In the girls' changing room...
Uraraka was already dressed in her hero costume and ready to do some hero training. Then her necklace began to glow. It felt more powerful than the cleaning spell in that moment. She knew right away that Midoriya was using the spell book for some reason. She could feel it as it glowed bright pink on her chest. It felt like it was draining her energy as she stood there staring at it.
"Uraraka, what's going on?" Ashido asked her, "Is it suppose to do all the time?"
"No. It's Izuku," Uraraka said to them, "He's using the spell book. He must've snuck it into the school."
Everyone in the changing room hoped that this wasn't true. They didn't want to get into trouble for bringing something like that onto school property. Mr. Aizawa would never stop lecturing them if he found out about this. They would maybe even confiscate it, and then they wouldn't be able to help Uraraka.
"You really don't think Midoriya would actually use the spell book for something stupid, do you?" Jirou asked them.
Uraraka didn't think so, but she still worried about him. The spell book was even trying to drain his quirk or something like that. She never even got around to telling anyone about that. Before she could even think about it, she decided to head out. She felt a little dizzy as she stumbled over her boots. For a moment, she felt like someone or something was reaching out to her.
It felt like that same energy or whatever it was in her dream.
"Are you okay Uraraka?" Asui asked her.
"Y-Yeah. Just a bit dizzy," Uraraka said back, "We need to help Izuku."
They soon left the changing room and headed to the boys' changing room. Before they knew it however, Midoriya almost bumped into Uraraka. He almost collided into her, but they moved out of the way. Uraraka noticed how scared he was of something and grabbed his wrist before he could leave. He tried to break free from her grasp, but she wouldn't let him.
"Izuku. What's going on? Why is my necklace glowing?" Uraraka asked him.
Midoriya didn't answer as he tried to run away from her. Then he realized who was holding his hand and looked at her for a moment. He looked at her necklace and noticed that the glowing was fading away. She could tell though that he done something with the spell book.
"Izuku. What did you do?" Uraraka asked him, "Please don't tell me you snuck in the spell book."
Midoriya looked hurt that she would even mention it. He stopped resisting her and relaxed for a minute. Uraraka held his hand, noticing some weird energy coming off of it. It felt really warm and energized like her necklace. She could tell that something happened between him and the guys.
Midoriya didn't say anything, confirming her suspicions. They all stood there, looking disappointed in him. Uraraka noticed how hurt he looked and worried that he might've hurt someone.
"Izuku, please tell me what happened," Uraraka said to him with worried eyes.
Midoriya hesitated for a moment, and then noticed Uraraka's eyes looking more pink than ever before. Somehow knowing noticed this and only him. He had to help her out and fast.
"I-I...--"
Before he knew it, everyone in the boys' changing room came running out of there. Once Midoriya spotted Iida, Uraraka noticed how terrified Midoriya looked. Whatever he did, it was to Iida. Uraraka could tell by the way he held his throat and the look on his face. A couple of them noticed that Bakugo and Kirishima were still in the boys' changing room, and they didn't know why.
Then they all witnessed something go flying out of the boys' changing room.
It was the spell book.
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock and ran away from everyone. Uraraka felt the spell book go launching towards him, feeling that same energy as her necklace. Something about it also felt like Midoriya's quirk for some reason. The spell book chased after him, and Uraraka felt like she had to do something to stop it.
She ran after it, causing everyone to run after her.
"Uraraka! Don't go near it!" Kirishima cried out.
"I don't care about that! I just wanna to stop it from going after Izuku!" Uraraka cried back.
"Uraraka! Stop!" Everyone cried out as she kept running after him.
Uraraka couldn't stop running now. She soon caught up to the spell book, but it was still far away from her. It was launching towards Midoriya as if he were a magnet to the spell book. She tried to pick up the pace, but it was so much faster than she expected. She also felt a little tired from him using whatever spell or charm that Midoriya used.
The spell book was trying to keep up with him, but Uraraka had to do something in order to grab it. Luckily, she had her hero costume on in that moment. She aimed her gauntlet right at a wall across from her and launched it right at it. It got stuck in the wall, causing it to get stuck in it. She zoomed towards it as she tried to catch up. She was soon face to face with the spell book as she tried to grab it. Before she knew it, she had grabbed it and fallen to the floor.
Uraraka fell to the floor, causing the cord from her gauntlet to come off. The spell book tried to get away from her, but she gripped onto it as tightly as she could. Midoriya hesitated to come over to her, so he decided to stay away from her. Uraraka held onto it, but it wasn't letting up. Her necklace was even glowing as it fought her.
Everyone soon caught up to her as she tried to stop it from getting to Midoriya. Then she looked at Midoriya and thought of something that might help them out. She activated her quirk on the spell book, which caused it to calm down. It wasn't fighting against her anymore. If anything, it was relaxing into her hands.
Midoriya and everyone else was shocked to see that Uraraka actually managed to pull this off. The spell book settled down and soon stopped glowing pink and green. Everyone felt like they could finally relax as Uraraka held it carefully. Midoriya didn't dare get anywhere near the spell book. Uraraka looked at Midoriya, back at the spell book and then at Iida. She noticed how he looked hurt as he held his throat as if he were in pain.
"Uraraka, that was awesome! You actually caught it with your bare hands!" Ashido cried out with joy.
"Hey! I did as well! That thing is damn slippery!" Bakugo cried back.
Uraraka stood up, feeling a bit nervous as to what happened to Iida. She was about to ask them what happened, when a couple of teachers came running into the hallway. Everyone tensed up finding Mr. Aizawa and AllMight standing there looking concerned. Uraraka held the spell book and inconspiciously tried to hide it.
But Mr. Aizawa noticed her and glared daggers at her and everyone else.
"What is going on here?" Mr. Aizawa asked them, "This better be good."
Uraraka looked at Midoriya, and he looked a little nervous about facing Mr. Aizawa. He couldn't even sneak away or anything with the spell book. They were caught between a rock and a hard place. Iida tried to speak, but his throat hurt a lot which concerned Uraraka and everyone else here.
"Well, it's kind of long story," Uraraka said for Midoriya and her classmates.
Mr. Aizawa walked up to them, making them flinch on the spot.
"I've got plenty of time," Mr. Aizawa said back with a stern glare, "I figured that something happened when no one showed up for hero training."
He then glared at Midoriya, making him stiffen up in place.
Mr. Aizawa waved them over, and they all hesitantly followed him over to dormitory. They were at least glad that they would have more privacy to talk about it in the dormitory. Uraraka noticed that Midoriya kept his distance as she held the spell book. Something about it bothered at the moment, and she held it tight in her hands. She noticed that he kept glancing over at Iida who was still caressing his throat as if something was bothering it. Whatever happened between them, Uraraka hoped that this wouldn't affect their relationship.
She felt really bad that they even went on this trip together in the first place. Something about it made her feel bad for even inviting Iida. All she wanted was to bring him along so that they could be closer together. Now she feels like she made things much worse.
They all soon found themselves outside and headed back to the dormitory. They all walked there in their hero costumes. Uraraka had a feeling that they weren't going to be doing any sort of hero training tonight. She held the spell book in her hands, feeling something come over her. Something about the necklace and spell book together gave her a sense of urgency for some reason. She was drawn to it, and she almost felt the need to look through it. Uraraka felt like she was losing a bit of her energy from this morning as the necklace tried to reach out to her.
Something or someone kept trying to reach out to her. She could swear that she heard jingling bells in the distance as she held the spell book. Uraraka looked down at her necklace and felt like there was something inside of it. The wind picked up, which gave her chills as she looked down at it. Before she could do anything about it, Iida got her attention.
He snapped her out of it, and they all headed into the dormitory.
In Class 1-A's dormitory...
Midoriya felt nervous as everyone in his class were guided over to the common room. They all sat down as Mr. Aizawa and AllMight stood there by the TV to get a good look at everyone. Midoriya didn't even dare to look at Iida as they sat down to face their teachers. Mr. Aizawa glared at everyone with his quirk activated. For some reason, Mr. Aizawa looked at Midoriya and Uraraka like something was wrong.
He let out a long sigh like he was tired of talking to them.
"Alright. What happened here?" Mr. Aizawa asked them, "And don't try to avoid the subject. I want it the truth. Now."
Midoriya didn't even dare look at Mr. Aizawa as he stared at all of them. He looked at Uraraka who was holding the spell book under her arms. He could tell that she was contemplating on what to tell them.
Then he noticed something that Midoriya wasn't expecting.
"Uraraka. Necklaces are not allowed during hero training. You should know this by now," Mr. Aizawa told her.
He noticed Uraraka stiffen up, and she didn't know how she was going to get out of this one. Midoriya and her locked eyes with each other, and he knew that she had to tell him. He hoped that he would understand where they were coming from. They needed the spell book for Uraraka's necklace. She looked at him, and he could tell that she understood what he wanted her to do.
"Sorry sir, but you see... I can't take it off," Uraraka said to him, "It's kind of stuck."
Mr. Aizawa looked at her, and then looked at Midoriya who was nervous to say anything. He could tell that Mr. Aizawa knew that Midoriya gave it to her.
"Alright then. I'm listening. Why were you all running around in the hallway?" Mr. Aizawa asked them, "Iida? You better have a good explanation for all of this."
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock and could barely look at him. He did however notice how Iida was still in pain, making him feel much worse. Iida tried not to make it seem all that bad, but he could barely talk through the pain. He tried to, but it hurt so bad. Mr. Aizawa gave him a suspicious glare, and Midoriya could tell that he was in big trouble.
"Can someone explain to me why Iida is hurt?" Mr. Aizawa asked them, "Someone tell me what's going on or I'll give everyone detention."
Midoriya tried to avoid eye contact with Mr. Aizawa, but AllMight seemed to notice him looking nervous.
"Young Midoriya? Did something happen between you two?" AllMight asked him with a concerned tone.
Everyone got a little nervous as they all turned to Midoriya. He wanted to say something to AllMight of all people. With everyone looking at him however, he couldn't get himself to say anything. He looked at Iida, which just made him realize what he had done to him.
"I-I...--"
"It wasn't Izuku's fault."
Everyone turned to Uraraka, and they were all surprised that she even said anything. She held the spell book under her arm, but then hesitantly took it out. They all looked at her like this was not a good idea. Midoriya on the other hand didn't know what else to do in that moment.
"It's this book," Uraraka said back, "It may not look like much, but it's kind of something special. So is this necklace. You might not believe me if I told you."
"Try me," Mr. Aizawa said back with a glare.
Uraraka looked at everyone here, including Iida. Midoriya could tell that she felt bad for both Iida and Midorya in that moment. He could tell that Uraraka wanted to say something to them. Maybe this would soften the blow a bit.
"It's... kind of a spell book," Uraraka told them, "And this necklace is magical as well. That's why I can't take it off."
Mr. Aizawa and AllMight were definitely not expecting that to be their explanation. They stared at the spell book and her necklace for a moment, and Midoriya wondered what they were thinking exactly. Then Mr. Aizawa spoke up first on the matter. He rubbed his nose like he had a headache.
"Come on guys. I don't have time for this," Mr. Aizawa said back, "Tell me the truth or everyone gets detention."
"But she's telling the truth!" Kaminari cried out, causing Mr. Aizawa to use his quirk on them.
"Mr. Aizawa. I know it's hard to believe, but me, Izuku and Iida found these when we out shopping the other day," Uraraka tried to explain, "There was this older man that was selling them. We didn't know that they were actually magical. This necklace is stuck and doesn't have any latch on it now..."
Uraraka showed them by pulling at the back to show no latch or clasp. She couldn't even get it off by pulling it over her head. Then she held out the spell book like it might come alive.
"This spell book somehow latched itself onto Izuku. It even has his name written inside of it," Uraraka tried to explain as she opened the spell book to show them, "This older man didn't know his name and clearly this wasn't written by Izuku. It's not even ink."
They looked at it and were both surprised that it wasn't written at all. It was more like it came with the book itself.
"Mr. Amasawa's Book of Spells and Charms..." AllMight said it out loud, "That name sounds familiar. Doesn't it, Mr. Aizawa?"
"Maybe a little," Mr. Aizawa said back, "Please don't tell me that this older man that you bought this from was Mr. Amasawa."
Uraraka stiffened up, wondering if they knew something about this older man.
"It might've been," Uraraka said back a little nervously, "And this necklace was apparently his wife's. Whoever they are, I was wondering if they have quirks or some kind of power that has to do with magic."
Mr. Aizawa and AllMight's eyes widened in shock like they had realized something about those items.
"Mr. Amasawa and his wife...? And you don't happen to know his wife's name, do you?" AllMight asked her.
Midoriya could tell that Uraraka was thinking about it for a moment. Something about her seemed off for a moment as if she was listening to someone talking to her. He looked around the room and didn't see anyone else there that was talking to her. He didn't understand what was going on with her, but he could still feel that magic energy coming from the spell book even if it wasn't glowing.
"Sakura...?"
Midoriya didn't understand where she got that name from. Whoever that was, she was clearly Mr. Amasawa's wife. He worried that Uraraka was in trouble and looked at the necklace. It wasn't glowing and anything like that. It was somewhat dull, but still had magic and sparkles coming off of it. She looked at Iida and Midoriya, and they looked confused as to how she even got that name in the first place. AllMight and Mr. Aizawa thought about it for a moment as she stood there, still confused herself.
"Sakura Amasawa...?" AllMight said back as he thought about it, "Hmm... Well, I knew someone by the name of Yuki Amasawa. He actually went to U.A. with me and Mr. Aizawa here. He had a sorcerer type of quirk that was really impressive. Unfortunately, he could only do so much with a quirk like that and didn't get very far with it. The last I heard about his guy is that he found someone special to him. It must've been his wife, but I know nothing about this guy other than that."
"AllMight. Are you sure that he had a quirk and not something else?" Uraraka asked him, "I mean, I feel like there's something more going on with Mr. Amasawa. His wife especially seems a little bit... different from everyone else."
Midoriya could tell that he didn't know where this was going, but he was determined to help Uraraka. She had to know what was going on with Mr. Amasawa and his wife. He could tell that her necklace wasn't out of energy at the moment as she faced AllMight and Mr. Aizawa.
"Well, I've never heard of anyone that might have a special ability without it being a quirk," AllMight said to her, "Then again, I guess there are things that might still be out there that we don't know about. Mr. Amasawa was a little different from everyone else when we went to U.A. He didn't know how to control his quirk unless he wrote down what he needed to use it for..."
Uraraka noticed AllMight looking at the spell book as if he had just connected the dots.
"It was almost as if it were a spell or... charm..."
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock, realizing that AllMight knew this guy. He had gone to U.A. just like them. Uraraka shared a look with Midoriya and Iida and wondered if this meant anything. She held the book, but AllMight almost hesitated to hold it. He hesitated and went back to Mr. Aizawa's side.
Mr. Aizawa looked about ready to walk away from all of this. Then Midoriya noticed him trying to make sense of it all. He let out a sigh and looked at the spell book and Uraraka's necklace. Then he gave Midoriya and Iida suspicious looks, making Midoriya flinch on the spot.
"Whatever happened between you two, this better not have anything to do with this spell book," Mr. Aizawa said to them, "If this thing really works, I don't want any trouble caused by this book. It's not worth using it if your gonna to end up hurting someone with it. I might as well confiscate it right now."
Uraraka almost took it away from him before he could, but was nervous to do so.
"M-Mr. Aizawa, you can't!" Uraraka cried out, "We need it take this necklace off! It's the only way! No one else can take it off, and Izuku is the only one who can use this spell book!"
That confirmed it for Mr. Aizawa, and he glared at Midoriya. He activated his quirk, making Midoriya almost jump.
"So you did use it," Mr. Aizawa said to him with a piercing glare, "Whatever this book is, you shouldn't be use it whenever you want. You better not have used it to hurt anyone in this room."
Midoriya was shaking on the spot as he tried to avoid his gaze. Uraraka didn't want anyone else to get in trouble. They needed Midoriya's help for getting this necklace off of her. He really wanted to help Uraraka, but he did feel like there was more going on with both the necklace and the spell book. He didn't know what, but he could tell that Uraraka was going through something. That necklace was changing her appearance and no one else semed to notice, but there was something else. He couldn't pinpoint what it was though at the moment.
Midoriya hesitated to say anything, but he couldn't get himself to do it.
"I-I didn't mean to... I-I just... got upset... a-and..." Midoriya trailed off as Uraraka stood there.
Mr. Aizawa looked at Iida, and Uraraka could tell that who knew for the most part what happened between them. He let out a sigh and looked at Midoriya with a stern glare.
"Midoriya. I may not know what exactly happened, but I do know that what you did was not okay. You hurt one of my classmates, so you're going to have to face the consequences... Chores around the dormitory for a week," Mr. Aizawa said to him.
"Y-Yes sir..." Midoriya said back as he looked away from him in shame.
Uraraka looked at Midoriya and worried about how this might affect their progress. For some reason however, he noticed her seeming to be okay with it.
"I'm going to confiscate it. If it's that important to take off that necklace, then I'd rather you guys figure it out quickly," Mr. Aizawa explained to them, "Is there anything about the necklace that I should be worried about?"
Midoriya noticed that Uraraka avoided looking back at them for some reason. She seemed to be a bit out of it for a moment. For a minute there, he thought he felt something or someone was in the room with them. He could swear he saw a pink glow or orb in the corner of the room, but it felt closer than that. He knew that there was something here, but couldn't seem to pinpoint where it was. He then looked at Uraraka and noticed her listening to something nearby. He didn't know what she was doing, but worried about her wearing that necklace for a lot longer than they planned.
"No. It just glows here and there. Nothing more than that," Uraraka told them.
Midoriya's eyes widened, and everyone else were also shocked to hear her say this. Midoriya didn't understand where this was coming from and hoped that she was only saying this so that they didn't get into more trouble. He couldn't help but look at the necklace and wondered what this was doing to her.
Mr. Aizawa looked at all of them and soon let them go. He was exhausted and needed some rest from all of this drama. Even AllMight was a little tired from all of this and walked away to let them handle this.
Uraraka held the spell book, and Midoriya could feel something coming off of it.
It felt like it had more magic stored inside of it than when they first had it.
