Nobita sees how the vampire he had found, protected and gotten along with had extended her hand towards him because she wanted to dance with him first. Shizuka is startled as are Gian and Suneo, and Doraemon smiles with an "I thought so" while taking a dorayaki from the snack table and eating it calmly.
In fact Shizuka had the same idea, the night had motivated her to want to spend time with her friend, since it had been more than a month and a half since Selene arrived, although she understood the matter and agreed with it because she was also her friend, seeing how Nobita spent most of the time with her still made a feeling in her chest. Even when Shizuka asked him if she could go to his house sometimes, the boy apologized because he already had plans with the vampire.
Sure, Shizuka liked spending time with Dekisugi, he helped her with her homework, they had similar tastes in certain aspects and he was the perfect model of an elementary school student that she admired.
But she missed Nobita, since she also liked spending time with him, he wasn't the model student admired by everyone in the class, but he was a good boy with many setbacks after all, who if he wanted, could strive to improve, he was already showing it the last few days. She liked things about Nobita like for example his kind side that he has shown by helping people like Selene or when he tried her desserts and made happy faces when tasting them.
She knew that he would have his time available again after Selene went back to her world, but she felt that she could no longer ignore the feeling she had regarding that subject. Melancholy? Nostalgia? Who knows, she wanted to take advantage of it to at least dance together, and yes, the boy didn't know how to dance well but it would have been an opportunity to share something.
But she knew that Selene was fond of Nobita because of the fact that he was the first friend she made on Earth and how he had found and protected her. She also knew about him how the platinum girl had lost a friend before and that maybe that was why she had recommended the topic of (escaping from the routine) to him, advice for which Shizuka thanks her. With all that, she decided to give her that opportunity because of that friendship they both made.
They would have more time later anyway.
The silly boy smiles at the platinum-haired girl and takes her hand. "Of course Selene! No problem. Although, I'm terrible at dancing." Nobita laughs embarrassedly and Selene giggles at her friend's reaction.
"It's okay, I can guide you, all I want now is to have fun with my friend." The vampiress takes out her black bat wings while the clumsy boy puts the takecopter on his head and both begin to fly upwards to be together in the starry sky a few meters above the lake.
"Owww, and I wanted to be the first to dance with Selene!" Suneo lowers his head feeling defeated and Gian just lets out a frustrated sigh, but he goes to the table to eat another piece of cake anyway.
"Dancing in the sky is nothing more than knowing how to move and fly. Are you ready?" Nobita nods at Selene's question and thanks to her guidance, they began to move to the rhythm of the slow music, dancing as if they had a floor under their feet, but floating in the starry sky. Selene looked cute and dazzling as she guided her friend, who already seemed to be catching on to the style of dancing in the sky.
They both laughed, spinning around, moving from one side to the other while the fireflies accompanied them, Suneo watched the show somewhat jealously while Shizuka didn't watch how they danced but how they both smiled at each other, which made her sigh closing her eyes with a smile. "Okay, it's okay, I'll ask him after they finish" was what she thought at that moment.
Doraemon looks at the time as he takes out a large watch from his pocket "It's almost midnight, but the moment is nice" The robot cat smiles as he puts the watch away.
("Thank you for this. I'm really going to miss you a lot.") Selene looks at her friend with a sad smile, in 10 days they would have to say goodbye, it was time for a mental talk while they continued dancing.
("Me too, you've helped me progress in school. It feels good when adults stop scolding you or when everyone is surprised that you're early. I'm not good at sports yet, but I think I could improve too... I don't promise anything about that last one, I'm very clumsy.") Nobita laughs nervously
Selene laughs as well ("I didn't do that, you decided to do it on your own, I just helped you get up early the first few days. I have to thank you and the friends I made in this world for giving me the best months of my life, I feel so free. The day of the School Festival was nice, even though I was in front, you thanked me for that. And that's even though I'm not that good of a leader and technically I was raised for years to be a perfect leader.")
("But you don't need to be perfect to the extreme like the vampire council asks you to be, Selene. We thanked you very much that day because you motivated us to give it our all despite the results, you did well, you made us all happy. And the times when the vampires attacked Shizuka and Jaiko, you knew what to do, you took care of them, you healed them. And that's the important thing, right? That everyone is happy and well, we knew that with you we could do anything that day. Seriously, thank you for these days.")
The boy smiles at his friend at the end of the dance, the vampire was captivated by those words, she thought she wasn't going to be a good leader, but she had fit in very well in a different environment and led that group as her friends, because they trusted her.
Trust, it was the most important thing for a leader, more than perfection in the form of pressure. The council always told her that if she wasn't perfect she couldn't be a good leader, which made her scared and think negatively of herself, which led her to make the decision to go to Earth to free herself from that responsibility that she thought she couldn't face. Also, protecting other humans thinking about how to handle things was typical of someone who cares even about other species.
In part, getting to know life on Earth was a correct decision. She was able to clear her head and realized that she was capable like her father, so now she doubted whether to continue with the plan in the sense of the low self-esteem she had of herself, but her desire to spend time with her family made her continue with the days she had left.
What the vampire needed was a break, to refresh her head and to meet a good friend.
"Well, now it's my turn" Suneo says enthusiastically. "I won't be the first, but I'm not going to waste this." Shizuka smiles because she thought it was her turn to dance with Nobita, but...
The sounds of a pair of hands clapping slowly began to invade the place
The music stopped, the fireflies began to flee and everyone including those who were flying over the lake were looking for the origin of those applause, finding the forest near the cabin, those sounds came from inside "But what an adorable dance I just witnessed" A woman's voice also appears along with the applause, the leaves of the trees and bushes began to move while a female voice begins to come out of there.
"Although... That human was somewhat clumsy with his movements when flying, so I would give him a... 6/10"
The earthlings are confused to see a beautiful woman with a large gothic dress and a mask with long straight red hair, whose lips painted the same color smiled as she came out of her hiding place, she showed a pair of fangs. But Selene begins to turn paler than she normally was, taking Nobita's hand as a reflex of the nerves that invaded her body.
"Selene? What's wrong? Do you know her?" Nobita asks, looking at his nervous vampire friend.
"She... She's the leader of Scarlet Moon; Lady Belladonna!" The princess of the night shouts that at the top of her lungs, to which everyone exclaims a "WHAT?!" in unison and begins to tremble as well. Nobita stands in front of Selene, although he didn't stop trembling like his friends.
Yes, it was Lady Belladonna herself, now on Earth, the same one who had sent her minions to try to eliminate the little vampire. Selene knows her because she had seen her a couple of times when she tried to hurt her, even in her own home. "Happy birthday, Princess Selene. I came here just to wish you a happy birthday in person. I used my dimensional door because it's a special occasion, so my gift to you is my presence."
"G-Get back!" Doraemon gives air cannons to Gian and Suneo and takes one out for himself, gives a repellent cape to Shizuka, while throwing a ray gun to Nobita who flying catches it and quickly returns to Selene. "We won't let you hurt Selene!" Gian shouts while pointing the cannon towards the villainess.
"Are you going to use your toys against me? Awww, how adorable and STUPID are the earthling humans, it will be wonderful when I get the power of Amarant along with its magentun, your planet will be the first to be enslaved by Scarlet Moon and all of you will be our blood banks until the day of your deaths" The adult vampire says that with an elegant yet intimidating female voice that makes the humans tremble in fear.
"I DON'T WANT TO BE A BLOOD BANK FOR VAMPIRES, MOMMYYYY!" Suneo shouts trembling in fear.
Lady Belladonna approaches those who were in the cabin, Doraemon stands in front of the kids and shoots an air blast with the cannon, the adult vampire laughs while with her hands she sends the air blast to the side as if it were a ball.
"It doesn't work?!" Doraemon says upset but he shoots again along with Gian and Suneo, but no matter how many air blasts they threw, the villain sent them away or dodged them.
"Did you use those toys with my henchmen? I must say that I feel ashamed that they lost with things like this" When Lady Belladonna was close to the group, Doraemon decides to take out the pencil cross that Nobita gave him a while ago, the villain steps back a little.
When the guys are glad that at least the anti-vampire methods were slowing her down a bit, Lady Belladonna throws a smoke bomb at their feet to cloud their vision with the smoke, fearing that it was another vervain bomb like a while ago, Nobita moves back a little in the sky with Selene so that she doesn't breathe the smoke, but it was just a common smoke bomb.
"I don't see anything, I'm starting to get angry!" says Gian until he hears Doraemon's scream, when the smoke cleared, the blue cat was unconscious on the ground with Lady Belladonna behind him.
"Doraemon!" Nobita shouts from afar when he sees him on the ground
The villainess just kept laughing proudly "A precise blow is enough to even knock out a robot. Maybe that pair of brutes I sent weren't able to face a group of human children, but that's because they were second-class vampires" In the same way and with the characteristic speed of a vampire, Lady Belladonna hits the other three in the back of the neck, knocking them out on the ground "I, on the other hand, am a first-class vampire"
"Guys!" Seeing his friends on the ground, the boy uses the ray gun to neutralize the villainess, not even she could overcome his fast and precise shots, but being a first-class vampire, she could hit the rays like nothing to defend herself, not all of them but most of them.
Lady Belladonna just smiles and quickly flies in front of them, Selene was frozen, she had already had her run-ins with her when she was younger which is why she was a little afraid of her unlike the two vampires who tried to eliminate her. And being an adult, she had more advantage over the little vampire. Nobita seeing the girl's reaction, although he was scared to have her face to face, he wasn't going to let her get close to his friend.
"Not bad, Nobita, your style with firearms is remarkable. Your motivation to defend those you love and how you have been taking care of the Vasilescu heiress are worthy of admiration, I like loyalty. It shows why you have that vampiric link with the princess."
Nobita is confused by what he said "H-How do you know my name?!"
Taking advantage of the fact that the boy was distracted by the confusion, with her speed she catches Nobita to remove him from Selene's sight, moving him away from her, while holding the boy's arms behind his back with one of his hands immobilizing him and making him drop the weapon that falls into the lake. Selene finally reacts after fear overcame her looking at how her friend was in the hands of the villain.
"Nobita! Let him go, let my friend go, he has nothing to do with this!" The vampiress takes courage and tries to free the boy from Lady Belladonna's clutches, but being an older vampire, the woman moves away with the boy every time Selene tries to help him, passing by multiple times at high speed until they return to the same position. Since the clumsy boy wasn't used to that speed, he got a little dizzy and the irises of his eyes were spirals for a moment. "LET HIM GO!"
The boy tries to get out of the older vampire's clutches, but no matter how much he struggled and kicked, she wouldn't let him go. "Selene, run away or she'll hurt you!" The boy shouts with a worried look at his little vampire friend, but she wasn't going to leave him alone.
"Come on, come on, you don't have to worry this time, princess. I didn't come to kill you today, it's your birthday after all, so I'll leave you alone this time. But you know what?" The cruel adult vampire grabs the human boy's jaw while smiling "This whole cat and mouse game HAS MADE ME VERY HUNGRY"
The tone of voice in that last sentence was forceful and sinister, Selene gets scared and tries once again to try to save her friend. But it was too late, the woman sank her fangs quickly and hard into Nobita's neck, all who could do was scream loudly in pain.
