Sea-Swept Thunder

Prologue

?, 300 Years before A_ awakens.

My first memories… were of my creator… my mother…

A divine lightning was what had forged me, with expectation that I would one day hold a most holy Gnosis where a human's heart would be, yet such things would not come to pass.

The last memories I hold of my home are of my mother sealing me away for 'my own sake.'

Then, I fell into a dreamless sleep as time marched on around me, and only to wake in the hold of a ship breaking apart in a horrid storm.

The last thing I felt before losing my newly gained consciousness was stabbing and crushing pain as a ship collapsed around me.

?, 246 Years before L_ awakens.

Consciousness came and went those first few years as my body desperately tried to repair itself, devouring my limited stores of divine energy. A jagged shard of Electro Crystal had embedded itself into my 'skull' right above my left eye, leaving my vision in it tinted purple and damaged… I could feel debris pressing down on my limbs, half of them probably irreparably crushed by the debris. My vision darkened as I lost consciousness once more and I sent out a silent cry for help…

?, 189 Years before A_ awakens.

I lost track of how many times I pleaded, begged for my creator to find me, to save me from this prison… Each time I woke up, I spent more and more time awake until eventually I lost count of the days that had passed. Every now and then I'd see figures swimming above, unknowing of the soul trapped beneath them. Sometimes they would go near the wreck that trapped me, but none would dare enter. They feared that the wreck would fall around them, even if they had known I was stuck here. I closed my eye and tried to let my consciousness fade…

?, 120 Years before L_ awakens.

Why? Why does she not hear me? Why does she forsake me to this fate? What did I do, why do you let me suffer? Was I not good enough for you mother?

I felt something shift around me, dirt and sand kicked up as the debris shifted. I couldn't see anything on my left side anymore.

The wreckage is growing more unstable… I'd give it a year or two before it collapses fully. At least I won't have to suffer much longer…

I felt a presence briefly, it carried the essence of Hydro but it seemed… Incomplete, as if it were a portion of a divine being… It left shortly after I noticed it… Maybe… No, it didn't matter anymore, soon I'd be free of this prison one way or another.

For now I'd rest, and let what time I had left waste away…

?, 119 Years before the Traveler awakens.

My rest was interrupted by the noise of debris shifting and moving, guess it's time… Wreckage began to break apart around me, and debris began to fall towards me. I closed my eyes anticipating an end, yet it never came…

My eye opened and went wide as I beheld the presence I had sensed previously. She had come back, with aid as I noticed the draconic presence nearby. A bubble of air enveloped me as the debris pinning me down was removed by currents of water, and lifted me back to a world I had lost hope of ever seeing.

I gazed up at my rescuers, they were speaking yet I couldn't hear them.

I felt something warm run down my face as my voice, damaged by years under the sea, rang out for the first time, "Why?"
And once more, my world went dark as my consciousness faded once more…

Hope this one turns out good.
