Hey everyone im back with another chapter im trying to work on having more than just 2 people have dialogue let me know how you think it went also i thought this was a funny chapter to write about let me know what you think

It was a month since hiccup and his friends had left berk and let's just say they were having the time of their lives they were able to stay with their dragons and have been investigating new types of dragons. Fish legs especially was happy about studying dragons he already started making an updated book of dragons with the help of hiccups artistic skills for the new portraits and let's just say he went a bit over board when he did toothless making his portrait an absolutely adorable picture of toothless sleeping. Toothless was very embarrassed how he looked so hiccup uses that to tease the poor dragon once in a while but he gets payback by aggressively licking the boy. " so the deadly nadder should be moved from sharp class to tracker there isn't anything that stormfly can't find when she has the scent to it" Astrid added as they concluded the notes they were taking for that day. They decided to stay on this island for the night so hiccup and Astrid were going to go and take a walk and relax, fish legs was going to go find some rocks for meatlug, the twins had took the liberty to catch up on some sleep, while snotlout was cleaning his mace, the dragons on the other hand were going out to fish for some dinner

While the group of friends were doing this they didn't realize what island they were on

On a different part of the island

Dagur the deranged was shadowing his father to understand more about being a chief but this instance wasn't any responsibility a beserker came and gave Oswald a letter from berk stoick had made a letter to him to notify the heir to berk was missing and was requesting any aid to find the lost heir. He wore brown tunic without sleeves but had green clothes wrapped around his right arm while the left was left open coupled with his usual brown pants and spiked armored skirt (I'm terrible with describing clothes so imagine his dob design but without the helmet). Oswald had read the letter twice to be sure he didn't leave anything out but dagur was concerned when he found out hiccup is missing. In the past before the war ended the heirs of the tribes had made a mutual agreement that they would ally together put passed any anger their parents had towards each other that way they could actually prosper, the heirs called it 'the pact of the heirs' during this time hiccup, dagur, camicazi of the bog burglars, and thuggory of the meatheads became good friends while they were still friendly with the other heirs these four grew really close when ever their parents came for the chieftain meetings for treaty signings some how getting along from each others different hobby's. They were basically calling each other brothers and sister by the time hiccup met toothless so hearing hiccup was missing made dagur want to hop on the closest ship to go find his brother but he knew it would not be a good idea when he has no leads his name may have been deranged but he wasn't stupid." Dagur how about you go and relax for the time being I've basically finished most of my tasks today" Oswald said as he pat his son on the shoulder. Dagur nodded and ran off to the forest, in his spare time he would either do target practice with his throwing knives or he would be sharpening his weapons (which he had a lot of them he probably would give Astrid competition for most amount of weapons). He found himself in his usual area to throw knives tho he wasn't looking throw knives he pulled out a leather book and flipped through some of the pages some of them were entries he wrote himself but he had also had quotes from hiccup cami and thuggory every time they saw each other and some were pictures that hiccup drew of the four of them throughout the years." Please be safe hiccup we're gonna find you brother" he said to mostly himself only to be heard by a certain auburn hair boy and blonde girl nearby.

it's been almost 2 hours since hiccup and Astrid left

The rest of the riders were still at the campsite they made as fish legs got back with a bunch of granite, snotlout was finishing cleaning his mace and the twins were just waking up. "hey Meatlug I got you nice granite" he said as his gronkle basically tackled him to the ground and started to lick his face. Snotlout started to get a bit of a smirk on his face " hey fish legs" said boy turned to give snotlout his attention" have you noticed how hiccup and Astrid has been getting really close the last year don't you think" fishlegs nodded" yes I have noticed snotlout we all have gotten close" snotlout slightly pinching his forehead in annoyance before he continues" what I'm getting at is those 2 have been way closer than any of us don't you think I think they have feelings that they don't know about" snotlout looked on with confidence but fishlegs was a little confused while they sat around a fire pit they made." So how would you be so sure they don't know" fishlegs asked him genuinely curious. snotlout groaned in annoyance thinking legs is very smart but he can be really dumb sometimes all the while hook fang and meatlug look on with amusement." Fishlegs look at how everything began hiccup didn't really get much attention when we were growing up he basically learned a lot of what he knows about life from gobber, and no offense to gobber but do you really think gobber is the best for life lessons such as feelings and 'the talk'. Now Astrid while she didn't go through the same thing as hiccup, she was solely focused on being a warrior and reclaiming her families honor so she didn't really have a lot of time to wonder about how she felt about things outside of combat, like would she want to actually have more than being a warrior or would she have other hobby's than throwing and sharpening her axe which we got to remember hiccup made for her. You see where I'm getting at" snotlout was pretty please about how he basically explained the whole problem with those 2 and emotions. This isn't making him feel any less bad about how he treated hiccup for years but he needed to get fishlegs to understand where he's coming from." I'm seeing where you're going now snotlout so what are you thinking with this" fishlegs asks this as the twins get up from their sleep and sits on a nearby log knowing what's happening." Where I'm going with this is I want to make a little wager I'm betting who will realize it first hiccup or Astrid I'm putting five silver on hiccup he might not understand emotions he does have a better handle than Astrid" snotlout states as he put the silver on a rock. Ruff but speaks the first time since they woke up" well if we're making bets I got three silver on Astrid it's just a woman's tuition she'll be the one to realize it first plus she's started to ask questions about this stuff since we all started really hanging out so my money is on Astrid" fishlegs speaks up next" you both make good points but I'm gonna have to put one gold piece on hiccup primarily because hiccup is the smartest of all of us so I think he'll be able to understand this stuff better" tuff puts his sense in as well" I'm gonna agree with ruff on this not because she's my sister but since her and Astrid are the only girls in our group they talk a lot about certain things and I unfortunately am normally in the area when they do so I got a front row seat to hear Astrid's recent curiosity seriously I wash I didn't hear half the things I've heard them talk about so I'm going one gold piece" tuff shivered a little bit while ruff punched him in the jaw while she blushed hearing that her brother heard a lot of the hyper personal girl talk she has with astrid. With the bets placed snotlout totals up the betting pool." So we got two gold and eight silver for the pool anyone want to add any extra rules to this" everyone nodded saying nothing more needs to be added, snotlout then puts the pool into a leather bag and labeled it secret and they put it in a specific part of meatlugs saddle since they trust fishlegs to not steal the winnings for himself more than anyone else. By this time the four started to plot how they were gonna win the bet but then mutually agreed to just let it play out but sprinkle some juiciness in along the way and snotlout had an idea to do something.

With hiccup and Astrid

They were just taking a mid day stroll with each other not thinking they would come across anything just time to relax with each other but they soon heard a voice hiccup knew too well from all the gatherings he had been on with his father so they snuck around and hiccup was able to confirm it was dagur the deranged but he noticed the book that he gave dagur a while back he cami and thuggory all have books similar but they had different stuff written in theirs. dagur kept his with memories of when the four of them would meet up whether it was for the chieftain meetings or it was one of them visiting the others island, that's when it hit him the group landed on berserker island. how did he not realize that but now knowing this maybe he could talk to dagur tell him the whole story. if he thinks anyone will be willing to listen it would a fellow heir and seeing the history he and dagur have that would improve his chances. With that in mind he got a nod of agreement from Astrid and both walked up to dagur much to his shock.

"Hiccup?" Dagur looks on thinking he's gonna even crazier." Is that really you?" Dagur questioned to just to be sure." Yeah dagur it's me" dagur pressed further" but stoick sent letters saying you were kidnapped" hiccup immediately frowned his dad said he was kidnapped he for a moment considered why would his father send those letters to the other tribes he then realizes the other tribes will have these including the bogs and meatheads he hopes his friends will be willing to listen like dagur." Well the news of my disappearance was greatly exaggerated" Astrid looked at him as if he grew a second head the time they were hanging out she has never heard hiccup talk like this. Dagur slowly forms a smirk before he starts to laugh." Yeah if I didn't believe you before I do now" he continues as hiccup starts to smirk" only you would use words like that hiccup it's great to know you're ok" dagur gave hiccup a bear hug." It's good to see you too dagur" hiccup managed to say through being strangled. Dagur soon let go and finally noticed Astrid" ah and who is this girl, she your girlfriend oh my dear brother is a ladies man whens your wedding" dagur teased them both as hiccup went as red as a tomato and Astrid not far behind." Hold up dagur, me and Astrid are friends nothing is going on with us" hiccup tried to defend himself but dagur just loved to tease his little brother." Keep telling yourself that hiccup but be careful the next time you see camicazi she might get jealous" he chuckled as hiccup kept getting redder and redder and Astrid looked as if she was a little jealous." Alright enough of me embarrassing you please tell me everything why did your dad say you were kidnapped and why are you off of berk" dagur questioned as hiccup and Astrid lost the huge amount of red on their faces." Well where do I start" hiccup tried to start but Astrid beat him to it" how about the raid before we were put into dragon training" Astrid suggested with hiccup agreed as all 3 sat down for the long talk.

and there you go if you haven't noticed i am a hiccstrid shipper but i dont like how most fanfiction writers just rush right into them dating im trying to make it a build up with the story telling, also i want to avoid astrid nearly dieing every other chapter ( no offence to rtte i love the show but got damn they were just gunning for astrid). i also hope you enjoyed how i did snotlout being a love expert well im off to write the next chapter thanks for reading.
