I want to remember us until the end- Chapter 12
McGarrett's home, 8:45 PM, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawaii
Catherine put down slowly her glass of wine on the table while Steve was looking at her.
-"Do you dispute my talents as a chef, now?" he asked with a smile.
Catherine put her two hands up, in sign of retreat.
-"No, it was perfect. Thank you, sailor."
She looked all around her for seeing everything that Steve have done : he had laid the table just next to the little beach and the result was beautiful and a little bit romantic.
-"Tell me, Steve, why have you done that?" she asked.
-"Because I want to tell you something" he replied.
-"What is it?"
Steve stood up and went to Catherine, without a word. She looked at him, seeing his serious face, and she understood that the next moment, whatever will be, will be important.
Steve brought out his pocket the brown box he had for a long time now, and leaned a knee over. Catherine, understanding what going to happen next, put a hand on her mouth, trying to hide a puffing and some tears appeared in her eyes.
He took her left hand in his right one before opened the box, revealing the ring he had chosen a long time ago now. When he had asked himself about choose another one, he thought it was bot a good idea because he realized one more time his feelings for Catherine hadn't changed with the years. It was even the opposite: everyday, he loves more Catherine than the previous day.
Steve took a long breath before saying his speech.
-"Cath, I met you twenty years ago and the first time I've seen you, I thought how much you were beautiful. You are more beautiful no, but it's not the question now", Steve began to get muddle and Catherine smiled before putting a little pressure on his hand to encourage him. "We became friends and I thank everyday God for that. I fall in love with you, Cath, not so much time after and I tried to hide it but my feelings were too high. I love you, you know…"
-"I love you too, sailor" Cath whispered, with tears on her face.
Steve did a little smile before continuing.
-"I love you like words can't explain it, Cath. Sometimes, some obstacles were on our way, but our love is faster than them because now, we are together. And today, I just ask you if you want to share the rest of your life with me. Catherine Elizabeth Rollins, will you marry me and make me the honor to be my wife and me to be your husband.
-"Yes, she whispered and then she repeated it several times. Yes, a thousand times yes, I want it!"
A relieved and happy smile appeared on Steve's face and his gestures trembled a little bit when he passed the engagement ring on her finger. He picked up, wiped away the last tears on Cath's face before kissed her us right and proper.
-"I'm impatient to become Mrs. McGarrett" Catherine said.
-"You want to take my name?" Steve was surprised.
-"I always want to, she replied with a smile. Since when you have decided to do that?"
-"Classified."
-"Classified? Seriously? You know, I can be very… persuasive, sailor." She whispered while put one of her hands under his black shirt.
-"Cath, that's not fair-play, what you are doing" he noticed trying to concentrate on seem relax while he was exciting by Catherine's hand on his back and the fact he felt on his skin the cold engagement ring and he realized one more time Catherine was his fiancé.
Fiancé… It means that they are gonna be married in a few months, spend the rest of their life together, and Steve was happy to think that.
At a moment, he couldn't hold out with this torture, and he kissed Catherine with all his love, so it was very intense. Catherine understood the message of what going to happen next, and she put her legs around his waist, so they became a little bit closer each other. She felt the little bump in his trousers and this little thing made her a little more excited, so a little groan bursted from her lips.
Steve put his hand under Cath's buttock to pick her up of the chair. She took him by the shoulders before he put her down on the sand, slowly.
They continued to kiss each other, their love act illuminated by the stars.
That's done! Cath and Steve are now engaged! Finally, we can say that! We are waiting for that since a long time now… I always asking myself about what AOL, Peter Lenkov and Michelle Borth thought about the story of McRoll and what they wanted to see for this couple. We know that is sure that the two have to be gathered together, because they are soulmate. But, what about the two others? Michelle had said when the last episode of the series she was happy of the ending, but I've never seen an AOL reaction. Tell me if I'm wrong!
I'm so sorry for the long time I spend before publishing this chapter. I'm a little bit overbooked because of my studies and I try to write as much as possible, but I read some stories on too, and I found some incredible stories! Seriously, thank you to all the writers which take the time to write what they think about the Hawaii Five-o series, especially McRoll.
I don't know if you had seen, but I'm now a beta reader and if you want, I can try to read your stories, even if you think that's not so good to be on the website.
