"HOT! HOT!"

"Should have worn a swimsuit." Naruto deadpanned as he relaxed in boiling hot water. His body was leaking off steam as he boiled the water himself, turning the pond in a forest into a hot springs with his own body's Boil Release. He was putting the girls through their paces, and teaching them a method to train.

Learning how to walk on water.

"Sir, this is torture!"

"It's trainingl, and sometimes good training feels like torture. If you don't want to feel the heat, succeed. If you face down enemies who make heat, your going to feel the heat much worse then than now." Naruto ran that sentence through his head. He wondered if he said it right, because it sounded kind of off to him. "You guys should take a note from Jiro, she's already got the hang of it." Naruto stated as he pointed to the only girl who got the hang of the training right away.

Now, Jiro's clothes were soaked all the way through since she did fail once or twice, but she was successfully walking on top of water. She had taken off her jacket and her boots, so she was bare foot and her shirt was soaked, but she was still mostly dressed.

"Hot, HOT!" Ochako stripped out of her clothes, which were soaked with super heated water. The second she jumped out of the water, she couldn't take her clothes off fast enough. She grabbed the hem of her shirt and shook the hot water out of it. Even if she took her clothes off, she did keep her underwear on at least. She looked mildly cooked with the pink skin.

Tsuyu was managing to stand on top of the water, with her hands and feet just a few inches under the surface. She was getting the hang of it much quicker than Jiro, when you took her reserves of energy into account. It should have taken her more than twice the amount of time, but she was making good use of her sensing abilities to sense how much chakra Jiro used to stand on water, and trying to replicate the same amount.

Sensing abilities were a great learning tool.

Momo took a step in the water.

She then sank like a stone, before she quickly pulled herself from the heated pool. She had stripped down to her underwear the same way that Ochako did, and her long hair covered her face. She squeezed the hot water out of it.

"You can literally go change into swimsuits, I brought swimsuits for you." Look at Tsuyu, she's wearing it." Naruto pointed to Tsuyu, who got off of the water and blew on her hands and feet. The waters of her body that had submerged into the water were pink, but she herself seemed mostly fine. Jiro was hopping from foot to foot, since even if she could stand on the water, it wasn't like it wasn't hot for her.

"You didn't bring one that fit me." Momo stated, since she would have loved to change into a swimsuit.

All the swimsuits Naruto brought were just a few sizes too small for her.

"Then make one for yourself, you can do that." Naruto reminded her, and she blinked, before she realized he was right. She did just that and made a bikini for herself, and went behind a tree to change into it. Naruto looked at Ochako, who put her shirt back on and seemed more pumped up than ever.

"I'm going to do this! I've got this!" Ochako gave a war cry, a very cute and bubbly war cry. She ran at the water, and jumped up, before she landed on her feet. She stood on the water for half a second, before she sank like a stone when her control over her chakra faded away almost instantly. She lost her concentration too quickly to keep standing. "That was a mistake, I didn't have it!" Ochako jumped out of the water and took her shirt back off.

"Lets increase the temp a little." Naruto unleashed more steam from his body.

The water started to steam more as well.

"Is there an easier way to do this?"

"Yeah, there is an easier way. You can always make a clone do it for you, and whatever the clone experiences gets sent back to you. You can double the experience you get." Naruto explained the clone trick with a peace sign.

"I can do the Clone Quirk properly, it exhausts me too much." Jiro complained, since that training method sounded great. Yet, when she even made a single clone, she was so exhausted that she was left unable to properly move.

POOF*

2 Tsuyus calmly got on top of the water, and both of them tried using different levels of chakra than each other. They sensed what the other was doing, and made adjustments to what they were doing based on that. Naruto watched with interest as slowly, Tsuyu decreased the amount of flesh that was under the water. Then, the clone managed to stand on top of the water. Naruto splashed some water on the clone.

"Hot-"

It popped when the clone lost concentration on it's existence, and Tsuyu flinched when she got the memories of it being hot. She corrected herself though, and stated to control the same amount of chakra that the clone used. She went from standing on all fours, to standing on two feet next to Jiro when she started to master the training.

2 Ochakos ran at the water.

Both Ochakos sank in the water, and only the original came out of the water, rolling across the grass to cool herself off. Naruto clapped his hands.

"As a Pro Hero, pain is part of the job. Oooooh, Momo, you're maintiang 3 clones, and you didn't waste as much chakra this time." Naruto was glad that he had her do the Leaf Practice with the others, because it helped her control. Momo and 3 clones walked carefully towards the water, and all of them sat down at the edge.

"... Okay, so the water flucuates... a steady stream won't work... I've been using the mental image of a quirk that creates an air pocket." Momo explained as she went through her mental image.

Momo 2 nodded.

"Okay, then I'll go with a mental image of radio waves. Sending flucuating energy. What about you, other me?" Momo 2 asked to Momo 3, who just stuck her finger in the water.

"Heat causes molecules to speed up, which might have some kind of effect on how this works. I'll do the same thing as you, but I'll make the waves faster... I think I'll go with a constant, but fluctuating stream of energy, with a similar mental image." Momo 3 explained, and she looked at the original, who looked at the other clone.

"This is kind of freaky... how does this work, won't clones think the same as you?" Jiro whispered to Naruto as she watched the group of Momos talking to each other.

Naruto shook his head.

"Clones are exactly like you, but they don't always come to the same conclusion you do. If you were asked to look left or right, which way would you look?" Naruto asked her.

"Left."

"Well, if you made a clone, your clone might look right instead. Clones are you, but at the same time, they might make different choices, because if you are only 50% sure of something, the clone is also 50% sure. If you have 2 ideas in your head, both you and the clone can take different paths." Naruto watched as Momo and her clones walked towards the water, and they carefully tried to stand on top of it.

Half of them went under the water, and among that half, Momo herself had failed. It was 2 of her clones that remained standing on the water.

"Wait, so... if my clone learns how to play an instrument, do I learn how to play the same instrument?" Jiro asked as she mentally wrapped her brain around it. "... and if my clone does my homework for me, does that mean I learn what it learns?" Jiro asked for even more on the subject.

"Yep, and yep."

"Oh, so having a clone help you cuts the time it takes to learn stuff in half... in theory. The more clones you use, the more different ideas they can test out. It's like brute forcing lots of time into a smaller amount of time." Tsuyu had recieved her chakra back when the clone vanished, well most of her chakra. It would seem some of the chakra was wasted before coming back to her. "... so if I wanted to practice sparring with myself, I could improve my own hand to hand ability..."

"Wouldn't work as well, fighting yourself is okay, but not super effective. Having a teacher is better for stuff like that." Naruto didn't want her to get the idea that using clones was the perfect solution for everything. "At that point, you're just using your own personal judgement."

Momo listened all of that, and she looked at her two clones that were standing on the water. One of the clones was down to her shins in the water, and the other clone was only up to her ankles in water. Momo created a rock, and tossed it at the clone that was up to her ankles. Both she and her other clone got memories from the clone that she popped. The clone that was still around adjusted, and was up to her ankles instead of her shins. She then adjusted slightly more, and raised herself up off of the water.

Ochako sat next to Momo and watched with star struck eyes.

"Wow, that's so cool. You can watch yourself in real time." Ochako muttered, but she didn't have quite enough chakra to remake the clone that she made earlier. She had plenty of chakra left, but if she split herself again, she wouldn't be able to train anymore.

Momo created another clone using the chakra that she got back.

That clone then walked on top of the water, using about the same amount of chakra as the one who had gotten popped earlier.

"Okay, Momo 2, use a little more... Momo 3... use a little less." Momo instructed her clones. Both of them had figured out the wavelength to use, but the finer control needed to be worked on. With her standing at the edge of the water and watching them, she could direct them from a safe spot.

Naruto was impressed.

He handed Momo the keys to a learning tool, and she was taking great advantage of it. The girl was highly analytical, so she was able to make extremely good use of the clones by talking to them as they trained. Usually, he just allowed the clones to do whatever they wanted when he trained with them, but she didn't have his reserves.

Momo still had HUGE reserves, but her control was poor.

He would actually say that her reserves were on par with many Jonin, which considering she was still just starting out, implied she could have a ton of growth in the future. When he guessed her chakra would only grow 3 times stronger, he was starting to think that maybe he was wrong. He may have been downplaying her potential for growth.

"Momo 3... use a little bit more... just a little... Momo 2, use a little bit more... now a little less... little less... a little less... Momo 3... use a little less." Momo fine tuned the chakra they were using via her sight. She couldn't sense what was going on like Tsuyu could, but she could see it. With careful leadership, she was able to instruct both of her clones. After a few minutes, both of the clones were standing on top of the water.

They both popped, and Momo walked on top of the water when she got the feeling of 2 clones who had managed to get the right amount. She stumbled a little due to inexperience, but she joined Jiro and Tsuyu on top of the water. It was finally Ochako as the only one who had yet to complete the experience.

"I've got this!"

"Yeah, you've got this! I like that attitude, come on, you can do this!" Naruto stood up and grinned. Ochako's excitement was downright contagious, and he liked seeing her pysche herself up to succeed.

She jumped and sank in the water.

"She didn't have it." Jiro commented, and Ochako shouted and got out of the water.

-Later-

"It took me 7 hours to get it, but I got it in the end." Ochako was REALLY loving the COLD shower that she was taking with the other girls at Naruto's office. The ice cold water felt really good after her near-torture. "So... now we can walk on water." Ochako pointed out.

Tsuyu was silent.

'I wonder, I feel like we skipped something that would have made this easier, and I still feel like he's hiding a secret about this power.' Tsuyu couldn't help but doubt the true nature of the power in them. As she got better control of the water, she got a much better sense of what was going on. She could sense the stark differences between how much power was in each of them. She could sense the same power inside of Naruto's assistant Shikamaru, and she could sense a small source of the paper inside of Shikamaru's desk.

There were missing pieces to the puzzle.

"It's just a feeling... but I think Naruto is a lot stronger than he's letting on. Even when we did that Shunshin Quirk training, he never seemed to have any trouble with us. I know he said he was just predicting us, but I'm sure his eyes tracked us... do you think he's hiding the secret that makes this quirk more powerful?" Jiro questioned.

They all had questions.

"Well, it is kind of his Quirk, so him not revealing everything right away makes sense." Momo had the feeling that Naruto was downplaying himself for their sake, but she also got the feeling that he holding back in a lot of ways. She knew he could make way more clones than he led on, but he only ever had less than 20 clones running around Japan and solving problems. "I want to experiment with this quirk on my own... I want to try and reproduce different quirk abilities." Momo said.

"Ooooh, yeah, we can experiment. We can create different effects, can't we." Ochako had forgotten about the entire point of the quirk was to make different quirks, meaning experimenting was possible. "I want to try and make a Quirk that can make things heavier, since my own quirk makes things float." Ochako would love to discover a way to do the opposite of her own quirk, that way she could touch a bad guy and made their body too heavy for them to move around.

"I want to enhance the quirk I already have." Tsuyu wasn't a super creative person, but if she could use this quirk to enhance the current abilities of her quirk, then she would consider that a big win rather than risk hurting herself experimenting on potential abilities.

"I want to try and get X-ray vision. I can already use super hearing, but if I can find stuff with my hearing, then look for it with my eyes, that would be awesome." Jiro couldn't help but think that would be a cool combination of abilities to have.

Everyone agreed with her on that.

They could hardly wait to see what they learned tomorrow.
