Aikatsu Stars! Melody Start!
Star 7: Yay! First-Years Welcome Party!
The First Year Welcoming party is coming up and we, first years, have to perform a skit for the others during that party. Ako is my partner for this and I was thankful. We decided to plan in the cafeteria and thought about what to do. So far, we had the idea of doing a song, but Yume and Rola are doing that. Magic show was an option but Koharu is doing that already.
"Why not a stand-up act?" I mentioned.
"Stand up?" Ako blinked. "You mean comedy? Do you really think we're funny?"
"Yeah." I told her as I sat up. "I'll act like the lazy one that questions everything and you can be the serious one with almost all the answers," I told her. Seeing her unsure face I sighed. "Come on. Let's try it out."
"How?" Ako asked as I waved at a random person. "Alright. Let's see."
"Hello~! We were curious about something, can you help?" I asked in a sleepy voice.
"If I can help you, sure." She replied with a smile.
"So, a friend asked me if I wanted to hang out but I didn't want to leave home." I told her as I leaned my head against my arm on the table. "Therefore, I go and ask my mom if she wants me to help with chores, and she says yes. So I tell my friend that I have to help my mom with chores. Is that lying?"
Ako shoot up. "It is! Just tell your friend the truth!"
I lay on the table. "But dealing with people is a lot of work~!" I yawned.
"What do you mean? A lot of work? It's a conversation!" Ako slammed her hands on her desk. "This is a conversation!"
"No, it's like a lecture." I pointed out and made Ako gasp. "Wow, you just realized it."
We both looked over at the third girl who was laughing at our little show. "What is this? Are you always like this?" She asked.
"No, I was just telling Ako that we could do something like this comedy for the first-years show." I explained as Ako recovered. "Thanks for being our first victim."
"Don't call her a victim. It sounds wrong." Ako sighed but smiled as the girl laughed. "I gotta say, you know your stuff. Also, you're good at acting as well."
That's cause I have years of experience and know how to take on different faces to make others like me. Now don't look at me like that. It's not being fake. It's called adulting. Everyone has to do it.
"I don't know." I told her. "I can act like a lazy person pretty well." I told her with a lazy smile. "Well, let's make some jokes and get ready~!"
"Yeah, let's." Ako smiled, but she seemed a bit too excited. Let's hope we don't fail.
"Oh yeah." The girl spoke up. "My partner and I are doing a dance for our show, we were wondering if we could use the song that you sang the first-year debuts?"
"Eh? You mean Clear?" I asked, confused. "Um… Well, I guess you can."
"Thank you!" She smiled. "Is there a recording we can use?"
"Ah, no…" I blinked, "I gotta make one. I'll go record it real quick."
"Thank you!" She rushed away and I waved.
"You gotta record that song?" Ako blinked.
"Yeah, I want to remix it too so that it's more of a dance song than the one I used before." I explained as I got up from my chair. "It'll be real quick. I'll meet you back at the dorm." I waved at her and rushed off. "Of course, I want to remix it and change the lyrics, I stole it after all."
The day of the First-Years party, Ako and I did an amazing job. Everyone was laughing at everything Ako and I said. I even took it a step forward by bringing a blanket and pillow to 'sleep' while Ako was lecturing. She didn't miss a beat by pulling the blanket off of me. Honestly, it was fun to act with Ako.
Next was the duo that was dancing to Clear. Of course, I remixed it and recorded my voice so it was easier to dance to. They even thanked me for the song. I was a bit embarrassed but it was fun to watch.
"Nanase-san's song is so cute!" One girl squealed. "I have to sing it one day."
"I know right? I was thinking the same thing!"
"Oh, it would be a cute duet!"
"Yes, yes! I was thinking the same thing!"
"I hope I can use it too, one day." A familiar voice spoke from behind me and everyone gasped. I turned to see Hime-senpai and froze. "It's a very pretty song with an amazing message."
I was now really nervous. After all, I didn't write it. "Well, I don't really care if you all use it. I shared it so all of you can use the song after all. I'm really honored you like it."
"I hope you bring more songs to Flower Song Class," Hime said, making me nervous. I couldn't control my facial expression. I mean, I wanted to avoid that class since Yume and Rola were going to that class and were rivals. I guess I made her uncomfortable because she gave me an apologetic smile. "Ah, the next act is up. Well, then if you'll excuse me."
I watched her walk away and then looked at my feet as the others congratulated me. I guess that was Hime's way of recruiting me. However, I wasn't happy about it. In the anime, I didn't like Hime. She was just so… unpredictable and secretive. She worked with the principal to challenge Yume. I don't want her attention.
"Hibiki," Ako called to me, getting my attention, "are you okay?"
"Ah, yeah!" I gave her a smile. "I just… I'm not used to getting this much attention. It's making me uncomfortable."
"Then let's go somewhere quiet while we watch the next act." Ako smiled. "Want some water?"
I feel much better with Ako talking to me. She was amazing. Fangirl besties are the best. After getting some water, I waited for the next act and was happy to watch. It made me think about Yume and I just sighed. Yume's power from before can actually hurt her. Can I help her not use it? Well, I don't really know what causes it either. Maybe I should research it more. Oh yeah. I know about the idol that used that power all the time. Maybe I could meet her.
Soon it was time for Rola and Yume's duet. It was great and Yume's power didn't show up. However, she still did great. We even got to see an interesting scene of Rola standing up for Yume. Hearing girls be a little mean Yume did break my heart, but Cool Rola made me fangirl.
"Wow!" I exclaimed as I clapped my hands. "Rola is cool~!"
"Of course." Rola pouted but she had a small blush.
"Very impressive." Ako chuckled and made Rola smile. "However, I have to say if this is what Yume's level is now without that special rush thing, then she'll be fine."
"Thank you, Saotome-san!" Yume smiled as I blinked.
Wait, these two are supposed to befriend each other in episode 7. In this timeline of events, it's the second episode. Is this my doing? Am I changing the story? Is this bad? Now I really can't join the Flower Singing class if I'm affecting everything. I was lost in thought that I jumped when Yume called for me.
"U-Um, Nanase-san!" Yume called out.
"Eh? Ah, yeah? What's up?" I asked, clearly waking up from my thoughts.
"Is it okay if I call you by your first name? You can use my first name as well." Yume asked with a blushing face. "You already did and it made me happy, so… what do you say?"
"I used it…?" I tried to remember and gasped. It was before our debut! "I see." I looked at Yume's pleading eyes and giggled. "Yume, let's be friends."
Yume's eyes sparkled and she jumped for joy. "Yes! Hibiki-chan!"
"Me too, please." Koharu spoke up from behind Rola. "Can I, Hi-Hibiki-chan?"
"Yeah, Koharu." I reassured her and the two childhood friends jumped for joy together. I looked out the window and smiled. "I wonder what tomorrow brings. I can't wait."
"Yeah, I found my rival. Right, Yume?" Rola smiled at the blonde.
"Of course! I won't lose!" Yume smiled.
"I will be S4's next Theater Idol, so watch me take the lead." Ako smirked.
"I'll be cheering for you all!" Koharu smiled.
I only took a cup of juice and smiled at the group. I'm surrounded by the main group of Aikatsu Stars. This is a big deal. I can't wait. What's next in this world that I'm changing? "I'll find a new me in this new world," I spoke up with these last words. "My Aikatsu is starting and I can't wait to see it plan out."
"Is what I said…" I walked down the path. It was late and everyone was in bed. I snuck out to collect my thoughts. The cool night air was relaxing to me.
Pulling out my phone, I looked at the YT Music app where I found Clear. Seeing so many potential songs that these idols could use. Honestly, I was so happy when I saw those girls using that song to dance to. Their dance was ten times better than mine. Honestly, all I did was spin around with a mic in my hand.
"Ugh…" I sat on a bench and looked at the phone, clicking and listening to a random song. "Huh? Idol? Yoasobi?" I listened to that song and was honestly shocked to hear its lyrics. "All you say is a bunch of lies, Dear miss genius idol, unmatched. Hmm… A lying idol, huh?"
Then it hit me. "That's right… I'm lying to everyone already." I got up and looked at the sky. "I'm not Hibki that wishes to be an idol. I didn't write Clear. I'm not from this world. That's why I… I'm a lair."
I looked at the phone again and smiled. "What should I do? I'm not even serious about being an idol. Also, if I change anything, will it still be okay?" Looking at the moon, I nodded my head. "I mean, I made Ako close to Yume and the others quicker. That eventually happens so it's not a bad thing. However, I shouldn't join the Singing class. Laura and Yume are finally rivals and I don't want to compete with them."
"Hey!" I jumped when I heard a voice. I turned and saw Tsubasa with a flashlight. "What are you doing out so late? Everyone is already asleep."
I forgot that I snuck out. Letting myself relax, I stood up and bowed. "I'm sorry Senpai! I had trouble sleeping. I mean, class selections are coming up and I have no idea which class to join."
Tsubasa blinked at my actions and let out a sigh. "Sit down." I did as I was told, wondering what she was going to say. "Listen, you just have to try your best and join a class you feel passionate about. Don't let others control your actions. Just be yourself."
"But…" I looked away. "I'm not so passionate about being an idol like the others?" I looked at her, nervous. "I'm not sure if I deserve to be here at Four Star."
To my surprise, she patted my head. "You were amazing when you visited us the other day. Sensei even asked me to scout for you. I can even help you train your body. Everyone here has the same goal of becoming the best idol they can be. It doesn't matter if you're the most passionate or unmotivated. As long as you take that first step and learn as much as you can, I'm sure you can find a path that suits you. If that's as an idol, that's great. If it's not as an idol, that's fine as well. Just take your time and find your own dream."
A tear fell down my eyes making me look down. "Senpai, you're right. I should do things my own way." I looked at my phone again and then looked at her. "Then… I want to try to become the perfect idol. Can Senpai watch over me?"
Tsubasa nodded. "Just remember, you are perfect just the way you are. I can't wait to see your next step. But for now," She stood up and turned around to point at me, "it's punishment time! You are to clean the dorm hallways for a week for sneaking out!"
"... EH?!"
"Please keep the rules in mind. Now let's go back."
"Y-Yes, ma'am…"
"Before you clean, I'll watch your training so cheer up."
"Really? Thank you so much!"
