The night befoe Lone Star began it's fall, another time was investigating another strange happening in the town of O'Fallon Illionis. The sun was setting and 3 figures were sneaking through an abandoned factory, using the darkness as their only cover. Each of them moving slowly, making sure their footsteps didn't echo through the empty building. They were in search of a susipicous group lurking in this very place. Apparently they were a group of werewolves. Normally that wouldn't be a problem in itself, what got their client concerned were their movements. Seemingly attacking neighborhoods at random. The client wanted to know what was going on, so not only did she hire 3 mercs for the job. She also brought two of them from an entirely different world. How she did it was way above their heads, not understanding a single word when she tried to explain it.

After minutes of just wandering through near blackness, they could see a light at the end of the hall. Carefully sticking to the walls, making sure each of them was unseen. Stalking through the door. Taking cover to avoid the light, but taking a peek over the dusty machinery they could see who they were looking for. A rather big group of men and women who wouldn't look out of place at a biker convention.

"Watoto ninja!" The short shadow whispered just a little too loud.

"Quiet you strange little man...!" One of the taller female shadow hushs him, "They might hear you...!"

The other woman just let the two becker, keeping an eye on the group. They didn't seem to notice them. From where they stood it was difficult to hear what any of them was saying. She did spot one man walking down a fleet of stairs, following the staircase she spotted some kind of office just above them. "There might be something in that office..." She spoke very softly, making sure only her comrades could hear her, "Let's use our grappling hooks...can you carry him?" Before waiting for an answer, she zips up to the catwalk above.

"...Mind your hands..." The long haired stalker warned before scooping up the smaller man and shooting both of them upwards. Sadly, their tools caused a loud enough noise to alert the group crowded around a fiery oil drum.

"What was that?" One of the women asked, already on guard.

"Probably just rats...but let's check it out just in case." The skinner man calmly walked toward the hallway they had just came from. A few other members falling suit.

"Let's check the perimeter. Let's make doubly sure there's no intruders." The burly man spoke, ordering the rest of the group where to check. Thankfully the only conventional way to the office was a stairway to it. So none of the wolves even thought about to check the catwalks. Still, it was better to hurry.

All three of the intruders were moving quickly but carefully, making sure not to make too much noise to draw back the beasts. With the room quickly emptying out, now was the best chance they will ever get.

Once they arrived at the office. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, closing and locking the door behind them. Then turning on the light. Revealing the sneaking shadows in their true form.

"Let's worry and get what we need and get out of her." The dark haired woman spoke. Her hair flowing down her back, her eyes were of two different colors. One being a cobalt blue and the other being pure black. Her black eye changing color to match her right eye in mere seconds. She wore a grayish skin tight body suit with light armor guarding her upper body, arms and legs.

"Look around, they have to keep something in here." The blonde haired woman spoke, she wore the same type of bodysuit as her partner. Her eyes were blue as well and she stood slightly taller than the other. Immediately she began digging through the many drawers in the room. All the furniture looked new, not as dirty or run down as everything else in this factory. The file cabinets didn't even have any rust to them.

The only man in the group was a shorter male with messy blonde hair, piercing red eyes and a mushtache. He didn't wear a stealth suit, instead wore a dirty trench coat as well as a tin foil hat. He looked the most out of place when compared to the other two. "Watoto check safe!" Watoto began yanking on the safe handle.

"You have to give it to these animals. They know how to clean up the place when they want to." The dark haired woman spoke, "Find anything yet Alice?"

"I found some important looking documents...but nothing we came here for. Nothing that tells us what this crew is doing." Alice was skimming through every piece of paper she found. Making sure to put it back neatly where she found it.

While both of them were looking through the unoraginzed papers, there was a loud snap inside the room. The safe was open. Watoto didn't crack the code, he simply took the door off it's hinges.

"How'd you do that?" Yumi questioned Watoto, inspecting the safe to see if it was rusted or something.

"Heh heh heh." Watoto just chuckled in response.

Yumi dug through the safe to find a few items. A file, a stack of money and what looked like a gun but the barrel had a needle at the end of it. Taking the papers from the file, she spread them out on the rusted control panel for everyone to see. Alice peering over the contents.

"Looks like they have something planned for Texas." Alice pointed to a red circle around southern Texas. From Texas there was a line that goes to Louisiana, then Mississippi, then Georgia and finally Florida. A red circle present in all those states as well. "It all starts at Lone Star City..."

"Looks like they're going to release some kind of bioweapon...something called DL-26." Yumi read over the specs of DL-26 in silence before setting it down and pulling out her camera. "Let's just take the shot and get out of here."

With the photos taken, they have everything they needed. Now it was time for their grand escape. Putting everything back where it was originally. It was like they were never there...well, beside the safe being torn open. Either way, they had to hurry before the wolves found out they snuck into their den. Thankfully, the catwalk was devoid of a single soul. Quickly but carefully moving from room to room, avoiding patrols. Through skillful stealth all three of them made it out of the building and back to their escape vehicle.

"Ugh, finally." Yumi threw all of her supplies in the backseat, leaving the door open for Watoto to climb in. "Let's hurry up and turn these pics in and turn in for the night?" Yumi shut the door and climbed into the driver's seat. Alice was making sure there was no one following them, it looked like they were in the clear so far.

"Watoto hungry!"

"Alright...we'll stop by Micky Dees on the way." Yumi started the engine, ready to put distance between them and this factory. "Climb that sexy ass inside already baby." Alice simply chuckled in response. Her hand gripped the door handle. Before she could turn it however, a sudden sound broke the silent night. The sound of someone clapping...the sound was coming from right behind the car.

"Good show Alice Rieper. Truly a silent assassin. My boys were completely oblivious by your presence!" The clapping man stood confidently behind the car. He wore a long redish brown trench coat. With a hat that seemed to cover his eyes. He wore a vest and dress pants that matched the color of his coat. He looked well dressed than his biker gang. The mystery man didn't even look like he belonged in a biker gang, the way he looked and acted made him seem more suited to be in a mob. "Though...I guess I'm something of a silent assassin myself. I was with you every step of the way and you did not notice!"

"You know of me..." This wasn't a question made by Alice but more stating a fact.

"Hmmm?" The man was acting coy, "Of course I do. I've heard so much about you. Even your friends too. Although, I'm a little surprised to see Watoto with you. The former servant of the Wyrm...you know, the werewolves are not a fun of him. You may be a former slave but you still served him nonetheless."

Yumi looked at the stranger through the rearview mirror, he didn't seem to be too concern with her. Slowly moving herself back to grab the gun she threw in the backseat. Watoto peered through the back window. Curious of the man who spoke his name.

"What do you want?" Alice asked but it was obvious what was going to happen.

"Nothing much. I just want you to give back what you stole...and come with me." The man spoke with such confidence like he had a plan thought out. Like Alice and her crew were in a lose lose situation. "Return what you stole...and New Dawn will be merciful toward you."

Alice didn't entertain him with an answer. Simply moved to enter the passenger side. Before she could sit down however, motor cycles drove up behind them. There were about 4 of them, 2 people on each. "I would give it serious thought if I were you. I am being reasonable, you don't want to deal with my boys."

"I'll take my chances." Before Alice threw herself into the car, she threw a small throwing knife at the man, embedding it into his shoulder before Yumi sped off. The stranger was entirely unfazed, just stood there and smiled. Without a word, his goons drove off to give chase. Shouting and howling as they easily caught up.

Yumi drove onto the road, her foot pressing the on the gas as far as it can go. Too no avil sadly, the wolf gang easily caught up to the three of them in no time flat. Five motorcycles quickly coming from behind them and then to both sides of the car. It was obvious they could not outrun this gang. The only means to escape was to fight back...

"I hope you have a plan to shake these guys...don't forget these guys are werewolves..." Yumi gripped the wheel as tight as she could, clearly stressed out having monsters of urban legends surrounding her.

"The best plan..." Alice took out a gun from the glovebox as well as drawing her hunting knife, "Improvise!" The blonde spoke with a confident smile, rolling down her window and shooting the motorist at the right. The driver didn't die however the silver round seemed to cause to some damage. Causing him to lose control and wipe out. However, that didn't stop his passenger. His expression morphed to that of pure fury. In a fit of rage, the man leapt off the motorcycle and began running on all fours. Slowly his body began to transform, grower bigger, furrier...more terrorfying. His hands now claws, tearing through the road as if it was nothing. The beast came up to the side of the car again. Easily catching up to them even though they were driving at around 80 mph.

"Maybe you can go a little faster..." Alice wasn't so confident seeing this monster catch up to the car so easily.

"I'm trying!" Yumi shouted, Watoto however was digging through his backpack. Pulling out various mushrooms. As well as a couple of flasks and set them on his lap. Working on something. "Wha...what are you doing?"

"Watoto help." Was the only answer they got as he was focused on grinding a red polka dotted mushroom into a small container.

"Oh...we are so fucked..." Yumi was not filled with determination...

Their other persuers were shifting into their monsterous forms while promptly abandoning their bikes. Leaving them scraping across the pavement like an discarded toy. Though the werewolves didn't need any motorbikes. Their lycan forms were more than enough to keep up with all of them with ease. Yumi slammed her foot down as hard as she could but the cheap old car would not go any faster. The creature to her right swiped at her, Yumi only barely able to swerve out of the way of the claw. Leaving four large cuts in the body of the car. Better than having the entire door cut to pieces.

"Alice! Do something please!" They were surronded by werewolves on both sides and three behind them. The two on their sides kept attacking the sides of the car. Yumi expertly evaded the attacks for the most part, but the wolves managed to graze the body. The doors were dented, cut and will soon to be ribbons if they cant shake off the attackers. The ones from behind didn't do anything. Alice noticed this, looking back at the three with narrow eyes. Curious what their plan was exactly. But this did spur the blonde into action.

"I'll be back." Alice opened the door, leaving herself exposed to the wolf running right next to her.

"What are you doing!?" Yumi panicked seeing the full body of the beast on the passenger side.

"Watoto! That...mushroom thing you're working on ready yet?" Alice grabbed her weapon tightly, while reaching her hand back.

"Only one." Watoto handed her a vial with what looked like pink sand. Alice took a second glance when she grabbed the vial. The contents inside was something she wasn't expecting. But there was no point in commenting on it now.

With knife in hand and vial of hopefully poison in another, Alice used a grappling hook to attach to the monster and zip over to it. Stabbing the knife into it's shoulder. That was enough to make it slow down. The silver in the blade was enough to weaken it at least. But Alice had to be quick, jumping off and shooting over to the werewolf on the other side of the car, right before the weakened wolf eventually stumbled away. Without wasting a second, Alice brought the knife down on the next target. Then zipping away. The 2nd wolf slowed to a stop. That leaves the three in the back. Instead of continuing to stab the other wolves, Alice instead set herself on top of the car. Seeing their pray out in the open, the wolves snarled and sped up. At this moment, Alice took a chance. Opening the vial and emptying the sandy contents out. Making sure the cloud hit all of the wolves in the face. At first nothing happened, but as the seconds passed...the werewolves stumbling and running in a zigzag pattern before the eventually fell onto their backs.

Yumi gave a sigh of relief, slowing down the car and stopping for her partner to climb back in. The passenger door just fell onto the ground as soon as Yumi slowed to a stop. Alice climbed back in the car.

"Nice work Watoto." Alice smiled and nobbed to the man...boy...person.

"Hehe! Wolfy see pretty colors."

"I can't believe that worked..." Yumi held her chest, trying to calm her nerves after the chase. "Let's worry and meet the client...I want to put this behind me." As soon as Alice was in, Yumi sped off again. Making sure they weren't being followed before heading to the location their client had specified. Thankfully it wasn't too far away.

After about 40 minutes, the three of them had finally arrived. An apartment complex in a decently sized town. The apartments were far from the town itself, set right beside a highway and on the other side of the road was a super market. Quite a peaceful night, even the sound of speeding cars driving by was soothing after such an exciting encounter with monsters of the night. Their car was barely holding together as they parked outside of the apartment...then the car in question just fell apart. The doors and 2 wheels just fall on the ground, the engine let out a loud pop and smoke was coming from the hood.

"That will do old girl..." Yumi patted the now broken down car as she stepped out.

"Hmm...fix car...I will. Hmm! Hmm!" Watoto nodded while he climbed out of the backseat window. The door was mostly fine, but Watoto just wanted to climb out from the window for some reason.

Alice got out as well, grabbing her weapons from the glove box. They will need to find a new ride anyway. The sight of this badly damaged car will probably turn some heads in the morning but that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

There was no point in lingering anymore. It was time for the three to meet their employer. Stepping inside apartment 33, the inside was furnished though it wasn't decorated. The living room had a chair, sofa and loveseat all facing toward a tv. On the sofa was a woman who wore a pair of shades. Laying back in her seat comfortably. Leags crossed and a smile spreading on her face as she saw everyone walk in.

"Ah! Welcome home. I arranged for this to be your home away from home if you will." The woman then leaned forward, "But you will have time to settle in after our meeting...now, show me what you got."

Alice took out the photos she took and handed them over. "Looks like they're planning something in Texas..." Alice and the mystery woman go over the details and go over what happened on their way out. All the while Yumi threw off her shoes and took a seat in the chair. Watoto however was exploring the apartment. Looking in every room present.

"Hmm...maybe they're planning to transfer something to Flordia. Maybe this DL-26 thing..."

"It looked like it was made to alter the human body. The files went into detail how it changes people. Some people just became violent, feral, even tried to eat the scientists that were running tests on them. While others changed physically but retained their sanity. There are also rare occurences of test subjects becoming violent and change into something that 'cant be considered human'. Any idea what that could be?"

"Hard to tell when I can't see it for myself. Could be a number of things."

"Do you know what this New Dawn group is?" Alice asked, standing in front of the woman in shades.

"Might just be a cabal of werewolves. Might not be something to worry about but let's not rule them out yet. At least not until we get more information." Mystery lady pocketed the photos and looked out the window. "Looks like we need to get you a new set of wheels. I'll get the kiddo on it tomorrow. I also need to make a plan for your next move."

"By the way...how exactly are you going to pay us? Is the currency the same here like it is back home?" Yumi asked while reclining her chair.

"The wizard that brought you here assured that our worlds were almost identical. Though I guess it's a bit of a surprise for you to see there were no heroes here. Just you know...wizards, vampires, werewolves, spirits...pretty much anything you hear in a ghost story exists here. But I was confident in your abilities when I summoned you here. After all, Alice is highly skilled for someone with no magic or power under her belt. Just pure skill!" She spoke highly of Alice as she spoke, "Besides, you'll have me to supply you. You two wouldn't last long against our beasties...at least not with proper equipment."

"What about Watoto?" Alice asked and as she spoke his name, his head popped out from around the corner.

"I've worked with Watoto before. Though he was part of a different group. Besides, I think his unique set of skills will come in handy if you guys get in a bind."

The woman stood up from the sofa, "Anyway, I am Madam M. Sorry I didn't introduce myself sooner but we were...kind of in a hurry. I will provide you with jobs, weapons, tools and whatever else you need. Like this 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. Use it however you want...just don't wreck the place." M set a stack of money on the coffee table before moving toward the door. "Use that however you want. I will be in touch with your next job...possibly in the morning or a few days from now...not sure yet. Anyway, night Alice...Yumi. Watoto try not to make a mess!" M quickly exited and a few seconds later a sound of a vehicle speeding away.

With M gone...that left the three alone in the apartment. Seeing as how they were going to live there for who knows how long, each took a moment to check out their new temporary home. The downstairs was rather simple. A living room as soon as you enter and the kitchen/dinning room was just a few steps away with a bathroom in between. Upstairs was another bathroom and two bedrooms. Watoto takes to one of the rooms right away, throwing himself onto the bed. Leaving both women sharing the other bedroom. Both rooms were quite barren with only beds and small desks at both ends of the beds.

After some time of settling in, Yumi walked back downstairs to just watch some TV. Alice followed suit after changing out of her stealth suit. "I think Watoto is asleep...he got quiet all of a sudden."

"The goblin boy needs his sleep." Yumi just shrugged, "What a crazy world though. Werewolves and vampires...do you think other monsters exist here too? Like...giant kaiju city destroying monsters?"

"Maybe? If they do...I just hope we're not hired to kill one. I'm an assassin not a monster hunter." Alice laughed before sitting on the sofa. "I'm surprised you took this job so easily. Thought you're only interest was me?"

"Shut up..." Yumi waved off Alice's teasing, "I wasn't going to let you fight unknown horrors by yourself."

The two talked some time while somewhat watching whatever was on TV before retiring for the night. Both Alice and Yumi were confident in their abilities. They were ready to tackle whatever they needed to face in this new world. Battling against these new type of foes was both exciting but also worrying. How can they fight against a type of enemy they know next to nothing about? Doubt crept into the back of their minds as they try to push past their pessimism.
