I uh, I have a problem. I got distracted with reading some fanfics and forgot to save this properly the first time I wrote this chapter…. I have saved ever paragraph this time around, but it's still taken longer than I wanted because I've been reading other stories (and even re-reading some stories). I don't think I should be an author, not even as a hobby. But on the same token I'd rather write down my ideas and get them out of my head. So uh yeah, if/when I get this story finished if someone out there thinks they could do it better then they have my permission to do so (just let me know when and where you post it so I can read it too). Anyway, let's get on to the story.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Fairy Tail. I do not own these characters. I do not own this story idea, at least not entirely. Then again, someone else may have had the same ideas I did. Eh, how about I don't own anything in this story. Is that a good enough disclaimer?

Chapter 14.

Downtime

"Urggh… Man my shoulder hurts."

Natsu groaned out as he returned to consciousness. Luckily for him it was Wendy that was checking in on him at the time, so a quick use of her healing magic numbed the pain in an instant.

"You really scared us there for a bit."

The blue haired girl spoke lowly, knowing he would still hear her.

"How bad is it?"

"Well..."

She started, trailing off as she moved towards the desk where the notes on his recovery were. While Wendy knew them fairly well, having been the one seeing to him while he was out, she felt more assured of her work when she had the clipboard in hand.

"We dealt with the burns and the frostbite rather easily, though we were all confused as to how they occurred. Most of the cuts were healed up no problem, but a couple did leave some scarring; as did the mauling that happened to your shoulder. Officially you've got a two and a half inch long scar on the back of your right calf, where your tendons were sliced, a ten inch scar from your hip up to your third rib on your left side, your shoulder has a set of jagged scars that look like something bit into and tore through your shoulder and they run down to the middle of your back, and there is a razor thin, half inch scar just above your right eye."

Recalling the instances that each of those wounds were dealt, Natsu just nodded.

"That sounds about right. What about internal damage and broken bones?"

"Your right arm was broken in three places, four of your ribs were broken and two were cracked, your ankle was sprained, you had a major concussion, the knuckles on your left had were all busted, and you had quite a bit of internal bleeding."

Natsu's eyebrows rose at that.

"Is that all? I expected more internal damage considering one of them was using Explosion magic of some kind."

"When they first brought you back, your magic was behaving sluggishly and hadn't gotten to work healing the minor bruises and cuts yet. Miss Porlyusica and I believe your magic raced through your body and healed most of the internal damages so that you could survive long enough for aide to be given, at which point your magic container was exhausted and couldn't do anything else until it recovered."

Wendy offered as a possible explanation. It made sense, and he couldn't think of a more plausible suggestion, so Natsu accepted her answer with a half shrug, before wincing at the movement of his shoulder.

"Right well, I still need to give gramps my report on what happened. After that if you would bring Cana and Koharu so I can see them? I remember those bastards saying they wanted to kidnap the two in order to make me fight with absolutely no restraint. I know they're fine considering I don't hear the guild in a panic, but I need to see them myself."

"I'll tell Cana to wait until you've spoken with the master before coming in."

Wendy nodded before she left the infirmary. Moments later the short form of Makarov walked in and took the chair she'd been sitting in.

"I must say you're looking a lot better now than you did when Gajeel carried you in here, my boy."

"Tartaros slaughtered everyone in that town."

Natsu retorted, deciding go get right down to buisness.

"I know. Gajeel, Gray, and Mira reported that the town was utterly destroyed and that Gajeel couldn't scent any survivors."

"It was a test."

That caused the guild master to look at him in confusion.

"Those bastards were ordered to test me. They were supposed to see just how dangerous a foe I am if I go all out, no restraint whatsoever. Supposedly the three of them were to keep me busy and fighting for my life while their guild-mates kidnapped Cana and Koharu so that I'd snap and go berserk to make it easier to get a full measure of my strength."

"I'm sorry did you say three?!"

The sheer panic in his voice caused Natsu to flinch even as he nodded.

"Yeah, three of them. Vesta, Jackal, and Silver. I've heard of Jackal before, but not the other two."

Staring at Natsu in fear, Makarov shakily replied.

"I've never heard of this Vesta, either. But Silver? He and Jackal number two of Tartaros' 'Nine Demon Gates' which are the nine strongest members outside of their guild master, at least according to the intel the Magic Council has on Tartaros."

"Does the council know that they're all demons? Specifically demons that were made by Zeref?"

"Yes, they do know. It's a closely guarded secret because they don't want the public to panic when they realize just how many demons Zeref made and just how many are still around."

"I guess that's a good idea. But really… I'm not sure I'd still be here if Silver was going all out like the other two. His Ice magic was able to overpower my flames and freeze them solid."

"That explains the frostbite and hypothermia symptoms."

Makarov nodded.

"Jackal wasn't particularly hard to fight, but he was almost as durable as me in Dragon Force and his stamina nearly matches mine. If you'd pass it along to the council, I recommend they consider Jackal and Silver to be threats that require multiple S-class to fight to a draw let alone subdue or capture."

"I'm not sure they would listen given your reputation and the fact you aren't S-class, but I'll let them know. How about this Vesta, character?"

That question made Natsu close his eyes and sigh.

"Vesta is no longer a threat. Apparently they didn't just push me until I passed out, they pushed me to black out and use a super dangerous technique that killed him."

"It's alright Natsu. I know you don't enjoy killing, and outside of Wyverns or Drakes, you go out of your way to avoid it. But he's still a threat. Unless they had their bonded book with them for you to destroy like with Lullaby or Deliora, Vesta will eventually revive."

The elderly mage tried to comfort the pink haired man. But Natsu shook his head.

"Not this time gramps… While I was out, Igneel pulled my mind to him so we could talk. Apparently I had a seal on a dangerous magic I couldn't control when he found me. I blacked out when I broke through that seal and forcefully merged that magic with my Fire Dragon magic. It only works on creatures of fire, which would include Fire Demons like Vesta, but I turned his body and soul into flames and devoured them. Igneel even mentioned that Silver and Jackal panicked when they saw what I did and fled immediately."

Natsu explained, lying about how it actually worked, and completely leaving out the fact that if Igneel was right, Natsu could do it to any and all of Zeref's demons.

"I see… Well I will leave that out of the report I send to the council and instead will say that he had his 'Book of Zeref' on him and you destroyed it with your last attack."

As it was a good idea Natsu just nodded.

"Now, the council already knows about Jackal and Silver's abilities, though I will be sure to mention that Silver's Ice magic is not affected by your flames like other Ice magic. But even if his book has been destroyed we should have some records on Vesta. What was he like?"

"Appearance wise Vesta was tall. I mean a good five or six inches taller than even Laxus or Gajeel. He wore pants similar to mine and that was it. His body was covered in flame tattoos, while both his hair and eyes were blood red."

Natsu started before closing his eyes and thinking back on the fight.

"Rather than coat his body in flames like me, he preferred to summon them and shape the fire into animals similar to maker magic. The were very powerful, black flames that were capable of ignoring my immunity to fire to burn me. Fighting wise, he would get up close and brawl with me, all while commanding his flames to take different shapes and attack when he created an opening. At least at first. When Jackal and Silver joined in he would hang back and follow up on Jackals attacks, either himself or with his flaming creations. I'd say it was annoying, but I'd either tank through Jackals attack or counter it and send him flying before charging in and bashing Vesta as hard as I could before Silver would attack."

Makarov looked a bit confused as he wrote down what Natsu said.

"I know you said they were supposed to test you for some reason, but it sounds as if they weren't taking you seriously at all."

"Oh they weren't. Not until I got pissed and used Dragon Force at least. But Silver did say they were only supposed to test me. So even when they started fighting for real, they weren't really teaming up and actively trying to overpower or kill me."

"Any clue at all on why they were trying to test your strength?"

Fairy Tail's guild master questioned as he looked towards Natsu once more.

"I can only think of one reason, and until I can talk to grandmother Selene about it, I won't tell you."

"Ah. Say no more."

The kindly older man replied with a nod and a small smile. Then he stood from the chair he'd been in.

"I think that should be enough to satisfy the council. Anyway, you take it easy now my boy."

"Yeah, see you later gramps."

Natsu said with a smile as the guild master moved to the door.

As Makarov walked out, Cana practically ran in. Her movement was a bit stiff, as if she hadn't been sleeping well. She plopped down into the chair Makarov had vacated, and looked Natsu dead in the eye.

"You had me really worried you know."

"I'd say it's not my fault that Tartaros targeted me, but I'm not entirely sure I would believe that myself right now."

Natsu replied as he raised his right hand to stroke her cheek, something in him screaming to maintain the physical contact with his mate.

"Gajeel and Gray just barely held off the guy they sent to kidnap Koharu and I. They weren't even able to scratch him really. It was horrifying to watch, and I felt so useless since I couldn't help them. I felt even more useless when I saw the shape you were in when Gajeel carried you back."

Cana's hands were wrapped around his wrist holding his arm against her cheek as she replied, but there was a noticeable tightening of her grip when she said the word useless. Despite the fact they both knew that wasn't true, as she was protecting Koharu when Gajeel and Gray were fighting, and that she doesn't know healing magic for helping him recover; Natsu nodded slowly. He instinctively understood that she didn't want or need the reminder or encouragement. Instead he tilted his head.

"Hey, when grandmother Selene gets back, we'll ask her if you can join in on our training sessions. Koharu's gotten used to most of the guild, so I'm sure we could ask someone to keep an eye on her for an hour or two."

That seemed to be the right thing to say as she relaxed once more.

"I'm sure Levy wouldn't mind. She's currently watching Koharu for me. I didn't think it would be a good idea to bring her in here while you're still bandaged up and recovering. It's not something she needs to see just yet."

"Not to mention the fact I think we need a bit of time for just the two of us."

Natsu muttered as he readjusted his sitting position so he wasn't fully stretching his arm out and causing discomfort in his shoulder.

-XXxxXxXxXxxXX-

Natsu ended up staying in the infirmary for another week after he first woke up, and even when Wendy and Porlyusica let him leave, they said to give it another two weeks before he could even start with light workouts, because his shoulder was still healing.

Three days after they let him return home, Selene found her way back to Magnolia. When she heard what happened she was furious enough that she wanted to track down Tartaros' guild hall and destroy them, though she was proud that he fought on an even level with three demons at the same time. Of course the conversation on the matter was private between her, Natsu, and Cana.

"I'm sure Igneel and Tektari gave you this lecture already, but you can't win every fight Natsu."

The dragoness had said.

"Not to mention the fact that the number of people I've met that could do the same can be counted on one hand. Of course by people I mean humans, but still. You haven't gone through dragonification yet, so you are still human, and therefore of a race that doesn't normally become this powerful."

"Igneel said something similar the other day. Apparently taking into account every human he and I both have met or seen from a distance, he's only seen a total of nine that could fight three demons at once. If we were to lower that down to two demons at once the number goes up by four."

Natsu had responded to that.

"Yes, I would put similar numbers up for that. Now if it were a one on one fight, I would say a few of your guild members could also at least fight to a draw against a demon, depending on the exact match-up, as there are a few demons that are uniquely powerful enough that a human could not hope to truly fight them on an equal footing one on one."

Cana shuddered when she heard that. Natsu wrapped his arm around her comfortingly.

"Don't worry about Tartaros. If they try anything I will crush them."

He said with a confidence that made both females turn to him.

"By the time you finish your training and go through dragonification you should be able to best those demons, though not all at once. But what has you so sure of it?"

Selene wondered.

"As my mate, you have the right to know about this, but I haven't brought it up yet because I wanted grandmother to confirm it for me."

Natsu said as he nodded at Cana before directing his attention back to his grandmother.

"You haven't brought him up because you weren't sure how I'd react given his reputation. But I have a brother don't I?"

Selene's silver hair swayed as she startled at his question, clearly shocked that he found out or remembered about his brother.

"Yes, but what does he have to do with why you are so sure the demons wouldn't be a problem?"

Thanks to Igneel and Tektari, Natsu was able to recall what happened when he blacked out, so he could start working to control the 'Demon Dragon' magic he'd created at the time. Recalling his thoughts and feelings at the time he held out his free hand palm up. It took a moment but wisps of crimson light started to float into the air from his palm.

It was unlike anything either Cana or Selene had seen before. But it felt familiar to them, as it still felt like Natsu's magic. It was soothing to Cana, as it pulsed with a vibrancy that she felt completely at ease with.

"Natsu what is that magic?"

Selene was confused however.

"I've never seen a magic like this."

So Natsu sighed and told them the story that Igneel had given him. Selene was shocked, but she couldn't deny that her grandson Zeref was foolhardy enough to do something like that. Cana was stunned by the reveal that Natsu's brother was the legendary 'Black Mage' Zeref. Of course after hearing what happened, she felt it was obvious how the man had come to have said moniker, and actually felt pity rather than fear.

"So you've created your own form of Dragon magic, only it is also made for fighting demons as well… And you've already used it to kill one demon. No wonder you're so confident that they would loose if they tried again."

Selene stated with a satisfied look on her face.

"Yeah, well, I don't think they will. They're demons that were made by Zeref after all. They obey his commands."

"So he ordered them to test you, just to see if you'd grown strong enough that he could explain everything to you and remove the seal? Why the hell didn't he do it himself?!"

Cana growled as she cottoned onto Natsu's thoughts.

"Because of his curse dearie. Ankhseram made sure he was punished for interfering with the life and death cycle. The more precious life is to him, the more likely his magic is to lash out and kill everything around him. Even if he's grown cold and uncaring for the most part, he would still feel pleasant emotions in regards to being near his family, which would trigger the curse and kill Natsu."

Selene explained, knowing more about the curse than Natsu and Igneel did. Having thought that would be the case, Natsu sighed.

"It looks like I need to find a capable tailor then."

"Why would you…. Oh. I see. Yes that would be a good idea. You do know that it would only work once before needing to be purified of the curse, and that healing magic would not work on you while you wore something affected by said curse, yes?"

Selene started before her eyes widened as she thought about what reasons Natsu would need a tailor. Cana was also stumped as to why Natsu would need a tailor in order to meet with his brother safely. Of course having seen his wardrobe she considered taking him to a tailor anyway so he would have some more fashionable clothes, but still.

"I didn't know that, but I still think I should do it. But what kind of magic would purify a curse set by a God?"

Natsu wondered as he looked to his grandmother for an answer.

"Well… If you were to met and befriend someone that had God Slaying magic, no mater the element, they would be able to purify the curse from whatever it is you were wearing. I could do it in a ritual format with Moon Dragon magic, young Wendy could do it with her Sky Dragon magic. Perhaps that old fool Elefseria could do it but I'm not sure. Other than that? Nobody would be powerful enough."

"There's options at least then… But it would probably be best to get multiple things made."

Natsu replied, grinning as a rough idea on how he could meet with his brother started to form. Cana was still confused, but Selene chuckled softly.

"Yes that would probably be smart. As would approaching your friend Erza and learning Re-Equip magic so that you could swap out whatever it is that was cursed for something that isn't cursed."

That made Cana laugh as Natsu groaned.

"I remember when Natsu asked her about that. He said it would be a good thing to learn so he wouldn't have to carry as much with him on jobs since he could store things in the pocket dimension that Re-Equip magic creates. She scoffed, told him to carry it all himself anyway. Then she said if he really wanted to learn it for that reason, he'd also have to take lessons on fighting with a weapon, since she would teach him her version of Re-Equip magic and that it wouldn't work if there wasn't a weapon or an armor in his pocket dimension."

Selene chuckled as well.

"It still wouldn't be a bad idea. What do you do when you come across an opponent you can't physically touch?"

Natsu tilted his head at that.

"It hasn't happened yet, but I always figured I'd do like Igneel did the one time we found some wraiths, and just roast my enemy with roar after roar until they fell."

"What about if they're immune to your flames? I can think of a few exceptionally rare beasts that you wouldn't be able to harm with your magic, nor could you beat them into submission with your bare hands."

Sighing Natsu shook his head.

"I get it, really I do. I just feel like I'd be turning my back on the way Igneel taught me if I started to use a weapon, even if I kept in in the pocket dimension and only brought it out if I really needed to."

That statement was enough to make Selene huff in exasperation. Cana understood wanting the connection to his adoptive father though.

"It's not like Igneel never used a weapon either. I remember when Atemera, the Solar Dragon King, named Igneel as his heir for the throne. There were several that protested because when he took human form Igneel would use weapons rather than his magic."

"I know. He's told me the stories. It's just, for the longest time; my magic, fighting style, and scarf were all I had as proof that he existed. It was proof that I wasn't a lying little brat as most of the world saw me. It was all I had connecting me to him."

The look on her face softened when Natsu answered. Selene took in a deep breath before speaking up.

"That's why we're going to help you prepare for the Trial of Dragons and going through dragonification. Igneel will be back and you'll be able to share even more with him. You can and will find more things to bond over."

Despite still being confused why Natsu would need a tailor, Cana spoke up as well.

"She's right Natsu. Besides, it would make me feel a lot better. I mean I know you can defend yourself, but if having a weapon means the difference between ending a fight quickly with fewer injuries versus taking a bit to win but having tons of injuries, I know I'd prefer the first option."

Knowing that Igneel would be agreeing with them if he were there, Natsu sighed.

"Alright, alright. I'll talk to Erza and even the snow cone about learning to use a weapon."

"The snow cone?"

Selene asked confusion evident on her face.

"It's one of the insulting nicknames that Natsu uses for Gray. The two of them are good friends, but they've always fought and argued with each other, including playful insults based on their magic."

Cana explained.

I see. Back when I was the alpha of my own den there was a pair of brothers that acted that way. But when we needed to fight, the two of them had each others backs. I assume that's how Natsu and Gray are?"

Both of the Fairy Tail mages nodded. Then Cana checked the time.

"Koharu should be waking up form her nap soon."

"Good. I enjoy spending time with my great-granddaughter and spoiling her."

-XXxxXxXxXxxXX-

"Oh Makarov what can I do for you today?"

A short woman with silver hair tied up into a bun called out as Makarov lead Natsu and Cana, who was carrying Koharu, into the small little store. After Cana and Selene convinced Natsu to learn to use a weapon he decided to ask the guild master if he knew of any tailor that might be able to work with the dragon scales he had from Igneel's hoard. While he wasn't absolutely sure she could, there was an old retired member of Fairy Tail that had become a tailor instead.

"Well young Natsu here asked if I knew of any tailors that might be able to work with these scales he has. Yours was the first name that came to mind, Druella."

"Oh you flatterer, you."

She chuckled as she hobbled towards the group.

"Let me see these scales and I'll see what I can do."

When she was close enough that he could hand her the box he put the scales in, Natsu saw her face go slack as her eyes lit up in delight and awe at the material in front of her.

"I have to say, I didn't think I'd ever get the chance to work with scales like these. What'd they come from a drake?"

She questioned, knowing they weren't from a wyvern as she'd worked with wyvern scales before. Natsu just shook his head.

"No. I found them in a hidden cave behind the one my adoptive father Igneel raised me in. Given their strength and size, I think they should be proof dragons exist."

Druella just threw her head back as she roared with laughter.

"Had it been anyone else, I wouldn't believe them. But you young man? I've heard all kinds of stories about you, so I doubt you're lying."

Ambling back towards the counter, she set the box on it as she grabbed one of the scales and tested it flexibility in her hands. Satisfied that it was a good material, she tested if she could poke a needle through it for sewing or stitching purposes. She even pulled out a dying kit to see if she could dye the scales different colors (though she did have to note that it took three times as long for the dye to work than it would for other materials).

"I should be able to work with these without too much of a hassle. Any idea exactly what you want made from these?"

"Several things really, but if this isn't enough scales for it all let me know and I can bring you more."

When she nodded at that, Natsu explained that he wanted two outfits made for him, with one of them being something relaxed yet semi-formal as he didn't like wearing a tuxedo for special events. Then he said that he wanted at least two outfits for Cana. At first he wanted to get Koharu something too, but Cana convinced him that their little girl would outgrow it rather quickly.

"Along with the clothes, I was hoping you could make a few simple accessories as well. You see I'm planning to meet up with someone whose been cursed, and these scales can absorb the curse and prevent it from affecting me, but I need one of my friends to purify them afterwords if I want them to work like that again."

"Perhaps another scarf like the one you've currently got?"

Druella wondered, but Cana shook her head.

"No. I mean it looks good and I bet one you make would be very high quality, but that scarf was given to him by Igneel, so I think the other accessories should be different because of how special it is to him. How about a couple leather bracelets with some scales hanging from it?"

"Maybe for you dearie, since that's a feminine design. But I can do a mens chain bracelet with the scales layered over each other, though I'd prefer to have some smaller scales for that."

"A chain bracelet is something like this right?"

Natsu asked as he pointed towards a rather simple yet sharp looking silver bracelet. When Druella nodded he smiled.

"Then I say go for it on the bracelet idea. I'd like at least four since I have no idea how many times I'll see this guy before we can break his curse. I can get you the smaller scales for them, but how many do you think you'll need?"

She gestured for him to reach out so she could measure his wrist before answering.

"Well for a wrist your size I'd need about 13 scales to make a bracelet like that, so at least 52 small scales, if not more should you want to get your lady friend here something as well."

"Maybe when the little one here is older. For now I don't want to wear much jewelry since she likes to tug on shiny things. I've actually stopped wearing earrings because of her."

Cana replied as she shook her head negatively. Druella shrugged, but Natsu just tilted his head. He already had an idea for something for her, but he'd surprise his mate with it later so he didn't say anything.

"Alright, now anything specific for the outfits?"

Despite the fact he would much rather wear sandals, Cana convinced him that a good pair of boots would help protect him from feet and ankle related injuries, so he asked for a pair of boots that were dyed black (he already had the fancy oxford style shoes for the semi-formal clothes). Other than that he had a pair of charcoal gray cargo pants made, a white belt, with a skin tight yet flexible sleeveless top that was the same black as his boots, yet had trim in a fiery orange. The outfit was to be finished off with a pair of black finger-less gloves that had fireproofed steel studs embedded between the knuckles.

For the semi-formal outfit, Natsu had decided he would forgo a blazer jacket, as well as a tie. To start, he wanted a pair of charcoal gray slacks and a matching vest. For the shirt, he asked for a short sleeved button up, as it would still look nice and presentable, without seeming out of place because he didn't have a tie. In terms of color, he didn't particularly mind, so Cana was the one to decide and she settled on a muted shade of red that reminded her of a mulled wine.

In Cana's case, she asked for two of the same outfit with the same colors for both. First she had made a pair of boots like Natsu's only she wanted them to be the natural color of the scales. Then she had a pair of black leather pants to go with them, and a short blue tube top, and a cream colored biker style jacket to match her boots. She hadn't wanted a semi-formal or even straight up formal outfit, as she hated having to get dressed up even more than Natsu did.

"Alright. I can do that. If you'll bring me the smaller scales for the bracelets, I can have everything done in about a week and a half."

Druella said as she finished writing down the order with their measurements.

Later when Natsu brought her the smaller scales he commissioned for her to use a scales to make a heart shaped pendant that would open up to show a photo of him and Cana with Koharu sitting in her lap, and their names engraved in the front in an elegant cursive script. Of course he wanted the pendant dyed to a strong yet shiny black, and the engraving to be done in silver.

-XXxxXxXxXxxXX-

"Oi, metal-head. I've got a request for ya."

Natsu commented as he walked up to where the Iron Dragon Slayer was sitting.

"Buzz off Salamander."

Gajeel growled as he had a headache and didn't really want to deal with anyone.

"Ich brauche deine Hilfe, um ein paar Sachen zu schmieden."

Looking around to make sure Koharu wasn't in earshot, Gajeel nodded.

"Fine. I'll help you make some shit later. For now leave me alone so I can get rid of this damn headache."

"Thanks. I'll let you know when I've set up a place for us to work."

Natsu replied before walking away.

Hours later the pink haired man lead his fellow slayer into the workshop he'd hastily set up for them to work in.

"So what exactly are you making and what materials are we using?"

The Iron Dragon Slayer wondered.

"Well, grandmother and Cana convinced me that I should learn how to use a weapon for the rare occasion that I can't just bash my enemies face in with my fists. So I figured I'd use some of the fangs and talons that Igneel left and make a few weapons, not just for myself but everyone in the den."

"We'd better get started then. Dragon materials take forever to forge properly. All of my piercings were made using the iron scales that Metalicanna shed, so trust me when I say this will take a few days. Also I don't need one. I have an axe I made, but I've never had to use it."

Natsu snorted.

"I somewhat expected that. I'm thinking a pair of short swords for Wendy, a dagger or two for Cana, and a glaive for me, but with a shorter handle so I can use it one handed if need be."

"Normally the alpha would get first priority for stuff like this, but I feel like you want the others kitted out before we do yours. So save the two longest of the fangs and talons for your weapon and show me the others so we can get started."

So uh… Yeah. I had the idea of Natsu using scales, fangs, and talons to make equipment from the start, but it wasn't until recently that I decided exactly how I wanted to do it. Now I'm not going to alter his fighting style really. I mean yes I will throw in a fight or two where he uses his glaive, but for the most part he'll still use his fists and brawl it out when his enemies. As for why I chose the glaive, well, I'm not a fan of axes and I thought swordsman Natsu was a bit overused in fanfics so I'd try something different. I'll give the actual description of his glaive in the chapter when he first breaks it out for a fight (mostly because I'm not 100% sure on what I want it to look like just yet).

Oh yeah, here's the translation for the 'Dragon language' as it's called in the story.

German: Ich brauche deine Hilfe, um ein paar Sachen zu schmieden.

English: I need your help forging some stuff.
