So since this story takes place one year after most of the other stories, this is where I introduce Glass Joe and Dana's daughter Lily who I calculated by doing the math if she was conceived in November and since I decided a Mutant Dog like Dana's pregnancy takes 8 months instead of a human's usual 9 months was born in the June of this year which should make her four and a half months old but as we shall soon see Mutant Babies advance far more quickly than their human counterparts

So for both Dana and Bacon Bit it was one last hug with their respective Glass Joe and Von Kaiser respectively before the Turtles came to take them to where the secret private jet was located…

It was when they were out of sight and Joe closed the door that it really hit him...He may really never see Dana again and there was nothing he could do about it!

And then he heard the familiar squeaking sound...Their daughter Lily was on the living room floor playing with her squeaky toy bone (Joe really wasn't sure it was right to get squeaky toys for his daughter as she wasn't an ordinary puppy she was a person...But when shopping at the store she reached out and grabbed the toy off the shelf and didn't want to let go, so Dana told Joe they should let her keep it 'There's nothing wrong with a little harmless indulging of instincts') At only four and a half months old, Lily was already far more mobile than a human baby of her age...Taking mostly after her Mother's form but she had her Father's red 'head-fur' on her scalp in addition to her her usual black and tan Doberman coat while she still didn't yet have any teeth she was already eating soft foods (Which was very good, because Dana could only pump out so much breast milk before she left)

Joe sighed as he went to sit in his armchair as he watched his beautiful hybrid daughter play at his feet.

But as he thought about the very likely possibility that he may never see Dana again and he may become a widower...He thought about the fact he was now 40 years old...By the time Lily would be ten years old he would be 50! He knew he had waited too long to become a father...But for the longest time he was only thinking about his boxing career and never thought any woman would actually want to settle down with him anyway! And while his family did have a reputation of maintaining their good looks...Most notably a full head of hair well into old age, which was something that made Don Flamenco spit with envy more than once...Handsome is not necessarily the same thing as healthy! And Joe was really worried he would not be able to keep up with a Mutant child as he grew older…

He began to weep into his hands "Je ne peux pas faire ça tout seul!" Slipping into his Native French when talking purely to himself.

But then he heard a squeak and felt something warm clinging to his leg! He looked down and saw Lily, her squeaky bone still in her mouth but she quickly put it down and gave a soft little woof He saw in her eyes that she was clearly concerned when she heard him crying, already at such a tender age she was so perceptive…

So in spite of himself Joe smiled, trying to be brave for his daughter…
"Lily…" He crooned softly "...My petit chiot…"

He reached down and picked up Lily and put her in his lap and softly stroked with a finger her soft red head-fur As he tried to think of what to do in this situation he decided to sing the song his Grandfather used to sing for him and his sister when they were little…

So he softly began to sing "Alouette, gentille alouette…"
That song specifically being a French Canadian song takes on special significance with the revelation Glass Joe's grandparents were from Quebec
