Chapter 21: Adventurous Journey

The next day...

After Freddy and his friends had breakfast, they walked wherever would take them to Las Vegas the quickest. He used the gps on his phone to take them on the fastest avaliable route. The hot sun didn't make things easier, especially being in mostly desert with very few trees. The gang were sweating like crazy from the intense heat.

Just then, Bonnie took out his phone to start recording himself. "Video log entry number 1," he said, "Just 5 days ago, me and my friends were hit with our pizzeria being closed, until it was burned down by Montgomery Gator and his pals. In case we don't make it, my name is Bonnie and my friends are Freddy, Chica, and Foxy. Please expose the gator for what he's done to not just us, but other businesses. Anyway, this is Bonnie, signing out."

He put down the phone and stopped walking when he saw Freddy, Chica, and Foxy stopped, looking at him. "What?" asked Bonnie. "Did you seriously start a video log?" said Freddy. "We've only been walking for like 20 minutes," added Chica. Bonnie then looked behind himself, to see motel far in the distance. "It's hot," said Bonnie, "And who knows, we may very well burn up out here before we get to Las Vegas." "We ain't in Death Valley," said Foxy. The gang continued walking, as Bonnie shrugged, believing it was a justifiable decision.

Back in town...

Mayor Friedlander was on the scene of where the pizzeria was. He sighed, "What did I get myself into working with you Monty?" Whether Bruce regretted this or was simply frustrated was anyone's guess, but it was obvious that this had only created problems that lasted longer than they were supposed to. The hopes of getting Freddy Fazbear's and Fazbear Entertainment to shut down had only been half successful. Because on one hand, Fredbear was locked up and his company behind the pizzeria was essentially shut down. But on the other hand, if his son and friends weren't locked up yet despite the pizzeria burning down and all evidence gone, then there was still a chance that Bruce, Monty, Sparky, Dan, and everyone else involved would get found out.

Out of the blue, a construction crew showed up with equipment. One of them were walking to where the pizzeria stood. "Who the hell are you?" asked Friedlander. "Ain't it obvious?" replied the one walking, "We're here to take this building down starting tomorrow, just setting up the equipment. Anyway, Mr. Gator was a real great guy getting us our jobs in the construction business. Now we can brag about working with him and working on buildings!" Mayor Friedlander was less than impressed, "Yeah yeah, I hope he's happy with putting his Monty's Gator Golf here!"

As the construction crew were getting ready to set up their things, Friedlander walked off. "For God's sake, let this be the last thing to deal with," he said to himself, clearly wanting this to be done and over with, so he can be free from the headache this situation has caused him for days.

Meanwhile...

Freddy and his friends continued walking their way to Las Vegas. Along the way, there were was somewhat of a forest they went through, it was real nice. Then at the end of it, there was a row boat on the edge of a pretty sizable lake. The gang used it as Freddy did the rowing. It was a relaxing ride to get to the other side, until a bee became present, causing Bonnie to jump off the boat and into the water.

Later, some berries were discovered. "Those are the rare Brown Berries, they are real nutritious," said Freddy, as he ate some. Minutes later, he threw up in a seperate bush. "I was incorrect," he stated. "It wasn't me this time," said Bonnie surprised.

Some more time went by, and the gang stopped by some random park after picking up food from a nearby store to have before they continued onward. There was one public grill that they used to cook the food, out of many that were in the park. However, in the middle of cooking the food, Foxy's arm caught fire. Luckily, he was able to take it out before it could do any real harm to him.

By now, it was at least noon time. Freddy and his friends had left the hotel a good 2 hours ago and they were understandably getting real tired from all the walking. Chica thought she heard something somewhere in a bush, so she went to whatever was being heard. She then ran as soon as she realized it was a group of people wearing masks, including her friends. Not much was known about the people in the masks or why they were randomly camping in the bushes, but it was presumed they were looking to rob whoever they came across.

Even more time went by and Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy exhaustedly climbed up a hill that was mostly sand as they had been officially in desert territory since they used to boat to cross the lake. Freddy himself had stopped using his phone for the sake of conserving battery and because the route said to continue going straight ahead. It was undoubtly an adventurous journey, but it was getting to the point of where the gang needed to stop for a long period of time. Right as they went over the hill, likely to rest before they continued on, a familiar sight was seen right in front of them.

After 2 and a half hours of walking, they could see off into the distance, the one and only Las Vegas, Nevada! "Oh, mother of God, finally!" said Bonnie as he got on his knees and reached out his arms, "We are finally here!" "2 and a half hours to get here wasn't half bad," said Chica, "Shows how close we really were." "Though, we have been through a lot on the journey lassie," added Foxy, "But we did it. We are finally here." "That we are Foxy," said Freddy, then sitting on a rock, "But can we take a break first? I need to rest my feet?" "Us too," replied Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy almost at the same time, as they too sat down somewhere.
