Chapter 12
authors note : Thank you for the support/feedback. Peyton will not be returning to town. Lucas deals with the consequences of his actions. And Brooke moves on.
I left the spare room in my house empty. Holding out hope that at some point i would be able to half quality time and maybe over night visits with my daughter. It was supposed to be her bedroom here with me and i will leave it empty until i know that i hav to let that dream die.
I threw myself into my writing it was a way for to escape the present and enter a fiction based world where i have alot more control and have life go the way i wish it would.
Seeing Brooke and especially Penelope around town was a dagger to my heart every time.
Brooke was not budging on this choice to keep me out of our daughter's life.
I had been there for Brooke during low moments. It wasn't in my nature to let people i love suffer or endure without me offering help.
Peyton was someone i cared for. I wouldnt of spent 5 years with her otherwise. Yet it felt as if Brooke was forcing my hand.
When all i wanted was to be there for everyone.
"I think its time for me to start dating. I've poured myself fully into being a mom and i have a handle on that. My line. I can handle letting someone else now." Brooke announced.
At brunch with Rachel and Haley.
"Finally. You're hot successful. And should have someone special around." Rachel replied.
"We want you to be happy." Haley chimed in.
"I am happy fufilled but in this area of my life. I've closed myself off and its time for that to change." Brooke insisted.

"Haley why are we here?" Lucas asked. Looking around on the roof of the cafe.
"This is a special place to us as best friends and i need to give you insight that you aren't getting or refusing to hear."
"What started off as love between you and Peyton became a search and rescue never ending situation."
"You have this need and obligation to save Peyton from herself."
"You're clouded and unable to resist her pain her vunerability."
"Because if you did you would feel like you're abandoning her."
"At some point you need to live you're own life because Peyton will sink or swim and if you aren't careful you are only going to have her left." Haley proclaimed.
