A mellow light filtered through the room, the transparent curtains barely hindering it. Shangxiang had insisted on these curtains, and although Brian initially questioned why she wouldn't prefer light-blocking ones, he quickly understood after a few mornings.

The soft sunlight was a gentler wake-up call than the harsh alarm. The light touched his face delicately, letting his eyes adjust without strain.

As his senses awoke, Brian became aware of his surroundings. The stone walls were adorned with various decorations, the king-sized bed that comfortably held its occupants, and the presence of his wife, Shangxiang, who lay on his chest.

Shangxiang's long, brown hair cascaded over her delicate features, catching the morning light in a way that made it shimmer. Her peaceful expression took his breath away. The gentle rise and fall of her breathing was a soothing melody, a reminder of their deep bond.

The room, decorated with the elegance befitting a lord of the Han Dynasty, felt like a sanctuary. Gifts from his birthday added a personal touch to the grandeur. On the wall hung a silk tapestry from the lord of Long You, depicting an exquisite scene of nature. The scent of jasmine, a gift from the lord of Bao Han, mingled with the crisp morning breeze from the garden outside, creating a fragrant symphony that was both calming and invigorating.

On a lacquered table by the window stood an intricately carved jade figurine from the mayor of Di Dao, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune. Everything in the room was arranged with meticulous care, a harmonious blend of luxury and personal touches.

Brian lay still, appreciating the serenity of the morning. The world outside might be bustling with activity and responsibilities, but for now, all that mattered was this peaceful moment. He gently tightened his arm around Shangxiang, feeling her warmth and marveling at the simple joy of their shared tranquility.

As the sun continued its ascent, the glow grew brighter, filling the room with radiant light that seemed to bless their union. Brian closed his eyes again, savoring the perfect harmony of the morning and the presence of the woman he loved more than anything. At this moment, with the beautiful morning sun, the rhythmic breathing of his wife, and the thoughtful gifts surrounding them, everything felt right in the world.

Brian lingered in the gentle embrace of the morning light a little longer, cherishing the tranquility. But soon, the responsibilities of the day began to call. Reluctantly, he shifted slightly, careful not to wake Shangxiang. He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead before slipping out of bed, the cool floor beneath his feet a stark contrast to the warmth of the bed.

He moved quietly across the room, his eyes catching the various tokens of affection and friendship that adorned the space. Each item was a reminder of the connections and responsibilities that defined his role. Brian decided to check on his other concubines before preparing for the day ahead.

Exiting the bedroom, he made his way down the corridor to the adjacent rooms. The first door he opened revealed a serene scene: Cai Wenji, seated by the window, gracefully playing her harp. The delicate notes filled the room with a soothing melody, blending with the morning light that filtered through the lattice. She looked up and smiled warmly at Brian.

"Good morning, my lord," Cai Wenji greeted softly, her fingers still gently plucking the strings.

"Good morning, Wenji," Brian replied, enjoying the brief moment of tranquility her music provided. "Your playing is as beautiful as ever."

She blushed slightly, bowing her head in modesty. "Thank you, my lord."

Brian continued to the next room, where he found Lianshi and Xing Cai enjoying breakfast set up by the diligent servants. The table was laden with an array of delicious dishes, from steamed buns to fresh fruits. They looked up as he entered, their faces lighting up with smiles.

"Good morning, my lord," Lianshi said, rising to greet him.

"Good morning," Xing Cai echoed, her eyes bright with happiness.

"Good morning to you both," Brian responded, a smile on his face. "I see you're already enjoying breakfast. I'll wait for Shangxiang to wake up, and then we'll join you."

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, Brian left them to their meal and returned to his own room. As he entered, he saw Shangxiang already standing by the window, wrapped in the blanket of their bed. She stared out at the rising sun, a pensive expression on her face. Brian approached quietly and stood behind her, placing his hands gently on her shoulders. She leaned back into him, feeling his presence.

"Are you nervous?" he asked softly.

"I am. We will talk about how we will fight my father, brother, and several of my former allies. Wouldn't it be natural to feel nervous?" she replied.

"It would," Brian responded as he kissed her head. "That's the reason we have this council. To make certain we can finish those battles as quickly as possible." Brian smiled as he added, "Besides, I have to kick some sense into my brother and father-in-law for causing a problematic future for my future children."

"You first have to get me pregnant," Shangxiang teased, turning in his arms to face him, a mischievous glint in her eyes. The blanket did little to hide her figure from him.

"Well, I certainly am trying." He chuckled as he pulled her into a kiss. He stopped the kiss, to the disappointment of his wife, and added, "But we got to get ready or we'll miss the council."

"Okay then," Shangxiang agreed as she grabbed a bell from the nightstand and rang it. Four servants entered, bowing politely and awaiting a command. Shangxiang shifted her gaze on them. "Lord Brian and I will join the others for breakfast first. Then please help us get dressed for the important meeting."

"Yes, milady!" The four servants replied before they scattered, moving as a well-oiled machine. Brian and Shangxiang dressed in simple robes and made their way to the dining area where Lianshi and Xing Cai were already seated. Cai Wenji joined them shortly after, bringing her harp to play softly as they ate.

The breakfast was a pleasant, communal affair, filled with light conversation and laughter. It was a moment of camaraderie before the intensity of the day's council.

After breakfast, the servants bowed politely at their lord and began helping everyone dress for the council. Brian's hanfu was carefully removed, and the finely woven silk tunic was slipped over his shoulders. The rich emerald green fabric fit perfectly, with one of the maidens adjusting the gold embroidery of the Emperor's insignia.

Next, one of his servants brought his polished chest plate, which was his +19 defense skill. It looked magnificent and sturdy, despite not being enormous. The servants carefully secured it, making sure it was both comfortable and impressive.

As the servants continued to work on his belt, Brian shifted his gaze to Shangxiang, Lianshi, Cai Wenji, and Xing Cai. They knew he was not like a lord whose servants needed help to dress him. However, knowing Delan's lessons about the position and hierarchy of noble houses, Brian let it slide once in a while. It helped that he did need to look the part and did not have to go through the effort of looking presentable alone. Still, the playful tease on Shangxiang's face confirmed she knew he was uncomfortable with the whole dress-up.

The servants helped the concubines dress as well, ensuring their attire was both practical and befitting of their status as officers in Brian's army. The women stood with dignity as the servants adjusted their robes and armor, each piece symbolizing their roles and responsibilities.

Lastly, Brian grabbed his halberd from the wall. Soul Crusher burst with energy in his hand, electric shocks awakening Brian's senses in this early morning. The mighty weapon was eager to be used. Calm down. You'll get your chance. Brian internally answered his weapon. He shifted his eyes to gaze at Shangxiang, Lianshi, Cai Wenji, and Xing Cai, who had just finished their preparations. "Are you all ready?" They all nodded affirmatively. "Then, let's go."

The government hall, located in the heart of Jin Cheng, buzzed with activity. Despite the usual ban on horses in the inner city, the area around the hall was filled with horses aplenty, their reins held by disciplined guards who moved with precision, maintaining order and peace.

Famous officers had gathered, their presence a noteworthy attraction for the random passerby. Officers like Lu Bu, Zhao Yun, and Pang De stood out the most, while strategists like Zhuge Liang, Sima Yi, and their respective wives mingled among the warriors, their presence commanding respect. Some caught up with one another, while others observed the city of Jin Cheng with keen eyes. There was no hostility, but the warriors' competitive spirits were evident, eager to test their might in the upcoming tournament.

Brian and his group arrived early, greeted by respectful nods and salutes from the guards and officers. As they dismounted and handed their reins to the stable hands, Brian noticed Lu Su and Fa Zheng near the entrance, deep in conversation. Their faces lit up with smiles, one sincere and one devilish, as they saw their lord approach.

"Lord Brian, my friend!" Lu Su called out warmly. "It's good to see you."

"Lu Su, Fa Zheng," Brian replied, shaking their hands firmly. "It's good to see you both. How have you been?"

"We've been well," Fa Zheng said with a devilish smile. "Collecting debts is always a fine undertaking."

Brian momentarily wondered if Fa Zheng meant that both figuratively and literally, but decided not to ask. Instead, he smiled and responded, "Well, it's good that you're both here. We have much to discuss, and I need your insights."

"Indeed," Lu Su added. "But first, did you enjoy the new tea?"

Brian's eyes lit up. "Absolutely! The one with passionfruit and mango was extraordinary!"

A soft poke in his side interrupted him. Shangxiang's arm entangled with his, and her expression spoke volumes. Please continue this conversation later. It is going to be a busy day. Brian deduced what her expression meant.

Shangxiang's eyes were sincere yet firm as she addressed the two strategists. "Master Fa Zheng, Master Lu Su, I apologize for interrupting, but the council is about to begin, and Lord Brian needs to prepare."

Both strategists bowed gracefully. "Certainly, Lady Shangxiang."

Zhang Chunhua, listening nearby, smiled briefly, pleased with the display of respect before returning to her conversation with other officers.

As they entered the government hall, Brian noted the disciplined guards patrolling the area, their presence a reassuring reminder of the order and security surrounding the council. The hall itself was grand and imposing, its walls lined with tapestries and banners representing the various regions and factions united under Brian's leadership.

In the council room, large maps of the southern regions were spread out, each important area detailed meticulously. Mi Tong and a few other knights stood at the center, organizing and reviewing the maps.

"Lord Brian," Mi Tong greeted with a bow, the other knights following suit. "All the maps and intel are ready. I hope they meet your needs for this council."

"I'm sure they will. Thank you, Master Mi Tong," Brian said, beginning to examine the data.

Gradually, officers filled the room, bowing to Brian as they took their seats. Strategists like Chen Gong, Jia Xu, and Guo Jia settled in the front, while strong officers like Wei Yan, Huang Zhong, and Xiahou Yuan took the back. The two archers quibbled as they entered, their rivalry evident.

The atmosphere thickened with anticipation. Cao Pi, Lu Bu, Yuan Shao, and Dong Zhuo, residents of Jin Cheng for two months now, hadn't seen Brian's full army until today. The scale of his officers, many legendary, impressed them, even if they wouldn't admit it.

Brian instructed the guards and Delan to arrange food and drinks before he stepped inside and closed the door. The room buzzed with low conversations, thick with anticipation and the weight of their monumental task. Brian took his place at the center, flanked by key advisors and allies. The room quieted as he cleared his throat.

"Thank you for gathering here today. Let's get straight to the point; we are here to plan a campaign to unite the land," he began, his voice steady and authoritative. "Each of you brings unique strengths and invaluable expertise to the table. Use it, craft it, and meld your experience to make this campaign a formality."

Fa Zheng stepped forward at Brian's nod, taking the lead. "Our enemies are spread across several key locations," he began, pointing to the map. "Sun Ce holds Xiangyang, Sun Jian controls Wujun, Wen Yang rules over Jiangxia, Lu Meng commands Yiling, Zhang Liao defends Hefei, and Lu Xun has fortified Chibi. In Guangling, Wang Yuanji leads the enemy forces. Changban is held by Guan Yu, and Fan Castle is under Guan Ping's control. Additionally, Meng Huo and the wizard Zuo Ci occupy Baidi Castle."

Brian's mind briefly wandered at the mention of Zuo Ci, pondering the rumors of magic. Could such powers exist on the battlefield? He shook off the thought as Fa Zheng continued.

"Our starting point will be Luo Yang," Fa Zheng said. "From there, we will move to Xiangyang and subdue Sun Ce quickly to gain a strategic foothold."

Lu Bu's eyes sparkled with eagerness. "The Little Conqueror, you say? Let me lead the assault. It will be a worthy challenge."

Brian raised a hand. "Lu Bu, your valor is unmatched, but Taishi Ci is your target. Sun Ce's leadership will be countered by our combined forces, but Taishi Ci's martial prowess demands your skill. Dian Wei and Xu Zhu will assist in isolating him."

Lu Bu frowned, folding his arms. "I don't need assistance for Taishi Ci."

Brian met Lu Bu's gaze, his expression resolute. "I have no doubt you can handle him, but we need to ensure he's isolated. Dian Wei and Xu Zhu will manage the interference, so you can focus solely on Taishi Ci."

Lu Bu considered this, his eyes narrowing before he nodded. "Very well. I will take down Taishi Ci while they keep the distractions at bay."

"With Taishi Ci occupied, we need to focus on the next threat on the battlefield," Fa Zheng asserted. "Her presence can boost morale and quickly become a determining factor."

Brian's gaze swept the room, searching for the right candidate to take on this task. He found Zhao Yun, whose calm and determined demeanor gave him confidence. "Zhao Yun, your mission is to neutralize Daqiao. Use your tactics to isolate her and prevent her from rallying their troops."

Zhao Yun acknowledged the command with a firm nod. "She will not interfere, my lord."

Jia Xu, feeling increasingly in his element, interjected smoothly. "We need to lure her into a trap. Guo Jia and I will devise a ruse to draw her away from their main forces. Once isolated, Zhao Yun can strike."

Guo Jia nodded in agreement, his face thoughtful. "Indeed, we can spread false intelligence suggesting a weak point in our lines. When Daqiao moves to exploit it, Zhao Yun can move in and cut her off."

There was an overwhelmingly positive response to Guo Jia's strategy, yet Brian remained skeptical. "What reactions can we expect from the enemy? Sun Ce will likely send reinforcements when Daqiao is isolated. We need to anticipate and counter this," he elaborated, ensuring all possibilities were considered. Until it happened, you could never be certain on the battlefield.

Sun Shangxiang, who had been listening intently from the side, raised her hand. Her expression was as serious as Brian had ever seen. "Sun Ce values Daqiao highly and won't stand idly by if she is in danger. My brother is aggressive and arrogant; he will likely come to her rescue personally."

Sun Quan nodded in agreement, his tone reflective. Once, in a time that felt like decades ago, he was the same. "Indeed. Sun Ce is impulsive. If he believes his wife is in danger, he will act swiftly and without caution."

Lu Su joined the discussion with a calculated smile. "This means we can set a trap specifically for Sun Ce. His aggressive nature will lead him straight into our ambush."

Jia Xu's eyes gleamed with insight, his grin widening at the possibilities. "Sun Shangxiang, Sun Quan, and Lu Su are right. Sun Ce will likely take the bait himself."

Thus, an ambush could be set. Brian had a person in mind to take out Sun Ce, and it seemed Fa Zheng had reached the same conclusion. With a devilish grin, he suggested, "Then we set the trap for Sun Ce. If I may suggest, Lord Brian should lead the ambush. Who better to beat the Little Conqueror than the devil himself?"

Brian showed a cheeky grin. "You read my mind, Master Fa Zheng. Very well, I will ambush Sun Ce. However, to make this ambush work, we need to mask it from being an obvious trap. Do we have any way to create the illusion?"

Guo Jia raised his hand again, his mind working through the logistics. "If we predict Sun Ce's moves correctly, we can set up ambush points along his likely path. We let these ambushes retreat in time, suggesting Sun Ce has the upper hand in strength. This will make him even more arrogant and overconfident, thus leading into the eventual ambush he cannot overcome."

Brian acknowledged the plan with a decisive nod. "Zhao Yun, Jia Xu, Guo Jia, focus on Daqiao and execute the ambushes flawlessly."

All three officers bowed again, their resolve evident. "Consider it done."

While Brian gave them their instructions, Sima Yi had been studying the map intently. His gaze was concerning. As Brian finished discussing the ambush, Sima Yi voiced his worries. "Xiangyang is heavily fortified. A direct assault might be costly. The terrain and fortifications give Sun Ce's forces a significant advantage. Perhaps, if we lure some of their forces out, we can weaken their defenses and create an opening."

Cao Cao stood up, drawing all attention to him. His presence commanded attention, and his gaze was once again burning with ambition. "I will feign a retreat with my forces, drawing out Sun Ben and Zhu Zhi. Once they're isolated, we strike them down."

A murmur of approval rippled through the officers. Brian looked intrigued yet remained skeptical. "How do we make the retreat convincing? If it is predetermined that we will retreat, the enemy will see through us." His voice did not speak mockingly but more as a question to an answer he was willing to learn.

Liu Shan raised his hand, his eyes filled with confidence. "I will visit the front lines. As I was told, my image on the battlefield is not always a confident one. Our soldiers know better, but the enemy might feel overconfident if I would retreat."

Cao Cao nodded appreciatively. "Excellent points, Liu Shan. Your presence will inspire our men and make the bait more convincing to the enemy."

Zhuge Liang, not wanting to be outdone by his rival, examined the map of Xiangyang closely and noticed another weak point. "There are several key locations around Xiangyang, too many to secure all at once. We need a rapid deployment unit ready to respond if any of these points are reinforced by Sun Ce's forces."

Ma Chao stepped forward, determination in his eyes. "I volunteer to lead the rapid deployment unit. Ma Dai and I will be ready to reinforce any weak points and respond to sudden threats."

Brian nodded in approval. "Thank you, Ma Chao. Your cavalry will be crucial in maintaining our flexibility."

Fa Zheng raised the next crucial point. "What about our supply lines? Keeping them secure will be essential to sustaining our forces during this battle."

Yuan Shao stood up, feeling this was the task that would prove his worth to his lord. His gaze was steadfast, showing no signs of hesitation or weakness. "I will oversee the security of our supply lines. This is a critical task, and I am prepared to ensure it is flawless."

Brian looked at Yuan Shao, appreciating his initiative. "Thank you, Yuan Shao. Who will you have to guard the supply lines?"

Yuan Shao replied confidently, "Wen Chou and Yan Liang will guard the supply lines. Their strength will ensure they remain secure."

Li Dian stood up as well. "I will support Yuan Shao in ensuring the supply lines are not compromised."

Yue Jin nodded in agreement. "I will assist as well. Together, we will handle it."

Brian nodded in approval. "Excellent." He then shifted his eyes to an old friend and asked, "Lu Su, can I entrust you with the logistics of the supply? Ensure that all necessary supplies are moved efficiently."

Lu Su inclined his head. "Of course, my lord. The logistics will be done flawlessly."

As the war council strategized their approach to Xiangyang, the conversation took a critical turn.

Chen Gong, the newest strategist in Brian Miller's ranks, raised his hand. "What about Cheng Pu? We haven't discussed his role in Sun Ce's defense. His reputation precedes him, and we must consider how to counteract his influence."

Brian's thoughts drifted as he recalled his knowledge of the games. Cheng Pu... Yeah, I don't have much info on him at all. He was in every battle alongside Han Dang and Huang Gai, but he never really stood out, his thoughts reminisced.

Sun Quan, noticing his friend's contemplative expression, spoke up to shed light on the matter. "Cheng Pu is one of our family's most loyal and experienced generals. He served my father, Sun Jian, and my brother with unwavering dedication. Cheng Pu is wise, strategic, and commands great respect among his troops. His presence will indeed make a difference."

Brian nodded, appreciating the insight into his unspoken doubt. "So, Cheng Pu is not just a warrior but a seasoned strategist. We need to devise a plan to counter his experience and tactical prowess. What are his weaknesses?"

Pang Tong, always quick to offer a cunning strategy, spoke up. "Given Cheng Pu's loyalty and tactical discipline, he will not sit idly by when Sun Ben and Zhu Zhi are drawn out. We can use this to our advantage by planning a secondary ambush specifically for Cheng Pu when he comes to their aid."

Xu Shu added thoughtfully, "Indeed. If we make it appear that Sun Ben and Zhu Zhi are in serious trouble, Cheng Pu will feel compelled to intervene. We can have a second ambush unit ready to strike when he arrives, turning his loyalty against him."

Guo Jia nodded in agreement, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Sun Shangxiang and Lady Lianshi should lead this ambush. Their presence and actions will create a psychological conflict for Cheng Pu, forcing him to choose between his loyalty to the Wu family and his tactical acumen."

Brian paused, feeling a knot of conflict in his chest. He glanced at Sun Shangxiang, their eyes meeting. Her gaze was determined. She understood her task and the emotions that would come with fighting her former allies. She was willing to play that critical role. She gave a slight nod, her resolve unwavering.

"Very well," Brian answered, his tone more serious. "We'll use a combination of diversion and ambush. Cao Cao and Liu Shan will feign a retreat to draw out Sun Ben and Zhu Zhi. When Cheng Pu moves to rescue them, Shangxiang and Lianshi will strike."

Shangxiang nodded, her expression resolute. "We will take care of Cheng Pu."

Jia Xu stroked his goatee, his heart beating faster with excitement at the prospect of putting the strategies into practice. "Creating such a dilemma will weaken Cheng Pu's resolve and cause disorder within their ranks. What an extraordinary tactic."

Brian nodded, pleased with the plan. "We have our strategy for Cheng Pu. Let's fine-tune it and move on to our other objectives."

Having discussed Xiangyang, Fa Zheng focused on the next battle that would commence in the campaign. The knights brought forth another map, this one detailing the terrain and key features surrounding Fan Castle. The flat expanse and nearby rivers were marked, along with the names of the seven officers defending the fortress under Guan Ping: Guan Suo, Bao Sanniang, Guan Yinping, Wang Fu, Hu Ban, Zhao Lei, and Ma Liang.

As Liu Bei studied the information, a deep conflict shadowed his features. Facing the children of his sworn brothers felt wrong. He had abandoned Guan Yu and Zhang Fei out of fear and anxiety, but to now confront their offspring—children he had seen grow up—tugged at his conscience.

Liu Shan, sitting beside his father, spoke softly, his voice steady and reassuring. "Father, everything will be okay. We must do what is necessary to unify the land and bring peace." His calm demeanor and confident gaze were a stark contrast to the hesitant leader he had once been.

Zhao Yun, standing nearby, nodded in agreement. "Liu Shan has grown into a wise and brave leader. He speaks the truth, Lord Liu Bei. We must face this challenge together."

The room filled with murmurs of agreement, some officers voicing their support, while others offered solemn nods. They had witnessed Liu Shan's growth over the past year and felt pride in the young leader they were ready to follow into battle.

Brian felt a surge of pride himself but kept his focus on the war council. There was much to discuss, and he knew little about the youngsters of the Shu family. Noticing Brian's puzzled expression, Zhuge Liang stepped forward to provide clarity.

"Guan Ping is Guan Yu's eldest son," Zhuge Liang began. "He is a fierce and talented warrior, much like his father. His leadership commands respect and loyalty, and his martial prowess is formidable. However, he often relies heavily on brute strength." He moved down the list, explaining each officer's strengths and weaknesses. "Guan Suo, the youngest son, compensates for his lack of power with exceptional agility and speed. He specializes in flanking and surprise attacks."

Zhuge Liang continued, detailing each officer's capabilities. "Bao Sanniang is a skilled warrior and strategist, known for her versatility on the battlefield. Her passionate nature translates to her fighting style, making her a relentless and unpredictable force."

"Guan Yinping, Guan Yu's daughter," Zhuge Liang continued, a note of admiration in his voice, "possesses enormous strength. There are many rumors regarding the limits of her strength, and the question is if they are all as far-fetched as originally told. She is both strong and courageous, often leading from the front lines. Her bravery and sheer power make her a formidable opponent, but her aggressive tactics can sometimes leave her vulnerable to well-planned counterattacks."

"Wang Fu," Zhuge Liang went on, "is a seasoned commander known for his disciplined approach to warfare. He is highly reliable and maintains strict control over his troops. His weakness, however, lies in his rigidity. He can be slow to adapt to rapidly changing battlefield conditions, which we can exploit with flexible and dynamic strategies."

"Hu Ban is a skilled warrior, particularly noted for his defensive capabilities. He excels in holding positions and can withstand prolonged engagements. However, his focus on defense can make him overly cautious, often missing opportunities for offensive strikes. If we pressure him and force him to make quick decisions, we may find openings in his defenses."

"Zhao Lei is known for his swift and precise attacks. He is highly skilled in surprise assaults and ambushes, making him a dangerous adversary. However, his reliance on speed can sometimes lead to overextension, leaving him isolated and vulnerable to counterattacks. If we can lure him into overcommitting, we can trap and neutralize him."

"Ma Liang," Zhuge Liang concluded, "is a strategic mind, providing crucial support and planning. He excels in devising tactics and coordinating troop movements. His weakness lies in his physical combat abilities; he is not as formidable a warrior as his counterparts. By disrupting his plans and forcing him into direct confrontation, we can undermine his strategic advantage."

As expected, Zhuge Liang had significant knowledge of his previous subordinates. Seeing Zhuge Liang's awaiting eyes, Brian nodded, satisfied. "Thank you, Master Zhuge Liang. Let's break down the battlefield's options and see how to secure victory here.'' Brian turned his attention to his officers. "Tell me more about Fan Castle. I am unfamiliar with this fortress."

Jiang Wei spoke first, his tone measured. "Fan Castle is a stronghold built on flat terrain, surrounded by rivers on three sides. Its walls are high and thick, making it difficult to breach with a direct assault. The fortress is equipped with strong gates and numerous watchtowers, providing a clear view of the surrounding area."

Sima Yi continued, "The rivers around Fan Castle act as natural barriers, complicating any approach. There are several bridges that connect the castle to the surrounding land, but they are heavily guarded and fortified."

Chen Gong added, "Inside the castle, there are multiple layers of defense. The outer wall encloses the main courtyard and barracks, while an inner wall protects the central keep, where supplies and the command center are located. The keep itself is a formidable structure, designed to withstand prolonged sieges."

Fa Zheng interjected, "The castle is equipped with a network of underground tunnels. These can be used for both moving troops quickly within the castle and for potential escape routes. However, they can also be used to launch surprise attacks on besieging forces."

Zhuge Liang said, "The strategic location of Fan Castle allows it to control key supply routes. It is a central hub for moving troops and resources across the region, making it a vital point for maintaining control over the surrounding territories."

Jia Xu added, "The castle has ample storage facilities for food, weapons, and other supplies. The defenders are likely well-provisioned, capable of holding out against a siege for an extended period."

Guo Jia noted, "The layout of the castle is designed to funnel attackers into kill zones, where defenders can maximize their effectiveness. The narrow passages and fortified positions make it difficult for large groups of attackers to move swiftly."

Xu Shu concluded, "Fan Castle's defenses are further enhanced by its elevation. The slightly raised position gives the defenders a vantage point over the surrounding area, making it easier to spot and target approaching enemies."

Brian listened intently, absorbing the detailed information about Fan Castle's structure and defenses. His thoughts continued to drift back to the simplified depictions of battlefields in the earlier games. The game usually wouldn't settle for a prolonged siege, often offering a straightforward way to break it.

The sounds in the council room ebbed away as Brian visualized the map completely, his officers and opponents represented as simple blocks. His officers noticed the trance and quickly deduced they were witnessing one of his ingenious moments again. It felt like their lord was daydreaming, only for him to emerge with an unbelievable strategy.

Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang smiled, while newcomers such as Lu Bu and Dong Zhuo stared curiously at the scene. They had heard the rumors but had believed them to be just that—rumors.

"Catapults to the south, on the hills," Brian began, his voice steady. "The distance should be enough to pose a significant threat to the castle. If they wish to hold the castle under siege, they will have to deal with them first. Guan Yinping, Guan Suo, and Zhao Lei would be the three officers focusing on countering our siege units. They would move down south over the southwest, south, and southeast respectively. Perhaps Guan Suo would move through the back, exploiting the path leading from the west to southwest. If we can capture him, Bao Sanniang would come to his rescue. This would leave their defenses of Fan Castle open. Ambushing the countering forces would be the smartest option, causing distress in Hu Ban's forces. If he makes a rash decision to help his allies, they lose another defender."

Brian continued, "Wang Fu would focus on defense, so he would stay in the castle, holding the fortifications. They will likely send a reinforcement request to their fathers, so if we can stop them in time, we won't have to worry about external threats. Controlling the river is crucial. They would have no way to get more resources. Additionally, if we open the floodgates, we can breach the gates of Fan Castle."

He moved the blocks on the map to illustrate his plan. "Have the catapults act as a decoy to lure their counterforces. Use a fake message to make them seem more threatening than they are. Set ambushes to catch their counterforces before they reach the catapults, spreading their defenses thin. Deploy an infiltration group to the floodgates and flood the castle grounds. We need platforms to quickly move into the castle. Reinforcements can threaten us from the southeast and west, so we must capture nearby towns to cut off supply lines and reinforcement routes. If they don't move to engage our catapults, use them to batter the castle walls."

When Brian exited his trance, he was met with a lot of surprised and bewildered expressions. His oldest strategists knew he was a marvelous tactician, but for the new ones, it came as a revelation.

"An excellent strategy as usual, my lord," Jiang Wei praised, his voice filled with admiration. "The complexity and layers of deception will keep the enemy off balance."

More wanted to comment on his amazing strategy, but Brian dismissed them. "This is only a possibility to secure victory here. Tell me, where are the weaknesses in my strategy? What did I not foresee, and what can we expand upon?"

Zhuge Liang was the first to speak up, his tone thoughtful. "The catapults are a crucial element, but their position on the hills makes them vulnerable to counter-attacks. If the enemy discovers their location too early, they might be able to sabotage them before they become effective. We should consider fortifying their position or providing them with a guard detail to ensure they are protected."

Sima Yi nodded, adding, "Additionally, the reliance on false messages can be a double-edged sword. If the enemy sees through our ruse, they might use the misinformation against us, setting their own traps. We need to ensure our intelligence is flawless and consider backup plans if the enemy becomes suspicious."

Fa Zheng interjected, "The floodgates are a brilliant tactic, but we must ensure our infiltration team can reach them undetected. If the enemy fortifies the floodgate controls or sets traps of their own, our plan could fail. We should have a secondary team ready to assist or provide a distraction to ensure the primary team can complete their task."

Jia Xu, always the pragmatist, spoke next. "Our plan hinges on spreading their defenses thin and isolating their counterforces. However, if they anticipate this and concentrate their forces instead, we might find ourselves facing a unified and well-defended enemy. We need to be ready to adapt our strategy if we encounter unexpected resistance."

Chen Gong, ever meticulous, added, "The coordination between our units is paramount. Any miscommunication or delay could spell disaster. We must ensure that our lines of communication are secure and efficient, with contingency plans in place for any disruptions."

Xu Shu concluded, "Lastly, we should consider the morale and readiness of our troops. This strategy requires precise execution and unwavering discipline. We must prepare our soldiers thoroughly, ensuring they understand their roles and are ready to adapt to changing circumstances on the battlefield."

Brian listened carefully, nodding as each strategist presented their insights. "Very good. Now, tell me, how do I tackle each point? Use whatever you need to acquire victory, and coordinate together how we would claim victory here." Brian ordered.

The room fell into a focused silence as the strategists began coordinating their plans.

Zhuge Liang was the first to step forward. "For the catapults, we can fortify their position with earthworks and palisades. Additionally, we should station a guard detail comprised of archers and infantry to protect them from any surprise attacks. Yueying, your engineers can work on these fortifications."

Yueying nodded. "My engineers will ensure the catapults are well-protected and positioned for maximum effectiveness. The juggernauts, if the terrain allows, will provide additional fortification."

Cao Ren, who had remained silent so far, suddenly intervened. "I do not like to be rude, but would the juggernauts suffice to defend such an important location? If you want to be certain this position is secure, my advice is to bring Lady Xingcai as an additional guard." He suggested before he politely bowed and added, "Sorry if I spoke out of turn."

Jia Xu stroked his goatee, thinking deeply as a grin appeared on his face. "Having Xingcai join the defense would not only secure our position but also create a psychological disadvantage for the enemy to face a former ally. If we have Liu Bei join the defense on the other path, it would deliver a critical hit to their morale."

Brian shifted his gaze to both officers. Xingcai showed no hesitation, giving a confirming nod that she was up for the task. Liu Bei, however, looked hesitant.

Brian addressed Liu Bei with a clear strictness that felt like a reminder of his reformed slaps that had brought Liu Bei back from his depressed and passive state, "Liu Bei, your presence would greatly strengthen our defense and strike at the heart of the enemy's morale. Are you willing to take on this role?"

Liu Bei took a deep breath, his eyes reflecting a mix of determination and sadness. "For the sake of uniting the land and bringing peace, I will do what is necessary. I will join the defense."

Brian nodded but did not elaborate. He had no time to show mercy to his commanders at this moment. They either helped him, or they didn't.

Sima Yi added, "Our misinformation strategy must be flawless. We will create a series of false messages and decoys to mislead the enemy. I'll coordinate with our intelligence officers to ensure these messages are delivered through trusted channels, making them more believable. Guo Jia, your expertise in psychological warfare will be invaluable here. Pang Tong, your cunning will enhance this effort."

Guo Jia nodded. "We'll craft a narrative that fits the enemy's expectations, making our false messages seem genuine. Pang Tong and I will develop layers of deception to keep the enemy off balance."

''Consider it done.'' Pang Tong merely answered, his mouth hidden by a white fabric.

Fa Zheng interjected, "For the infiltration team targeting the floodgates, we'll need our best scouts and stealth operatives. Wang Yi and Wei Yan have proven their skills in infiltration and will lead this effort. I'll organize a secondary team to provide support and create diversions if necessary, ensuring the primary team can focus on their objective without interference."

Jia Xu added, "For the diversion, I would advise you, Lord Brian. Your presence as a major threat in front of the castle will draw their attention. While you engage them, we have Lu Lingqi and Xiahou Dun act as secondary distraction groups on the sides. By causing chaos to their front, and having the threat of the catapults lingering to a possible siege, they would be too focussed on the front. This would be sufficient for stealth operatives to reach the floodgates.''

Brian nodded, a serious expression hiding the mixed emotions he felt. Although the nightmares had lessened, they still tormented his sleep on bad days. Despite that duality, he was determined to play his part. "Consider it done. I will cause havoc on their frontlines." He shifted his gaze to Xiahou Dun and Lu Lingqi.

Xiahou Dun nodded, glad that he could go wild on the battlefield. "We will strike swiftly and leave no room for the enemy to counter."

Lu Lingqi added, her fierce determination evident, "Count on us to deliver a decisive blow."

Satisfied with the plan for the floodgates, Brian turned his attention to Chen Gong for the next critical point of the battlefield: communication.

Chen Gong, understanding his cue, started immediately, "Effective communication will be key to our success. Zhou Cang, with his swiftness, will be our primary runner, ensuring messages are delivered promptly. Additionally, we'll establish a network of signalers using flags and fires to relay information quickly across the battlefield."

Brian looked skeptical, his mind analyzing the possibilities of such a strategy. ''Teaching and learning how to communicate with flags takes time, especially since you want the flaggers to know things automatically and under pressure. Do you think you can teach them to be effective in battle in just a month, Chen Gong?''

Chen Gong showed a grin. ''Most certainly, my lord. Just leave it to me. Further, if we can station a few messengers while horseback riding, who can maintain the flow of information.''

Brian looked convinced as he turned to Zhou Cang. ''Zhou Cang, this task relies heavily on your speed and ability to move swiftly. Can you ensure us that you are up to the task?'' Zhou Cang grinned as held his thumb up. ''You got it, my lord.''

Brian raised his eyebrow but said nothing. He did not mind the casual confirmation, but he had to make an example. With the communication plan set, Brian addressed Xu Shu next. "Morale and readiness are paramount. What do you propose?"

Xu Shu replied, "Yu Jin and Zhang He will focus on discipline and training. We'll conduct rigorous sessions to ensure every soldier understands their role and is prepared for any situation. Additionally, we'll have moments of relaxation to keep their spirits high. Cai Wenji and Zhen Ji's music will be instrumental in maintaining morale."

Brian looked a bit in thought as he shifted to both Yu Jin and Zhang He and commented, ''Have Zhou Cang join those sessions.''

The bandit-lookalike wanted to protest, but he had no chance as both Yu Jin and Zhang He nodded in agreement. ''We'll keep the troops in peak condition and disciplined.''

Brian, however, was not done yet. He shifted his gaze to Zhen Ji and Cai Wenji. Although he agreed music was a good way to relieve tension, it put both officers under a lot of pressure. That was visible in Zhen Ji's expression, and although Cai Wenji showed determination to do her part, he could not put her under so much pressure. Thus, he shifted to Xu Shu and asked, ''Are there any ways that you can maintain morale without solely relying on Cai Wenji and Zhen Ji?''

Xu Shu, acknowledging the concern, nodded thoughtfully. ''Indeed, my lord. While music will be a crucial factor, we can also incorporate other methods to maintain morale. I heard wrestling and games of Cuju could be used to attain morale, as well as fostering a sense of camaraderie, teamwork, and unity. Periods of rest and fine food help to sustain morale as well. Periods of rest, together with storytelling sessions around the campfire, should keep our morale high.''

Brian nodded in agreement, catching a glimpse of relief in Zhen Ji's expression. "Good. Let's ensure our troops are well-rested, well-fed, and united in spirit. Write down the things we have discussed in global lines, and fine-tune them when we have discussed all.''

Brian shifted his gaze to Fa Zheng, who nodded. "Up next in this campaign is the vital location of Chang Ban. Guan Yu and Zhang Fei have taken their camps there, alongside a few other former associates of ours." Fa Zheng's gaze shifted to Zhuge Liang.

Zhuge Liang merely smiled, showing no concern about having to engage his brother in battle. "Do not worry, Fa Zheng. I am more than committed to showing my little brother the error of his ways. I do hope he joins our side by then."

Although Zhuge Liang looked determined and optimistic, the same could not be said about Liu Bei. Before the strategists could start their discussion, he drew their attention to him. "Lord Brian, may I make a suggestion?"

Brian turned his attention to Liu Bei, his expression serious. He already knew what was coming but decided to give one of his newest officers a chance. "Of course. Please share it."

Liu Bei took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "As much as it pains me to suggest this, I believe it is crucial for us to understand the morale and mindset of Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Their loyalty and sense of brotherhood are strong, and if we can appeal to that, we might be able to turn them to our side or at least weaken their resolve to fight against us."

Brian looked doubtful. Liu Bei did not look confident in his standpoint, and none of the officers seemed inclined to support him. To summarize his officer's words, he repeated, "You propose we attempt to communicate with them, to sway their loyalty before engaging in battle?"

Liu Bei nodded. "Yes, my lord. If we can send envoys with messages that appeal to their sense of justice and brotherhood, we might be able to prevent unnecessary bloodshed. Zhuge Liang and I share a deep bond with them, and our words might carry weight."

"Do you still think those bonds matter?" Brian immediately responded, striking Liu Bei like a bucket of cold water. The room turned silent almost immediately.

"Y-Yes, I do! Guan Yu and Zhang Fei share an oath with me. We vowed to fight until the chaos was over." Liu Bei answered, his emotions showing.

Brian looked strict before he closed his eyes and asked, "Liu Bei, what does a friendship between two people require?"

"Pardon?" Liu Bei asked, confused.

"I asked, what does a friendship between people require?" Brian repeated.

Liu Bei, still taken aback, hesitated before answering, "Trust, loyalty, and mutual respect."

Brian nodded slowly, opening his eyes to meet Liu Bei's gaze. "Those are a few. Can you say with certainty that these bonds still hold, after everything that has happened?"

Liu Bei swallowed hard, struggling to maintain his composure. "I believe they do, my lord. Despite the circumstances, the bond we share is strong. It's worth trying to appeal to them."

"You believe? What foundations do you have to make that claim? What if I were to say your choices are decisive for our campaign? What if all our lives are on the line for your decision? Would you risk all that on a guess?" Brian's tone was neutral, more of a lord testing his subordinate's resolve than an angry commander breaking down his officers.

Liu Bei struggled to answer, his gut feeling at odds with the stark reality Brian presented. He had no concrete reason to believe Guan Yu and Zhang Fei still trusted him after his descent into madness and distrust. The picture of himself fighting his brothers pained his heart.

Brian sighed, a touch of sympathy in his voice. "You follow your feelings. There's nothing wrong with following your heart, but you must listen to your mind as well. Let your emotions lead you astray, and you will fight a losing battle. The moment you lose sight of the bigger picture is the day you will lose everything."

Brian then turned to Zhuge Liang. "What are the possibilities of a diplomatic solution to this fight?"

Zhuge Liang, ever composed, nodded thoughtfully. "My lord, while the bonds of brotherhood and loyalty run deep, we must be realistic. Guan Yu and Zhang Fei might be in disagreement with Liu Bei, but their sense of justice and honor may still be appealed to. If we can present a compelling argument that aligns with their values and the greater good of the land, there is a possibility they might reconsider their stance."

He continued, "However, we must prepare for the likelihood that they may not be swayed. We should send envoys with messages that appeal to their sense of justice and brotherhood, but we must also be ready to proceed with our military strategy if diplomacy fails."

Brian nodded, acknowledging the balance between diplomacy and military readiness. "We will hope for the best but prepare for the worst.'' He shifted to Fa Zheng, and gave a cue to continue.

Fa Zheng spoke, his expression serious as he began to outline the key points, "Chang Ban is a crucial location due to its proximity to major supply routes and its strategic position along the river. There are lots of possibilities for fortification, rendering this a battle that could develop into a siege."

"What do we know about the officers on their side?" Brian asked, ensuring all information was on the table.

Xu Shu was the first to respond, his voice measured and clear. "Guan Yu is known as the God of War for good reason. He is a masterful warrior, with unparalleled skill in combat and a keen strategic mind. His presence on the battlefield greatly boosts the morale of his troops. However, his pride can sometimes lead to underestimating his opponents, which we can potentially exploit."

Pang Tong chimed in next, his tone thoughtful. "Zhang Fei is a ferocious and fearless warrior. His sheer presence can intimidate enemies, and his bravery is unmatched. However, his temper and impulsiveness can sometimes lead to rash decisions. If provoked correctly, he might make a critical error."

Liu Bei, still grappling with his emotions but determined to provide useful insight, spoke up. "Guan Xing and Zhang Bao, the sons of Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, have inherited their fathers' skills and bravery. Guan Xing is known for his quick thinking and adaptability on the battlefield, while Zhang Bao's strength and courage make him a formidable opponent. Their loyalty to their fathers is unwavering, and they will fight fiercely to protect their legacy."

Xu Shu continued, "Yu Ji is a strategist with a sharp mind and a background in Taoism and healing. Known for his cunning tactics and ability to read the battlefield, his presence means we need to be wary of potential traps and ambushes. His charisma and morale-boosting abilities could pose a significant challenge to our forces. It's said that he fled from Sun Ce's wrath, fearing for his life, and sought refuge with Guan Yu at Chang Ban."

Pang Tong added, "Liu Qi, the son of Liu Biao, holds a significant position due to his lineage. He is known for his leadership and administrative skills, which means he will likely be involved in managing their supplies and logistics. Disrupting his efforts could weaken their overall coordination."

Pang Tong then stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with a cunning plan. "We need to initiate a fast assault that leaves the enemy no time to breathe. A fire attack will disrupt their fortifications and create chaos within their ranks."

Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan exchanged glances, each eager to prove their archery skills. "We can ignite the fires with our arrows," Huang Zhong said confidently.

Xiahou Yuan nodded, a competitive spark in his eyes. "I'll make sure my arrows find their mark faster than yours, old man. You can stay behind and see how it is done."

"In your dreams, young lad. I will show you that these old bones are more than enough for the job." Huang Zhong remarked back, a playful grin on his face.

Brian raised an eyebrow but let the two archers continue their playful rivalry. He shifted to the rest of the council. "Who will take on the key officers?"

Lu Bu arose from his seat, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "I'll take on Zhang Fei. It's been a while since I've faced a worthy challenge."

Many others volunteered to take on Guan Yu, including the likes of Xiahou Dun and Pang De. Yet, knowing the god of war's reputation, Brian decided to face him himself.

The room fell silent, the weight of Brian's words sinking in. Although none doubted the strengths of their lord, Guan Yu was the god of war. Even Zhang Chunhua, who had no signs of hesitation or doubt, began to feel worried for her lover. Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi looked doubtful as well, not wanting to put their friend to that task.

Sun Shangxiang eventually voiced that concern, almost pleading to reconsider. "My lord, you'll participate in several consecutive battles and Guan Yu is no ordinary opponent. Are you sure you can handle him?"

"Allow us to join you, my lord! We will keep you safe!" Dian Wei pleaded, slamming his chest as a token of loyalty.

"You betcha. No one will lay a hand on our lord while we are there!" Xu Zhu added.

Cao Cao agreed, feeling relieved his bodyguards joined his friend in this challenge. "Dian Wei, Xu Zhu, protect Lord Brian with everything you possess. Do not hold back."

Xingcai, relieved her lover had gained support, decided to play a vital role herself. "I will take on Zhang Bao. It's time I beat some sense into my brother."

Jia Xu, intrigued by the psychological aspect of their plan, added, "This strategy will inflict psychological damage on the enemy. It aligns perfectly with our approach of a first diplomatic approach. Do not hold back in this fight, and this battle will be in our favor from the start."

Dong Zhuo, surprisingly, stood up. "I'll handle Liu Qi. Hua Xiong and Fan Chou will assist me. We will cut off their supplies and logistics. I will perfect my plan with Jia Xu to fit the battlefield's momentum."

Cao Cao raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised by Dong Zhuo's proactive stance. "An intriguing suggestion," he mused. "Your willingness to contribute is commendable, Dong Zhuo."

Dong Zhuo smirked, his eyes glinting with a mix of pride and ambition. "Do not mistake my intentions. I see the value in a unified land under strong leadership, and I recognize Brian's strength."

Sima Yi, not wanting to be outdone, volunteered next. "I will deal with Zhuge Jun. I should show my rival's family who the true mastermind is." Zhuge Liang chuckled but did not disagree. Their friendship had grown.

Cao Ren stood up next. "Leave Guan Xing to me. I will stop him in his tracks," he spoke, his eyes determined to show his worth on the battlefield. Brian agreed, yet shifted to Cao Pi as well. "Cao Pi, assist Cao Ren in that task. Show me your worth." Cao Pi nodded, as he answered, "Very well. Consider it done."

Zhen Ji, who had been silent until now, stepped forward. "I volunteer to face Yu Ji. My skills in music and strategy will allow me to counter his morale-boosting abilities and his tactical maneuvers."

Brian nodded, appreciating her initiative but recognizing the need for additional support. "Zhen Ji, your talents will be crucial in countering Yu Ji's influence. However, we cannot underestimate him. Zhang He, I want you to accompany Zhen Ji. Your combat skills and strategic mind will ensure their victory."

Zhang He stepped forward, his demeanor confident and assured. "I will ensure we succeed, my lord. Together, we will neutralize Yu Ji and prevent him from swaying the battle."

The war council of Chang Ban concluded, and the officers turned their focus to Yiling. Held by the formidable forces of Wu, this region posed its own unique challenges.

As Fa Zheng explained the battlefield and the officers stationed there, the discussion for the rest of the afternoon was lively. The energy of both officers and strategists did not slow down despite the length of the long council. Everyone wanted to be heard, participate, and bring their opinions to the council.

The strategists dissected every potential tactic, from anticipated fire attacks and ambushes to the clever use of false messages and fake retreats. They examined the strengths and weaknesses of the Wu officers, ensuring no angle was overlooked. The atmosphere was charged with determination as officers eagerly volunteered for various roles, whether it was setting traps, executing fake retreats, patrolling, or bolstering the defense.

During a brief break, Delan and the servants brought food and beverages, but the discussions continued unabated. They debated the use of water as a decoy and the strategy of overwhelming the enemy with sheer force. The camaraderie and competitive spirit among the officers fueled the intensity of their planning.

With the global plan for Yiling set, the focus shifted to Baidi Castle. The mention of magic, along with the use of animals and guerrilla tactics, introduced elements of uncertainty, prompting a fervent discussion about how to counter these threats wielded by Meng Huo and his allies. The strategists emphasized the importance of intelligence and preparedness in these unknown dangers.

The discussion of the rest of the afternoon was livid, with officers and strategists relentlessly contributing their ideas. The room buzzed with the collective determination to secure victory.

As darkness fell over the lands, the council's first day was concluded, and the doors of the government building opened up. What awaited the tired officers was a welcoming sight; a blooming festival full of food carts, and entertainment. It was the first festival day before the tournament started, and as expected, it had turned wonderful once again. As Brian enjoyed a moment of relaxation, he reminded himself to thank Delan.

As the streets of his beloved city were illuminated by hanging lanterns and filled with partying people, he couldn't help but feel blessed. Seventeen months ago, he reincarnated as a young lord into this unknown world and had the Emperor ask for his assistance to unite the land. Now, that mission seemed close to finished.

One more campaign to unite the land. One more campaign to meet all the warriors he once discovered in a game. One more, to finally be done.

He froze. He had not thought that far yet, but now, that future drew near. One more campaign, before he united China, and his task in this world was over. What would happen after that? Would he be transported back? Would he stay in this world? Had he a say in that decision? Brian had continued to live his life like he belonged to that world for the past year, but he did not belong there. He was merely a visitor to a world far behind his time. Seeing his wife running to him, dressed in a cute hanfu, made him feel weak.

Shangxiang's smile was radiant, her eyes shining as the moon on this barely cloudless evening. Her hanfu flowed gracefully with each step. She grabbed his hand, ''What are you spacing out for, dummy? There are so many booths! Everyone is enjoying the festival. Let's join them!''

''Sure, I am coming.'' Brian smiled as he let himself be guided by his wife, momentarily forgetting the worry of the future. It wasn't like he could do something about it anyway. The rest of the evening was filled with pleasantries, even if it didn't become late.

The next morning, Brian stood again in front of his officers in the council, continuing where they had left off. It took a bit of time for some of the strategists to wake up. After a few discussions, they too were ready to bring out their best.

From the muddy lands of Jangxia to the raging waters of Chi-Bi, it did not matter. Whether it was Wen Yang, Lu Xun, or Zhang Liao, it did not matter. His strategists and officers continued to discuss in high morale, each assured victory another boost in their confidence.

By the time the second day of the council ended, the majority of the battles were discussed. It was just a matter of fine-tuning, and it was precisely what that third day was used for.

Transport for the army, and the supplies. The vision of the surrounding towns, with potential allies or enemies. The importance of health, medicine, and hygiene measures within the ranks. Morale and discipline. Command and structure within the rankings. Everything was discussed, and by the time the third council day ended, a clear plan was established. Thus, the officers could enjoy the rest of the week of the festival, and more importantly, the tournament.

The fourth day of the festival marked the beginning of the tournament. A large area was reserved for the occasion just outside of Jin Cheng. The Emperor had also appeared, sitting at a place designed for him.

Delan was watching from the stands, a content expression on his face as he watched his work. The underground of the fighting area was made of wood and stone. The area was large, giving the fighters the room to perform. There were improvised stands to the side, placed to hold a lot of people.

It took him nearly three weeks to complete this place, but as he inspected it one more time, he could conclude he was very content with the result. His lord had already shown his contentment and had appreciated his effort loud and clear.

Delan sat as he thought back to 1,5 years ago when his lord stepped out of his room half confused. It started as a normal day for Delan, who had feared the day as any other since the chaos began. Just seeing his lord's expression when he visited the town had momentarily made room for a small bit of hope. When his lord began to tackle the problems of his village, organize the region's possibilities, and he had defeated the bandits, Delan knew for certain his lord had changed.

The young lord before that day didn't care about a single thing. He was just a kid playing around and training his body but forgetting his tasks as a lord. That day, something had changed his lord, and Delan didn't know what it was or could have been. Nor did he care. The man he served now was a lord like no other could ever be, and if his parents were still alive, they would be immensely proud of their son.

Staring at his young lord while he was talking to his wife made him smile. Sun Shangxiang had grown quite a lot in the time that Delan knew her, and by the many questions and lessons he had thought, he could conclude that the future of the Miller household was in good hands.

People started to gather in large quantities and settled on the stands. Stalls could stand close by but had some rules to listen to. A specific area was designated for them, and they were not allowed to block pathways. Vendors walked through the stands, selling their goods while the show was underway.

The buzz of anticipation grew louder as more spectators filled the stands, their murmuring echoing over the entire event. The tournament participants were preparing in the back, their ears picking up the awaiting spectators loud and clear. They were eager to show their skills.

A familiar figure emerged from one of the gates, his slicked-back hair and devilish grin greeted the audience warmly. Known throughout Jin Cheng for his eccentricity, he was a beloved character by all. He raised his hand for silence, and the crowd obliged perfectly.

"Ladies and gentlemen, warriors and spectators, welcome to the grand tournament!" Fa Zheng's voice boomed, his eyes glinting with excitement. "Today, we gather not just to witness battles, but to see debts repaid, scores settled, and new legends forged!"

The crowd roared in response, their anticipation palpable.

"Friend or foe, everyone here understands the value of repaying debts. I assure you, those stepping into this arena will leave their mark, one way or another. Today is a day for vengeance, for glory, and for you all to witness the might of our finest warriors!"

He paced the stage, gesturing grandly with each word. "Our fighters will trample the ground beneath them, each clash a promise of intensity and skill. Prepare yourselves for a spectacle unlike any other. Those who stand out in the crowd today will incur the wrath of their opponents, and oh, how sweet that battle will be!"

Fa Zheng's grin widened as he leaned in, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper that still carried to the farthest corners of the arena. "I hope you know what you're getting yourselves into by cheering for your champions. The tingling in your spine? That's the thrill of what's to come. You're going to love every moment of this."

With a final flourish, he straightened up and shouted, "Let's get this tournament started! Who will be the first to meet their opponent and show us the true meaning of vengeance and honor? Prepare yourselves, for today, we are going to have some fun!"

The crowd erupted in cheers, the atmosphere electric with anticipation as the first duelists prepared to enter the arena. Brian felt goosebumps all over his body, his warrior's spirit awakened by the opening speech and the crowd's reaction. He was not alone in that regard.

The moment the first round began, it was clear every participant was rearing to go: Their weapons clashed; their roars echoed; their intensity was palpable, and their camaraderie when that duel ended was clear to see. The crowd was up to tip off their seat the entire time. Thus, it was natural when the break came, they all eagerly took a moment to calm down. Things would only become more sensational.

As the second duel of the afternoon ended, and Cao Pi and Sun Quan stepped off the stage, Fa Zheng stepped forward again, his devilish grin spreading across his face. The crowd, already buzzing with excitement, quieted down in anticipation.

"People that stand out in a crowd tend to incur my wrath more easily. Allow me to show you why this festival is different!" Fa Zheng's voice boomed across the arena, instantly grabbing everyone's attention. "Are you all enjoying yourselves so far? Are these battles living up to your expectations? Because, let me tell you, we're just getting started!"

The crowd erupted in cheers, their excitement palpable. Fa Zheng's grin widened. "I can see you're all eager for more. Well, you won't be disappointed. Because now, we have a special request that will elevate this tournament to new heights."

He paused, letting the anticipation build. The crowd leaned in, hanging on his every word. "The spectacle of the day comes from none other than Zhao Yun, the Dragon of Changshan! He has requested a duel that will be talked about for generations. A duel against our very own lord, Brian Miller!"

The crowd gasped, the energy in the arena spiking as whispers and exclamations spread through the stands. Fa Zheng continued, his voice rising with dramatic flair. "That's right! A battle between two legends, two warriors whose skills and honor are unmatched. Zhao Yun challenges our lord, not out of rivalry, but out of respect and a desire to prove himself against the very best."

The excitement in the crowd was electric, the murmurs growing louder. "So, what do you say, my friends? Are you ready to witness a duel that will shake the very foundations of this arena? A duel between the Dragon of Changshan and the unifier of China, our lord Brian Miller!"

The cheers that followed were deafening, the crowd now on their feet, their enthusiasm infectious. Fa Zheng basked in their reaction, his grin never fading. "Then let the preparations begin! This will be a fight for the ages, a true testament to the spirit and strength of our warriors. Prepare yourselves for a spectacle unlike any other!"

With that, the crowd's cheers grew even louder, the anticipation for the upcoming duel reaching a fever pitch. The stage was set for an unforgettable showdown.

The warriors entered the arena, their gazes meeting. Brian noticed a slight change in Zhao Yun's spear, as it seemed a little brighter. The glimpse of a symbol could be seen, meaning Zhao Yun's weapon too had gained an element.

Zhao Yun grabbed his dragon spear and moved it around like a veteran before he settled for a fighting stance. Brian grabbed his halberd, instantly awakening his senses as Soul Crusher could feel it was finally his turn to shine.

The signal to begin was given, and the two warriors sprang into action. Zhao Yun was the first to strike, his dragon spear darting forward like a serpent. Brian met the attack with a swift parry, deflecting the blow with the haft of his halberd. The clash of metal against metal resonated through the arena, drawing gasps and cheers from the crowd.

Zhao Yun pressed the attack, his spear a blur as he launched a series of rapid strikes. Brian countered each one with skillful precision, his halberd moving in perfect synchronization with his body. Their movements were like a dance, each warrior anticipating the other's moves, their friendship evident in the way they fought.

The pace of the duel quickened, both warriors pushing each other to their limits. Zhao Yun's spear crackled with energy as it seemed to increase in speed. Brian responded in kind, channeling the energy of Soul Crusher to amplify his attacks, the halberd glowing with a fierce intensity.

Zhao Yun leaped into the air, aiming a powerful thrust at Brian. Brian sidestepped the attack, his halberd swinging in a wide arc to counter. The blade of Soul Crusher met the dragon spear, the impact sending shockwaves through the arena. The crowd roared in approval, their excitement reaching a fever pitch.

Undeterred, Zhao Yun launched a spinning attack, his spear slicing through the air with deadly precision. Brian blocked the strike, the force of the blow pushing him back a few steps. He quickly regained his footing, his eyes locked on Zhao Yun. There was no hesitation, no doubt in their movements. This was a duel of equals.

As the duel continued, the intensity grew. Sweat poured down their faces, their breaths coming in short, sharp bursts. Each strike, each parry was executed with flawless precision, neither warrior willing to give an inch. The crowd was on the edge of their seats, the atmosphere electric with anticipation.

In a sudden burst of speed, Zhao Yun lunged forward, aiming for Brian's midsection. Brian anticipated the move, sidestepping and using the momentum to swing his halberd in a powerful arc. The blade of Soul Crusher connected with the shaft of the dragon spear, the force of the impact sending it flying from Zhao Yun's grasp.

The crowd erupted in cheers as Zhao Yun's dragon spear clattered to the ground. Brian stood victorious, his halberd held high. Zhao Yun, breathing heavily, looked at his lord and smiled, a gesture of respect and acknowledgment.

Brian lowered his halberd and extended a hand to Zhao Yun. "Well fought, my friend."

Zhao Yun grasped Brian's hand firmly. "The honor was mine, Lord Brian."

The second day of the tournament began with the rising sun casting a golden glow over the festival. The excitement in the air was palpable as the crowd gathered once again in the arena. Fa Zheng, with his trademark devilish grin, took the stage to rally the crowd for the day's opening match.

"Ladies and gentlemen, warriors and strategists, are you ready for another day of thrilling duels?" Fa Zheng's voice boomed across the arena, his presence commanding immediate attention. The crowd roared in response, their enthusiasm echoing through the stands.

"Today, we begin with a contest of precision and skill, pitting two of our finest archers against each other! On one side, we have the seasoned veteran, whose arrows always find their mark, the legendary Huang Zhong!" Fa Zheng gestured grandly to Huang Zhong, who stepped forward, bowing to the cheering crowd.

"And on the other side, the young and agile sharpshooter, known for his speed and accuracy, the formidable Xiahou Yuan!" Fa Zheng continued, pointing to Xiahou Yuan, who waved confidently to the spectators.

The crowd's cheers grew louder as Fa Zheng set the stage for the match. "Our archers will face a series of challenges, including hidden and moving targets. And for an added twist, some targets will be placed near the crowd, but fear not—safety is our priority, and the arrows for these targets are specially designed!"

With the rules established, Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan took their positions. The first round began with traditional static targets. Both archers demonstrated their exceptional skills, hitting the bullseye with every shot. The crowd watched in awe, their eyes glued to the precision of each arrow.

Fa Zheng, ever the showman, stepped in to spice things up. "Let's see how our archers handle moving targets!" He signaled, and targets began to move across the field. Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan adjusted their aim, arrows flying swiftly and striking the targets with pinpoint accuracy.

The real excitement began when Fa Zheng announced the hidden targets. "Now, for the ultimate challenge—hidden targets near the crowd! Watch closely, everyone!"

Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan took their aim, their eyes scanning the arena for the cleverly concealed targets. The first hidden target was revealed by a slight movement behind a banner near the crowd. Huang Zhong, with his years of experience, quickly spotted it and released his arrow, hitting the target dead center. The crowd erupted in cheers.

Xiahou Yuan, not to be outdone, found his own hidden target, this time behind a moving stall. He shot an arrow with incredible speed, striking the target perfectly. The crowd roared in approval, thrilled by the display of skill.

As the competition continued, the playful taunting between the old and young archers added to the spectacle. Huang Zhong, with a sly grin, called out, "Keep up, young lad! These old bones still have some fight in them!"

Xiahou Yuan, laughing, retorted, "Don't tire yourself out, old man. I might have to carry you off the field!"

The banter only fueled their competitive spirit, each archer pushing themselves to outdo the other. In the final round, a particularly difficult target was placed high above the arena, partially hidden by a hanging lantern.

Huang Zhong took a deep breath, focused, and released his arrow. It soared through the air, narrowly missing the lantern and hitting the target with a resounding thud. The crowd gasped and then cheered, amazed by the precision.

Xiahou Yuan, determined to match the veteran's skill, aimed carefully and released his arrow. It flew straight and true, striking the target just inches away from Huang Zhong's arrow. The crowd's cheers reached a fever pitch, celebrating the incredible talent of both archers.

Fa Zheng, basking in the energy of the crowd, raised his hands. "What a display of archery! Let's hear it for Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan!" The arena echoed with applause and cheers, the spectators showing their appreciation for the thrilling match.

In the end, Huang Zhong's consistent precision earned him the victory, but both archers were celebrated as champions of the day. But the day was far from over.

The crowd had barely settled after the exhilarating archery competition when Fa Zheng took the stage. His devilish grin and commanding presence immediately drew everyone's attention.

"Well, well, well! Wasn't that a sight to behold?" Fa Zheng's voice boomed, full of energy and enthusiasm. "But hold onto your seats, folks, because the excitement doesn't stop here. Our next duel is one for the history books!"

He paused, letting the anticipation build before continuing. "In this corner, we have the man whose ambition and strategic brilliance have reshaped the very fabric of this land. The formidable, the indomitable, Cao Cao!"

The crowd erupted in cheers as Cao Cao stepped forward, his gaze steady and confident. He gave a slight bow to the audience, acknowledging their support.

"And in this corner," Fa Zheng continued, his voice rising, "we have the beacon of virtue and benevolence, a leader whose heart and determination have inspired countless followers. The courageous and noble, Liu Bei!"

The cheers grew even louder as Liu Bei stepped into the arena, his expression conflicted yet determined. He waved to the crowd, his presence exuding warmth and a sense of duty.

Fa Zheng leaned in, his grin widening. "This isn't just a clash of swords, my friends. This is a battle of philosophies, a duel between ambition and virtue. Are you ready to witness history in the making?"

The crowd roared their approval, their excitement palpable.

Cao Cao and Liu Bei faced each other, their weapons drawn. Cao Cao's eyes were sharp and calculating, while Liu Bei's gaze was filled with a mix of determination and inner turmoil. The two leaders circled each other, the tension thick in the air.

The duel began with a swift exchange of blows, their swords clashing with a fierce intensity. Cao Cao's strikes were precise and relentless, pushing Liu Bei to his limits. Liu Bei, however, countered with a defensive grace, reflecting Cao Cao's attacks and looking for openings.

Cao Cao pressed his attack, his movements aggressive and dominating. Each strike was a testament to his reborn ambition, his determination to lead. But as the fight continued, a change began to take shape in his technique. He started to incorporate Liu Bei's reflective style, adapting his dominance with moments of guidance and redirection.

Liu Bei's movements were hesitant, his mind weighed down by doubt. He had once been a beacon of virtue, but the recent turmoil had left him questioning his path. He fought not just with his sword, but with the hope of finding his true self again. His defensive style, usually fluid and adaptive, struggled against Cao Cao's relentless onslaught.

Cao Cao's strikes grew more fierce yet controlled, his ambition driving him to push Liu Bei to his limits. His swordplay was a dance of power and precision, each movement calculated to test Liu Bei's resolve. The crowd watched in awe as the two leaders exchanged blows, their duel a vivid representation of their conflicting ideals.

Liu Bei, despite his internal struggle, tried to maintain his defensive stance. His movements were hesitant at first, but as the fight continued, he began to find moments of clarity. He remembered Brian's words, the encouragement to find his path, and the strength to lead with heart. With a deep breath, he tried to focus, to let go of his doubts.

Cao Cao's attacks were relentless, but now interwoven with moments of redirection, a blend of dominance and guidance. He adapted his style, learning from Liu Bei even as he pushed him to his limits. The crowd could see the internal battle within Liu Bei, his movements a dance of hesitation and resolve.

In a final, powerful exchange, Cao Cao's sword struck with a force that sent Liu Bei to one knee. But even as he knelt, Liu Bei's eyes never wavered.

Cao Cao paused, his sword at the ready. The crowd held its breath, watching as the two leaders locked eyes. At that moment, there was a mutual understanding and respect, a recognition of each other's strengths and weaknesses.

Cao Cao extended a hand, helping Liu Bei to his feet. The crowd erupted in applause, their admiration for both leaders clear.

As the two lords stepped out of the arena under thunderous applause, Fa Zheng, relishing his role as the lively master of ceremonies, strutted back to the center of the arena. His grin was wicked, his eyes sparkling with mischievous delight as he prepared to rally the crowd once more.

"Did you enjoy that thrilling bout, my friends?" he called out, his voice dripping with enthusiasm and a hint of his trademark menace. "The excitement is far from over, I assure you. Prepare yourselves for another clash that will have you on the edge of your seats!"

The audience leaned in, eager for what was to come next. Fa Zheng continued, his voice dripping with the promise of vengeance and glory, "In this corner, we have a warrior whose strength and ferocity are unmatched. She fights with the relentless might of her father, Lu Bu. Wielding her twin halberds with deadly precision, give it up for Lu Lingqi!"

The crowd erupted in cheers as Lu Lingqi stepped forward, her halberds spinning in a dazzling display of skill. She exuded confidence, her intense gaze locked on her opponent.

"And in this corner," Fa Zheng went on, his grin widening, "we have the ultimate defense, a fortress of resolve. Her shield is impenetrable, and her sword strikes with unerring accuracy. The daughter of Zhang Fei, ready to show her mettle—Xingcai!"

The crowd's roar grew louder as Xingcai entered the arena, her shield held high and her sword at the ready. Her gaze met Lu Lingqi head-on. However, her eyes also picked up on the subtle presence of her lover staring in the distance. Brian gave her a confident smile, reassuring her she could win this.

Fa Zheng's voice took on a more sinister tone, playing to the crowd's anticipation. "Two daughters of legends, facing off in a battle for honor and glory. Will the relentless offense of Lu Lingqi break through the impenetrable defense of Xingcai? Let the duel begin!"

The bell rang, and Lu Lingqi launched herself at Xingcai. A powerful swing of her halberd was met by Xingcai's shield, deflecting the blow, while her sword aimed for a counterstrike. The clash of metal echoed through the arena, drawing gasps and cheers from the crowd.

Lu Lingqi's attacks were aggressive and relentless. Her twin halberds moved with incredible speed and precision, each strike aimed to break through Xingcai's defenses. Xingcai, however, stood her ground, her shield deflecting each blow with practiced ease. Her sword flashed in swift, calculated strikes, testing Lu Lingqi's defenses. Her training with Cao Ren had borne its fruit.

The duel was a dance of power and precision, offense and defense. Lu Lingqi's ferocity was matched by Xingcai's unyielding resolve. Each clash of their weapons sent sparks flying, the intensity of their battle captivating the audience.

The crowd watched in awe as the two warriors pushed each other to their limits. Lu Lingqi's relentless offense was met with Xingcai's impenetrable defense, creating a perfect balance of power and skill. The duel was a testament to their training, determination, and respect for each other.

In a final, breathtaking exchange, Lu Lingqi launched a powerful overhead strike with both halberds. Xingcai raised her shield, absorbing the impact with a resounding clash. Seizing the moment, Xingcai spun around, her sword aimed low. Lu Lingqi, caught off guard, stumbled back, her defenses momentarily breached.

Xingcai's sword stopped just short of Lu Lingqi's side, a clear sign of her victory. The crowd erupted in applause, their admiration for both warriors evident. Lu Lingqi, breathing heavily, nodded in respect to Xingcai, acknowledging her skill and strength.

The tournament continued with an array of thrilling battles that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats. Each fight showcased the unique skills and strengths of the participants, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation.

Pang Tong and Ma Dai faced off in a duel that was as much a battle of wits as it was of physical prowess. Pang Tong's cunning strategies and Ma Dai's agile movements created a mesmerizing display of tactical brilliance and athletic finesse. In the end, Ma Dai's agility won out, but not without Pang Tong leaving a lasting impression on the audience with his clever maneuvers.

The clash between Dian Wei and Lu Bu was nothing short of spectacular. The sheer power and ferocity of both warriors resonated through the arena, each blow echoing like thunder. Despite Dian Wei's formidable strength, Lu Bu's relentless aggression and superior technique ultimately secured him the victory, leaving the crowd in awe of his might.

As the second day of the tournament concluded, the spectators eagerly anticipated the final day's events. But before the last day began, a special performance was scheduled—a musical duel between Zhen Ji and Cai Wenji, a battle of flute against harp.

The atmosphere shifted to serene anticipation as Zhen Ji took her place with her flute, and Cai Wenji with her harp. The two musicians exchanged respectful nods before beginning their performance. The flute's enchanting melodies intertwined with the harp's soothing notes, creating a harmonious symphony that captivated the audience. The crowd watched in rapt silence, moved by the beauty and emotion of the music.

When the final notes faded away, the audience erupted in applause, their appreciation for the artistry of Zhen Ji and Cai Wenji evident. The break provided a perfect transition to the most anticipated event of the tournament—the battle of Titans: Brian vs. Lu Bu.

As the final day dawned, the arena was filled, the air buzzing with excitement and anticipation. Fa Zheng, ever the master of ceremonies, took his place once more, his devilish grin promising a spectacle unlike any other.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Fa Zheng's voice boomed across the arena, "we have witnessed incredible battles, unmatched skills, and the indomitable spirit of warriors. But now, prepare yourselves for the ultimate clash! In this corner, we have the fearless and mighty, the unparalleled force of nature—Lu Bu!"

The crowd roared as Lu Bu stepped forward, his presence commanding and intimidating. He brandished his weapon with a flourish, his eyes gleaming with fierce determination.

"And in this corner," Fa Zheng continued, his voice dripping with anticipation, "we have the one who has led us through countless victories, the strategist, the warrior—Lord Brian!"

The cheers grew even louder as Brian entered the arena, his halberd at the ready. He met Lu Bu's gaze with unwavering resolve, the respect between the two warriors palpable.

Fa Zheng raised his arms, his voice reaching a fever pitch. "A clash of titans, a duel for the ages! Who will emerge victorious? Let the battle begin!"

The arena fell silent as the two warriors squared off, their eyes locked in a fierce stare. The crowd held its breath, knowing they were about to witness a battle that would be talked about for generations to come.

As Brian held Soul Crusher, he could feel the weapon burst with energy. It was like it could feel the opponent's strength, and was eager awaiting for the challenge. Lu Bu merely grinned, his eyes staring eagerly at Brian. ''Finally, I can have a duel with you again,'' Lu Bu grinned. ''No others that can that can spoil the fun. Just you and I. Lord Brian Miller, show me your true strength!'' Lu Bu bellowed, hyping the crowd for what was about to come.

Brian grinned in response, his eyes locked on Lu Bu's. He twirled his halberd, Soul Crusher, in a display of skill and confidence, letting the weapon's energy resonate with the crowd. His silence spoke volumes, the grin and the movement of his weapon signaling his acceptance of Lu Bu's challenge.

The crowd's anticipation reached a fever pitch, their cheers echoing through the arena as the two titans prepared to clash. The air was thick with tension, every eye focused on the center of the arena where the two warriors stood.

Fa Zheng, sensing the intensity, raised his arms to silence the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen, brace yourselves for the duel of a lifetime! Let the battle... begin!"

With a roar, Lu Bu charged forward, his weapon swinging in a powerful arc. Brian met his attack head-on, the clash of their weapons sending shockwaves through the arena. The sheer force of their initial impact left the crowd gasping, the raw power of their strikes evident from the start.

Lu Bu's attacks were relentless, each swing of his weapon a testament to his strength and skill. Brian, however, matched him blow for blow, his movements precise and calculated. The two warriors danced around each other, their weapons clashing in a symphony of metal and power. "Yes! Yes! Give me more!" Lu Bu thundered, a wide grin on his face.

The energy was top-notch from the first moment, and even as several minutes passed, that energy level stayed high. Their weapons clashed, echoing loudly over the terrain. Their eyes were confident, not a moment of hesitation or trouble in their gazes. A clash in the middle pushed both back, giving the viewer a moment to blink. Lu Bu grinned as he bellowed, "Yes! This is what I expect of the liberator of China! But even now you are holding back."

Brian smiled, not losing his gaze on the beast of chaos. "What made you realize that?"

The crowd was stunned; they couldn't believe what they heard. What they had seen was not their best?

"So my intention was right!" Lu Bu stated before he slammed the tip of Sky Piercer on the ground and announced, "From this point on, I will go all out. If you are ready to face me, prepare to give it your all!"

Before Brian could answer, Lu Bu launched at him. Sky Piercer struck him from above, just barely avoided by Brian's quick reaction. Lu Bu did not pause as he turned and continued his relentless assault.

Brian's silence continued, his focus unbroken as he countered Lu Bu's relentless assault. The energy of Soul Crusher surged through him, guiding his movements and amplifying his strength. Each clash of their weapons sent sparks flying, the intensity of their battle captivating everyone present.

Lu Bu, grinning fiercely, redoubled his efforts, his attacks becoming even more aggressive. A golden glow cast over him, meaning he entered his rage mode. Brian met his challenge with unwavering resolve, his movements a seamless blend of offense and defense, as the same golden glow cast over him as well. The two warriors were evenly matched, their duel a testament to their skill and determination.

In a final, breathtaking exchange, Lu Bu launched a powerful overhead strike, his weapon descending with incredible force. Brian raised Soul Crusher, absorbing the impact and redirecting the blow. Seizing the moment, Brian spun around, his halberd sweeping low.

Caught off guard, Lu Bu stumbled, his weapon momentarily out of position. With a swift, decisive movement, Brian disarmed Lu Bu, sending Sky Piercer flying across the arena. The crowd erupted in applause, their admiration for both warriors evident.

With a grudging nod, Lu Bu acknowledged Brian's skill and strength. His fierce eyes softened slightly, showing a rare moment of vulnerability. "Hmph, you think this means anything? Don't let it go to your head," Lu Bu grunted, his voice carrying a tone of deep respect despite his gruff words. "But...you've proven yourself, Lord Brian. You can stand by my side in battle."

Brian wanted to say it was the other way around but decided to go against it. Judging from the in-game message of a bond increase, he concluded this was Lu Bu's way to show he trusted him. Brian extended his hand, smiled, and answered, ''Very well. Let us show this land what the two of us can do together.''

As the final duel came to an end and the crowd's applause gradually subsided, Fa Zheng stepped forward one last time, his presence commanding the attention of everyone present. His devilish grin and gleaming eyes hinted at the culmination of the tournament and the promise of what lay ahead.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Fa Zheng's voice rang out, dripping with his characteristic blend of menace and enthusiasm, "what a spectacle we have witnessed! A display of strength, skill, and unwavering resolve. Each warrior here has proven their worth, not just to themselves, but to all of us."

The crowd's cheers grew louder, their excitement still palpable from the incredible duels they had witnessed. Fa Zheng continued, his voice carrying a tone of dark promise, "But remember, this tournament was not merely for our entertainment. It was a preparation, a proving ground for the challenges that await us. Our enemies think they can stand against us, but they have yet to face the true might of our united forces."

He paused, letting his words sink in, before continuing with a hint of vengeance in his tone, "Debts must be paid, and vengeance will be ours. Our enemies will learn the true meaning of fear when they face the warriors who have shown their mettle here today. Under the leadership of our lord, and our Emperor, we will bring this land to its knees and forge a new era of peace and prosperity."

The crowd's roar of approval was deafening, their spirits lifted by Fa Zheng's words. He turned to the Emperor, who nodded in solemn agreement, before addressing the crowd one final time, "Prepare yourselves, for the real battles are yet to come. Together, we will shape the future of this land. This tournament was just the beginning. The true test of our strength lies ahead, and I have no doubt we will emerge victorious."

With that, Fa Zheng raised his arms, signaling the end of the tournament. The crowd erupted in applause once more, their confidence in the future unwavering. Soldiers who had gathered today roared, inspired, and invigorated. All officers who had fought in this tournament felt ready for that true battle by those words, shouting Lord Brian's name.
