia's attack.

"Zephia, your efforts to stop them are for naught," Veronica declared to Zephia. "They will bypass you. You will not interfere."

As the remainder of Alear and Kiran's group moved forward, vanquishing any Corrupted or Elusian adversaries that crossed their path, Zephia glared at the group that remained to fight her.

"If your group can manage to defeat me while I wield the Ring of the Holy Knight, then by all means, give it a try," Zephia jeered mockingly as her tainted Emblem Ring leaked dark miasma. "You will all die under my Emblem Ring's power!"

Alfonse, his Fólkvangr sword held aloft, fixed Zephia with a steely gaze. "We'll see about that," he vowed. "You don't frighten us!"

Veronica opened her Enclosing Dark tome, her expression stern. "You're getting on my nerves, Zephia," she grumbled. "Truthfully, I have been waiting for this since our last showdown at Firene Castle."

Timerra twirled her Killer Lance menacingly, her voice resonating with authority. "Enough chit-chat!" she exclaimed. "Let's begin this fight, shall we?"

Meanwhile, in the Realm of Ásgarðr, Loki and Thórr found themselves seated around an untouched board of Forma Souls arranged in a chess-like formation, captivated by a mystical projection revealing the unfolding conflict in Elyos.

Loki observed the battle with keen interest, her eyes sparkling with delight. "I must admit, I quite enjoy watching the battle in Elyos progress," she commented thoughtfully. "I sure wish I could travel to Elyos and cause... a bit of ruckus, don't you think, Thórr?"

Thórr, ever the stern Ásgarðr War God, reprimanded her sister sternly. "Stay your hand, Loki," she reminded Loki firmly. "Our role for the time being is merely to observe, not to partake in the battle itself."

Loki pouted petulantly at Thórr, her curiosity piqued. "But what if we played Pawns of Loki instead?" she suggested playfully. "It would pass the time."

Thórr stared at Loki incredulously, shaking her head. "Loki," she protested. "You know full well that I lose to you in your... games more than half the time."

Frustration creased Loki's brow, and she sighed dramatically. "But we have nothing better to do while we monitor Kiran's actions in Elyos," she argued persistently. "Come on, Thórr. By your words, I admit I lose to you sometimes if it makes you feel better."

Reluctantly, Thórr gave in to her sibling's demands. "Fine, I will play a chess match with you, Loki," she conceded begrudgingly. "But only because you insisted, even if I do not like playing this board game of Formas that you have created."

Loki grinned triumphantly, moving the first chess piece with pride. "Excellent, let the game commence," she proclaimed, eager to test her strategic prowess against her beloved sister Thórr.

In Elyos, as Alear and Kiran's determined group marched onward, annihilating any Corrupted or Elusian foe standing in their path, Ivy voiced her concerns atop her wyvern. "Alfred and Celine, Diamant and Alcryst, and now, Timerra and Fogado..." she questioned apprehensively. "Divine One, Kiran... Do you think it's wise for our army to remain divided like this?"

Alear considered the situation gravely before answering. "Evil Veyle had intended to divide her army into smaller units," she explained. "Given the circumstances, it seems necessary for us to follow suit."

"Don't worry about that, Ivy," Kiran replied as he glanced at Triandra, who was flying alongside them. "That's why I summoned the four alfar for this battle."

Hortensia, riding her trusty pegasus, joined the conversation. "Ivy, we can't ignore that Father has been turned into a Corrupted," she emphasized solemnly. "We need to confront him ourselves."

Ivy nodded sadly, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Indeed, our army's division was inevitable for this reason," she acknowledged.

Unfortunately, just as they discussed strategy, a massive battalion of Corrupted soldiers materialized before Alear and Kiran's group, barring their passage towards Evil Veyle and Hyacinth, followed by several Elusian soldiers backing the battalion.

The relentless barrage of Elusian and Corrupted soldiers formed an impassable barrier between Alear and Kiran's group and their objectives. Among those ready to defend their princess was Kagetsu, one of Ivy's most trusted retainers. Wielding his Wo Dao sword, he stood firm against the tide of darkness.

"These enemies may be unyielding," Kagetsu pledged resolutely. "But for Princess Ivy, I will never falter!"

Upon hearing Kagetsu's steadfast commitment, Ivy devised a plan. Reining in her wyvern, Ivy swooped low beside Kiran, her voice ringing clear above the chaos of battle. "Kiran," she asked hopefully. "Can you summon Kagetsu as a Hero to bolster our ranks?"

"Hmm?" Kiran muttered as he looked at Ivy. "I'm curious as to why you made that request."

"It's because Zelkov can fight at range using his daggers," Ivy explained. "Kagetsu is a Swordmaster, meaning he fights at close range and is thus vulnerable to ranged attackers."

Alear, focused on dispatching nearby Corrupted soldiers, turned to Kiran. "Ivy's right," she urged. "You should accept Ivy's request since we could use every advantage possible in this battle."

"Princess Ivy *is* correct," Zelkov agreed as he threw his Silver Daggers at one of the Corrupted soldiers. "Kagetsu will be *more* likely to survive should he be summoned as a Hero."

"Zappy!" Yunaka grinned as she took out an Elusian mage with her daggers. "For once, I agree with him! That samurai guy won't last long unless Kiran summons him!"

Kagetsu listened intently, his resolve unwavering as he slashed a Corrupted soldier wielding a Steel Axe. "Should Princess Ivy wish for me to be summoned by Kiran as a Hero," he promised. "I shall gladly comply. I am more than ready, Kiran!"

With Ivy's permission and Kagetsu's approval, Kiran loaded a single Golden Summon Orb with renewed determination into the Breidablik. He raised his voice above in confirmation. "Then, it's settled!" he commanded. "Cover me as I attempt to summon Kagetsu as a Hero!"

Prepared to face whatever challenges lay ahead, the group rallied together, shielding Kiran as he initiated the powerful summoning ritual.

Alear nodded decisively, positioning herself protectively in front of Kiran as he prepared to summon Kagetsu.

"Everyone!" Alear called out to her comrades, her voice steady and robust. "Defend Kiran during the summoning process!"

"They won't get past us!" Fjorm declared as she blocked a fireball from an Elusian Mage Infantry using her Ice Mirror II.

"I shall defend Kiran with what I have," Seiðr declared as she conjured multiple bolts of light at one of the Elusian Wyvern Riders.

Amidst the onslaught of battle, Elusian and Corrupted enemies charged toward them, intent on thwarting their efforts. As Alear and the rest of the group fought off the enemy battalion, Kiran aimed at Kagetsu with the Breidablik, focusing intently on where Kagetsu stood amongst the multitude of soldiers.

Chanting softly, Kiran invoked the power within himself. "Gathering wishes to call on the Swordmaster in service to the Snow Queen!" he chanted. "Become the path its light shines upon!"

As Kiran pulled the trigger, the Breidablik released a brilliant Golden Summon Orb, which arced gracefully through the air and engulfed Kagetsu in a gentle, radiant glow.

"Hero Summon!" Kiran finished chanting. "Brandish your blade, Kagetsu, the Onigiri Samurai!"

Transfixed by the divine energy coursing through him, Kagetsu watched in awe as his Wo Dao transformed into a magnificent weapon befitting a hero. His heart swelled with gratitude and duty.

"I am Kagetsu of Elusia!" Kagetsu solemnly pledged. "Kiran! From this day forth, I shall be a Hero, protecting you and Princess Ivy!"

Ivy's eyes widened in admiration as she witnessed Kagetsu's Wo Dao sword undergo a remarkable transformation upon his summons as a Hero. Unable to contain her curiosity, she had her wyvern fly closer to Kiran.

"Kiran, I noticed that Kagetsu's weapon has changed," Ivy asked, gesturing towards Kagetsu's newly empowered weapon. "What kind of sword is that?"

Intrigued by the question, Kiran scrutinized the blade with the Breidablik. "This is known as the Reversal Blade+," he informed Ivy, explaining, "It grants Kagetsu increased strength and agility while simultaneously weakening any enemy engaging him in combat – providing he either attacks first or remains close to an ally."

A satisfied smile spread across Ivy's features as she recalled her experience with such transformations. Ivy held her cherished Icebound Tome tightly. "Just like my Icebound Tome… To think this tome used to be a simple Thoron tome," she said to Kiran. "Yet, when you summoned me as a Hero, it became a unique tome suited to me."

Alear, observing the exchange, interjected optimistically, "With Kagetsu now a Hero," she remarked. "Our group stands a much stronger chance against the battalion of Corrupted soldiers obstructing our path."

Emboldened by their collective might, Kiran readied the Breidablik. "Then, we shouldn't dally any longer," he declared. "We have to plow our way through these Corrupted to reach Evil Veyle and Corrupted Hyacinth."

And thus, the group advanced, determined to overcome the formidable opposition.

At the heart of the charred remains of Florra Mill Town, the malevolent figure of Evil Veyle narrowed her eyes as she beheld Alear and Kiran's indomitable force laying waste to yet another horde of Elusian and Corrupted adversaries. Despite having dispersed a significant portion of their forces to contend with three of the Four Hounds, the tenacity of their group refused to wane.

Vexed, Evil Veyle turned her attention to Hyacinth, the former King of Elusia now twisted into an obedient Corrupted soldier.

"Corrupted Hyacinth!" Evil Veyle snarled imperiously. "Go forth and attack the enemy!"

"Yes…" Corrupted Hyacinth replied as he equipped his Master Lance. "Lady Veyle…"

Adhering to her command without hesitation, Corrupted Hyacinth led a sizable contingent of Elusians and Corrupted troops toward Alear and Kiran's advancing army.

Meanwhile, Evil Veyle cast a suspicious glance over to Mauvier, who stood silently nearby. With a sinister gleam in her eye, she briefly turned her attention to Mauvier.

"Mauvier," Evil Veyle addressed him. "I'll require your aid in countering Alear and Kiran Pathfinder when they eventually reach this area."

Mauvier, bound by the recent pact he had struck with Alear and Kiran, hesitated before responding. Reluctantly, he lied, feigning submission. "Of course, Lady… Veyle," he replied deceptively. "I shall defend you when the time arrives."

Evil Veyle detected Mauvier's hesitation for a fleeting instant, but she chose to overlook it, focusing instead on the encroaching threat posed by Alear and Kiran's relentless army.

Continuing their relentless advance, Alear and Kiran's group decimated any Corrupted or Elusian foes daring enough to cross their path. Amidst the carnage, Kagetsu, the recently summoned Hero, fought bravely with his Reversal Blade+.

"Rest in pieces!" Kagetsu declared as he slashed a Corrupted soldier.

Rosado, watching from afar, marveled at Kagetsu's prowess. "Look at Kagetsu go!" he exclaimed enthusiastically. "Isn't that adorable?"

"I agree," Goldmary remarked as she slashed an Elusian soldier with her Steel Sword. "He's more confident the moment Kiran summoned him."

High above her wyvern, Ivy observed the scene unfolding below. Her lips curved into a proud smile as she witnessed Kagetsu cutting down multiple enemies with ease. "He fights harder than usual," she remarked thoughtfully.

Alear nodded in agreement. "Perhaps he feels compelled to serve Ivy as her retainer," she suggested. "I suppose this is Kagetsu's way of showing his loyalty towards Ivy."

"As a newly summoned Hero," Kiran remarked. "Kagetsu appears more emboldened in defending Ivy's cause."

"I see," Ivy muttered as she reined in her wyvern. "Kagetsu is doing this for my sake…"

Suddenly, Baldraz's voice echoed within Kiran's Breidablik. "The Corrupted form of Hyacinth approaches with a sizeable contingent of Elusian and Corrupted soldiers," he warned ominously. "Be ready for them."

As the twisted visage of Corrupted Hyacinth and his menacing army came into view, Alear's voice rang out grimly to her companions. "Ivy and Hortensia," he asked them. "Are you two prepared to confront your father?"

Ivy closed her eyes briefly, her heart heavy with sorrowful anticipation. "No, Divine One. Honestly, I am not truly prepared," she confessed, "But we must bring an end to his torment and grant Father a peaceful passing."

Hortensia nodded sternly, sharing her sister's sentiment. "I know it's not easy to confront Father, especially since he has become... a Corrupted," she agreed with a tinge of hesitation and resolve. "But, I… think we need to confront him to move forward!"

Alear and Kiran briefly glanced at each other, knowing that what Hortensia said was her way of coping and that she and Ivy needed to take down their father and put him to rest.

Triandra, the lone alfr remaining with the group, offered encouragement. "I know well the pain of facing a father, having done what I needed to do," she sympathized, "But, what you two are doing is to grant your father a peaceful passing since he was brought back as a Corrupted."

As Triandra spoke, Kiran acted swiftly, conjuring five Sacred Seals from the depths of the Breidablik. He distributed these precious artifacts evenly among Ivy, Hortensia, Rosado, Kagetsu, and Triandra. "Use these items wisely," he instructed gravely, "They may provide the edge we need in this desperate hour."

As Kiran handed each of them a Sacred Seal, Kagetsu questioned the nature of the objects. "What exactly are these items, Kiran?" he inquired curiously.

"These are Sacred Seals, special items that only Heroes can wield. Each carries unique abilities tailored specifically to aid you in battle," Kiran explained. "Yours, Kagetsu, is named Darting Breath; it enhances your speed and special acceleration if the enemy strikes you first."

Rosado received the next seal, which was labeled Flier Formation. "So, Kiran," he asked. "What does the Flier Formation seal do?"

"Rosado, Flier Formation allows a flying Hero to move near another flying ally," Kiran replied. "I gave you that Sacred Seal because you're the only flyer among Hortensia's retainers."

As Rosado nodded to Kiran, Ivy's fingers carefully traced the intricate design of the Iote's Shield seal in her hands, a nostalgic sparkle in her eyes. "I remember asking Peony about how Sacred Seals work," she reminisced softly, her voice tinged with a hint of wonder.

Triandra nodded in agreement, her grip firm on the Aerobatics seal she held. "These Sacred Seals seem to focus on defense and support," she observed, her voice thoughtful. "Especially with my Aerobatics seal, it will allow me to reach an infantry or armored ally in need swiftly."

"We cannot afford to underestimate the challenge ahead," Kiran cautioned, emphasizing the importance of their newfound powers. "Corrupted Hyacinth and his army pose a great danger, and these Sacred Seals will prove essential in our struggle against them."

Listening intently to Kiran's exposition, Ivy discreetly placed the Iote's Shield seal within the hem of her gown. Turning to Alear and Kiran, she declared firmly, "You two should proceed and deal with Evil Veyle. Hortensia and I, alongside our retainers, will handle Father."

"Zappy!" Yunaka cheerfully chimed in as she glanced at Zelkov, who grunted in annoyance. "I wanna help out too! I feel that two dagger throwers are needed for this fight!"

Triandra, the enigmatic Dokkalfr of Nightmares, expressed her intention to join them. "Allow me to assist you," she proposed gently. "My powers over nightmares can grant a boon in battle."

Nodding in approval, Alear addressed Ivy, Hortensia, Zelkov, Yunaka, Kagetsu, Goldmary, and Triandra. "Very well, we'll trust in your abilities," she implored. "But be careful, all of you."

Kiran then addressed the group. "Alright," he declared. "In that case, the rest of us shall press onward to the center of Florra Mill Town and prepare for the inevitable clash with Evil Veyle."

As Alear, Kiran, Fjorm, and Seiðr moved away, Corrupted Hyacinth approached Ivy and Hortensia, his gaze filled with confusion. "Who are you?" he asked blankly, seemingly unaware of their identities. "Do I detect fear, hatred, or perhaps sadness in your expressions?"

Gripping their weapons tightly, Ivy and Hortensia steeled themselves, preparing to confront the Corrupted embodiment of their beloved father. With their retainers supporting them along with Yunaka and Triandra, Ivy and Hortensia were determined to put Hyacinth down and free him from the foul magics of Evil Veyle and Fell Dragon Sombron.

In the Realm of Ásgarðr, the golden twilight hues cast long shadows across the grand hall, where Thórr and Loki sat by an intricately carved chessboard. Thórr sighed deeply, her eyes lingering on the checkered battlefield where her Forma pieces lay in disarray.

Loki leaned back in her chair, a smug smirk on her lips. "Checkmate," she declared, her tone dripping with satisfaction. "I win this match."

Thórr met her gaze, a serene calmness in her demeanor. "I suppose I can take some solace," she replied evenly. "That you only win half the time."

Loki's smirk widened into a genuine smile. "Indeed, my dear," she said, her voice light and teasing. "And our match ended just in time, too."

Thórr's attention shifted to a magical projection hovering nearby, its shimmering surface revealing a scene of impending conflict. "It seems Kiran and his allies are about to confront their adversary," she observed, her tone growing serious as she watched Kiran, Alear, Fjorm, and Seiðr approach Evil Veyle.

Loki's eyes sparkled with playful mischief. "That's why, even if you lost, our chess match is a delightful way to pass the time," she said, leaning forward with interest. "Now we can watch the climax of the Battle of Firene unfold."

Thórr nodded, her gaze fixed on the projection. "As the climax of the battle unfolds," she mused aloud, her voice filled with anticipation. "What will Kiran do to triumph in that battle?"

The two Aesir goddesses watched in silence, the weight of their divine presence palpable in the room as the fate of the heroes below played out before them.

In Elyos, Kiran led Alear, Fjorm, and Seiðr ever closer to the looming presence of Evil Veyle. With every step, they cut down any Elusian and Corrupted enemy that dared obstruct their path.

Turning to his comrades, Kiran sought confirmation of their readiness. "The main confrontation draws near," he queried earnestly. "Are you all ready to protect me and confront Evil Veyle?"

Fjorm, steadfast as always. "Of course, Kiran," she replied. "I will do whatever I can to safeguard you."

Seiðr added her commitment, "Your survival is crucial, Kiran," she affirmed. "I vow to contribute to bringing down Evil Veyle."

"We've got this," Alear replied as she shared her thoughts. "But a part of me wants revenge against Evil Veyle for taking the Emblem Rings from us at Destinea Cathedral."

"Don't worry about that, Alear," Kiran offered reassurance."There will come a day when Emblems Marth, Celica, Sigurd, Roy, Leif, and Micaiah reunite with us."

"Of course," Alear replied as she smiled warmly, encouraged by Kiran's optimism. "I can't wait when that day comes..."

As Kiran, Alear, Fjorm, and Seiðr cautiously approached the burning center of Florra Mill Town, the air thick with the acrid scent of smoke and the crackling of flames, a haunting voice resonated from within Kiran's Breidablik. Baldraz, the enigmatic spirit tied to the ancient artifact, spoke with a sense of urgency.

"The time has come," Baldraz's voice echoed ominously in Kiran's mind. "Evil Veyle approaches, bearing the tainted Ring of the Hero-King. Be ready for her."

Just as Baldraz's warning settled in, a shadow fell over the group as Evil Veyle, accompanied by her Elusian and Corrupted army, emerged from the smoky haze. Alear's eyes widened as she caught sight of the corrupted artifact clutched in Evil Veyle's hand, the tainted Ring of the Hero-King, a symbol of power twisted by darkness.

"For the memory of Emblem Marth," Alear declared with determination, her grip tightening on her weapon. "Evil Veyle must be stopped."

Evil Veyle's lips curled into a chilling smirk as she let out a low, menacing chuckle. "Ah, you took your time to show yourselves finally," she taunted, her voice dripping with malice. "How fitting that the burning remains of Florra Mill Town will witness our battle."

"You raised Hyacinth as a Corrupted and burned off most of Florra Mill Town," Alear said as she glared at Evil Veyle. "You're a monster."

Kiran, his expression a mix of defiance and resolve, stepped forward to address the evil counterpart of the real Veyle. "I despise your sadism and wanton destruction," he declared. "Your reign of terror ends here."

The air around Evil Veyle seemed to distort as dark miasma leaked from her form, shrouding her in a sinister aura.

Fixing her gaze on Alear and Kiran, Evil Veyle's eyes gleamed with vengeful intent. "Silence!" she spat, her voice laced with venomous fury. "You both will pay dearly for what you did to me at Destinea Cathedral."

As the tension reached its peak, the moment Evil Veyle uttered her menacing threat, her Elusian and Corrupted army surged forward in a relentless charge towards Kiran, Alear, Fjorm, and Seiðr, their corrupted forms moving with unnatural speed and malice. To defend Kiran, Alear, Fjorm, and Seiðr stood in front of Kiran with their weapons ready.

"You won't get past me!" Fjorm declared as she blocked one magic attack from an Elusian Mage with her Ice Mirror II.

"I must keep going!" Seiðr declared as she used her eponymous staff to blast one of the Corrupted away.

As Fjorm and Seiðr took down several enemies, a radiant figure materialized beside Alear, emanating an aura of light and strength. It was Emblem Lucina, a manifestation from Alear's Ring of the Princess Exalt, who spoke with a voice filled with determination.

"Now's the time to engage with me, Alear," Emblem Lucina's voice resonated in Alear's mind, urging her into action against the looming threat. "Kiran will need everything at our disposal."

Alear nodded in response as her fingers gripped the Ring of the Princess Exalt tightly. "I understand," she declared. "Emblem Engage!"

Thus, Alear activated the Ring of the Princess Exalt and invoked its power, causing a radiant transformation to wash over her, assuming her Engaged form with newfound strength and agility.

Meanwhile, Fjorm and Seiðr stood their ground against the onslaught of the Elusian and Corrupted army, their weapons clashing in a symphony of battle as they defended their allies.

Evil Veyle, her eyes gleaming with malevolence, unleashed a dark orb of energy from her Obscurité toward Kiran, a lethal projectile aimed at his heart. Before the attack could find its mark, Alear leaped into action, wielding her Libération sword with precision and speed to intercept Evil Veyle's dark magic, deflecting it away harmlessly.

"You will not harm Kiran," Alear's voice rang out with fiery determination as she stood protectively in front of Kiran, her blade shimmering with a righteous light.

Evil Veyle, her features contorted with rage, sneered at the heroes before her. "You…" she scoffed at Alear, her voice dripping with sadistic delight. "I will enjoy brutally killing you both very much."

Undeterred by Evil Veyle's threats, Kiran met her gaze with unwavering resolve. "I have faced enemies far more menacing than you. You are but a fleeting shadow in the grand tapestry of challenges we have overcome," he declared, his voice echoing with a calm confidence that seemed to unsettle Evil Veyle.

Gritting her teeth in frustration, Evil Veyle's eyes blazed with utter contempt as she prepared to unleash her full wrath upon the heroes who dared to defy the will of Fell Dragon Sombron.

As the malevolent aura surrounding Evil Veyle intensified, more dark miasma seeped from her form like a twisted shroud of darkness. With a chilling smile curling her lips, she fixed her gaze on Kiran, her voice dripping with malice.

"You would dare underestimate me, Kiran Pathfinder?!" Evil Veyle's words were laced with venom as she taunted him. "For that, you will die right here and now!"

Alear's eyes widened in alarm as Evil Veyle unleashed another dark orb from her Obscurité, the lethal magic hurtling towards Kiran with deadly precision. With a sense of urgency, Alear shouted a warning to Kiran, her voice filled with concern.

"Kiran, watch out!" Alear exclaimed as she tried to run in front of Kiran to intercept Evil Veyle's attack once again.

Then, a Corrupted soldier, wielding a menacing Steel Axe, charged at Alear, intent on striking her down and preventing her from reaching Kiran in time to deflect the dark orb aimed at him. Alear braced herself for the impending attack, her focus divided as she prepared to defend against the oncoming threat.

"Kiran!" Alear said as she slashed the interfering Corrupted soldier. "Dodge that attack!"

Evil Veyle's grin widened with sadistic pleasure as she boasted to Kiran, her eyes alight with dark delight. "You should've dodged that attack," she taunted, relishing the impending confrontation. "You will meet your end here, by my hands."

Kiran, undaunted by Evil Veyle's threats, readied his Breidablik with a confident smirk playing on his lips. "Are you sure about that?" he challenged, his voice calm and collected as he prepared to face the Fell Child head-on. "I was banking on you to attack me and you fell for it."

With a swift motion, Kiran unleashed a brilliant light orb from the Breidablik, the radiant energy colliding with Evil Veyle's dark magic in a dazzling display of opposing forces. The clash of light and darkness created a blinding flash, causing Evil Veyle to shield her eyes from the overwhelming brilliance.

Sensing a crucial opening in the chaotic battlefield, Baldraz's voice resonated in Kiran's mind, urging him to take action.

"Kiran," Baldraz's words were filled with urgency and purpose. "It is time to summon two certain Heroes."

Kiran's smirk widened into a knowing grin. "I've been waiting for something like this," he muttered confidently. "All the pieces have fallen into place."

As the orbs of light and darkness continued colliding, the stage was set for a strategic maneuver that would shift the tide of battle and bring forth unexpected allies to aid in the fight against Evil Veyle and her dark forces.

As Male Alear and Veyle exited the Aether Resort's Dining Hall, their bellies satisfied from the hearty lunch they had just enjoyed, a warm camaraderie lingered between them. Male Alear turned to Veyle, his expression thoughtful as he spoke.

"Did you have your fill, Veyle?" Male Alear inquired, his voice tinged with concern.

Veyle beamed with contentment, her eyes sparkling with delight. "Oh, I indulged in a lot of spicy curry for lunch," she replied cheerfully. "It was delicious!"

A sudden soft, white glow enveloped their bodies, casting a gentle radiance around them. Male Alear's senses sharpened, a realization dawning upon him as he spoke with a sense of urgency.

"Veyle, do you feel that?" Male Alear's voice carried a sense of determination as he addressed Veyle. "Kiran needs us."

Veyle's eyes widened in anticipation, a fierce resolve burning within her as she responded with unwavering resolve.

"The day has come for me to confront my evil counterpart, Evil Veyle," Veyle declared, her voice filled with determination. "It seems Sharena was right all along."

Male Alear nodded in agreement, his gaze meeting Veyle's with a shared understanding. "Let's not keep Kiran waiting," he suggested, a sense of purpose guiding their actions.

In a dazzling display of light, Male Alear and Veyle vanished from the tranquil setting of the World of Zenith, their forms dissipating into motes of radiant energy. With unwavering determination, they embarked on their journey back to Elyos, ready to stand alongside Kiran and defend against the looming threat of Evil Veyle and her malevolent schemes.

The battlefield crackled with energy as the clash between the dark and light orbs reached a crescendo. Kiran's voice rang out confidently, his incantation echoing through the chaos.

"Gathering wishes to the Dragon Youth and the Gentle Dragon!" Kiran's words carried power as he invoked the ancient magic, channeling his resolve into a summoning spell. "Become the path its light shines upon!"

With a deafening explosion, the two opposing forces of darkness and light erupted in a blinding burst of energy, sending shockwaves rippling through the battlefield. Corrupted and Elusians alike were knocked off their feet, caught in the aftermath of the powerful collision, while Evil Veyle instinctively shielded her eyes from the overwhelming radiance.

As the brilliance began to fade, Evil Veyle cautiously opened her eyes, her gaze falling upon two figures that materialized before her. Kiran's voice resonated with authority as he completed the summoning ritual.

"Hero Summon!" Kiran declared, his tone unwavering as he welcomed the newly summoned allies to the fray. "I bring forth Male Alear and the real Veyle into battle!"

Male Alear stepped forward, his presence commanding as he addressed Kiran with a sense of readiness. "Kiran, I'm here," he stated simply, his gaze locked on the looming threat of Evil Veyle. "Veyle and I are here, and we will be your Heroes."

Veyle, her determination shining through, stood beside Male Alear, her eyes ablaze with fierce resolve as she spoke to Kiran with unwavering determination. "Don't worry anymore, Kiran," she pledged, her voice filled with conviction. "I'll fight alongside you against my evil counterpart."

Evil Veyle's gaze darted between the two newcomers, her frustration boiling over. She glared at the man who was the spitting image of the Divine One, then turned her fury towards the doppelganger standing before her.

"Impossible! I'm the real Veyle!" Evil Veyle screamed at Veyle, her voice filled with venom. "You! You're nothing but a defect!"

The real Veyle met her counterpart's gaze, her expression calm but resolute. "I'm not a defect," she said firmly. "You may share my appearance, but I'm nothing like you."

Male Alear drew his own Libération sword, positioning himself beside Veyle. "Now that Veyle and I have been summoned," he said, his voice filled with determination. "Together, we'll put an end to this."

Evil Veyle's eyes blazed with fury as she pointed a trembling finger at the real Veyle. "Mauvier!" she commanded with a venomous snarl. "Come and help me dispose of that defect!"

Mauvier, sitting astride his horse, hesitated for a moment, his gaze shifting between Evil Veyle and the real Veyle. With a resolute expression, he urged his horse forward, galloping towards the real Veyle. His decision was clear—his defection unmistakable.

"What?!" Evil Veyle gawked as Mauvier promptly switched sides. "What are you doing?!"

"Thank you, Mauvier," Veyle said to her Penitent Knight. "We can now fight together alongside Alear and Kiran."

Evil Veyle's glare intensified as she watched him. "Mauvier, you…" she spat, her voice seething with contempt. "You would dare betray me for that defect?!"

Mauvier reined in his horse beside the real Veyle, his calm demeanor contrasting sharply with the chaos around him. "I have known all along that you are not the real Veyle," he said, his voice steady. "After the battle in Destinea Cathedral, I made a pact with Alear and Kiran."

Evil Veyle's eyes widened in shock as Mauvier's Flame Lance transformed into an ornate black lance, its dark power emanating a sense of finality. This lance was the Penitent Lance, a symbol of Mauvier's atonement and redemption.

Kiran stepped forward, his expression resolute. "As you can see, Evil Veyle," he revealed, his voice filled with quiet triumph. "I summoned Mauvier as a Hero a few days ago in Destinea Cathedral, right under your nose..."

A few days ago, back at Destinea Cathedral...

"Mauvier, because of your loyalties to Veyle," Kiran offered with sincere intentions evident in his voice. "I have a proposition for you..."

Turning to Kiran, Mauvier's expression was earnest as he made his request. "If possible, I ask that you allow me to be summoned as a Hero to be with Lady Veyle," he implored, his voice carrying the weight of his commitment.

Kiran hesitated for a moment as Mauvier spoke of his intentions to join the group and allow himself to be summoned as a Hero. The weight of such a decision was evident in Kiran's furrowed brow and thoughtful gaze. Just as doubt began to creep in, a voice resonated from within the Breidablik.

"Kiran, what Mauvier said is true," Baldraz speaks telepathically to Kiran. "His words and intentions are genuine, as his potential to be summoned as a Hero."

As he heard Baldraz speaking to him, Kiran nodded, a sense of resolve settling upon him as he readied his Breidablik. Turning to Mauvier, he spoke with a mixture of determination and empathy in his voice.

"Alright. Since you wish to become a Hero to be with Veyle," Kiran said, his words carrying the weight of a solemn promise. "I will grant it."

"Kiran," Veyle spoke to him in gratitude. "I couldn't thank you enough for granting Mauvier's request."

"I agree with Lady Veyle," Mauvier replied with a small smile on his face. "Thank you for granting my request. This shall be my first step towards my atonement."

"Mauvier, we all make mistakes at various points in our lives," Alear said, clenching her right hand to emphasize her words. "But together, we can atone, make up for their mistakes, and change for the better."

Kiran nodded in agreement with Alear's words, his eyes reflecting a sense of shared responsibility and determination.

"We'll help with your atonement, Mauvier," Kiran assured him, his voice ringing with conviction as he readied his Breidablik. "Veyle and the rest of the Heroes will stand by your side as you strive to make amends and forge a new path."

The air was charged with a sense of purpose as the group rallied around Mauvier, each member offering their support and understanding in their own way. The journey ahead would be challenging, but with their united resolve, they were prepared to face whatever trials lay in wait.

As Mauvier watched Kiran load the Golden Summon Orb into the Breidablik, a sense of anticipation filled the air. Kiran, with a determined look in his eyes, aimed the divine relic at Mauvier, making Mauvier close his eyes as he braced himself for what was to come.

"Gathering stars to call upon Veyle's loyal knight whose path of redemption beings now!" Kiran chanted. "Become the path its light shines upon!"

The words echoed through the chamber as Kiran pulled the trigger, sending a beam of light from the Breidablik straight toward Mauvier. The room was bathed in a radiant glow as Kiran finished his incantation.

"Hero Summon!" Kiran finished chanting. "Atone as a Hero, Mauvier, Penitent Knight!"

Summoned as a Hero, Mauvier stood tall and introduced himself as a loyal knight to Lady Veyle, pledging his allegiance under the command of Kiran. His Flame Lance suddenly transformed into the Penitent Lance, a weapon fitting for Mauvier.

"I am Mauvier, a knight loyal to Lady Veyle," Mauvier introduced himself. "I am now a Hero under your command, Kiran."

A sense of relief and hope washed over the gathered group as Alear and Veyle smiled upon witnessing Mauvier's transformation into a Hero.

Kiran, his voice steady and commanding. "Although I've summoned you as a Hero, it's too early to defect just yet, Mauvier," he explained to Mauvier. "But, I have a proposition for you."

Mauvier, his gaze unwavering, replied, "I am listening, Kiran. Speak your proposition, and I shall consider it with the utmost care."

"Good," Kiran replied as numerous plans began to form in his mind as he glanced at Veyle. "You see, I have a plan, if Veyle approves of this, of course..."

Evil Veyle widened her eyes as Kiran explained to her what had transpired a few days ago. Her grip on her Obscurité tightened as she subconsciously denied the truth in front of her.

"No... No, no, no!" Evil Veyle bellowed as her body leaked out more miasma. "I refuse to believe this!"

"But, the truth is standing in front of you," Alear replied sternly at Evil Veyle. "How can you deny that?"

As Evil Veyle glared at Alear and Kiran while her body was leaking more miasma, Kiran noticed Evil Veyle's hesitation and he saw an opening for a declaration.

"Evil Veyle, you claim that you want retribution for what Alear and I did to you back at Destinea Cathedral," Kiran declared. "Unfortunately for you, it's the other way around!"

Suddenly, Kiran's Breidablik glowed brightly, and Alear, Fjorm, Seiðr, Male Alear, Veyle, and Mauvier felt themselves empowered by its brilliance.

"Huh…" Alear remarked as she felt a surge of power that affected her contract with Kiran, even in her Engaged form. "Kiran, what did you do…"

"I've never seen Kiran this serious," Fjorm remarked as she gazed upon the Summoner. "He had never shown this side of him before."

"As a goddess, I can sense Kiran's righteous anger," Seiðr remarked. "He is still composed and tranquil beneath that fury."

"Evil Veyle, you and Sombron may have won the battle in Destinea Cathedral, but you won't succeed in this battle!" Kiran declared as the Breidablik glowed brightly. "We will avenge for the Emblem Rings that you have stolen from Alear, and this time… You! Will! Lose!"

As she heard Kiran's declaration, Evil Veyle's body began to leak a torrent of miasma, her form trembling with rage. As a result, more Corrupted soldiers spawn out of the ground, bolstering Evil Veyle's army even more.

"Alear! Kiran Pathfinder! In Lord Sombron's name, defects like you will pay for your transgressions with your miserable lives!" Evil Veyle screamed, her voice echoing with madness as she activated the tainted Ring of the Hero-King. "Hero-King! Let's make it hurt, shall we?"

As the tainted manifestation of Emblem Marth appeared alongside Evil Veyle, the battlefield seemed to hold its breath as the confrontation reached its climax. The real Veyle, Mauvier, Alear, and Kiran stood united against Evil Veyle, their determination shining through the darkness. The main event of the Battle of Firene was about to begin, and the fate of Elyos hung in the balance.

And there you go! This chapter marks the end of the most recent installment of Emblems and Heroes.

I want to thank everyone who offered advice in brainstorming this story from the bottom of my heart.

And here is a Stinger this time.

Back at the Curse Directive encampment, Ebony sat in her tent, the dim light casting eerie shadows on the walls. She was deeply engrossed in examining the second Niðavellir blueprint Shade had stolen from Eitri's workshop. The intricate notes and detailed instructions were laid out before her, revealing the secrets to building a knock-off Breidablik.

As she studied the schematics, her brow furrowed in concentration, she muttered to herself, "Is it even possible to create a knock-off Breidablik with the remaining resources we have?" Her skepticism was evident, but she couldn't deny the allure of the blueprint's promise.

Suddenly, a sharp pain seared through her head, forcing her to clutch her temples. Ebony gasped as a vision overwhelmed her senses. She saw herself wearing Kiran's attire, wielding the Breidablik. Two figures stood beside her: a young man with short blue hair and a young woman with long white hair.

"Brother... With his help and her strategy, I will fix things. So wait for me..."

"Let's defend Zenith with everything we have… Right, K̵̡̤͕̻͉̻̻͋̑͛̉̅͐̓i̴̧̔͒͆r̷͖͖̘̋͒̒̀̕͜ă̷̗̣̙̹̞̬̠̆̉́̚n̸͔͆̾̉̀̄̾̓ Ebony?"

The vision was vivid, almost tangible, and then, as quickly as it had come, it faded, leaving her breathless and disoriented.

Ebony clutched her head, the remnants of the headache lingering. "What was that vision?" she muttered, her voice trembling slightly. "Why did I see myself wearing Kiran's attire and wielding the Breidablik?"

She took a few deep breaths, collecting her thoughts and calming her racing heart. The vision, though unsettling, had given her a strange sense of clarity. Ebony's eyes hardened with determination as she looked back at the blueprint.

"I care not for those visions... I'll focus on what I have on hand," Ebony declared, her voice resolute. "I will create a knock-off Breidablik based on this second blueprint... All for the sake of killing Kiran Pathfinder..."

With renewed focus, Ebony began to gather the necessary materials, her mind set on the task ahead. The vision had sparked something within her, and she was determined to see it through, no matter the cost.
