Maihark port city. Nouka Office.

Sitting within the Nouka Office, James had a look around at the artwork and other items that were within the office. He attempted to read one of the books. That was on a shelf, yet as strange as it was, he could not read it yet. Nouka and others spoke in perfect German. This was something to discuss at a later time; for now, the need for information was what he needed.

"I see you looking at the artwork; anyone that catches your eye?"

This was just some small talk to get things going.

"It is quite lovely, as strange as it seems, but I can't read your language to me; you are speaking my native language."

"To myself, you are speaking the common language; this is something we will need to work out, for I assume that we can't read what you write."

James would nod his head.

"I think we can get started with where I am from; my nation that I am native to is known as Germany; we are not the single nation that got brought here. At this time, we are working to get settled in, which is why we are here for first contact."

"There are myths of nations getting brought to this world if not for your clothing and what you have with you; I say you were out of your mind."

"I can agree with you on that matter, for in truth I would be saying the same to you if not for what I am seeing, everything has gotten the people on edge."

The both of them let out a small chuckle.

"Know could you tell me of the other nation you say that your homeland came but how many others?"

"It is known as the European Union; a total of 27 member states are part of it; some are small, some are large; we speak 24 languages. But it seems that we don't need to worry about that for some reason for verbal conversation, yet writing will still need to be worked out."

Nouka was surprised at the size of this EU; he was already working out plans to speak with the heads of the government and work out deals with them. Having them at their side at this time with Louria is breathing down their necks; they need all the help they can get. Yet he had to make sure it did not sound to this man, James, that they were trying to drag them into war, for that could sour things in the long run.

"I would like to ask what are the chances we can get an official from your government or the other to come here and speak with our government? I see you here is a first step but I will be up front with you. We are in a troubling time We are nearing the break of war. Louria, I assume Salt Paw told you. about them or anything at all around them, for they are the biggest problem for us."

"He told us a little about them that they are an all-human nation and have a major dislike towards non-humans."

James was still wrapping his head around the non-humans that seemed to live within this world compared to Earth; it was just humans.

"Why I am speaking about this is that I don't want you and your people to get into political ties with us, and we start to say, build bridges. And you think we dragged you into a war if or when Louria attacks us, and I think it is going to soon happen. I have reports that come in every day they have built up a massive navy, has an army over half a million, and along the borders they are building roads and fortresses. Everyone can see it, but we don't know what they are fully planning on doing when they are going to attack it all, unknowns."

"I see. I do thank you for being up front with me on this and not keeping it hidden. Why is this need of them for going to war? Have you done anything to them?"

"No, I know you don't have a reason to trust me on my word alone, but they were wise to wipe out the non-humans here and take over these lands. They have already driven out all non-humans that are within their lands here or killed them so far; it has not spilled over our borders, but it is only a matter of time."

"Hmm... I see that this is going to be much more complicated than I thought With all of this, I sent word to one of our ships to get work back to the homeland. Until then, would you not mind giving me a tour of your city? It will be some time before words get to them and I get a response back. Unless you got something else to speak about."

"I got nothing else at this time and I would not mind giving you a tour."

This was to kill time and to learn more about this world to bring the information back to Germany and the EU.

Now it was just a waiting game for everyone.
