A Rough Day In Kindergarten

The next day was Halloween, and it was going to be an exciting day because that night, Tommy, Dil, Chuckie, Kimi, Phil, Lil, Angelica, and Susie would enjoy a super fun night of thrills, chills, and treats.

Chuckie saw Kimi getting a change of clothes from her closet.

"Hurry it up, Slowpoke," Chuckie said to Kimi. "Dad will be driving us to school any minute!"

"Keep the buttons on your shirt, Chuckie," Kimi said. "I'll be ready shortly!"

Kimi got dressed and grabbed the stuffed stottish terrier that her biological father, Hiro sent her for her fourth Kodomo no Hi (Children's Day) which she named Toto.

At recess at the grade school, Kimi was in the sandbox playing with Toto.

When Terry McNulty suddenly came up behind Kimi and grabbed Toto out of her hand.

"Hey," Kimi snapped, jumping to her feet. "that's mine! Give it back!"

"Why don't you come and get it?!" sneered Terry as he and his friends started playing a game of keep away. they were all taller than Kimi so it wasn't very hard for them to do.

Chuckie was nearby on the swing set and saw what was happening.

Terry and his buddies were so focused on tormenting Kimi that they didn't see Chuckie jump out of the swing and run toward Mister Webber.

The boys were laughing and Kimi was nearly crying when Mister Webber's angry booming voice stopped everything in its tracks.

"MISTER MCNULTY, THAT IS ENOUGH," he boomed striding toward the troublemakers with an angry look on his face, he turned his glare on the McNulty boy's friends. "AND THAT GOES FOR BOTH OF YOU TOO!"

For the first time since the trouble started Terry looked scared, Mister Webber was a nice teacher and it took a lot for him to get mad, so when he did, it was scary.

"We were just having a little bit of fun." Terry protested.

"Whatever that is that you took from Miss Finster, give it back, now!" Mister Webber ordered Terry and his friends.

Terry's face paled and he quickly handed the stuffed dog back to Kimi.

"This is Toto, Mister Webber," Kimi said, "my dad gave him to me."

Mister Webber's expression softened and he smiled at Kimi.

"That's wonderful Kimi," he said, then he turned back to the Terry and his two friends and was immediately scowling again. "You three, to the principal's office! I think it's time to call your parents!"

"No, please," Terry begged, if possible, he and his friends looked even more scared. "don't call our parents!"

Mr. Webber was unmoved, "Get going!" he said, pointing toward the building.

Chuckie and Kimi saw Terry and his friends running toward the school building.
