One month later, Cath's POV.
The life continued, with its lot of joy and sadness. Steve became a little bit impatient about the fact I was not pregnant yet. I could understand it, even if I thought he lived that better than me. I announced to my parents my engagement with Steve, and they were very happy. Dad revealed me Steve had already ask THE question, five years ago now, and he was very happy that's happened, finally.
We announced it to the ohana too and I can say their words were very touching and meant the world. When I came back to Hawaii, I was very worried about they going to reject me, and I'm happy to see it's the opposite case. Even Danny looked like to appreciate me and that's a good point for me because I know how much a disagree between the two best friends is not good.
I was reading a book when I heard Steve's car. And like every time, a smile appeared on my face.
McGarrett's home, 8:00 PM, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawaii
When Steve entered in the house, he was greeted by a long kiss by his fiancée. He let intentionally the kiss drag on they finished by separate each other and they were out of breath. A smile appeared on Cath's swollen lips and Steve noticed one more time how much she was beautiful.
-"I take appointments, for the checkup" he said.
-"What?" she replied, surprised.
-"The appointments for the…" he began.
-"Yes, I have understood, but I would like you to tell me before» Catherine declared.
Steve frowned, not sure to understand.
-"Wait, Cath, I don't follow you. Do you want some kids or not?" he asked.
-"My answer is still the same but I'd like to wait before do that in an artificial way."
-"But…It amounts to the same thing" Steve noticed.
-"Sailor…not tonight" she said before leaving the room and she let Steve completely lost.
During the rest of the evening, Steve didn't say a word. He looked like angry, and Catherine couldn't say what she wanted to say. Why she wanted to wait.
She was in late, so she thought it will be not a good idea to make some examinations if she was really pregnant…
The tomorrow, unprecise location, 3:00 PM, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawaii
Catherine's POV
Alleluia! I think I made the most stupid dance ever on earth, but I don't care. I was so happy to. We had made it! Some tears of joy rolled on my face, and I laughed at the same time. I think if someone see me now, he probably thinks that I'm crazy. But I think I was just hormonal. I can't believe the sentence written on the paper I've in my hands. I'm pregnant for a month, now. I wanted to call Steve to announce him the great new, but I changed my decision. Since the last week, we couldn't say the situation was better, I hoped that with this new, we will go away…I'm so impatient!
The evening, McGarrett's home, 8:45 PM, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawaii
Steve came back home after a calm day at Five-o. He proposed to Danny to come dinner at home, and he accepted. When they arrived, Catherine stood up to greet them and she looked like happy. It seemed very strange to Steve because their couple situation wasn't as so happy as she was.
-"Maybe she had reflected and she changed her decision ?" Danny said.
Maybe… But Steve didn't think so, for be honest.
The evening was calm, and Steve and Danny decided to watch a football game at TV, but Cath announced that she was tired, and she wanted to go at bed.
When Steve went at the upstairs to go at bed, two hours and a half later, he couldn't help to admire his fiancé in her sleep because he found her beautiful.
The tomorrow morning, McGarrett's home, 6:45 PM, Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawaii
When Cath opened her eyes, Steve was still asleep on her sides and her left hand was in his right one. After a little time of surprise, she smiled and at the same time, her fiancé woke up and a smile appeared on his face. Her heart missed a rate and Cath asked herself who can be so in love of someone.
-"A good sleep, commander?" she asked and Steve nodded before kissed her.
She thought it had a long time since they had a moment like this, and she missed already it. She called him, thinking it can be a good moment to announce him the great new, her pregnancy, but at the same time, when she opened her mouths, Steve's phone rang, and he cursed before picked it up.
Steve's POV
When Danny's car arrived, my heart missed a rate to leave home while the morning presented good. I don't know if Catherine have changed her decision, but I hoped that so much! Anyway, I will put the subject on the table again, even if I know a blank will follow. I knew also I wanted to have some kids, and thought the thing dropped of my hands made me afraid.
When I came back home the evening, I was surprised to see Catherine talking with someone I didn't' know. She was smiling and laughing with him, and I confess I was a little bit jealous.
Two chapter in a day! That's a little bit incredible, isn't it? But I hadn't posted so much this last time, so I try to make up the lost time….
Catherine is pregnant! But Steve didn't know it… Maybe in the last chapter. Yeah, I know, it a big cliffhanger I put right here.
Who is the person who Catherine is talking to? Mystery until the next chapter!
